pradeshatvātsapradeshastāvadbhavati so appā sa pūrvoktalakṣhaṇ ātmā . punarapi kimvishiṣhṭaḥ . kasāyido
ṭīkā :jaise jagatamen vastra sapradesh honese lodh, phi ṭakarī ādise 1kaṣhāyit hotā
hai, jisase vah mañjīṭhādike raṅgase sambaddha hotā huā akelā hī raṅgā huā dekhā jātā hai,
isīprakār ātmā bhī sapradesh honese yathākāl mohrāgdveṣhake dvārā kaṣhāyit honese karmarajake

ṭīkā :rāgapariṇām hī ātmākā karma hai, vahī puṇyapāparūp dvait hai, ātmā
rāgapariṇāmakā hī kartā hai, usīkā grahaṇ karanevālā hai aur usīkā tyāg karanevālā hai;
yah, shuddhadravyakā nirūpaṇasvarūp nishchayanay hai . aur jo pudgalapariṇām ātmākā karma hai,
vahī puṇyapāparūp dvait hai, ātmā pudgalapariṇāmakā kartā hai, usakā grahaṇ karanevālā aur
chhoṛanevālā hai; aisā jo nay vah ashuddhadravyake nirūpaṇasvarūp vyavahāranay hai . yah donon
nishchayanay mātra svadravyake pariṇāmako batalātā hai, isaliye use shuddhadravyakā kathan karanevālā kahā hai,
aur vyavahāranay paradravyake pariṇāmako ātmapariṇām batalātā hai isaliye use ashuddhadravyakā kathan
karanevālā kahā hai
. yahān̐ shuddhadravyakā kathan ek dravyāshrit pariṇāmakī apekṣhāse jānanā chāhiye, aur
ashuddhadravyakā kathan ek dravyake pariṇām anya dravyamen āropit karanekī apekṣhāse jānanā chāhiye .

jadīṇan jitendriyatven shuddhātmasvarūpe yatnaparāṇān gaṇadharadevādiyatīnām . vavahāro dravyakarmarūpavyahārabandhaḥ
aṇṇahā bhaṇido nishchayanayāpekṣhayānyathā vyavahāranayeneti bhaṇitaḥ . kiñch rāgādīnevātmā karoti tānev
bhuṅkte cheti nishchayanayalakṣhaṇamidam . ayan tu nishchayanayo dravyakarmabandhapratipādakāsadbhūtavyavahār-
nayāpekṣhayā shuddhadravyanirūpaṇātmako vivakṣhitanishchayanayastathaivāshuddhanishchayashcha bhaṇyate . dravyakarmāṇyātmā
(nay) hain; kyoṅki shuddharūp aur ashuddharūpdonon prakārase dravyakī pratīti kī jātī hai .
kintu yahān̐ nishchayanay sādhakatam (utkr̥uṣhṭa sādhak) honese grahaṇ kiyā gayā hai; (kyoṅki)
sādhyake shuddha honese dravyake shuddhatvakā dyotak (prakāshak) honese nishchayanay hī sādhakatam hai,
kintu ashuddhatvakā dyotak vyavahāranay sādhakatam nahīn hai

ab aisā kahate hain ki ashuddhanayase ashuddha ātmākī hī prāpti hotī hai :
nishchayanay upādey hai aur vyavahāranay hey hai .
prashna :dravya sāmānyakā ālamban hī upādey hai, phi ra bhī yahān̐ rāgapariṇāmakī grahaṇtyāgarūp paryāyoṅko
svīkār karanevāle nishchayanayako upādey kyon kahā hai ?
uttar :‘rāgapariṇāmakā kartā bhī ātmā hī hai aur vītarāg pariṇāmakā bhī; agnānadashā bhī ātmā svatantratayā
karatā hai aur gnānadashā bhī’; aise yathārtha gnānake bhītar dravyasāmānyakā gnān garbhitarūpase samā hī jātā
hai . yadi visheṣhakā bhalībhān̐ti yathārtha gnān ho to yah visheṣhoṅko karanevālā sāmānyakā gnān honā hī
chāhiye . dravyasāmānyake gnānake binā paryāyoṅkā yathārtha gnān ho hī nahīn sakatā . isalie uparokta
nishchayanayamen dravyasāmānyakā gnān garbhitarūpase samā hī jātā hai . jo jīv bandhamārgarūp paryāyamen tathā
mokṣhamārgarūp paryāyamen ātmā akelā hī hai, isaprakār yathārthatayā (dravyasāmānyakī apekṣhā sahit) jānatā
hai, vah jīv paradravyase sanyukta nahīn hotā, aur dravyasāmānyake bhītar paryāyoṅko ḍubākar, suvishuddha hotā
hai
. isaprakār paryāyoṅke yathārtha gnānamen dravyasāmānyakā gnān apekṣhit honese aur dravyaparyāyoṅke yathārthagnānamen
dravyasāmānyakā ālambanarūp abhiprāy apekṣhit honese uparokta nishchayanayako upādey kahā hai . [visheṣh

