āvashyakatā nathī rahetī. parantu ukta indriyonī pravr̥utti ātmonmukh na hotān jo bāhya padārtho taraph
jaī rahī hoy to bāhya tap karavā chhatān paṇ yathārtha sukhanī prāpti thaī shakatī nathī. tethī ā
avasthāmān paṇ bāhya tap vyartha ja ṭhare chhe. e ja rīte jo antaraṅgamān ane bāhyamān par vastu
pratye anurāg rahyo na hoy to bāhya tapanun prayojan ā samatābhāvathī ja prāpta thaī jāy chhe,
tethī tenī āvashyakatā rahetī nathī. ane jo antaraṅg ane bāhyamān parapadārtho pratyeno anurāg
haṭyo na hoy to chitta rāg-dveṣhathī dūṣhit kahevāne kāraṇe bāhya tapanun ācharaṇ karavā chhatān paṇ
tenāthī kāī prayojan siddha nahi thāy. tethī ā avasthāmān paṇ bāhya tapanī āvashyakatā rahetī
nathī. tātparya e chhe ke bāhya tapashcharaṇ pahelān indriyadaman, rāg-dveṣhanun shaman ane man, vachan
tathā kāyānī saraḷ pravr̥utti thavī atyāvashyak chhe. e thatān ja te bāhya tapashcharaṇ sārthak thaī shakashe,
anyathā tenī nirarthakatā anivārya chhe. 156.
शुद्धादेश इति प्रभेदजनकं शुद्धेतरत्कप्लितम्
chhe te shuddhādesh kahevāy chhe ane je bhedane pragaṭ kare chhe te shuddhathī itar arthāt
ashuddhanay kalpit karāyo chhe. samyagdraṣhṭie sheṣh be upāyomānthī pratham shuddha tattvano
