ichchhāyāramahatthan suttaṭhio jo hu chhaṇḍae kamman.
ṭhāṇe ṭṭhiyasammattan paraloyasuhaṅkaro hodi.. 14..
ichchhākāramahārthan sūtrasthitaḥ yaḥ sphuṭan tyajati karma.
sthāne sthittasamyaktvaḥ paralok sukhaṅkaraḥ bhavati.. 14..

arthaḥ––jo puruṣh jinasūtra men tiṣhṭhatā huā ichchhākār shabdake mahān pradhān arthako jānatā hai aur sthān jo shrāvakake bhedarūp pratimāommen tiṣhṭhatā huā samyaktva sahit vartatā hai, ārambhādi karmoṅko chhoṛatā hai, vah paralok men sukh karane vālā hotā hai. bhavārthaḥ––utkr̥uṣhṭa shrāvak ko ichchhākār kahate hain so jo ichchhākārake pradhān artha ko jānatā hai or sūtra anusār samyaktva sahit ārambhādik chhoṛakar utkr̥uṣhṭa shrāvak hotā hai vah paralokamen svarga sukh pātā hai..14.. āge kahate hain ki–jo ichchhākār ke pradhān arthako nahīn jānatā aur anya dharmakā ācharaṇ karatā hai vah siddhiko nahīn pātā haiḥ––

ah puṇ appā ṇichchhadi dhammāin karei ṇiravasesāin.
tah viṇ pāvadi siddhin sansārattho puṇo bhaṇido.. 15..
ath punaḥ ātmānan nechchhati dharmān karoti niraveshaṣhān.
tathāpi na prāpnoti siddhin sansārasthaḥ punaḥ bhaṇitaḥ.. 15..

arthaḥ––‘ath punaḥ’ shabdakā aisā artha hai ki–pahalī gāthāmen kahā thā ki jo ichchhākārake pradhān arthako jānatā hai vah āchāraṇ karake svargasukh pātā hai. vahī ab phir kahate hain ki ichchhākārakā pradhān artha ātmāko chāhanā hai, apane svarūpamen ruchi karanā hai. vah isako jo iṣhṭa nahīn karatā hai aur anya dharmake samasta ācharaṇ karatā hai to bhī siddhi arthāt mokṣhako nahīn pātā hai aur usako sansār men hī rahane vālā kahā hai. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

sūtrastha samyagdr̥uṣhṭiyut je jīv chhoḍe karmane,
‘īchchhāmi’ yogya padastha te paralokagat sukhane lahe. 14.
paṇ ātmāne ichchhayā vinā dharmo asheṣh kare bhale,
topaṇ lahe nahi siddhine, bhavamān bhame–āgam kahe. 15.

bhāvārthaḥ––ichchhākārakā pradhān artha āpako chāhanā hai, so jisake apane svarūp kī ruchirūp samyaktva nahīn hai, usako sab muni, shrāvakakī ācharaṇarūp pravr̥utti mokṣhakā kāraṇ nahīn hai..15.. āge is hī artha ko dr̥urḥ karake upadesh karate hainḥ––

eeṇ kāraṇeṇ ya tan appā sadraheh tiviheṇa.
jeṇ ya laheh mokkhan tan jāṇijjah payatteṇa.. 16..
eten kāraṇen cha tan ātmānan shraddhatta trividhena.
yen cha labhadhvan mokṣhan tan jānīt prayatnena.. 16..

arthaḥ––pahile kahā ki jo ātmā ko iṣhṭa nahīn karatā hai usake siddhi nahīn hai, is
hī kāraṇ se he bhavya jīvon! tum us ātmā kī shraddhā karo, usakā shraddhān karo, man–vachan–
kāyase svarūpamen ruchi karo, is kāraṇ se mokṣhako pāo aur jisase mokṣha pāte hain usako
prayatna dvārā sab prākarake udyam karake jāno.
(bhāv pāhuḍ gā. 87 men bhī yah bāt hai.)

bhāvārthaḥ––jisase mokṣha pāte hain usahakio jānanā, shraddhān karanā yah pradhān upadesh hai,
anya āḍambarase kyā prayojan? isaprakār jānanā..16..

āge kahate hain ki jo jinasūtra ko jānane vāle muni hain unakā svarūp phir dr̥urḥ karane
ko kahate hainḥ––
vālaggakoḍimettan parigahagahaṇan ṇa hoi sāhūṇan.
bhuñjei pāṇipatte diṇṇaṇṇan ikkaṭhāṇammi.. 17..
bālāgrakoṭimātran parigrahagrahaṇan na bhavati sādhūnām.
bhuñjīt pāṇipātre dattamanyen ekasthāne.. 17..

ā kāraṇe te ātmānī trividhe tame shraddhā karo,
te ātmane jāṇo prayatne, muktine jethī varo. 16.

karapātramān paradatta bhojan ek sthān viṣhe kare. 17.

arthaḥ––bāl ke agrabhāg kī koṭi arthāt aṇīmātra bhī parigrah kā grahaṇ sādhuke nahīn hotā hai. yahān̐ āshaṅkā hai ki yadi prarigrah kuchh nahīn hai to āhār kaise karate hain? isakā samādhān karate hain–āhār karate hain to pāṇimātra (karapātra) apane hāth men bhojan karaten hain, vah bhī anya kā diyā huā prāsuk anna mātra lete hain, vah bhī ek sthān par hī lete hain, bārambār nahīn lete aur anya sthān men nahīn lete haĩn. bhāvārthaḥ––jo muni āhār hī par kā diyā huā prāsuk yogya annamātra nirdoṣh ekabār dinamen apane hāthamen lete hain to anya parigrah kisaliye grahaṇ karen? arthāt nahīn grahaṇ karen, jinasūtra men isaprakār muni kahen haĩn..17.. āge kahate hain ki alpa parigrah grahaṇ kare usamen doṣh kyā hai? usako doṣh dikhāte hainḥ––

jah jāyarūvasariso tilatusamettan ṇa gihadi hatthesu.
jai lei appabahuyan tatto puṇ jāi ṇiggodam.. 18..
yathājātarūpasadrashaḥ tilatuṣhamātran na gr̥uhṇāti hastayoḥ.
yadi lāti alpabahukan tataḥ punaḥ yāti nigodam.. 18..

