svarūpe charaṇan chāritran, svasamayapravr̥uttirityarthaḥ . tadev vastusvabhāvatvāddharmaḥ . shuddha- chaitanyaprakāshanamityarthaḥ . tadev cha yathāvasthitātmaguṇatvātsāmyam . sāmyan tu darshanachāritra – mohanīyodayāpāditasamastamohakṣhobhābhāvādatyantanirvikāro jīvasya pariṇāmaḥ ..7.. vasthānan tallakṣhaṇanishchayachāritrājjīvasya samutpadyate . kim . parādhīnendriyajanitagnānasukhavilakṣhaṇan, svādhīnātīndriyarūpaparamagnānasukhalakṣhaṇan nirvāṇam . sarāgachāritrātpunardevāsuramanuṣhyarājavibhūtijanako mukhyavr̥uttyā vishiṣhṭapuṇyabandho bhavati, paramparayā nirvāṇan cheti . asureṣhu madhye samyagdr̥uṣhṭiḥ kathamutpadyate iti chet – nidānabandhen samyaktvavirādhanān kr̥utvā tatrotpadyat iti gnātavyam . atra nishchayen vītarāgachāritramupādeyan sarāgan heyamiti bhāvārthaḥ ..6.. ath nishchayachāritrasya paryāyanāmāni kathayāmītyabhiprāyan manasi sampradhārya sūtramind nirūpayati, evamagre‘pi vivakṣhitasūtrārthan manasi dhr̥utvāthavāsya sūtrasyāgre sūtramidamuchitan bhavatyevan nishchitya sūtramidan pratipādayatīti pātanikālakṣhaṇan yathāsambhavan sarvatra gnātavyam --chārittan chāritran kartr̥u khalu dhammo khalu sphu ṭan dharmo bhavati . dhammo jo so samo tti ṇiddiṭṭho dharmo yaḥ sa tu sham iti nirdiṣhṭaḥ . samo yastu shamaḥ saḥ mohakkhohavihīṇo pariṇāmo appaṇo
anvayārtha : — [chāritran ] chāritra [khalu ] vāstavamen [dharmaḥ ] dharma hai . [yaḥ dharmaḥ ] jo dharma hai [tat sāmyam ] vah sāmya hai [iti nirdiṣhṭam ] aisā (shāstrommen) kahā hai . [sāmyan hi ] sāmya [mohakṣhobhavihīnaḥ ] mokṣhakṣhobharahit aisā [ātmanaḥpariṇāmaḥ ] ātmākā pariṇām (bhāv) hai ..7..
ṭīkā : — svarūpamen charaṇ karanā ( – ramanā) so chāritra hai . svasamayamen pravr̥utti karanā (apane svabhāvamen pravr̥utti karanā) aisā isakā artha hai . yahī vastukā svabhāv honese dharma hai . shuddha chaitanyakā prakāsh karanā yah isakā artha hai . vahī yathāvasthit ātmaguṇ honese (viṣhamatārahit susthit ātmākā guṇ honese) sāmya hai . aur sāmya, darshanamohanīy tathā chāritramohanīyake udayase utpanna honevāle samasta moh aur kṣhobhake abhāvake kāraṇ atyanta nirvikār aisā jīvakā pariṇām hai .
bhāvārtha : — shuddha ātmāke shraddhānarūp samyaktvase viruddha bhāv (mithyātva) vah moh hai aur nirvikār nishchal chaitanyapariṇatirūp chāritrase viruddha bhāv (asthiratā) vah kṣhobh hai . moh aur kṣhobh rahit pariṇām, sāmya, dharma aur chāritra yah sab paryāyavāchī hain ..7..
