sukhadukhe hi tAvajjIvAnAn svakarmodayenaiv, tadabhAve tayorbhavitumashakyatvAt; svakarma cha nAnye- nAnyasya dAtun shakyan, tasya svapariNAmenaivopArjyamANatvAt; tato na kathanchanApi anyonyasya sukh- dukhe kuryAt . ata sukhitadukhitAn karomi, sukhitadukhita kriye chetyadhyavasAyo dhruvamagnAnam .

to (he bhAI !) [tai ] unhonne [dukhita ] tujhako dukhI [kathan kRuta asi ] kaise kiyA ?
[yadi ] yadi [sarve jIvA ] sabhI jIv [karmodayen ] ka rmake udayase [dukhitasukhitA ] dukhI-sukhI [bhavanti ] hote hain, [cha ] aur ve [tav ] tujhe [karma ] ka rma to [na dadati ] nahIn dete, to (he bhAI !) [tai ] unhonne [tvan ] tujhako [sukhita ] sukhI [kathan kRuta ] kaise kiyA ?
TIkA : — pratham to, jIvonko sukh-dukh vAstavamen apane karmodayase hI hotA hai, kyonki apane karmodayake abhAvamen sukh-dukh honA ashakya hai; aur apanA karma dUsare dvArA dUsareko nahIn diyA jA sakatA, kyonki vah (apanA karma) apane pariNAmase hI upArjit hotA hai; isaliye kisI bhI prakArase dUsarA dUsareko sukh-dukh nahIn kar sakatA . isaliye yah adhyavasAy dhruvarUpase agnAn hai ki ‘main par jIvonko sukhI-dukhI karatA hUn aur par jIv mujhe sukhI-dukhI karate hain’ .
bhAvArtha : — jIvakA jaisA Ashay ho tadanusAr jagatamen kArya na hote hon to vah Ashay agnAn hai . isaliye, sabhI jIv apane apane karmodayase sukhI-dukhI hote hain, vahAn yah mAnanA ki ‘main parako sukhI-dukhI karatA hUn aur par mujhe sukhI-dukhI karatA hai’, so agnAn hai . nimitta -naimittikabhAvake Ashrayase (kisIko kisIke) sukh-dukhakA karanevAlA kahanA so vyavahAr hai; jo ki nishchayakI dRuShTimen gauN hai ..254 se 256..

shlokArtha : — [ih ] is jagatamen [maraN-jIvit-dukh-saukhyam ] jIvonke maraN, jIvit, dukh, sukh — [sarvan sadaiv niyatan svakIy-karmodayAt bhavati ] sab sadaiv niyamase ( – nishchitarUpase) apane ka rmodayase hotA hai; [para pumAn parasya maraN-jIvit-dukh-saukhyam kuryAt ] ‘dUsarA puruSh dUsareke maraN, jIvan, dukh, sukhako karatA hai’ [yat tu ] aisA jo mAnanA, [etat agnAnam ] vah to agnAn hai .168.