arthaḥ––muni yathājāt rūp haĩn. jaise, janmatā bālak nagnarūp hotā hai vaise hī nagnarūp
digambar mudrākā dhārak hai, vah apane hāthase tilake tuṣhamātra bhī kuchh grahaṇ nahīn karatā; aur
yadi kuchh thoṛā bahut leve grahaṇ kare to vah muni grahaṇ karane se nigod men jātā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––muni yathājātarūp digambar nirganthako kahate haĩn. vah isaprakār hokarake bhī
kuchh parigrah rakhe to jānon kī jin sūtra kī shraddhā nahīn hai, mithyādr̥uṣhṭi hai. isaliye
mithyātvakā phal nigod hī hai. kadāchit kuchh tapashcharaṇādik kare to usase shubh karma bān̐dhakar
svargādik pāve, to bhī ekendriy hokar sansār hī men bhramaṇ karatā hai.

janmyā pramāṇe rūp, talatuṣhamātra karamān nav grahe,
thoḍun ghaṇun paṇ jo grahe to prāpta thāy nigodane. 18.

yahān̐ prashna hai ki–munike sharīr hai, āhār karatā hai, kamaṇḍalu, pīchhī, pustak rakhatā hai, yahān̐ til–tuṣhamātra bhī rakhanā nahīn kahā, so kaise? isakā samādhān yah hai ki–mithyātva sahit rāgabhāv se apanākar apane viṣhay–kaṣhāy puṣhṭa karane ke liye rakhe usako parigrah kahate hain, is nimitta kuchh thoṛā bahut rakhane kā niṣhedh kiyā hai aur keval sanyamake nimittakā to sarvathā niṣhedh nahīn hai. sharīr to āyu paryanta chhoṛane par bhī chhūṭatā nahīn hai, isakā to mamatva hī chhūṭatā hai, so usakā niṣhedh kiyā hī hai. jab tak sharīr hai tab tak āhār nahīn karen to sāmarthya hī nahīn ho, tab sanyam nahīn sadhe, isaliye kuchh yogya āhār vidhipūrvak sharīr se rāgarahit hote hue lekar ke sharīr ko khaṛā rakh kar sanyam sādhate haĩn. kamaṇḍalu bāhya shauchakā upakaraṇ hai, yadi nahīn rakhen to mal–mūtra kī ashuchitā se pañch parameṣhṭhī kī bhakti vandanā kaise karen? aur lok nindya hõn. pīchhī dayā kā upakaraṇ hai, yadi nahīn rakhen to jīvasahit bhūmi ādikī pratilekhanā kisase karen? pustak gnān kā upakaraṇ hai, yadi nahīn rakhen to paṭhan–pāṭhan kaise ho? in upakaraṇoṅkā rakhanā bhī mamatvapūrvak nahīn hai, in se rāg bhāv nahīn hai. āhār–vihār–paṭhan–pāṭhanakī kriyā yukta jab tak tahe tab tak kevalagnān bhī utpanna nahīn hotā hai, in sab kriyāon ko chhoṛakar sharīrakā bhī sarvathā mamatva chhoṛ dhyān avasthā lekar tiṣhṭhe , apane svarūp men tīn hon tab tak param nirgarantha avasthā hotī hai, tab shreṇī ko prāpta hue munirājake kevalagnān utpanna hotā hai, anya kriyā sahit ho tab tak kevalagnān utpanna nahīn hotā hai, isaprakār nirgaranthapanā mokṣhamārga jinasūtramen kahā hai.

shvetāmbar kahaten hain ki bhavasthiti pūrī hone par sab avasthāommen kevalagnān utpanna hotā hai to yah kahanā mithyā hai, jinasūtra kā yah vachan nahīn hai. in shvetāmbaronne kalpitasūḷ banāyen hain unamen likhā hogā. phir yahān̐ shvetāmbar kahate hain ki jo tumane kahā vah vah to utsarga mārga hai, apavād mārga men vastrādik upakaraṇ rakhanā kahā hai, jaise tumane dharmopakaraṇ kahe vaise hī vastrādik bhī dharmopakaraṇ haĩn. jaise kṣhudhā kī bādhā āhār se miṭā kar sanyam sādhate hain, vaise hī shīt ādikī bādhā vastra ādi se miṭā kar sanyam sādhate hain, isamen visheṣh kyā? isako kahate hain ki isamen to baṛe doṣh āte haĩn. tathā koī kahate hain ki kām vikār utpanna ho tab strī sevan kare to isamen kyā visheṣh? isaliye isaprakār kahanā yukta nahīn hai.

