arthaḥ––he bhavya! tū darshan–gnān–chāritra in tīnoṅko paramashraddhā jān, jinako jānakar yogī muni thoṛe hī kālamen nirvāṇ ko prāpta karatā hai. bhāvārthaḥ––samyagdarshan–gnān–chāritra trayātmak mokṣhamārga hai, isako shraddhāpūrvak jānanekā upadesh hai, kyoṅki isako jānanemen muniyoṅko mokṣhakī prāpti hotī hai.. 40.. āge kahate hain ki isaprakār nishchayachāritrarūp gnānakā svarūp kahā, jo isako pāte hain ve shivarūp mandiramen rahanevāle hote hainḥ––

1pāūṇ ṇāṇasalilan ṇimmalasuvishuddhabhāvasañjuttā.
honti sivālayavāsī tihuvaṇachūḍāmaṇī siddhā.. 41..
2prāpya gnānasalilan nirmal suvishuddhabhāvasanyuktāḥ.
bhavanti shivālayavāsinaḥ tribhuvanachūḍāmaṇayaḥ siddhāḥ.. 41..

arthaḥ
––jo puruṣh is jinabhāṣhit gnānarūp jalako pīkar apane nirmal bhale prakār
vishuddhabhāv sanyukta hote hain ve puruṣh tīn bhuvan ke chūṛāmaṇi aur shivālay arthāt mokṣharūpī
mandir men rahen vāle siddha parameṣhṭhi hote haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––jaise jalase snān karake shuddha hokar uttam puruṣh mahalamen nivās karate hain
vaise hī yah gnān, jalake samān hai aur ātmāke rāgādik mail laganese malinatā hotī hai,
isaliye is gnānarūp jalase rāgādik malako dhokar jo apanī ātmā ko shuddha karate hain ve
muktirūp mahal men rahakar ānanda bhogate hain, unako tīn bhuvanake shiromaṇi siddha kahate haĩn..
41..

āge kahate hain ki jo gnānaguṇ se rahit hain ve iṣhṭa vastuko nahīn pāte hain, isaliye guṇ
– doṣhako jānane ke liye gnānako bhale prakār se jānanāḥ––

iy ṇāun guṇadosan tan saṇṇāṇan viyāṇehi.. 42..
gnānaguṇaiḥ vihīnā na labhante te sviṣhṭan lābhan.
iti gnātvā guṇ doṣhau tat sadgnānan vijānīhi.. 42..

arthaḥ
––gnānaguṇ se hīn puruṣh apanī ichchhit vastuke lābhako nahīn prāpta karate,
isaprakār jānakar he bhavya! tū pūrvokta samyaggnānako guṇ–doṣh ke jānane ke liye jāna.

bhavārthaḥ––gnān ke binā guṇ–doṣhakā gnān nahīn hotā tab apanī iṣhṭa tathā aniṣhṭa
vastuko nahīn jānatā hai tab iṣhṭa vastukā lābh nahīn hotā hai isaliye samyaggnān hī se guṇ–
doṣh jāne jāte hain
. kyoṅki samyaggnānake binā hey–upādey vastuoṅkā jānanā nahīn hotā aur
hey–upādey ko jāne binā samyakchāritra nahīn hotā hai, isaliye gnān hī ko chāritrase pradhān
kahā hai.. 42..

āge kahate hain ki jo samyaggnān sahit chāritra dhāraṇ karatā hai vah thoṛe hī kāl men
anupam sukhako pātā haiḥ––
chārittasamārūḍho appāsu paran ṇa īhae ṇāṇī.
pāvai aireṇ suhan aṇovaman jāṇ ṇichchhayado.. 43..
chāritrasamārūḍh ātmani1 paran na īhate gnānī.
prāpnoti achireṇ sukhan anupaman jānīhi nishvayataḥ.. 43..

arthaḥ––jo puruṣh gnānī hai aur chāritra sahit hai vah apanī ātmāmen paradravyakī ichchhā nahīn karatā hai, paradravyamen rāg–dveṣh–moh nahīn karatā hai. vah gnānī jisakī upamā nahīn hai isaprakār, avināshī muktike sukhako pātā hai. he bhavya! tū nishchay se isaprakār jāna. yahān̐ gnānī hokar hey–upādeyako jānakar, sanyamī banakar paradravyako apane men nahīn milātā hai vah param sukh pātā hai, –isaprakār batāyā hai.. 43.. āge iṣhṭa chāritra ke kathanakā saṅkoch karate hainḥ––

evan saṅkheveṇ ya bhaṇiyan ṇāṇeṇ vīyarāeṇa.
sammattasañjamāsayaduṇhan pi udesiyan charaṇan.. 44..
evan saṅkṣhepeṇ cha bhaṇitan gnānen vītarāgeṇa.
samyaktvasanyamāshrayadvayorapi uddeshitan charaṇam.. 44..

arthaḥ
––evan arthāt aise pūrvokta prakār saṅkṣhep se shrī vītarāgadevane gnānake dvārā kahe
isaprakār samyaktva aur sanyam in donoṅke āshray chāritra samyaktvacharaṇasvarūp aur
sanyamacharaṇasvarūp do prakārase upadesh kiyā hai, āchāryane chāritra ke kathan ko saṅkṣheparūp se kah
kar saṅkoch kiyā hai.. 44..

