tathA vah tapashcharaN ko vRuthA klesh ThaharAtA hai; so mokShamArgI hone par to sansArI
jIvonse ulTI pariNati chAhiye. sansAriyonko iShTa-aniShTa sAmagrIse rAg-dveSh hotA hai, isake
rAg-dveSh nahIn honA chAhiye. vahAn rAg chhoDaneke artha iShTa sAmagrI bhojanAdikakA tyAgI hotA
hai, aur dveSh chhoDaneke artha aniShTa sAmagrI anashanAdiko angIkAr karatA hai. svAdhInarUpase
aisA sAdhan ho to parAdhIn iShTa-aniShTa sAmagrI milane par bhI rAg-dveSh na ho, so honA to
aisA hI chAhiye; parantu tujhe anashanAdise dveSh huA, isaliye use klesh ThaharAyA. jab yah
klesh huA tab bhojan karanA sukh svayamev ThaharA aur vahAn rAg AyA; so aisI pariNati
to sansAriyonke pAI hI jAtI hai, tUne mokShamArgI hokar kyA kiyA?
yadi tU kahegAkitane hI samyagdRuShTi bhI tapashcharaN nahIn karate hain?
uttarakAraN visheShase tap nahIn ho sakatA, parantu shraddhAnamen tapako bhalA jAnate
hain aur usake sAdhanakA udyam rakhate hain. tujhe to shraddhAn yah hai ki tap karanA klesh
hai, tathA tapakA tere udyam nahIn hai, isaliye tujhe samyagdRuShTi kaise ho?
phi ra vah kahatA haishAstramen aisA kahA hai ki tap AdikA klesh karatA hai to
karo, gnAn binA siddhi nahIn hai?
uttarajo jIv tattvagnAnase to parAngmukh hain, tapase hI mokSha mAnate hain, unako aisA
upadesh diyA haitattvagnAnake binA keval tapase hI mokShamArga nahIn hotA. tathA tattvagnAn
hone par rAgAdik miTAneke artha tap karanekA to niShedh hai nahIn. yadi niShedh ho to
gaNadharAdik tap kisalie karen? isaliye apanI shakti-anusAr tap karanA yogya hai.
tathA vah vratAdikako bandhan mAnatA hai; so svachchhandavRutti to agnAn-avasthAmen thI hI,
gnAn prApta karane par to pariNatiko rokatA hI hai. tathA us pariNatiko rokaneke artha bAhya
hinsAdik kAraNonkA tyAgI avashya honA chAhiye.
phi ra vah kahatA haihamAre pariNAm to shuddha hain; bAhyatyAg nahIn kiyA to nahIn kiyA?
uttar :yadi yah hinsAdi kArya tere pariNAm binA svayamev hote hon to ham aisA
mAnen. aur yadi tU apane pariNAmase kArya karatA hai to vahAn tere pariNAm shuddha kaise kahen?
viShay-sevanAdi kriyA athavA pramAdarUp gamanAdi kriyA pariNAm binA kaise ho? vah kriyA
to svayam udyamI hokar tU karatA hai aur vahAn hinsAdik hote hain unhen ginatA nahIn hai, pariNAm
shuddha mAnatA hai. so aisI mAnyatAse tere pariNAm ashuddha hI rahenge.

kartavyakA nAsh hotA hai. jaiseapaneko pachatA jAne utanA bhojan kare. kadAchit kisIko
bhojanase ajIrNa huA ho, aur us bhayase bhojan karanA chhoD de to maraN hI hogA. usI
prakAr apane se nirvAh hotA jAne utanI pratignA kare. kadAchit kisIke pratignAse bhraShTapanA
huA ho aur us bhayase pratignA karanA chhoD de to asanyam hI hogA; isaliye jo ban
sake vah pratignA lenA yogya hai.
tathA prArabdha-anusAr to kArya banatA hI hai, tU udyamI hokar bhojanAdi kisaliye karatA
hai? yadi vahAn udyam karatA hai to tyAg karanekA bhI udyam karanA yogya hI hai. jab pratimAvat
terI dashA ho jAyegI tab ham prArabdha hI mAnenge, terA kartavya nahIn mAnege. isaliye svachchhanda
honekI yukti kisaliye banAtA hai? bane vah pratignA karake vrat dhAraN karanA yogya hI hai.
tathA vah pUjanAdi kAryako shubhAsrav jAnakar hey mAnatA hai, so yah satya hI hai;
parantu yadi in kAryonko chhoDakar shuddhopayogarUp ho to bhalA hI hai, aur viShay- kaShAyarUp
ashubharUp pravarte to apanA burA hI kiyA.

