hastāmalakavat jāṇe chhe, tathā em paṇ jāṇe chhe ke‘āno jāṇavāvāḷo hun chhun’ parantu ‘hun
gnānasvarūp chhun’evo potāne paradravyathī bhinna kevaḷ chaitanyadravya anubhavato nathī,
māṭe ātmagnānashūnya āgamagnān paṇ kāryakārī nathī.
e pramāṇe te samyaggnān arthe jainashāstrono abhyās kare chhe topaṇ tene samyaggnān nathī.
samyakchāritra arthe thatī pravr̥uttimān ayathārthatā
have tene samyakchāritra arthe kevī pravr̥utti chhe te kahīe chhīe
bāhyakriyā upar to tene draṣhṭi chhe paṇ pariṇām sudhāravā-bagāḍavāno vichār nathī;
jo pariṇāmonoe paṇ vichār thāy to jevo potāno pariṇām thato dekhe tenā ja upar draṣhṭi
rahe chhe; parantu te pariṇāmonī paramparā vichāratān abhiprāyamān
je vāsanā chhe tene vichārato
nathī, ane phaḷ to abhiprāyamān vāsanā chhe tenun lāge chhe. tenun visheṣh vyākhyān
āgaḷ karīshun tyān tenun svarūp barābar bhāsashe.
evī oḷakhāṇ vinā tene mātra bāhya ācharaṇano ja udyam chhe.
tyān koī jīv to kuḷakramathī vā dekhādekhī vā krodh-mān-māyā-lobhādithī ācharaṇ
āchare chhe temane to dharmabuddhi ja nathī to samyakchāritra to kyāthī hoy? e jīvomān koī
to bhoḷā chhe tathā koī kaṣhāyī chhe. have jyān agnānabhāv ane kaṣhāy hoy tyān samyakchāritra
hotun ja nathī.
koī jīv evun māne chhe kejāṇavāmān shun chhe, kanīk karīshun to phaḷ prāpta thashe; evun
vichārī teo vrat-tapādi kriyānā ja udyamī rahe chhe paṇ tattvagnānano upāy karatā nathī; have
tattvagnān vinā mahāvratādikanun ācharaṇ paṇ mithyāchāritra nām ja pāme chhe tathā tattvagnān
thatān kāī paṇ vratādik na hoy topaṇ te asanyatasamyagdraṣhṭi nām pāme chhe; māṭe pahelān
tattvagnānano upāy karavo, pachhī kaṣhāy ghaṭāḍavā arthe bāhyasādhan karavān. shrī yogendradevakr̥ut

दंसणभूमिह बाहिरा जिय वयरुक्ख ण होंति।
arthaḥhe jīv! ā samyagdarshanabhūmi vinā vratarūpī vr̥ukṣha na thāy. arthātje
jīvone tattvagnān nathī teo yathārtha ācharaṇ ācharatā nathī.
vāt siddha thāy chhe ke-vītarāganirvikalpasamādhirūp ātmagnānathī shūnya puruṣhanī āgamagnān, tattvārthashraddhān
ane sanyamabhāvanī ekatā paṇ kiñchit kāryakārī nathī.

e ja ahīn visheṣh darshāvīe chhīe
koī jīv pahelān to moṭī pratignā dhāraṇ karī bese chhe paṇ antaraṅgamān viṣhay-
kaṣhāyavāsanā maṭī nathī tethī jematem karī pratignā pūrṇa karavā ichchhe chhe; tyān te pratignāthī
pariṇām duḥkhī thāy chhe. jem koī ghaṇā upavās ādarī beṭhā pachhī pīḍāthī duḥkhī thato
rogīnī māphak kāḷ gumāve chhe paṇ dharmasādhan karato nathī; to pratham ja sādhī shakāy teṭalī
ja pratignā kem na laīe? duḥkhī thavāmān to ārttadhyān thāy ane tenun phaḷ bhalun kyāthī
āvashe? athavā e pratignānun duḥkh na sahan thāy tyāre tenī avej (avejīmān-badalāmān)
viṣhay poṣhavā arthe te anya upāy kare chhe, jemake
taras lāge tyāre pāṇī to na pīe paṇ
anya anek prakāranā shītal upachār kare chhe, vā ghī to chhoḍe paṇ anya snigdhavastu upāy
karīne paṇ bhakṣhaṇ kare, e pramāṇe anya paṇ jāṇavun.
have jo parīṣhah sahyā jatā nathī tathā viṣhayavāsanā chhūṭī nathī to evī pratignā
shāmāṭe karī ke sugam viṣhay chhoḍī viṣham viṣhayanā upāy karavā paḍe! evun kārya shā māṭe
karo chho? tyān to ūlaṭo rāgabhāv tīvra thāy chhe.
athavā pratignāmān duḥkh thāy tyāre pariṇām lagāvavā māṭe koī ālamban vichāre chhe;
jem koī upavās karī pachhī krīḍā karavā lāge chhe, koī pāpī jugārādi kuvyasanamān lāge
chhe, tathā koī sūī rahevā ichchhe chhe, e em jāṇe chhe ke koī paṇ prakārathī vakhat pūro
karavo. e ja pramāṇe anya pratignāmān paṇ samajavun.
athavā koī pāpī evā paṇ chhe ke pahelān to pratignā kare paṇ pachhī tenāthī duḥkhī
thāy tyāre tene chhoḍī de, pratignā levīmūkavī e tene khel mātra chhe. paṇ pratignā bhaṅg karavānun
to mahāpāp chhe, e karatān to pratignā na levī ja bhalī chhe.
e pramāṇe pahelān to vichār sivāy pratignā kare ane pāchhaḷathī evī dashā thāy.
have jainadharmamān pratignā na levā badal daṇḍ to chhe nahi, jainadharmamān to evo
upadesh chhe kepahelān tattvagnānī thāy, pachhī jeno tyāg kare tenā doṣh oḷakhe;
tyāg karavāthī je guṇ thāy tene jāṇe ane potānā pariṇāmono vichār kare;
vartamān pariṇāmonā ja bharose pratignā na karī bese
parantu bhaviṣhyamān teno nirvāh
thato jāṇe to pratignā kare, vaḷī sharīranī shakti vā dravyakṣhetrakāḷbhāvādikano paṇ vichār
kare, ā pramāṇe vichār karyā pachhī pratignā karavī yogya chhe; te paṇ evī pratignā karavī ke
je pratignā pratye nirādarabhāv na thāy paṇ chaḍhatābhāv rahe, evī jainadharmanī āmnāy chhe.