kṣhudhākī bādhā to āhārase miṭānā yukta hai. āhār ke binā deh ashakta ho jātā hai tathā chhūṭ jāve to apaghātakā doṣh ātā hai; parantu shīt ādi kī bādhā to alpa hai, yah to gnānābhyās ādike sādhanase hī miṭ jātī hai. apavād–mārga kahā vah to jisamen munipad rahe aisī kriyā karanā to apavād–mārga hai, parantu jis parigrah se tathā jis kriyā se munipad bhraṣhṭa hokar gr̥uhasthake samān ho jāve vah to apavād–mārga nahīn hai. digambar mudrā dhāraṇ karake kamaṇḍalu–pīchhī sahit āhār–vihār–upadeshādik men pravarte vah apavād–mārga hai aur sab pravr̥utti ko chhoṛakar dhyānastha ho shuddhopayog men līn ho jāne ko utsarga–mārga kahā hai. isaprakār munipad apane se sadhatā na jānakar kisaliye shithilāchārakā poṣhaṇ karanā? muni pad kī sāmarthya na ho to shrāvakadharmakā hī pālan karanā, paramparā se isī se siddhi ho jāvegī. jinasūtra kī yathārtha shraddhā rakhane se siddhi hai isake binā anya kriyā sab hī sansāramārga hai, mokṣhamārga nahīn hai–isaprakār jānanā..18.. āge is hī kā samarthan karate hainḥ––

jasma pariggahagahaṇan appan bahuyan cha havai liṅgassa.
so garahiu jiṇavayaṇe parigaharahio ṇirāyāro.. 19..
yasya parigrahagrahaṇan alpan bahukan cha bhavati liṅgasya.
sa garhyaḥ jinavachane parigrah rahitaḥ nirāgāraḥ.. 19..

arthaḥ––jisake mat men liṅg jo bheṣh usake parigrahakā alpa tathā bahut grahaṇ karanā
kahā hai vah mat tathā usakā shraddhāvān puruṣh garhit hai, nindāyogya hai, kyoṅki jinavachan men
parigrah hī nirāgār hai, nirdoṣh muni hai, isaprakār kahā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––shvetāmbarādik ke kalpit sūtrommen bheṣhamen alpa–bahut parigrah kā grahaṇ kahā
hai, vah siddhānta tathā usake shraddhānī nindya haĩn. jinavachanamen parigrah rahit ko hī nirdoṣh muni
kahā hai ..19..

āge kahate hain ki jinavachanamen aisā muni vandane yogya kahā haiḥ––

re! hoy bahu vā alpa parigrah sādhune jenā mate,
te nindya chhe; jinavachanamān muni niṣhparigrah hoy chhe. 19.

pañchamahavvayajutto tihin guttihin jo sa sañjado hoī.
ṇigganthamokkhamaggo so hodi hu vandaṇijjo ya.. 20..
pañchamahāvratayuktaḥ tisr̥ubhiḥ guptibhiḥ yaḥ sa sanyato bhavati.
nirgraranthamokṣhamārgaḥ sa bhavati hi vandanīyaḥ cha.. 20..

arthaḥ––jo muni pañch mahāvrat yukta ho aur tīn gupti sanyukta ho vah sanyat hai,
sanyamavān hai aur nirgarantha mokṣhamārga hai tathā vah hī pragaṭ nishchayase vandane yogya hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––ahinsā, satya, astey, brahmacharya aur aparigrah–in pān̐ch mahāvrat sahit ho
aur man, vachan, kāyarūp tīn gupti sahit ho vah sanyamī hai, vah nirgrantha svarūp hai, vah hī
vandane yogya hai. jo kuchh alpa–bahut parigrah rakhe so mahāvratī sanyamī nahīn hai, yah mokṣhamārga
nahīn hai aur gr̥uhasthake samān bhī nahīn hai..20..

āge kahate hain ki pūrvokta ek bheṣh to munikā kahā ab dūsarā bheṣh utkr̥uṣhṭa shrāvakakā
is prakār kahā haiḥ––
duiyan cha utta liṅgan ukkiṭṭhan avarasāvayāṇan cha.
bhikkhan bhamei patte samidī bhāseṇ moṇeṇa.. 21..
dvitīyan choktan liṅgan utkr̥uṣhṭan avarashrāvakāṇān cha.
bhikṣhān bhramati pātre samiti bhāṣhayā maunena.. 21..

arthaḥ––dvitīy liṅg arthāt dūsarā bheṣh utkr̥uṣhṭa shrāvak jo gr̥uhastha nahīn hai isaprakār
utkr̥uṣhṭa shrāvakakā kahā hai vah utkr̥uṣhṭa shrāvak gyārahavīn pratimā kā dhārak hai, vah bhramaṇ karake
bhikṣhā dvārā bhojan kare aur patte arthāt pātramen bhojan kare tathā hāthamen kare aur samiti rūp
pravartatā huā bhāṣhāsamiti rūp bole athavā maun se rahe.

traṇ gupti, pañchamahāvrate je yukta, sanyat teh chhe;
nirgrantha muktimārga chhe te; te kharekhar vandya chhe. 20.
bījun kahyun chhe liṅg uttam shrāvakonun shāsane;
te vāksamiti vā maunayukta sapātra bhikṣhāṭan kare. 21.

bhāvārthaḥ––ek to muni yathājātarūp kahā aur dūsarā yah utkr̥uṣhṭa shrāvakakā kahā, vah gyārahavīn pratimākā dhārak utkr̥uṣhṭa shrāvak hai, vah ek vastra tathā kopīn mātra dhāraṇ karatā hai aur bhikṣhā bhojan karatā hai, pātra men bhī bhojan karatā hai aur karapātra men bhī karatā hai, samitirūp vachan bhī kahatā hai athavā maun bhī rahatā hai, isaprakār yah dūsarā bheṣh hai ..21.. āge tīsarā liṅg strīkā kahate hainḥ––

liṅgan itthīṇ havadi bhuñjai piṇḍan sueyakālammi.
ajjiy vi ekkavatthā vatthāvaraṇeṇ bhuñjedi.. 22..
liṅgan strīṇān bhavati bhuṅkte piṇḍan svek kāle.
āryā api ekavastrā vastrāvaraṇen bhuṅkte.. 22..

arthaḥ––striyoṅkā liṅg isaprakār hai–ek kāl men bhojan kare, bār–bār bhojan nahīn
kare, āryikā bhī ho to ek vastra dhāraṇ kare aur bhojan karate samay bhī vastrake āvaraṇ
sahit kare, nagna nahīn ho.

bhāvārthaḥ––strī āryikā bhī ho aur kṣhullikā bhī ho; ve donon hī bhojan to din men
ek bār hī karen, āryikā ho vah ek vastra dhāraṇ kiye hue hī bhojan kare nagna na ho.
isaprakār tīsarā strīkā liṅg hai..22..

