prabhāvanā ane vātsalyae samyaktvanān āṭh aṅg chhe. 1bhayano abhāv athavā tattvomān
sanshayano abhāv te niḥshaṅkitattva chhe. 2paradravya ādimān rāgarūp vāñchhāno abhāv
te niḥkāṅkṣhitattva chhe. 3paradravya ādimān dveṣharūp glānino abhāv te nirvichikitsatva chhe. 4

prashnaḥkeṭalāk samyagdraṣhṭi jīvone paṇ bhay, ichchhā ane glāni ādi hoy

he bhavya! tun sāmbhaḷ! have samādhimaraṇanun lakṣhaṇ varṇavavāmān āve chhe. samādhimaraṇ
nām *niḥkaṣhāyabhāvanun chhe, shānt pariṇāmonun chhe; bhedavignān sahit, kaṣhāyarahit shānti
pariṇāmapūrvak maraṇ thavun te samādhimaraṇ chhe. saṅkṣhiptapaṇe samādhimaraṇanun ā ja varṇan chhe.
visheṣh kathan āgaḷ karīe chhīe.
samyaggnānī jīvano e sahaj svabhāv ja chhe ke te samādhimaraṇanī ja ichchhā kare
chhe, tene hammeshān e ja bhāvanā rahe chhe. ant samaye maraṇ najadīk āvatān te evī rīte
sāvadhān thāy chhe jem te sūtelo sinh sāvadhān thāy chhe
ke jene koī manuṣhya paḍakāre chhe
ke, ‘‘he sinh! tārā upar dushmanonī senā ākramaṇanī taiyārī karī rahī chhe, tun puruṣhārtha kar
ane guphāmānthī bahār nīkaḷ. jyān sudhī dushmanonī senā dūr chhe tyān sudhīmān tun taiyār thaī
jā ane shatrunī senāne jītī le. mahān puruṣhonī e ja paddhati chhe ke te shatrunā jāgavā
pahelān ja taiyār rahe chhe.’’
te puruṣhanā āvā vachan sāmbhaḷīne sinh tarat ja uṭhyo ane teṇe evī garjanā karī
jāṇe ke aṣhāḍh māsamān megharājāe ja garjanā karī hoy.
mr̥utyune samīp jāṇīne samyaggnānī puruṣh sinhanī jem sāvadhān thāy chhe ane
kāyaratāno dūrathī ja tyāg kare chhe.
samyagdraṣhṭi kevo chhe?
tenā hr̥udayamān ātmānun svarūp dedīpyamān pragaṭapaṇe pratibhāse chhe. te gnānajyotithī
ānandarasathī paripūrṇa chhe. te potāne sākṣhāt puruṣhākār, amūrtik, chaitanyadhātuno piṇḍ, anant

ahīn yathāsambhav ānand chhe. tamane chidānandaghananā anubhavathī sahajānandanī vr̥uddhi chāhun chhun.
bījun, tamāro ek patra bhāīshrī rāmasiṅghajī bhuvānīdāsajīne āvyo hato. tenā
samāchār jahānābādathī anya svadharmīoe lakhyā hatā.
bhāīshrī! āvā prashna tamārā jevā ja lakhe. ā vartamānakāḷamān adhyātmarasanā rasik
jīvo bahu ja thoḍā chhe. dhanya chhe temane je svānubhavanī vārtā paṇ kare chhe. e ja vāt kahe
chhe keḥ
तत्प्रति प्रीतिचित्तेन येन वार्तापि हि श्रुता
निश्चितं स भवेद्भव्यो भाविनिर्वाणभाजनम् ।।

arthaḥje jīve prasannachittathī ā chaitanyasvarūp ātmānī vāt ja sāmbhaḷī chhe te
bhavyapuruṣh bhaviṣhyamān thanārī muktino nishchayathī pātra thāy chhe, arthāt te jarūr mokṣhamān
jāy chhe.
bhāīshrī! tame je prashno lakhyā tenā uttar mārī buddhi anusār kanīk lakhun chhun te
jāṇasho. ane adhyātma āgamano charchāgarbhit patra to shīghra shīghra āpyā karasho. meḷāp to
kadī thavo hashe tyāre thashe, ane nirantar svarūpānubhavano abhyās rākhashojī. shrīrastu.
have, svānubhavadashā viṣhe pratyakṣhaparokṣhādik prashnonā uttar svabuddhi anusār lakhun
chhun
temān pratham ja svānubhavanun svarūp, jāṇavā arthe lakhun chhunḥ
jīv [nāmano chetan] padārtha anādi [kāḷ]thī mithyādraṣhṭi chhe; tyān svaparanā
yathārtharūpathī viparīt shraddhānanun nām mithyātva chhe. vaḷī je kāḷe koī jīvane darshanamohanā

vaḷī jo svaparanun shraddhān nathī ane jainamatamān kahelā dev, guru ane dharma e traṇene
māne chhe tathā sāt tattvone māne chhe, anya matamān kahelān devādi vā tattvādine mānato nathī
to evā kevaḷ vyavahārasamyaktvavaḍe te samyaktvī nāmane pāme nahi, māṭe sva

