vātsalyan vinayen cha anukampayā sudān dakṣhayā. mārgaguṇashansanathā upagūhanan rakṣhaṇen cha.. 11.. etaiḥ lakṣhaṇaiḥ cha lakṣhyate ārjavaiḥ bhāvaiḥ. jīvaḥ ārādhayan jinasamyaktvan amohena.. 12..

arthaḥ––jinadevakī shraddhā–samyaktvakī moh arthāt mithyātva rahit ārādhanā karatā huā jīv in lakṣhaṇonse arthāt chinhonse pahichānā jātā hai–pratham to dharmātmā puruṣhonse jisake vātsalyabhāv ho, jaise tatkālakī prasūtivān gāy ko bachche se prīti hotī hai vaise dharmātmā se prīti ho, ek to yah chinha hai. samyaktvādi guṇonse adhik ho usakā vinay–satkārādik jisake adhik ho, aisā vinay ek yah chinha hai. duḥkhī prāṇī dekhakar karuṇābhāv svarūp anukampā jisake ho, ek yah chinha hai, anukampā kaisī ho? bhale prakār dān se yogya ho. nirgranthasvarūp mokṣhamārga kī prashansā sahit ho, ek yah chinha hai, jo mārga kī prashansā nahīn karatā ho to jāno ki isake mārga kī dr̥urḥ shraddhā nahīn hai. dharmātmā puruṣhon ke karmake udayase [udayavash] doṣh utpanna ho usako vikhyāt na kare isaprakār upagūhan bhāv ho, ek yah chinha hai. dharmātmā ko mārga se chigatā jānakar usakī sthiratā kare aisā rakṣhaṇ nāmakā chinha hai isako sthitikaraṇ bhī kahate haĩn. in sab chinhoṅko satyārtha karanevālā ek ārjavabhāv hai, kyoṅki niṣhkapaṭ pariṇāmase yah sab chinha pragaṭ hote hain, satyārtha hote hain, itane lakṣhaṇonse samyagdr̥uṣhṭi ko jān sakate haĩn. bhāvārthaḥ––samyaktvabhāv–mithyātva karmake abhāvamen jīvoṅkā nijabhāv pragaṭ hotā hai so vah bhāv to sūkṣhma hai, chhadmastha ke gnānagochar nahīn hai aur usake bāhya chinha samyagdr̥uṣhṭi ke pragaṭ hote hain, unase samyaktva huā jānā jātā hai. jo vātsalya ādi bhāv kahen ve āpake to apane anubhavagochar hote hain aur anya ke usakī vachan kāy kī kriyā se jāne jāte hai, unakī parīkṣhā jaise apane kriyāvisheṣh se hotī hai vaise hī anya kī bhī kriyā visheṣh se parīkṣhā hotī hai, isaprakār vyavahār hai. yadi aisā na ho to samyaktva vyavahār mārgakā lop ho isaliye vyavahārī prāṇīko vyavahārakā hī āshray kahā hai, paramārthako sarvagna jānatā hai..11–12.. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

ab kahate hain ki jo aise kāraṇ sahit ho to samyaktva chhoṛatā haiḥ––
uchchhāhabhāvaṇāsampasansasevā kudansaṇe saddhā.
aṇṇāṇamohamagge kuvvanto jahadi jiṇasamman.. 13..
utsāh bhāvanā shamprashansāsevā kudarshane shraddhā.
agnānamohamārge kurvan jahāti jinasamyaktvam.. 13..

arthaḥ––kudarshan arthāt naiyāyik , vaisheṣhik, sāṅkhyamat, mīmānsakamat, vaidānta ,
bauddhamat, chārvākamat, shūnyavādake mat inake bheṣh tathā inake bhāṣhit padārtha aur shvetāmbarādik
jainābhās inamen shraddhā, utsāh, bhāvanā, prashansā aur inakī upāsanā va sevā jo puruṣh karatā
hai vah jinamat kī shraddhārūp samyaktva ko chhoṛatā hai, vah kudarshan, agnān aur mithyātva kā
mārga hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––anādikāl se mithyātvakarma ke uday se (udayavash) yah jīv sansār men
bhramaṇ karatā hai so koī bhāgya ke uday se jinamārga kī shraddhā huī ho aur mithtāmat ke prasaṅg
men mithtāmat men kuchh kāraṇ se utsāh, bhāvanā, prashansā, sevā, shraddhā utpanna ho to
samyaktvakā abhāv ho jāy, kyoṅki jinamat ke sivāy anya maton men chhadmastha agnāniyon dvārā
prarūpit mithyā padārtha tathā mithyā pravr̥uttirūp mārga hai, usakī shraddhā āve tab jinamat kī shraddhā
jātī rahe, isaliye mithyādr̥uṣhṭiyon kā sansarga hī nahīn karanā, isaprakār bhāvārtha jānanā.. 13..

