[na shraddadhati ] jo shraddhā nahīn karate [te abhavyāḥ ] ve abhavya hain; [bhavyāḥ vā ] aur bhavya [tat ]

. ye punarvītarāgasamyagdr̥uṣhṭayaḥ shuddhopayoginasteṣhān, matsyānān sthalagamanamivā-
gnipravesh iv vā, nirvikārashuddhātmasukhāchchyavanamapi duḥkhan pratibhāti . tathā choktam
1. sukhakā kāraṇ svabhāv pratighātakā abhāv hai .
2. sukhakā lakṣhaṇ anākulatā hai .
ṭīkā :is lokamen mohanīyaādikarmajālavāloṅke svabhāvapratighātake kāraṇ aur
ākulatāke kāraṇ sukhābhās hone par bhī us sukhābhāsako ‘sukh’ kahanekī
apāramārthik rūrḥi hai; aur jinake ghātikarma naṣhṭa ho chuke hain aise kevalībhagavānake,
svabhāvapratighātake abhāvake kāraṇ aur ākulatāke kāraṇ sukhake yathokta

2lakṣhaṇakā sadbhāv honese pāramārthik sukh haiaisī shraddhā karane yogya hai . jinhen aisī
shraddhā nahīn hai vemokṣhasukhake sudhāpānase dūr rahanevāle abhavyamr̥ugatr̥uṣhṇāke jalasamūhako hī
dekhate (-anubhav karate) hain; aur jo us vachanako isīsamay svīkār(-shraddhā) karate hain ve
shivashrīke (-mokṣhalakṣhmīke) bhājanāsannabhavya hain, aur jo āge jākar svīkār kareṅge ve
dūrabhavya hain .
bhāvārtha :‘kevalībhagavānake hī pāramārthik sukh hai’ aisā vachan sunakar jo kabhī
isakā svīkārādarshraddhā nahīn karate ve kabhī mokṣha prāpta nahīn karate; jo uparokta vachan
sunakar antaraṅgase usakī shraddhā karate hain ve hī mokṣhako prāpta karate hain . jo vartamānamen shraddhā karate
hain ve āsannabhavya hain aur jo bhaviṣhyamen shraddhā kareṅge ve dūrabhavya hain ..62..

jāye to jaisejisakā shītajvar upashānt ho gayā hai, vah pasīnā āneke liye upachār
karatā tathā jisakā dāhajvar utar gayā hai vah kān̐jīse sharīrake tāpako utāratā tathā jisakī
ān̐khoṅkā duḥkh dūr ho gayā hai vah vaṭāchūrṇa (-shaṅkh ityādikā chūrṇa) ān̐jatā tathā jisakā
karṇashūl naṣhṭa ho gayā ho vah kānamen phi ra bakarekā mūtra ḍālatā dikhāī nahīn detā aur
jisakā ghāv bhar jātā hai vah phi ra lep karatā dikhāī nahīn detā
isīprakār unake viṣhay
vyāpār dekhanemen nahīn ānā chāhiye; kintu unake vah (viṣhayapravr̥utti) to dekhī jātī hai .

punarachetanatvātsukhan na bhavatīti . ayamatrārthaḥkarmāvr̥utasansārijīvānān yadindriyasukhan tatrāpi jīv
upādānakāraṇan, na cha dehaḥ . dehakarmarahitamuktātmanān punaryadanantātīndriyasukhan tatra visheṣheṇātmaiv
kāraṇamiti ..65.. ath manuṣhyasharīran mā bhavatu, devasharīran divyan tatkil sukhakāraṇan bhaviṣhyatītyāshaṅkān
nirākarotieganteṇ hi deho suhan ṇa dehissa kuṇadi ekānten hi sphu ṭan dehaḥ kartā sukhan na karoti .
kasya . dehinaḥ sansārijīvasya . kva . sagge vā āstān tāvanmanuṣhyāṇān manuṣhyadehaḥ sukhan na karoti, svarge
anvayārtha :[ekānten hi ] ekāntase arthāt niyamase [svarge vā ] svargamen bhī
[dehaḥ ] sharīr [dehinaḥ ] sharīrī (-ātmāko) [sukhan na karoti ] sukh nahīn detā [viṣhayavashen

parantu viṣhayoṅke vashase [saukhyan duḥkhan vā ] sukh athavā duḥkharūp [svayam ātmā bhavati ]