āge kahate hain ki–vastra dhārak ke mokṣha nahīn, mokṣhamārga nagnapaṇā hī haiḥ––

chhe liṅg ek strīo taṇun, ekāshanī te hoy chhe;
āchārya ek ghare vasan, vastrāvr̥utā bhojan kare. 22.

ṇa vi sijjhadi vatthadharo jiṇasāsaṇe jai vihoi titthayaro.
ṇaggo vimokkhamaggo sesā ummaggayā savve.. 23..
nāpi sidhyati vastradharaḥ jinashāsane yadyapi bhavati tīrthaṅkaraḥ.
nagnaḥ vimokṣhamārgaḥ sheṣhā unmārgakāḥ sarve.. 23..

arthaḥ––jinashāstra men isaprakār kahā hai ki–vastra ko dhāraṇ karane vālā sījhatā nahīn
hai, mokṣha nahīn pātā hai, yadi tīrthaṅkar bhī ho jabatak gr̥uhastha rahe tab tak mokṣha nahīn pātā hai,
dīkṣhā lekar dīgambararūp dhāraṇ kare tab mokṣha pāve, kyoṅki nagnapanā hī mokṣhamārga hai, sheṣh sab
liṅg unmārga haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––shvetāmbar ādi vastradhārakake bhī mokṣha honā kahate hain vah mithyā hai, yah
jinamat nahīn hai..23..

āge, striyoṅkī dīkṣhā nahīn hai isakā kāraṇ kahate hainḥ––
liṅgammi ya itthīṇan thaṇantare ṇāhikakkhadesesu.
bhaṇio suhumo kāo tāsin kah hoi pavajjā.. 24..
liṅge cha strīṇān stanāntare nābhikakṣhadesheṣhu.
bhaṇitaḥ sūkṣhmaḥ kāyaḥ tāsān kathan bhavati pravrajyā.. 24..

arthaḥ––striyoṅke liṅg arthāt yonimen, stanāntar arthāt donon kūchoṅke mathyapradesh men tathā
kakṣha arthāt donon kāṅkhon men, nābhimen sūkṣhmakāy arthāt dr̥uṣhṭise agochar jīv kahen hain, ataḥ
isaprakār striyoṅke
1pravajyā arthāt dīkṣhā kaise ho?

bhāvārthaḥ––striyoṅke yonī, stan, kāṅkh, nābhimen pañchendriy jīvoṅkī utpatti nirantar kahīn hai, inake mahāvratarūp dīkṣhā kaise ho? mahāvrat kahe hain vah upachārase kahe hain, paramārthase nahīn hai, –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– 1 pāṭhāntar – pravajyā.


nahi vastradhar siddhi lahe, te hoy tīrthaṅkar bhale;
bas nagna muktimārga chhe, bākī badhā unmārga chhe. 23.

strīne stanonī pās, kakṣhe, yonimān nābhi viṣhe,
bāhu sūkṣhma jīv kahel chhe; kayam hoy dīkṣhā temane? 24.

sūtrapāhuḍ][65 strī apane sāmarthya kī hadda ko pahun̐chakar vrat dhāraṇ karatī hai is apekṣhā se upachār se mahāvrat kahe haĩn..24.. āge kahate hain ki yadi strī bhī darshan se shuddha hoto pāparahit hai, bhalī haiḥ––

jai dansaṇeṇ suddhā uttā maggeṇ sāvi sañjuttā.
dhoran chariy charittan itthīsu ṇa pavvayā bhaṇiyā.. 25..
yadi darshanen shuddhā uktā mārgeṇ sāpi sanyuktā.
dhoran charitvā chāritran strīṣhu na pāpakā bhaṇitā.. 25..

arthaḥ––striyommen jo strī darshan arthāt yathārtha jinamat kī shraddhāse shuddha hai vah bhī
mārgase sanyukta kahī gaī hai. jo ghor chāritra, tīvra tapashcharaṇādik āchāraṇase pāparahit hotī
hai isaliye use pāpayukta nahīn kahate haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––striyommen jo strī samyaktva sahit ho aur tapashcharaṇ kare to pāp rahit
hokar svargako prāpta ho isaliye prashansā yogya hai parantu strīparyāy se mokṣha nahīn hai..25..

āge kahate hain ki striyoṅke dhyānakī siddhi bhī nahīn haiḥ––
chittāsohi ṇa tesin ḍhillan bhāvan tahā sahāveṇa.
vijjadi māsā tesin itthīsu ṇa saṅkayā jhāṇā.. 26..
chittāshodhi na teṣhān shithilaḥ bhāvaḥ tathā svabhāvena.
vidyate māsā teṣhān strīṣhu na shaṅkayā dhyānam.. 26..

arthaḥ––un striyoṅke chittase shuddhatā nahīn hai, vaise hī svabhāvase bhī unake ḍhīlā bhāv hai,
shithil pariṇām hai aur usake māsā arthāt mās–mās men rudhir kā srāv vidyamān hai usakī
shaṅkā rahatī hai, usase striyoṅke dhyān nahīn hai.

jo hoy darshan shuddha to teney mārgayutā kahī;
chho charaṇ ghor chare chhatān strīne nathī dīkṣhā kahī. 25.

manashuddhi pūrī na nārīne, pariṇām shithil svabhāvathī,
valī hoy māsik dharma, strīne dhyān nahi nishaṅkathī. 26.