pāraṇānān bhojanamān atilobhī thaī gariṣhṭādi bhojan kare chhe, utāvaḷ ghaṇī kare chhe;
jem jaḷane rokī rākhyun hatun te jyāre chhūṭyun tyāre ghaṇo pravāh vahevā lāgyo, tem āṇe
pratignāthī viṣhayapravr̥utti rokī, paṇ antaraṅgamān āsaktatā vadhī gaī ane pratignā pūrī thatān ja
atyant viṣhayapravr̥utti thavā lāgī, eṭale tene pratignānā kāḷamān paṇ viṣhayavāsanā maṭī nathī
tathā āgaḷ
pāchhaḷ tenī avej upar (avejī arthāt badalā upar) adhik rāg karyo, paṇ
phaḷ to rāgabhāv maṭatān ja thashe; māṭe jeṭalī viraktatā thaī hoy teṭalī ja pratignā karavī.
mahāmuni paṇ thoḍī pratignā karī pachhī āhārādimān uchhaṭi (ochhap
ghaṭāḍo) kare chhe, tathā
moṭī pratignā kare chhe to potānī shakti vichārī kare chhe paṇ jem pariṇām chaḍhatā rahe tem
kare chhe; māṭe jethī pramād paṇ na thāy tathā ākuḷatā paṇ na upaje evī pravr̥utti kāryakārī
chhe, em samajavun.
vaḷī jene dharma upar draṣhṭi nathī te paṇ koī veḷā to moṭo dharma āchare chhe tyāre
koī veḷā adhik svachchhandī thaī pravarte chhe. jem koī dharmaparvamān to ghaṇā upavāsādi kare chhe
tyāre koī dharmaparvamān vāramvār bhojanādi kare chhe; have jo tene dharmabuddhi hoy to sarva
dharmaparvomān yathāyogya sanyamādik dhāraṇ kare. vaḷī koī veḷā koī kāryomān to ghaṇun dhan kharche
tyāre koī veḷā koī dharmakārya āvī prāpta thayun hoy to paṇ tyān thoḍun paṇ dhan na kharche;
jo tene dharmabuddhi hoy to yathāshakti sarva dharmakāryomān ja yathāyogya dhan kharchyā kare. e ja
pramāṇe anya paṇ jāṇavun.
vaḷī jene sāchun dharmasādhan nathī te koī kriyā to ghaṇī moṭī aṅgīkār kare chhe tyāre
koī hīn kriyā kare chhe; jem dhanādikano to tyāg karyo ane sārān bhojan, sārān vastra ityādi
viṣhayomān visheṣh pravarte chhe, tathā koī pāyajāmo paheravo vā strīsevan karavun ityādi kāryono
tyāg karī dharmātmāpaṇun pragaṭ kare chhe ane pachhī khoṭā vyāpārādi kārya kare chhe tathā tyān
lokanindya pāpakriyāmān paṇ pravarte chhe; e ja pramāṇe koī kriyā ati ūñchī tathā koī ati
nīchī kare chhe tyān lokanindya thaīne dharmanī hānsī karāve chhe ke
‘‘juo, amuk dharmātmā āvān
kārya kare chhe!’’ jem koī puruṣh ek vastra to ati uttam pahere tathā ek vastra ati hīn
pahere to te hāsyapātra ja thāy, tem ā paṇ hānsī ja pāme chhe.