ṭīkā :yahān̐ yah siddhānt hai kibhale hī divya vaikriyik tā prāpta ho tathāpi
‘sharīr sukh nahīn de sakatā’; isaliye, ātmā svayam hī iṣhṭa athavā aniṣhṭa viṣhayoṅke vashase sukh
athavā duḥkharūp svayam hī hotā hai

bhāvārtha :sharīr sukh -duḥkh nahīn detā . devoṅkā uttam vaikriyik sharīr sukhakā
kāraṇ nahīn hai aur nārakiyoṅkā sharīr duḥkhakā kāraṇ nahīn hai . ātmā svayam hī iṣhṭa -aniṣhṭa
viṣhayoṅke vash hokar sukh -duḥkhakī kalpanārūpamen pariṇamit hotā hai ..66..
ab, ātmā svayam hī sukhapariṇāmakī shaktivālā honese viṣhayoṅkī akiñchitkaratā
batalāte hain :
jo dr̥uṣhṭi prāṇīnī timirahar, to kārya chhe nahi dīpathī;
jyān jīv svayam sukh pariṇame, viṣhayo kare chhe shun tahīn ?

ṭīkā :jaise kinhīn nishācharoṅke (ullū, sarpa, bhūt ityādi) netra svayamev
andhakārako naṣhṭa karanekī shaktivāle hote hain isaliye unhen andhakār nāshak svabhāvavāle
dīpak -prakāshādise koī prayojan nahīn hotā, (unhen dīpak -prakāsh kuchh nahīn karatā,)
isīprakār
yadyapi agnānī ‘viṣhay sukhake sādhan hain’ aisī buddhike dvārā vyartha hī viṣhayoṅkā
adhyās (-āshray) karate hain tathāpisansāramen yā muktimen svayamev sukharūp pariṇamit is
ātmāko viṣhay kyā kar sakate hain ?
bhāvārtha :sansāramen yā mokṣhamen ātmā apane āp hī sukharūp pariṇamit hotā hai;
usamen viṣhay akiñchitkar hain arthāt kuchh nahīn kar sakate . agnānī viṣhayoṅko sukhakā kāraṇ
mānakar vyartha hī unakā avalamban lete hain ..67..

2shilāstambhamen jisakī atishay 3dyuti stuti utkīrṇa hai aisā
divya ātmasvarūpavān honese dev hai . isaliye is ātmāko sukhasādhanābhās (-jo sukhake
sādhan nahīn hain parantu sukhake sādhan honekā ābhāsamātra jinamen hotā hai aise) viṣhayonse

bhāvārtha :siddha bhagavān kisī bāhya kāraṇakī apekṣhāke binā apane āp hī

bhagavānakī bhān̐ti hī sarva jīvoṅkā svabhāv hai; isaliye sukhārthī jīvoṅko viṣhayālambī bhāv

tiryagmanuṣhyadevarūpo bhūtvā
tāvadi kālan tāvatkālan svakīyāyuḥparyantan lahadi suhan indiyan vivihan indriyajan
vividhan sukhan labhate, iti sūtrābhiprāyaḥ ..70.. ath pūrvoktamindriyasukhan nishchayanayen duḥkhamevetyup-
dishati ---sokkhan sahāvasiddhan rāgādyupādhirahitan chidānandaikasvabhāvenopādānakāraṇabhūten siddhamutpannan
yatsvābhāvikasukhan tatsvabhāvasiddhan bhaṇyate . tachcha ṇatthi surāṇan pi āstān manuṣhyādīnān sukhan
devendrādīnāmapi nāsti siddhamuvadese iti siddhamupadiṣhṭamupadeshe paramāgame . te dehavedaṇaṭṭā ramanti visaesu rammesu
tathābhūtasukhābhāvātte devādayo dehavedanārtāḥ pīḍitāḥ kadarthitāḥ santo ramante viṣhayeṣhu ramyābhāseṣhviti .
ath vistaraḥ ---adhobhāge saptanarakasthānīyamahā‘jagaraprasāritamukhe, koṇachatuṣhke tu krodhamānamāyā-
bhūmikāommense kisī ek bhūmikāko prāpta karake jitane samay tak (usamen) rahatā hai, utane
samay tak anek prakārakā indriyasukh prāpta karatā hai

isaprakār indriyasukhakī bāt uṭhākar ab indriyasukhako duḥkhapanemen ḍālate hain :
anvayārtha :[upadeshe siddhan ] (jinendradevake) upadeshase siddha hai ki [surāṇām
api ] devoṅke bhī [svabhāvasiddhan ] svabhāvasiddha [saukhyan ] sukh [nāsti ] nahīn hai; [te ] ve
[dehavedanārtā ] (pañchendriyamay) dehakī vedanāse pīṛit honese [ramyesu viṣhayesu ] ramya viṣhayommen
[ramante ] ramate hain