āge is chāritrapāhuḍako bhāne kā upadesh or isakā phal kahate hainḥ––
bhāveh bhāvasuddhan phuḍu raiyan charaṇapāhuḍan cheva.
lahu chaugai chaiūṇan aireṇa‘puṇabbhavā hoī.. 45..
bhāvayat bhāvashuddhan sphuṭan rachitan charaṇaprābhr̥utan chaiva.
laghu chaturgatīḥ vyaktvā achireṇ apunarbhavāḥ bhavata.. 45..

arthaḥ
––yahān̐ āchārya kahate hain ki he bhavyajīvon! yah charaṇ arthāt chāritrapāhuḍ hamane
sphuṭ pragaṭ karake banāyā hai usako tum apane shuddha bhāv se bhāo. apane bhāvommen

100] [aṣhṭapāhuḍ bārambār abhyās karo, isase shīghra hī chār gatiyoṅko chhoṛakar apunarbhav mokṣha tumhen hogā, phir sansār men janma nahīn pāoge. bhāvārthaḥ––is chāritrapāhuḍako vāñchanā, parḥanā, dhāraṇ karanā, bārambār bhānā, abhyās karanā yah upadesh hai, isase chāritrakā svarūp jānakar dhāraṇ karane kī ruchi ho, aṅgīkār kare tab chār gatirūp sansārake duḥkh se rahit hokar nirvāṇ ko prāpta ho, phir sansāramen janma dhāraṇ nahīn kare; isaliye jo kalyāṇako chāhate hon ve isaprakār karo.. 45..

arthaḥ––āchārya kahate hain ki––main āchāryoṅko namaskār kar, chhahakāyake jīvon ko sukhake karane vāle, jinamārgamen jinadevane jaisā kahā hai vaise, jisamen samasta lok ke hitakā hī prayojan hai aisā grantha saṅkṣhepase kahūn̐gā, usako he bhavya jīvon! tum suno. jin āchāryon kī vandanā kī ve āchārya kaise hain? bahut shāstroṅke arthako jānanevāle hain, jinakā tapashcharaṇ samyaktva aur sanyamase shuddha hai, kaṣhāyarūp malase rahit hain isaliye shuddha haĩn. bhāvārthaḥ––yahān̐ āchāryon kī vandanā kī, unake visheṣhaṇonse jānā jātā hai ki– gaṇadharādik se lekar apane guruparyant sabakī vandanā hai aur grantha karane kī pratīgnā kī usake visheṣhaṇon se jānā jātā hai ki–– jo bodhapāhuḍ grantha kareṅge vah logon ko dharmamārga men sāvadhān kar kumārga chhuṛākar ahinsā dharmakā upadesh karegā.. 3.. āge is ‘bodhapāhuḍ’ men gyārah sthal bāndhe hain unake nām kahate hainḥ––

āyadaṇan chediharan jiṇapaḍimā dansaṇan cha jiṇabimban.
bhaṇiyan suvīyarāyan jiṇamudrā ṇāṇamādatthan.. 3..
arahanteṇ sudiṭṭhan jan devan titthamih ya arahantan.
pāvajjaguṇavisuddhā iy ṇāyavvā jahākamaso.. 4..
āyatanan chaityagr̥uhan jinapratimā darshanan cha jinabimbam.
bhaṇitan suvītarāgan jinamudrā gnānamātmārtha

arhatā suddaṣhṭan yaḥ devaḥ tīrthamih cha arhan.

arthaḥ––1 – āyatan, 2– chaityagr̥uh, 3– jinapratimā, 4– darshan, 5– jinabimb. kaisā hain jinabimb? bhale prakār vītarāg hai, 6– jinamudrā rāg sahit nahīn hotī haim 7– gnān pad kaisā hai? ātmā hī hai artha arthāt prayojan jisamen, isaprakār sāt to ye nishchay, vīratāgadev ne kahe vaise tathā anukram se jānanā aur 8– dev, 9– tīrtha, 10– arahant tathā guṇase vishuddha 11– pravajyā, ye chār jo arahant bhagavānane kahe vaise is granthamen jānanā, isaprakār ye gyārah sthal hue.. 3–4.. bhāvārthaḥ––yahān̐ āshay isaprakār jānanā chāhiye ki––dharmamārgamen kāladoṣhase anek mat ho gaye hain tathā jainamatamen bhī bhed ho gaye hain, unamen āyatan ādi men viparyay (viparītapanā) huā hai, unakā paramārthabhūt sachchā svarūp to log jānate nahīn hain aur dharmake lobhī hokar jaisī bāhya pravr̥utti dekhate hain usamen hī pravartane lag jāte hain, unako sambodhane ke liye yah ‘bodhapāhuḍ’ banāyā hai. usamen āyatan ādi gyārah sthānoṅkā paramārthabhūt sachchā svarūp jaisā sarvagnadevane kahā hai vaisā kaheṅge, anukram se jaise nām kahen hain vaise hī anukramase inakā vyakhyān kareṅge so jānane yogya hai.. 3–4..