bhāvārthaḥ––dhyān hotā hai vah chitta shuddha ho, dr̥urḥ pariṇām hon, kisī tarah kī shaṅkā na ho tab hotā hai, so striyoṅke yah tīnon hī kāraṇ nahīn hain tab dhyān kaise ho? dhyānake binā kevalagnān kaise utpanna ho aur kevalagnān ke binā mokṣha nahīn hai, shvetāmbarādik mokṣha kahate hain vah mithyā hai ..26.. āge sūtrapāhuḍako samāpta karate hain, sāmānyarūp se sukhakā kāraṇ kahate hainḥ––

gāheṇ appagāhā samuddasalile sachel attheṇa.
ichchhā jāhu ṇiyattā tāh ṇiyattāin savvadukkhāin.. 27..
grāhyeṇ alpagrāhyāḥ samudrasalile svachelārthena.
ichchhā yebhyaḥ nivr̥uttāḥ teṣhān nivr̥uttāni sarvaduḥkhāni.. 27..

arthaḥ––jo muni grāhya arthāt grahaṇ karane yogya vastu āhār ādikase to alpa–grāhya
hain, thoṛā grahaṇ karate hain, jaise koī puruṣh bahut jalase bhare hue samudramen se apane vastra ko
dhoneke liye vastra dhonemātra jal grahaṇ karatā hai, aur jin muniyoṅke ichchhā nivr̥utta ho gaī
unake sab duḥkh nivr̥utta ho gaye.

bhāvārthaḥ––jagat men yah prasiddha hai ki jinake santoṣh hai ve sukhī hain, is nyāy se yah
siddha huā ki jin muniyoṅke ichchhākī nivr̥utti ho gaī hai, unake sansār ke viṣhay sambandhī ichchhā
kiñchitmātra bhī nahīn hai, deh se bhī virakta hain isaliye param santoṣhī hain, aur āhārādi kuchh
grahaṇ yogya hain unamen se bhī ulpa ko grahaṇ karate hain isaliye ve param santoṣhī hain, ve param sukhī
hainn, yah jinasūtra ke shraddhānakā phal hai, anya sūtra men yathārtha nivr̥uttikā prarūpaṇ nahīn hai, isaliye
kalyāṇake sukh ko chāhane vāloṅko jinasūtrakā nirantar sevan karanā yogya hai ..27..
aise sūtrapāhuḍ ko pūrṇa kiyā.

isaprakār maṅgalapūrvak pratignā karake ab chāritrapāhuṛ prākr̥it gāthābaddha kī deshabhāṣhāmay vachanikākā hindī anuvād likhā jātā hai. shrī kundakunda āchārya pratham hī maṅgalake liye iṣhṭadev ko namaskār karake chāritrapāhuṛako kahane kī pratignā karate hainḥ––

savvaṇhu savvadansī ṇimmohā vīyarāy parameṭṭhī.
vandittu tijagavandā arahantā bhavvajīvehin .. 1..

ṇāṇan dansaṇ samman chārittan sohikāraṇan tesĩn.
mokkhārāhaṇaheun chārittan pāhuḍan vochchhe .. 2.. yugmam.
sarvagnān sarvadarshinaḥ nirmohān vītarāgān parameṣhṭhinaḥ.
vanditvā trijagadvanditān arhataḥ bhavyajīvaiḥ .. 1..

gnānan darshanan samyak chāritran shuddhikāraṇan teṣhām.
mokṣhārādhanahetun chāritran prābhr̥utan vakṣhye .. 2.. yugmam.

arthaḥ––āchārya kahate hain ki main arahant parameṣhṭhīko namaskār karake chāritrapāhuṛ ko
kahūn̐gā. arahant parameṣhṭhī kaise hain? arahant aise prākr̥it akṣhar kī apekṣhā to aisā artha hai–akār
ādi akṣharase to ‘ari’ arthāt mohakarma, rakār akṣharakī apekṣhā raj arthāt gnānāvaraṇ
darshanāvaraṇ karma, us hī rakār se rahasya arthāt antarāy karma–isaprakār se chār ghātiyā
karmoṅko hananā–ghatānā jinake huā ve arahanta haĩn. sanskr̥itakī apekṣhā ‘arha’ aisā pūjā artha men
dhātu hai usase ‘arhan’ usase aisā niṣhpanna ho tab pūjā yogya ho usako arhat kahate hain vah
bhavya jīvonse pūjya hai. parameṣhṭhī kahane se param iṣhṭa arthāt

chāritrapāhuḍ][69 utkr̥uṣhṭa pūjya ho use parameṣhṭhī kahate hain athavā param jo utkr̥uṣhṭa pad men tiṣhṭhe vah parameṣhṭhī hai. isaprakār indrādik se pūjya arahanta parameṣhṭhī haĩn. sarvagna hain, sab lokālok svarūp charāchar padārthon ko pratyakṣha jāne vah sarvagna hai. sarvadarshī arthāt sab padārthoṅko dekhane vāle haĩn. nirmoh hain, mohanīy nāmake karma kī pradhān prakr̥iti mithyātva hai usase rahit haĩn. vītarāg hain, jinake visheṣharūp se rāg dūr ho gayā ho so vītarāg hain, unake chāritra mohanīy karmake udayase (–udayavash) ho aisā rāgadveṣh bhī nahīn hai. trijagaddhandya hain, tīn jagat ke prāṇī tathā unake svāmī indra, dharaṇendra, chakravartiyonse vandane yogya haĩn. isaprakārase arahanta padako visheṣhya karake aur anya padoṅko visheṣhaṇ karane par isaprakār bhī artha hotā hai, parantu vahān̐ arahanta bhavya jīvon se pūjya hain isaprakār visheṣhaṇ hotā hai. chāritra kaisā hai? samyagdarshan, samyaggnān, samyakchāritra ye tīn ātmāke pariṇām hain, unake shuddhatākā kāraṇ hai, chāritra aṅgīkār karane par samyagdarshanādi pariṇām nirdoṣh hotā hai. chāritra mokṣha ke ārādhan kā kāraṇ hai, –isaprakār chāritra pāhuṛ (prābhr̥ut) granthako kahūn̐gā, isaprakār āchārya ne maṅgalapūrvak pratignā kī hai..1–2.. āge samyagdarshanādi tīn bhāvon kā svarūp kahate hainḥ–– ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

