saptabhaṅgī satat samyaktayā uchchārit karane par 1syātkārarūpī amogh mantra padake dvārā
2‘ev’ kāramen rahanevāle samasta virodhaviṣhake mohako dūr karatī hai ..115..
ab, jisakā nirdhār karanā hai, isaliye jise udāharaṇarūp banāyā gayā hai aise
jīvakī manuṣhyādi paryāyen kriyākā phal hain isaliye unakā anyatva (arthāt ve paryāyen
badalatī rahatī hain, isaprakār) prakāshit karate hain :
1. syādvādamen anekāntakā sūchak ‘syāt’ shabda samyaktayā prayukta hotā hai . vah ‘syāt pad ekāntavādamen
rahanevāle samasta virodharūpī viṣhake bhramako naṣhṭa karaneke liye rāmabāṇ mantra hai .
2. anekāntātmak vastusvabhāvakī apekṣhāse rahit ekāntavādamen mithyā ekāntako sūchit karatā huā jo
‘ev’ yā ‘hī’ shabda prayukta hotā hai vah vastusvabhāvase viparīt nirūpaṇ karatā hai, isaliye usakā yahān̐
niṣhedh kiyā hai
. (anekāntātmak vastusvabhāvakā dhyān chūke binā, jis apekṣhāse vastukā kathan chal
rahā ho us apekṣhāse usakā nirṇītattvaniyamabaddhatvanirapavādatva batalāneke liye ‘ev’ yā ‘hī’
shabda prayukta hotā hai, usakā yahān̐ niṣhedh nahīn samajhanā chāhiye .)
nathī ‘ā ja’ evo koī, jyān kiriyā svabhāvnipanna chhe;
kiriyā nathī pha lahīn, jo niṣhpha ḷa dharam utkr̥uṣhṭa chhe . 116.

vivartanasya kriyā kil svabhāvanirvr̥uttaivāsti . tatastasya manuṣhyādiparyāyeṣhu na kashchanāpyeṣh eveti
ṭaṅkotkīrṇo‘sti, teṣhān pūrvapūrvopamardapravr̥uttakriyāphalatvenottarottaropamardyamānatvāt; phal-
pr̥uthaktvalakṣhaṇasyātadbhāvābhidhānānyatvalakṣhaṇasya cha kathanarūpeṇ dvitīyā, sañgnālakṣhaṇaprayojanādibhedarūp-
syātadbhāvasya vivaraṇarūpeṇ tr̥utīyā, tasyaiv dr̥uḍhīkaraṇārthan chaturthīti gāthāchatuṣhṭayen sattādravyayor-

bhedaviṣhaye yuktikathanamukhyatā
. tadanantaran sattādravyayorguṇaguṇikathanen prathamā, guṇaparyāyāṇān dravyeṇ
sahābhedakathanen dvitīyā cheti svatantragāthādvayam . tadanantaran dravyasya sadutpādāsadutpādayoḥ
sāmānyavyākhyānen visheṣhavyākhyānen cha gāthāchatuṣhṭayan, tatashcha saptabhaṅgīkathanen gāthaikā cheti samudāyen
anvayārtha :[eṣhaḥ iti kashchit nāsti ] (manuṣhyādiparyāyommen) ‘yahī’ aisī koī
(shāshvat paryāy) nahīn hain; [svabhāvanirvr̥uttā kriyā nāsti na ] (kyoṅki sansārī jīvake)
svabhāvaniṣhpanna kriyā nahīn ho so bāt nahīn hai; (arthāt vibhāvasvabhāvase utpanna honevālī rāg-