maṇavayaṇakāyadavvā āyattā1 jassa indiyā visayā.

arthaḥ
––jinamārga men sanyamasahit munirūp hai use ‘āyatan’ kahā hai. kaisā hai munirūp?
––jisake man–vachan–kāy dravyarūp hai ve, tathā pāñch indriyoṅke sparsha, ras, gandh, varṇa, shabda
ye viṣhay hain ve, ‘āyattā’ arthāt adhīn hain –vashībhūt haĩn. unake
(man–vachan–kāy aur pāñch
indriyoṅke viṣhay) sanyamī muni ādhīn nahīn hai, ve munike vashībhūt haĩn. aisā sanyamī hai vah
‘āyatan’ hai.. 5..

pañchamahavvayadhārī āyadaṇan maharisī bhaṇiyan.. 6..
madaḥ rāgaḥ dveṣhaḥ krodhaḥ lobhaḥ cha yasya āyattāḥ.
pañchamahāvratadhārī āyatanan maharṣhayo bhaṇitāḥ.. 6..

arthaḥ
––jin muni ke mad, rāg, dveṣh, moh, krodh, lobh aur chakārase māyā ādi ye
sab ‘āyattā’ nigrah ko prāpta ho gaye aur pān̐ch mahāvrat jo ahinsā, satya, achaurya, bahmacharya
tathā parigrahakā tyāg unakā dhārī ho, aisā mahāmuni r̥uṣhīshvar ‘āyatan’ kahā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––pahilī gāthā men to bāhya kā svarūp kahā thā. yahān̐ bāhya–ābhyāntar donon
prakār se sanyamī ho vah ‘āyatan’ hai isaprakār jānanā chāhiye.. 6..

āge phir kahate hainḥ––
siddhan jassa sadatthan visuddhajhāṇassa ṇāṇajuttassa.
siddhāyadaṇan siddhan muṇivaravasahassa muṇidatthan.. 7..
siddhan yasya sadarthan vishuddhadhyānasya gnānayuktasya.
siddhāyatanan siddhan munivaravr̥uṣhabhasya munitārtham.. 7..

arthaḥ
––jis muni ke sadartha arthāt samīchīn artha jo ‘shuddha ātmā’ so siddha ho gayā
ho vah siddhāyatan hai. kaisā hai muni? jisake vishuddha dhyān hai, dharmadhyānako sādh kar
shukladhyānako prāpta ho gayā hai; gnānasahit hai, kevalagnānako prāpta ho gayā hai. ghātiyākarmarūp
mal se rahit hai isaliye muniyommen ‘vr̥uṣhabh’ arthāt pradhān hai, jisane samasta padārtha jān liye
haĩn. isaprakār munipradhānako ‘siddhāyatan’ kahate haĩn.

āyatta jas mad–rodh–lobh–vimoh–rāg–virodh chhe,

munivaravr̥uṣhabh te maḷarahit siddhāyatan viditārtha chhe. 7.

bhāvārthaḥ––isaprakār tīn gāthā men ‘āyatan’ kā svarūp kahā. pahilī gāthā men to sanyamī sāmānyakā bāhyarūp pradhānatā se kahā. dūsarīmen antaraṅg–bāhya donoṅkī shuddhatārūp r̥uddhidhārī muni r̥uṣhīshvar kahā aur is tīsarī gāthāmen kevalagnānīko, jo muniyommen pradhān hai, ‘siddhāyatan’ kahā hai. yahān̐ isaprakār jānanā jo ‘āyatan’ arthāt jisamen base, nivās kare usako āyatan kahā hai, isaliye dharmapaddhatimen jo dharmātmā puruṣhake āshray karane yogya ho vah ‘dharmāyatan’ hai. isaprakār muni hī dharmake āyatan hain, anya koī bheṣhadhārī, pākhaṇḍī, (–rḥoṅgī) viṣhay–kaṣhāyommen āsakta, parigrahadhārī dharmake āyatan nahīn hain, tathā jain matamen bhī jo sūtraviruddha pravartate hain ve bhī āyatan nahīn hain, ve sab ‘anāyatan’ haĩn. bauddhamatamen pān̐ch indriy, unake pān̐ch viṣhay, ek man, ek dharmāyatan sharīr aise bārah āyatan kahe hain ve bhī kalpit hain, isaliye jaisā yahān̐ āyatan kahā vaisā hī jānanā; dharmātmā ko usī kā āshray karanā, anyakī stuti, prashansā, vinayādik na karanā, yah bodhapāhuḍ grantha karane kā āshay hai. jisamen isaprakār ke nirgranntha muni rahate hain aise kṣhetrako bhī ‘āyatan’ kahate hain, jo vyavahār hai.. 7..

