[bhagavānashrīkundakunda
–iti nirjarāpadārthavyākhyānan samāptam.

jis prakār thoṛī–sī agni bahut–se ghās aur kāṣhṭhakī rāshiko alpa kālamen jalā detī hai,
usī prakār mithyātva–kaṣhāyādi vibhāvake parityāgasvarūp mahā pavanase prajvalit huī aur apūrva–
adbhūt–param–āhlādātmak sukhasvarūp ghr̥utase siñchī huī nishchay–ātmasamvedanarūp dhyānāgni
mūlottaraprakr̥itibhedavāle karmarūpī indhanakī rāshiko kṣhaṇamātramen jalā detī hai.
bhāvārthaḥ– nirvikār niṣhkriy chaitanyachamatkāramen nishchal pariṇati vah 2dhyān hai. yah dhyān mokṣhake
upāyarūp hai.
is pañchamakālamen bhī yathāshakti dhyān ho sakatā hai. is kālameen jo vichchhed hai so
shukladhyānakā hai, dharmadhyānakā nahī̃n. āj bhī yahān̐se jīv dharmadhyān karake devakā bhav aur phir
manuṣhyakā bhav pākar mokṣha prāpta karate haĩn. aur bahushrutadhar hī dhyān kar sakate hain aisā bhī nahīn hai;
sārabhūt alpa shrutase bhī dhyān ho sakatā hai. isaliye mokṣhārthīyoṅko shuddhātmākā pratipādak,
savanranirjarākā karanevālā aur jarāmaraṇakā haranevālā sārabhūt upadesh grahaṇ karake dhyān karaneyogya
hai.
[yahān̐ yah lakṣhamen rakhane yogya hai ki uparokta dhyānakā mūl samyagdarshan hai. samyagdarshanake binā
dhyān nahīn hotā, kyoṅki nirvikār niṣhkriy chaitanyachamatkārakī [shuddhātmākī] samyak pratīti binā
usamen nishchal pariṇati kahān̐se hosakatī hai? isaliye mokṣhake upāyabhūt dhyān karanekī ichchhā
rakhanevāle jīvakoe pratham to jinokta dravyaguṇaparyāyarūp vastusvarūpakī yathārtha samajhapūrvak nirvikār
niṣhkriy chaitanyachamatkārakī samyak pratītikā sarva prakārase udyam karane yogya hai; usake pashchāt hī
chaitanyachamatkāramen visheṣh līnatākā yathārtha udyam ho sakatā hai].. 146..
is prakār nirjarāpadārthakā vyākhyān samāpta huā.

yan shubhamashubhamudīrṇan bhāvan raktaḥ karoti yadyātmā.
sa ten bhavati baddhaḥ pudgalakarmaṇā vividhena.. 147..

yadi khalvayamātmā paropāshrayeṇānādiraktaḥ karmodayaprabhāvatvādudīrṇan shubhamashubhan vā bhāvan karoti,
tadā sa ātmā ten nimittabhūten bhāven pudgalakarmaṇā vividhen baddho bhavati. tadatra moharāgadveṣhasnigdhaḥ
shubho‘shubho vā pariṇāmo jīvasya bhāvabandhaḥ, tannimitten shubhāshubhakarmatvapariṇatānān jīven
sahānyonyamūrchchhanan pudgalānān dravyabandha iti.. 147..

anvayārthaḥ– [yadi] yadi [ātmā] ātmā [raktaḥ] rakta [vikārī] vartatā huā [udīrṇan]
udit [yam shubham ashubham bhāvam] shubh yā ashubh bhāvako [karoti] karatā hai, to [saḥ] vah
ātmā [ten] us bhāv dvārā [–us bhāvake nimittase] [vividhen pudgalakarmaṇā] vividh
pudgalakarmonse [baddhaḥ bhavati] baddha hotā hai.
ṭīkāḥ– yah, bandhake svarūpakā kathan hai.
yadi vāstavamen yah ātmā anyake [–pudgalakarmake] āshray dvārā anādi kālase rakta rahakar
karmodayake prabhāvayuktarūp vartanese udit [–pragaṭ honevāle] shubh yā ashubh bhāvako karatā hai, to vah
ātmā us nimittabhūt bhāv dvārā vividh pudgalakarmase baddha hotā hai. isaliye yahān̐ [aisā kahā hai
ki], moharāgadveṣh dvārā snigdha aise jo jīvake shubh yā ashubh pariṇām vah bhāvabandha hai aur usake
[–shubhāshubh pariṇāmake] nimittase shubhāshubh karmarūp pariṇat pudgaloṅkā jīvake sāth anyonya
avagāhan [–vishiṣhṭa shakti sahit ekakṣhetrāvagāhasambandha] vah dravya bandha hai.. 147..

