aisA pATh hai. isakA artha yah hai ki
vahA.N chaityo.nkI va.ndanA karate hai.n. aur chaitya nAm
pratimAkA prasiddha hai. tathA ve haThase kahate hai.nchaitya shabdake j~nAnAdik anek artha hote
hai.n, isaliye anya artha hai, pratimAkA artha nahI.n hai. isase pUChate hai.nmerugiri nandIshvar dvIpame.n
jA-jAkar vahA.N chaitya vandanA kI, so vahA.N j~nAnAdikakI vandanA karanekA artha kaise sambhav hai?
j~nAnAdikakI vandanA to sarvatra sambhav hai. jo vandanAyogya chaitya vahA.N sambhav ho aur sarvatra
sambhav na ho vahA.N use vandanA karanekA visheSh sambhav hai aur aisA sambhavit artha pratimA
hI hai; aur chaitya shabdakA mukhya artha pratimA hI hai, so prasiddha hai. isI artha dvArA chaityAlay
nAm sambhav hai; use haTh karake kisaliye lupta kare.n?
tathA nandIshvar dvIpAdikame.n jAkar devAdik pUjanAdi kriyA karate hai.n, usakA vyAkhyAn
unake jahA.N-tahA.N pAyA jAtA hai. tathA lokame.n jahA.N-tahA.N akR^itrim pratimAkA nirUpaN hai.
so vah rachanA anAdi hai, vah rachanA bhog
kutUhalAdike artha to hai nahI.n. aur indrAdiko.nke
sthAno.nme.n niShprayojan rachanA sambhav nahI.n hai. isaliye indrAdik use dekhakar kyA karate hai.n?
yA to apane mandiro.nme.n niShprayojan rachanA dekhakar usase udAsIn hote ho.nge, vahA.N duHkhI hote
ho.nge, parantu yah sambhav nahI.n hai. yA achChI rachanA dekhakar viShayo.nkA poShaN karate ho.nge,
parantu arahantakI mUrti dvArA samyagdR^iShTi apanA viShay poShaN kare.n yah bhI sambhav nahI.n hai.
isaliye vahA.N unakI bhakti Adi hI karate hai.n, yahI sambhav hai.
unake sUryAbhadevakA vyAkhyAn hai; vahA.N pratimAjIko pUjanekA visheSh varNan kiyA hai.
use gopaneke artha kahate hai.ndevo.nkA aisA hI kartavya hai. so sach hai, parantu kartavyakA to
phal hotA hai; vahA.N dharma hotA hai yA pAp hotA hai? yadi dharma hotA hai to anyatra pAp hotA
thA yahA.N dharma huA; ise auro.nke sadR^ish kaise kahe.n? yah to yogya kArya huA. aur pAp hotA
hai to vahA.N ‘‘NamotthuNa.n’’ kA pATh pa.DhA; so pApake ThikAne aisA pATh kisaliye pa.DhA?
tathA ek vichAr yahA.N yah AyA ki‘‘NamotthuNa.n’’ ke pAThame.n to arahantakI bhakti
hai; so pratimAjIke Age jAkar yah pATh pa.DhA, isaliye pratimAjIke Age jo araha.ntabhaktikI
kriyA hai vah karanA yukta huI.