[2] āge chaityagr̥uh kā nirūpaṇ karate hainḥ––
buddhan jan bohanto appāṇan chedayāin aṇṇan cha.
pañchamahavvay suddhan ṇāṇamayan jāṇ chediharan.. 8..
buddhan yat bodhayan ātmānan chaityāni anyat cha.
pañchamahāvratashuddhan gnānamayan jānīhi chaityagr̥uham.. 8..

arthaḥ
––jo muni ‘baddha’ arthāt gnānamayī ātmāko jānatā ho, anya jīvoṅko ‘chaitya’
arthāt chetanā svarūp jānatā ho, āp gnānamayī ho aur pān̐ch mahāvratahose shuddha ho, nirmal ho,
us muniko he bhavya! tū ‘chaityagr̥uh’ jāna.

bhāvārthaḥ–– jisamen apaneko aur dūsare ko jānanevālā gnānī, niṣhpāp–nirmal isaprakār
‘chaitya’ arthāt chetanāsvarūp ātmā rahatā hai, vah ‘chaityagr̥uh’ hai. isaprakār kā chaityagr̥uh sanyamī
muni hai, anya pāṣhāṇ ādike mandirako ‘chaityagr̥uh’ kahanā vyavahār hai.. 8..

––jisake bandh aur mokṣha, sukh aur duḥkh ho us ātmāko chaitya kahate hain–arthāt
ye chinha jisake svarūpamen hon use ‘chaitya’ kahate hain, kyoṅki jo chaitanyasvarūp ho usī ke bandh,
mokṣha, sukh, duḥkh sambhav hai. isaprakār chaitya kā jo gr̥uh ho vah ‘chaityagr̥uh’ hai. jinamārga men
isaprakār chaityagr̥uh chhahakāyakā hit karanevālā hotā hai. vah isaprakār kā ‘muni’ hai. pān̐ch
sthāvar aur trasamen vikalatray aur asainī pan̐chendriy tak keval rakṣhā hī karane yogya hain,
isaliye unakī rakṣhā karane kā upadesh karatā hai, tathā āp unakā ghāt nahīn karatā hai yahī
unakā hit hai; aur sainī pan̐chendriy jīv hain unakī rakṣhā bhī karatā hai, rakṣhākā upadesh bhī
karatā hai tathā unako sansār se nivr̥uttirūp mokṣha prāpta karane kā upadesh karate haĩn. isaprakār
munirāj ko ‘chaityagr̥uh’ kahate haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––laukik jan chaityagr̥uh kā svarūp anyathā anek prakār mānate hain unako
sāvadhān kiyā hai ki––jinasūtra men chhahakāyakā hit karane vālā gnānamayī sanyamī muni hai vah
‘chaityagr̥uh’ hai; anyako chaityagr̥uh kahanā, mānanā vyavahār hai. isaprakār chaityagr̥uhakā svarūp kahā..

arthaḥ
––jinakā chāritra, darshan–gnānase shuddha nirmal hai, unakī sva–parā arthāt apanī
aur parakī chalatī huī deh hai, vah jinamārga men ‘jaṅgam pratimā’ hai; athavā svaparā arthāt
ātmāse ‘par’ yānī bhinna hai aisī deh hai. vah kaisī hai? jisakā nirgrantha svarūp hai, kuchh bhī
parigrah kā lesh bhī nahīn hai aisī digambar mudrā hai. jisakā vītarāg svarūp hai, kisī vastuse
rāg–dveṣh–moh nahīn hai, jinamārga men aisī ‘pratimā’ kahī haĩn. jinake darshan–gnān se nirmal
chāritra pāyā jātā hai, isaprakār muniyoṅkī guru–shiṣhya apekṣhā apanī tathā parakī chalatī huī
deh nirgrantha vītarāgamudrā svarūp hai, vah jinamārga men ‘pratimā’ hain anya kalpit hai aur ghātu–
pāṣhāṇ ādise banāye hue digambar mudrā svarūp ko ‘pratimā’ kahate hain jo vyavahār hai. vah bhī
bāhya ākr̥uti to vaisī hī ho vah vyavahār men mānya hai.. 10..