jan jāṇai tan ṇāṇan jan pechchhai tan cha dansaṇan bhaṇiyan.
ṇāṇassa pichchhiyassa ya samavaṇṇā hoi chārittan.. 3..
yajjānāti tat gnānan yat pashyati tachcha darshanan bhaṇitam.
gnānasya darshanasya cha samāpannāt bhavati chāritram.. 3..

arthaḥ––jo jānatā hai vah gnān hai, jo dekhatā hai vah darshan hai aise kahā hai. gnān aur
darshan ke samāyog se chāritra hotā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––jāne vah to gnān aur dekhe, shraddhān ho vah darshan tathā donon ek rūp
hokar sthir honā chāritra hai..3..

āge kahate hain ki jo tīn bhāv jīvake hain unakī shuddhatā ke liye chāritra do prakār kā
kahā haiḥ––
ee tiṇṇi vi bhāvā havanti jīvassa akkhayāmeyā.
tiṇhan pi sohaṇatthe jiṇabhaṇiyan duvih chārittan.. 4..
ete trayo‘pi bhāvāḥ bhavanti jīvasya akṣhayāḥ ameyāḥ.
trayāṇāmapi shodhanārthan jinabhaṇitan dvividhan chāritran.. 4..

arthaḥ––ye gnān ādik tīn bhāv kahe, ye akṣhay aur ananta jīvake bhāv hain, inako
shodhane ke liye jinadev ne do prakār kā chāritra kahā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––jānanā, dekhanā aur ācharaṇ karanā ye tīn bhāv jīvake akṣhayānant hain,
akṣhay arthāt jisakā nāsh nahīn hai, amey arthāt anant jisakā pār nahīn hai, sab lokā
lokako jānanevālā gnān hai, isaprakār hī darshan hai, isaprakār hī chāritra hai tathāpi ghātikarma
ke nimitta se ashuddha hain, jo gnān–darshan–chāritrarūp hain isaliye shrī jinadev ne inako shuddha
karane ke liye inakā chāritra [ācharaṇ karanā] do prakār kā kahā hai ..4..

jinagnānadraṣhṭishuddhan prathaman samyaktva charaṇ chāritram.
dvitīyan sanyamacharaṇan jinagnānasandeshitan tadapi.. 5..

arthaḥ––pratham to samyaktvakā ācharaṇasvarūp chāritra hai, vah jinadevake gnān–darshan–
shraddhānase kiyā huā shuddha hai. dūsarā sanyamakā ācharaṇasvarūp chāritra hai, vah bhī jinadevake
gnānase dikhāyā huā shuddha hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––chāritra ko do prakār kā kahā hai. pratham to samyaktvakā ācharaṇ kahā vah
jo āgam men tattvārthakā svarūp kahā usako yathārtha jānakar shraddhān karanā aur usake shaṅkādi
atichār mal doṣh kahe, unakā parihār karake shuddha karanā tathā usake niḥshaṅkitādi guṇoṅkā
pragaṭ honā vah samyaktvacharaṇ chāritra hai aur jo mahāvrat ādi aṅgīkār karake sarvagnake
āgamamen kahā vaise sanyamakā ācharaṇ karanā, aur usake atichār ādi doṣhoṅko dūr karanā,
sanyamacharaṇ chāritra hai, isaprakār saṅkṣhep se svarūp kahā..5..

āge samyaktvacharaṇ chāritrake mal doṣhoṅkā parihār karake ācharaṇ karanā kahate hainḥ––
evan chiy ṇāūṇ ya savve michchhattados saṅkāi.
parihar sammattamalā jiṇabhaṇiyā tivihajoeṇa.. 6..

arthaḥ––aise pūrvokta prakār samyaktvācharaṇ chāritrako jānakar mithyātva karmake udayase
hue shaṅkādik doṣh samyaktvako ashuddha karane vāle mal hain aisā jinadev ne kahā hai, inako man,
vachan, kāyake tīnon yogon se chhoṛanā.

bhāvārthaḥ––samyaktvācharaṇ chāritra, shaṅkādi doṣh samyaktva ke mal hain, unako tyāgane par
shuddha hotā hai, isaliye inako tyāg karane kā upadesh jinadev ne kiyā hai. ve doṣh kyā hain vah
kahate hain––jinavachanamen vastu kā svarūp kahā usamen sanshay karanā shaṅkā doṣh hai; isake hone
par saptabhay ke nimitta se svarūp se chig jāy vah bhī shaṅkā hai. bhogon kī abhilāṣhā kāṅkṣhā
doṣh hai, isake hone par bhogoṅke liye svarūp se bhraṣhṭa ho jātā hai. vastuke svarūp arthāt dharma
men glāni karanā jugupsā doṣh hai, isake hone par dharmātmā puruṣhoṅke pūrvakarma ke uday se bāhya
malinatā dekhakar mat se chig jānā hotā hai.
dev–guru–dharma tathā laukik kāryon men mūrḥatā arthāt yathārtha svarūpako na jānanā so
mūrḥadr̥uṣhṭi doṣh hai, isake hone par anya laukik janonse māne hue sarāgī dev, hinsādharma aur
sagrantha guru tathā logoṅke binā vichār kiye hī mānī huī anek kriyā visheṣhonse vibhavādikakī
prāptike liye pravr̥utti karane se yathārtha mat se bhraṣhṭa ho jātā hai. dharmātmā puruṣhon men karma ke uday
se kuchh doṣh utpanna haā dekhakar unakī avagnā karanā so anupagūhan doṣh hai, isake hone
par dharmase chhūṭ jānā hotā hai. dharmātmā puruṣhoṅko karmake udayake vash se dharmase chigate dekhakar
unakī sthiratā na karanā so asthitikaraṇ doṣh hai, isake hone par gnāt hotā hai ki isako
dharmase anurāg nahīn hai aur anurāgakā na honā samyaktva men doṣh hai.