lobhasthānīyasarpachatuṣhkaprasāritavadane dehasthānīyamahāndhakūpe patitaḥ san kashchit puruṣhavisheṣhaḥ, sansār-
sthānīyamahāraṇye mithyātvādikumārge naṣhṭaḥ san mr̥utyusthānīyahastibhayenāyuṣhkarmasthānīye sāṭikavisheṣhe

shuklakr̥iṣhṇapakṣhasthānīyashuklakr̥iṣhṇamūṣhakadvayachhedyamānamūle vyādhisthānīyamadhumakṣhikāveṣhṭite lagnastenaiv
1. bhr̥uguprapāt = atyant duḥkhase ghabarākar ātmaghāt karaneke liye parvatake nirādhār uchcha shikharase giranā .

isaprakār yuktipūrvak indriyasukhako duḥkharūp pragaṭ karake, ab indriyasukhake
sādhanabhūt puṇyako utpanna karanevāle shubhopayogakī, duḥkhake sādhanabhūt pāpako utpanna karanevāle
ashubhopayogase avisheṣhatā pragaṭ karate hain :
anvayārtha :[naranārakatiryaksurāḥ ] manuṣhya, nārakī, tiryañch aur dev (sabhī)
[yadi ] yadi [dehasambhavan ] dehotpanna [duḥkhan ] duḥkhako [bhajanti ] anubhav karate hain, [jīvānān ]
to jīvoṅkā [saḥ upayogaḥ ] vah (shuddhopayogase vilakṣhaṇ -ashuddha) upayog [shubhaḥ vā

pañchendriyātmakasharīrotpannan nishchayanayen duḥkhamev bhajante sevante,
kih so suho va asuho uvaogo havadi
ṭīkā :yadi shubhopayogajanya udayagat puṇyakī sampattivāle devādik (arthāt
shubhopayogajanya puṇyake udayase prāpta honevālī r̥uddhivāle dev ityādi) aur ashubhopayogajanya
udayagat pāpakī āpadāvāle nārakādik
yah donon svābhāvik sukhake abhāvake kāraṇ
avisheṣharūpase (-binā antarake) pañchendriyātmak sharīr sambandhī duḥkhakā hī anubhav karate hain,
tab phi ra paramārthase shubh aur ashubh upayogakī pr̥uthaktvavyavasthā nahīn rahatī

bhāvārtha :shubhopayogajanya puṇyake phalarūpamen devādikakī sampadāyen milatī hain aur
ashubhopayogajanya pāpake phalarūpamen nārakādik kī āpadāyen milatī hain . kintu ve devādik
tathā nārakādik donon paramārthase duḥkhī hī hain . isaprakār donoṅkā phal samān honese shubhopayog
aur ashubhopayog donon paramārthase samān hī hain arthāt upayogamenashuddhopayogamenshubh aur
ashubh nāmak bhed paramārthase ghaṭit nahīn hote ..72..
(jaise indriyasukhako duḥkharūp aur shubhopayogako ashubhopayogake samān batāyā hai
isīprakār) ab, shubhopayogajanya phalavālā jo puṇya hai use visheṣhataḥ dūṣhaṇ deneke liye
(arthāt usamen doṣh dikhāneke liye) us puṇyako (-usake astitvako) svīkār karake
usakī (puṇyakī) bātakā khaṇḍan karate hain :
chakrī ane devendra shubh -upayogamūlak bhogathī
puṣhṭi kare dehādinī, sukhī sam dīse abhirat rahī

kathambhūtāḥ santaḥ . suhidā ivābhiradā sukhitā ivābhiratā āsaktā iti . ayamatrārthaḥyatparamātishay-
tr̥uptisamutpādakan viṣhayatr̥uṣhṇāvichchhittikārakan cha svābhāvikasukhan tadalabhamānā duṣhṭashoṇite jalayūkā
ivāsaktāḥ sukhābhāsen dehādīnān vr̥uddhin kurvanti
. tato gnāyate teṣhān svābhāvikan sukhan nāstīti ..73..
ath puṇyāni jīvasya viṣhayatr̥uṣhṇāmutpādayantīti pratipādayatijadi santi hi puṇṇāṇi ya yadi
anvayārtha :[kulishāyudhachakradharāḥ ] vajradhar aur chakradhar (-indra aur
chakravartī) [shubhopayogātmakaiḥ bhogaiḥ ] shubhopayogamūlak (puṇyoṅke phalarūp) bhogoṅke dvārā
[dehādīnān ] dehādikī [vr̥uddhin kurvanti ] puṣhṭi karate hain aur [abhiratāḥ ] (isaprakār) bhogommen
rat vartate hue [sukhitāḥ iv ] sukhī jaise bhāsit hote hain