āge phir kahate hainḥ––
jan charadi suddhacharaṇan jāṇai pichchhei suddhasammattan.
sā hoī vandaṇīyā ṇigganthā sañjadā paḍimā.. 11..
yaḥ charati shuddhacharaṇan jānāti pashyati shuddhasamyaktvam.
sā bhavati vandanīyā nirgranthā sanyatā pratimā.. 11..

arthaḥ
––jo shuddha ācharaṇ kā ācharaṇ karate hain tathā samyaggnānase yathārtha vastuko jānate
hain aur samyagdarshanase apane svarūpako dekhate hain isaprakār shuddhasamyaktva jinake pāyā jātā hai
aisī nirgrantha sanyamasvarūp pratimā hai vah vandan karane yogya hai.

dansaṇaaṇantaṇāṇan aṇantavīriy aṇantasukkhā ya.
sāsayasukkha adehā mukkā kammaṭṭhabandhehĩn.. 12..
niruvamamachalamakhohā ṇimmiviyā jaṅgameṇ rūveṇa.
siddhaṭhṭhāṇammi ṭhiyā vosarapaḍimā dhuvā siddhā.. 13..
darshanānantagnānan anantavīryāḥ anantasukhāḥ cha.

arthaḥ
––jo anantadarshan, anantagnān, anantavīrya, anantasukh sahit hain; shāshvat avināshī
sukhasvarūp hain, adeh hain–karma nokarmarūp pudgalamayī deh jinake nahīn hai; aṣhṭakarma ke bandhanase
rahit hain, upamā rahit hain––jisakī upamā dī jāy aisī lok men vastu nahīn hai; achal hain––
pradeshoṅkā chalanā jinake nahīn hai; akṣhobh hain––jinake upayog men kuchh kṣhobh nahīn hai, nishchal
hain––jaṅgamarūp se nirmit hain; karmase nirmukta honeke bād ek samayamātra gamanarūp hain, isaliye
jaṅgamarūp se nirmāpit hain; siddhasthān jo lokakā agrabhāg usamen sthit hain; vyutsarga arthāt
kāyarahit hain––jaisā pūrva sharīr men akār thā vaisā hī pradeshoṅkā ākār–charam sharīr se kuchh
kam hai;

bodhapāhuḍ][109 dhurav hai––sansārase mukta ho (usī samay) ek samayamātra gaman kar lokake agrabhāg jākar sthit hojāte hain, phir chalāchal nahīn hote hain aisī pratimā ‘siddha bhagavān’ haĩn. bhāvārthaḥ––pahile do gāthāommen to jaṅgam pratimā sanyamī muniyoṅki deh sahit kahī. in do gāthāommen ‘ thirapratimā’ siddhoṅkī kahī, isaprakār jaṅgam thāvar pratimā kā svarūp kahā. anya kaī anyathā bahut prakārase kalpanā karate hain vah pratimā vandan karane yogya nahīn hai. yahān̐ prashnaḥ –––––yah to paramārtharūp kahā aur bāhya vyavahār men pāṣhāṇādik kī pratimā kī vandanā karate hain vah kaise? usakā samādhānaḥ ––jo bāhya vyavahār men matāntarake bhed se anek rīti pratimā kī pravr̥utti hai yahān̐ paramārtha ko pradhān kar kahā hai aur vyavahār hai vahān̐ jaisī pratimākā paramārtharūp ho usī ko sūchit karatā ho vah nirbādh hai. jaisā paramārtharūp ākār kahā vaisā hī ākārarūp vyavahār ho vah vyavahār bhī prashasta hai; vyavahārī jīvoṅke yah bhī vandan karane yogya hai. syādvād nyāyase siddha kiye gaye paramārtha aur vyavahār men virodh nahīn hai.. 12–13.. isaprakār jinapratimā kā svarūp kahā.

[4] āge darshan kā svarūp kahate hainḥ––
dansei mokkhamaggan sammattan sañjaman sudhamman cha.
ṇiggandhan ṇāṇamayan jiṇamagge dansaṇan bhaṇiyan.. 14..
darshayati mokṣhamārgan samyaktvan sanyaman sudharman cha.
nirgranthan gnānamayan jinamārge darshanan bhaṇitam.. 14..

arthaḥ
––jo mokṣha mārga ko dikhātā hai vah ‘darshan’ hai, mokṣhamārga kaisā hai?––samyaktva
arthāt tattvārthashraddhānalakṣhaṇ samyaktvasvarūp hai, sanyam arthāt chāritra–pañchamahāvrat, pañchasamiti,
tīn gupti aise terah prakār chāritrarūp hai, sudharma arthāt uttam–kṣhamādik dasalakṣhaṇ dharmarūp hai,
nirgrantharūp hai–bāhyābhyantar parigrah rahit hai,

darshāvatun sanyam–sudag–saddharmarūp, nirgranth ne

110] [aṣhṭapāhuḍ gnānamayī hai–––jīv ajīvādi padārthoṅko jānane vālā hai. yahān̐ ‘nirgrantha’ aur ‘gnānamayī’ ye do visheṣhaṇ darshan ke bhī hote hain, kyoṅki darshan hai so bāhya to isakī mūrti nirgrantha hai aur antaraṅg gnānamayī hai. isaprakār munike rūpako jināgam men ‘darshan’ kahā hai tathā aise rūpake shraddhānarūp samyaktvasvarūp ko ‘darshan’ kahate haĩn. bhāvārthaḥ––paramārtharūp ‘antaraṅg darshan’ to samyaktva hai aur ‘bāhya’ usakī mūrti, gnānasahit grahaṇ kiyā nirgrantha rūp, isaprakār munikā rūp hai so ‘darshan’ hai, kyoṅki matakī mūrtiko darshan kahanā lokamen prasiddha hai.. 14.. āge phir kahate hainḥ––

jah phullan gandhamayan bhavadi hu khīran sa dhiyamayan chāvi.
tah dansaṇan hi samman ṇāṇamayan hoi rūvatthan.. 15..
yathā puṣhpan gandhamayan bhavati sphuṭan kṣhīran tat ghr̥utamayan chāpi.
tathā darshanan hi samyak gnānamayan bhavati rūpastham.. 15..