ṭīkā :yahān̐ (is vishvamen), anādikarmapudgalakī upādhike sadbhāvake āshray
(-kāraṇ) se jisake pratikṣhaṇ 1vivarttan hotā rahatā hai aise sansārī jīvako kriyā vāstavamen
svabhāv niṣhpanna hī hai; isaliye usake manuṣhyādiparyāyommense koī bhī paryāy ‘yahī’ hai aisī
ṭaṅkotkīrṇa nahīn hai; kyoṅki ve paryāyen pūrva -pūrva paryāyoṅke nāshamen pravartamān kriyā phalarūp honese
2uttar -uttar paryāyoṅke dvārā naṣhṭa hotī hain . aur kriyākā phal to, mohake sāth 3milanakā nāsh
1. vivartan = vipariṇaman; palaṭā (phe raphār) hote rahanā .
2. uttar -uttar = bādakī . (manuṣhyādiparyāyen rāgadveṣhamay kriyākī phalarūp hain, isaliye koī bhī paryāy pūrva
paryāyako naṣhṭa karatī hai aur bādakī paryāyase svayam naṣhṭa hotī hai .

paramaḥ nīrāgaparamātmopalambhapariṇatirūpaḥ āgamabhāṣhayā paramayathākhyātachāritrarūpo vā yo‘sau paramo
dharmaḥ, sa kevalagnānādyanantachatuṣhṭayavyaktirūpasya kāryasamayasārasyotpādakatvātsaphalo‘pi naranārakādi-

paryāyakāraṇabhūtan gnānāvaraṇādikarmabandhan notpādayati, tataḥ kāraṇānniṣhphalaḥ
. tato gnāyate
naranārakādisansārakāryan mithyātvarāgādikriyāyāḥ phalamiti . athavāsya sūtrasya dvitīyavyākhyānan
kriyateyathā shuddhanayen rāgādivibhāven na pariṇamatyayan jīvastathaivāshuddhanayenāpi na pariṇamatīti
yaduktan sāṅkhyen tannirākr̥utam . kathamiti chet . ashuddhanayen mithyātvarāgādivibhāvapariṇat-
jīvānān naranārakādiparyāyapariṇatidarshanāditi . evan prathamasthale sūtragāthā gatā ..116.. ath
manuṣhyādikāryakī niṣhpādak honese saphal hī hai; aur, jaise dūsare aṇuke sāth sambandh jisakā
naṣhṭa ho gayā hai aise aṇukī pariṇati dviaṇuk kāryakī niṣhpādak nahīn hai usīprakār, mohake
sāth milanakā nāsh hone par vahī kriyā
dravyakī paramasvabhāvabhūt honese ‘paramadharma’ nāmase
kahī jānevālī aisīmanuṣhyādikāryakī niṣhpādak na honese aphal hī hai .
bhāvārtha :chaitanyapariṇati vah ātmākī kriyā hai . moh rahit kriyā manuṣhyādi-
paryāyarūp phal utpanna nahīn karatī, aur moh sahit 1kriyā avashya manuṣhyādiparyāyarūp phal
utpanna karatī hai . moh sahit bhāv ek prakārake nahīn hote, isaliye usake phalarūp
manuṣhyādiparyāyen bhī ṭaṅkotkīrṇashāshvatekarūp nahīn hotīn .. 116..
ab, yah vyakta karate hain ki manuṣhyādiparyāyen jīvako kriyāke phal hain :
1. mūl gāthāmen prayukta ‘kriyā’ shabdase moh sahit kriyā samajhanī chāhiye . moh rahit kriyāko to ‘param
dharma’ nām diyā gayā hai .
nāmākhya karma svabhāvathī nij jīvadravya -svabhāvane
abhibhūt karī tiryañch, dev, manuṣhya vā nārak kare. 117.

kartr̥u . kimvishiṣhṭam . ṇāmasamakkhan nirnāmanirgotramuktātmano viparītan nāmeti samyagākhyā sañgnā yasya
tadbhavati nāmasamākhyan nāmakarmetyarthaḥ . sabhāvan shuddhabuddhaikaparamātmasvabhāvan ah ath appaṇo sahāveṇ
ātmīyen gnānāvaraṇādisvakīyasvabhāven karaṇabhūten abhibhūy tiraskr̥utya prachchhādya tan
pūrvoktamātmasvabhāvam . pashchātkin karoti . ṇaran tiriyan ṇeraiyan vā suran kuṇadi naratiryagnārak-
surarūpan karotīti . ayamatrārthaḥyathāgniḥ kartā tailasvabhāvan karmatāpannamabhibhūy tiraskr̥utya
anvayārtha :[ath ] vahān̐ [nāmasamākhyan karma ] ‘nām’ sañgnāvālā karma

