ataḥ sarvathotsargāpavādavirodhadausthityamācharaṇasya pratiṣhedhyan, tadarthamev sarvathānugamyashcha paraspar-
sāpekṣhotsargāpavādavijr̥umbhitavr̥uttiḥ syādvādaḥ

kr̥utvā pūrvakr̥utapuṇyen devaloke samutpadyate . tatra sanyamābhāvānmahān lepo bhavati . tataḥ kāraṇādapavād-
nirapekṣhamutsargan tyajati, shuddhātmabhāvanāsādhakamalpalepan bahulābhamapavādasāpekṣhamutsargan svīkaroti . tathaiv
cha pūrvasūtroktakrameṇāpahr̥utasanyamashabdavāchye‘pavāde pravartate tatra cha pravartamānaḥ san yadi kathañchidauṣhadh-
pathyādisāvadyabhayen vyādhivyathādipratīkāramakr̥utvā shuddhātmabhāvanān na karoti tarhi mahān lepo bhavati;

athavā pratīkāre pravartamāno‘pi harītakīvyājen guḍabhakṣhaṇavadindriyasukhalāmpaṭayen sanyamavirādhanān

karoti tadāpi mahān lepo bhavati
. tataḥ kāraṇādutsarganirapekṣhamapavādan tyaktvā shuddhātmabhāvanārūpan
shubhopayogarūpan vā sanyamamavirādhayannauṣhadhapathyādinimittotpannālpasāvadyamapi bahuguṇarāshimutsargasāpekṣham-
deshakālagnako bhī, yadi vah bālvr̥uddhashrāntglānatvake anurodhase, jo āhārvihār
hai, usase honevāle alpalepake bhayase usamen pravr̥utti na kare to (arthāt apavādake āshrayase
honevāle alpabandhake bhayase utsargakā haṭh karake apavādamen pravr̥utta na ho to), ati karkash
ācharaṇarūp hokar akramase sharīrapāt karake devalok prāpta karake jisane samasta sanyamāmr̥utakā
samūh vaman kar ḍālā hai use tapakā avakāsh na rahanese, jisakā pratīkār ashakya hai aisā

isase (aisā kahā gayā hai ki) utsarga aur apavādake virodhase honevālā jo
ācharaṇakā duḥsthitapanā vah sarvathā niṣhedhya (tyājya) hai, aur isīliye paraspar sāpekṣha utsarga
aur apavādase jisakī vr̥utti (-astitva, kārya) pragaṭ hotī hai aisā syādvād sarvathā anugamya
(anusaraṇ karane yogya) hai

vivaraṇarūpeṇ chaturthasthalan vyākhyātam . iti pūrvoktakrameṇ ‘ṇa hi ṇiravekkho chāgo’ ityāditrinshdgadgadgadgadgāthābhiḥ
sthalachatuṣhṭayenāpavādanāmā dvitīyāntarādhikāraḥ samāptaḥ . ataḥ paran chaturdashagāthāparyantan shrāmaṇyāparanāmā
mokṣhamārgādhikāraḥ kathyate . tatra chatvāri sthalāni bhavanti . teṣhu prathamataḥ āgamābhyāsamukhyatven
‘eyaggagado samaṇo’ ityādi yathākrameṇ prathamasthale gāthāchatuṣhṭayam . tadanantaran bhedābhedaratnatrayasvarūpamev
mokṣhamārga iti vyākhyānarūpeṇ ‘āgamapuvvā diṭṭhī’ ityādi dvitīyasthale sūtrachatuṣhṭayam . ataḥ paran
dravyabhāvasanyamakathanarūpeṇ ‘chāgo ya aṇārambho’ ityādi tr̥utīyasthale gāthāchatuṣhṭayam . tadanantaran
bhāvārtha :jab tak shuddhopayogamen hī līn na ho jāyā jāy tab tak shramaṇako
ācharaṇakī susthitike liye utsarga aur apavādakī maitrī sādhanī chāhiye . use apanī
nirbalatākā lakṣha rakhe binā mātra utsargakā āgrah rakhakar keval ati karkash ācharaṇakā haṭh
nahīn karanā chāhiye; tathā utsargarūp dhyeyako chūkakar mātra apavādake āshrayase keval mr̥udu
ācharaṇarūp shithilatākā bhī sevan nahīn karanā chāhiye
. kintu is prakārakā vartan karanā
chāhiye jisamen haṭh bhī na ho aur shithilatākā bhī sevan na ho . sarvagna bhagavānakā mārga
anekānta hai . apanī dashākī jān̐ch karake jaise bhī lābh ho usaprakārase vartan karanekā
bhagavānakā upadesh hai .
apanī chāhe jo (sabal yā nirbal) sthiti ho, tathāpi ek hī prakārase vartanā, aisā
jinamārga nahīn hai ..231..
ab shlok dvārā ātmadravyamen sthir honekī bāt kahakar ‘ācharaṇapragnāpan’ pūrṇa kiyā
jātā hai .
artha :isaprakār visheṣh ādarapūrvak purāṇ puruṣhoṅke dvārā sevit, utsarga aur apavād
dvārā anek pr̥uthakpr̥uthak bhūmikāommen vyāpta jo chāritra usako yati prāpta karake, kramashaḥ atul
nivr̥utti karake, chaitanyasāmānya aur chaitanyavisheṣharūp jisakā prakāsh hai aise nijadravyamen sarvataḥ