sāchā dharmanī to ā āmnāy chhe kejeṭalā potānā rāgādik dūr thayā hoy te
anusār je padamān je dharmakriyā sambhave te badhī aṅgīkār kare, jo thoḍā rāgādik maṭyā hoy
to nīchā ja padamān pravarte, parantu uchchapad dharāvī nīchī kriyā na kare.
prashnaḥstrīsevanādino tyāg uparanī pratimāmān kahyo chhe to nīchalī avasthāvāḷo
teno tyāg kare ke na kare?
uttaraḥnīchalī avasthāvāḷo teno sarvathā tyāg karī shakato nathī, koī doṣh lāge
chhe tethī uparanī pratimāmān teno tyāg kahyo chhe, paṇ nīchalī avasthāmān je prakārathī tyāg
sambhave tevo tyāg nīchalī avasthāvāḷo paṇ kare, parantu je nīchalī avasthāmān je kārya sambhave
ja nahi tevo tyāg karavo to kaṣhāyabhāvothī ja thāy chhe. jem koī sāt vyasan to seve
ane svastrīno tyāg kare e kem bane? joke svastrīno tyāg karavo e dharma chhe, topaṇ pahelān
sāt vyasanano tyāg thāy tyāre ja svastrīno tyāg karavo yogya chhe. e ja pramāṇe anya
paṇ samajavun.
vaḷī sarvaprakārathī dharmanā svarūpane nahi jāṇatā evā keṭalāk jīvo, koī dharmanā
aṅgane mukhya karī anya dharmone gauṇ kare chhe. jem koī jīvadayā dharmane mukhya karī pūjā
prabhāvanādi kāryone uthāpe chhe, koī pūjāprabhāvanādi dharmane mukhya karī hinsādikano bhay
rākhatā nathī, keṭalāk tapanī mukhyatā karī ārtadhyānādi karīne paṇ upavāsādik kare chhe vā
potāne tapasvī mānī niḥshaṅk krodhādik kare chhe, keṭalāk dānanī mukhyatā karī ghaṇān pāp karīne
paṇ dhan upajāvī dān āpe chhe, keṭalāk ārambhatyāganī mukhyatā karī yāchanā ādi karavā
lāgī jāy chhe, tathā keṭalāk jīvahinsā mukhya karī jaḷavaḍe snān
shauchādik karatā nathī vā
laukik kārya āvatān dharma chhoḍīne paṇ tyān lāgī jāy chhe, ityādi prakārathī koī dharmane mukhya
karī anya dharmane gaṇatā nathī vā tene āshraye pāp paṇ āchare chhe. jem koī avivekī
vyāpārīne koī vyāpāranā naphā arthe anya prakārathī ghaṇo toṭo thāy chhe tevun ā kārya thayun.
jem vivekī vyāpārīnun prayojan napho chhe tethī te sarva vichār karī jem napho ghaṇo
thāy tem kare; tem gnānīnun prayojan vītarāgabhāv chhe, tethī te sarva vichār karī jem
vītarāgabhāv ghaṇo thāy tem kare, kāraṇ ke mūḷadharma vītarāgabhāv chhe.
e pramāṇe avivekī jīv anyathā dharma aṅgīkār kare chhe tethī temane to samyak-
chāritrano ābhās paṇ hoto nathī.
vaḷī koī jīv aṇuvratmahāvratādirūp yathārtha ācharaṇ kare chhe tathā ācharaṇānusār
ja pariṇām chhe, koī māyālobhādik abhiprāy nathī; ene dharma jāṇī mokṣha arthe tenun sādhan

kare chhe, koī svargādikanā bhogonī ichchhā rākhato nathī, parantu pratham tattvagnān na thayelun
hovāthī pote to jāṇe chhe ke ‘hun mokṣhanun sādhan karun chhun’ paṇ mokṣhanun sādhan je chhe tene jāṇato
paṇ nathī. kevaḷ svargādikanun ja sādhan kare chhe. sākarane amr̥ut jāṇī bhakṣhaṇ kare chhe paṇ
tethī amr̥utano guṇ to na thāy; potānī pratīti anusār phaḷ thatun nathī paṇ jevun sādhan
kare chhe tevun ja phaḷ lāge chhe.
shāstramān em kahyun chhe kechāritramān je ‘सम्यक्’ pad chhe, te agnānapūrvakanā ācharaṇanī
nivr̥utti arthe chhe, māṭe pahelān tattvagnān thāy te pachhī chāritra hoy te ja samyakchāritra
nām pāme chhe. jem koī kheḍūt bīj to vāve nahi ane anya sādhan kare to tene anna
prāpti kyāthī thāy? ghāsaphūs ja thāy; tem agnānī tattvagnānano to abhyās kare nahi ane
anya sādhan kare to mokṣhaprāpti kyāthī thāy? devapadādik ja thāy.
temān keṭalāk jīv to evā chhe ke jeo tattvādikanān nām paṇ barābar jāṇatā nathī
ane mātra vratādikamān ja pravarte chhe, tathā keṭalāk jīv evā chhe ke jeo pūrvokta prakāre
samyagdarshan
gnānanun ayathārtha sādhan karī vratādikamān pravarte chhe; jo ke teo vratādik yathārtha
āchare chhe topaṇ yathārtha shraddhāngnān vinā temanun sarva ācharaṇ mithyāchāritra ja chhe.
shrī samayasārkaḷashamān paṇ kahyun chhe ke
क्लिश्यंतां स्वयमेव दुष्करतरैर्मोक्षोन्मुखैः कर्मभिः
क्लिश्यतां च परे महाव्रततपोभारेण भग्नाश्चिरम्
साक्षान्मोक्ष इदं निरामयपदं संवेद्यमानं स्वयं
ज्ञानं ज्ञानगुणं बिना कथमपि प्राप्तुं क्षमंते न हि
।।१४२।।
arthaḥkoī mokṣhathī parāṅmukh evā ati dustar pañchāgnitapanādi kāryavaḍe pote ja
klesh kare chhe to karo, tathā anya keṭalāk jīv mahāvrat ane tapanā bhārathī ghaṇā kāḷ sudhī
kṣhīṇ thaīne klesh kare chhe to karo, parantu ā sākṣhāt mokṣhasvarūp sarva rogarahitapad āpoāp
anubhavamān āve evo gnānasvabhāv te to gnānaguṇavinā anya koīpaṇ prakārathī pāmavāne
samartha nathī.
vaḷī pañchāstikāyamān jyān antamān vyavahārābhāsavāḷāonun kathan karyun1 chhe, tyān ter

