भयलज्जालाहादो हिंसारंभो ण मण्णदे धम्मो ।
जो जिणवयणे लीणो अमूढदिट्ठी हवे सो हु ।।४१८।।
भयलज्जालाभात् हिंसारम्भः न मन्यते धर्मः ।
यः जिनवचने लीनः अमूढदृष्टिः भवेत् सः स्फु टम् ।।४१८।।
arthaḥ — je bhayathī, lajjāthī tathā lābhathī paṇ hinsānā
ārambhane dharma na māne te puruṣh amūḍhadraṣhṭiguṇ sanyukta chhe. kevo chhe te?
jinavachanamān līn chhe, bhagavāne ‘ahinsāne ja dharma kahyo chhe’ evī draḍh
shraddhā yukta chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — anyamatīo yagnādik hinsāmān dharma sthāpe chhe tene
rājānā bhayathī, koī vyantaranā bhayathī, lokanī lajajāthī vā koī
dhanādikanā lobhathī ityādi anek kāraṇothī paṇ dharma na māne, parantu
evī shraddhā rākhe ke ‘dharma to bhagavāne ahinsāne ja kahyo chhe’ tene
amūḍhadraṣhṭiguṇ kahe chhe. ahīn hinsārambh kahevāthī hinsānā prarūpak dev
-shāstra-guru ādimān paṇ mūḍhadraṣhṭivān na thāy — em samajavun.
have upagūhanaguṇ kahe chheḥ —
जो परदोसं गोवदि णियसुकयं णो पयासदे लोए ।
भवियव्वभावणरओ उवगूहणकारओ सो हु ।।४१९।।
यः परदोषं गोपयति निजसुकृतं नो प्रकाशयते लोके ।
भवितव्यभावनारतः उपगूहनकारकः सः स्फु टम् ।।४१९।।
arthaḥ — je samyagdraṣhṭi paranā doṣhane ḍhāṅke – gopave tathā potānā
sukr̥ut arthāt puṇya – guṇo lokamān prakāshe nahi – kaheto phare nahi, paṇ
āvī bhāvanāmān līn rahe ke ‘je bhavitavya chhe te thāy chhe tathā thashe’
te upagūhanaguṇavāḷo chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — ‘je karmano uday chhe te anusār lokamān mārī pravr̥utti
chhe ane je thavā yogya chhe te ja thāy chhe’ evī bhāvanā samyagdraṣhṭine
dharmānuprekṣhā ]
