artha––jinavar jo sarvagna dev hain unhonne shiShya jo gaNadhar Adikako dharmakA upadesh diyA hai; kaisA upadesh diyA hai?–––ki darshan jisakA mUl hai. mUl kahAn hotA hai ki–jaise mandir ke nImv aur vRukSha ke jaD hotI hai usI prakAr dharmakA mUl darshan hai. isaliye AchArya upadesh dete hain ki–– he sakarNa arthAt satpuruShon! sarvagna ke kahe hue us darshanamUlarUp dharma ko apane kAnonse sunakar jo darshanase rahit hain ve vandan yogya nahIn hain;isaliye darshan hIn kI vandanAmat karo. jisake darshan nahIn hai usake dharma bhI nahIn hai; kyonki mUl rahit vRukShake skandh, shAkhA, puShpa, phalAdik kahAn se honge? isaliye yah upadesh hai ki– jisake dharma nahIn hai usase dharmakI prApti nahIn ho sakatI, phir dharmake nimitta usakI vandanA kisaliye karen?–aisA jAnanA.
ab yahAn dharmakA tathA darshan kA svarUp jAnanA chAhiye. vah svarUp to sankShepamen granthakAr hI Age kahenge, tathApi kuchh anya granthonke anusAr yahAn bhI de rahen hain–‘dharma’ shabda kA artha yah hai ki––jo AtmAko sansAr se ubAr kar sukh sthAn men sthApit kare so dharma hai. aur darshan arthAt dekhanA. isaprakAr dharma kI mUrti dikhAyI de vah darshan hai tathA prasiddhi men jisamen dharmakA grahaN ho aise mat ko ‘darshan’ kahA hai. lok men dharmakI tathA darshanakI mAnyatA sAmAnyarUp se to sabake hai, parantu sarvagna ke binA yathArtha svarUpakA jAnanA nahIn ho sakatA; parantu chhadmastha prANI apanI buddhi se anek svarUpon kI kalpanA karake anyathA svarUp sthApit karake unakI pravRutti karate hain. aur jinamat savargna kI paramparA se pravartamAn hai isaliye isamen yathArtha svarUpakA prarUpaN hai.
vahAn dharmako nishchay aur vyavahAr––aise do prakAr se sAdhA hai. usakI prarUpaNA chAr prakAr se hai––pratham vastusvabhAv, dUsare uttam kShamAdi das prakAr, tIsare samyagdarshan–gnAn– chAritrarUp aur chauthe jIvon kI rakShArUp aise chAr prakAr hain. vahAn nishchay se siddha kiyA jAye tab to sabamen ek hI prakAr hai, isaliye vastusvabhAv kA tAtparya to jIv nAmak vastukI paramArtharUp darshan–gnAn–pariNAmamayI chetanA hai, aur vah chetanA sarva vikAronse rahit shuddha– svabhAvarUp pariNamit ho vahI jIv kA dharma hai. tathA uttamakShamAdi das prakAr kahane kA tAtparya yah hai ki AtmA krodhAdi kaShAyarUp na hokar apane svabhAv men sthir ho vahI dharma hai, yah bhI shuddha chetanA rUp huA.
darshan–gnAn–chAritra kahane kA tAtparya yah hai ki tInon ek gnAn chetanA ke hI pariNAm hain, vahI gnAn svabhAv rUp dharma hai. aur jIvon kI rakShAkA tAtparya yah hai ki– jIv krodhAdi kaShAyonke vash hokar apanI yA par kI paryAy ke vinAsharUp maraN tathA dukh, sanklesh pariNAm na kare–aisA apanA svabhAv hI dharma hai. isaprakAr shuddha dravyArthikarUp nishchay se sAdhA huA dharma ek hI prakAr hai.

