भवत्यहिंसा । तेषां मृतिर्भवतु वा न वा, प्रयत्नपरिणाममन्तरेण सावद्यपरिहारो न भवति । अत एव प्रयत्नपरे हिंसापरिणतेरभावादहिंसाव्रतं भवतीति ।
न सा तत्रारम्भोऽस्त्यणुरपि च यत्राश्रमविधौ ।
भवानेवात्याक्षीन्न च विकृतवेषोपधिरतः ।।’’
तथा हि — ahinsā chhe. temanun maraṇ thāo ke na thāo, *prayatnarūp pariṇām vinā sāvadyaparihār (doṣhano tyāg) thato nathī. āthī ja, prayatnaparāyaṇane hinsāpariṇatino abhāv hovāthī ahinsāvrat hoy chhe.
evī rīte (āchāryavar) shrī samantabhadrasvāmīe (br̥uhatsvayambhūstotramān shrī namināth bhagavānanī stuti karatān 119mā shlok dvārā) kahyun chhe keḥ —
‘‘[shlokārthaḥ — ] jagatamān vidit chhe ke jīvonī ahinsā param brahma chhe. je āshramanī vidhimān lesh paṇ ārambh chhe tyān ( – te āshramamān arthāt sagranthapaṇāmān) te ahinsā hotī nathī. māṭe tenī siddhine arthe, (he namināth prabhu!) param karuṇāvant evā āpashrīe banne granthane chhoḍyā ( – dravya tem ja bhāv banne prakāranā parigrahane tajī nirgranthapaṇun aṅgīkr̥ut karyun), vikr̥ut vesh tathā parigrahamān rat na thayā.’’

te vyavahār-prayatna chhe. [shuddhapariṇati na hoy tyān shubhopayog haṭh sahit hoy chhe; te shubhopayog
to vyavahār-prayatna paṇ kahevāto nathī.]