manovachanakāyasambhūtaḥ] yog manavachanakāyajanit [ātmapradeshaparispand] hai. [bhāvanimittaḥ bandhaḥ] bandhakā
nimitta bhāv hai; [bhāvaḥ ratirāgadveṣhamohayutaḥ] bhāv ratirāgadveṣhamohase yukta [ātmapariṇām] hai.
ṭīkāḥ– yah, bandhake bahiraṅg kāraṇ aur antaraṅg kāraṇakā kathan hai.
grahaṇ arthāt karmapudgaloṅkā jīvapradeshavartī [–jīvake pradeshoṅke sāth ek kṣhetramen sthit]
karmaskandhomen pravesh; usakā nimitta yog hai. yog arthāt vachanavargaṇā, manovargaṇā, kāyavargaṇā aur
karmavargaṇākā jisamen ālamban hotā hai aisā ātmapradeshoṅkā parispanda [arthāt jīvake pradeshoṅkā
kampana.
bandh arthāt karmapudgaloṅkā vishiṣhṭa shaktirūp pariṇām sahit sthit rahanā [arthāt
karmapudgaloṅkā amuk anubhāgarūp shakti sahit amuk kāl tak ṭikanā]; usakā nimitta jīvabhāv
haie. jīvabhāv ratirāgadveṣhamohayukta [pariṇām] hai arthāt mohanīyake vipākase utpanna honevālā vikār
hai

nimitta hotā hai aur jīvake usī pariṇāmamen vartatā huā moharāgadveṣhabhāv karmake sthiti–anubhāgakā
arthāt ‘bandh’ kā nimitta hotā hai; isaliye moharāgadveṣhabhāvako ‘bandha’ kā antaraṅg kāraṇ [antaraṅg
nimitta] kahā hai aur yogako – jo ki ‘grahaṇ’ kā nimitta hai use–‘bandha’ kā bahiraṅg kāraṇ
[bāhya nimitta] kahā hai.. 148..
isaliye yahān̐ [bandhamenn], bahiraṅg kāraṇ [–nimitta] yog hai kyoṅki vah pudgaloṅke grahaṇakā
hetu hai, aur antaraṅg kāraṇ [–nimitta] jīvabhāv hī hai kyoṅki vah [karmapudgaloṅkī] vishiṣhṭa shakti
tathā sthitikā hetu hai.. 148..
bhāvārthaḥ– karmabandhaparyāyake chār visheṣh hainḥ prakr̥itibandha, pradeshabandha, sthitibandha aur anubhāgabandha.
isamen sthiti–anubhāg hī atyanta mukhya visheṣh hain, prakr̥iti–pradesh to atyanta gauṇ visheṣh hain; kyoṅki
sthiti–anubhāg binā karmabandhaparyāy nāmamātra hī rahatī hai. isaliye yahān̐ prakr̥iti–pradeshabandhakā mātra
‘grahaṇ’ shabdase kathan kiyā hai aur sthiti–anubhāgabandhakā hī ‘bandha’ shabdase kahā hai.
gāthā 149
anvayārthaḥ– [chaturvikalpaḥ hetuḥ] [dravyamithyātvādi] chār prakārake hetu [aṣhṭavikalpasya
kāraṇam] āṭh prakārake karmoṅke kāraṇ [bhaṇitam] kahe gaye hain; [teṣhām api cha] unhen bhī
[rāgādayaḥ] [jīvake] rāgādibhāv kāraṇ hain; [teṣhām abhāve] rāgādibhāvoṅke abhāvamen [na badhyante]
jīv nahīnn ban̐dhate.

bandhahetupaneke hetu jīvabhāvabhūt rāgādik hain; kyoṅki

3. udayagat dravyamithyātvādi pratyayoṅkī bhān̐ti rāgādibhāv navīn karmabandhamen mātra bahiraṅg nimitta nahīn hai kintu ve

vinā] āsravabhāvake abhāvamen [karmaṇaḥ nirodhaḥ jāyate] karmakā nirodh hotā hai. [cha] aur [karmaṇām
abhāven] karmoṅkā abhāv honese vah [sarvagnaḥ sarvalokadarshī cha] sarvagna aur sarvalokadarshī hotā huā
[indriyarahitam] indriyarahit, [avyābādham] avyābādh, [anantam sukham prāpnoti] ananta sukhako
prāpta karatā hai.