dharmātmā puruṣhonse visheṣh prītī na karanā avātsalya doṣh hai, isake hone par samyaktvakā abhāv pragaṭ sūchit hotā hai. dharmakā mahātmya shakti ke anusār pragaṭ na karanā aprabhāvanā doṣh hai, isake hone par gnāt hotā hai ki isake dharmake mahātmyakī shraddhā pragaṭ nahīn huī hai.––– isaprakār yah āṭh doṣh samyaktvake mithyātvake uday se (udayake vash men hone se) hote hain, jahān̐ ye tīvra hon vahān̐ to mithyātva prakr̥iti kā uday batāte hain, samyaktvakā abhāv batāte hain aur jahān̐ kuchh mand atichārarūp hon to samyaktva –prakr̥iti nāmak mithyātvakī prakr̥iti ke uday se hon ve atichār kahalāte hain, vahān̐ kṣhayopashamik samyaktvakā sadbhāv hotā hai; paramārthase vichār karen to atichār tyāgane hī yogya haĩn.

in doṣhoṅke hone par anya bhī mal pragaṭ hote hain, ve tīn mūrḥatāen̐ hain–––– 1 devamūrḥatā, 2 pākhaṇḍamūrḥatā, 3 lokamūrḥatā. kisī var kī ichchhā se sarāgī devon kī upāsanā karanā unakī pāṣhāṇādi men sthāpanā karake pūjanā devamūrḥatā hai. rḥoṅgī guruommen mūrḥatā–parigrah, ārambh, hinsādi sahit pākhaṇḍī (rḥoṅgī) bheṣhadhāriyoṅkā satkār, puraskār karanā pākhaṇḍī– mūrḥatā hai. lokamūrḥatā anya matavāloṅke upadeshase tathā svayam hī binā vichāre kuchh pravr̥utti karane lag jāy vah lokamūrḥatā hai, jaise sūrya ke argha denā, grahaṇ men snān karanā, saṅkrānti men dān karanā, agnikā satkār karanā, dehalī, ghar, kuā pūjanā, gāyakī pūñchhako namaskār karanā, gāyake mūtrako pīnā, ratna, ghoḍā ādi vāhan, pr̥ithvī, vr̥ukṣha, shastra, parvat ādikakī sevā–pūjā karanā, nadī–samudrako tīrtha mānakar unamen snān karanā, parvatase giranā, agni men pravesh karanā ityādi jānanā. chhah anāyatan hain–––kudev, kuguru, kushāstra aur inake bhakta––aise chhah hain, inako dharma sthān jānakar inakī manase prashansā karanā, vachan se sarāhanā karanā, kāy se vandanā karanā. ye dharmake sthān nahīn hain isaliye inako anāyatan kahate haĩn. jāti, lābh, kul, rūp, tap, bal, vidyā, aishvarya inakā garva karanā āṭh mad haĩn. jāti mātā pakṣha hai, lābh dhanādik karmake uday ke āshray hai, kul pitā pakṣha hai, rūp karmodayāshrit hai, tap apane svarūpako sādhane kā sādhan hai, bal karmodayāshrit hai, vidyā karmake kṣhayopashamāshrit hai, aishvarya karmodayāshrit hai, inakā garva kyā? paradravyake nimittase hone vāle kā garva karanā samyaktvakā abhāv batātā hai athavā malinatā karatā hai. isaprakār ye pachchīs, samyaktvake mal doṣh hain, inakā tyāg karane par samyaktva shuddha hotā hai, vahī samyaktvācharaṇ chāritra kā aṅg hai..6..

arthaḥ––niḥshaṅkit, niḥkāṅkṣhit, nirvichikitsā, amūḍhadr̥uṣhṭi, upagūhan, sthitikaraṇ,
vātsalya aur prabhāvanā ye āṭh aṅg haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––ye āṭh aṅg pahile kahe hue shaṅkādi doṣhoṅke abhāv se pragaṭ hote hain, inake
udāharaṇ purāṇommen hain unakī kathā se jānanā. niḥshaṅkitakā añjan chor kā udāharaṇ hai,
jisane jinavachan men shaṅkā na kī, nirbhay ho chhīke kī laṛ kāṭ kar ke mantra siddha kiyā. niḥ
kāṅkṣhitakā sītā, anantamatī, sutārā ādikā udāharaṇ hai, jinhonne bhogon ke liye dharma ko nahīn
chhoṛā. nirvichikitsākā uddāyan rājākā udāharaṇ hai, jisane munikā sharīr apavitra dekhakar
bhī glāni nahīn kī. amūrḥadr̥uṣhṭikā revatī rānī kā udāharaṇ hai, jisako vidyādhar ne anek
mahimā dikhāī to bhī shraddhānase shithil nahīn huī.

upagūhanakā jinendrabhakta seṭhakā udāharaṇ hai, jis chorane brahmachārī kā bheṣh banā karake
chhatra kī chorī kī, usako usako brahmachārī pad kī nindā hotī jānakar usake doṣh ko
chhipāyā. sthitikaraṇ kā vāriṣheṇ kā udāharaṇ hai, jisane puṣhpadant brāhmaṇako munipad se
shithil huā jānakar dr̥urḥ kiyā. vātsalyakā viṣhṇukumārakā udāharaṇ hai, jinane akampan ādi
muniyoṅkā upasagar nivāraṇ kiyā. prabhāvanā men vajrakumār munikā udāharaṇ hai, jisane
vidyādhar se sahāyatā pākar dharmakī prabhāvanā kī. aise āṭh aṅg pragaṭ hone par samyaktvācharaṇ
chāritra hotā hai, jaise sharīr men hāth, pair hote hain vaise hī samyaktva ke aṅg haĩn. ye na hon to
vikalāṅg hotā hai..7..

