
sumacchedaḥ, uttarabhāvaprādurbhāvaśca samutpādaḥ, pūrvotarabhāvocchedotpādayorapi svajāteraparityāgo dhrauvyam.
tāni sāmānyādeśād–bhinnāni viśeṣādeśādbhinnāni yugapadbhāvīni svabhāvabhūtāni dravyasya lakṣaṇaṁ
bhavantīti. guṇaparyāyā vā dravyalakṣaṇam. anekāntātmakasya vastuno‘nvayino viśeṣā guṇā vyatirekiṇaḥ
paryāyāste dravye yaugapadyen krameṇ ca pravartamānāḥ kathañcidbhinnāḥ kathañcidabhinnāḥ svabhāvabhūtāḥ
dravyalakṣaṇatāmā–
‘sattā lakṣaṇ hai aur dravya lakṣya hai’ – aisā vibhāg kisaprakār ghaṭit hotā hai? uttaraḥ––
anekāntātmak dravyake ananta svarūp haieṁ, unameṁse sattā bhī usakā ek svarūp hai; isaliye
anantasvarūpavālā dravya lakṣya hai aur usakā sattā nāmakā svarūp lakṣaṇ hai – aisā lakṣyalakṣaṇavibhāg
avaśya ghaṭit hotā hai. isaprakār abādhitarūpase sat dravyakā lakṣaṇ hai.]
athavā, utpādavyayadhrauvya dravyakā lakṣaṇ hai.
arthāt vartamān bhāvakī utpatti] so utpād hai aur pūrva–uttar bhāvoṁke vyay–utpād hone par bhī
svajātikā atyāg so dhrauvya hai. ve utpād–vyay–dhrauvya –– jo–ki sāmānya ādeśase abhinna haiṁ
[arthāt sāmānya kathanase dravyase abhinna haiṁ], viśeṣ ādeśase [dravyase] bhinna haiṁ, yugapad vartate haieṁ
aur svabhāvabhūt haiṁ ve – dravyakā lakṣaṇ haiṁ.
kramaśaḥ pravartate haiṁ, [dravyase] kathaṁcit bhinna aur kathaṁcit abhinna haiṁ tathā svabhāvabhūt haiṁ ve – dravyakā
lakṣaṇ haiṁ.