āge kahate hain ki jo ye hī utsāh bhāvanādik kahe ve sudarshan men hon to jinamat kī shraddhārūp
samyaktva ko nahīn chhoṛatā hai–––

arthaḥ
––sudarshan arthāt samyakdarshan–gnān–chāritra svarūp samyakmārga usamen utsāh
bhāvanā arthāt grahaṇ karane kā utsāh karake bārambār chintavanarūp bhāv aur prashansā arthāt
man–vachan–kāy se bhalā jānakar stuti karanā, sevā arthāt upāsanā, pūjanādik karanā aur
shraddhā karanā, isaprakār gnānamārgase yathārtha jānakar karatā puruṣh hai vah jinamat kī shraddhārūp
samyaktvako nahīn chhoṛatā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––jinamat men utsāh, bhāvanā, prashansā, sevā, shraddhā jisake ho vah samyaktva se
chyut nahīn hotā hai.. 14..

āge agnān, mithyātav, kuchāritra tyāgakā upadesh karate hainḥ––
aṇṇāṇṇan michchhattan vajjah ṇāṇe visuddhasammatte.
ah mohan sārambhan parihar dhamme ahinsāe.. 15..
agnānan mithyātvan varjjay gnāne vishuddhasamyaktve.
ath mohan sārambhan parihar dharme ahinsāyām.. 15..

arthaḥ
––āchārya kahate hain ki he bhavya! tū gnān ke hone par to agnānakā tyāg kar,
vishuddha samyaktva ke honepar mithyātvakā tyāg kar aur ahinsā lakṣhaṇ dharma ke hone par
ārambhasahit moh ko chhoṛa.

bhāvārthaḥ––samyakdarshan–gnān–chāritra kī prāpti honepar phir mithyādarshan–gnān–
chāritramen mat pravarto, isaprakār upadesh hai.. 15..

pavvajja saṅgachāe payaṭṭa sutave susañjame bhāve.
hoi suvisuddhajhāṇan ṇimmohe vīyarāyatte.. 16..
pravrajyāyān saṅgatyāge pravarttasva sutapasi susanyame bhāve.
bhavati suvishuddhadhyānan nirmohe vītarāgatve.. 16..

arthaḥ
––he bhavya! tū saṅg arthāt parigrah kā tyāg jisamen ho aisī dīkṣhā grahaṇ kar aur
bhale prakār sanyam svarūp bhāv honepar samyakprakār tap men pravartan kar jisase tere moh rahit
vītarāgapanā honepar nirmal dharma–shukladhyān ho.

bhāvārthaḥ––nirgrantha ho dīkṣhā lekar, sanyamabhāvase bhale prakār tap men pravartan kare, tab
sansār kā moh dūr hokar vītarāgapanā ho, phir nirmal dharmadhyān shukladhyān hote hain, isaprakār
dhyān se kevalagnān utpanna karake mokṣha prāpta hotā hai, isaliye isaprakār upadesh hai.. 16..

āge kahate hain ki yah jīv agnān or mithyātva ke doṣhase mithyāmārga men pravartan karatā
hai–––
michchhādansaṇamagge maliṇe aṇṇāṇamohadosehĩn.
vajjhanti mūḍhajīvā
1michchhattābuddhiudaeṇa.. 17..
mithyādarshanamārge maline agnānamohadoṣhaiḥ.
vadhyante mūḍhajīvāḥ mithyātvābuddhyudayena.. 17..

arthaḥ
––mūrḥ jīv agnān aur moh arthāt mithyātva ke doṣhonse malin jo mithyādarshan
arthāt kumat ke mārga men mithyātva aur abuddhi arthāt agnān ke udayase pravr̥utti karate haĩn.

niḥsaṅg lahī dīkṣhā, pravarta susanyame, sattap viṣhe;

te mūḍhajīv mithyātva ne matidoṣhathī bandhāy chhe. 17.

bhāvārthaḥ––ye mūrḥajīv mithyātva aur agnānake uday se mithyāmārga men pravartate hain isaliye mithyātva–āgnānakā nāsh karanā yah upadesh hai.. 17.. āge kahate hain ki samyakdarshan, gnān, shraddhānase chāritrake doṣh dūr hote hainḥ––

sammadansaṇ passadi jāṇadi ṇāṇeṇ davvapajjāyā.
sammeṇ ya sadrahadi ya pariharadi charittaje dose.. 18..
samyagdarshanen pashyati jānāti gnānen dravyaparyāyān.
samyaktven cha shradradhāti cha pariharati chāritrajān doṣhān.. 18..