कदाचिदनुकम्प्यमानाः, कदाचिदास्तिक्यमुद्वहन्तः शङ्काकाङ्क्षाविचिकित्सामूढदृष्टितानांव्युत्थापन-निरोधायन्यवृत्तयः,
नित्यबद्धपरिकराः उपबृंहणस्थितिकरणवात्सल्यप्रभावनां भावयमाना वारंवारमभिवर्धितोत्साहाः ज्ञानाचरणाय
स्वाध्यायकालमवलोकयन्तो, बहुधा विनयं प्रपंचयन्तः, प्रविहितदुर्धरोपधानाः, सुष्ठुबहुमानमातन्वन्तो, निन्हवापत्तिं
नितरां निवारयन्तोऽर्थव्यञ्जनतदुभयशुद्धौ नितान्तसावधानाः, चारित्राचरणाय हिंसानृतस्तेयाब्रह्मपरिग्रह-
समस्तविरतिरुपेषु पंचमहाव्रतेषु तन्निष्ठवृत्तयः, सम्यग्योगनिग्रहलक्षणासु गुप्तिषु नितान्तं गृहीतोद्योगा,
ईर्याभाषैषणादाननिक्षेपोत्सर्गरुपासु समितिध्वत्यन्तानिवेशितप्रयत्नास्तपआचरणायानशनावमौदर्यवृत्तयः वृत्तिपरिसंख्या-
नरसपरित्यागविविक्तशैयासनकायक्लेशेष्वभीक्ष्णामुत्सहमानाः, प्रायश्चितविनयवैयावृत्यव्युत्सर्गस्वाध्यायध्यानपरिकरां-
कुशितस्वान्ता; वीर्याचरणाय कर्मकाण्डे सर्वशक्त्या व्याप्रियमाणाः, कर्मचेतनाप्रधानत्वदूरनिवारिता-

arthaḥje jīvo kevalmātra vyavahāranayanun avalamban kare chhe, te jīvone paradravyarūp bhinna
sādhyasādhan bhāvanī draṣhṭi chhe. paṇ svadravyarūp nishchayanayātmak abhed sādhyasādhan bhāv nathī, tethī
teo ekalā vyavahārathī ja khedakhinna chhe. teo vāramvār paradravyasvarūp dharmādik padārthomān shraddhānādik
anek prakāranī buddhi kare chhe, ghaṇā dravyashrutanā paṭhanapāṭhanādi sanskārothī nānāprakāranā vikalpajāḷothī
kalaṅkit antaraṅg vr̥uttine dhāraṇ kare chhe, anek prakār yatinun dravyaliṅg ke je bāhyavrat

dvārā hoy chhe tenun ja avalamban karī svarūpathī bhraṣhṭa thayā chhe, darshanamohanā udayathī vyavahāradharmarāganā
anshathī teo koī veḷā puṇyakriyāmān ruchi kare chhe, koī kāḷamān dayāvant thāy chhe, koī kāḷamān anek
vikalpo upajāve chhe, koī kāḷamān kāīk ācharaṇ kare chhe, koī kāḷamān darshananā ācharaṇ arthe samatābhāv
dhare chhe, koī kāḷamān vairāgyadashāne dhāraṇ kare chhe, koī kāḷamān anukampā dhāraṇ kare chhe, koī kāḷamān
dharma pratye āstikyabhāv dhāraṇ kare chhe, shubhopayog pravr̥uttithī shaṅkā, kāṅkṣhā, vichikitsā ane mūḍhadraṣhṭi
ādi bhāvonā utthāpan arthe sāvadhān thaī pravarte chhe, keval vyavahāranayarūp, upabr̥unhaṇ, sthitikaraṇ,
vātsalya ane prabhāvanādi aṅgonī bhāvanā chintave chhe, vāramvār utsāhane vadhāre chhe, gnānabhāvanā arthe

