cheṭṭhā tavamhi chariyā vavahāro mokkhamaggo tti.. 160..
ṭīkāḥ– nishchayamokṣhamārgake sādhanarūpase, pūrvodṣhṭi [107 vīn gāthāmen ullikhit]
vyavahāramokṣhamārgakā yah nirdesh hai.
dharmādishraddhānan samyaktvan gnānamaṅgapūrvagatam.
cheṣhṭā tapasi charyā vyavahāro mokṣhamārga iti.. 160..
nishchayamokṣhamārgasādhanabhāven pūrvoddiṣhṭavyavahāramokṣhamārganirdesho‘yam.

anvayārthaḥ– [dharmādishraddhānan samyaktvam] dharmāstikāyādikā shraddhān so samyaktva [aṅgapūrvagatam
gnānam] aṅgapūrvasambandhī gnān so gnān aur [tapasi cheṣhṭā charyā] tapamen cheṣhṭā [–pravr̥utti] soe chāritra;
[iti] is prakār [vyavahāraḥ mokṣhamārgaḥ] vyavahāramokṣhamārga hai.

[yahān̐ ek udāharaṇ liyā jātā haiḥ–
sādhya–sādhan sambandhī satyārtha nirūpaṇ is prakār hai ki ‘chhaṭhaven guṇasthānamen vartatī huī ānshik shuddhi
sātaven guṇasthānayogya nirvikalpa shuddha pariṇatikā sādhan hai.’ ab, ‘chhaṭhaven guṇasthānamen kaisī athavā kitanī
shuddhi hotī haie’– is bātako bhī sāth hī sāth samajhanā ho to vistārase eaisā nirūpaṇ kiyā jātā hai ki
‘jis shuddhike sadbhāvamen, usake sāth–sāth mahāvratādike shubhavikalpa haṭh vinā sahajarūpase pravartamān ho vah
chhaṭhaven guṇasthānayogya shuddhi sātaven guṇasthānayogya nirvikalpa shuddha pariṇatikā sādhan hai.’ aise lambe kathanake
badale, aisā kahā jāe ki ‘chhaṭhaven guṇasthānamen pravartamān mahāvratādike shubh vikalpa sātaven guṇasthānayogya
nirvikalpa shuddha pariṇatikā sādhan hai,’ to vah upacharit nirūpaṇ hai. aise upacharit nirūpaṇamense aisā artha
nikālanā chāhiye ki ‘mahāvratādike shubh vikalpa nahīn kintu unake dvārā jis chhaṭhaven guṇasthānayogya shuddhi
batānā thā vah shūddhi vāstavamen sātaven guṇasthānayogya nirvikalpa shuddha pariṇatikā sādhan hai.’]

svarapāṣhāṇārpitadīptajātavedovatsamāhitāntaraṅgasya pratipadamuparitanashuddhabhūmikāsu paramaramyāsu
vishrāntimabhinnān niṣhpādayan, jātyakārtasvarasyev shuddhajīvasya kathañchidbhinnasādhyasādhanabhāvābhāvā–
tsvayan shuddhasvabhāven vipariṇamamānasyāpi, nishchayamokṣhamārgasya sādhanabhāvamāpadyat iti.. 160..

samyagdarshan–gnān–chāritra so mokṣhamārga hai. vahān̐ [chhah] dravyarūp aur [nav] padārtharūp jinake
bhed hain aise dharmādike tattvārthashraddhānarūp bhāv [–dharmāstikāyādikī tattvārthapratītirūp bhāv] jisakā
svabhāv hai aisā, ‘shraddhān’ nāmakā bhāvavisheṣh so samyaktva; tattvārthashraddhānake sadbhāvamen aṅgapūrvagat
padārthonṅkā avabodhan [–jānanā] so gnān; āchārādi sūtron dvārā kahe gae anekavidh muni–āchāroṅke
samasta samudāyarūp tapamen cheṣhṭā [–pravartan] so chāritra; – aisā yah, svaparahetuk paryāyake āshrit,
bhinnasādhyasādhanabhāvavāle vyavahāranayake āshrayase [–vyavahāranayakī apekṣhāse] anusaraṇ kiyā
jānevālā mokṣhamārga, suvarṇapāṣhāṇako lagāī jānevālī pradīpta agnikī bhān̐ti samāhit antaraṅgavāle
jīvako [arthāt] jisakā antaraṅg ekāgra–samādhiprāpta hai aise jīvako] pad–pad par param ramya
aisī uparakī shuddha bhūmikāommen abhinna vishrānti [–abhedarūp sthiratā] utpanna karatā huā – yadyapi
uttam suvarṇakī bhān̐ti shuddha jīv kathañchit bhinnasādhyasādhanabhāvake abhāvake kāraṇ svayam [apane āp]
shuddha svabhāvase pariṇamit hotā hai tathāpi–nishchayamokṣhamārgake sādhanapaneko prāpta hotā hai.