arthaḥ––yah ātmā samyakdarshan se to sattāmātra vastu ko dekhatā hai, samyaggnān se dravya
aur paryāyoṅko jānatā hai, samyaktva se dravya–paryāyasvarūp sattāmayī vastukā shraddhān karatā hai
aur isaprakār dekhanā, jānanā va shradvān hotā hai tab chāritra arthāt ācharaṇ men utpanna hue
doṣhoṅko chhoṛatā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––vastukā svarūp dravya–paryāyātmak sattāsvarūp hai, so jaisā hain vaisā dekhe,
jāne, shraddhān kare tab ācharaṇ shuddha kare, so sarvagnake āgam se vastukā nishchay karake
ācharaṇ karanā. vastu hai vah dravya–paryāyasvarūp hai. dravyakā sattā lakṣhaṇ hai tathā guṇaparyāyavān
ko dravya kahate hai. paryāy do prakār kī hai, sahavartī aur kramavartī. sahavartī ko guṇ kahate hain
aur kamavartī ko paryāy kahate hain–dravya sāmānyarūpase ek hai to bhī visheṣharūp se chhah hain–jīv,
pudgal, dharma, adharma, ākāsh aur kāla.. 18..

jīv ke darshan–gnānamayī chetanā to guṇ hai aur achakṣhu ādi darshan, mati ādik gnān
tathā krodh, mān , māyā, lobh ādi va nar, nārakādi vibhāv paryāy hai, svabhāv paryāy
agurulaghu guṇ ke ddhārā hāni–vr̥uddhi kā pariṇaman hai. pudgal dravya ke sparsha, ras, gandh, varṇarūp
mūrtikapanā to guṇ hain aur sparsha, ras, gandh varṇakā bhedarūp pariṇaman tathā aṇuse skandharūp
honā tathā shabda, bandha ādirūp honā ityādi paryāy hai. dharma–adharma ke gatihetutva–
sthitihetutvapanā to guṇ hai aur is guṇ ke jīv–pudgalake gati–sthiti ke bhedonse bhed hote
hain ve paryāy hain tathā agụrulaghu guṇake dvārā hāni–vr̥uddhikā pariṇaman hotā hai jo svabhāv paryāy
hai.

dekhe darashathī, gnānathī jāṇe darav–paryāyane,
samyaktvathī shraddhā kare, chāritradoṣho parihare. 18.

ākāsh kā avagāhanā guṇ hai aur jīv–pudgal ādi ke nimittase pradesh bhed kalpanā kiye jāte hain ve paryāy hain tathā hāni–vr̥uddhikā pariṇaman vah svabhāvaparyāy hai. kāladravya kā vartanā to guṇ hai aur jīv aur pudgal ke nimitta se samay ādi kalpanā so paryāy hai isako vyavahārakāl bhī kahate hain tathā hāni–vr̥uddhikā pariṇaman vah svabhāvaparyāy hai ityādi. inakā svarūp jin–āgamase jānakar dekhanā, jānanā, shraddhān karanā, isase chāritra shuddha hotā hai. binā gnān, shraddhān ke ācharaṇ shuddha nahīn hotā hai, isaprakār jānanā.. 18.. āge kahate hain ki ye samyagdarshan, gnān, chāritra tīn bhāv moh rahit jīvake hote hain, inakā ācharaṇ karatā huā shīghra mokṣha pātā haiḥ–––

ee tiṇṇi vi bhāvā havanti jīvassa moharahiyassa.
ṇiyaguṇamārāhanto achireṇ ya kamma pariharai.. 19..
e te trayo‘pi bhāvāḥ bhavanti jīvasya moharahitasya.
nijaguṇamārādhayan achireṇ cha karma pariharati.. 19..

arthaḥ
––ye pūrvokta samyagdarshan–gnān–chāritra tīn bhāv hain, ye nishchayase moh arthāt
mithyātvarahit jīv ke hī hote hain, tab yah jīv apanā nij guṇ jo shuddhadarshan –gnānamayī
chetanā kī arādhanā karatā huā thoṛ hī kāl men karmakā nāsh karatā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––nijaguṇ ke dhyān se shīghra hī kevalagnān utpanna karake mokṣha pātā hai..19..

re! hoy chhe bhāvo traṇe ā, mohavirahit jīvane;

āge is samyaktva charitrake kathanakā saṅkoch karate hainḥ––
saṅkhijjamasaṅkhijjaguṇan cha sansārimerumattā1 ṇan.
sammattamaṇucharantā karenti dukkhakkhayan dhīrā.. 20..
saṅkhyeyāmasaṅkhyeyaguṇān sansārimerumātrā ṇan.
samyaktvamanucharantaḥ kurvanti duḥkhakṣhayan dhīrāḥ.. 20..