bhedavignānapūrvak je tattvārthashraddhān hoy te samyaktva jāṇavun.
vaḷī evā samyaktvī thatānnī sāthe, je gnān [pūrve] pāñch indriy tathā chhaṭhṭhā man dvārā
kṣhayopashamarūp mithyātvadashāmān kumati, kushrutarūp thaī rahyun hatun te ja gnān have matishrutarūp
samyaggnān thayun. samyagdraṣhṭi je kāī jāṇe te sarva jāṇavun samyaggnānarūp chhe.
e [samyagdraṣhṭi] jo kadāchit ghaṭapaṭādi padārthone ayathārtha paṇ jāṇe to te
āvaraṇajanit audayik agnānabhāv chhe; ane kṣhayopashamarūp pragaṭ gnān chhe te to sarva
samyaggnān ja chhe, kemake jāṇavāmān padārthone viparītarūpe sādhatun nathī, māṭe te samyaggnān
kevaḷagnānano ansh chhe. jem thoḍuṅk meghapaṭal (
vādaḷ) vilay thatān je kāī prakāsh pragaṭe chhe
te sarva prakāshano ansh chhe.
je gnān matishrutarūp thaī pravarte chhe te ja gnān vadhatun vadhatun kevalagnānarūp thāy chhe,
tethī samyaggnānanī apekṣhāe to jāti ek chhe.
vaḷī e samyagdraṣhṭinā pariṇām savikalpa tathā nirvikalparūp thaī be prakāre pravarte chhe.
tyān je pariṇām viṣhaykaṣhāyādirūp vā pūjādānshāstrābhyāsādikarūp pravarte chhe te
savikalparūp jāṇavā.
prashnaḥjyān shubhashubharūp pariṇamato hoy tyān samyaktvanun
astitva kevī rīte hoy?
samādhānaḥjem koī gumāsto sheṭhanā kāryamān pravarte chhe, te kāryane potānun kārya
paṇ kahe chhe, harṣhaviṣhādane paṇ pāme chhe, e kāryamān pravartatān te potānī ane sheṭhanī
āpasamān judāī paṇ vichārato nathī, parantu tene evun antaraṅg shraddhān chhe ke ‘ā mārun kām
nathī.’ e pramāṇe kārya karanār te gumāsto shāhukār chhe; paṇ te sheṭhanā dhanane chorī tene
potānun māne to te gumāsto chor ja kahevāy; tene karmodayajanit shubhāshubharūp kāryano kartā
thaī tadrūp pariṇame, topaṇ tene evā prakāranun antaraṅg shraddhān chhe ke ‘ā kārya mārān nathī.’
jo dehāshrit vrat
sanyamane paṇ potānān māne (arthāt potāne teno kartā māne) to te
mithyādraṣhṭi thāy. āvī rīte savikalpa pariṇām hoy chhe.

have savikalpadvārā ja nirvikalpa pariṇām thavānun vidhān kahīe chhīeḥ
te samyagdraṣhṭi kadāchit svarūpadhyān karavāno udyamī thāy chhe tyān pratham svaparanun
bhedavignān (vivek) kare; nokarma, bhāvakarmarahit kevaḷ chaitanyachamatkāramātra potānun svarūp jāṇe,
pachhī parano vichār paṇ chhūṭī jāy, ane keval svātmavichār ja rahe chhe; tyān nijasvarūpamān
anek prakāranī ahambuddhi dhāre chhe, ‘hun chidānand chhun, shuddha chhun, siddha chhun,’ ityādi vichār thatān
sahaj ja ānandataraṅg ūṭhe chhe, romāñch (ullasit) thāy chhe, tyār pachhī evā vichāro to chhūṭī
jāy, keval chinmātrasvarūp bhāsavā lāge; tyān sarva pariṇām te svarūp viṣhe ekāgra thaī pravarte
chhe. darshan
gnānādikanā vā naypramāṇādikanā vichār (vikalpa) paṇ vilay thaī jāy.
savikalpa vaḍe je chaitanyasvarūpano nishchay karyo hato temān ja vyāpyavyāpakarūp thaī evo
pravarte chhe ke jyān dhyātādhyeyapaṇun dūr thaī jāy. evī dashānun nām nirvikalpa anubhav chhe. moṭā
nayachakra granthamān em ja kahyun chheḥ
तच्चाणेसणकाले समयं बुज्झेहि जुत्तिमग्गेण
णो आराहणसमये पच्चक्खोअणुहवो जह्मा ।।२६६।।
arthaḥtattvanā avalokan (anveṣhaṇ) samaye arthāt shuddhātmāne yukti arthāt nay
pramāṇavaḍe pahelān jāṇe, pachhī ārādhan samay je anubhavakāḷ chhe temān naypramāṇ chhe nahi,
kāraṇ ke pratyakṣha anubhav chhe.
jem ratnanī kharīd vakhate anek vikalpa kare chhe paṇ jyāre te ratna pratyakṣha paheravāmān
āve chhe tyāre vikalpa hoto nathī, paheravānun sukh ja chhe. e pramāṇe savikalpa dvārā nirvikalpa
anubhav thāy chhe.
vaḷī je gnān pāñch indriy ane chhaṭhṭhā man dvārā pravartatun hatun te gnān sarva bājuthī
sameṭāī ā nirvikalpa anubhavamān keval svarūpasanmukh thayun; kāraṇ ke te gnān kṣhayopashamarūp
chhe tethī ek kāḷamān ek gneyane ja jāṇe chhe, te gnān svarūp jāṇavāne pravartyun tyāre anyane
jāṇavānun sahej ja bandh thayun. tyān evī dashā thaī ke bāhya anek shabdādik vikār hovā
chhatān paṇ svarūpadhyānīne tenī kāī khabar nathī.
e pramāṇe matignān paṇ svarūpasanmukh thayun.
vaḷī nayādikanā vichāro maṭavāthī shrutagnān paṇ svarūpasanmukh thayun.
evun varṇan samayasāranī ṭīkāātmakhyātimān chhe tathā ātmaavalokanādimān chhe,
eṭalā māṭe ja nirvikalpa anubhavane atīndriy kahīe chhīe; kāraṇ ke indriyono dharma to
e chhe ke sparsha, ras, gandh, varṇane jāṇe, te ahīn nathī ane manano dharma e chhe ke te anek
vikalpa kare, te paṇ ahīn nathī; tethī je gnān indriyo tathā manamān pravartatun hatun te ja gnān
have anubhavamān pravarte chhe, tathāpi ā gnānane atīndriy kahīe chhīe.

