parajIvAnahan hinasmi, parajIvairhinsye chAhamityadhyavasAyo dhruvamagnAnam . sa tu yasyAsti sognAnitvAnmithyAdRuShTi, yasya tu nAsti sa gnAnitvAtsamyagdraShTi .
shlokArtha : — [ya jAnAti sa na karoti ] jo jAnatA hai so ka ratA nahIn [tu ] aur [ya karoti ayan khalu jAnAti na ] jo ka ratA hai so jAnatA nahIn . [tat kil karmarAga ] ka ranA to vAstavamen ka rmarAg hai [tu ] aur [rAgan abodhamayam adhyavasAyam Ahu ] rAgako (muniyonne) agnAnamay adhyavasAy ka hA hai; [sa niyatan mithyAdRusha ] jo ki vah (agnAnamay adhyavasAy) niyamase mithyAdRuShTike hotA hai [cha ] aur [sa bandhahetu ] vah bandhakA kAraN hai .167.

gAthArtha : — [ya ] jo [manyate ] yah mAnatA hai ki [hinasmi cha ] ‘main par jIvonko mAratA hUn [parai sattvai hinsye cha ] aur par jIv mujhe mArate hain ’, [sa ] vah [mUDha ] mUDh ( – mohI) hai, [agnAnI ] agnAnI hai, [tu ] aur [ata viparIta ] isase viparIt (jo aisA nahIn mAnatA vah) [gnAnI ] gnAnI hai .
TIkA : — ‘main par jIvonko mAratA hUn aur par jIv mujhe mArate hain ’ — aisA 1adhyavasAy dhruvarUpase ( – niyamase, nishchayata) agnAn hai . vah adhyavasAy jisake hai vah agnAnIpaneke kAraN mithyAdRuShTi hai; aur jisake vah adhyavasAy nahIn hai vah gnAnIpaneke kAraN samyagdRuShTi hai .
bhAvArtha : — ‘parajIvonko main mAratA hUn aur parajIv mujhe mArate hain’ aisA Ashay agnAn hai, isalie jisakA aisA Ashay hai vah agnAnI hai — mithyAdRuShTi hai aur jisakA aisA Ashay nahIn hai vah gnAnI hai — samyagdRuShTi hai .