shraddhān tathā gnān donon, gr̥uhasthako aur tapodhanako samān hote hain; chāritra, tapodhanoṅko āchārādi charaṇagranthommen
vihit kiye hue mārgānusār pramatta–apramatta guṇasthānayogya pañchamahāvrat–pañchasamiti–trigupti–ṣhaḍāvashyakādirūp

nishchayanayen bhaṇitastribhistaiḥ samāhitaḥ khalu yaḥ ātmā.
na karoti kiñchidapyanyanna muñchati sa mokṣhamārga iti.. 161..
vyavahāramokṣhamārgasādhyabhāven nishchayamokṣhamārgopanyāso‘yam.

vyavahārasādhan banatā huā, yadyapi nirvikalpashuddhabhāvapariṇat jīvako paramārthase to uttam suvarṇakī
bhān̐ti abhinnasādhyasādhanabhāvake kāraṇ svayamev shuddhabhāvarūp pariṇaman hotā hai tathāpi, vyavahāranayase
nishchayamokṣhamārgake sādhanapaneko prāpta hotā hai.
[agnānī dravyaliṅgī munikā antaraṅg leshamātra bhī samāhit nahīn honese arthāt
use[dravyārthikanayake viṣhayabhūt shuddhātmasvarūpake agnānake kāraṇ] shuddhikā ansh bhī pariṇamit nahīn
honese use vyavahāramokṣhamārga bhī nahīn hai..] 160..
gāthā 161
anvayārthaḥ– [yaḥ ātmā] jo ātmā [taiḥ tribhiḥ khalu samāhitaḥ] in tīn dvārā vāstavamen
samāhit hotā huā [arthāt samyagdarshanagnānachāritra dvārā vāstavamen ekāgra–abhed hotā huā]
[anyat kiñchit api] anya kuchh bhī [na karoti na muñchati] karatā nahīn hai yā chhoṛatā nahīn hai,
[saḥ] vah [nishchayanayen] nishchayanayase [mokṣhamārgaḥ iti bhaṇitaḥ] ‘mokṣhamārga’ kahā gayā hai.

ṭīkāḥ– vyavahāramokṣhamārgake sādhyarūpase, nishchayamokṣhamārgakā yah kathan hai.

ashraddhānake, aṅgapūrvagat padārthonsambandhī agnānake aur atapamen cheṣhṭāke tyāg hetuse tathā dharmādisambandhī
tattvārtha–shraddhānake, aṅgapūrvagat padārthonsambandhī gnānake aur tapamen cheṣhṭāke grahaṇ hetuse [–tīnoṅke tyāg
hetu tathā tīnoṅke grahaṇ hetuse] vivikta bhāvarūp vyāpār karatā huā, aur kisī kāraṇase grāhyakā
tyāg ho jānepar aur tyājyakā grahaṇ ho jānepar usake pratividhānakā abhiprāy karatā huā, jis
kāl aur jitane kāl tak vishiṣhṭa bhāvanāsauṣhṭhavake kāraṇ svabhāvabhūt samyagdarshan–gnān–chāritrake
sāth aṅg–aṅgībhāvase pariṇati dvārā
2. pratividhān = pratikār karanekī vidhi; pratikārakā upāy; ilāja.
3. vishiṣhṭa bhāvanāsauṣhṭhav = visheṣh achchhī bhāvanā [arthāt vishiṣhṭashuddha bhāvanā]; vishiṣhṭa prakārakī uttam bhāvanā.