arthaḥ
––samyaktvakā ācharaṇ karate hue dhīr puruṣh saṅkhyātaguṇī tathā asaṅkhyātaguṇī
karmoṅkī nirjarā karate hain aur karmoṅke udayase hue sansārake duḥkhakā nāsh karate haĩn. karma kaise
hain? sansārī jīvoṅke merū arthāt maryādā mātra hain aur siddha hove ke bād karma nahīn haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––is samyaktva kā ācharaṇ honepar pratham kāl men to guṇashreṇī nirjarā hotī
hai, vah asaṅkhyātake guṇakār rūp hai. pīchhe jab tak sanyam kā ācharaṇ nahīn hotā hai tabatak
guṇashreṇī nirjarā nahīn hotī hai. vahān̐ saṅkhyāt ke guṇākārarūp hotī hai isaliye saṅkhyātaguṇ aur
asaṅkhyātaguṇ isaprakār donon vachan kahe. karma to sansār avasthā hai, jabatak hai usamen duḥkh
kā mohakarma hai, usamen mithyātvakarma pradhān hai. samayaktvake hone par mithyātvakā to abhāv hī
huā aur chāritra moh duḥkhakā kāraṇ hai, so yah bhī jab tak hai tabatak usakī nirjarā karatā
hai, isaprakār se anukramase duḥkh kā kṣhay hotā hai. sanyamācharaṇake hone par sab duḥkhoṅkā kṣhay
hovegā hī. samyaktvakā mahātmya isaprakār hai ki samyaktvācharaṇ hone par sanyamācharaṇ bhī shīghra
hī hotā hai, isaliye samyaktvako mokṣhamārga men pradhān jānakar is hī kā varṇan pahile kiyā
hai.. 20..

āge sanyamācharaṇ chāritra ko kahate hainḥ–––

samyaktva ācharanār dhīrā duḥkhanā kṣhayane kare. 20.

arthaḥ
––sanyamācharaṇ chāritra do prakār kā hai––sāgār aur nirāgāra. sāgār to
parigrah sahit shrāvakake hotā hai aur nirāgār parigrahase rahit munike hotā hai yah nishchay hai..

āge sāgār sanyāmācharaṇ ko kahate hainḥ––
dansaṇ vay sāmāiy posah sachitta rāyabhatte ya.
bambhārambh pariggah aṇumaṇ uddiṭṭha desavirado ya.. 22..
darshanan vratan sāmāyikan proṣhadhan sachittan rātribhuktishva.
brahma ārambhaḥ parigrahaḥ anumatiḥ uddiṣhṭa deshaviratashva.. 22..

arthaḥ
––darshan, vrat, sāmāyik, proṣhadh ādikā nām ekadesh hai, aur nām aise kahe
hain––proṣhadhopavās, sachittatyāg, rātribhuktityāg, brahmacharya, ārambhatyāg, parigrahatyāg,
anumatityāg aur uddiṣhṭatyāg, isaprakār gyārah prakār deshavirat hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––ye sāgār sanyāmācharaṇ ke gyārah sthān hain, inako pratimā bhī kahate
haĩn..22..

āge in sthānommen sanyamakā ācharaṇ kis prakār se hai vah kahate hainḥ––

pañchev ṇuvvayāin guṇavvayāin havanti tah tiṇṇi.
sikkhāvay chattāri ya sañjamacharaṇan cha sāyāran.. 23..
pañchaiv aṇuvratāni guṇavratāni bhavanti tathā trīṇi.
shikṣhāvratāni chatvāri sanyamacharaṇan cha sāgāram.. 23..

arthaḥ
––pān̐ch aṇuvrat, tīn guṇavrat aur chār shikṣhāvrat– isaprakār bārah prakārakā
sanyamacharaṇ chāritra hai jo sāgār hai, granthasahit shrāvakake hotā hai isaliye sāgār kahā hai.
prashnaḥ–– ye bārah prakār to vrat ke kahe aur pahile gāthāmen gyārah nām kahe, unamen
pratham darshan nām kahā usamen ye vrat kaise hote hain?

