gandhavarṇābhāvasvabhāvamindriyagrahaṇayogyatāyā abhāvādamūrtamityuchyate. chittagrahaṇayogyatāsadbhāv–
bhāgbhavati tadubhayamapi, chitan, hyaniyataviṣhayamaprāpyakāri matishrutagnānasādhanībhūtan mūrtamamūrtan cha

ṭīkāḥ– yah, mūrta aur amūrtake lakṣhaṇakā kathan hai.
is lokamen jīvon dvārā sparshanendriy, rasanendriy, dhrāṇendriy aur chakṣhurindriy dvārā unake
[–un indriyoṅke] viṣhayabhūt, sparsha–ras–gandh–varṇasvabhāvavāle padārtha [–sparsha, ras, gandh aur varṇa
jinakā svabhāv hai aise padārtha] grahaṇ hote hain [–gnāt hote hain]; aur shrotrendriy dvārā vahī padārtha
usake [shrotraindriyake]
1viṣhayahetubhūt shabdākār pariṇamit hote hue grahaṇ hote haĩn. ve [ve padārtha],
kadāchit sthūlaskandhapaneko prāpta hote hue, kadāchit sūkṣhmatvako [sūkṣhmaskandhapaneko] prāpta hote hue
aur kadāchit paramāṇupaneko prāpta hote hue indriyon dvārā grahaṇ hote hon yā na hote hon, indriyon
dvārā grahaṇ honekī yogyatākā [sadaiv] sadbhāv honese ‘mūrta’ kahalāte haĩn.
sparsha–ras–gandh–varṇakā abhāv jisakā svabhāv hai aisā sheṣh anya samasta padārthasamūh iīnadrayon
dvārā grahaṇ honekī yogyatāke abhāvake kāraṇ ‘amūrta’ kahalātā hai.
ve donon [–pūrvokta donon prakārake padārtha] chitta dvārā grahaṇ honekī yogyatāke sadbhāvavāle hain;
chitta– jo ki 2 aniyat viṣhayavālā, 3ajjāpyakārī aur matishrutagnānake sādhanabhūt [–matignān
tathā shrutagnānamen nimittabhūt] hai vah–mūrta tathā amūrtako grahaṇ karatā hai [–jānatā hai].. 99..
is prakār chūlikā samāpta huī.

4. un sparsha–ras–gandh–varṇasavabhāvavāle padārthohako [arthāt pudgaloṅko] shrotraindriyake viṣhay honemen hetubhūt

haĩn.
5. aniyat=anishchita. [jis prakār pān̐ch indriyomense pratayek indriyakā viṣhay niyat hai us prakār manakā
viṣhay niyat nahīn hai, aniyat haie.]
6. ajjāpyakārī=gney viṣhayoṅkā sparsha kiye binā kārya karanevālā yajānanevālā. [man aur chakṣhu ajjāpyakārī
hain, chakṣhuke atirikta chār indriyān̐ prāpyakārī haĩn.]

māp jīv–pudgaloṅke pariṇām dvārā hotā hai]; [pariṇāmaḥ dravyakālasambhūtaḥ] pariṇām dravyakālase
utpanna hotā hai.– [dvayoḥ eṣhaḥ svabhāvaḥ] yah, donoṅkā svabhāv hai. [kālaḥ kṣhaṇabhuṅguraḥ niyataḥ] kāl
kṣhaṇabhaṅgur tathā nitya hai.
ṭīkāḥ– yah, vyavahārakāl tathā nishchayakālake svarūpakā kathan hai.
vahān̐, ‘samay’ nāmakī jo kramik paryāy so vyavahārakāl hai; usake ādhārabhūt dravya vah
nishchayakāl hai.
vahān̐, vyavahārakāl nishchayakālakī paryāyarūp hone par bhī jīv–pudgaloṅke pariṇāmase māpā
jātā hai – gnāt hotā hai isaliye ‘jīv–pudgaloṅke pariṇāmase utpanna honevālā’ kahalātā hai; aur
jīv–pudgaloṅke pariṇām bahiraṅg–nimittabhūt dravyakālake sadbhāvamen utpanna honeke kāraṇ ‘dravyakālase

samayamātra jitanī hī] hai; nishchayakāl nitya hai, kyoṅki vah apane guṇ–paryāyoṅke ādhārabhūt
dravyarūpase sadaiv avināshī hai.. 100..