pāṭhanano kāḷ paṇ vichāre chhe, ghaṇā prakāranā vinayamān pravarte chhe, shāstranī bhakti arthe ghaṇo ārambh
paṇ kare chhe, rūḍā prakāre shāstranun bahumān kare chhe, guru ādimān upakār pravr̥uttine bhūlatā nathī, artha,
akṣhar tathā artha ane akṣharanī ek kāḷamān ekatānī shuddhatāmān sāvadhān rahe chhe, chāritra dhāraṇ karavā
arthe hinsā, asatya, chorī, strīsevan ane parigrah e pāñch adharmonā sarvathā tyāgarūp pañchamahāvratamān
sthiravr̥utti dhāraṇ kare chhe, man
vachankāyāno nirodh chhe jemān evī traṇ guptio vaḍe nirantar yoganun
avalamban kare chhe. iryābhāṣhāeṣhaṇā ādānanikṣhepaṇ ane utsarga e pāñch samitimān sarvathā prayatnavant
chhe, tap ācharaṇ arthe anashanavamaudaryavr̥uttiparisaṅkhyānrasaparityāgviviktashayyāsan, ane
kāyaklesh e chha prakāranā bāhyatapomān nirantar utsāh kare chhe, prāyashchittavinayvaiyāvr̥utvyutsargasvādhyāy
ane dhyān e chha prakāranā antaraṅg tapo arthe chittane vash kare chhe. vīryāchār arthe karmakāṇḍamān potānī

uttaraḥparadravya koī baḷātkārathī to bagāḍatun nathī, paṇ potānā bhāv bagaḍe tyāre
te paṇ bāhya nimitta chhe; vaḷī e nimitta vinā paṇ bhāv to bagaḍe chhe māṭe te niyamarūp
nimitta paṇ nathī. e pramāṇe paradravyono doṣh jovo e to mithyābhāv chhe. rāgādik ja būrā
chhe paṇ evī tene samajaṇ nathī, te to paradravyonā doṣh joī temān dveṣharūp udāsīnatā kare
chhe, sāchī udāsīnatā to tenun nām chhe ke
koī paṇ paradravyonā guṇ vā doṣh bhāse nahi

kahetā nathī; tem rāgasahit jīv narakādinā bhayathī viṣhayasevanano tyāg kare chhe, parantu
jyānsudhī tene viṣhayasevan ruche chhe tyānsudhī tene rāgano abhāv kahetā nathī. jem amr̥utanā
āsvādī devane anya bhojan svayam ruchatān nathī, tem ja tene nijarasanā āsvādathī

ichchhe chhe to vartamānamān shuddha ātmāno anubhav mithyā thayo.

prashnaḥshrī samayasārādimān shuddha ātmānā anubhavane nishchay kahyo chhe tathā
vrattapsanyamādikane vyavahār kahyo chhe ane ame paṇ em ja mānīe chhīe?
uttaraḥshuddha ātmāno anubhav te sācho mokṣhamārga chhe tethī tene nishchay kahyo chhe.
have ahīn svabhāvathī abhinna ane parabhāvathī bhinna evo shuddha shabdano artha jāṇavo, paṇ
sansārīne siddha mānavo evo bhramarūp shuddha shabdano artha na jāṇavo.
vaḷī vrattapādi mokṣhamārga nathī paṇ nimittādinī apekṣhāe upachārathī tene mokṣhamārga
kahīe chhīe tethī tene vyavahār kahyo; e pramāṇe bhūtārthaabhūtārtha mokṣhamārgapaṇāvaḍe tene
nishchayvyavahār kahyā chhe, em ja mānavun. paṇ e banne ja sāchā mokṣhamārga chhe ane e
bannene upādey mānavā e to mithyābuddhi ja chhe.
prashnaḥshraddhān to nishchayanun rākhīe chhīe tathā pravr̥utti vyavahārarūp rākhīe
chhīe, e pramāṇe e banne nayone ame aṅgīkār karīe chhīe?
uttaraḥem paṇ banatun nathī, kāraṇ kenishchayanun nishchayarūp tathā vyavahāranun
vyavahārarūp shraddhān karavun yogya chhe. paṇ ek ja nayanun shraddhān thatān to ekāntamithyātva thāy
chhe; vaḷī pravr̥uttimān nayanun prayojan ja nathī; kāraṇ ke
pravr̥utti to dravyanī pariṇati chhe, tyān

सर्वत्राध्यवसानमेवमखिलं त्याज्यं यदुक्तं जिनै
स्तन्मन्ये व्यवहार एव निखिलोऽप्यन्याश्रयस्त्याजितः
सम्यग्निश्चयमेकमेव तदमी निष्कंपमाक्रम्य किं
शुद्धज्ञानघने महिम्नि न निजे बध्नंति संतो धृतिम्

arthaḥjethī badhāy hinsādi vā ahinsādimān adhyavasāy chhe te badhā ja chhoḍavā
evun shrī jinadeve kahyun chhe; tethī hun em mānun chhun keje parāshrit vyavahār chhe te saghaḷo
ja chhoḍāvyo chhe to satpuruṣh ek param nishchayane ja bhalā prakāre niṣhkampapaṇe aṅgīkār karī
shuddha gnānaghanarūp nij mahimāmān sthiti kem karatā nathī?
bhāvārthaḥahīn vyavahārano to tyāg karāvyo chhe; māṭe nishchayane aṅgīkār karī
nijamahimārūp pravartavun yukta chhe.
vaḷī ṣhaṭpāhuḍamān paṇ kahyun chhe ke
जो सुत्तो ववहारे सो जोई जग्गए सकज्जम्मि;
जो जग्गदि ववहारे सो सुत्तो अप्पणो कज्जे