vaḷī ā svānubhavane man dvārā thayo em paṇ kahīe chhīe kemake ā anubhavamān
matignānshrutagnān ja chhe. anya koī gnān nathī.
matishrutagnān indriy tathā mananā avalamban vinā hotun nathī paṇ ahīn indriyano
to abhāv ja chhe, kāraṇ ke indriyano viṣhay mūrtik padārtha ja chhe. vaḷī ahīn managnān chhe,
kāraṇ manano viṣhay amūrtik padārtha paṇ chhe, tethī ahīn man sambandhī pariṇām svarūp viṣhe
ekāgra thaī anya chintāno nirodh kare chhe tethī tene man dvārā thayun em kahīe chhīe.
‘एकाग्रचिन्तानिरोधो ध्यानम्’ (mokṣhashāstra a. 8, sūtra 27) evun dhyānanun paṇ lakṣhaṇ evī
anubhavadashāmān sambhave chhe.
vaḷī samayasārnāṭakanā kavitamān kahyun chhe keḥ
वस्तु विचारत ध्यावतैं, मन पावै विश्राम
रस स्वादत सुख ऊपजै, अनुभव याकौ नाम ।।
e pramāṇe man vinā judā ja pariṇām svarūpamān pravartatā nathī, tethī svānubhavane
manajanit paṇ kahīe chhīe, tethī tene atīndriy kahevāmān ane manajanit kahevāmān kāī
virodh nathī; vivakṣhābhed chhe.
vaḷī tame lakhyun ke ‘ātmā atīndriy chhe tethī atīndriyavaḍe ja grāhya thaī shake’, to
bhāīshrī! man amūrttik (padārtha)ne paṇ grahaṇ kare chhe kāraṇ ke matishrutagnānano viṣhay sarva
dravyo kahyān chhe. tattvārthasūtramān kahyun ke
मतिश्रुतयोर्निबन्धो द्रव्येष्वसर्वपर्यायेषु ।।२६।।
vaḷī tame pratyakṣhaparokṣhano prashna lakhyo. paṇ bhāīshrī! samyaktvamān to pratyakṣha
parokṣhanā bhed nathī. chothā guṇasthāne siddha samān kṣhāyikasamyaktva thaī jāy chhe, tethī samyaktva
to mātra yathārtha shraddhānarūp ja chhe te (jīv) shubh
ashubh kārya karato paṇ rahe chhe. (tethī
kāī yathārtha padārthashraddhān na hoy em hotun nathī;) tethī tame je lakhyun hatun ke ‘nishchayasamyaktva
pratyakṣha chhe ane vyavahārasamyaktva parokṣha chhe,’ te em nathī. samyaktvanā to traṇ bhed chhe.
temān upashamasamyaktva ane kṣhāyikasamyaktva to nirmaḷ chhe kemake te mithyātvanā uday rahit
chhe, tathā kṣhayopashamasamyaktva samaḷ chhe, kemake samyaktvamohanīyanā uday sahit chhe, paṇ ā
samyaktvamān pratyakṣha
parokṣhanā koī bhed to chhe nahi.
shubhāshubharūp pravartatā vā svānubhavarūp pravartatā kṣhāyik samyaktvīne samyaktvaguṇ to
samān ja chhe, tethī samyaktvanā to pratyakṣhaparokṣha bhed na mānavā.
paṇ pramāṇanā pratyakṣhaparokṣharūp be bhed chhe. e pramāṇ samyaggnān chhe, tethī

matignānshrutagnān to parokṣha pramāṇ chhe; avadhi, manaḥparyay ane kevalagnān pratyakṣha pramāṇ
chhe. yathāḥ‘‘आद्ये परोक्षं, प्रत्यक्षमन्यत्’’ (तत्त्वार्थ सूत्र अ. १, सू. १११२) evun sūtranun vachan
chhe. tem ja tarkashāstramān pratyakṣhaparokṣhanun āvun lakṣhaṇ kahyun chheḥ‘‘स्पष्टप्रतिभासात्मकं प्रत्यक्षमस्पष्टं
परोक्षम्’’।
je gnān potānā viṣhayane sārī rīte nirmaḷarūpe spaṣhṭa jāṇe te pratyakṣha chhe, ane je
gnān sārī rīte spaṣhṭa na jāṇe te parokṣha chhe; tyān matignānshrutagnānanā viṣhay to ghaṇā chhe
parantu ek paṇ gneyane sampūrṇa jāṇī shakatān nathī tethī te parokṣha chhe. avadhimanaḥparyāyagnānano
viṣhay thoḍo chhe tathāpi te potānā viṣhayane spaṣhṭa sārī rīte jāṇe chhe tethī te ekadeshapratyakṣha
chhe, ane kevaḷagnān sarva gneyane pote spaṣhṭa jāṇe chhe tethī sarvapratyakṣha chhe.
vaḷī pratyakṣhanā be bhed chheek paramārtha pratyakṣha ane bījo sāmvyavahārik pratyakṣha.
avadhi, manaḥparyay ane kevaḷagnān to spaṣhṭa pratibhāsarūp chhe ja tethī pāramārthik pratyakṣha chhe,
ane netrādivaḍe varṇādine jāṇe chhe, tyān vyavahārathī evun kahevāmān āve chhe ke ‘teṇe varṇādik
pratyakṣha jāṇyā,’ ekadesh nirmaḷatā paṇ hoy chhe tethī tene sāmvyavahārik pratyakṣha kahe chhe; parantu
jo ek vastumān anek mishra varṇa chhe te netra dvārā sārī rīte grahyā jatā nathī tethī tene
paramārtha pratyakṣha kahevāmān āvatun nathī.
vaḷī parokṣha pramāṇanā pāñch bhed chheḥsmr̥uti, pratyabhignān, tarka, anumān ane
āgam. tenun svarūpaḥ1. pūrve jāṇelī vastune yād karīne jāṇavī tene smr̥uti kahe chhe,
2. draṣhṭāntavaḍe vastuno nishchay karīe tene pratyabhignān kahe chhe, 3. hetunā vichārayukta je gnān
tene tarka kahe chhe, 4. hetuthī sādhya vastunun je gnān tene anumān kahe chhe, tathā 5. āgamathī
je gnān thāy tene āgam kahe chhe.
e pramāṇe pratyakṣhaparokṣha pramāṇanā bhed kahyā chhe.
tyān ā svānubhavadashāmān ātmāne jāṇīe te shrutagnānavaḍe jāṇavāmān āve chhe. shrutagnān
matignānapūrvak ja chhe, te matignānshrutagnān parokṣha kahel chhe tethī tyān ātmānun jāṇavun pratyakṣha
hotun nathī. vaḷī avadhimanaḥparyayano viṣhay rūpī padārtho ja chhe; tathā kevaḷagnān chhadmasthane chhe
nahi, tethī anubhavamān kevaḷagnān vā avadhimanaḥparyayavaḍe ātmānun jāṇavun nathī. vaḷī ahīn
ātmāne spaṣhṭa sārī rīte jāṇato nathī tethī pāramārthik pratyakṣhapaṇun to sambhavatun nathī.
tathā jem netrādivaḍe varṇādik jāṇavāmān āve chhe tem ekadesh nirmaḷatāsahit paṇ
ātmānā asaṅkhyāt pradeshādi jāṇavāmān āvatā nathī tethī sāmvyavahārik pratyakṣhapaṇun paṇ
sambhavatun nathī.
ahīn to āgamanumānādik parokṣha gnānavaḍe ātmāno anubhav hoy chhe.

