ab, jīv hī ek gnān hai, kyoṅki jīv chetan hai; isaliye gnānake aur jīvake avyatirek ( – abhed) hai. aur gnānakā jīvake sāth vyatirek kiñchitmātra bhī shaṅkā karane yogya nahīn hai (arthāt gnānakī jīvase bhinnatā hogī aisī jarā bhī shaṅkā karane yogya nahīn hai), kyoṅki jīv svayam hī gnān hai. aisā (gnān jīvase abhinna) honese, gnān hī samyagdr̥uṣhṭi hai, gnān hī sanyam hai, gnān hī aṅgapūrvarūp sūtra hai, gnān hī dharma-adharma (arthāt puṇya-pāp) hai, gnān hī pravrajyā ( – dīkṣhā, nishchayachāritra) hai — isaprakār gnānakā jīvaparyāyoṅke sāth bhī avyatirek nishchayasādhit dekhanā (arthāt nishchay dvārā siddha huā samajhanā — anubhav karanā) chāhie.

bhāvārtha : — yahān̐ gnānako samasta paradravyonse bhinna aur apanī paryāyonse abhinna batāyā hai, isalie ativyāpti aur avyāpti nāmak lakṣhaṇ-doṣh dūr ho gaye. ātmākā lakṣhaṇ upayog hai, aur upayogamen gnān pradhān hai; vah (gnān) anya achetan dravyommen nahīn hai, isaliye vah ativyāptivālā nahīn hai, aur apanī sarva avasthāommen hai; isalie avyāptivālā nahīn hai. isaprakār gnānalakṣhaṇ kahanese ativyāpti aur avyāpti doṣh nahīn āte.
yahān̐ gnānako hī pradhān karake ātmākā adhikār hai, kyoṅki gnānalakṣhaṇase hī ātmā sarva paradravyonse bhinna anubhavagochar hotā hai. yadyapi ātmāmen ananta dharma hain, tathāpi unamense kitane hī to chhadmasthake anubhavagochar hī nahīn hain. un dharmoṅke kahanese chhadmastha gnānī ātmāko kaise pahichān sakatā hai ? aur kitane hī dharma anubhavagochar hain, parantu unamense kitane hī to — astitva, vastutva, prameyatva ādi to — anya dravyoṅke sāth sāmānya arthāt samān hī hain, isaliye unake kahanese pr̥uthak ātmā nahīn jānā jā sakatā, aur kitane hī (dharma) paradravyake nimittase huye hain unhen kahanese paramārthabhūt ātmākā shuddha svarūp kaise jānā jā sakatā hai ? isalie gnānake kahanese hī chhadmastha gnānī ātmāko pahichān sakatā hai.
yahān̐ gnānako ātmākā lakṣhaṇ kahā hai itanā hī nahīn, kintu gnānako hī ātmā kahā hai; kyoṅki abhedavivakṣhāmen guṇaguṇīkā abhed honese, gnān hai so hī ātmā hai. abhedavivakṣhāmen chāhe gnān kaho yā ātmā — koī virodh nahīn hai; isaliye yahān̐ gnān kahanese ātmā hī samajhanā chāhie.
ṭīkāmen antamen yah kahā gayā hai ki — jo, apanemen anādi agnānase honevālī shubhāshubh upayogarūp parasamayakī pravr̥uttiko dūr karake, samyagdarshan-gnān-chāritramen pravr̥uttirūp svasamayako prāpta karake, aise svasamayarūp pariṇamanasvarūp mokṣhamārgamen apaneko pariṇamit karake, sampūrṇavignānaghanasvabhāvako prāpta huā hai, aur jisamen koī tyāg-grahaṇ nahīn hai, aise sākṣhāt samayasārasvarūp, paramārthabhūt, nishchal rahā huā, shuddha, pūrṇa gnānako (pūrṇa ātmadravyako) dekhanā chāhie. yahān̐ ‘dekhanā’ tīn prakārase samajhanā chāhie. (1) shuddhanayakā gnān karake pūrṇa gnānakā shraddhān karanā so pratham prakārakā dekhanā hai. vah avirat ādi avasthāmen bhī hotā hai. (2) gnān-shraddhān honeke bād bāhya sarva parigrahakā tyāg karake usakā ( – pūrṇa gnānakā) abhyās karanā, upayogako gnānamen hī sthir karanā, jaisā shuddhanayase