isakā samādhānaḥ––aṇuvrat aisā nām kiñchit vrat kā hai vah pān̐ch aṇuvratomme se kiñchit yahān̐ bhī hote hain isaliye darshan pratimā kā dhārī bhī aṇuvratī hī hai, isakā nām darshan hī kahā. yahān̐ isaprakār jānanā ki isake keval samyaktva hī hotā hai aur avratī hai aṇuvrat nahīn hai. isake aṇuvrat atichār sahit hote hain isaliye vratī nām kahā hai, dūsarī pratimā men aṇuvrat atichār rahit pālatā hai. isaliye vrat nām kahā hai. yahān̐ samyaktva ke atichār ṭālatā hai, samyaktva hī pradhān hai isaliye darshan pratimā nām hai. anya granthommen isakā svarūp isaprakār kahā hai ki–jo āṭh mūlaguṇ kā pālan kare, sāt vyasan ko tyāge, jisake samyaktva atichār rahit shuddha ho vah darshan pratimā dhārak hai. pān̐ch udambar phal aur madya, mān̐s, madhu in āṭhoṅkā tyāg karanā vah āṭh mūlaguṇ haĩn.


athavā kisī grantha men isaprakār kahā hai ki–pān̐ch aṇuvrat pāle aur madya, mān̐s,

madhukā tyāg kare vah āṭh mūlaguṇ hain, parantu isamen virodh nahīn hai, vivakṣhākā bhed hai. pān̐ch udambaraphal aur tīn makārakā tyāg kahane se jin vastuommen sākṣhāt tras jīv dikhate hon un sab hī vastuoṅko bhakṣhaṇ nahīn kare. devādikake nimitta tathā auṣhadhādi nimitta ityādi kāraṇonse dikhate hue tras jīvoṅkā ghāt na karen, aisā āshay hai jo isamen to ahinsāṇuvrat āyā. sāt vyasanon ke tyāg men ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

aṇuvrat kahyān chhe pāñch ne traṇ guṇavrato nirdiṣhṭa chhe,
shikṣhāvrato chhe chār;–e sanyamacharaṇ sāgār chhe. 23.

86] [aṣhṭapāhuḍ jūṭh, chorī aur parastrīkā tyāg āyā, anya vyasanoṅke tyāg men anyāy, paradhan, parastrīkā grahaṇ nahīn hai; isamen atilobh ke tyāg se parigrah kā ghaṭanā āyā. isaprakār pān̐ch aṇuvrat āte haĩn. inake [vratādi pratimāke] atichār nahīn ṭalate hain isaliye aṇuvratī nām prāpta nahīn karatā [phir bhī] isaprakār se darshan pratimā dhārak bhī aṇuvratī hai isaliye deshavirat sāgārasanyamācharaṇ chāritra men isako bhī ginā hai..23.. āge pān̐ aṇuvratoṅkā svarūp kahate hainḥ–––

thūle tasakāyavahe thūle moṣhe adattathūle1 ya.
parihāro paramahilā pariggahārambhaparimāṇan.. 24..
sthūle trasakāyavadhe sthūlāyān mr̥uṇāyān adattasthūle cha.
parihāraḥ paramahilāyān parigrahārambhaparimāṇam.. 24..

arthaḥ
––thūl trasakāyakā ghāt, thūl mr̥uṣhā arthāt asatya, thūl adattā arthāt parakā binā
diyā dhan, par mahilā arthāt parastrī inakā to parihār arthāt tyāg aur parigrah tathā
ārambhakā pariṇām isaprakār pān̐ch aṇuvrat haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––yahān̐ thūl kahane kā aisā jānanā ki– jisamen apanā maraṇ ho, parakā maraṇ
ho, apanā ghar bigaṛe par kā ghar bigaṛe, rājā ke daṇḍa yogya ho, pañchoṅke daṇḍa yogya ho
isaprakār moṭe anyāyarūp pāpakārya jānane. isaprakār sthūl pāp rājādikake bhayase na kare vah
vrat nahīn hai, inako tīvra kaṣhāyake nimittase tīvra karmabandh ke nimitta jānakar svayamev na karane
ke bhāvarūp tyāg ho vah vrat hai. isake gyārah sthānak kahe, inamen ūpar–ūpar tyāg barḥatā
jātā hai so isakī utkr̥uṣhṭatā tak aisā hai ki jin kāryommen tras jīvoṅko bādhā ho isaprakār
ke sab hī kārya chhūṭ jāte hain isaliye sāmānya aisā nām kahā hai ki trasahinsākā tyāgī
deshavratī hotā hai. isakā visheṣh kathan anya granthonse jānanā.. 24..

