bhāvapāhuḍ][237

bhāvārthaḥ––ārtta–raudra dhyān ashubh hai, sansār ke kāraṇ haĩn. ye donon dhyān jo jīvake binā upadesh hī anādise pāye jāte hain, isaliye inako chhoṛanekā upadesh hai. dharma shukla dhyān svarga – mokṣhake kāraṇ haĩn. inako kabhī nahīn dhyāyā, isaliy inakā dhyān karane kā upadesh hai. dhyānakā svarūp ‘ekāgrachintānirodh’ kahā hai; dharmadhyānamen to dharmānurāgakā sadbhāv hai so dharmake–––mokṣhamārgake kāraṇamen rāgasahit ekāgrachintānirodh hotā hai, isaliye shubharāg ke nimittase puṇyabandha bhī hotā hai aur vishuddha bhāvake nimittase pāpakarma kī nirjarā bhī hotī hai. shukladhyān men āṭhaven nauven dasaven guṇasthānamen to avyakta rāg hai. vahān̐ anubhav apekṣhā upayog ujjval hai, isaliye ‘shukla’ nām rakhā hai aur isase ūpar ke guṇasthānon men rāg–kaṣhāyakā abhāv hī hai, isaliye sarvathā hī upayog ujjval hai, vahān̐ shukladhyān yukta hī hai. itanī aur visheṣhatā hai ki upayogake ekāgrapanārūp dhyānakī sthiti anatarmuhūrtta kī kahī hai. is apekṣhā se terahaven–chaudahaven guṇasthānameh dhyānakā upachār hai aur yogakriyāke sthambhanakī apekṣhā dhyān kahā hai. yah shukladhyān karmakī nirjarā karake jīvako mokṣha prāpta karātā hai, aise dhyānakā upadesh jānanā.. 121.. āge kahate hain ki yah dhyān bhāvaliṅgī muniyoṅko mokṣha karatā haiḥ–––

je ke vi davvasavaṇā indiyasuhaāulā ṇa chhindanti.
chhindanti bhāvasavaṇā jhāṇakuḍhārehin bhavarukkhan.. 122..
ye ke‘pi dravyashramaṇā īndriyasukhākulāḥ na chhindanti.
chhindanti bhāvashramaṇāḥ dhyānakuṭhāraiḥ bhavavr̥ukṣham.. 122..

arthaḥ
––kaī dravyaliṅgī shramaṇ hain, ve to indriyasukhamen vyākul hain, unake yah dharma –
shukladhyān nahīn hotā. ve to sansārarūpī vr̥ukṣha ko kāṭane men samartha nahīn hain, aur jo bhāvaliṅgī
shramaṇ hain, ve dhyānarūpī kulhāṛese sansārarūpī vr̥ukṣhako kāṭate haĩn.

bhāvārthaḥ––jo muni dravyaliṅg to dhāraṇ karate hain, parantu usako paramārtha sukhakā anubhav

nahīn huā hai, isaliye ihalok paralokamen indriyoṅke sukh hī ko chāhate hain, tapashcharaṇādik bhī isī abhilāṣh se karate hain unake dharma–shukla dhyān kaise ho? arthāt nahīn hotā hai. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

dravye shramaṇ indriyasukhākul hoīne chhede nahīn;

jinane paramārtha sukhakā āsvād liyā unako indriyasukh duḥkh hī hai aisā spaṣhṭa bhāsit huā hai, ataḥ paramārtha sukhakā upāy dharma–shukladhyān hai usako karake ve sansārakā abhāv karate hain, isaliye bhāvaliṅgī hokar dhyānakā abhyās karanā chāhiye.. 122.. āge is hī arthakā dr̥uṣhṭānt dvārā dr̥urḥ karate hainḥ–––

jah dīvo gabbhahare māruyabāhāvivajjio jalai.
tah rāyāṇilarahio jhāṇapaīyo vi pajjalai.. 123..
yathā dīpaḥ garbhagr̥uhe mārutabādhāvivarjitaḥ jvalati.
tathā rāgānilarahitaḥ dhyānapradīpaḥ api prajvalati.. 123..

arthaḥ––jaise dīpak garbhagr̥uh arthāt jahān̐ pavanakā sañchār nahīn hai aise madhyake gharamen pavan kī bādhā rahit nishchal hokar jalatā hai [prakāsh karatā hai], vaise hī antaraṅg manamen rāgarūpī pavanase rahit dhyānarūpī dīpak bhī jalatā hai, ekāgra hokar ṭhaharatā hai, ātmarūpako prakāshit karatā hai. bhāvārthaḥ––pahile kahā thā ki jo indriyasukhase vyākul hain unake shubhadhyān nahīn hotā hai, usakā yah dīpakakā dr̥uṣhṭānt hai–– jahān̐ indriyoṅke sukh men jo rāg vah hī huā pavan vah vidyamān hai, unake dhyānarūpī dīpak kaise nirbādh udyot kare? arthāt na kare, aur jinake yah rāgarūpī pavan bādhā na kare unake dhyānarūpī dīpak nishchal ṭhaharatā hai.. 123.. āge kahate hain ki–––dhyānamen jo paramārtha dhyey shuddha ātmākā svarūp hai us svarūpake ārādhanamen nāyak (pradhān) pañch parameṣhṭhī hain, unakā dhyān karanekā upadesh karate hainḥ–––

jhāyahi pañch vi gurave maṅgalachausaraṇaloyapariyarie.
ṇarasurakheyaramahie ārāhaṇaṇāyage vīre.. 124..

dhyāy pañch api gurun maṅgalachatuḥ sharaṇalokaparikaritān.
narasurakhecharamahitān ārādhanānāyakān vīrān.. 124..

