paramasāmāyikābhidhānen nishchayaikavraten mokṣhabījabhūten mokṣhe jāte sati sarve prakaṭā bhavanti . ten kāraṇen tadev sāmāyikan mūlaguṇavyaktikāraṇatvāt nishchayamūlaguṇo bhavati . yadā punarnirvikalpasamādhau samartho na bhavatyayan jīvastadā yathā ko‘pi suvarṇārthī puruṣhaḥ suvarṇamalabhamānastaparyāyānapi kuṇḍalādīn gr̥uhṇāti, na cha sarvathā tyāgan karoti; tathāyan jīvo‘pi nishchayamūlaguṇābhidhānaparamasamādhyabhāve chhedopasthānan chāritran gr̥uhṇāti . chhede satyupasthāpanan chhedopasthāpanam . athavā chheden vratabhedenopasthāpanan chhedopasthāpanam . tachcha saṅkṣhepeṇ pañchamahāvratarūpan bhavati . teṣhān vratānān cha rakṣhaṇārthan pashchasamityādibheden punaraṣhṭāvinshatimūlaguṇabhedā bhavanti . teṣhān cha mūlaguṇānān rakṣhaṇārthan dvāvinshatiparīṣhahajayadvādashavidh- tapashcharaṇabheden chatustrinshaduttaraguṇā bhavanti . teṣhān cha rakṣhaṇārthan devamanuṣhyatiryagachetanakr̥utachaturvidhopasarga- jayadvādashānuprekṣhābhāvanādayashchetyabhiprāyaḥ ..208.209.. evan mūlottarguṇakathanarūpeṇ dvitīyasthale honese shramaṇoṅke mūlaguṇ hī hain . jab (shramaṇ) nirvikalpa sāmāyikasanyamamen ārūrḥatāke kāraṇ jisamen vikalpoṅkā abhyās (sevan) nahīn hai aisī dashāmense chyut hotā hai, tab ‘kevalasuvarṇamātrake arthīko kuṇḍal, kaṅkaṇ, aṅgūṭhī ādiko grahaṇ karanā (bhī) shrey hai, kintu aisā nahīn hai ki (kuṇḍal ityādikā grahaṇ kabhī na karake) sarvathā svarṇakī hī prāpti karanā hī shrey hai’ aisā vichār karake mūlaguṇommen vikalparūpase (bhedarūpase) apaneko sthāpit karatā huā chhedopasthāpak hotā hai ..208209..

ab inake (shramaṇake) pravrajyādāyakakī bhān̐ti chhedopasthāpak par (dūsarā) bhī hotā hai aisā, āchāryake bhedoṅke pragnāpan dvārā upadesh karate hain :

je liṅgagrahaṇe sādhupad denār te guru jāṇavā;

yato liṅgagrahaṇakāle nirvikalpasāmāyikasanyamapratipādakatven yaḥ kilāchāryaḥ pravrajyādāyakaḥ sa guruḥ, yaḥ punaranantaran savikalpachchhedopasthāpanasanyamapratipādakatven chhedan pratyupasthāpakaḥ sa niryāpakaḥ, yo‘pi chhinnasanyamapratisandhānavidhānapratipādakatven chhede satyupasthāpakaḥ so‘pi niryāpak ev . tatashchhedopasthāpakaḥ paro‘pyasti ..210.. sūtradvayan gatam . athāsya tapodhanasya pravrajyādāyak ivānyo‘pi niryāpakasañgno gururasti iti guruvyavasthān nirūpayatiliṅgaggahaṇe tesin liṅgagrahaṇe teṣhān tapodhanānān guru tti hodi gururbhavatīti . sa kaḥ . pavvajjadāyago nirvikalpasamādhirūpaparamasāmāyikapratipādako yo‘sau pravrajyādāyakaḥ sa ev dīkṣhāguruḥ, chhedesu a vaṭṭagā chhedayoshcha vartakāḥ ye sesā ṇijjāvagā samaṇā te sheṣhāḥ shramaṇā niryāpakā bhavanti shikṣhāguravashcha bhavantīti . ayamatrārthaḥnirvikalpasamādhirūpasāmāyikasyaikadeshen chyutirekadeshachchhedaḥ,