gnānalakṣhaṇanijaparamātmatattvasamyakshraddhānagnānānuṣhṭhānarūpamaikāgyan bhaṇyate . tatra gatastanmayatven pariṇataḥ
samūhake yathārthagnān dvārā susthit hai isaliye āgam hī samasta padārthoṅke yathārtha gnānase gambhīr hai ) .

huā vishvako svayam bhogyarūp grahaṇ karake, rāgadveṣharūp doṣhase kaluṣhit chittavr̥uttike kāraṇ

aniṣhṭa vibhāg dvārā dvaitako pravartit karatā huā pratyek vasturūp pariṇamit
honese atyanta asthiratāko prāpta hotā hai, isaliye [-uparokta tīn kāraṇonse ] us anishchayī
jīvake (1) kr̥utanishchay, (2) niṣhkriy aur (3) nirbhog aise bhagavān ātmāko
jo ki
yugapat vishvako pī jānevālā hone par bhī vishvarūp na honese ek hai usenahīn dekhanese satat
vyagratā hī hotī hai, (-ekāgratā nahīn hotī) .
aur ekāgratāke binā shrāmaṇya siddha nahīn hotā; kyoṅki jisake ekāgratā nahīn hai vah
jīv (1) ‘yah anek hī hai’ aisā dekhatā (-shraddhān karatā) huā usaprakārakī pratītimen

pravartamān jo 1dr̥ushignaptivr̥uttirūp ātmatattvamen ekāgratā hai usakā abhāv honese
shuddhātmatatvapravr̥uttirūp shrāmaṇya ho (shuddhātmatatvamen pravr̥uttirūp munipanā hī) nahīn hotā .

jisakā ki anekāntarūpī ketan (chihnadhvajlakṣhaṇ) pragaṭ hai usamen

bhāvārtha :āgamake vinā padārthoṅkā nishchay nahīn hotā, padārthoṅke nishchayake vinā
ashraddhājanit taralatā, parakartr̥utvābhilāṣhājanit kṣhobh aur parabhoktr̥uttvābhilāṣhājanit asthiratāke
kāraṇ ekāgratā nahīn hotī; aur ekāgratāke vinā ek ātmāmen shraddhān