arthaḥ
–––he mune! tū pañch guru arthāt pañchaparameṣhṭhī kā dhyān kara. yahān̐ ‘api’ shabda
shuddhātma savarūpake dhyānako sūchit karatā hai. pañch parameṣhṭhī kaise hain? maṅgal arthāt pāp ke
nāshak athavā sukhadāyak aur chausharaṇ arthāt chār sharaṇ tathā ‘lok’ arthāt lok ke
prāṇiyon se arahant, siddha, sādhu, kevalīpraṇīt dharma, ye parikarit arthāt parivārit hain––––
yukta
(–sahit) haĩn. nar – sur – vidyādhar sahit hain, pujya hain, isaliye ven ‘lokottam’ kahe
jāte hai, ārādhanāke nāyak hain , vīr hain, karmoṅke jītane ko subhaṭ hain aur vishiṣhṭa lakṣhmī ko
prāpta hain tathā dete haĩn. isaprakār pañch param gurukā dhyān kara.

bhāvārthaḥ–––yahān̐ pañch parameṣhṭhīkā dhyān karaneke liye kahā. us dhyānamen vighnako dūr
karane vāle ‘chār maṅgal’ kahe ve yahī hain,‘chār sharaṇ’ aur ‘lokottam’ kahe hain ve bhī inhī ko
kahe haĩn. inake sivāy prāṇīko anya sharaṇ yā rakṣhā karanevālā koī bhī nahīn hai aur lok men
uttam bhī ye hī haĩn. ārādhanā darshan – gnān – chāritra – tap ye chār hain, inake nāyak
[svāmī] bhī ye hī hain, karmoṅko jītanevāle bhī ye hī hain . isaliye dhyān karanevāle ke liye
inakā dhyān shreṣhṭha hai. shuddhasvarūpakī prāpti inahī ke dhyān se hotī hai, isaliye yah upadesh
hai.. 124..

āge dhyān hai vah, ‘gnānakā ekāgra honā’ hai, isaliye gnānake anubhav kā upadesh karate
hainḥ–––
ṇāṇamay vimalasīyalasalilan pāūṇ bhaviy bhāveṇa.
vāhijaramaraṇaveyaṇaḍāhavimukkā sivā honti.. 125..
gnānamayavimal shītal salilan prāpya bhavyāḥ bhāvena.
vyādhijarāmaraṇavedanādāhavimuktāḥ shivāḥ bhavanti.. 125..

gnānātma nirmaḷ nīr shītaḷ prāpta karīne, bhāvathī,

vyādhisvarūp jarā–maraṇakī vedanā [pīṛā] ko bhasma karake mukta arthāt sansār se rahit ‘shiv’ arthāt paramanand sukharūp hote haĩn. bhāvārthaḥ–––jaise nirmal aur shītal jalake pīne se pittakī dāharūp vyādhi miṭakar sātā hotī hai, vaise hī yah gnān hai vah jab yah rāgādik malase rahit nirmal aur ākulatā rahit shāntabhāvarūp hotā hai, usakī bhāvanā kar ruchi, shraddhā, pratīti se pīve, isase tanamay ho to jarā – maraṇarūp dāh – vedanā miṭ jātī hai aur sansār se nirvr̥utta hokar sukharūp hotā hai, isaliye bhavya jīvoṅko yah upadesh hai ki gnānamen līn hoo.. 124..

āge kahate hain ki is dhyānarūp agni men sansār ke bīj āṭhon karma ek bār dagdha ho jāne par pīchhe phir sansār nahīn hotā hai, yah bīj bhāvamunike dagdha ho jātā haiḥ–––

jah bīyammi ya daḍḍhe ṇa vi rohai aṅkuro ya mahi vīḍhe.
tah kammabīyadaḍḍhe bhavaṅkuro bhāvasavaṇāṇan.. 126..
yathā bīje cha dagdhe nāpi rohati aṅkurashcha mahīpīṭhe.
tathā karma bījadagdhe bhavāṅkuraḥ bhāvashramaṇānām.. 126..

arthaḥ––jaise pr̥ithvītal par bīj ke jal jāne par usakā aṅkur phir nahīn ugatā hai,
vaise hī bhāvaliṅgī shramaṇake sansārakā karmarūpī bīj dagdha hotā hai isaliye sansārarūp aṅkur phir
nahīn hotā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––sansārake bīj ‘gnānāvaraṇādi’ karma haĩn. ye karma bhāvashramaṇ ke dhyānarūp
agnise bhasma ho jāte hain, isaliye phir sansārarūp aṅkur kisase ho? isaliye bhāvashramaṇ
hokar dharma – shukladhyān se karmoṅkā nāsh karanā yogya hai, yah upadesh hai. koī sarvathā ekāntī
anyathā kahe ki–––karma anādi hain, usakā ant bhī nahīn hai, usakā bhī yah niṣhedh hai.

jyam bīj hotān dagdha, aṅkur bhūtaḷe ūge nahīn,

āge saṅkṣhep se upadesh karate hainḥ––––

bhāvasavaṇo vi pāvai sukkhāin duhāin davvasavaṇo ya.
iy ṇāun guṇadose bhāveṇ sañjudo hoi.. 127..
bhāvashramaṇaḥ api prāpnoti sukhāni duḥkhāni dravyashramaṇashcha.
iti gnātvā guṇadoṣhān bhāven cha sanyutaḥ bhava.. 127..

arthaḥ
––bhāvashramaṇ to sukhoṅko pātā hai aur dravyashramaṇ duḥkhoṅko pātā hai, is prakār
guṇ – doṣhoṅko jānakar he jīv! tū bhāvasahit sanyamī bana.

bhāvārthaḥ––samyagdarshan sahit bhāvashramaṇ hotā hai, vah sansārakā abhāv karake sukhoṅko pātā hai aur mithyātvasahit dravyashramaṇ bheṣhamātra hotā hai, vah sansār kā abhāv nahīn kar sakatā hai, isaliye duḥkhoṅko pātā hai. ataḥ upadesh karate hain ki donon ke guṇ – doṣh jānakar bhāvasahayamī honā yogya hai, yah sab upadeshakā sār hai.. 127..