anvayārtha :[liṅgagrahaṇe ] liṅgagrahaṇake samay [pravrajyādāyakaḥ bhavati ] jo pravrajyā (dīkṣhā) dāyak hain vah [teṣhān guruḥ iti ] unake guru hain aur [chhedayonḥ upasthāpakāḥ ] jo 1chhedadvayamen upasthāpak hain (arthāt (1)jo bhedommen sthāpit karate hain tathā (2)jo sanyamamen chhed hone par punaḥ sthāpit karate hain ) [sheṣhāḥ shramaṇāḥ ] ve sheṣh shramaṇ [niryāpakāḥ ] 2niryāpak hain ..210..

ab chhinnasanyamake pratisandhānakī vidhikā upadesh karate hain :

anvayārtha :[yadi ] yadi [shramaṇasya ] shramaṇake [prayatāyān ] 1prayatnapūrvak [samārabdhāyān ] kī jānevālī [kāyacheṣhṭāyān ] kāyacheṣhṭāmen [chhedaḥ jāyate ] chhed hotā 1. munike (munitvochit) shuddhopayog vah antaraṅg athavā nishchayaprayatna hai, aur us shuddhopayogadashāmen pravartamān

(haṭharahit) dehacheṣhṭādi sambandhī shubhopayog vah bahiraṅg athavā vyavahāraprayatna hai . [jahān̐ shuddhopayogadashā nahīn

dvividhaḥ kil sanyamasya chhedaḥ, bahiraṅgo‘ntaraṅgashcha . tatra kāyacheṣhṭāmātrādhikr̥uto bahiraṅgaḥ, upayogādhikr̥utaḥ punarantaraṅgaḥ . tatra yadi samyagupayuktasya shramaṇasya prayatnasamār- bdhāyāḥ kāyacheṣhṭāyāḥ kathañchidbahiraṅgachchhedo jāyate tadā tasya sarvathāntaraṅgachchhedavarjitatvādā- lochanapūrvikayā kriyayaiv pratīkāraḥ . yadā tu sa evopayogādhikr̥utachchhedatven sākṣhāchchhed evopayukto bhavati tadā jinoditavyavahāravidhividagdhashramaṇāshrayayālochanapūrvakatadupadiṣhṭānuṣhṭhānen pratisandhānam ..211.212.. sthānādiprārabdhāyām . tassa puṇo āloyaṇapuvviyā kiriyā tasya punarālochanapūrvikā kriyā . tadākāle tasya tapodhanasya svasthabhāvasya bahiraṅgasahakārikāraṇabhūtā pratikramaṇalakṣhaṇālochanapūrvikā punaḥ kriyaiv prāyashchittan pratikāro bhavati, na chādhikam . kasmāditi chet . abhyantare svasthabhāvachalanābhāvāditi prathamagāthā gatā . chhedapautto samaṇo chhede prayuktaḥ shramaṇo, nirvikārasvasamvittibhāvanāchyutilakṣhaṇachchheden yadi chet prayuktaḥ sahitaḥ shramaṇo bhavati . samaṇan vavahāriṇan jiṇamadamhi shramaṇan vyavahāriṇan jinamate, tadā jinamate vyavahāragnan prāyashchittakushalan shramaṇan āsejja āsādya prāpya, na kevalamāsādya ālochittā niḥprapañchabhāvenālochya doṣhanivedanan kr̥utvā . uvadiṭṭhan teṇ kāyavvan upadiṣhṭan ten kartavyam . ten prāyashchitta- parignānasahitāchāryeṇ nirvikārasvasamvittibhāvanānukūlan yadupadiṣhṭan prāyashchittan tatkartavyamiti sūtra- tātparyam ..211.212.. evan guruvyavasthākathanarūpeṇ prathamagāthā, tathaiv prāyashchittakathanārthan gāthādvay- hai to [tasya punaḥ ] use to [ālochanāpūrvikā kriyā ] 1ālochanāpūrvak kriyā karanā chāhiye .