āgamopadeshapūrvak svānubhavake abhāvake kāraṇ, ātmāmen aur ātmapradeshasthit sharīrādidravyommen
tathā upayogamishrit moharāgadveṣhādibhāvommen ‘yah par hai aur yah ātmā (-sva) hai’ aisā gnān
siddha nahīn hotā; tathā use,
3paramātmanishchāyak āgamopadeshapūrvak svānubhavake abhāvake kāraṇ,
jisake trikāl paripāṭīmen vichitra paryāyoṅkā samūh pragaṭ hotā hai aise agādhgambhīrasvabhāv
vishvako gneyarūp karake 4pratapit gnānasvabhāvī ek paramātmākā gnān bhī siddha nahīn hotā .
aur (isaprakār) jo (1) parātmagnānase tathā (2) paramātmagnānase shūnya hai use, (1)
dravyakarmase honevāle sharīrādike sāth tathā 5tatpratyayī moharāgadveṣhādi bhāvoṅke sāth ekatākā
anubhav karanese 6vadhyaghātakake vibhāgakā abhāv honese mohādidravyabhāvakarmoṅkā kṣhay siddha nahīn
hotā, tathā (2) 7gneyaniṣhṭhatāse pratyek vastuke utpādvināsharūp pariṇamit honeke kāraṇ
1. avivikta = avivekavālī; vivek shūnya, bhedhīn; abhinna; ekamek .
2. svaparanishchāyak = svaparakā nishchay karānevālā (āgamopadesh svaparakā nishchay karānevālā hai arthāt
svaparakā nishchay karanemen nimittabhūt hai .)
3. paramātmanishchāyak = paramātmākā nishchay karanevālā (arthāt gnānasvabhāv paramātmākā nishchay karanemen
nimittabhūt .)
4. pratapit = pratāpavān (gnānasvabhāv paramātmā vishvako gneyarūp karake tapatā haipratāpavān vartatā hai .)
5. tatpratyayī = tatsambandhī, vah jisakā nimitta hai aise .
6. vadhyaghātak = hanan yogya aur hananakartā [ātmā vadhya hai aur mohādibhāvakarma ghātak hain . mohādidravyakarma
bhī ātmāke ghātamen nimittabhūt honese ghātak kahalāte hain .]]
7. gneyaniṣhṭha = gneyommen niṣhṭhāvālā; gneyaparāyaṇ; gneyasammukh [anādi sansāramen gnapti gneyaniṣhṭha honese vah pratyek
padārthakī utpattivināsharūp pariṇamit honese parivartanako prāpta hotī rahatī hai . paramātmaniṣhṭhatāke binā
gnaptikā vah parivartan anivārya hai .]]

padārthasya sharīrādinokarmabhiḥ sahānyatvan na jānāti . itthambhūtabhedagnānābhāvāddehasthamapi nijashuddhātmānan na
rochate, samastarāgādiparihāreṇ na cha bhāvayati . tatashcha kathan karmakṣhayo bhavati, na kathamapīti . tataḥ
kāraṇānmokṣhārthinā paramāgamābhyās ev kartavya iti tātparyārthaḥ ..233.. ath mokṣhamārgārthināmāgam
anādi sansārase parivartanako pānevālī jo gnapti, usakā parivartan paramātmaniṣhṭhatāke atirikta
anivārya honese, gnaptiparivartanarūp karmoṅkā kṣhay bhī siddha nahīn hotā
. isaliye karmakṣhayārthiyoṅko
sarvaprakārase āgamakī paryupāsanā karanā yogya hai .
bhāvārtha :āgamakī paryupāsanāse rahit jagatako āgamopadeshapūrvak svānubhav na
honese ‘yah jo amūrtik ātmā hai so main hūn̐, aur ye samānakṣhetrāvagāhī sharīrādik vah par hain’
isīprakār ‘ye jo upayog hai so main hūn̐ aur ye upayogamishrit moharāgadveṣhādibhāv hain so par hai’
isaprakār sva
parakā bhedagnān nahīn hotā thā use āgamopadeshapūrvak svānubhav na honese ‘main
gnānasvabhāvī ek paramātmā hūn̐’ aisā paramātmagnān bhī nahīn hotā .
isaprakār jise (1) svapar gnān tathā (2) paramātmagnān nahīn hai use, (1) hanan
hone yogya svakā aur hananevāle mohādidravyabhāvakarmarūp parakā bhedagnān na honese
mohādidravyabhāvakarmoṅkā kṣhay nahīn hotā, tathā (2) paramātmaniṣhṭhatāke abhāvake kāraṇ gnaptikā
parivartan nahīn ṭalanese gnaptiparivartanarūp karmoṅkā bhī kṣhay nahīn hotā

isaliye mokṣhārthiyoṅko sarvaprakārase sarvagnakathit āgamakā sevan karanā chāhiye ..233..
ab, mokṣhamārga par chalanevāloṅko āgam hī ek chakṣhu hai aisā upadesh karate hain :
munirāj āgamachakṣhu ne sau bhūt indriyachakṣhu chhe,