āsravaheturhi jīvasya moharāgadveṣharūpo bhāvaḥ. tadabhāvo bhavati gnāninaḥ. tadabhāve
bhavatyāsravabhāvābhāvaḥ. āsravabhāvābhāve bhavati karmābhāvaḥ. karmābhāven bhavati sārvagnan sarva–
darshitvamavyābādhamindriyavyāpārātītamanantasukhatvañcheti. sa eṣh jīvanmuktināmā bhāvamokṣhaḥ. kathamiti
chet. bhāvaḥ khalvatra vivakṣhitaḥ karmāvr̥uttachaitanyasya kramapravartamānagnaptikriyārūpaḥ. sa khalu
sansāriṇo‘nādimohanīyakarmodayānuvr̥uttivashādashuddho dravyakarmāsravahetuḥ. sa tu gnānino moharāg–
dveṣhānuvr̥uttirūpeṇ prahīyate. tato‘sya āsravabhāvo nirudhyate. tato niruddhāsravabhāvasyāsya
mohakṣhayeṇātyantanirvikāramanādimudritānantachaitanyavīryasya shuddhagnaptikriyārūpeṇāntarmuhūrta– mativāhya
yugapañgnānadarshanāvaraṇāntarāyakṣheyaṇ kathañchich
kūṭasthagnānatvamavāpya gnaptikriyārūpe
kramapravr̥uttyabhāvādbhāvakarma vinashyati.

āsravakā hetu vāstavamen jīvakā moharāgadveṣharūp bhāv hai. gnānīko usakā abhāv hotā hai.
usakā abhāv hone par āsravabhāvakā abhāv hotā hai. āsravabhāvakā abhāv hone par karmakā abhāv
hotā hai. karmakā abhāv hone par sarvagnatā, sarvadarshitā aur avyābādh, 1indriyavyāpārātīt, ananta
sukh hotā hai. yah
nimnānusār prakār spaṣhṭīkaraṇ haieḥ–
3. vivakṣhit=kathan karanā hai.
2jīvanmukti nāmakā bhāvamokṣha hai. ‘kis prakār?’ aisā prashna kiyā jāy to
yahān̐ jo ‘bhāv’ 3vivakṣhit hai vah karmāvr̥ut [karmase āvr̥ut hue] chaitanyakī kramānusār pravartatī
gnāptikriyārūp hai. vah [kramānusār pravartatī gnaptikriyārūp bhāv] vāstavamen sansārīko anādi kālase
mohanīyakarmake udayakā anusaraṇ karatī huī pariṇatike kāraṇ ashuddha hai, dravyakarmāsravakā hetu hai.
parantu vah [kramānusār pravartatī gnaptikriyārūp bhāv] gnānīko moharāgadveṣhavālī pariṇatirūpase hāniko
prāpta hotā hai isaliye use āsravabhāvako nirodh hotā hai. isaliye jise āsravabhāvakā nirodh huā
hai aise us gnānīko mohake kṣhay dvārā atyanta nirvikārapanā honese, jise anādi kālase ananta
chaitanya aur [ananta] vīrya mund gayā hai aisā vah gnānī [kṣhīṇamoh guṇasthānamen] shuddha gnaptikriyārūpase
antarmuhūrta vyatīt karake yugapad gnānāvaraṇ, darshanāvaraṇ aur antarāyakā kṣhay honese kathañchit
1kūṭastha gnānako prāpta karatā hai aur is prakār use gnaptikriyāke rūpamen kramapravr̥uttikā abhāv honese
bhāvakarmakā vināsh hotā hai.

athavā sarvagna –sarvadarshīpanekī aur anantānandamayapanekī pragaṭatā vah bhāvamokṣha hai.]

prakṣhīṇapaneke kāraṇ, ananta gnānadarshanase sampūrṇa shuddhagnānachetanāmayapaneke kāraṇ tathā atīndriyapaneke
kāraṇ jo anyadravyake sanyog rahit hai aur shuddha svarūpamen avichalit chaitanyavr̥uttirūp honeke kāraṇ
jo kathañchit ‘dhyān’ nāmake yogya hai aisā ātmākā svarūp [–ātmākī nij dashā] pūrvasañchit
karmoṅkī shaktiko shātan athavā unakā patan dekhakar nirjarāke heturūpase varṇan kiyā jātā hai.

anyadravyake sansarga rahit hai aur shuddhasvarūpamen nishchal chaitanyapariṇatirūp honeke kāraṇ kisī prakār
‘dhyān’ nāmake yogya hai. unakī aisī ātmadashākā nirjarāke nimittarūpase varṇan kiyā jātā hai

hai.

bhāvārthaḥ– jo jīv shuddhopayogī vartatā huā aur jisakī pariṇati parakī or nahīn jātī aisā
vartatā huā, ātmāko svabhāvabhūt gnānadarshanapariṇām dbārā sthiratāpūrvak jānatā–dekhatā hai, vah jīv
svachāritrakā ācharaṇ karanevālā hai; kyoṅki dr̥ushignaptisvarūp ātmāmen mātra dr̥ushignaptirūpase pariṇamit
hokar rahanā vah svachāritra hai.. 158..