āge phir bhī isī kā upadesh artharūp saṅkṣhep se kahate hainḥ–––

titthayaragaṇaharāin abbhudayaparamparāin sokkhāin.
pāvanti bhāvasahiyā saṅkhevi jiṇehin vajjariyan.. 128..
tīrthaṅkaragaṇadharādīni abhyudayaparamparāṇi saukhyāni.
prāpnuvanti bhāvashramaṇāḥ saṅkṣhepeṇ jinaiḥ bhaṇitam.. 128..

arthaḥ––jo bhāv sahit muni hain ve abhyudayasahit tīrthaṅkar – gaṇadhar ādi padavī ke sukhoṅko pāte hain, yah saṅkṣhep se kahā hai. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

re! bhāvashramaṇ sukho lahe ne dravyamuni duḥkho lahe;
tun bhāvathī sanyukta thā, guṇadoṣh jāṇī e rīte. 127.
tīrthesh–gaṇanāthādigat abhyudayayut saukhyo taṇī,
prāpti kare chhe bhāvamuni;–bhākhyun jine saṅkṣhepathī. 128.

unako bhāvasahit samyagdr̥uṣhṭi muni pāte haĩn. yah sab upadeshakā saṅkṣhep kahā hai isaliye bhāvasahit muni honā yogya hai.. 128.. āge āchārya kahate hain ki jo bhāvashramaṇ hain unako dhanya hain, unako hamārā namaskār hoḥ––

te dhaṇṇā tāṇ ṇamo dansaṇavaraṇāṇacharaṇ suddhāṇan.
bhāvasahiyāṇ ṇichchan tiviheṇ paṇaṭṭhamāyāṇan.. 129..
te dhanyāḥ tebhya namaḥ darshanavaragnānacharaṇashuddhebhyaḥ.
bhāvasahitebhyaḥ nityan trividhen praṇaṣhṭamāyebhyaḥ.. 129..

arthaḥ
–––āchārya kahate hain ki jo muni samyagdarshan shreṣhṭha
(vishiṣhṭa) gnān aur nirdoṣh
chāritra inase shuddha hain isīliye bhāv sahit hain aur praṇaṣhṭa ho gaī hai māyā arthāt kapaṭ
pariṇām jinake aise hain ve dhanya haĩn. unake liye hamārā man–vachan–kāy se sadā namaskār ho.

bhāvārthaḥ––bhāvaliṅgīyommen jo darshan–gnān–chāritra se shuddha hain unake prati āchārya ko
bhakti utpanna huī hai, isaliye unako dhanya kahakar namaskār kiyā hai vah yukta hai, jinake
mokṣhamārga men anurāg hai, unamen mokṣhamārga kī pravr̥utti men pradhānatā dikhatī hai, unako namaskār
karẽn.. 129..

āge kahate hain ki jo bhāvashramaṇ hain ve devādikakī r̥uddhi dekhakar mohako prāpta nahīn hote
hainḥ––
iḍḍhimatulan viuvviy kiṇṇarakimpurisaamarakhayarehĩn.
tehin viṇ jāi mohan jiṇ bhāvaṇ bhāvio dhīro.. 130..

te chhe sudhanya, tridhā sadaiv namaskaraṇ ho temane,
je bhāvayut, dr̥ugagnānacharaṇavishuddha, māyā mukta chhe. 129.
khechar–surādik vikriyāthī r̥uddhi atul kare bhale,
jinabhāvanā pariṇat sudhīr lahe na tyān paṇ mohane. 130.

242] [aṣhṭapāhuḍ bhāvārthaḥ––– tīrthaṅkar gaṇadhar chakravartī ādi padon ke sukh baṛe abhyuday sahit hain,

r̥uddhimatulān 1vikurvabhdiḥ kinnarakimpuruṣhāmarakhacharaiḥ.
tairapi na yāti mohan jinabhāvanā bhāvitaḥ dhīraḥ.. 130..

arthaḥ
–––jinabhāvanā [samyaktva bhāvanā] se vāsit jīv kinnar, kimparuṣh dev;
kalpavāsī dev aur vidyādhar, inase vikriyārūp vistār kī gaī atul–r̥uddhiyonse mohako
prāpta nahīn hotā hai, kyoṅki samyadr̥uṣhṭi jīv kaisā hai? dhīr hai, dr̥urḥabuddhi hai arthāt niḥshaṅkit
aṅg kā dhārak hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––jisake jinasamyaktva dr̥urḥ hai usake sansārakī r̥uddhi tr̥uṇavat hai, paramārtha sukh kī hī bhāvanā hai, vināshīk r̥uddhikī vāñchhā kyon ho? .. 130..