arthaḥ
––dishā – vidishāmen gamanakā parimāṇ vah pratham guṇavrat hai, anarthadaṇḍakā varjanā
dvitīy guṇavrat hai, aur bhogopabhogakā parimāṇ tīsarā guṇavrat hai, –––isaprakār ye tīn
guṇavrat haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––yahān̐ guṇ shabda to upakārakā vāchak hai, ye aṇuvratoṅkā upakār karate haĩn.
dishā – vidishā arthāt pūrva dishādik men gaman karane kī maryādā kare. anarthadaṇḍa arthāt jin
kāryon men apanā prayojan na sadhe isaprakār pāpakāryon ko na karẽn. yahān̐ ko pūchhe–prayojan ke
binā to koī bhī jīv kārya nahīn karatā hai, kuchh prayojan vichār karake hī karatā hai phir
anarthadaṇḍa kyā? isakā samādhān – samayagdr̥uṣhṭi shrāvak hotā hai vah prayojan apane padake
yogya vichāratā hai, pad ke sivāy sab anartha hai. pāpī puruṣhoṅke to sab hī pāp prayojan hai,
unakī kyā kathā. bhog kahanese bhojanādik aur upabhog kahane se strī, vastra, ābhūṣhaṇ,
vāhanādikoṅkā parimāṇ kare–––isaprakār jānanā..25..

āge chār shikṣhā vraton ko kahate hainḥ––
sāmāiyan cha paḍhaman bidiyan cha tahev posahan bhaṇiyan.
taiyan cha atihipujjan chauttha sallehaṇā ante.. 26..

arthaḥ––sāmāyik to pahalā shikṣhāvrat hai, vaise hī dūsarā proṣhadh vrat hai, tīsarā
atithikā pūjan hai, chauthā hai antasamay sanllekhanā vrat hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––yahān̐ shikṣhā shabdase to aisā artha sūchit hotā hai ki āgāmī munivrat kī
shikṣhā inamen hai, jab muni hogā tab isaprakār rahanā hogā. sāmāyik kahane se to rāg–dveṣh
tyāg kar, sab gr̥uhārambhasambandhī kriyāse nivr̥utti kar, ekānt sthān men baiṭhakar prabhāt, madhyāhna,
aparāhna kuchh kāl kī maryādā karake apane svarūpakā chintavan tathā pañchaparameṣhṭhīkī bhaktikā
pāṭh parḥanā, unakī vandanā karanā ityādi vidhān karanā sāmāyik hai. isaprakār hī proṣhadh
arthāt aṣhṭamī chaudasake parvommen pratignā karake dharma kāryon men pravartanā proṣhadh hai. atithi arthāt
muniyon kī pūjā karanā, unako āhāradān denā atithipūjan hai. ant samayamen kāy aur
kaṣhāyako kr̥ush karanā, samādhimaraṇ karanā anta sanllekhanā hai, ––isaprakār chār shikṣhāvrat haĩn.

yahān̐ prashna––––tattvārthasūtra men tīn guṇavratommen deshavrat kahā aur bhogopabhog–parimāṇako
shikṣhāvraton men kahā tathā sanllekhanāko bhinna kahā vah kaise?

isakā samādhānaḥ–––yah vivakṣhā kā bhed hai, yahān̐ deshavrat digavrat men garbhit hai aur sanllekhanāko shikṣhāvraton men kahā hai, kuchh virodh nahīn hai.. 26.. āge kahate hain ki sanyamācharaṇ chāritramen shrāvak dharmako kahā, ab yatidharmako kahate hain–– ––

evan sāvayadhamman sañjamacharaṇan udesiyan sayalan.
suddhan sañjamacharaṇan jaidhamman ṇikkalan vochchhe.. 27..
evan shrāvakadharman sanyamacharaṇan upadeshitan sakalam.
shuddhan sanyamacharaṇan yatidharma niṣhphalan vakṣhye.. 27..

arthaḥ––evan arthāt isaprakār se shrāvakadharmasvarūp sanyamacharaṇ to kahā, yah kaisā hai? sakal arthāt kalā sahit hai, (yahān̐) ekadeshako kalā kahate haĩn. ab yatidharmake dharmasvarūp sanyamacharaṇako kahūn̐gā––aise āchāryane pratignā kī hai. yatidharma kaisā hai? shuddha hai, nirdoṣh hai, jisamen pāpācharaṇakā lesh nahīn hai, nikal arthāt kalā se niḥkrānt hai, sampūrṇa hai, shrāvakadharma kī tarah ekadesh nahīn hai.. 27.. āge yatidharma kī sāmagrī kahate hainḥ––

pañchendiyasamvaraṇan pañch vayā pañchavinsakiriyāsu.
pañch samidi tay guttī sañjamacharaṇan ṇirāyāran.. 28..
pañchendriyasamvaraṇan pañch vratāḥ pañchavinshatikriyāsu.
pañch samitayaḥ tisraḥ guptayaḥ sanyamacharaṇan nirāgāram.. 28..

arthaḥ
––pān̐ch indriyoṅkā samvar, pān̐ch vrat ye pachchīs kriyāke sadbhāv honepar hote hain,
pān̐ch samiti aur tīn gupti aise nirāgār sanyamacharaṇ chāritra hotā hai.. 28..