jaināgamamān jevun ātmānun svarūp kahyun chhe tene tevun jāṇī temān pariṇāmone magna kare chhe tethī
tene āgam parokṣhapramāṇ kahīe, athavā ‘‘hun ātmā ja chhun kemake mārāmān gnān chhe, jyān
jyān gnān tyān tyān ātmā chhe, jem keḥ
siddhādik. vaḷī jyān ātmā nahi tyān gnān paṇ
nahi jem keḥmr̥utak klevarādik.’’ e pramāṇe anumānavaḍe vastuno nishchay karīne temān
pariṇāmone magna kare chhe, tethī tene anumān parokṣhapramāṇ kahīe, athavā āgam
anumānādivaḍe je vastu jāṇavāmān āvī tene yād rākhīne temān pariṇāmone magna kare chhe
tethī tene smr̥uti kahīe. ityādi prakārathī svānubhavamān parokṣhapramāṇ vaḍe ja ātmānun jāṇavun
hoy chhe, tyān pratham jāṇavun thāy chhe, pachhī je svarūp jāṇyun temān ja pariṇām magna thāy
chhe, pariṇām magna thatān kāī visheṣh jāṇapaṇun hotun nathī.
prashnaḥjo savikalpanirvikalpamān jāṇavānī visheṣhatā nathī to
adhik ānand kem thāy?
samādhānaḥsavikalpadashāmān gnān anek gneyone jāṇavārūpe pravartatun hatun, nirvikalpa-
dashāmān mātra ātmāne ja jāṇavāmān pravarte chhe, ek to e visheṣhatā chhe; bījī e visheṣhatā
chhe ke je pariṇām vividh vikalpamān pariṇamatā hatā te mātra svarūpamān ja tādātmyarūp thaī
pravartyā, bījī e visheṣhatā thaī.
evī visheṣhatāo thatān koī vachanātīt evo apūrva ānand thāy chhe ke viṣhayasevanamān
tenī jātino ansh paṇ nathī, tethī e ānandane atīndriy kahe chhe.
prashnaḥanubhavamān paṇ ātmā parokṣha ja chhe to granthomān anubhavane
pratyakṣha kem kahyo chhe? uparanī gāthāmān ja kahyun chhe keḥ‘‘पच्चक्खो अणुहवो
जम्हा’’ te kem chhe?
samādhānaḥanubhavamān ātmā to parokṣha ja chhe, kāī ātmānā pradeshano ākār
to bhāsato nathī, parantu svarūpamān pariṇām magna thatān je svānubhav thayo te svānubhav pratyakṣha
chhe. svānubhavano svād kāī āgam
anumānādik parokṣha pramāṇādivaḍe jaṇāto nathī. pote ja
anubhavanā rasāsvādane vede chhe. jem koī andh manuṣhya sākarano āsvād kare chhe, tyān sākaranān
ākārādi to parokṣha chhe, paṇ jībhavaḍe je svād līdho te svād pratyakṣha chhe, em svānubhavamān
ātmā parokṣha chhe, je pariṇāmathī svād āvyo te svād pratyakṣha chhe
em jāṇavun.
athavā je pratyakṣha jevun hoy tene paṇ pratyakṣha kahīe chhīe. jem lokomān kahīe chhīe
ke‘ame svapnāmān vā dhyānamān phalāṇā puruṣhane pratyakṣha dīṭho;’ tyān tene pratyakṣha dīṭho nathī,
parantu pratyakṣha māphak pratyakṣhavat (te puruṣhane) yathārtha dekhyo tethī tene pratyakṣha kahīe; tem

anubhavamān ātmā pratyakṣhanī māphak yathārtha pratibhāse chhe, tethī ā nyāye ātmānun paṇ pratyakṣha
jāṇavun hoy chhe em kahīe to doṣh nathī. kathan to anek prakāranān hoy chhe; te sarva āgam
adhyātmashāstrothī jem virodh na āve tem vivakṣhābhedavaḍe jāṇavān.
prashnaḥevo anubhav kayā guṇasthānamān thāy chhe?
samādhānaḥchothā guṇasthānathī ja thāy chhe. parantu chothāmān to ghaṇā kāḷanān
antarālathī thāy chhe ane uparanā guṇasthānomān shīghra shīghra thāy chhe.
prashnaḥanubhav to nirvikalpa chhe, tyān uparanā ane nīchenā guṇ-
sthānomān bhed sho?
uttaraḥpariṇāmonī magnatāmān visheṣh chhe; jem be puruṣh nām le chhe ane bannenā
pariṇām nām viṣhe chhe; tyān ekane to magnatā visheṣh chhe tathā bījāne thoḍī chhe, tem āmān
paṇ jāṇavun.
prashnaḥjo nirvikalpa anubhavamān koī vikalpa nathī to shukladhyānano
pratham bhed (je) pr̥uthaktvavitarkavichār kahyo chhe, temān ‘pr̥uthaktvavitarka’
nānāprakāranā shrutano ‘vichār’arthavyañjanyogsaṅkramaṇem kem kahyun?
uttaraḥkathan be prakāre hoy chheḥ ek sthūḷarūp chhe ane bījun sūkṣhmarūp chhe.
jem sthūḷarūpe to chhaṭhṭhā guṇasthānamān sampūrṇa brahmacharyavrat kahyun, paṇ sūkṣhmatāe navamā guṇasthān
sudhī maithunasañgnā kahī; tem ahīn anubhavamān nirvikalpatā sthūḷarūpe kahī chhe. tathā sūkṣhmatāthī
pr̥uthaktvavitarkavichārādi bhed vā kaṣhāyādik dashamā guṇasthān sudhī kahyān chhe tyān potānā tathā
anyanā jāṇavāmān āvī shake evā bhāvanun kathan sthūḷ jāṇavun, ane je pote paṇ na
jāṇī shake, (mātra) kevaḷī bhagavān ja jāṇī shake evā bhāvonun kathan sūkṣhma jāṇavun.
charaṇānuyogaādimān sthūḷ kathananī mukhyatā chhe ane karaṇānuyogamān sūkṣhma kathananī mukhyatā chhe,
evā bhed anya ṭhekāṇe paṇ jāṇavā.
e pramāṇe nirvikalpa anubhavanun svarūp jāṇavun.
vaḷī bhāīshrī! tame traṇ draṣhṭānt lakhyān athavā draṣhṭānt dvārā prashna lakhyā, paṇ draṣhṭānt
sarvāṅg maḷatān āve nahi. draṣhṭānt chhe te ek prayojan darshāve chhe. ahīn bījano chandra,
jaḷabindu, agnikaṇ