āge kahate hain ki isaprakār pahalā samyaktvācharaṇ chāritra hotā haiḥ–––

tachchaiv guṇavishuddhan jinasamyaktvan sumokṣhasthānāya. tat charati gnānayuktan prathaman samyaktva charaṇachāritram.. 8..

arthaḥ––vah jinasamyaktva arthāt arahant jinadev kī shraddhā niḥshaṅkit ādi guṇonse vishuddha ho usakā yathārtha gnānake sāth ācharaṇ kare vah pratham samyaktvacharaṇ chāritra hai, vah mokṣhasthān ke liye hotā hai. bhāvārthaḥ––sarvagnabhāṣhit tattvārthakī shraddhā niḥshaṅkit ādi guṇ sahit, pachchīs mal doṣh rahit, gnānavān ācharaṇ kare usako samyaktvacharaṇ chāritra kahate haĩn. yah mokṣha kī prapti ke liye hotā hai kyoṅki mokṣhamārga men pahile samyagdarshan kahā hai isaliye mokṣhamārga men pradhān yah hī hai..8.. āge kahate hain ki jo isaprakār samyaktvacharaṇ charitra ko aṅgīkār kare to shīghra hī nirvāṇ ko prāpta karatā haiḥ––

sammatacharaṇasuddhā sañjam charaṇassa jai va supasiddhā.
ṇāṇī amūḍhadiṭṭhī achire pāvanti ṇivvāṇan .. 9..
samyaktvacharaṇavishuddhāḥ sanyamacharaṇasya yadi vā suprasiddhāḥ.
gnāninaḥ amūḍhadraṣhṭayaḥ achiran prāpnuvanti nirvāṇam .. 9..

arthaḥ––jo gnānī hote hue amūrḥadr̥uṣhṭi hokar samyaktvacharaṇ chāritrase shuddha hotā hai aur
jo sanyamacharaṇ chāritra se samyak prakār shuddha ho to shīghra hī nirvāṇ ko prāpta hotā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––jo padārthoṅke yathārtha gnān se mūrḥadr̥uṣhṭi rahit vishuddha samyagdr̥uṣhṭi hokar samyakchāritra svarūp sanyam kā āchāraṇ kare to shīghra hī mokṣha ko pāve, sanyam aṅgīkār karane par svarūpake sādhanarūp ekāgra dharmadhyān ke balase sātishay apramatta ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

te aṣhṭaguṇasuvishuddha jinasamyaktvane–shivahetun,
ācharavun gnān samet, te samyaktvacharaṇ charitra chhe. 8.

samyaktvacharaṇavishuddhane niṣhpannasanyamacharaṇ jo,
nirvāṇane achire vare avimūḍh dr̥uṣhṭi gnānīo. 9.

76] [aṣhṭapāhuḍ guṇasthānarūp ho shreṇī charḥ antarmuhūrtamen kevalagnān utpanna kar aghātikarmakā nāsh karake mokṣha prāpta karatā hai, yah samyaktvacharaṇ chāritrakā hī māhātmya hai..9.. āge kahate hain ki jo samyaktva ke ācharaṇ se bhraṣhṭa hain aur ve sanyamakā ācharaṇ karate hain to bhī mokṣha nahīn pāte hainḥ–––

sammattacharaṇabhaṭṭhā sañjamacharaṇan charanti je vi ṇarā.
aṇṇāṇaṇāṇamūḍhā tah vi ṇa pāvanti ṇivvāṇan.. 10..

samyaktvacharaṇabhraṣhṭāḥ sanyamacharaṇan charanti ye‘pi narāḥ. agnānagnānamūḍhāḥtathā‘pi na prāpnuvanti nirvāṇam.. 10..

arthaḥ––jo puruṣh samyaktvacharaṇ chāritrase bhraṣhṭa hai aur sanyamakā ācharaṇ karate hain to bhī ve agnān se mūrḥadr̥uṣhṭi hote hue nirvāṇ ko nahīn pāte haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––samyaktvacharaṇ chāritrake binā sanyamacharaṇ chāritra nirvāṇakā kāraṇ nahīn hai kyoṅki samyaggnānake binā to gnān mithyā kahalātā hai, so isaprakār samyaktvake binā chāritra ke bhī mithyāpanā ātā hai..10..

āge prashna utpanna hotā hai ki isaprakār samyaktvacharaṇ chāritra ke chinha kyā hain jinase usako jānen, isake uttararūp gāthāmen samyaktva ke chinha kahate hainḥ–––

vichchhallan viṇaeṇ ya aṇakampāe sudāṇ dachchhāe.
maggaguṇasansaṇāe avagūhaṇ rakkhaṇāe ya.. 11..
e e hin lakkhaṇenhin ya lakkhijjai ajjavehin bhāvehĩn.
jīvo ārāhanto jiṇasammattan amoheṇa.. 12..

samyaktvacharaṇavihīn chho sanyamacharaṇ jan āchare,
topaṇ lahe nahi muktine agnānagnānavimūḍh e. 10.