arthaḥ
––jaise phūl gandhamayī hai, dūdh ghr̥utamayī hai vaise hī darshan arthāt mat men samyaktva hai.
kaisā hai darshan? antaraṅg men gnānamayī hai aur bāhya rūpastha hai––muni kā rūp hai tathā utkr̥uṣhṭa
shrāvak, arjikākā rūp hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––‘darshan’ nām kā mat prasiddha hai. yahān̐ jinadarshan men muni shrāvak aur
arjikākā jaisā bāhya bheṣh kahā so ‘darshan’ jānanā aur isakī shraddhā so ‘antaraṅg darshan’
jānanā. ye honon hī gnānamayī hain, yathārtha tattvārthakā jānanerūp samyaktva jisamen pāyā jātā hai,
isīliye phūlamen gandhakā aur dūdhamen ghr̥utakā dr̥uṣhṭānt yukta hai; isaprakār darshanakā rūp kahā.
anyamatamen tathā kāladoṣh se jinamatamen jainābhās bheṣhī anek prakār anyathā kahate hain jo
kalyāṇarūp nahīn hain, sansārakā kāraṇ hai.. 15..

[5] āge jinabimbakā nirūpaṇ karate hainḥ–––

jinabimban gnānamayan sanyamashuddhan suvītarāgan cha.
yat dadāti dīkṣhāshikṣhe karmakṣhayakāraṇe shuddhe.. 16..

arthaḥ
––jinabimb kaisā hai? gnānamayī hai, sanyamase shuddha hai, atishayakar vītarāg hai,
karmake kṣhayakā kāraṇ aur shuddha hai––isaprakār kī dīkṣhā aur shikṣhā detā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––jo ‘jin’ arthāt arahanta sarvagnakā pratibimb kahalātā hai; usakī jagah
usake jaisī hī mānane yogya ho isaprakār āchārya hain ve dīkṣhā arthāt vratakā grahaṇ aur shikṣhā
arthāt vidhān batānā, ye donon bhavya jīvoṅko dete haĩn. isaliye 1––pratham to vah āchārya
gnānamayī ho, jinasūtrakā unako gnān ho, gnān binā yathārtha dīkṣhā–shikṣhā kaise ho? aur 2–
–āp sanyam se shuddha ho, yadi isaprakār na ho to anya ko bhī sanyamase shuddha nahīn karā
sakate. 3––atishay–visheṣhatayā vītarāg na ho to kaṣhāyasahit ho, tab dīkṣhā, shikṣhā yathārtha
nahīn de sakate hain; ataḥ isaprakār āchārya ko jinakā pratibimba jānanā.. 16..

āge phir kahate hainḥ––
tassa ya karah paṇāman savvan pujjan cha viṇay vachchhallan.
jassa ya dansaṇ ṇāṇan atthi dhuvan cheyaṇābhāvo.. 17..
tasya cha kurut praṇāman sarvān pūjān cha vinayan vātsalyam.
yasya cha darshanañgnānan asti dhruvan chetanābhāvaḥ.. 17..

arthaḥ––isaprakār pūrvokta jinabimb ko praṇām karo aur sarvaprakār pūjā karo, vinay karo, vātsalya ko, kyoṅki – usake dhruv arthāt nishchayase darshan–gnān pāyā jātā hai aur chetanābhāv hai. bhāvārthaḥ––darshan–gnānamayī chetanābhāv sahit jinabimb āchārya hain, unako praṇāmādik karanā. yahān̐ paramārtha pradhān kahā hai, jaṛ pratibimb kī gauṇatā hai .. 17.. āge phir kahate hainḥ––

tavavayaguṇehin suddho jāṇadi pichchhei suddhasammattan.
arahantamudda esā dāyārī dikkhasikkhā ya.. 18..
tapovrataguṇaiḥ shuddhaḥ jānāti pashyati shuddhasamyaktvam.
arhanmudrā eṣhā dātrī dīkṣhāshikṣhāṇān cha.. 18..