arthaḥje vyavahāramān sūtā chhe te yogī potānā kāryamān jāge chhe tathā je
vyavahāramān jāge chhe te potānā kāryamān sūtā chhe.
māṭe vyavahāranayanun shraddhān chhoḍī nishchayanayanun shraddhān karavun yogya chhe.
vyavahāranay svadravyaparadravyane vā tenā bhāvone vā kāraṇkāryādine koīnā
koīmān meḷavī nirūpaṇ kare chhe māṭe evā ja shraddhānathī mithyātva chhe tethī teno
tyāg karavo,
vaḷī nishchayanay tene ja yathāvat nirūpaṇ kare chhe tathā koīne koīmān meḷavato
nathī, tethī evā ja shraddhānathī samyaktva thāy chhe māṭe tenun shraddhān karavun.
prashnaḥjo em chhe to jinamārgamān banne nayonun grahaṇ karavun kahyun chhe tenun
shun kāraṇ?
uttaraḥjinamārgamān koī ṭhekāṇe to nishchayanayanī mukhyatāsahit vyākhyān
chhe tene to ‘‘satyārtha em ja chhe’’ em jāṇavun. tathā koī ṭhekāṇe vyavahāranayanī
mukhyatāsahit vyākhyān chhe tene ‘‘em nathī paṇ nimittādinī apekṣhāe ā

chhe tathā ā pramāṇe paṇ chhe’’ evā bhramarūp pravartavāthī to banne nayo grahaṇ karavā
kahyā nathī.
prashnaḥjo vyavahāranay asatyārtha chhe to jinamārgamān teno upadesh shāmāṭe
āpyo? ek nishchayanayanun ja nirūpaṇ karavun hatun?
uttaraḥevo ja tarka shrī samayasāramān karyo chhe tyān ā uttar āpyo chhe ke
जह णवि सक्कमणज्जो अणज्जभासं विणा उ गाहेदुं
तह ववहारेण विणा परमत्थुवदेसणमसक्कं ।।।।
arthaḥjem anāryamalechchhane malechchhabhāṣhā vinā artha grahaṇ karāvavā koī samartha
nathī, tem vyavahār vinā paramārthano upadesh ashakya chha tethī vyavahārano upadesh chhe.
vaḷī e ja sūtranī vyākhyāmān em kahyun chhe keएवं मलेच्छभाषास्थानीयत्वेन परमार्थ-
प्रतिपादकत्वादुपन्यसनीयोऽथ च ब्राह्मणो न म्लेच्छितव्य इति वचनाद्वयवहारनयो नानुसर्त्तव्यः।
e pramāṇe nishchayane aṅgīkār karavā māṭe vyavahāravaḍe upadesh āpīe chhīe paṇ
vyavahāranay chhe te aṅgīkār karavā yogya nathī.
prashnaḥvyavahār vinā, nishchayano upadesh na hoī shake to vyavahāranayane kem
aṅgīkār na karavo?
uttaraḥnishchayanayathī to ātmā paradravyathī bhinna ane svabhāvothī
abhinna svayansiddha vastu chhe; tene je na oḷakhato hoy tene em ja kahyā karīe to
te samaje nahi tyāre tene samajāvavā vyavahāranayathī sharīrādik paradravyonī sāpekṣhatāvaḍe nar,
nārakī, pr̥ithvīkāyādirūp jīvanā bhed karyā, eṭale manuṣhya jīv chhe, nārakī jīv chhe ityādi
prakārasahit tene jīvanī oḷakhāṇ thaī.
athavā abhedavastumān bhed upajāvī gnāndarshanādi guṇaparyāyarūp jīvanā bhed karyā,
tyāre ā jāṇavāvāḷo jīv chhe, dekhavāvāḷo jīv chhe, ityādi prakārasahit tene jīvanī
oḷakhāṇ thaī.
vaḷī nishchayathī vītarāgabhāv mokṣhamārga chhe, tene je na oḷakhe tene em ja kahyā
karīe to te samaje nahi, tyāre tene samajāvavā vyavahāranayathī, tattvashraddhāngnānapūrvak