anvayārthaḥ– [yaḥ] jo [paradravyātmabhāvarahitātmā] paradravyātmak bhāvonse rahit svarūpavālā
vartatā huā, [darshanagnānavikalpam] [nijasvabhāvabhūt] darshanagnānarūp bhedako [ātmanaḥ avikalpan]
ātmāse abherūp [charati] ācharatā hai, [saḥ] vah [svakan charitan charati] svachāritrako ācharatā hai.

nirvikalpadhyānapariṇat [–shuddhādnashraddhānagnānachāritrapariṇat] muniko nishchayanayase mokṣhamārga hai kyoṅki vahān̐
[mokṣharūp] sādhya aur [mokṣhamārgarūp] sādhan ek prakārake arthāt shuddhātmarūp [–shuddhātmaparyāyarūp] haĩn.
yo hi yogīndraḥ samastamohavyūhabahirbhūtatvātparadravyasvabhāvabhāvarahitātmā san, svadravya–
mekamevābhimukhyenānuvartamānaḥ svasvabhāvabhūtan darshanagnānavikalpamapyātmano‘vikalpatven charati, sa khalu
svakan charitan charati. evan hi shuddhadravyāshritamabhinnasādhya–

2. yahān̐ nishchayanayakā viṣhay shuddhadravya arthāt shuddhaparyāyapariṇat dravya hai, arthāt akale dravyakī [–paranimitta
rahit] shuddhaparyāy haie; jaise ki nirvikalpa shuddhaparyāyapariṇat muniko nishchayanayase mokṣhamārga hai.

4. jin paryāyommen sva tathā par kāraṇ hote hain arthāt upādānakāraṇ tathā nimittakāraṇ hote hain ve paryāyen
svaparahetuk paryāyen hain; jaise ki chhaṭhaven guṇasthānamen [dravyārthikanayake viṣhayabhūt shuddhātmasvarūpake ānshik
avalamban sahit] vartate hue tattvārthashraddhān [navapadārthagat shraddhān], tattvārthagnān [navapadārthagat gnān] aur
pañchamahāvratādirūp chāritra–yah sab svaparahetuk paryāyen haĩn. ve yahā vyavahāranayake viṣhayabhūt haĩn.

2. jis pāṣhāṇamen suvarṇa ho use suvarṇapāṣhāṇ kahā jātā hai. jis prakār vyavahāranayase suvarṇapāṣhāṇ suvarṇakā
sādhan hai, usī prakār vyavahāranayase vyavahāramokṣhamārga nishchayamokṣhamārgakā sādhan hai; arthāt vyavahāranayase
bhāvaliṅgī muniko savikalpa dashāmen vartate hue tattvārthashraddhān, tattvārthagnān aur mahāvratādirūp chāritra nirvikalpa
dashāmen vartate hue shuddhātmashraddhānagnānānuṣhṭhānanake sādhan haĩn.
3. tīrtha=mārga [arthāt mokṣhamārga]; upāy [arthāt mokṣhakā upāy]; upadesh; shāsana.
4. jinabhagavānake upadeshamen do nayon dvārā nirūpaṇ hotā hai. vahān̐, nishchayanay dvārā to satyārtha nirūpaṇ kiyā
jātā haie aur vyavahāranay dvārā abhūtārtha upacharit nirūpaṇ kiyā jātā hai.

prashnaḥ–
satyārtha nirūpaṇ hī karanā chāhiye; abhūtārtha upacharit nirūpaṇ kisaliye kiyā jātā hai?

uttaraḥ–
jise sinhakā yathārtha svarūp sīdhā samajhamen na ātā ho use sinhake svarūpake upacharit nirūpaṇ
dvārā arthāt billīke svarūpake nirūpaṇ dvārā sinhake yathārtha svarūpakī samajh kī or le jāte hain, usī
prakār jise vastukā yathārtha svarūp sīdhā samajhamen na ātā ho use vastusvarūpake upacharit nirūpaṇ dvārā
vastusvarūpakī yathārtha samajh kī or le jāte haĩn. aur lambe kathanake badalemen saṅkṣhipta kathan karaneke lie bhī
vyavahāranay dvārā upacharit nirūpaṇ kiyā jātā hai. yahān̐ itanā lakṣhamen rakhaneyogya hai ki – jo puruṣh
billīke nirūpaṇako hī sinhakā nirūpaṇ mānakar billīko hī sinh samajh le vah to upadeshake hī yogya
nahīn hai, usī prakār jo puruṣh upacharit nirūpaṇako hī satyārtha nirūpaṇ mānakar vastusvarūpako mithyā
rītise samajh baiṭhee vah to upadeshake hī yogya nahīn hai.