hotī hai, usīprakārun bhogommen atyanta āsakta vartate hue sukhī jaise bhāsit hote hain; isaliye
shubhopayogajanya phalavāle puṇya dikhāī dete hain (arthāt shubhopayogajanya phalavāle puṇyoṅkā

pariṇāmasamubbhavāṇi nirvikārasvasamvittivilakṣhaṇashubhapariṇāmasamudbhavāni vivihāṇi svakīyānantabheden
bahuvidhāni . tadā tāni kin kurvanti . jaṇayanti visayataṇhan janayanti . kām . viṣhayatr̥uṣhṇām . keṣhām .
ab, isaprakār svīkār kiye gaye puṇya duḥkhake bījake kāraṇ hain, (arthāt tr̥uṣhṇāke
kāraṇ hain ) isaprakār nyāyase pragaṭ karate hain :
anvayārtha :[yadi hi ] (pūrvokta prakārase) yadi [pariṇāmasamudbhavānī ]
(shubhopayogarūp) pariṇāmase utpanna honevāle [vividhāni puṇyāni cha ] vividh puṇya [santi ]
vidyamān hain, [devatāntānān jīvānān ] to ve devon takake jīvoṅko [viṣhayatr̥uṣhṇān ] viṣhayatr̥uṣhṇā
[janayanti ] utpanna karate hain

ṭīkā :yadi isaprakār shubhopayogapariṇāmase utpanna honevāle anek prakārake puṇya
vidyamān hain aisā svīkār kiyā hai, to ve (-puṇya) devon takake samasta sansāriyoṅko
viṣhayatr̥uṣhṇā avashyamev utpanna karate hain (aisā bhī svīkār karanā paṛatā hai) vāstavamen tr̥uṣhṇāke
binā; jaise joṅk (goñch)ko dūṣhit raktamen usīprakār samasta sansāriyoṅko viṣhayommen pravr̥utti
dikhāī na de; kintu vah to dikhāī detī hai
. isaliye puṇyoṅkī tr̥uṣhṇāyatanatā abādhit hī hai
(arthāt puṇya tr̥uṣhṇāke ghar hain, aisā avirodharūpase siddha hotā hai) .
pariṇāmajanya anekavidh jo puṇyanun astitva chhe,

ath puṇyāni duḥkhakāraṇānīti pūrvoktamevārthan visheṣheṇ samarthayatite puṇ udiṇṇataṇhā sahajashuddhātma-
tr̥upterabhāvātte nikhilasansārijīvāḥ punarudīrṇatr̥uṣhṇāḥ santaḥ duhidā taṇhāhin svasamvittisamutpannapāramārthik-
sukhābhāvātpūrvoktatr̥uṣhṇābhirduḥkhitāḥ santaḥ . kin kurvanti . visayasokkhāṇi ichchhanti nirviṣhayaparamātma-
bhāvārtha :jaisā ki 73 vīn gāthāmen kahā gayā hai usaprakār anek tarahake puṇya
vidyamān hain, so bhale rahen . ve sukhake sādhan nahīn kintu duḥkhake bījarūp tr̥uṣhṇāke hī sādhan
hain ..74..
ab, puṇyamen duḥkhake bījakī vijay ghoṣhit karate hain . (arthāt puṇyamen tr̥uṣhṇābīj
duḥkhavr̥ukṣharūpase vr̥uddhiko prāpta hotā haiphai latā hai aisā ghoṣhit karate hain) :
anvayārtha :[punaḥ ] aur, [udīrṇatr̥uṣhṇāḥ te ] jinakī tr̥uṣhṇā udit hai aise ve jīv
[tr̥uṣhṇābhiḥ duḥkhitāḥ ] tr̥uṣhṇāoṅke dvārā duḥkhī hote hue, [āmaraṇan ] maraṇaparyant [viṣhay
saukhyāni ichchhanti ]
viṣhayasukhoṅko chāhate hain [cha ] aur [duḥkhasantaptāḥ ] duḥkhonse santapta hote
hue (-duḥkhadāhako sahan na karate hue) [anubhavanti ] unhen bhogate hain