apekṣhāe ek jāti chhe. chothā guṇasthānavāḷāne matishrutarūp samyaggnān chhe, ane teramā
guṇasthānavāḷāne kevaḷarūp samyaggnān chhe. vaḷī ekadesh sarvadeshanun antar to eṭalun ja chhe ke

shrutagnānavāḷā amūrtik vastune apratyakṣha ane mūrtik vastune paṇ pratyakṣha vā apratyakṣha,
kiñchit, anukramathī jāṇe chhe tathā kevaḷagnānī sarva vastune sarvathā yugapat jāṇe chhe. prathamano
parokṣharūpe jāṇe chhe ane bījo pratyakṣharūpe jāṇe chhe, eṭalo ja temān visheṣh (bhed) chhe, vaḷī
jo sarvathā (e banne gnānanī) ek ja jāti kahīe to jem kevaḷagnānī yugapat pratyakṣha
aprayojanarūp gneyane nirvikalparūpe jāṇe chhe tem e (mati-shrutasamyaggnānī) paṇ jāṇe, paṇ
em to nathī, tethī pratyakṣha
parokṣhano visheṣh (bhed) jāṇavo. kahyun chhe keḥ
स्याद्वादकेवलज्ञाने सर्वतत्त्वप्रकाशने
भेदः साक्षादसाक्षाच्च ह्यवस्त्वन्यतमं भवेत् ।।

nathī.
vaḷī tame nishchay samyaktvanun ane vyavahārasamyaktvanun svarūp lakhyun te satya chhe. parantu
eṭalun jāṇavun ke samyaktvīne vyavahārasamyaktvamān vā anya kāḷamān antaraṅg nishchayasamyaktva
garbhit chhe, nirantar gaman (pariṇaman) rūp rahe chhe.
vaḷī tame lakhyun ke koī sādharmī kahe chhe keḥātmāne pratyakṣha jāṇe to
karmavargaṇāone pratyakṣha kem na jāṇe?
e ja kahyun chhe ke ātmāne pratyakṣha to kevaḷī ja jāṇe chhe, karmavargaṇāne avadhignān
paṇ jāṇe chhe.
vaḷī tame lakhyun chhe ke ‘bījanā chandranī jem ātmānā pradesh thoḍā khullā chhe em

uttaraḥe draṣhṭānt pradeshanī apekṣhāe nathī paṇ guṇanī apekṣhāe chhe.
e pramāṇe samyaktvī sambandhī tathā anubhav sambandhī pratyakṣhaapratyakṣhādikanā je prashno
tame lakhyā hatā teno pratyuttar mārī buddhi anusār lakhyo chhe. tame paṇ jinavāṇīthī tathā
potānī pariṇatithī meḷavī lesho.
ane bhāīshrī, visheṣh kyān sudhī lakhīe? je vāt jāṇavāmān āve te lakhavāmān āvī
shake nahi. maḷyethī kanīk kahī shakāy; parantu maḷavun karmādhīn chhe. māṭe sārun to e chhe ke
chaitanyasvarūpanā anubhavanā udyamī rahevun.
vartamānakāḷamān adhyātmatattva to ātmakhyātisamayasār granthanī shrī amr̥utachandra
āchāryakr̥ut ṭīkāmān chhe ane āgamanī charchā gommaṭasāramān chhe tathā bījā paṇ anya granthomān
chhe.
je jāṇī chhe te sarva lakhavāmān āve nahi; tethī tame paṇ adhyātma tathā āgamagranthono
abhyās rākhajo ane svarūpānandamān magna rahejo.
vaḷī tame koī visheṣh granth jāṇyā hoy to mane lakhī mokalajo; svadharmīne to paraspar
(dharma) charchā ja joīe; vaḷī mārī to eṭalī buddhi chhe nahi, parantu tamārā jevā bhāīothī
paraspar vichār chhe, te moṭī vāt chhe.
jyān sudhī maḷavun thāy nahi tyān sudhī patra to avashya lakhyā karo.

ek ek pudgalaparamāṇu anant guṇ, anant paryāyasahit virājamān chhe.
ā pramāṇe ek sansārāvasthit jīvapiṇḍanī avasthā chhe; e ja pramāṇe anant jīvadravya
sapiṇḍarūp jāṇavā. ek jīvadravya anant anant pudgaladravyathī sanyogit (sanyukta) mānavun.
tenun vivaraṇaḥjudā judā rūpe jīvadravyanī pariṇati tathā judā judā rūpe
pudgaladravyanī pariṇati chhe.
tenun vivaraṇaḥek jīvadravya je prakāranī avasthāsahit nānā ākārarūp pariṇame
te prakār anya jīvathī maḷato āve nahi; teno bījo prakār chhe. (arthāt anya jīvanun tenāthī
anya avasthārūp pariṇaman hoy.) e pramāṇe anantānantasvarūp jīvadravya anantānantasvarūp
avasthāsahit vartī rahyān chhe. koī jīvadravyanā pariṇām koīpaṇ anya jīvadravyathī maḷatā āve
nahi. e ja pramāṇe ek pudgalaparamāṇu ek samayamān je prakāranī avasthā dhāraṇ kare te
avasthā anya pudgalaparamāṇu dravyathī maḷatī āve nahi. tethī pudgal (paramāṇu) dravyanī paṇ
anyaanyatā jāṇavī.
have jīvadravya, pudgaladravya ekakṣhetrāvagāhī anādikāḷathī chhe; temān visheṣh eṭalun ke
jīvadravya ek ane pudgalaparamāṇu dravya anantānant, chalāchalarūp, āgamanagamanarūp, anantākār
pariṇamanarūp, bandh-muktishaktisahit varte chhe.
have jīvadravyanī anantī avasthā; temān traṇ avasthā mukhya sthāpī. ek ashuddhaavasthā,
bījī shuddhāshuddharūp mishraavasthā tathā trījī shuddhaavasthā. e traṇe avasthā sansārī jīvadravyanī
jāṇavī. sansārātīt siddhane anavasthitarūp kahīe chhīe.
have traṇe avasthā sambandhī vichāraḥek ashuddhanishchayātmak dravya, bījun
mishranishchayātmak dravya ane trījun shuddhanishchayātmak dravya chhe. ashuddhanishchayātmak dravyane sahakārī
ashuddhavyavahār chhe; mishranishchayātmak dravyane sahakārī mishravyavahār chhe; tathā shuddhanishchayātmak

