pudgalaparāvartan mātra hai aur pudgalaparāvartanakā kāl aisā hai jisake anantaveṁ bhāgameṁ bhī ananta
sāgar hote haiṁ. isalie is saṁsārīke mukhyataḥ ekendriy paryāyameṁ hī kāl vyatīt hotā hai.
vahān̐ ekendriyake jñān-darśanakī śakti to kiṁcitmātra hī rahatī hai. ek sparśan indriyake
nimittase huā matijñān aur usake nimittase huā śrutajñān tathā sparśan indriyajanit
acakṣudarśan — jinake dvārā śīt-uṣṇādikako kiṁcit jānate-dekhate haiṁ. jñānāvaraṇ-darśanāvaraṇake
tīvra udayase isase adhik jñān-darśan nahīṁ pāye jāte aur viṣayoṁkī icchā pāyī jātī hai
jisase mahā duḥkhī haiṁ. tathā darśanamohake udayase mithyādarśan hotā hai usase paryāyakā hī
apanerūp śraddhān karate haiṁ, anya vicār karanekī śakti hī nahīṁ hai.
tathā cāritramohake udayase tīvra krodhādik-kaṣāyarūp pariṇamit hote haiṁ; kyoṁki unake
kevalībhagavānane kr̥ṣṇa, nīl, kāpot yah tīn aśubh leśyā hī kahī haiṁ aur ve tīvra kaṣāy
hone par hī hotī haiṁ. vahān̐ kaṣāy to bahut hai aur śakti sarva prakārase mahā hīn hai,
isalie bahut duḥkhī ho rahe haiṁ, kuch upāy nahīṁ kar sakate.
yahān̐ koī kahe ki — jñān to kiṁcitmātra hī rahā hai, phi ra ve kyā kaṣāy karate haiṁ?
samādhānaḥ — aisā koī niyam to hai nahīṁ ki jitanā jñān ho utanī hī kaṣāy ho.
jñān to jitanā kṣayopaśam ho utanā hotā hai. jaise kisī aṁdhe-bahare puruṣako jñān thoṛā
hone par bhī bahut kaṣāy hotī dikhāī detī hai, usī prakār ekendriyake jñān thoṛā hone
par bhī bahut kaṣāy honā mānā gayā hai.
tathā bāhya kaṣāy pragaṭ tab hotī hai, jab kaṣāyake anusār kuch upāy kare, parantu
ve śaktihīn haiṁ, isaliye upāy kuch kar nahīṁ sakate, isase unakī kaṣāy pragaṭ nahīṁ hotī.
jaise koī puruṣ śaktihīn hai, usako kisī kāraṇase tīvra kaṣāy ho, parantu kuch kar nahīṁ
sakatā, isaliye usakī kaṣāy bāhyameṁ pragaṭ nahīṁ hotī, vah ati duḥkhī hotā hai; usī prakār
ekendriy jīv śaktihīn haiṁ; unako kisī kāraṇase kaṣāy hotī hai, parantu kuch kar nahīṁ
sakate, isaliye unakī kaṣāy bāhyameṁ pragaṭ nahīṁ hotī, ve svayaṁ hī duḥkhī hote haiṁ.
tathā aisā jānanā ki jahān̐ kaṣāy bahut ho aur śakti hīn ho vahān̐ bahut duḥkh
hotā hai aur jyoṁ jyoṁ kaṣāy kam hotī jāye tathā śakti barḥatī jāye tyoṁ-tyoṁ duḥkh kam
hotā hai. parantu ekendriyoṁke kaṣāy bahut aur śakti hīn, isaliye ekendriy jīv mahā
duḥkhī haiṁ. unake duḥkh ve hī bhogate haiṁ aur kevalī jānate haiṁ. jaise — sannipāt ke rogīkā
jñān kam ho jāye aur bāhya śaktikī hīnatāse apanā duḥkh pragaṭ bhī na kar sake, parantu