paramparayā shuddhātmasādhakatvādayamashuddhanayo‘pyupachāreṇ shuddhanayo bhaṇyate, nishchayanayo bhaṇyate, tathaivopādeyo
bhaṇyate ityabhiprāyaḥ

(yah shuddhātmā ek hī) dhruvatvake kāraṇ upalabdha karane yogya hai . kisī pathikake sharīrake
aṅgoṅke sāth sansargamen ānevālī mārgake vr̥ukṣhoṅkī anek chhāyāke samān anya jo adhruv
(-anya jo adhruv padārtha) unase kyā prayojan hai ?
bhāvārtha :ātmā (1) gnānātmak, (2) darshanarūp, (3) indriyoṅke vinā hī
sabako jānanevālā mahā padārtha, (4) gneyparaparyāyoṅkā grahaṇtyāg na karanese achal aur
(5) gneyparadravyoṅkā ālamban na lenese nirālamba hai; isaliye vah ek hai .
isaprakār ek honese vah shuddha hai . aisā shuddhātmā dhruv honese, vahī ek upalabdha karane

ṭīkā :jisane mohamalakā kṣhay kiyā hai aise ātmāke, mohamal jisakā mūl hai
aisī 1paradravyapravr̥uttikā abhāv honese viṣhayaviraktatā hotī hai; (usase arthāt viṣhay virakta
honese), samudrake madhyagat jahājake pakṣhīkī bhān̐ti, adhikaraṇabhūt dravyāntaroṅkā abhāv honese
jise anya koī sharaṇ nahīn rahā hai aise manakā nirodh hotā hai . (arthāt jaise samudrake bīchamen
pahun̐che hue kisī ekākī jahāj par baiṭhe hue pakṣhīko us jahājake atirikta anya kisī
jahājakā, vr̥ukṣhakā yā bhūmi ityādikā ādhār na honese dūsarā koī sharaṇ nahīn hai, isaliye usakā
uṛanā banda ho jātā hai, usī prakār viṣhayaviraktatā honese manako ātmadravyake atirikta kinhīn
anyadravyoṅkā ādhār nahīn rahatā isaliye dūsarā koī sharaṇ na rahanese man nirodhako prāpta hotā
hai ); aur isaliye (arthāt manakā nirodh honese), man jisakā mūl hai aisī chañchalatākā vilay
honeke kāraṇ anantasahaj
chaitanyātmak svabhāvamen 2samavasthān hotā hai vah svabhāvasamavasthān
to svarūpamen pravartamān, anākul, ekāgra sañchetan honese use dhyān kahā jātā hai .

aur sandeh nahīn karate; tab phi ra (unake) abhilaṣhit, jignāsit aur sandigdha padārtha kahān̐se
ho sakatā hai ? aisā hai tab phi ra ve kyā dhyāte hain ?
bhāvārtha :lokake (jagatke sāmānya jīv samudāyake) mohakarmakā sadbhāv honese
vah tr̥uṣhṇā sahit hai, isaliye use iṣhṭa padārthakī abhilāṣhā hotī hai; aur usake gnānāvaraṇīy
karmakā sadbhāv honese vah bahutase padārthoṅko to jānatā hī nahīn hai tathā jis padārthako jānatā
hai use bhī pr̥uthakkaraṇ pūrvak
sūkṣhmatāsespaṣhṭatāse nahīn jānatā isaliye use agnāt
padārthako jānanekī ichchhā (jignāsā) hotī hai, aur aspaṣhṭatayā jāne hue padārthake sambandhamen sandeh

. aisā honese usake abhilaṣhit, jignāsit aur sandigdha padārthakā dhyān sambhavit hotā
hai . parantu sarvagna bhagavānake to mohakarmakā abhāv honese ve tr̥uṣhṇārahit hain, isaliye unake
abhilāṣhā nahīn hai; aur unake gnānāvaraṇīy karmakā abhāv honese ve samasta padārthoṅko jānate
hain tathā pratyek padārthako atyanta spaṣhṭatāpūrvak
paripūrṇatayā jānate hain isaliye unhen jignāsā
yā sandeh nahīn hai . isaprakār unhen kisī padārthake prati abhilāṣhā, jignāsā yā sandeh nahīn hotā;