apane svarūpako siddha samān jānā-shraddhān kiyā thā vaisā hī dhyānamen lekar chittako ekāgra – sthir karanā, aur punaḥ punaḥ usīkā abhyās karanā, so dūsare prakārakā dekhanā hai. isaprakārakā dekhanā apramattadashāmen hotā hai. jahān̐ tak us prakārake abhyāsase kevalagnān utpanna na ho vahān̐ tak aisā abhyās nirantar rahatā hai. yah, dekhanekā dūsarā prakār huā. yahān̐ tak to pūrṇa gnānakā shuddhanayake āshrayase parokṣha dekhanā hai. aur (3) jab kevalagnān utpanna hotā hai tab sākṣhāt dekhanā hai, so yah tīsare prakārakā dekhanā hai. us sthitimen gnān sarva vibhāvonse rahit hotā huā sabakā gnātā-draṣhṭā hai, isalie yah tīsare prakārakā dekhanā pūrṇa gnānakā pratyakṣha dekhanā hai..390 se 404..
shlokārtha : — [anyebhyaḥ vyatiriktam ] anya dravyonse bhinna, [ātma-niyatan ] apanemen hī niyat, [pr̥uthak-vastutām-bibhrat ] pr̥uthak vastutvako dhāraṇ karatā huā ( — vastukā svarūp sāmānyavisheṣhātmak honese svayam bhī sāmānyavisheṣhātmakatāko dhāraṇ karatā huā), [ādān-ujjhan-shūnyam ] grahaṇatyāgase rahit, [etat amalan gnānan ] yah amal ( – rāgādik malase rahit) gnān [tathā-avasthitam yathā ] isaprakār avasthit ( – nishchal) anubhavamen ātā hai ki jaise [madhya-ādi-ant-vibhāg-mukta-sahaj-sphār-prabhā-bhāsuraḥ asya shuddha-gnān-ghanaḥ mahimā ] ādi-madhya-antarūp vibhāgonse rahit aisī sahaj phai lī huī prabhāke dvārā dedīpyamān aisī usakī shuddhagnānaghanasvarūp mahimā [nitya-uditaḥ-tiṣhṭhati ] nitya-udit rahe ( — shuddha gnānakī puñjarūp mahimā sadā udayamān rahe).
bhāvārtha : — gnānakā pūrṇa rūp sabako jānanā hai. vah jab pragaṭ hotā hai tab sarva visheṣhaṇonse sahit pragaṭ hotā hai; isalie usakī mahimāko koī bigāṛ nahīn sakatā, vah sadā udit rahatī hai.235.

bhāvārtha : — pūrṇagnānasvarūp, sarva shaktiyoṅkā samūharūp jo ātmā hai use ātmāmen dhāraṇ kar rakhanā so yahī, jo kuchh tyāgane yogya thā us sabako tyāg diyā aur grahaṇ karane yogya jo kuchh thā use grahaṇ kiyā hai. yahī kr̥utakr̥utyatā hai.236.
shlokārtha : — [evan gnānam paradravyāt vyatiriktan avasthitam ] isaprakār (pūrvokta rītise) gnān paradravyase pr̥uthak avasthit ( – nishchal rahā huā) hai; [tat āhārakan katham syāt yen asya dehaḥ shaṅkyate ] vah (gnān) āhārak (arthāt karma-nokarmarūp āhār karanevālā) kaise ho sakatā hai ki jisase usake dehakī shaṅkā kī jā sake ? (gnānake deh ho hī nahīn sakatī, kyoṅki usake karma-nokarmarūp āhār hī nahīn hai.).237.

bhāvārtha : — yadi dehamay dravyaliṅg mokṣhakā kāraṇ hotā to arhantadev ādi dehakā mamatva chhoṛakar darshan-gnān-chāritrakā sevan kyon karate ? dravyaliṅgase hī mokṣha prāpta kar lete ! isase yah nishchay huā ki — dehamay liṅg mokṣhamārga nahīn hai, paramārthataḥ darshanagnānachāritrarūp ātmā hī mokṣhakā mārga hai..408-409..