anvayārthaḥ– [kālaḥ iti cha vyapadeshaḥ] ‘kāl’ aisā vyapadesh [sadgāvaprarūpakaḥ] sadbhāvakā
prarūpak hai isaliye [nityaḥ bhavati] kāl [nishchayakāl] nitya hai. [utpannadhvansī aparaḥ] utpannadhvansī
aisā jo dūsarā kāl [arthāt utpanna hote hī naṣhṭa honevālā jo vyavahārakāl] vah
[dīrdhāntarasthāyī] [kṣhaṇik hone par bhī pravāhaapekṣhāse] dīrdha sthitikā bhī [kahā jātā] hai.

ṭīkāḥ– kālake ‘nitya’ aur ‘kṣhaṇik’ aise do vibhāgoṅkā yah kathan hai.
‘yah kāl hai, yah kāl hai’ aisā karake jis dravyavisheṣhakā sadaiv vyapadesh [nirdesh, kathan]
kiyā jātā hai, vah [dravyavisheṣh arthāt nishchayakālarūp khās dravya] sachamuch apane sadbhāvako pragaṭ
karatā huā nitya hai; aur jo utpanna hote hī naṣhṭa hotā hai, vah [vyavahārakāl] sachamuch usī
dravyavisheṣhakī ‘samay’ nāmak paryāy hai. vah kṣhaṇabhaṅgur hone par bhī apanī santatiko [pravāhako]
darshātā hai isaliye use nayake balase ‘dīrgha kāl tak ṭikanevālā’ kahanemen doṣh nahīn hai; isaliye
āvalikā, palyopam, sāgaropam ityādi vyavahārakā niṣhedh nahīn kiyā jātā.
is prakār yahān̐ aisā kahā hai ki–nishchayakāl dravyarūp honese nitya hai, vyavahārakāl
paryāyarūp honese kṣhaṇik hai.. 101..

anvayārthaḥ– [ete] yah [kālākāshe] kāl, ākāsh [dharmādharmaur] dharma, adharma, [pudgalāḥ]
pudgal [cha] aur [jīvāḥ] jīv [sab] [dravyasañgnān labhante] ‘dravya’ sañgnāko prāpta karate hain;
[kālasya tu] parantu kālako [kāyatvam] kāyapanā [na asti] nahīn hai.

lakṣhaṇoṅkā sadbhāv honese] ‘dravya’ sañgnāko prāpta karatā hai. is prakār chhah dravya haĩn. kintu jis
prakār jīv, pudgal, dharma, adharma aur ākāshako
1dvi–ādi pradesh jisakā lakṣhaṇ hai aisā
astikāyapanā hai, us prakār kālāṇuoṅko– yadyapi unakī saṅkhyā lokākāshake pradeshonn jitanī
[asaṅkhya] hai tathāpi – ekapradeshīpaneke kāraṇ astikāyapanā nahīn hai. aur aisā honese hī [arthāt
kāl astikāy na honese hī] yahān̐ pañchāstikāyake prakaraṇamen mukhyarūpase kālakā kathan nahīn kiyā
gayā hai; [parantu] jīv–pudgaloṅke pariṇām dvārā jo gnāt hotī hai – māpī jātī hai aisī usakī
paryāy honese tathā jīv–pudgaloṅke pariṇāmakī anyathā anupapatti dvārā jisakā anumān hotā hai

pudgalāstikāyake pariṇāmoṅkā varṇan karate hue, un pariṇāmonn dvārā jisake pariṇām gnāt hote hai– māpe jāte
hain us padārthakā [kālakā] tathā un pariṇāmoṅkī anyathā anupapatti dvārā jisakā anumān hotā hai us

