वशाभिधानपरमश्रमणः सर्वोत्कृष्टोऽन्तरात्मा, षोडशकषायाणामभावादयं क्षीणमोहपदवीं परिप्राप्य स्थितो महात्मा । असंयतसम्यग्द्रष्टिर्जघन्यांतरात्मा । अनयोर्मध्यमाः सर्वे मध्यमान्तरात्मानः । निश्चयव्यवहारनयद्वयप्रणीतपरमावश्यकक्रियाविहीनो बहिरात्मेति ।
anvayārthaḥ — [आवश्यकेन युक्त :] āvashyak sahit [श्रमणः] shramaṇ [सः] te [अंतरंगात्मा] antarātmā [भवति] chhe; [आवश्यकपरिहीणः] āvashyak rahit [श्रमणः] shramaṇ [सः] te [बहिरात्मा] bahirātmā [भवति] chhe.
ṭīkāḥ — ahīn, āvashyak karmanā abhāvamān tapodhan bahirātmā hoy chhe em kahyun chhe.
abhed-anupachār-ratnatrayātmak *svātmānuṣhṭhānamān niyat paramāvashyak-karmathī nirantar sanyukta evo je ‘svavash’ nāmano param shramaṇ te sarvotkr̥uṣhṭa antarātmā chhe; ā mahātmā soḷ kaṣhāyonā abhāv dvārā kṣhīṇamohapadavīne prāpta karīne sthit chhe. asanyat samyagdraṣhṭi jaghanya antarātmā chhe. ā benī madhyamān rahelā sarve madhyam antarātmā chhe. nishchay ane vyavahār e be nayothī praṇīt je param āvashyak kriyā tenāthī je rahit hoy te bahirātmā chhe.
shrī mārgaprakāshamān paṇ (be shlok dvārā) kahyun chhe keḥ —
‘‘[shlokārthaḥ — ] anyasamay (arthāt paramātmā sivāyanā jīvo) bahirātmā ane antarātmā em be prakāre chhe; temān bahirātmā deh-indriy vageremān ātmabuddhivāḷo hoy chhe.’’

svātmācharaṇamān niyamathī rahelun chhe arthāt te svātmācharaṇ ja param āvashyak karma chhe.)
