सकलविमलकेवलज्ञानत्रितयलोचनो भगवान् अपुनर्भवकमनीयकामिनीजीवितेशः षड्द्रव्यसंकीर्णलोकत्रयं शुद्धाकाशमात्रालोकं च जानाति, पराश्रितो व्यवहार इति मानात् व्यवहारेण व्यवहारप्रधानत्वात्, निरुपरागशुद्धात्मस्वरूपं नैव जानाति, यदि व्यवहारनयविवक्षया कोपि जिननाथतत्त्वविचारलब्धः (दक्षः) कदाचिदेवं वक्ति चेत्, तस्य

अत्र ज्ञानस्वरूपो जीव इति वितर्केणोक्त : ।
इह हि ज्ञानं तावज्जीवस्वरूपं भवति, ततो हेतोरखंडाद्वैतस्वभावनिरतं निरतिशयपरमभावनासनाथं मुक्ति सुंदरीनाथं बहिर्व्यावृत्तकौतूहलं निजपरमात्मानं जानाति कश्चिदात्मा भव्यजीव इति अयं खलु स्वभाववादः । अस्य विपरीतो वितर्कः स खलु विभाववादः प्राथमिकशिष्याभिप्रायः । कथमिति चेत्, पूर्वोक्त स्वरूपमात्मानं खलु न जानात्यात्मा, स्वरूपावस्थितः संतिष्ठति । यथोष्णस्वरूपस्याग्नेः स्वरूपमग्निः किं जानाति,
anvayārthaḥ — [ज्ञानं] gnān [जीवस्वरूपं] jīvanun svarūp chhe, [तस्मात्] tethī [आत्मा] ātmā [आत्मकं] ātmāne [जानाति] jāṇe chhe; [आत्मानं न अपि जानाति] jo gnān ātmāne na jāṇe to [आत्मनः] ātmāthī [व्यतिरिक्त म्] vyatirikta (judun) [भवति] ṭhare!

तथैव ज्ञानज्ञेयविकल्पाभावात् सोऽयमात्मात्मनि तिष्ठति । हंहो प्राथमिकशिष्य अग्निवदयमात्मा किमचेतनः । किं बहुना । तमात्मानं ज्ञानं न जानाति चेद् देवदत्त- रहितपरशुवत् इदं हि नार्थक्रियाकारि, अत एव आत्मनः सकाशाद् व्यतिरिक्तं भवति । तन्न खलु सम्मतं स्वभाववादिनामिति ।
तथा चोक्तं श्रीगुणभद्रस्वामिभिः —
te (viparīt vitarka — prāthamik shiṣhyano abhiprāy) kayā prakāre chhe? (te ā prakāre chheḥ — ) ‘pūrvoktasvarūp (gnānasvarūp) ātmāne ātmā kharekhar jāṇato nathī, svarūpamān avasthit rahe chhe ( – ātmāmān mātra sthit rahe chhe). jevī rīte uṣhṇatāsvarūp agninā svarūpane (arthāt agnine) shun agni jāṇe chhe? (nathī ja jāṇato.) tevī ja rīte gnānagney sambandhī vikalpanā abhāvathī ā ātmā ātmāmān (mātra) sthit rahe chhe ( – ātmāne jāṇato nathī).’
(uparokta vitarkano uttaraḥ — ) ‘he prāthamik shiṣhya! agninī māphak shun ā ātmā achetan chhe (ke jethī te potāne na jāṇe)? vadhāre shun kahevun? (saṅkṣhepamān,) jo te ātmāne gnān na jāṇe to te gnān, devadatta vinānī kuhāḍīnī māphak, *arthakriyākārī na ṭhare, ane tethī te ātmāthī bhinna ṭhare! te to (arthāt gnān ne ātmānī sarvathā bhinnatā to) kharekhar svabhāvavādīone sammat nathī. (māṭe nakkī kar ke gnān ātmāne jāṇe chhe.)’
evī rīte (āchāryavar) shrī guṇabhadrasvāmīe (ātmānushāsanamān 174mā shlok dvārā) kahyun chhe keḥ —

भगवानर्हत्परमेष्ठी साद्यनिधनामूर्तातीन्द्रियस्वभावशुद्धसद्भूतव्यवहारेण केवलज्ञानादि- शुद्धगुणानामाधारभूतत्वात् विश्वमश्रान्तं जानन्नपि पश्यन्नपि वा मनःप्रवृत्तेरभावादीहापूर्वकं वर्तनं न भवति तस्य केवलिनः परमभट्टारकस्य, तस्मात् स भगवान् केवलज्ञानीति प्रसिद्धः, पुनस्तेन कारणेन स भगवान् अबन्धक इति ।

तथा हि — kevaḷīne [ईहापूर्वं] ichchhāpūrvak (vartan) [न भवति] hotun nathī; [तस्मात्] tethī temane [केवलज्ञानी] ‘kevaḷagnānī’ kahyā chhe; [तेन तु] vaḷī tethī [सः अबन्धकः भणितः] abandhak kahyā chhe.
ṭīkāḥ — ahīn, sarvagna vītarāgane vāñchhāno abhāv hoy chhe em kahyun chhe.
bhagavān arhant parameṣhṭhī sādi-anant amūrta atīndriyasvabhāvavāḷā shuddhasadbhūt- vyavahārathī kevaḷagnānādi shuddha guṇonā ādhārabhūt hovāne līdhe vishvane nirantar jāṇatā hovā chhatān ane dekhatā hovā chhatān, te param bhaṭṭārak kevaḷīne manapravr̥uttino (mananī pravr̥uttino, bhāvamanapariṇatino) abhāv hovāthī ichchhāpūrvak vartan hotun nathī; tethī te bhagavān ‘kevaḷagnānī’ tarīke prasiddha chhe; vaḷī te kāraṇathī te bhagavān abandhak chhe.

सम्यग्ज्ञानी जीवः क्वचित् कदाचिदपि स्वबुद्धिपूर्वकं वचनं न वक्ति स्वमनःपरिणामपूर्वकमिति यावत् । कुतः ? अमनस्काः केवलिनः इति वचनात् । अतः कारणाज्जीवस्य मनःपरिणतिपूर्वकं वचनं बंधकारणमित्यर्थः, मनःपरिणामपूर्वकं वचनं केवलिनो न भवति; ईहापूर्वं वचनमेव साभिलाषात्मकजीवस्य बंधकारणं भवति, केवलि- मुखारविन्दविनिर्गतो दिव्यध्वनिरनीहात्मकः समस्तजनहृदयाह्लादकारणम्; ततः सम्यग्ज्ञानिनो बंधाभाव इति

sādhakadashāmān je shuddhi ane ashuddhinā bhedaprabhedo vartatā hoy chhe te jin bhagavānamān nathī); rāganā abhāvane līdhe atul-mahimāvant evā te (bhagavān) vītarāgapaṇe virāje chhe. te shrīmān (shobhāvant bhagavān) nijasukhamān līn chhe, muktirūpī strīnā nāth chhe ane gnānajyoti vaḍe temaṇe lokanā vistārane sarvataḥ chhāī dīdho chhe. 291.