ṭīkāḥ– yahān̐ pañchāstikāyake avabodhakā phal kahakar pañchāstikāyake vyākhyānakā upasanhār
kiyā gayā hai.
vāstavamen sampūrṇa [dvādashāṅgarūpase vistīrṇa] pravachan kāl sahit pañchāstikāyase anya kuchh bhī
pratipādit nahīn karatā; isaliye pravachanakā sār hī yah ‘pañchāstikāyasaṅgrah’ hai. jo puruṣh
samastavastutattvakā kathan karanevāle is ‘pañchāstikāyasaṅgrah’ ko

2. rāgadveṣhapariṇām aur karmabandha anādi kālase ek–dūsareko kāryakāraṇarūp haĩn.

3. svarūpavikār = svarūpakā vikāra. [svarūp do prakārakā haiḥ [1] dravyārthik nayake viṣhayabhūt svarūp, aur
[2] paryāyārthik nayake viṣhayabhūt svarūpa. jīvamen jo vikār hotā hai vah paryāyārthik nayake viṣhayabhūt svarūpamen
hotā hai, dravyārthik nayake viṣhayabhūt svarūpamen nahīn; vah [dravyārthik nayake viṣhayabhūt] svarūp to sadaiv atyanta
vishuddha chaitanyātmak hai.]

4. āropit = [nayā arthāt aupādhikarūpase] kiyā gayā. [sphaṭikamaṇimen aupādhikarūpase honevālī raṅgit
dashākī bhān̐ti jīvamen aupādhikarūpase vikāraparyāy hotī huī kadāchit anubhavamen ātī hai.]

5. sneh = rāgādirūp chikanāhaṭa.

6. sneh = sparshaguṇakī paryāyarūp chikanāhaṭa. [jis prakār jaghanya chikanāhaṭake sanmukh vartatā huā paramāṇu
bhāvī bandhase parāṅmukh hai, usī prakār jisake rāgādi jīrṇa hote jāte hain aisā puruṣh bhāvī bandhase parāṅmukh
hai.]

7. duḥsthiti = ashānt sthiti [arthāt tale–upar honā, khadbad honā]ḥ asthiratā; kharāb–burī sthiti. [jis
prakār agnitapta jal khadbad hotā hai, tale–upar hotā rahatā hai, usī prakār duḥkh ākulatāmay hai.]

anvayārthaḥ– [jīvaḥ] jīv [etad arthan gnātvā] is arthako jānakar [–is shāstrake arthambhūt
shuddhātmāko jānakar], [tadanugamanodyataḥ] usake anusaraṇakā udyam karatā huā [nihatamohaḥ]
hatamoh hokar [–jise darshanamohakā kṣhay huā ho aisā hokar], [prashamitarāgadveṣhaḥ] rāgadveṣhako
prashamit [nivr̥utta] karake, [hataparāparaḥ bhavati] uttar aur pūrva bandhakā jise nāsh huā hai aisā
hotā hai .
ṭīkāḥ– is, duḥkhase vimukta honeke kramakā kathan hai.
pratham, koī jīv is shāstrake arthabhūt shuddhachaitanyasvabhāvavāle [nij] ātmāko jānatā hai;
ataḥ [phir] usīke anusaraṇakā udyam karatā hai; ataḥ use draṣhṭimohakā kṣhay hotā hai; ataḥ svarūpake
parichayake kāraṇ gnānajyoti pragaṭ hotī hai; ataḥ rāgadveṣh prashamit hote hain – nivr̥utta hote hain; ataḥ
uttar aur pūrva [–pīchhekā aur pahalekā] bandha vinaṣhṭa hotā hai; ataḥ punaḥ bandha honeke hetutvakā
abhāv honese svarūpastharūpase sadaiv tapatā hai––pratāpavanta vartatā hai [arthāt vah jīv sadaiv
svarūpasthit rahakar paramānandagnānādirūp pariṇamit hai].. 104..

bhavyajīvoṅko [mokṣhasya mārgaḥ] mokṣhakā mārga [bhavati] hotā hai.