shubhopayogase svargAdi hon, athavA bhalI vAsanAse yA bhale nimittase karmake sthiti-anubhAg
ghaT jAyen to samyaktvAdikI bhI prApti ho jAye. aur ashubhopayogase narak-nigodAdi hon,
athavA burI vAsanAse yA nimittase karmake sthiti-anubhAg baDh jAyen to samyaktvAdik mahA
durlabh ho jAyen.
tathA shubhopayog honese kaShAy manda hotI hai aur ashubhopayog honese tIvra hotI hai;
so mandakaShAyakA kArya chhoDakar tIvrakaShAyakA kArya karanA to aisA hai jaise kaDavI vastu na
khAnA aur viSh khAnA. yo yah agnAnatA hai.
phi ra vah kahatA haishAstramen shubh-ashubhako samAn kahA hai, isaliye hamen to visheSh
jAnanA yogya nahIn hai?
samAdhAnajo jIv shubhopayogako mokShakA kAraN mAnakar upAdey mAnate hain aur
shuddhopayogako nahIn pahichAnate, unhen shubh-ashubh dononko ashuddhatAkI apekShA va bandhakAraNakI
apekShA samAn batalAyA hai.
tathA shubh-ashubhakA paraspar vichAr karen to shubhabhAvommen kaShAy manda hotI hai, isaliye
bandha hIn hotA hai; ashubhabhAvommen kaShAy tIvra hotI hai, isaliye bandha bahut hotA hai. is
prakAr vichAr karane par ashubhakI apekShA siddhAntamen shubhako bhalA bhI kahA jAtA hai. jaise
rog to thoDA yA bahut burA hI hai, parantu bahut rogakI apekShA thoDe rogako bhalA bhI kahate
hain.
isaliye shuddhopayog na ho, tab ashubhase chhUTakar shubhamen pravartanA yogya hai; shubhako
chhoDakar ashubhamen pravartanA yogya nahIn hai.
phi ra vah kahatA haikAmAdik yA kShudhAdik miTAnekI ashubharUp pravRutti to hue binA
rahatI nahIn hai, aur shubh pravRutti ichchhA karake karanI paDatI hai; gnAnIko ichchhA nahIn chAhiye,
isaliye shubhakA udyam nahIn karanA?
uttar :shubh pravRuttimen upayog laganese tathA usake nimittase virAgatA baDhanese
kAmAdik hIn hote hain aur kShudhAdikamen bhI sanklesh thoDA hotA hai. isaliye shubhopayogakA

isaprakAr anek vyavahArakAryonkA utthApan karake jo svachchhandapaneko sthApit karatA hai,
usakA niShedh kiyA.
keval nishchayAbhAsake avalambI jIvakI pravRutti
ab, usI keval nishchayAvalambI jIvakI pravRutti batalAte hain
ek shuddhAtmAko jAnanese gnAnI ho jAte hainanya kuchh bhI nahIn chAhiye; aisA jAnakar
kabhI ekAntamen baiThakar dhyAnamudrA dhAraN karake ‘main sarva karmopAdhirahit siddhasamAn AtmA hUn’
ityAdi vichArase santuShTa hotA hai; parantu yah visheShaN kis prakAr sambhav haiaisA vichAr
nahIn hai. athavA achal, akhaNDa, anupamAdi visheShaN dvArA AtmAko dhyAtA hai; so yah
visheShaN anya dravyommen bhI sambhavit hain. tathA yah visheShaN kis apekShAse hain so vichAr nahIn
hai. tathA kadAchit sote-baiThate jis-tis avasthAmen aisA vichAr rakhakar apaneko gnAnI mAnatA
hai.
tathA gnAnIke Asrav-bandha nahIn hainaisA Agamamen kahA hai; isaliye kadAchit viShay-
kaShAyarUp hotA hai, vahAn bandha honekA bhay nahIn hai, svachchhanda huA rAgAdirUp pravartatA hai.
so sva-parako jAnanekA to chihna vairAgyabhAv hai. so samayasAramen kahA hai
‘‘samyagdRuShTerbhavati niyatan gnAnavairAgyashakti1.’’