āge isahīkā samarthan hai ki aisī r̥uddhi bhī nahīn chāhatā hai to anya sānsārik sukh kī kyā kathā?–

kin puṇ gachchhai mohan ṇarasurasukkhāṇ appasārāṇan.
jāṇanto passanto chintanto mokkha muṇidhavalo.. 131..
kin punaḥ gachchhati mohan narurasukhānān alpasārāṇām.
jānan pashyan chintayan mokṣhan munidhavalaḥ.. 131..

arthaḥ––samyagdr̥uṣhṭi jīv pūrvokta prakārakī bhī r̥uddhi ko nahīn chāhatā hai to munidhaval arthāt munipradhān hai vah anya jo manuṣhya devoṅke sukh – bhogādik jinamen alpa sār hai unamen kyā mohako prāpta ho? kaisā hai munidhaval? mokṣha ko jānatā hai, usahī kī taraph dr̥uṣhṭi hai, usahī kā chintan karatā hai. bhāvārthaḥ––jo munipradhān hain unakī bhāvanā mokṣhake sukhommen hai. ve baṛī baṛī dev vidyādharoṅkī phailāī huī vikriyār̥uddhimen bhī lālasā nahīn karate hain to kiñchitmātra vināshīk jo manuṣhya, devoṅke bhogādikakā sukh unamen vāñchhā kaise kare? arthāt nahīn kare.. 131.. āge upadesh karate hain ki jabatak jarā ādik na āve tabatak apanā hit kar loḥ–– ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

to dev–naranān tuchchha sukh pratye lahe shun mohane,
munipravar je jāṇe, jue ne chintave chhe mokṣhane? 131.

uttharai jā ṇa jarao royaggī jā ṇa ḍahai dehauḍĩn.
indiy balan ṇa viyalai tāv tuman kuṇahi appahiyan.. 132..
ākramate yāvanna jarā rogāgniryāvanna dahati dehakuṭīm.
indriyabalan na vigalati tāvat tvan kuru ātmahitam.. 132..

arthaḥ––he mune! jab tak tere jarā (burḥāpā) na āve tathā jab tak rogarūpī agni terī deharūpī kuṭī ko bhasma na kare aur jab tak indriyoṅkā bal na ghaṭe tab tak apanā hit karalo. bhāvārthaḥ––vr̥uddha avasthāmen deh rogonse jarjarit ho jātā hai, indriyān̐ kṣhīṇ ho jātī hain tab asamartha hokar is lokake kārya uṭhanā–baiṭhanā bhī nahīn kar sakatā hai tab paralokasambandhī tapashcharaṇādik tathā gnānābhyās aur svarūpakā anubhavādi kārya kaise kare? isaliye yah upadesh hai ki jab tak sāmarthya hai tab tak apanā hitarūp kārya kar lo.. 132..

āge ahinsādharma ke upadeshakā varṇan karate hainḥ–––

chhajjīv chhaḍāyadaṇan ṇichchan maṇavayaṇakāyajoehĩn.
kuru day parihar muṇivar bhāvi apuvvan mahāsattan
1.. 133..
2ṣhaṭjīvān ṣhaḍāyatanānān nityan manochachanakāyayogaiḥ.
kuru dayān parihar munivar bhāvay apūrva mahāsatvam.. 133..

arthaḥ––he munivar! tū chhahakāy ke jīvon par dayā kar aur chhah anāyaton ko ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

re ākrame na jarā, gadāgni dahe na tanakuṭi jyān lagī,
baḷ indriyonun nav ghaṭe, karī le tun nijahit tyān lagī. 132.

chha anāyatan taj, kar dayā ṣhaṭjīvanī
3trividhe sadā,
mahāsattvane tun bhāv re! apūravapaṇe he munivarā! 133.

244] [aṣhṭapāhuḍ

bhāvapāhuḍ][245 man, vachan, kāyake yogon se chhoṛ tathā apūrva jo pahile na huā aisā mahāsattva arthāt sab jīvon men vyāpak (gnāyak) mahāsattva chetanā bhāvako bhā. bhāvārthaḥ––anādikālase jīvakā svarūp chetanāsvarūp na jānā isaliye jīvoh kī hinsā kī, ataḥ yah upadesh hai ki–––ab jīvātmākā svarūp jānakar, chhahakāyake jīvompar dayākara. anādi hī se āpta, āgam, padārthakā aur inakī sevā karanevālon kā savarūp jānā nahīn, isaliye anāpta ādi chhah anāyatan jo mokṣhamārga ke sthān nahīn hain unako achchhe samajhakar sevan kiyā, ataḥ yah upadesh hai ki anāyatan kā parihār kara. jīvake svarūp ke upadeshak ye donon hī tūne pahile jāne nahīn, na bhāvanā kī, isaliye ab bhāvanā kar, isaprakār upadesh hai.. 133..

āge kahate hain ki–––jīvakā tathā upadesh karane vāle kā svarūp jāne binā sab jīvon ke prāṇon kā ahār kiyā, isaprakār dikhāte hainḥ–––

dasavihapāṇāhāro aṇantabhavasāyare bhamanteṇa.
bhoyasuhakāraṇaṭṭhan kado ya tiviheṇ sayal jīvāṇan.. 134..
dashavidhaprāṇāhāraḥ ananta bhavasāyare bhramatā.
bhogasukhakāraṇārthan kr̥utashcha trividhen sakalajīvānā̃n.. 134..

arthaḥ
––he mune! he mahāyash! tūne prāṇiyon ke ghāt se chaurāsī lākh yoniyon ke madhya men
utpanna hote hue or marate hue nirantar duḥkh pāyā.

bhāvārthaḥ––jinamat ke upadesh ke binā, jīvoṅkī hinsāse yah jīv chaurāsī lākh
yoniyommen utpanna hotā hai aur maratā hai. hinsā se karmabandh hotā hai, karmabandha ke uday se
utpatti – maraṇarūp sansār hotā hai. isaprakār janma – maraṇ ke duḥkh sahatā hai, isaliye
jīvoṅkī dayā kā upadesh hai.. 135..