sādhak [arthāt nishchayamokṣhamārgakā vyavahār–sādhan] aisā jo bhedaratnatrayātmak vyavahāramokṣhamārga use
jīv kathañchit [–kisī prakār, nij udyamase] apane samvedanamen ānevālī avidyākī vāsanāke vilay
dvārā prāpta hotā huā, jab guṇasthānarūp sopānake kramānusār nijashuddhātmadravyakī bhāvanāse utpanna

punashcha, ‘nishchayamokṣhamārga aur vyavahāramokṣhamārgako sādhya–sādhanapanā atyanta ghaṭit hotā hai’ aisā jo
kahā gayā hai vah vyavahāranay dvārā kiyā gayā upacharit nirūpaṇ hai. usamense aisā artha nikālanā chāhiye ki
‘chhaṭhaven guṇasthānamen vartanevāle shubh vikalpoṅko nahīn kintu chhaṭhaven guṇasthānamen vartanevāle shuddhike anshakoe aur
sātaven guṇasthānayogya nishchayamokṣhamārgako vāstavamen sādhan–sādhyapanā hai.’ chhaṭhaven guṇasthānamen vartanevāle shuddhikā
ansh barḥakar jab aur jitane kāl tak ugra shuddhike kāraṇ shubh vikalpoṅkā abhāv vartatā hai tab aur utane
kāl tak sātaven guṇasthānayogya nishchayamokṣhamārga hotā hai.

atashchāritragnānadarshanarūpatvājjīvasvabhāvaniyatacharitatvalakṣhaṇan nishchayamokṣhamārgatvamātmano
nitarāmupapannamiti.. 162..
jeṇ vijāṇadi savvan pechchhadi so teṇ sokkhamaṇuhavadi.
idi tan jāṇadi bhavio abhaviyasatto ṇa saddahadi.. 163..
sarvasyātmanaḥ sansāriṇo mokṣhamārgārhatvanirāso‘yam.

[arthāt ātmā hī chāritra–gnān–darshan honeke kāraṇ ātmā hī gnānadarshanarūp jīvasvabhāvamen drarḥarūpase

tatastaddhetukasyānākulatvalakṣhaṇasya paramārthasukhasya mokṣhe‘nubhūtirachalitā‘sti. ityetadbhavya ev
bhāvato vijānāti, tataḥ sa ev mokṣhamārgārhaḥ. naitadabhavyaḥ shraddhatte, tataḥ sa mokṣhamārgānarha eveti. ataḥ
katipaye ev sansāriṇo mokṣhamārgārhā na sarva eveti.. 163..

vāstavamen saukhyakā kāraṇ svabhāvakī pratikūlatākā abhāv hai. ātmākā ‘svabhāv’ vāstavamen
drashi–gnapti [darshan aur gnān] hai. un donoṅko viṣhayapratibandha honā so ‘pratikūlatā’ hai. mokṣhamen
vāstavamen ātmā sarvako jānatā aur dekhatā honese usakā abhāv hotā hai [arthāt mokṣhamen svabhāvakī
pratikūlatākā abhāv hotā hai]. isaliye usakā abhāv jisakā kāraṇ hai aise
anākulatālakṣhaṇavāle paramārtha–sukhakī mokṣhamen achalit anubhūti hotī hai. –is prakār bhavya jīv hī
bhāvase jānatā hai, isaliye vahī mokṣhamārgake yogya hai; abhavya jīv is prakār shraddhā nahīn karatā,
isaliye vah mokṣhamārgake ayogya hī hai.

1 niḥsaṅg = ātmatattvase viparīt aisā jo bāhya–abhyantar parigrahaṇ usase rahit pariṇati so niḥsaṅgatā hai.