nimittase pariṇaman ko prāpta hotā huā (-dravyakarmarūpase pariṇaman karatā huā) pudgal bhī
karma hai
. us (pudgalakarma) kī kāryabhūt manuṣhyādiparyāyen mūlakāraṇabhūt aisī jīvakī kriyāse
pravartamān honese kriyāphal hī hain; kyoṅki kriyāke abhāvamen pudgaloṅko karmapanekā abhāv
honese us (-pudgalakarma) kī kāryabhūt manuṣhyādiparyāyoṅkā abhāv hotā hai

vahān̐, ve manuṣhyādiparyāyen karmake kārya kaise hain ? (so kahate hain ki) ve
karmasvabhāvake dvārā jīvake svabhāvakā parābhav karake kī jātī hain, isaliye dīpakakī bhān̐ti .

bhāvārtha :manuṣhyādiparyāyommen karma kahīn jīvake svabhāvako na to hanatā hai aur na

karmasanyukta pariṇāmako (-dravyakarmake sanyogase honevāle ashuddha pariṇāmako) [labhate ] prāpta
karatā hai
. [tataḥ ] usase [karma shliṣhyati ] karma chipak jātā hai (-dravyakarmakā bandh hotā hai );
[tasmāt tu ] isaliye [pariṇāmaḥ karma ] pariṇām vah karma hai ..121..
ṭīkā :‘sansār’ nāmak jo yah ātmākā tathāvidh (-usaprakārakā) pariṇām hai
vahī dravyakarmake chipakanekā hetu hai . ab, us prakārake pariṇāmakā hetu kaun hai ? (isake
uttaramen kahate hain kiḥ) dravyakarma usakā hetu hai, kyoṅki 1dravyakarmakī sanyuktatāse hī vah dekhā
jātā hai .
(shaṅkā :) aisā honese 2itaretarāshrayadoṣh āyagā ! (samādhān :) nahīn āyagā;
kyoṅki anādisiddha dravyakarmake sāth sambaddha aise ātmākā jo pūrvakā 3dravyakarma hai usakā
vahān̐ heturūpase grahaṇ (-svīkār) kiyā gayā hai .
1. dravyakarmake sanyogase hī ashuddha pariṇām hote hain, dravyakarmake binā ve kabhī nahīn hote; isaliye dravyakarma
ashuddha pariṇāmakā kāraṇ hai .
2. ek asiddha bātako siddha karaneke liye dūsarī asiddha bātakā āshray liyā jāy, aur phi ra us dūsarī
bātako siddha karaneke liye pahalīkā āshray liyā jāy,so is tarka -doṣhako itaretarāshrayadoṣh kahā jātā
hai .
dravyakarmakā kāraṇ ashuddha pariṇām kahā hai; phi ra us ashuddha pariṇāmake kāraṇake sambaddhamen pūchhe jāne
par usakā kāraṇ punaḥ dravyakarma kahā hai, isaliye shaṅkākārako shaṅkā hotī hai ki is bātamen itaretarāshray
doṣh ātā hai

3. navīn dravyakarmakā kāraṇ ashuddha ātmapariṇām hai, aur us ashuddha ātmapariṇāmakā kāraṇ vahakā vahī
(navīn) dravyakarma nahīn kintu pahalekā (purānā) dravyakarma hai; isaliye isamen itaretarāshray doṣh nahīn ātā .