nishchay to abhedarūp dravya tathā vyavahār dravyanā yathāsthit bhāv chhe. parantu visheṣh eṭalun
kejyānsudhī sansārāvasthā chhe tyānsudhī vyavahār kahevāy. siddhane vyavahārātīt kahevāy. tethī
sansār, vyavahār e banne ekarūp kahyā arthāt sansārī te vyavahārī, vyavahārī te sansārī. have

jyānsudhī mithyātva avasthā chhe tyānsudhī ashuddhanishchayātmak dravya ashuddhavyavahārī chhe.
samyagdraṣhṭi thatān ja mātra chaturtha guṇasthānakathī māṇḍī bāramā guṇasthānak sudhī mishranishchayātmak
jīvadravya mishravyavahārī chhe; ane kevalagnānī shuddhanishchayātmak shuddhavyavahārī chhe.
nishchay to dravyanun svarup ane vyavahār
sansārāvasthit bhāv, tenun vivaraṇ
mithyādraṣhṭi jīv potānun svarūp jāṇato nathī tethī parasvarūp viṣhe magna banī parakāryane
tathā parasvarūpane potānān māne chhe, te kārya karato hovāthī te ashuddhavyavahārī kahevāy.
samyagdraṣhṭi potānun svarūp parokṣhapramāṇavaḍe anubhave chhe, parasattā ane parasvarūpane
potānun kārya nahi mānato thako yogadvāravaḍe potānā svarūpanā dhyānvichārarūp kriyā kare chhe,
te kārya karatān te mishravyavahārī kahevāy.
kevaḷagnānī (jīv) yathākhyātachāritranā baḷavaḍe shuddhātmasvarūpamān ramaṇashīl chhe tethī
te shuddhavyavahārī kahevāy. tenāmān yogārūḍh avasthā vidyamān chhe tethī tene vyavahārī nām
kahyo. shuddhavyavahāranī maryādā teramā guṇasthānathī māṇḍī chaudamā guṇasthān sudhī jāṇavī. yathā
असिद्धत्वपरिणमनत्वात् व्यवहारः।
have traṇe vyavahāranun svarup
ashuddhavyavahār shubhāshubhāchārarūp chhe, shuddhāshuddhavyavahār shubhopayogamishrit svarūpā-
charaṇarūp chhe, ane shuddhavyavahār shuddhasvarūpācharaṇarūp chhe.
parantu visheṣh tenun eṭalun chheḥkoī kahe ke shuddhasvarūpācharaṇātma to siddhamān paṇ
vidyamān chhe, tethī tyān paṇ vyavahār sañgnā kahevī joīe; te tem nathī kemake sansār avasthā
sudhī vyavahār kahīe chhīe, sansārāvasthā maṭatān vyavahār paṇ maṭyo kahevāy, ahīn e
sthāpanā karī chhe tethī siddha vyavahārātīt kahevāy.

āgamadhayātmanun svarup
vastuno je svabhāv tene āgam kahīe chhīe, ātmāno je adhikār tene adhyātma
kahīe chhīe. āgam tathā adhyātmasvarūp bhāv ātmadravyanā jāṇavā. te banne bhāv
sansāraavasthāviṣhe trikālavartī mānavā.
tenun vivaraṇaḥāgamarūp karmapaddhati chhe; adhyātmasvarūp shuddhachetanāpaddhati chhe.
tenun vivechanaḥkarmapaddhati paudgalik dravyarūp athavā bhāvarūp chhe. dravyarūp to
pudgalanā pariṇām chhe. bhāvarūp pudgalākār ātmānī ashuddhapariṇatirūp pariṇām chhe;te
banne pariṇām āgamarūp sthāpyā. have shuddhachetanāpaddhatishuddhātmapariṇām, te paṇ dravyarūp tathā
bhāvarūp em be prakāre chhe. dravyarūp to jīvatvapariṇām chhe; tathā bhāvarūp gnān, darshan, sukh,
vīrya ādi anantaguṇapariṇām chhe. e banne pariṇām adhyātmarūp jāṇavā.
e āgam tathā adhyātma banne paddhatimān anantatā mānavī.
anantatā kahī teno vichār
anantatānun svarūp draṣhṭāntavaḍe darshāve chhe, jemakeḥvaḍanā jhāḍanun ek bīj hāthamān levun,
te upar dīrghadraṣhṭithī vichār kare to te vaḍanā bījamān ek vaḍanun jhāḍ chhe, bhāvikāḷamān jevun
thanār chhe tevā vistārasahit te vr̥ukṣhanun vāstavya svarūp vidyamān bījamān chhatun chhe. anek shākhā,
prashākhā, patra, puṣhpa, phaḷayukta chhe. tenā pratyek phaḷamān evān anek bīj chhe.
e prakāranī avasthā ek vaḍanā bīj sambandhī vichārīe. vaḷī pharī sūkṣhmadraṣhṭithī
joīe to te vaḍanā vr̥ukṣhamān je je bījo chhe te te bījo (evān bījān) antargarbhit
vaḍavr̥ukṣhasanyukta hoy chhe. e ja rīte ek vaḍamān anek anek bīj ane ekek bījamān ekek
vaḍavr̥ukṣha chhe. teno (dīrgha) vichār karīe to bhāvinayapramāṇathī na vaḍavr̥ukṣhanī maryādā pamāy ke
na bījanī maryādā pamāy.
e pramāṇe anantatānun svarūp jāṇavun.
te anantatānā svarūpane kevaḷagnānī puruṣh paṇ anant ja dekhe, jāṇe, kahe; anantano bījo
ant chhe ja nahi ke je gnānamān (antarūpe) bhāse. tethī anantatā anantarūp ja pratibhāse chhe.
e pramāṇe āgam, adhyātmanī anantatā jāṇavī.
temān visheṣh eṭalun ke adhyātmanun svarūp anant chhe ane āgamanun svarūp anantānantarūp
chhe. kāraṇ ke yathārtha pramāṇathī adhyātma ek dravyāshrit, ane āgam anantānant pudgal-
dravyāshrit chhe.