prāpta karatā hai arthāt sthit rahatā hai, [tam anishan dhyāyet ] usīkā nirantar dhyān karatā hai, [tan chetati ] usīko chetatā hai — usīkā anubhav karatā hai, [cha dravyāntarāṇi aspr̥ushan tasmin ev nirantaran viharati ] aur anya dravyoṅko sparsha na karatā huā usīmen nirantar vihār karatā hai [saḥ nitya-udayan samayasya sāram achirāt avashyan vindati ] vah puruṣh, jisakā uday nitya rahatā hai aise samayake sārako (arthāt paramātmāke rūpako) alpa kālamen hī avashya prāpta karatā hai arthāt usakā anubhav karatā hai.
bhāvārtha : — nishchayamokṣhamārgake sevanase alpa kālamen hī mokṣhakī prāpti hotī hai, yah niyam hai.240.
‘jo dravyaliṅgako hī mokṣhamārga mānakar usamen mamatva rakhate hain, unhonne samayasārako arthāt shuddha ātmāko nahīn jānā’ — isaprakār gāthā dvārā kahate hain.
shlokārtha : — [ye tu enan parihr̥utya samvr̥uti-path-prasthāpiten ātmanā dravyamaye liṅṅge mamatān vahanti ] jo puruṣh is pūrvokta paramārthasvarūp mokṣhamārgako chhoṛakar vyavahāramokṣhamārgamen sthāpit apane ātmāke dvārā dravyamay liṅgamen mamatā karate hain (arthāt yah mānate hain ki yah dravyaliṅg hī hamen mokṣha prāpta karā degā), [te tattva-avabodh-chyutāḥ adya api samayasya sāram na pashyanti ] ve puruṣh tattvake yathārtha gnānase rahit hote hue abhī tak samayake sārako (arthāt shuddha ātmāko) nahīn dekhate — anubhav nahīn karate. vah samayasār arthāt shuddhātmā kaisā hai ? [nitya-udyotam ] nitya prakāshamān hai (arthāt koī pratipakṣhī hokar usake udayakā nāsh nahīn kar sakatā), [akhaṇḍam ] akhaṇḍa hai (arthāt jisamen anya gney ādike nimitta khaṇḍa nahīn hote), [ekam ] ek hai (arthāt paryāyonse anek avasthārūp hone par bhī jo ekarūpatvako nahīn chhoṛatā), [atul-ālokan ] atul ( – upamārahit) prakāshavālā hai, (kyoṅki gnānaprakāshako sūryādike prakāshakī upamā nahīn dī jā sakatī), [svabhāv-prabhā-prāgbhāran ] svabhāvaprabhākā puñj hai (arthāt chaitanyaprakāshakā samūharūp hai), [amalan ] amal hai (arthāt rāgādi-vikārarūpī malase rahit hai).

shlokārtha : — [vyavahār-vimūḍh-dr̥uṣhṭayaḥ janāḥ paramārtha no kalayanti ] jinakī dr̥uṣhṭi (buddhi) vyavahāramen hī mohit hai aise puruṣh paramārthako nahīn jānate, [ih tuṣh-bodh-vimugdha- buddhayaḥ tuṣhan kalayanti, na taṇḍulam ] jaise jagatamen jinakī buddhi tuṣhake gnānamen hī mohit hai ( – mohako prāpta huī hai) aise puruṣh tuṣhako hī jānate hain, tandul ( – chāval) ko nahīn jānate.
bhāvārtha : — jo dhānake chhilakon par hī mohit ho rahe hain, unhīṅko kūṭate rahate hain, unhonne chāvaloṅko jānā hī nahīn hai; isīprakār jo dravyaliṅg ādi vyavahāramen mugdha ho rahe hain (arthāt jo sharīrādikī kriyāmen mamatva kiyā karate hain), unhonne shuddhātmānubhavanarūp paramārthako jānā nahīn hai; arthāt aise jīv sharīrādi paradravyako hī ātmā jānate hain, ve paramārtha ātmāke svarūpako jānate hī nahīn.242.