āge pān̐ch indriyoṅke samvaraṇ kā svarūp kahate hainḥ–––
amaṇuṇṇe ya maṇuṇṇe sajīvadavve ajīvadavve ya.
ṇa karedi rāyadose pañchendiyasamvaro bhaṇio.. 29..
amanogne cha manogne sajīvadravye ajīvadravye cha.
na karoti rāgadveṣhau pañchendriyasamvaraḥ bhaṇitaḥ.. 29..

arthaḥ
––amanogna tathā manogna aise padārtha jinako log apane mānen aise sajīvadravya strī
pujādik aur ajīvadravya dhan dhānya ādi sab pudgal dravya ādimen rāgadveṣh na kare vah pān̐ch
indriyoṅkā samvar kahā hai.

––vachanagupti aur manogupti aise do to guptiyān̐, īyāsamiti, bhale prakār kamaṇḍalu
ādikā grahaṇ – nikṣhep yah ādānanikṣhepaṇā samiti aur achchhī tarah dekhakar vidhipūrvak shuddha
bhojan karanā yah eṣhaṇā samiti, –––isaprakār ye pān̐ch ahinsā mahāvratakī bhāvanā haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––bhāvanā nām bārabār usahī ke abhyās karane kā hai, so yahān̐ pravr̥utti–

arthaḥ
––krodh, bhay, hāsya, lobh aur moh inase viparīt arthāt ulaṭā inakā abhāv
ye dvitīy vrat satya mahāvrat kī bhāvanā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––asatya vachanakī pravr̥utti krodhase, bhayase, hāsyase, lobhase aur paradravyake
moharūp mithyātvase hotī hai, inakā tyāg ho jānepar satya mahāvrat dr̥urḥ rahatā hai.

tattvārthasūtra men pān̐chavīn bhāvanā anuvīchībhāṣhaṇ kahī hai, so isakā artha yah hai ki–
jinasūtrake anusār vachan bole aur yahān̐ mohakā abhāv kahā. vah mithyātvake nimittase
sūtraviruddha bolatā hai, mithyātvakā abhāv honepar sūtraviruddha nahīn bolatā hai, anuvīchībhāṣhaṇakā
yahī artha huā isamen artha bhed nahīn hai.. 33..

āge achaurya mahāvrat bhāvanā kahate hainḥ––
suṇṇāyāraṇivāso 1vimochiyāvās jan parodhan cha.
esaṇasuddhisauttan sāhammīsamvisamvādo.. 34..
shūnyāgāranivāsaḥ vimochittāvāsaḥ yat parodhan cha.
eṣhaṇāshuddhisahitan sādharmisamavisamvādaḥ.. 34..

arthaḥ––shūnyāgār arthāt giri, guphā, taru, koṭarādimen nivās karanā,

mahilāloyaṇapuvvaraisaraṇasansattavasahivikahāhĩn.
puṭṭhiyarasehin virao bhāvaṇ pañchāvi turiyammi.. 35..
mahilā lokan pūrvarati smaraṇasansakta vasativikathābhiḥ.
pauṣhṭikarasaiḥ virataḥ bhāvanāḥ pañchāpi turye.. 35..

arthaḥ
––striyoṅkā avalokan arthāt rāg bhāv sahit dekhanā, pūrvakālamen bhoge hue
bhogoṅkā smaraṇ karanā, striyonse sansakta vastikāmen rahanā, striyoṅkī kathā karanā, pauṣhṭik
rasoṅkā sevan karanā, in pān̐chonse vikār utpanna hotā hai, isaliye inase virakta rahanā, ye
pān̐ch brahmacharya mahāvrat kī bhāvanā haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––kāmavikār ke nimittonse brahmacharyavrat bhaṅg hotā hai, isaliye striyon ko
rāgabhāvase dekhanā ityādi nimitta kahe, inase virakta rahanā, prasaṅg nahīn karanā isase brahmacharya
mahāvrat dr̥urḥ rahatā hai.. 35..

bhāvārthaḥ––pān̐ch indriyoṅke viṣhay sparsha, ras, rūp, gandha, varṇa, shabda ye hain, inamen iṣhṭa–
aniṣhṭa buddhirūp rāg–dveṣh nahīn kare tab aparigrahavrat dr̥urḥ rahatā hai isaliye ye pān̐ch bhāvanā

iriyā bhāsā esaṇ jā sā ādāṇ che va ṇikkhevo.