nishchayaratnatrayādhāreṇ nijashuddhātmasādhakāḥ sādhavaḥ . indiyachakkhūṇi nishchayenātīndriyāmūrtakevalagnānādi-
guṇasvarūpāṇyapi vyavahāreṇānādikarmabandhavashādindriyādhīnatvenendriyachakṣhūnṣhi bhavanti . kāni kartr̥̄uṇi .
savvabhūdāṇi sarvabhūtāni sarvasansārijīvā ityarthaḥ . devā ya ohichakkhū devā api cha sūkṣhmamūrta-
pudgaladravyaviṣhayāvadhichakṣhuṣhaḥ . siddhā puṇ savvado chakkhū siddhāḥ punaḥ shuddhabuddhaikasvabhāvajīvalokākāsh-
pramitashuddhāsaṅkhyeyasarvapradeshachakṣhuṣh iti . anen kimuktan bhavati . sarvashuddhātmapradeshe lochanotpattinimittan
anvayārtha :[sādhuḥ ] sādhu [āgamachakṣhuḥ ] āgamachakṣhu (-āgamarūp chakṣhuvāle)
hain, [sarvabhūtāni ] sarvaprāṇī [indriy chakṣhūnṣhi ] indriyachakṣhuvāle hain, [devāḥ cha ] dev
[avadhichakṣhuṣhaḥ ] avadhichakṣhu
hain [punaḥ ] aur [siddhāḥ ] siddha [sarvataḥ chakṣhuṣhaḥ ] sarvataḥchakṣhu
(-sarva orase chakṣhuvāle arthāt sarvātmapradeshose chakṣhuvān) hain ..234..
ṭīkā :pratham to is lokamen bhagavanta siddha hī shuddhagnānamay honese sarvataḥ chakṣhu hain,
aur sheṣh ‘sabhī bhūt (-jīv), mūrta dravyommen hī unakī dr̥uṣhṭi laganese indriyachakṣhu hain . dev sūkṣhmatva-
vishiṣhṭa mūrta dravyoṅko grahaṇ karate hain isaliye ve avadhichakṣhu hain; athavā ve bhī, mātra rūpī dravyoṅko
dekhate hain isaliye unhen indriyachakṣhuvālonse alag na kiyā jāy to, indriyachakṣhu hī hain

yah sabhī sansārī mohase 1upahat honeke kāraṇ gneyaniṣhṭha honese, gnānaniṣhṭhatākā mūl jo shuddhātma-
tattvakā samvedan usase sādhya (-sadhanevālā) aisā sarvataḥ chakṣhupanā unake siddha nahīn hotā .
ab, us (sarvataḥchakṣhupane) kī siddhike liye bhagavant shramaṇ āgamachakṣhu hote hain .
yadyapi gney aur gnānakā pārasparik milan ho jānese unhen bhinna karanā ashakya hai (arthāt gney
gnānamen gnāt na hon aisā karanā ashakya hai ) tathāpi ve us āgamachakṣhuse svaparakā vibhāg karake,
mahāmohako jinane bhed ḍālā hai aise vartate hue paramātmāko pākar, satat gnānaniṣhṭha hī rahate hain

paramāgamopadeshādutpannan nirvikāran mokṣhārthibhiḥ svasamvedanagnānamev bhāvanīyamiti ..234.. athāgam-
lochanen sarvan drashyat iti pragnāpayatisavve āgamasiddhā sarve‘pyāgamasiddhā āgamen gnātāḥ . ke te .
atthā vishuddhagnānadarshanasvabhāvo yo‘sau paramātmapadārthastatprabhr̥utayo‘rthāḥ . kathan siddhāḥ . guṇapajjaehin
isase (aisā kahā jātā hai ki) mumukṣhuoṅko sab kuchh āgamarūp chakṣhu dvārā hī dekhanā
chāhiye ..234..
ab, yah samarthan karate hain ki āgamarūp chakṣhuse sab kuchh dikhāī detā hī hai :
anvayārtha :[sarve arthāḥ ] samasta padārtha [chitraiḥ guṇaparyāyaiḥ ] vichitra
(anek prakārakī) guṇaparyāyon sahit [āgamasiddhāḥ ] āgamasiddha hain . [tān api ] unhen bhī
[te shramaṇāḥ ] ve shramaṇ [āgamen hi dr̥uṣhṭā ] āgam dvārā vāstavamen dekhakar [jānanti ] jānate

melavāle hain, arthāt ve āgamānusār vispaṣhṭa vichārase gnāt hon aise hain ) . aur āgamase ve dravya

vyāpak (-anek dharmoṅko kahanevālā) 1anekāntamay honese āgamako pramāṇatākī upapatti