chhoDakar abhedarUp ek AtmAkA anubhav karanA, inake vichArarUp vikalpommen hI phansA rahanA
yogya nahIn hai.
tathA vastukA nishchay honeke pashchAt aisA nahIn hai ki sAmAnyarUp svadravyakA hI chintavan
rahA kare. svadravyakA tathA paradravyakA sAmAnyarUp aur visheSharUp jAnanA hotA hai, parantu
vItarAgatAsahit hotA hai; usIkA nAm nirvikalpadashA hai.
vahAn vah pUchhatA haiyahAn to bahut vikalpa hue, nirvikalpa sangnA kaise sambhav hai?
uttaranirvichAr honekA nAm nirvikalpa nahIn hai; kyonki chhadmasthake jAnanA
vichArasahit hai, usakA abhAv mAnanese gnAnakA abhAv hogA aur tab jaDapanA huA; so
AtmAke hotA nahIn hai. isaliye vichAr to rahatA hai.
tathA yah kahe ki ek sAmAnyakA hI vichAr rahatA hai, visheShakA nahIn. to sAmAnyakA
vichAr to bahut kAl rahatA nahIn hai va visheShakI apekShA binA sAmAnyakA svarUp bhAsit
nahIn hotA.
tathA yah kahe ki apanA hI vichAr rahatA hai, parakA nahIn; to paramen parabuddhi hue

hI nishchit ho jAye. pashchAt bhedavignAn karanekA prayojan nahIn rahatA; svayamev parako pararUp aur
Apako AparUp jAnatA rahatA hai. aisA nahIn hai ki paradravyakA jAnanA hI miT jAtA hai. isaliye
paradravyako jAnane yA svadravyake visheShonko jAnanekA nAm vikalpa nahIn hai.
to kis prakAr hai? so kahate hain. rAg-dveShavash kisI gneyako jAnanemen upayog lagAnA
aur kisI gneyake jAnanese chhuDAnAis prakAr bArambAr upayogako bhramAnAusakA nAm
vikalpa hai. tathA jahAn vItarAgarUp hokar jise jAnate hain use yathArtha jAnate hain, anya-
anya gneyako jAnaneke artha upayogako bhramAte nahIn hain; vahAn nirvikalpadashA jAnanA.
yahAn koI kahe ki chhadmasthakA upayog to nAnA gneyommen bhramatA hI bhramatA hai; vahAn
nirvikalpatA kaise sambhav hai?
uttarajitane kAl tak jAnanerUp rahe tab tak nirvikalpa nAm pAtA hai. siddhAntamen
dhyAnakA lakShaN aisA hI kiyA hai

mithyAdRuShTi hI rahate hain.
tathA kitane hI sangatise jainadharma dhAraN karate hain, kitane hI mahAn puruShako jinadharmamen
pravartatA dekh Ap bhI pravartate hain, kitane hI dekhAdekhI jinadharmakI shuddha yA ashuddha kriyAommen
pravartate hain.
ityAdi anek prakArake jIv Ap vichArakar jinadharmakA rahasya nahIn pahichAnate
aur jainI nAm dhAraN karate hain. ve sab mithyAdRuShTi hI jAnanA.