te bannenun svarūp sarvathā prakāre to kevaḷagnānagochar chhe; anshamātra mati-shrutagnānagrāhya
chhe. tethī sarvathā prakāre āgamī, adhyātmī to kevaḷagnānī, anshamātra matishrutagnānī tathā
deshamātragnātā avadhignānī, manaḥparyayagnānī chhe; e traṇe (sarvathā, anshamātra, deshamātra)
yathāvasthit gnānapramāṇ nyūnādhikarūp jāṇavā.
mithyādraṣhṭi jīv na āgamī chhe, na adhyātmī chhe, kāraṇ ke te kathanamātra to granthapāṭhanā
baḷavaḍe āgamadhyātmanun svarūp upadeshamātra kahe chhe parantu te āgamadhyātmanā svarūpane
samyakprakāre jāṇato nathī. tethī mūḍhajīv na āgamī ke na adhyātmī chhe. (kāraṇ ke tene te
bhāvanun vedan ja nathī) yathā
निर्वेदकत्वात्।
have mūḍh ane gnānī jīvanun visheṣhapaṇun anya paṇ sāmbhaḷo
gnātā to mokṣhamārga sādhī jāṇe chhe, mūḍh mokṣhamārga sādhī jāṇe nahi.
shāmāṭe? to sāmbhaḷoḥ
mūḍh jīv āgamapaddhatine vyavahār kahe chhe ane adhyātma-
paddhatine nishchay kahe chhe, tethī te āgamaaṅgane ekāntapaṇe sādhī mokṣhamārga darshāve chhe;
adhyātmaaṅgane vyavahārathī paṇ jāṇe nahi e mūḍhadraṣhṭi jīvano svabhāv chhe; tene e ja pramāṇe
sūje chhe.
shāthī? kāraṇ ke āgamaaṅg bāhyakriyārūp pratyakṣhapramāṇ chhe, tenun svarūp sādhavun tene
sugam chhe, te bāhyakriyā karato thato mūḍh jīv potāne mokṣhano adhikārī māne chhe, paṇ
antargarbhit adhyātmarūp kriyā je antardaṣhṭigrāhya chhe te kriyāne mūḍh jīv jāṇe nahi, kāraṇ
antardraṣhṭinā abhāvathī antarakriyā draṣhṭigochar āve nahi; tethī mithyādraṣhṭi jīv (game teṭalī
bāhyakriyā karato chhato paṇ) mokṣhamārga sādhavāmān asamartha chhe. haveḥ
samyagdraṣhṭino vichār sāmbhaḷo
samyagdraṣhṭi koṇ kahevāy te sāmbhaḷoḥsanshay, vimoh ane vibhram e traṇ bhāv
jenāmān nathī te jīv samyagdraṣhṭi.
sanshay, vimoh ane vibhram shun? tenun svarūp draṣhṭāntavaḍe darshāve chhe te shravaṇ karoḥ
jemake chār puruṣh koī ek sthānamān ūbhā hatā. tyān koī anya puruṣhe te chāre pāse ek
chhīpano khaṇḍ lāvī batāvyo, ane pratyekane prashna karyo ke ā shun chhe? chhīp chhe ke rūpun? pratham
sanshayavāḷo puruṣh bolyo ke kāī samaj paḍatī nathī ke ā te chhīp chhe ke rūpun! mārī draṣhṭimān
teno nirdhār thato nathī. pachhī bījo vimohavāḷo puruṣh bolyo ke mane e kāī samajaṇ nathī
ke tame chhīp kone kaho chho tathā rūpun kone kaho chho? mārī draṣhṭimān kāī āvatun nathī tethī
hun nathī jāṇato ke tame shun kahevā māgo chho? athavā te chup rahe, ghelachhāthī bole nahi.

have trījo vibhramavāḷo puruṣh bolyo ke ā to pratyakṣhapramāṇ rūpun chhe, āne chhīp koṇ kahe
chhe? mārī draṣhṭimān to rūpun sūje chhe, tethī sarvathā prakāre te rūpun chhe. te traṇe puruṣhoe to
chhīpanā svarūpane jāṇyun nahi, tethī e traṇe mithyāvādī chhe. have chotho puruṣh bolyo ke
ā to pratyakṣhapramāṇ chhīpanā khaṇḍ chhe temān sanshay sho? chhīp, chhīp, chhīp, nirdhār chhīp. jo
āne koī anya vastu kahe to te pratyakṣhapramāṇ bhramit vā andh. tevī rīte samyagdraṣhṭine sva-
par svarūpamān sanshay, vimoh, vibhram nathī, yathārtha draṣhṭi chhe; tethī samyagdraṣhṭi jīv antardraṣhṭivaḍe
mokṣhapaddhati sādhī jāṇe chhe. te bāhyabhāvane bāhyanimittarūp māne chhe; te nimitta to
nānāprakāranān chhe ekarūp nathī; tethī antardraṣhṭinā pramāṇamān mokṣhamārga sādhe chhe. samyaggnān
(svasamvedan) ane svarūpācharaṇanī kaṇikā jāgye mokṣhamārga sācho.
mokṣhamārga sādhavo e vyavahār ane shuddhadravya akriyārūp te nishchay chhe. e pramāṇe
nishchayvyavahāranun svarūp samyagdraṣhṭi jāṇe chhe; paṇ mūḍh jīv jāṇe nahi ane māne paṇ nahi.
mūḍh jīv bandhapaddhatine sādhato thako tene mokṣhamārga kahe te vāt gnātā māne nahi.
kemake bandhane sādhavāthī bandh sadhāy paṇ mokṣha sadhāy nahi. gnātā jyāre kadāchit
bandhapaddhatino vichār kare tyāre te jāṇe ke ā paddhatithī mārun dravya anādinun bandharūp chālyun
chhe, have e paddhatithī moh toḍī vartun; ā paddhatino rāg pūrvanī jem he nar! tun shā māṭe
kare chhe? te kṣhaṇamātra paṇ bandhapaddhatimān magna thāy nahi. te gnātā potānun svarūp vichāre,
anubhave, dhyāve, gāve shravaṇ kare tathā navadhābhakti, tap, kriyā potānā shuddhasvarūpasanmukh thaīne
kare, e gnātāno āchār chhe. enun nām mishravyahār chhe. have
heygneyupādeyarup gnātānī chālano vichār
heytyāgarūp to potānā dravyanī ashuddhatā, gneyvichārarūp anya ṣhaṭdravya svarūp
upādeyācharaṇarūp potānā dravyanī shuddhatā. tenun vivechanaḥguṇasthānakanā pramāṇamān hey-
gney-upādeyarūp shakti gnātānī hoy. jem jem gnātānī hey-gney-upādeyarūp shakti vardhamān
thatī jāy tem tem guṇasthānanī vr̥uddhi thāy em kahyun chhe.
guṇasthān pramāṇe gnān ane guṇasthān pramāṇe kriyā. temān visheṣh eṭalun ke ek
guṇasthānavartī anek jīv hoy to (temane) anekarūpanun gnān tathā anekarūpanī kriyā kahevāmān
āve chhe. kāraṇ ke bhinna
bhinna sattānā pramāṇe karī (gnānkriyāmān) ekatā maḷe nahi. ekek
jīvadravyamān anyānyarūp audayikabhāv hoy, te audayikabhāvānusār gnānanī paṇ anya
anyatā jāṇavī.
parantu visheṣh eṭalun ke (e sarva ātmāmān) koī prakāranun gnān evun na hoy ke
parasattāvalambanashīl banī mokṣhamārga sākṣhāt kahe! kemake avasthā (dashā)nā pramāṇamān