āge us dayā hī kā upadesh karate hainḥ––––
jīvāṇamathayadāṇan dehi muṇī pāṇibhūyasattāṇan.
kallāṇasuhaṇimittan paramparā tivihasuddhīe.. 136..
jīvānāmabhayadānan dehi mune prāṇibhūtasattvānām.
kalyāṇasukhanimittan paramparayā trividh shuddhayā.. 136..

arthaḥ
––he mune! jīvon ko aur prāṇībhūt sattvon ko apanā paramparā se kalyāṇ aur sukh
hone ke liye man, vachan, kāy kī shuddhatā se abhayadān de.

bhāvārthaḥ––‘jīv’ pañchendriy ko kahate hain, ‘prāṇī’ vikalatray ko kahate hain, ‘bhūt’

vanaspati ko kahate hain aur ‘sattva’ pr̥ithvī, ap, tej, vāyu ko kahate haĩn. in sab jīvoṅko apane samān jānakar abhayadān dene kā upadesh hai. isase shubh prakr̥itiyon kā bandh hone se abhyudayakā sukh hotā hai, ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

bhāvapāhuḍ][247 paramparā se tīrthaṅkarapad pākar mokṣha pātā hai, yah upadesh hai.. 136.. āge yah jīv ṣhaṭ anāyatan ke prasaṅgase mithyātvase sansār men bhramaṇ karatā hai usakā svarūp kahate haĩn. pahile mithtātva ke bhedoṅko kahate haiḥ–––

asiyasay kiriyavāī akkiriyāṇan cha hoi chulasīdī.
sattaṭṭhī aṇṇāṇī veṇaiyā honti battīsā.. 137..
ashīvishatan kriyāvādināmakriyamāṇan cha bhavati chaturashītiḥ.
saptaṣhaṣhṭiragnāninān vainayikānān bhavati dvātrishat.. 137..

arthaḥ–––ekasau assī kriyāvādī hain, chaurāsī akriyāvādiyon ke bhed hain, agnānī saṛasaṭh bhedarūp hain aur vinayavādī battīs haĩn. bhāvārthaḥ––vastu kā svarūp anantadharmasvarūp sarvagna ne kahā hai, vah pramāṇ aur nayase satyārtha siddha hotā hai. jinake mat men sarvagna nahīn hain tathā sarvagnase svarūpakā yathārtha rūpase nishchay karake usakā shraddhān nahīn kiyā hai––aise anyavādiyonne vastukā ek dharma grahaṇ karake usakā pakṣhapāt kiyā ki hamane isaprakār mānā hai, vah ‘aise hī hai, anya prakār nahīn hai.’ isaprakār vidhi–niṣhedh karake ek–ek dharmake pakṣhapātī ho gaye, unake ye saṅkṣhep se tīnasau tresaṭh bhed ho gaye haĩn. kriyāvādīḥ–––kaī to gaman karanā, baiṭhanā, khaṛe rahanā, khānā, pīnā, sonā, utpanna honā, naṣhṭa honā, dekhanā, jānanā, karanā, bhoganā, bhūlanā, yād karanā, prīti karanā, harṣha karanā, viṣhād karanā, dveṣh karanā, jīnā, maranā ityādik kriyāyen hain; inako jīvādik padārthon ke dekh kar kisī ne kisī kriyākā pakṣha kiyā hai aur kisī ne kisī kriyā kā pakṣha kiyā hai. aise paramparā kriyāvivād se bhed hue hain, inake saṅkṣhep ekasau assī bhed nirūpaṇ kiye hain, vistār karane par bahut ho jāte haĩn. kaī akriyāvādī hain, ye jīvādik padārthon men kriyā kā abhāv mānakar āpasamen ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

vivād karate haĩn. kaī kahate hain jīv jānatā nahīn hai, kaī kahate hain kuchh karatā nahīn hai, kaī kahate hain bhogatā nahīn hai, kaī kahate hain utpanna nahīn hotā hai, kaī kahate hain naṣhṭa nahīn hotā hai, kaī kahate hain gaman nahīn karatā hai aur kaī kahate hain ṭhaharatā nahīn hai–––ityādi kriyā ke abhāv se pakṣhapāt se sarvathā ekāntī hote haĩn. inake saṅkṣhepase chaurāsī bhed haĩn. kaī agnānavādī hain, inamen kaī to sarvagna kā abhāv mānate hain, kaī kahate hain jīv asti hai yah kaun jāne? kaī kahate hain jīv nāsti hai yah kaun jāne? kaī kahate hain jīv nitya hai yah kaun jāne? kaī kahate hain jīv anitya hai yah kaun jāne? ityādi sanshay–viparyay– anadhyavasāyarūp hokar vivād karate hai. inake saṅkṣhepase saṛasaṭh bhed haĩn. kaī vinayavādī hain, unamen se kaī kahate hain devādikake vinay se siddhi hai, kaī kahate hain guruke vinay se siddhi hai, kaī kahate hain mātāke vinay se siddhi hai, kaī kahate hain ki pitā ke vinay se siddhi hai, kaī kahate hain ki rājā ke vinay se siddhi hai, kaī kahate hain ki sevak ke vinay se siddhi hai, ityādi vivād karate haĩn. inake saṅkṣhep se battīs bhed haĩn. isaprakār sarvathā ekāntavādiyoṅke tīnasautresaṭh bhed saṅkṣhep se hain, vistār karane par bahut ho jāte hain, inamen kaī īshvaravādī hain, kaī kālavādī hain, kaī svabhāvavādī hain, kaī vinayavādī hain, kaī ātmavādī haĩn. inakā svarūp gommaṭasārādi granthonse jānanā, aise mithyātva ke bhed haĩn.. 137.. āge kahate hain ki abhavyajīv apanī prakr̥itiko nahīn chhoṛatā hai, usakā mithyātva nahīn miṭatā haiḥ–––

ṇa muyai payaḍi abhavvo suṭṭhu vi āyaṇṇiūṇ jiṇadhamman.
guḍaduddhan pi pitā ṇa paṇṇayā ṇivvisā honti.. 138..