pariṇāmake svarūpakā karttā honese pariṇāmase ananya hai; aur jo usakā (-ātmākā)
tathāvidh pariṇām hai vah jīvamayī hī kriyā hai, kyoṅki sarva dravyoṅkī pariṇāmalakṣhaṇakriyā
ātmamayatā (nijamayatā) se svīkār kī gaī hai; aur phi ra, jo (jīvamayī) kriyā hai vah
ātmāke dvārā svatantratayā
1prāpya honese karma hai . isaliye paramārthataḥ ātmā apane
pariṇāmasvarūp bhāvakarmakā hī karttā hai; kintu pudgalapariṇāmasvarūp dravyakarmakā nahīn .
ab yahān̐ aisā prashna hotā hai ki ‘(jīv bhāvakarmakā hī karttā hai tab phi ra)
dravyakarmakā karttā kaun hai ?’ isakā uttar isaprakār hai :pratham to pudgalakā pariṇām
vāstavamen svayam pudgal hī hai, kyoṅki pariṇāmī pariṇāmake svarūpakā karttā honese pariṇāmase
ananya hai; aur jo usakā (-pudgalakā) tathāvidhi pariṇām hai vah pudgalamayī hī kriyā
hai, kyoṅki sarva dravyoṅkī pariṇāmasvarūp kriyā nijamay hotī hai, aisā svīkār kiyā gayā
hai; aur phi ra, jo (pudgalamayī) kriyā hai vah pudgalake dvārā svatantratayā prāpya honese karma
hai
. isaliye paramārthataḥ pudgal apane pariṇāmasvarūp us dravyakarmakā hī karttā hai, kintu

svakīyapariṇāmānāmev kartā, jīvapariṇāmānān vyavahāreṇeti ..122.. evan rāgādipariṇāmāḥ karmabandha-
kāraṇan, teṣhāmev kartā jīv itikathanamukhyatayā gāthādvayen tr̥utīyasthalan gatam . ath yen pariṇāmenātmā
pariṇamati tan pariṇāman kathayatipariṇamadi chedaṇāe ādā pariṇamati chetanayā karaṇabhūtayā . sa kaḥ .
ātmā . yaḥ ko‘pyātmanaḥ shuddhāshuddhapariṇāmaḥ sa sarvo‘pi chetanān na tyajati ityabhiprāyaḥ . puṇ chedaṇā
tidhābhimadā sā sā chetanā punastridhābhimatā . kutra kutra . ṇāṇe gnānaviṣhaye kamme karmaviṣhaye phalammi
ātmāke pariṇāmasvarūp bhāvakarmakā nahīn .

ab, yah kahate hain ki vah kaunasā svarūp hai jisarūp ātmā pariṇamit hotā hai ? :

aisā tātparya hai . aur chetanā gnānarūp, karmarūp aur karmaphalarūpase tīn prakārakī hai . usamen
gnānapariṇati (gnānarūpase pariṇati) vah gnānachetanā, karma pariṇati vah karmachetanā aur
karmaphalapariṇati vah karmaphalachetanā hai

jo ātmāke dvārā kiyā jātā hai vah karma hai . pratikṣhaṇ us -us bhāvase hotā huā
ātmāke dvārā vāstavamen kiyā jānevālā jo usakā bhāv hai vahī, ātmāke dvārā 3prāpya honese
karma hai . aur vah (karma) ek prakārakā hone par bhī, dravyakarmarūp upādhikī nikaṭatāke
sadbhāv aur asadbhāvake kāraṇ anek prakārakā hai .
us karmase utpanna kiyā jānevālā sukh -duḥkh vah karmaphal hai . vahān̐, dravyakarmarūp
upādhikī nikaṭatāke asadbhāvake kāraṇ jo karma hotā hai, usakā phal anākulatvalakṣhaṇ
4prakr̥itibhūt sukh hai; aur dravyakarmarūp upādhikī nikaṭatāke sadbhāvake kāraṇ jo karma hotā
hai, usakā phal 5vikr̥uti(vikār) bhūt duḥkh hai, kyoṅki vahān̐ sukhake lakṣhaṇakā abhāv hai .
is prakār gnān, karma aur karmaphalakā svarūp nishchit huā .
1. vishva = samasta padārthadravya -guṇ -paryāy . (padārthommen sva aur par aise do vibhāg hain . jo jānanevāle
ātmākā apanā ho vah sva hai, aur dūsarā sab, par hai .)
2. avabhāsan = avabhāsan; prakāshan; gnāt honā; pragaṭ honā .
3. ātmā apane bhāvako prāpta karatā hai, isaliye vah bhāv hī ātmākā karma hai .
4. prakr̥itibhūt = svabhāvabhūt . (sukh svabhāvabhūt hai .)
5. vikr̥utibhūt = vikārabhūt (duḥkh vikārabhūt hai, svabhāvabhūt nahīn hai .)