[shramaṇaḥ chhedopayuktaḥ ] (kintu) yadi shramaṇ chhedamen upayukta huā ho to use [jinamat ] jainamatamen [vyavahāriṇan ] vyavahārakushal [shramaṇan āsādya ] shramaṇake pās jākar [ālochya ] 2ālochanā karake (apane doṣhakā nivedan karake), [ten upadiṣhṭan ] ve jaisā upadesh den vah [kartavyam ] karanā chāhiye ..211 -212..

ṭīkā :sanyamakā chhed do prakārakā hai; bahiraṅg aur antaraṅg . usamen mātra kāyacheṣhṭā sambandhī vah bahiraṅg hai aur upayog sambandhī vah antaraṅg hai . usamen, yadi bhalībhān̐ti uparyukta shramaṇake prayatnakr̥ut kāyacheṣhṭākā kathañchit bahiraṅg chhed hotā hai, to vah sarvathā antaraṅg chhedase rahit hai isaliye ālochanāpūrvak kriyāse hī usakā pratīkār (ilāj) hotā hai . kintu yadi vahī shramaṇ upayogasambandhī chhed honese sākṣhāt chhedamen hī upayukta hotā hai to jinokta vyavahāravidhimen kushal shramaṇake āshrayase, ālochanāpūrvak, unake dvārā upadiṣhṭa anuṣhṭhān dvārā (sanyamakā) pratisandhān hotā hai . 1. ālochanā = sūkṣhmatāse dekh lenā vah, sūkṣhmatāse vichāranā vah, ṭhīk dhyānamen lenā vah . 2. nivedan; kathan . bhāvārtha :yadi munike svasthabhāvalakṣhaṇ prayatna sahit kī jānevālī ashanshayan gamanādik shārīrik cheṣhṭāsambandhī chhed hotā hai to us tapodhanake svasthabhāvakī bahiraṅg sahakārīkāraṇabhūt pratikramaṇasvarūp ālochanāpūrvak kriyāse hī usakā pratīkārprāyashchitta ho jātā hai, kyoṅki vah svasthabhāvase chalit nahīn huā hai . kintu yadi usake nirvikār svasamvedanabhāvanāse chyutisvarūp chhed hotā hai, to use jinamatamen vyavahāragnaprāyashchittakushal āchāryake nikaṭ jākar, niṣhpaprañchabhāvase doṣhakā nivedan karake, ve āchārya nirvikār svasamvedanabhāvanāke anukūl jo kuchh bhī prāyashchitta upadeshen vah karanā chāhiye ..211212..

tathāhigurupārshve yāvanti shāstrāṇi tāvanti paṭhitvā tadanantaran gurun pr̥uṣhṭvā cha samashīlatapodhanaiḥ sah,
bhedābhedaratnatrayabhāvanayā bhavyānāmānandan janayan, tapaḥshrutasattvaikatvasantoṣhabhāvanāpañchakan bhāvayan,

ab, shrāmaṇyakī paripūrṇatākā āyatan honese svadravyamen hī pratibandh (sambandha līnatā) karane yogya hai, aisā upadesh karate hain :

anvayārtha :[yaḥ shramaṇaḥ ] jo shramaṇ [nityan ] sadā [gnāne darshanamukhe ] gnānamen aur darshanādimen [nibaddhaḥ ] pratibaddha [cha ] tathā [mūlaguṇeṣhu prayataḥ ] mūlaguṇommen prayat (prayatnashīl) [charati ] vicharaṇ karatā hai, [saḥ ] vah [paripūrṇashrāmaṇyaḥ ] paripūrṇa shrāmaṇyavān hai ..214.. 1. uparañjak = uparāg karanevāle, malinatāvikār karanevāle . 2. niruparāg = uparāgarahit; vikārarahit . 3. adhikr̥ut karake = sthāpit karake; rakhakar . 4. adhikr̥ut karake = adhikār dekar; sthāpit karake; aṅgīkr̥ut karake .