2. rāgādi–upādhirahit chaitanyaprakāsh jisakā lakṣhaṇ hai aise ātmatattvase viparīt mohoday jisakī utpattimen
nimittabhūt hotā hai aise mamakār–ahaṅkārādirūp vikalpasamūhase rahit nirmohapariṇati so nirmamatā hai.
3. svasamayapravr̥uttikī prasiddhivālā = jise svasamayamen pravr̥utti prasiddha huī hai aisā. [jo jīv rāgādipariṇatikā
sampūrṇa nāsh karake niḥsaṅg aur nirmam huā hai us paramārtha–siddhabhaktivant jīvake svasamayamen pravr̥utti siddha kī
hai isalie svasamayapravr̥uttike kāraṇ vahī jīv karmabandhakā kṣhay karake mokṣhako prāpta karatā hai, anya nahī̃n.]

anvayārthaḥ– [sanyamatapaḥsamprayuktasya] sanyamatapasanyukta hone par bhī, [sapadārtha tīrthakaram] nav
padārthon tathā tīrthaṅkarake prati [abhigatabuddheḥ] jisakī buddhikā jhukāv vartatā hai aur [sūtrarochinaḥ]
sūtroṅke prati jise ruchi [prīti] vartatī hai, us jīvako [nirvāṇan] nirvāṇ [dūrataram] dūratar
[visheṣh dūr] hai.
ṭīkāḥ– yahān̐, arhantādikī bhaktirūp parasamayapravr̥uttimen sākṣhāt mokṣhahetupanekā abhāv hone par bhī
paramparāse mokṣhahetupanekā sadbhāv darshāyā hai. 1

1. vāstavamen to aisā hai ki –gnānīko shuddhāshuddharūp mishra paryāyamen jo bhakti–ādirūp shubh ansh vartatā hai vah
to mātra devalokādike kleshakī paramparākā hī hetu hai aur sāth hī sāth gnānīko jo [mandashuddhirūp] shuddha
ansh pariṇamit hotā hai vah samvaranirjarākā tathā [utane anshamen] mokṣhakā hetu hai. vāstavamen aisā hone par bhī,
shuddha anshamen sthit samvar–nirjarā–mokṣhahetutvakā ārop usake sāthake bhakti–ādirūp shubh anshamen karake un
shubh bhāvoṅko devalokādike kleshakī prāptikī paramparā sahit mokṣhaprāptike hetubhūt kahā gayā hai. yah kathan
āropase [upachārase] kiyā gayā hai aisā samajhanā. [aisā kathañchit mokṣhahetutvakā ārop bhī gnānīko hī
vartanevāle bhakti–ādirūp shubh bhāvommen kiyā jā sakatā hai. agnānīke to shuddhikā anshamātra bhī pariṇamanamen nahīn
honese yathārtha mokṣhahetu bilakul pragaṭ hī nahīn huā hai–vidyamān hī nahīnn hai to phir vahān̐ usake bhakti–
ādirūp shubh bhāvommen ārop kisakā kiyā jāy?]
sanyam tathā tapayuktane paṇ dūratar nirvāṇ chhe,
sūtro, padārtho, jinavaro prati chittamān ruchi jo rahe. 170.

kiyā hone par bhī paramavairāgyabhūmikākā ārohaṇ karanemen samartha aisī prabhushakti utpanna nahīn kī
honese, ‘dhunakī ko chipakī huī rūī’ke nyāyase, nav padārthon tathā arhantādikī ruchirūp [prītirūp]
parasamayapravr̥uttikā parityāg nahīn kar sakatā, vah jīv vāstavamen sākṣhāt mokṣhako prāpta nahīn karatā
kintu devalokādike kleshakī prāptirūp paramparā dvārā use prāpta karatā hai.. 170..

aisī prabhushakti utpanna nahīn kī vah gnānī jīv kadāchit shuddhātmabhāvanāko anukūl, jīvādipadārthoṅkā
pratipādan karanevāle āgamoṅke prati ruchi [prīti] karatā hai, kadāchit [jis prakār koī rāmachandrādi puruṣh
deshāntarasthit sītādi strī ke pāsase āe hue manuṣhyoṅko premase sunatā hai, unakā sanmānādi karatā hai aur
unhen dān detā hai usī prakār] nirdoṣh–paramātmā tīrthaṅkaraparamadevoṅke aur gaṇadharadev–bharat–sagar–rām–
pāṇḍavādi mahāpuruṣhoṅke charitrapurāṇ shubh dharmānurāgase sunatā hai tathā kadāchit gr̥uhastha–avasthāmen
bhedābhedaratnatrayapariṇat āchārya–upādhyāy–sādhunake pūjanādi karatā hai aur unhen dān detā hai –ityādi shubh
bhāv karatā hai. is prakār jo gnānī jīv shubh rāgako sarvathā nahīn chhoṛ sakatā, vah sākṣhāt mokṣhako prāpta
nahīn karatā parantu devalokādike kleshakī paramparāko pākar phir charam dehase nirvikalpasamādhividhān dvārā
vishuddhadarshanagnānasvabhāvavāle nijashuddhātmāmen sthir hokar use [mokṣhako] prāpta karatā hai.]