jīvake dvārā kiyā jānevālā bhāv vah (jīvakā) karma hai . usake mukhya do bhed hain :
(1) nirupādhik (svābhāvik) shuddhabhāvarūp karma, aur (2) aupādhik shubhāshubhabhāvarūp
karma

is karmake dvārā utpanna honevālā sukh athavā duḥkh karmaphal hai . vahān̐, dravyakarmarūp
upādhimen yukta na honese jo nirupādhik shuddhabhāvarūp karma hotā hai, usakā phal to anākulatā
jisakā lakṣhaṇ hai aisā svabhāvabhūt sukh hai; aur dravyakarmarūp upādhimen yukta honese jo
aupādhik shubhāshubhabhāvarūp karma hotā hai, usakā phal vikārabhūt duḥkh hai, kyoṅki usamen
anākulatā nahīn, kintu ākulatā hai

trividhachetanāpariṇāmen pariṇāmī sannātmā kin karoti . nishchayaratnatrayātmakashuddhapariṇāmen mokṣhan

ab, isaprakār 2gneyapaneko prāpta ātmākī shuddhatāke nishchayase gnānatattvakī siddhi hone
par shuddha ātmatattvakī upalabdhi (-anubhav, prāpti) hotī hai; isaprakār usakā abhinandan karate
hue (arthāt ātmākī shuddhatāke nirṇayakī prashansā karate hue
dhanyavād dete hue),
dravyasāmānyake varṇanakā upasanhār karate hain :
1. pralīn ho jānā = atyant līn ho jānā; magna ho jānā; ḍūb jānā; adr̥ushya ho jānā .
2. gneyapaneko prāpta = gneyabhūt . (ātmā gnānarūp bhī aur gneyarūp bhī hai, is gneyatattva -pragnāpan adhikāramen
yahān̐ dravya sāmānyakā nirūpaṇ kiyā jā rahā hai; usamen ātmā gneyabhūtarūpase samāviṣhṭa huā hai .)

anvayārtha :[yadi ] yadi [shramaṇaḥ ] shramaṇ [kartā karaṇan karma karmaphalan cha
ātmā ] ‘kartā, karaṇ, karma aur karmaphal ātmā hai’ [iti nishchitaḥ ] aisā nishchayavālā hotā
huā [anyat ] anyarūp [na ev pariṇamati ] pariṇamit hī nahīn ho, [shuddhan ātmānan ] to vah
shuddha ātmāko [labhate ] upalabdha karatā hai

ṭīkā :jo puruṣh isaprakār ‘kartā, karaṇ, karma aur karmaphal ātmā hī hai’ yah
nishchay 1karake vāstavamen paradravyarūp pariṇamit nahīn hotā, vahī puruṣh, jisakā paradravyake sāth
samparka ruk gayā hai aur jisakī paryāyen dravyake bhītar pralīn ho gaī hain aise shuddhātmāko upalabdha
karatā hai; parantu anya koī (puruṣh) aise shuddha ātmāko upalabdha nahīn karatā
.
isīko spaṣhṭatayā samajhāte hain :
1. ‘kartā karaṇ ityādi ātmā hī hai’ aisā nishchay hone par do bāten nishchit ho jātī hain . ek to yah ki
‘kartā, karaṇ ityādi ātmā hī hai, pudgalādi nahīn arthāt ātmākā paradravyake sāth sambandh nahīn hai’;
dūsarī
‘abhed dr̥uṣhṭimen kartā, karaṇ ityādi bhed nahīn hain, yah sab ek ātmā hī hai arthāt paryāyen dravyake
bhītar līn ho gaī hain .
‘kartā, karam, phaḷ, karaṇ jīv chhe’ em jo nishchay karī
muni anyarūp nav pariṇame, prāpti kare shuddhātmanī. 126.