arthaḥ
––jo tap, vrat aur guṇ arthāt uttar guṇonse shuddha hon, samyaggnān se padārthon ho
jānate hon, samyagdarshanase padārthoṅko dekhate hon isīliye jinake shuddha samyaktva hai isaprakār
jinabimb āchārya haĩn. yah dīkṣhā – shikṣhā kī denevālī arahant mudrā hai.
bhāvārthaḥ––isaprakār jinabimb hai vah jin mudrā hī hai––––aisā jinabimb kā svarūp
kahā hai.. 18..
[6] āge jinamudrā kā svarūp kahate hainḥ––
daḍhasañjamamudrāe indiyamudrā kasāyadiḍhamudrā.
mudrā ih ṇāṇāe jiṇamudrā erisā bhaṇiyā.. 19..
draḍhasanyamamudrayā indriyamudrā kaṣhāyadraḍhamudrā.
mudrā ih gnānen jinamudrā īdrashī bhaṇitā.. 19..

arthaḥ––dr̥urḥ arthāt vajravat chalāne par bhī na chale aisā sanyam indriy manakā vash karanā, ṣhaṭjīv nikāy kī rakṣhā karanā, isaprakār sanyamarūp mudrā se to pān̐ch indriyoṅko viṣhayon men na pravartānā, unakā saṅkoch karanā yah to indriyamudrā hai or isaprakār sanyam dvārā hī jisamen kaṣhāyoṅkī pravr̥utti nahīn hai aisī kaṣhāyadr̥urḥ mudrā hai, tathā gnānakā svarūp men lagānā, isaprakār gnān dvārā sab bāhyamudrā shuddha hotī hai. isaprakār jinashāsan men aisī ‘jinamudrā’ hotī hai. bhāvārthaḥ––1– jo sanyam sahit ho, 2–jinake indriyān̐ vash men hon, 3–kaṣhāyoṅkī pravr̥utti na hotī ho aur 4–gnānako svarūp men lagātā ho, aisā muni ho so hī ‘jinamudrā’ hai.. 19.. [7] āge gnān kā nirūpaṇ karate haĩn.

sañjamasañjuttassa ya sujhāṇajoyassa mokkhamaggassa.
ṇāṇeṇ lahadi lakkhan tamhā ṇāṇan cha ṇāyavvan.. 20..
sanyamasanyuktasya cha 1sudhyānayogyasya mokṣhamārgasya.
gnānen labhate lakṣhan tasmāt gnānan cha gnātavyam.. 20..

arthaḥ
––sanyam se sanyukta aur dhyān ke yogya isaprakār jo mokṣhamārga usakā lakṣhya
arthāt lakṣhaṇe yogya–jānaneyogya nishānā jo apanā nijasvarūp vah gnān dvārā pāyā jātā hai,
isaliye isaprakār ke lakṣhyako jānane ke gnān ko jānanā.

bhāvārthaḥ––sanyam aṅgīkār kar dhyān kare aur ātmākā svarūp na jāne to mokṣhamārga
kī siddhi nahīn hai, isaliye gnān kā svarūp jānanā chāhiye, usake jānane se sarva siddhi hai
..20..

āge isī ko dr̥uṣhṭānt dvārā dr̥urḥ karate hainḥ––

tah ṇavi lakkhadi lakkhan aṇṇāṇī mokkhamaggassa.. 21..
tathā nāpi labhate sphuṭan lakṣhan rahitaḥ kāṇḍasya 2vedhakavihīnaḥ.
tathā nāpi lakṣhayati lakṣhan agnānī mokṣhamārgasya.. 21..

arthaḥ––jaise vedhane vālā (vedhak) jo bāṇ, usase rahit aisā jo puruṣh hai vah kāṇḍ
arthāt dhanuṣhake abhyās se rahit ho to lakṣhya arthāt nishāneko nahīn pātā hai, vaise hī gnān se
rahit agnānī hai vah darshan–gnān–chāritrarūp jo mokṣhamārga usakā lakṣhya arthāt svalakṣhaṇ jānane
yogya paramātmā kā svarūp, usako nahīn prāpta kar sakatā.

bhāvārthaḥ––dhanuṣh dhārī dhanuṣh ke abhyās se rahit aur ‘vedhak’ jo bāṇ usase rahit
ho to nishāne ko nahīn prāpta kar sakatā, vaise hī gnān rahit agnānī mokṣhamārga kā nishānā
jo paramātmā kā svarūp hai usako na pahichāne tab mokṣhamārga kī siddhi nahīn hotī hai, isaliye
gnān ko jānanā chāhiye. paramātmārūp nishānā gnānarūpabāṇ dvārā vedhanā yogya hai.. 21..