paradravyanān nimitta maṭavānī sāpekṣhatāvaḍe vrat, shīl, sanyamādirūp vītarāgabhāvanā visheṣh
batāvavāmān āvyā tyāre tane vītarāgabhāvanī oḷakhāṇ thaī.
e ja pramāṇe anya ṭhekāṇe paṇ vyavahār vinā nishchayano upadesh thato nathī em
samajavun.
bījun, ahīn vyavahārathī narnārakī ādi paryāyane ja jīv kahyo paṇ tyān paryāyane
ja jīv na mānī levo, paryāy to jīvpudgalanā sanyogarūp chhe; tyān nishchayathī jīvadravya
bhinna chhe, tene ja jīv mānavo. jīvanā sanyogathī sharīrādikane paṇ upachārathī jīv kahyā
chhe paṇ e kahevāmātra ja chhe, paramārthathī sharīrādik kāī jīv thatā nathī, evun ja shraddhān
karavun.
vaḷī abhed ātmāmān gnāndarshanādi bhed karyā tyān tene bhedarūp ja na mānī levā,
kemake bhed to samajāvavā māṭe karyā chhe, nishchayathī ātmā abhed ja chhe; tene ja jīvavastu
mānavī. sañgnā
saṅkhyādithī bhed kahyā chhe te to kahevāmātra ja chhe, paramārthathī te judājudā nathī
evun ja shraddhān karavun.
tathā paradravyanun nimitta maṭavānī apekṣhāe vratshīlsanyamādikane mokṣhamārga kahyo tyān
tene ja mokṣhamārga na mānī levo, kāraṇ kejo paradravyanān grahaṇtyāg ātmāne hoy
to ātmā paradravyano kartāhartā thaī jāy. paṇ koī dravya koī dravyane ādhīn
chhe ja nahi, tethī ātmā potānā bhāv je rāgādik chhe tene chhoḍī vītarāg thāy chhe, tethī
nishchayathī vītarāgabhāv ja mokṣhamārga chhe. vītarāgabhāvone tathā vratādikone kadāchit kārya
kāraṇapaṇun chhe tethī vratādikane mokṣhamārga kahyo, te kahevāmātra ja chhe; paramārthathī bāhyakriyā
mokṣhamārga nathī
evun ja shraddhān karavun.
e ja pramāṇe anya ṭhekāṇe paṇ vyavahāranayano aṅgīkār na karavo em jāṇī levun.
prashnaḥvyavahāranay parane upadesh karavāmān ja kāryakārī chhe ke potānun paṇ
prayojan sādhe chhe?
uttaraḥpote paṇ jyānsudhī nishchayanayathī prarūpit vastune na oḷakhe tyānsudhī
vyavahāramārgavaḍe vastuno nishchay kare māṭe nīchalī dashāmān vyavahāranay potāne paṇ kāryakārī
chhe. parantu vyavahārane upachāramātra mānī te dvārā vastuno barābar nirṇay kare tyāre to kāryakārī
thāy, paṇ jo nishchayanī māphak vyavahārane paṇ satyabhūt mānī ‘vastu ām ja chhe,’ evun shraddhān
kare to te ūlaṭo akāryakārī thaī jāy.

prashnaḥtame vyavahārane asatyārtha ane hey kaho chho to ame vrat, shīl,
sanyamādi vyavahārakārya shā māṭe karīe? sarva chhoḍī daīshun.
uttaraḥkāī vrat, shīl, sanyamādikanun nām vyavahār nathī paṇ tene mokṣhamārga
mānavo e vyavahār chhe, e chhoḍī de. vaḷī evā shraddhānathī tene to bāhya sahakārī jāṇī
upachārathī mokṣhamārga kahyo chhe paṇ e to paradravyāshrit chhe, ane sācho mokṣhamārga
vītarāgabhāv chhe te svadravyāshrit chhe,
e pramāṇe vyavahārane asatyārthahey samajavo; paṇ
vratādikane chhoḍavāthī to kāī vyavahāranun heyapaṇun thatun nathī.
vaḷī ame pūchhīe chhīe kevratādikane chhoḍī tun shun karīsh? jo hinsādirūp pravartīsh
to tyān to mokṣhamārgano upachār paṇ sambhavato nathī. tyān pravartavāthī shun bhalun thashe? narakādik
pāmīsh, māṭe em karavun e to nirvichārapaṇun chhe. jo vratādirūp pariṇatine maṭāḍīne kevaḷ
vītarāg udāsīnabhāvarūp thavun bane to bhalun ja chhe, paṇ nīchalī dashāmān em thaī shake nahi,
māṭe vratādisādhan chhoḍī svachchhandī thavun yogya nathī. e pramāṇe shraddhānamān nishchayane tathā pravr̥uttimān
vyavahārane upādey mānavo te paṇ mithyābhāv ja chhe.
have te jīv banne nayono aṅgīkār karavā arthe koī veḷā potāne shuddha siddhasamān,
rāgādirahit ane kevaḷagnānādisahit ātmā anubhave chhe, tathā dhyānamudrā dhāraṇ karī evā
vichāromān lāge chhe, pote evo nathī chhatān bhramathī nishchayathī ‘hun āvo ja chhun’ em mānī
santuṣhṭa thāy chhe, tathā koī veḷā vachanadvārā nirūpaṇ paṇ evun ja kare chhe, paṇ pratyakṣha pote
jevo nathī tevo potāne mānavo tyān nishchayanām kevī rīte pāme? kāraṇ ke
vastune yathāvat
prarūpaṇ kare tenun nām nishchay chhe, tethī jem kevaḷ nishchayābhāsavāḷā jīvanun ayathārthapaṇun pahelān