arharntādikī pratimā] aur pravachanake [–shāstra] prati bhaktiyukta vartatā huā, [pareṇ niyamen] param
sanyam sahit [tapaḥkarma] tapakarma [–taparūp kārya] [karoti] karatā hai, [saḥ] vah [suralokan]
devalokako [samādatte] samprāpta karatā hai.
ṭīkāḥ– yah, mātra arhantādikī bhakti jitane rāgase utpanna honevālā jo sākṣhāt mokṣhakā
antarāy usakā prakāshan hai.
jo [jīv] vāstavamen arhantādikī bhaktike ādhīn buddhivālā vartatā huā paramasanyamapradhān
atitīvra tap tapatā hai, vah [jīv], mātra utane rāgarūp kleshase jisakā nij antaḥkaraṇ kalaṅkit
[–malin] hai aisā vartatā huā, viṣhayaviṣhavr̥ukṣhake
2āmodase jahān̐ antaraṅg [–antaḥkaraṇ] mohit
hotā hai aise svargalokako– jo ki sākṣhāt mokṣhako antarāyabhūt hai use–samprāpta karake, suchirakāl

mahājanaḥ samastaviṣhayamapi rāgamutsr̥ujyātyantavītarāgo bhūtvā samuchchhalajjvaladduḥkhasaukhyakallolan
karmāgnitaptakalakalodabhāraprāgbhārabhayaṅkaran bhavasāgaramuttīrya, shuddhasvarūpaparamāmr̥utasamudramadhyāsya sadyo
nirvāti..
sākṣhātmokṣhamārgamen agrasar sachamuch vītarāgatā hai. isalie vāstavamen 1arhantādigat rāgako bhī,
chandanavr̥ukṣhasaṅgat agnikī bhān̐ti, devalokādike kleshakī prāpti dvārā atyanta antardāhakā kāraṇ
samajhakar, sākṣhāt mokṣhakā abhilāṣhī mahājan sabhī kī orase rāgako chhoṛakar, atyanta vītarāg
hokar, jisamen ubalatī huī duḥkhasukhakī kallolen ūchhalatī hai aur jo karmāgni dvārā tapta, khalabalāte
jalasamūhakī atishayatāse bhayaṅkar hai aise bhavasāgarako pār utarakar, shuddhasvarūp paramāmr̥utasamudrako
avagāhakar, shīghra nirvāṇako prāpta karatā hai.
alan vistareṇa. svasti sākṣhānmokṣhamārgasāratven shāstratātparyabhūtāy vītarāg tvāyeti.

anvayārthaḥ– [tasmāt] isalie [nirvr̥uttikāmaḥ] mokṣhābhilāṣhī jīv [sarvatra] sarvatra [kiñchit
rāgan] kiñchit bhī rāg [mā karotu] na karo; [ten] aisā karanese [saḥ bhavyaḥ] vah bhavya jīv
[vītarāgaḥ] vītarāg hokar [bhavasāgaran tarati] bhavasāgarako taratā hai.
ṭīkāḥ– yah, sākṣhātmokṣhamārgake sār–sūchan dvārā shāstratātparyarūp upasanhār hai [arthāt yahān̐
sākṣhātmokṣhamārgakā sār kyā hai usake kathan dvārā shāstrakā tātparya kahanerūp upasanhār kiyā hai].
–vistārase bas ho. jayavanta varte vītarāgatā jo ki sākṣhātmokṣhamārgakā sār honese
shāstratātparyabhūt hai.