‘sarvabādhā rahit’ tathā sakal ātmāmen sarvaprakārake (paripūrṇa) sukh aur gnānase paripūrṇa
honese ‘samasta ātmāmen sammat saukhya aur gnānase samr̥uddha’ hotā hai

sarva abhilāṣhā, jignāsā aur sandehakā asambhav hone par bhī apūrva aur anākulatvalakṣhaṇ
paramasaukhyakā dhyān karatā hai; arthāt anākulatvasaṅgat ek ‘agra’ke sañchetanamātrarūpase
avasthit rahatā hai, (arthāt anākulatāke sāth rahanevāle ek ātmārūpī viṣhayake
anubhavanarūp hī mātra sthit rahatā hai ) aur aisā avasthān sahajagnānānandasvabhāv siddhatvakī
siddhi hī hai (arthāt isaprakār sthit rahanā, sahajagnān aur ānanda jisakā svabhāv hai aise
siddhatvakī prāpti hī hai

athopasampadye sāmyamiti pūrvapratignān nirvahan mokṣhamārgabhūtān svayamapi shuddhātma-
pravr̥uttimāsūtrayati
tamhā tah jāṇittā appāṇan jāṇagan sabhāveṇ .
parivajjāmi mamattin uvaṭṭhido ṇimmamattamhi ..200..
tasmāttathā gnātvātmānan gnāyakan svabhāven .
parivarjayāmi mamatāmupasthito nirmamatve ..200..
1. bhāvya = ghyey; bhāvak = dhyātā; bhāvya -bhāvakake arthake liye dekho pr̥u0 6 men phu ṭanoṭ .
e rīt tethī ātmane gnāyak svabhāvī jāṇīne,
nirmamapaṇe rahī sthit ā parivarjun chhun hun mamatvane. 200

jātāḥ . maggan samuṭṭhidā nijaparamātmatattvānubhūtilakṣhaṇamārgan mokṣhamārgan samutthitā āshritāḥ . ken . evan pūrvan
bahudhā vyākhyātakrameṇ . na kevalan jinā jinendrā anen mārgeṇ siddhā jātāḥ, samaṇā sukhaduḥkhādi-
samatābhāvanāpariṇatātmatattvalakṣhaṇāḥ sheṣhā acharamadehashramaṇāshcha . acharamadehānān kathan siddhatvamiti chet .
‘‘tavasiddhe ṇayasiddhe sañjamasiddhe charittasiddhe ya . ṇāṇammi dansaṇammi ya siddhe sirasā ṇamansāmi ..’’’’

iti gāthākathitakrameṇaikadeshen . ṇamotthu tesin namo‘stu tebhyaḥ . anantagnānādisiddhaguṇasmaraṇarūpo
bhāvanamaskāro‘stu, tassa ya ṇivvāṇamaggassa tasmai nirvikārasvasamvittilakṣhaṇanishchayaratnatrayātmak -
hon . isase nishchit hotā hai ki keval yah ek hī mokṣhakā mārga hai, dūsarā nahīn .adhik
vistārase bas ho ! us shuddhātmatattvamen pravarte hue siddhoṅko tathā us shuddhātmatattvapravr̥uttirūp
mokṣhamārgako, jisamense
1bhāvya aur bhāvakakā vibhāg asta ho gayā hai aisā
noāgamabhāvanamaskār ho ! mokṣhamārga avadhārit kiyā hai, kr̥utya kiyā jā rahā hai, (arthāt
mokṣhamārga nishchit kiyā hai aur usamen) pravartan kar rahe hain ..199..
ab, ‘sāmyako prāpta karatā hūn̐’ aisī (pān̐chavīn gāthāmen kī gaī) pūrvapratignākā nirvahaṇ
karate hue (āchāryadev) svayam bhī mokṣhamārgabhūt shuddhātmapravr̥utti karate hain :
anvayārtha :[tasmāt ] aisā honese (arthāt shuddhātmāmen pravr̥uttike dvārā hī mokṣha
hotā honese) [tathā ] isaprakār [ātmānan ] ātmāko [svabhāven gnāyakan ] svabhāvase gnāyak
[gnātvā ] jānakar [nirmamatve upasthitaḥ ] main nirmamatvamen sthit rahatā huā [mamatān
parivarjayāmi ]
mamatākā parityāg karatā hūn̐