kriyA karatA hai, koI jhUThI karatA hai; aur jo antarang rAgAdibhAv pAye jAte hain unakA
vichAr hI nahIn hai, tathA bAhyamen bhI rAgAdike poShaNake sAdhan karatA hai.
tathA pUjA-prabhAvanAdi kArya karatA hai to vahAn jis prakAr lokamen baDAI ho, va viShay-
kaShAyakA poShaN ho us prakAr kArya karatA hai. tathA bahut hinsAdik utpanna karatA hai.
so yah kArya to apane tathA anya jIvonke pariNAm sudhAraneke artha kahe hain. tathA vahAn
kinchit hinsAdik bhI utpanna hote hain, parantu jisamen thoDA aparAdh ho aur guN adhik ho vah
kArya karanA kahA hai. so pariNAmonkI to pahichAn nahIn hai aur yahAn aparAdh kitanA lagatA
hai, guN kitanA hotA hai
aise naphA-ToTekA gnAn nahIn hai va vidhi-avidhikA gnAn nahIn hai.
tathA shAstrAbhyAs karatA hai to vahAn paddhatirUp pravartatA hai. yadi bAnchatA hai to auronko

tathA jo bAhya visheShaN hain unhen to jAnakar unake dvArA arahantadevako mahantapanA visheSh
mAnatA hai, aur jo jIvake visheShaN hain unhen yathAvat na jAnakar unake dvArA arahantadevako
mahantapanA AgnAnusAr mAnatA hai athavA anyathA mAnatA hai. kyonki yathAvat jIvake visheShaN
jAne to mithyAdRuShTi na rahe.

isaliye upachAr dvArA ve visheShaN sambhav hote hain.
apane pariNAm shuddha hue binA arahantahI svarga-mokShAdike dAtA nahIn hain. tathA
arahantAdikake nAmAdikase shvAnAdikane svarga prApta kiyA, vahAn nAmAdikakA hI atishay mAnate
hain; parantu binA pariNAmake nAm lenevAleko bhI svargakI prApti nahIn hotI, tab sunanevAleko
kaise hogI? shvAnAdikako nAm sunaneke nimittase koI mandakaShAyarUp bhAv hue hain unakA phal
svarga huA hai; upachArase nAmakI hI mukhyatA kI hai.
tathA arahantAdikake nAmpUjanAdikase aniShTa sAmagrIkA nAsh tathA iShTa sAmagrIkI prApti
mAnakar rogAdi miTAneke artha va dhanAdikakI prAptike artha nAm letA hai va pUjanAdi karatA
hai. so iShTa-aniShTakA kAraN to pUrvakarmakA uday hai, arahanta to kartA hain nahIn.
arahantAdikakI bhaktirUp shubhopayog pariNAmonse pUrvapApake sankramaNAdi ho jAte hain, isaliye
upachArase aniShTake nAshakA va iShTakI prAptikA kAraN arahantAdikakI bhakti kahI jAtI hai.
parantu jo jIv prathamase hI sAnsArik prayojanasahit bhakti karatA hai usake to pApakA hI
abhiprAy huA. kAnkShA, vichikitsArUp bhAv hue
unase pUrvapApake sankramaNAdi kaise honge?
isaliye usakA kArya siddha nahIn huA.
tathA kitane hI jIv bhaktiko muktikA kAraN jAnakar vahAn ati anurAgI hokar
pravartate hain. vah to anyamatI jaise bhaktise mukti mAnate hain vaisA hI inake bhI shraddhAn huA,
parantu bhakti to rAgarUp hai aur rAgase bandha hai, isaliye mokShakA kAraN nahIn hai. jab rAgakA
uday AtA hai tab bhakti na kare to pApAnurAg ho, isaliye ashubharAg chhoDaneke liye gnAnI
bhaktimen pravartate hain aur mokShamArgako bAhya nimittamAtra bhI jAnate hain; parantu yahAn hI upAdeyapanA
mAnakar santuShTa nahIn hote, shuddhopayogake udyamI rahate hain.
vahI panchAstikAy vyAkhyAmen kahA haiiyan bhakti kevalabhaktipradhAnasyAgnAnino bhavati.