bhāvārtha :āgamaviruddha āhāravihārādi to munine pahale hī chhoṛ diye hain . ab sanyamake nimittapanekī buddhise munike jo āgamokta āhār, anashan, guphādimen nivās, vihār, dehamātra parigrah, anya muniyoṅkā parichay aur dhārmik charchāvārtā pāye jāte hain, unake prati bhī rāgādi karanā yogya nahīn hai,unake vikalponse bhī manako ran̐gane denā yogya nahīn hai; isaprakār āgamokta āhārvihārādimen bhī pratibandh prāpta karanā yogya nahīn hai, kyoṅki usase sanyamamen chhed hotā hai ..215..

ab chhed kyā hai, (arthāt chhed kise kahate hain ) usakā upadesh karate hain : 1. bodhya vah hai jise samajhāyā hai athavā jise upadesh diyā jātā hai . aur bodhak vah hai jo samajhātā

hai, arthāt jo upadesh detā hai . mātra anya shramaṇonse svayambodh grahaṇ karaneke liye athavā anya shramaṇoṅko

bhāvārtha :shuddhopayogakā hanan honā vah antaraṅg hinsāantaraṅg chhed hai, aur dūsareke prāṇoṅkā vichchhed honā bahiraṅg hinsābahiraṅg chhed hai .

jīv mare yā na mare, jisake aprayat ācharaṇ hai usake shuddhopayogakā hanan honese antaraṅg hinsā hotī hī hai aur isaliye antaraṅg chhed hotā hī hai . jisake prayat ācharaṇ hai usake, paraprāṇoṅke vyaparoparūp bahiraṅg hinsākebahiraṅg chhedakesadbhāvamen bhī, shuddhopayogakā hanan nahīn honese antaraṅg hinsā nahīn hotī aur isaliye antaraṅg chhed nahīn hotā ..217.. 1. ashuddhopayogake binā aprayat āchār kabhī nahīn hotā, isaliye jisake aprayat āchār vartatā hai usake

bhāvārtha :shāstrommen aprayatāchāravān ashuddhopayogīko chhah kāyakā hinsak kahā hai aur prayatāchāravān shuddhopayogako ahinsak kahā hai, isaliye shāstrommen jisjis prakārase chhah kāyakī hinsākā niṣhedh kiyā gayā ho, usus samasta prakārase ashuddhopayogakā niṣhedh samajhanā chāhiye ..218..

ab, upadhi (-parigrah) ko aikāntik antaraṅgchhedatva honese upadhi antaraṅg chhedakī bhān̐ti tyājya hai, aisā upadesh karate hain :

bhāvārtha :ashuddhopayogakā asadbhāv ho, tathāpi kāyakī halanachalanādi kriyā honese parajīvoṅke prāṇoṅkā ghāt ho jātā hai . isaliye kāyacheṣhṭāpūrvak paraprāṇoṅke ghātase bandh honekā niyam nahīn hai;ashuddhopayogake sadbhāvamen honevāle kāyacheṣhṭāpūrvak paraprāṇoṅke ghātase to bandh hotā hai, aur ashuddhopayogake asadbhāvamen honevāle kāyacheṣhṭāpūrvak paraprāṇoṅke ghātase bandh nahīn hotā; isaprakār kāyacheṣhṭāpūrvak honevāle paraprāṇoṅke ghātase bandhakā honā anaikāntik honese usake chhedapanā anaikāntik hainiyamarūp nahīn hai .

jaise bhāvake binā bhī paraprāṇoṅkā ghāt ho jātā hai, usīprakār bhāv na ho tathāpi parigrahakā grahaṇ ho jāy, aisā kabhī nahīn ho sakatā . jahān̐ parigrahakā grahaṇ hotā hai vahān̐ ashuddhopayogakā sadbhāv avashya hotā hī hai . isaliye parigrahase bandhakā honā aikāntik nishchitniyamarūp hai . isaliye parigrahake chhedapanā aikāntik hai . aisā honese hī param shramaṇ aise arhanta bhagavantonne pahalese hī sarva parigrahakā tyāg kiyā hai aur anya shramaṇoṅko bhī pahalese hī sarva parigrahakā tyāg karanā chāhiye ..219..