arthaḥ––abhavyajīv bhaleprakār jinadharmako sunakar bhī apanī prakr̥itiko nahīn chhoṛatā hai . yahān̐ dr̥uṣhṭāhat hai ki sarpa guṛasahit dūdhako pīte rahane par bhī viṣh rahit nahīn hotā hai. bhāvārthaḥ––jo kāraṇ pākar bhī nahīn chhūṭatā hai use ‘prakr̥iti’ yā ‘svabhāv’ kahate haĩn. abhavyakā yah svabhāv hai ki jisamen anekānta tattvasvarūp hai aise vītarāg– vignānasvarūp jinadharma mithyātva ko miṭāne vālā hai, usakā bhale prakār svarūp sunakar bhī jisakā mithyātvasvarūp bhāv nahīn badalatā hai vah vastukā svarūp hai, kisī kā nahīn kiyā huā hai. yahān̐, upadesh – apekṣhā isaprakār jānanā ki jo abhavyarūp prakr̥iti to sarvagna gamya hai, to bhī abhavya kī prakr̥iti ke samān apanī prakr̥iti na rakhanā, mithyātva ko chhoṛanā yah upadesh hai.. 138.. āge isī arthako dr̥urḥ karate hainḥ–––

michchhattachhaṇṇadiṭṭhī duddhīe dummaehin dosehĩn.
dhamman jiṇapaṇṇattan abhavvajīvo ṇa rochedi.. 139..
mithyātvachhannadraṣhṭiḥ durdhiyā durmataiḥ doṣhaiḥ.
dharma jinapragnaptan abhavyajīvaḥ na rochayati.. 139..

arthaḥ
––durmat jo sarvathā ekānta mat, unase prarūpit anyamat, ve hī hue doṣh unake
dvārā apanī durbuddhi se
(mithyātva se) āchchhādit hai buddhi jisakī, aisā abhavyajīv hai use
jinapraṇīt dharma nahīn ruchatā hai, vah usakī shraddhā nahīn karatā hai, usamen ruchi nahīn karatā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––mithyātva ke upadesh se apanī durbuddhi dvārā jisake pās mithyādr̥uṣhṭi hai
usako jinadharma nahīn ruchatā hai, tab gnāt hotā hai ki ye abhavyajīv ke bhāv haĩn. yathārtha
abhavyajīv ko to sarvagna jānate hain, parantu ye abhavya jīvake chinha hain, inase parīkṣhā dvārā jānā
jātā hai.. 139..

āge kahate hain ki aise mithyātva ke nimitta se durgati kā pātra hotā haiḥ–––

arthaḥ––āchārya kahate hain ki jo kutsit (nindya) mithyādharma men rat (līn) hain, jo pākhaṇḍī nindyabheṣhiyon kī bhaktisanyukta hain, jo nindya mithyātvadharma pālatā hai, mithyādr̥uṣhṭiyon kī bhakti karatā hai aur mithyā agnānatap karatā hai, vah durgati hī pātā hai, yah upadesh hai.. 140.. āge is hī arthako dr̥urḥ karate hue kahate hai ki aise mithyātvase mohit jīv sansār bhramaṇ karatā haiḥ–––

iy michchhattāvāse kuṇayakusatthehin mohio jīvo.
bhamio aṇāikālan sansāre dhīr chintehi.. 141..
iti mithyātvāvāse kunayashāstraiḥ mohitaḥ jīvaḥ.
bhramitaḥ anādikālan sansāre dhīr! chintaya.. 141..

arthaḥ–– iti arthāt pūrvokta prakār mithyātvakā āvās (sthān) yah mithyādr̥uṣhṭiyon kā sansār men kunay – sarvathā ekānta un sahit kushāstra, unase mohit (behosh) huā yah jīv anādikāl se lagākar sansār men bhramaṇ kar rahā hai, aise he dhīr mune! tū vichār kara. bhāvārthaḥ––āchārya kahate hain ki pūrvokta tīn sau tresaṭh kuvādiyon se sarvathā ekāntapakṣharūp kunayadvārā rache hue shāstronse mohit hokar yah jīv sansār men anādikālase bhramaṇ karatā hai, so he dhīr muni! ab aise kuvādiyon kī saṅgati bhī mat kar, yah upadesh hai.. 141.. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– ––––––––––––––

runddhi manaḥ jinamārge asatpralāpen kin bahunā.. 142..
arthaḥ–––he jīv! tīn sau tresaṭh pākhaṇṛiyon ke mārga ko chhoṛakar jinamārga men apane
manako rok
(lagā) yah saṅkṣhep hai aur nirarthak pralāparūp kahanese kyā?

bhāvārthaḥ––isaprakār mithyātvakā varṇan kiyā. āchārya kahate hain ki bahut nirarthak vachanālāp se kyā? itanā hī saṅkṣhep se kahate hai ki tīnasau tresaṭh kuvādi pākhaṇḍī kahe unakā mārga chhoṛakar jinamārga men manako roko, anyatra na jāne do. yahān̐ itanā aur visheṣh jānanā ki––kāladoṣh se is pañchamakāl men anek pakṣhapātase man–matāntar ho gaye hain, unako bhī mithyā jānakar unakā prasaṅg na karo. sarvathā ekāntakā pakṣhapāt chhoṛakar anekāntarūp jinavachan kī sharaṇ lo.. 142..