āge kahate hain ki isaprakār gnān–vinayasanyukta puruṣh hove vahī mokṣhako prāpta karatā
haiḥ––
ṇāṇan purisassa havadi lahadi supuriso vi viṇayasañjutto.
ṇāṇeṇ lahadi lakkhan lakkhanto mokkhamaggassa.. 22..
gnānan puruṣhasya bhavati labhate supuruṣho‘pi vinayasanyuktaḥ.
gnānen labhate lakṣhyan lakṣhayan mokṣhamārgasya.. 22..

arthaḥ
––gnān puruṣhako hotā hai aur puruṣh hī vinayasanyukta ho so gnānako prāpta karatā
hai; jab gnānako prāpta karatā hai tab us gnān dvārā hī mokṣhamārga kā lakṣhya jo ’paramātmā
svarūp’ usako lakṣhatā–dekhatā–dhyān karatā huā us lakṣhyako prāpta karatā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––gnān puruṣhake hotā hai aur puruṣh hī vinayavān hove so gnānako prāpta karatā hai, us gnān dvārā hī shuddha ātmākā svarūp jānā jātā hai, isaliye visheṣh gnāniyon ke vinay dvārā gnān kī prāpti karanī–kyoṅki nij shuddha svarūpako jānakar mokṣha prāpta kiyā jātā hai. yahān̐ jo vinayarahit ho, yathārtha sūtrapadase chigā ho, bhraṣhṭa ho gayā ho usakā niṣhedh jānanā.. 22.. āge isī ko dr̥urḥ karate haiḥ––

maidhaṇuhan jassa thiran sudaguṇ bāṇā suatthi rayaṇattan.
paramattha baddhalakkho ṇavi chukkadi mokkhamaggassa.. 23..
matidhanuryasya sthiran shrutan guṇaḥ bāṇāḥ susanti ratnatrayan.
paramārthabaddhalakṣhyaḥ nāpi skhalati mokṣhamārgasya.. 23..

arthaḥ
––jis munike matignānarūp dhanuṣh sthir ho, shrutagnānarūp guṇ arthāt pratyañchā ho,
ratnatrayarūp uttam bāṇ ho aur paramārthasvarūp nijashuddhātmasvarūpakā sambandharūp lakṣhya ho, vah
muni mokṣhamārga ko nahīn chūkatā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––dhanuṣhakī sab sāmagrī yathāvat mile tab nishānā nahīn chūkatā hai, vaise hī
munike mokṣhamārgakī yathāvat sāmagrī mile tab mokṣhamārgase bhraṣhṭa nahīn hotā hai. usake sādhanase
mokṣhako prāpta hotā hai. yah gnān kā mahātmya hai, isaliye jināgamake anusār satyārtha
gnāniyoṅkā vinay karake gnānakā sādhan karanā.. 23..

isaprakār gnānakā nirūpaṇ kiyā.

[8] āge devakā svarūp kahate haiḥ––

mati chāp thir, shrut dorī, jene ratnatray shubh bāṇ chhe,
paramārtha jenun lakṣhya chhe, te mokṣhamārge nav chūke. 23.

so devo jo atthan dhamman kāman sudei ṇāṇan cha.
so dei jassa atthi hu attho dhammo ya pavvamajjā.. 24..
saḥ devaḥ yaḥ arthan dharman kāman sudadāti gnānan cha.
saḥ dadāti yasya asti tu arthaḥ dharmaḥ cha pravrajyā.. 24..

arthaḥ––dev usako kahate hain jo artha arthāt dhan, kām arthāt ichchhā kā viṣhay–aisā
bhog aur mokṣha kā kāraṇ gnān–in chāroṅko deve. yahān̐ nyāy aisā hai ki jo vastu jisake
pās ho so deve aur jisake pās na ho so kaise deve? is nyāy se artha, dharma, svargādike
bhog aur mokṣha sukh kā kāraṇ pravajyā arthāt dīkṣhā jisakā ho usako ‘dev’ jānanā.. 24..

āge dharmādi kā svarūp kahate hain, jinake jānane se devādi kā svarūp jānā jātā haiḥ–
––
dhammo dayāvisuddho pavvajjā savvasaṅgaparichattā.
devo vavagayamoho udayakaro bhavvajīvāṇan.. 25..
dharmaḥ dayāvishuddhaḥ pravrajyā sarvasaṅgaparityaktā.
devaḥ vyapagatamohaḥ udayakaraḥ bhavyajīvānām.. 25..

arthaḥ––jo dayā se vishuddha hai vah dharma hai, jo sarva parigrah se rahit hai vah pravajyā hai,
jisakā moh naṣhṭa ho gayā hai vah dev hai––yah bhavya jīvon ke uday ko karane vālā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––lok men yah prasiddha hai ki dharma, artha, kām aur mokṣha ye chār puruṣh ke
prayojan haĩn. unake liye puruṣh kisī kī vandanā karatā hai, pūjā karatā hai aur nyāy yah hai
ki jisake pās jo vastu ho vah dūsare ko deve, na ho to kahān̐ se lāve? isaliye yah chār
puruṣhārtha jin dev ke pāye jāte haĩn.

te dev, je surīte dharam ne artha, kām, sugnān de;
te vastu de chhe te ja, jene dharma–dīkṣhā–artha chhe. 24.

te dharma jeh dayāvimaḷ, dīkṣhā parigrahamukta je,
te dev je nirmoh chhe ne uday bhavya taṇo kare. 25.