samyaktva aur gnānase yukta hī –na ki asamyaktva aur agnānase yukta, chāritra hī – na ki

ātmatattvake
1vinishchayakā bīj hai. 2naukāgamanake sanskārakī bhān̐ti mithyādarshanake udayake kāraṇ jo
svarūpaviparyayapūrvak adhyavasit hote hain [arthāt viparīt svarūpase samajhamen āte hain – bhāsit hote
hain] aise un ‘bhāvon’ kā hī [–nav padārthoṅkā hī], mithyādarshanake udayakī nivr̥utti hone par, jo
samyak adhyavasāy [satya samajh, yathārtha avabhās, sachchā avabodh] honā, vah samyaggnān hai – jo
ki [samyaggnān] kuchh anshamen gnānachetanāpradhān ātmatattvakī upalabdhikā [anubhūtikā] bīj hai.
samyagdarshan aur samyaggnānake sadbhāvake kāraṇ samasta amārgonse chhūṭakar jo svatattvamen visheṣharūpase
3rūrḥ mārgavāle hue hain unhen indriy aur manake viṣhayabhūt padārthoṅke prati rāgadveṣhapūrvak vikārake
abhāvake kāraṇ jo nirvikāragnānasvabhāvavālā samabhāv hotā hai, vah chāritra hai – jo ki [chāritra]
us kālamen aur āgāmī kālamen ramaṇīy hai aur apunarbhavake [mokṣhake] mahā saukhyakā ek bīj hai.
–aise is trilakṣhaṇ [samyagdarshan–gnān–chāritrātmak] mokṣhamārgakā āge nishchay aur vyavahārase
vyākhyān kiyā jāegā. yahān̐ to samyagdarshan aur samyaggnānake viṣhayabhūt nav padārthoṅke 4upodghātake
hetu rūpase usakī sūchanā dī gaī hai.. 107..

yahān̐ ‘sanskārādi’ke badale jahān̐ tak sambhav hai ‘sanskārādiv’ honā chāhiye aisā lagatā hai.
1. vinishchay = nishchay; drarḥ nishchaya.
2. jis prakār nāvamen baiṭhe hue kisī manuṣhyako nāvakī gatike sanskāravash, padārtha viparīt svarūpase samajhamen āte
hain [arthāt svayam gatimān hone par bhī sthir ho aisā samajhamen ātā hai aur vr̥ukṣha, parvat ādi sthir hone par
bhī gatimān samajhamen āte hain], usī prakār jīvako mithyādarshanake udayavash nav padārtha viparīt svarūpase
samajhamen āte haĩn.
3. rūrḥ = pakkā; parichayase drarḥ huā. [samyagdarshan aur samyaggnānake kāraṇ jinakā svatattvagat mārga visheṣh
rūrḥạ huā hai unhen indriyamanake viṣhayoṅke prati rāgadveṣhake abhāvake kāraṇ vartatā huā nirvikāragnānasvabhāvī
samabhāv vah chāritra hai ].

4. upodghāt = prastāvanā [samyagdarshan–gnān–chāritra mokṣhamārga hai. mokṣhamārgake pratham do aṅg jo samyagdarshan
aur samyaggnān unake viṣhay nav padārtha hain; isaliye ab agalī gāthāommen nav padārthoṅkā vyakhyān kiyā jātā
hai. mokṣhamārgakā vistr̥ut vyakhyān āge jāyegā. yahān̐ to nav padārthoṅke vyakhyānakī prastāvanā ke heturūpase usakī
mātra sūchanā dī gaī hai.]

pudgalāstikaḥ, dharmāstikaḥ, adharmāstikaḥ, ākāshāstikaḥ, kāladravyañcheti. imau hi jīvājīvau

chaitanyakā abhāv jisakā lakṣhaṇ hai vah ajīv hai; vah [ajīv] pān̐ch prakārase pahale kahā hī hai–
pudgalāstik, dharmāstik, adharmāstik, ākāshāstik aur kāladravya. yah jīv aur ajīv
[donon] pr̥uthak astitva dvārā niṣhpanna honese bhinna jinake svabhāv hain aise [do] mūl padārtha hain .