āge samyagdarshanakā nirūpaṇ karate hain, pahile kahate hain ki’samyagdarshan rahit prāṇī chalatā huā mr̥utak’ haiḥ–––

jīvavimuktaḥ shavaḥ darshanamuktashcha bhavati chalashavaḥ.
shavaḥ loke apūjyaḥ lokottare chalashavaḥ.. 143..
javivimukko sabao dansaṇamukko ya hoi chalasabao.
sabao loyaapujjo louttarayammi chalasabao.. 143..

arthaḥ––lokamen jīvarahit sharīrako ‘shav’ kahate hain, ‘mr̥utak’ yā ‘muradā’ kahate hain, vaise hī samyagdarshan rahit puruṣh ‘chalatā huā mr̥utak’ hai. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

unmārgane chhoḍī trishat–tesaṭhapramit pākhaṇḍīnā,
jinamārgamān man rok; bahu pralapan nirarthathī shun bhalā? 142.

jīvamukta shab kahevāy‘chal shab’ jāṇ darshanamuktane;
shab lok mānhī apūjya, chal shab hoy lokottar viṣhe. 143.

mr̥utak to lokamen apūjya hai, agnise jalāyā jātā hai yā pr̥ithvī men gāṛ diyā jātā hai aur ‘darshanarahit chalatā huā muradā’ lokottar jo muni – samyagdr̥uṣhṭi unamen apūjya hai, ve usako vandanādi nahīn karate haĩn. munibheṣh dhāraṇ karatā hai to bhī use saṅghake bāhar rakhate hain athavā paralokamen nindyagati pākar apūjya hotā hai. bhāvārthaḥ––samyagdarshan binā puruṣh mr̥utakatulya hai.. 143..

āge samyaktvakā mahānapanā kahate haiḥ–––

jah tārayāṇ chando mayarāo mayaulāṇ savvāṇan.
ahio tah sammatto risisāvayaduvihadhammāṇan.. 144..
yathā tārakāṇān chandraḥ mr̥ugarājaḥ mr̥ugakulānān sarveṣhām.
adhikaḥ tathā samyaktvan r̥uṣhishrāvakadvividh dharmāṇām.. 144..

arthaḥ––jaise tārāon ke samūh men chandramā adhik hain aur mr̥ugakul arthāt pashuon ke samūh men mr̥ugarāj (sinh) adhik hain, vaise hī r̥uṣhi (muni) aur shrāvak in do prakār ke dharmon men samyaktva hain vah adhik haĩn. bhāvārthaḥ––vyavahāradharma kī jitanī pravr̥uttiyān̐ hain unamen samyaktva adhik, isake binā sab sansāramārga bandhakā kāraṇ hai.. 144.. phir kahate hainḥ––– jah phaṇirāo 1sohai phaṇamaṇimāṇikkakiraṇ vipphurio. tah vimal dansaṇadharo 2jiṇabhattī pavayaṇe jīvo.. 145.. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

(dharaṇendra) hai so phaṇ jo sahastra phaṇ unamen lage hue maṇiyon
ke bīch jo lāl – māṇikya unakī kiraṇonse visphurit (dedīpyamān) shobhā pātā hai, vaise hī
jinabhaktisahit nirmal samyakdarshan kā dhārak jīv pravachan arthāt mokṣhamārga ke prarūpaṇ men
shobhā pātā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ–––samyaktva sahit jīvakī jin–pravachanamen baṛī adhikatā hai. jahān̐ – tahān̐
(sab jagah) shāstron men samyaktvakī hī pradhānatā kahī hai.. 145..

āge samyagdarshan sahit liṅg hai usakī mahimā kahate hainḥ–––
jah tārāyaṇasahiyan sasaharabimban khamaṇḍale vimale.

yathā tārāgaṇasahitan shashadharabimban khamaṇḍale vimale.

––jaise nirmal ākāsh maṇḍal men tāroṅke samūh sahit chandramākā bimb shobhā pātā
hai, vaise hī jinashāsan men darshanase vishuddha aur bhāvit kiye hue tap tathā vratonse nirmal
jinaliṅg hai so shobhā pātā hai.

bhāvārthaḥ––jinaliṅg arthāt ‘nirgranth munibheṣh’ yadyapi tap–vratasahit nirmal hai, to bhī
samyagdarshan ke binā shobhā nahīn pātā hai. isake hone par hī atyanta shobhāyamān hotā hai..

arthaḥ––he mune! tū ‘iti’ arthāt pūrvokta prakār samyaktvake guṇ aur mithyātvake doṣhoṅko jānakar samyaktvarūpī ratnako bhāvapūrvak dhāraṇ kara. yah guṇarūpī ratnommen sār hai aur mokṣharūpī mandirakā pratham sopān hai arthāt charḥane ke liye pahilī sīrḥī hai. bhāvārthaḥ––jitane bhī vyavahār mokṣhamārga ke aṅg hain, (gr̥uhasthake dān – pūjādik aur munike mahāvrat – shīlasanyamādik) un sabamen sār samyagdarshan hai, isase sab saphal hain, isaliye mithyātva ko chhoṛakar samyagdarshan aṅgīkār karo, yah pradhān upadesh hai.. 147.. āge kahate hain ki samyagdarshan kisako hotā hai? jo jīv, jīvapadārtha ke svarūp ko jānakar isakī bhāvanā kare, isakā shraddhān karake apane ko jīv padārtha jānakar anubhav dvārā pratīti kare usake hotā hai. isaliye ab yah jīvapadārtha kaisā hai usakā svarūp kahate hainḥ–– –

īm jāṇīne guṇadoṣh dhāro bhāvathī dagaratnane,
je sār guṇaratno viṣhe ne pratham shivasopān chhe. 147.

kartā tathā bhoktā, anādi–anant, dehapramāṇ ne,
vaṇamūrti, dagagnānopayogī jīv bhākhyo jinavare. 148.