vyavahAranay paryAyAshrit hai isaliye bhedarUp hai, vyavahAranayase vichAr karen to jIvake paryAyarUp pariNAm anek prakAr hain, isaliye dharmakA bhI anek prakAr se varNan kiyA hai. vahAn (1)–prayojanavash ekadesh kA sarvadeshase kathan kiyA jAye so vyavahAr hai, (2)–anya vastumen anyakA AropaN anyake nimitta se aur prayojanavash kiyA jAye vah bhI vyavahAr hai, vahAn vastusvAbhAv kahane par tAtparya to nirvikAr chetanAke shuddhapariNAmake sAdhak rUp (3)–mand kaShAyarUp shubh pariNAm hain tathA jo bAhyakriyAen hain un sabhI ko vyavahAr dharma kahA jAtA hai. usIprakAr ratnatrayakA tAtparya svarUpake bhed darshan–gnAn–chAritra tathA usake kAraN bAhya kriyAdik hain, un sabhI ko vyavahAr dharma kahA jAtA hai. usIprakAr –(4) jIvonkI dayA kahanekA tAtparya yah hai ki krodhAdi mandakaShAy honese apane yA par ke maraN, dukh, klesh Adi kA na karanA; 1usake sAdhak samasta bAhyakriyAdi ko dharma kahA jAtA hai. is prakAr jinamat men nishchay–vyavahAranayase sAdhA huA dharma kahA hai. vahAn ek svarUp anek svarUp kahane men syAdvAd se virodh nahIn AtA, kathanchit vivakShA se sarva pramAN siddha hai. aise dharma kA mUl darshan kahA hai, isaliye aise dharmakI shraddhA, pratIti, ruchi sahit AcharaN karanA hI darshan hai, yah dharma kI mUrti hai, isI ko mat (darshan) kahate hain aur yahI dharma kA mUl hai. tathA aise dharma kI pratham shraddhA, pratIti, ruchi na ho to dharma kA AcharaN bhI nahIn hotA,––jaise vRukSha ke mUl binA skandhAdik nahIn hote. isaprakAr darshanako dharma kA mUl kahanA yukta hai. aise darshanakA siddhAntommen jaisA varNan hai tadanusAr kuchh likhate hain. vahAn antarang samyagdarshan to jIvakA bhAv hai vah nishchay dvArA upAdhi rahit shuddha jIv kA sAkShAt anubhav honA aisA ek prakAr hai. vah aisA anubhav anAdikAl se mithyAdarshan nAmak karmake uday se anyathA ho rahA hai. sAdi mithyAdRuShTike us mithyAtva kI tIn prakRitiyAn sattA men hotI hain–– mithyAtva, samyagmithyAtva aur samyakprakRiti. tathA unakI sahakAriNI anantAnubandhI krodh, mAn, mAyA, lobh ke bhed se chAr kaShAy nAmak prakRitiyAn hain. is prakAr yah sAt prakRitiyAn hI samyagdarshan kA ghAt karane vAlI hain; isaliye in sAtonkA upasham hone se pahale to is jIvake upashamasamyaktva hotA hai. in prakRitiyon kA upasham hone kA bAhya kAraN sAmAnyata dravya, kShetra, kAl, bhAv hain. unamen, dravyamen to sAkShAt tIrthankar ke dekhanAdi pradhAn hain, kShetramen samavasaraNAdik pradhAn hain, kAlamen ardhapudgalaparAvartan sansAr bhramaN sheSh rahe vah, tathA bhAvamen adhapravRuttakaraN Adik hain. –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– 1. sAthakarUp–– sahachar heturUp nimittamAtra; antarang kArya ho to bAhya men is prakAr ko nimittakAraN kahA jAtA hai.

ve chinha kaun se hain so likhate hain–mukhya chinha to upAdhirahit shuddha gnAn–chetanA svarUp AtmA kI anubhUti hai. yadyapi yah anubhUti gnAnakA visheSh hai, tathApi vah samyaktva honepar hotI hai, isaliye use bAhya chinha kahate hain. gnAn to apanA apane ko svasamvedanarUp hai; usakA, rAgAdi vikAr rahit shuddhagnAnamAtra kA apane ko AsvAd hotA hai ki–‘jo yah shuddha gnAn hai so main hUn aur gnAn men jo rAgAdi vikAr hain ve karmake nimitta se utpanna hote hain, vah merA svarUp nahIn hain’–isaprakAr bhed gnAnase gnAnamAtra ke AsvAdan ko gnAn kI anubhUti kahate hain, vahI AtmAkI anubhUti hai, tathA vahI shuddhanay kA viShay hai. aisI anubhUti se shuddhanay se dvArA aisA bhI shraddhAn hotA hai ki sarva jIv karmajanit rAgAdi bhAv se rahit anant chatuShTay merA svarUp hai, anya sab bhAv sanjogajanit hain; aisI AtmA kI anubhUti so samyaktvakA mukhya chinha hai. yah mithyAtva anantAnubandhI ke abhAvamen samyaktva hotA hai usakA chinha hai; us chinha ko hI samyaktva kahanA so vyavahAr hai.