––īryā, bhāṣhā, eṣhaṇā, ādānanikṣhepaṇ aur pratiṣhṭhāpanā ye pān̐ch samitiyān̐ sanyamakī

bhāvārthaḥ––muni pañchamahāvratarūp sanyamakā sādhan karate hain, us sanyamakī shuddhatā ke liye pān̐ch samitirūp pravartate hain, isī se isakā nām sārthak hai –– ‘san’ arthāt samyakprakār ‘iti’ arthāt pravr̥utti jisamen ho so samiti hai. chalate samay jūḍā pramāṇ (chār hāth) pr̥uthavī dekhatā huā chalatā hai, bole tab hitamit vachan bolatā hai, leve to chhiyālis doṣh, battīs antarāy ṭālakar, chaudah maladoṣh rahit shuddha āhār letā hai, dharmopakaraṇoṅko uṭhākar grahaṇ kare so yatnapūrvak lete hai; aise hī kuchh kṣhepaṇ karen tab yatna pūrvak kṣhepaṇ karate hain, isaprakār niṣhpramād varte tab sanyamakā shuddha pālan hotā hai, isīliye pañchasamitirūp pravr̥utti kahī hai. isaprakār sanyamacharaṇ chāritrakī pravr̥uttikā varṇan kiyā.. 37.. ab āchārya nishchiyachāritrako man men dhāraṇ kar gnān kā svarūp kahate hainḥ––

bhavvajaṇabohaṇatthan jiṇamagge jiṇavarehi jah bhaṇiyan.
ṇāṇan ṇāṇasarūvan appāṇan tan viyāṇehi.. 38..
bhavyajan bodhanārthan jinamārge jinavaraiḥ yathā bhaṇitan.
gnānan gnānasvarūpan ātmānan tan vijānīhi.. 38..

arthaḥ
––jinamārgamen jineshvaradevane bhavyajīvoṅke sambodhaneke liye jaisā gnān aur gnānakā
svarūp kahā hai us gnānasvarūp ātmā hai, usako he bhavyajīv! tū jāna.

bhāvārthaḥ––gnānako aur gnānake svarūpako anya matavāle anek prakārase kahate hain, vaisā
gnān aur vaisā svarūp gnānakā nahīn hai. jo sarvagna vītarāgadev bhāṣhit gnān or gnānakā
svarūp hai vahī nirbādh satyārtha hai aur gnān hai vahī ātmā hai tathā ātmākā svarūp hai, usako
jānakar usamen sthiratā bhāv kare, paradravyonse rāgadveṣh nahīn kare vahī nishchayachāritra hai, isaliye
pūrvokta mahāvratādikī pravr̥utti karake is gnānasvarūp ātmāmen līn honā isaprakār upadesh hai..

āge kahate hain ki jo isaprakār gnānase aise jānatā hai vah samyaggnānī hainḥ––
jīvājīvavibhattī jo jāṇai so havei saṇṇāṇī.
rāyādidosarahio jiṇasāsaṇe

jīvājīvavibhaktin yaḥ jānāti sa bhavet sajgnānaḥ.
rāgādidoṣharahitaḥ jinashāsane mokṣhamārga iti.. 39..

arthaḥ
––jo puruṣh jīv aur ajīvakā bhed jānatā hai vah samyaggnānī hotā hai aur
rāgādi doṣhonse rahit hotā hai, isaprakār jinashāsanamen mokṣhamārga hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––jo jīv – ajīv padārthakā svarūp bhedarūp jānakar sva–parakā bhed jānatā
hai vah samyaggnānī hotā haie aur paradravyon se rāgadveṣh chhoṛanese gnānamen sthiratā honepar nishchay
samyakchāritra hotā hai, vahī jinamat men mokṣhamārgakā svarūp kahā hai. anya matavālonne anek
prakārase kalpanā karake kahā hai vah mokṣhamārga nahīn hai.. 39..

āge isaprakār mokṣhamārga ko jānakar shraddhā sahit isamen pravr̥utti karatā hai vah shīghra hī
mokṣhako prāpta karatā hai isaprakār kahate hainḥ––
dansaṇaṇāṇacharittan tiṇṇi vi jāṇeh paramasaddhāe.
jan jāṇiūṇ joī aireṇ lahanti ṇivvāṇan.. 40..
darshanagnānacharitran trīṇyapi jānīhi paramashraddhayā.
yat gnātvā yoginaḥ achireṇ labhante nirvāṇam.. 40..

je jāṇato jīv–ajīvanā suvibhāgane, sadgnānī te

je jāṇīne yogījano nirvāṇane achire vare. 40.