arthaḥ–––––‘jīv’ nāmak padārtha hai so kaisā hai–––karttā hai, bhoktā hai, amūrtik hai, sharīrapramāṇ hai, anādi nidhan hai, darshan – gnān upayogavālā hai, isaprakār jinavarendra sarvagnadev vītarāg ne kahā hai. bhāvārthaḥ––yahān̐ ‘jīv’ nāmak padārtha ke chhah visheṣhaṇ kahe. inakā āshay aisā hai ki– ––– 1 – ‘kartā’ kahā, vah nishchayanay se apane ashuddha bhāvoṅkā agnān avasthā men āp hī kartā hai tathā vyavahāranayase gnānāvaraṇādi pudgal karmon kā kartā hai aur shuddhanay se apane shuddhabhāvon kā kartā hai. 2 bhoktā’ kahā, vah nishchayanayase to apane gnān – darshanamayī chetanābhāvakā bhoktā hai aur vyavahār nayase pudgalakarmake phal jo sukh–duḥkh ādikā bhoktā hai. 3 – ‘amūrtik’ kahā, vah nishchayase to sparsha, ras, gandha, varṇa, shabda ye pudgal ke guṇ–paryāy hain, inase rahit amūrtik hai aur vyavahār se jabatak pudgal karmase bandhā hai tab tak ‘mūrtik’ bhī kahate haĩn. 4 – ‘sharīraparimāṇ’ kahā, vah nishchayase to asaṅkhyātapradeshī lokaparimāṇ hai, parantu saṅkoch – vistārashaktise sharīr se kuchh kam pradesh pramāṇ ākār men hai. 5 – ‘anādinidhan’ kahā, vah paryāyadr̥uṣhṭi se dekhane par to utpanna hotā hai, naṣhṭa hotā hai, to bhī dravyadr̥uṣhṭise dekhā jāye to anādinidhan sadā nitya avināshī hai.

6 – ‘darshan – gnān upayogasahit’ kahā, vah dekhane–jānanerūp upayogasvarūp chetanārūp hai.

in visheṣhaṇonse anyamatī anyaprakār sarvathā ekāntarūp mānate hain unakā niṣhedh bhī jānanā chāhiye. ‘kartā’ visheṣhaṇase to sāṅkhyamatī sarvathā akartā mānatā hai usakā niṣhedh hai. ‘bhoktā’ visheṣhaṇase bauddhamatī kṣhaṇik mānakar kahatā hai ki karma ko karane vālā to or hai tathā bhogane vālā or hai, isakā niṣhedh hai. jo jīv karma karatā hai usakā phal vahī jīv bhogatā hai, is kathan se bauddhamatī ke kahane kā niṣhedh hai. ‘amūrtik’ kahane se mīmānsak ādi ise sharīr sahit mūrtik hī mānate hain, unakā niṣhedh hai. ‘sharīrapramāṇ’ kahane se naiyāyik, vaisheṣhik, vedāntī ādi sarvathā, sarvavyāpak mānate hain unakā niṣhedh hai. ‘anādinidhan’ kahanese bauddhamatī sarvathā kṣhaṇasthāyī mānatā hai , usakā niṣhedh hai. ‘darshanagnānaupayogamayī’ kahane se sāṅkhyamatī

to gnānarahit chetanāmātra mānatā hai, naiyāyik, vaisheṣhik, guṇaguṇīke sarvathā bhed mānakar gnān aur jīvake sarvathā bhed mānate hain, bauddhamatakā visheṣh ‘vignānādvaitavādī’ gnānamātra hī mānatā hai aur vedāntī gnānakā kuchh nirūpaṇ hī nahīn karatā hai, in sabakā niṣhedh hai. isaprakār sarvagnakā kahā huā jīvakā svarūp jānakar apane ko aisā mānakar shraddhā, ruchi, pratīti karanā chāhiye. jīv kahane se ajīv padārtha bhī jānā jātā hai, ajīv na ho to jīv nām kaise hotā? isaliye ajīv kā svarūp kyā hai, vaisā hī usakā shraddhān āgam anusār karanā. isaprakār ajīv padārtha kā svarūp jānakar aur donoṅke sanyog se anya āsrav, bandh, samvar, nirjarā, mokṣha in bhāvon kī pravr̥utti hotī hai. inakā āgam ke anusār svarūp jānakar shraddhān karane se samyagdarshan kī prāpti hotī hai, isaprakār jānanā chāhiye.. 148..

āge kahate hai ki yah jīv ‘gnān–darshan upayogamayī hai’, kintu anādi paudgalik karmake sanyog se isake gnān –darshan kī pūrṇatā nahīn hotī hai, isaliye alpa gnān–darshan anubhav men ātā hai aur usamen agnānake nimitta se iṣhṭa– aniṣhṭa buddhirūp rāg–dveṣh–moh bhāvake dvārā gnān– darshanamen kaluṣhatārūp sukh–duḥkhādik bhāv anubhavamen āte haĩn. yah jīv nijabhāvanārūp samyagdarshanako prāpta hotā hai tab gnān – darshan – sukh –vīryake ghātak karmoṅkā nāsh karatā hai, aisā dikhāte hainḥ–––

dansaṇaṇāṇāvaraṇan mohaṇiyan antarāiyan kamman.
ṇiṭṭhavai bhaviy jīvo samman jiṇabhāvaṇājutto.. 149..
darshan gnānāvaraṇan mohanīyan antarāyakan karma.
niṣhṭhāpayati bhavyajīvāḥ samyak jinabhāvanāyuktaḥ.. 149..

arthaḥ––samyakprakār jinabhāvanāse yukta bhavyajīv hai vah gnānāvaraṇ, darshanāvaraṇ, mohanīy, antarāy in chār ghātiyā karmoṅkā niṣhṭhānapan karatā hai arthāt sampūrṇa abhāv karatā hai. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

dagagnānaāvr̥uti, moh temaj antarāyak karmane
samyakpaṇe jinabhāvanāthī bhavya ātmā kṣhay kare. 149.