aise pudgaloṅke karmapariṇām [–shubhakarmarūp pariṇām] vah puṇya haĩn. jīvake ashubh pariṇām [vah pāp

1shātan karanemen samartha aisā jo bahiraṅg aur antaraṅg

vah nirjarā haie. jīvake, moharāgadveṣh dvārā snigdha pariṇām [vah bandha hai] tathā usake [–snigdha
pariṇāmake] nimittase karmarūp pariṇat pudgaloṅkā jīvake sāth anyonya avagāhan [–vishiṣhṭa shakti
sahit ekakṣhetrāvagāhasambandha] vah bandha hai. jīvakī atyanta shuddha ātmopalabdhi [vah mokṣha hai] tathā
karmapudgaloṅkā jīvase atyanta vishleṣh [viyog] vah mokṣha hai.. 108..

anvayārthaḥ– [jīvāḥ dvividhāḥ] jīv do prakārake hain; [sansārasthāḥ nirvr̥uttāḥ] sansārī aur siddha.
[chetanātmakāḥ] ve chetanātmak [–chetanāsvabhāvavāle] [api cha] tathā [upayogalakṣhaṇāḥ]
upayogalakṣhaṇavāle haĩn. [dehādehapravīchārāḥ] sansārī jīv dehamen vartanevāle arthāt dehasahit hain aur
siddha jīv dehamen nahīn vartanevāle arthāt deharahit haĩn.
ṭīkāḥ– yah, jīvake svarūpakā kathan hai.
jīv do prakārake hainḥ – [1] sansārī arthāt ashuddha, aur [2] siddha arthāt shuddha. ve donon
vāstavamen chetanāsvabhāvavāle hain aur chetanāpariṇāmasvarūp upayog dvārā lakṣhit honeyogya [–
pahichānejāneyogya] haĩn. unamen, sansārī jīv dehamen vartanevāle arthāt dehasahit hain aur siddha jīv
dehamen nahīn vartanevāle arthāt deharahit haĩn.. 109

rahanevāle jīvoṅko [khalu] vāstavamen [mohabahulan] atyanta mohase sanyukta [sparshan dadati] sparsha detī

sparshanendriyāvaraṇakā [–bhāvasparshanendriyake āvaraṇakā] kṣhayopasham hotā hai aur ve–ve kāyen bāhya sparshanendriyakī
rachanārūp hotī hain, isaliye ve–ve kāyen un–un jīvoṅko sparshakī upalabdhimen nimittabhūt hotī haĩn. un
jīvoṅko honevālī sparshopalabdhi prabal moh sahit hī hotī hain, kyoṅki ve jīv karmaphalachetanāpradhān hote haĩn.]

2. vāyukāyik aur agnikāyik jīvoṅko chalanakriyā dekhakar vyavahārase tras kahā jātā hai; nishchayase to ve bhī
sthāvaranāmakarmādhīnapaneke kāraṇ –yadyapi unhen vyavahārase chalan haie tathāpi –sthāvar hī haĩn.

tyān jīv traṇ sthāvaratanu, tras jīv agni–samīranā;
e sarva manapariṇāmavirahit ek–indriy jāṇavā. 111.

anvayārthaḥ– [aṇḍeṣhu pravardhamānāḥ] aṇḍemen vr̥uddhi pānevāle prāṇī, [garbhasthāḥ] garbhamen rahe hue prāṇī
[cha] aur [mūrchchhā gatāḥ mānuṣhāḥ] mūrchhā prāpta manuṣhya, [yādrashāḥ] jaise [buddhipūrvak vyāpār rahit] hain,
[tādrashāḥ] vaise [ekendriyāḥ jīvāḥ] ekendriy jīv [gneyāḥ] jānanā.
ṭīkāḥ– yah, ekendriyoṅko chaitanyakā astitva hone sambandhī draṣhṭāntakā kathan hai.