to kevī rīte chhe? jem rājā ane raṅk manuṣhyapaṇānī apekṣhāe samān chhe, tem siddha
ane sansārī e banne jīvapaṇānī apekṣhāe samān kahyā chhe, kevaḷagnānādinī apekṣhāe
samānatā mānīe, paṇ tem to chhe nahi; kāraṇ ke
sansārīne nishchayathī matignānādik ja chhe
tathā siddhane kevaḷagnān chhe. ahīn eṭalun visheṣh kesansārīne matignānādik chhe te karmanā
nimittathī chhe tethī svabhāv apekṣhāe sansārīmān kevaḷagnānanī shakti kahīe to temān doṣh nathī;
jem raṅkamanuṣhyamān rājā thavānī shakti hoy chhe tem ā shakti jāṇavī. vaḷī dravyakarma
nokarma
to pudgalathī nīpaje chhe tethī nishchayathī sansārīne paṇ tenun bhinnapaṇun chhe, parantu siddhanī māphak
teno kāraṇ
kāryaapekṣhā sambandh paṇ na māne to te bhram ja chhe, tathā bhāvakarma e ātmāno
bhāv chhe, ane te nishchayathī ātmāno ja chhe, parantu karmanā nimittathī thāy chhe tethī vyavahārathī
tene karmano kahīe chhīe. bījun siddhanī māphak sansārīne paṇ rāgādik na mānavā ane karmanā
ja mānavā, e paṇ bhram ja chhe.
e pramāṇe banne nayathī ek ja vastune ekabhāvaapekṣhāe ‘ām paṇ mānavī tathā
ām paṇ mānavī’ e to mithyābuddhi chhe, paṇ judā judā bhāvonī apekṣhāe nayonī prarūpaṇā
chhe em mānī vastune yathāsambhav mānavī e ja sāchun shraddhān chhe, e pramāṇe mithyādraṣhṭi
anekāntarūp vastune māne chhe parantu te yathārtha bhāvane oḷakhī mānī shakato nathī em jāṇavun.
vaḷī ā jīvane vratshīlsanyamādikano aṅgīkār hoy chhe tene vyavahārathī ‘ā paṇ
mokṣhamārganun kāraṇ chhe’ evun mānī tene upādey māne chhe, e to jem pahelān kevaḷ
vyavahārāvalambī jīvane ayathārthapaṇun kahyun hatun tem āne paṇ ayathārthapaṇun jāṇavun.
vaḷī te ām paṇ māne chhe ke‘yathāyogya vratādi kriyā to karavī yogya chhe parantu
temān mamatva na karavun;’ have jeno pote kartā thāy temān mamatva kevī rīte na kare, jo pote
kartā nathī to ‘māre karavī yogya chhe’ evo bhāv kevī rīte karyo? tathā jo pote kartā chhe
to te (kriyā) potānun karma thayun eṭale kartākarmasambandh svayam siddha thayo, have evī mānyatā to
bhram chhe.

tethī vratavrat e banne vikalparahit jyān paradravyanā grahaṇtyāganun kāī prayojan
nathī evo udāsīn vītarāgashuddhopayog te ja mokṣhamārga chhe; nīchalī dashāmān keṭalāk jīvone
shubhopayog ane shuddhopayoganun yuktapaṇun hoy chhe, tethī e vratādi shubhopayogane upachārathī
mokṣhamārga kahyo chhe,
paṇ vastuvichārathī jotān shubhopayog mokṣhano ghātak ja chhe. kem
ke ā rīte je bandhanun kāraṇ chhe te ja mokṣhanun ghātak chhe, evun shraddhān karavun.
shuddhopayogane ja upādey mānī teno upāy karavo tathā ā rīte shubhopayog
ashubhopayogane hey jāṇī tenā tyāgano upāy karavo, ane jyān shuddhopayog na thaī
shake tyān ashubhopayogane chhoḍī shubhamān ja pravartavun, kāraṇ keshubhopayoganī apekṣhāe
ashubhopayogamān ashuddhatānī adhikatā chhe. shuddhopayog hoy tyāre to te paradravyano sākṣhībhūt
ja rahe chhe, eṭale tyān to koī paradravyanun prayojan ja nathī. vaḷī shubhopayog hoy tyān bāhya
vratādikanī pravr̥utti thāy chhe tathā ashubhopayog hoy tyān bāhya avratādikanī pravr̥utti thāy chhe,

ashuddhopayogane ane paradravyanī pravr̥uttine nimittanaimittik sambandh hoy chhe, tethī

kāryapaṇun hoy to shubhopayoganun kāraṇ ashubhopayog ṭhare; athavā dravyaliṅgīne
shubhopayog to utkr̥uṣhṭa hoy chhe, shuddhopayog hoto ja nathī, tethī vāstavikapaṇe temane kāraṇ
kāryapaṇun nathī. jem koī rogīne ghaṇo rog hato ane pāchhaḷathī alparog rahyo tyān e
alparog kāī nīrog thavānun kāraṇ nathī; hā eṭalun kharun ke
alparog rahe tyāre nīrog
thavāno upāy kare to thaī jāy, paṇ jo alparogane ja bhalo jāṇī tene rākhavāno yatna
kare to te nīrogī kevī rīte thāy? tem koī kaṣhāyīne tīvrakaṣhāyarūp ashubhopayog hato,