na khalu bahiransaṅgadbhāve tuṣhasadbhāve taṇḍulagatāshuddhatvasyevāshuddhopayogarūp- syāntaraṅgachchhedasya pratiṣhedhaḥ, tadbhāve cha na shuddhopayogamūlasya kaivalyasyopalambhaḥ . ato‘shuddhop- niravadyāhārādisahakārikāraṇan grāhyamiti punarapyapavādavisheṣhavyākhyānamukhyatven ‘uvayaraṇan jiṇamagge’ ityādyekādashagāthā bhavanti . atra ṭīkāyān gāthāchatuṣhṭayan nāsti . evan mūlasūtrābhiprāyeṇ trinshadgāthābhiḥ, ṭīkāpekṣhayā punardvādashagāthābhiḥ dvitīyāntarādhikāre samudāyapātanikā . tathāhiath bhāvashuddhi- pūrvakabahiraṅgaparigrahaparityāge kr̥ute sati abhyantaraparigrahaparityāgaḥ kr̥ut ev bhavatīti nirdishatiṇa hi ṇiravekkho chāgo na hi nirapekṣhastyāgaḥ yadi chet, parigrahatyāgaḥ sarvathā nirapekṣho na bhavati kintu kimapi vastrapātrādikan grāhyamiti bhavatā bhaṇyate, tarhi he shiṣhya ṇa havadi bhikkhussa āsayavisuddhī na bhavati bhikṣhorāshayavishuddhiḥ, tadā sāpekṣhapariṇāme sati bhikṣhostapodhanasya chittashuddhirna bhavati . avisuddhasya hi chitte shuddhātmabhāvanārūpashuddhirahitasya tapodhanasya chitte manasi hi sphuṭan kahan tu kammakkhao vihido kathan tu karmakṣhayo vihitaḥ uchito, na kathamapi . anenaitaduktan bhavatiyathā bahiraṅgatuṣhasadbhāve sati taṇḍulasyābhyantarashuddhin kartun nāyāti tathā vidyamāne vā bahiraṅgapari- grahābhilāṣhe sati nirmalashuddhātmānubhūtirūpān chittashuddhin kartun nāyāti . yadi punarvishiṣhṭavairāgya-

geṇhadi va chelakhaṇḍan bhāyaṇamatthi tti bhaṇidamih sutte .
jadi so chattālambo havadi kahan vā aṇārambho ..“17..
vatthakkhaṇḍan duddiyabhāyaṇamaṇṇan cha geṇhadi ṇiyadan .
vijjadi pāṇārambho vikkhevo tassa chittammi ..“18..
geṇhai vidhuṇai dhovai sosei jadan tu ādave khittā .

geṇhadi va chelakhaṇḍan gr̥uhṇāti vā chelakhaṇḍan vastrakhaṇḍan, bhāyaṇan bhikṣhābhājanan vā atthi tti bhaṇidan astīti bhaṇitamāste . kva . ih sutte ih vivakṣhitāgamasūtre jadi yadi chet . so chattālambo havadi kahan nirālambanaparamātmatattvabhāvanāshūnyaḥ san sa puruṣho bahirdravyālambanarahitaḥ kathan bhavati, na kathamapi; vā aṇārambho niḥkriyanirārambhanijātmatattvabhāvanārahitatven nirārambho vā kathan bhavati, kintu sārambha ev; iti prathamagāthā . vatthakkhaṇḍan duddiyabhāyaṇan vastrakhaṇḍan dugdhikābhājanan aṇṇan cha geṇhadi anyachcha gr̥uhṇāti kambalamr̥udushayanādikan yadi chet . tadā kin bhavati . ṇiyadan vijjadi pāṇārambho nijashuddhachaitanya- ashuddhopayogarūp antaraṅg chhedakā tyāg nahīn hotā aur usake sadbhāvamen shuddhopayogamūlak kaivalya (mokṣha) kī upalabdhi nahīn hotī .