parasattāvalambak chhe (paṇ tene te mokṣhamārga kaheto nathī) te ātmā parasattāvalambī gnānane
paramārthatā kaheto nathī.
je gnān hoy te svasattāvalambanashīl hoy tenun nām gnān. te gnānane sahakārabhūt
nimittarūp nānāprakāranā audayikabhāv hoy chhe. te audayikabhāvano gnātā, tamāshagīr chhe paṇ
teno kartā, bhoktā ke avalambī nathī; tethī koī em kahe ke
‘ā prakāranā audayikabhāv sarvathā
hoy to tene amuk (phalāṇun) guṇasthān kahīe’em kahevun e jūṭh chhe. em kahenāre dravyanun
svarūp sarvathā prakāre jāṇyun nathī.
kāraṇanya guṇasthānanī to vāt shun kahevī? kevaḷīone paṇ audayikabhāvonun
anekaprakārapaṇun jāṇavun. kevaḷīone paṇ audayikabhāv ekasarakhā hoy nahi; koī kevaḷīne
daṇḍ
kapāṭarūp kriyāno uday hoy tyāre koī kevaḷīne te na hoy. e pramāṇe kevaḷīomān paṇ
udayanī anekarūpatā chhe to anya guṇasthānonī to vāt shun kahevī?
māṭe audayikabhāvonā bharose gnān nathī. gnān svashaktipramāṇ chhe. svaparaprakāshak gnānanī
shakti, gnāyakapramāṇ gnān, svarūpācharaṇ chāritra yathānubhavapramāṇe gnātānun sāmarthya chhe.
e vātanun vivechan kyānsudhī lakhīe, kyānsudhī kahīe? (tattva) vachanātīt, indriyātīt,
gnānātīt chhe tethī ā vichāro bahu shā lakhavā? je gnātā hashe te thoḍun lakhelun (paṇ) bahu
samajashe. je agnānī hashe te ā chiṭhṭhī sāmbhaḷashe kharo, parantu samajashe nahi. ā vachanikā
jem chhe tem
(yathāyogya)sumatipramāṇ kevaḷīvachanānusār chhe. je jīv ā sāmbhaḷashe, samajashe,
shraddhashe, tene kalyāṇakārī chhebhāgyapramāṇ.

tenun vivaraṇaḥ
nimitta to sanyogarūp kāraṇ, upādān vastunī sahajashakti.
tenun vivaraṇaḥek dravyārthik nimitta-upādān, bījun paryāyārthik nimitta-upādān.
tenun vivechanaḥdravyārthik nimitta-upādān (vastumān) guṇabhed kalpanārūp chhe.
paryāyārthik nimitta-upādān (vastumān) parayog kalpanārūp chhe. tenī chaubhaṅgīḥ
pratham guṇabhed kalpanārūp chaubhaṅgīno vistār kahīe chhīe te shravaṇ karoḥ
jīvadravyanā anant guṇ, sarvaguṇ asahāy, svādhīn ane sadākāḷ (shāshvat chhe.) temān mukhya
be guṇ pradhān sthāpyā, te par chaubhaṅgīno vichāraḥ
ek to jīvano gnānaguṇ ane bījo jīvano chāritraguṇ. e banne guṇ shuddharūpabhāv
jāṇavā, ashuddharūp paṇ jāṇavā ane yathāyogya sthānake (guṇasthāne) mānavā. tenun vivaraṇaḥ
e banne guṇonī gati nyārī nyārī, shakti nyārī nyārī, jāti nyārī nyārī ane sattā nyārī
nyārī.
tenun vivechanaḥgnānaguṇanī to gnānagnānarūp gati, svaparaprakāshak shakti, gnān
(samyaggnān) rūp tathā mithyātvarūp jāti, tathā dravyapramāṇ sattā chhe, parantu ek visheṣh eṭalun
ke gnānarūp jātino kadī nāsh thato nathī; ane mithyātvarūp jātino nāsh samyagdarshananī utpatti
thatān thāy chhe. ā to gnānaguṇano nirṇay thayo.
have chāritraguṇanun vivechan kahe chheḥchāritraguṇanī saṅkleshvishuddharūp gati,
sthiratāasthiratārūp shakti, mandtīvrarūp jāti, ane dravyapramāṇ sattā chhe. temān eṭalun
visheṣh ke mandatānī sthiti chaudamā guṇasthānaparyant hoy chhe, ane tīvratānī sthiti pāñchamā
guṇasthān sudhī hoy chhe.
ā to gnānchāritra bannenā guṇabhed nyārā nyārā kahyā. have tenī vyavasthāḥ
gnān chāritrane ādhīn nathī, chāritra gnānane ādhīn nathī. banne asahāyarūp chheevī to
maryādā bandhāyelī chhe.