ab, āgamagnān, tatpūrvak tattvārthashraddhān aur tadubhayapūrvak sanyatattvakī yugapatatāko
mokṣhamārgapanā honekā niyam karate hain . [arthāt aisā niyam siddha karate hain ki1āgamagnān,
2tatpūrvak tattvārthashraddhān aur 3un donon pūrvak sanyatapanā in tīnoṅkā sāth honā hī
mokṣhamārga hai ] :
1. anekānta = anek anta; anek dharma . [dravyashrut anekāntamay hai; sarvadravyoṅke ek hī sāth aur kramashaḥ
pravartamān anek dharmommen vyāpta (unhen kahanevāle) anek dharma dravyashrutamen hain .]]
2. shrutagnānopayog anekāntātmak hai . sarva dravyoṅke anek dharmommen vyāpta (unhen jānanevāle anek dharma
bhāvashrutagnānamen hain ) .
dr̥uṣhṭi na āgamapūrvikā te jīvane sanyam nahīn
e sūtra kerun chhe vachan; muni kem hoy asanyamī ? 236.

rayapravr̥uttyabhāvāchcha sanyam ev na tāvat siddhayet .
āgamapūrvikā draṣhṭiḥ samyaktvan nāsti yasyeh loke sañjamo tassa ṇatthi sanyamastasya nāsti idi bhaṇadi
ityevan bhaṇati kathayati . kin kartr̥u . suttan sūtramāgamaḥ . asañjado hodi kidh samaṇo asanyataḥ san
shramaṇastapodhanaḥ kathan bhavati, na kathamapīti . tathāhiyadi nirdoṣhinijaparamātmaivopādey iti ruchirūpan
samyaktvan nāsti tarhi paramāgamabalen vishadaikagnānarūpamātmānan jānannapi samyagdraṣhṭirna bhavati, gnānī cha
na bhavati, taddvayābhāve sati pañchendriyaviṣhayābhilāṣhaṣhaḍjīvavadhavyāvr̥utto‘pi sanyato na bhavati . tataḥ
anvayārtha :[ih ] is lokamen [yasya ] jisakī [āgamapūrvā dr̥uṣhṭiḥ ]
āgamapūrvak dr̥uṣhṭi (darshan) [na bhavati ] nahīn hai [tasya ] usake [sanyamaḥ ] sanyam [nāsti ]

ṭīkā :is lokamen vāstavamen, syātkār jisakā chihna hai aise āgamapūrvak
1tattvārthashraddhānalakṣhaṇavālī dr̥uṣhṭise jo shūnya hai un sabhīko pratham to sanyam hī siddha nahīn hotā,
kyoṅki (1) svaparake vibhāgake abhāvake kāraṇ kāyā aur kaṣhāyoṅke sāth ekatākā
adhyavasāy karanevāle aise ve jīv,
2viṣhayoṅkī abhilāṣhākā nirodh nahīn honese chhah
jīvanikāyake ghātī hokar sarvataḥ (sab or se) pravr̥utti karate hain, isaliye unake sarvataḥ
nivr̥uttikā abhāv hai
. (arthāt kisī bhī orasekiñchitmātra bhī nivr̥utti nahīn hai ), tathāpi
(2) unake paramātmagnānake abhāvake kāraṇ gneyasamūhako kramashaḥ jānanevālī 3nirargal gnapti
1. tattvārthashraddhānalakṣhaṇavālī = tattvārthakā shraddhān jisakā lakṣhaṇ hai aisī . [samyagdarshanakā lakṣhaṇ
tattvārthashraddhān hai . vah āgamapūrvak hotā hai . āgamakā chihna ‘syāt’ kār hai] .]
2. jin jīvoṅko svaparakā bhedagnān nahīn hai unake bhale hī kadāchit pañchendriyoṅke viṣhayoṅkā sanyog dikhāī
na detā ho, chhah jīvanikāyakī dravyahinsā na dikhāī detī ho aur isaprakār sanyogase nivr̥utti dikhāī detī
ho, tathāpi kāyā aur kaṣhāyake sāth ekatva mānanevāle un jīvoṅke vāstavamen pañchendriyake viṣhayoṅkī
abhilāṣhākā nirodh nahīn hai, hinsākā kiñchitmātra abhāv nahīn hai aur isīprakār parabhāvase kiñchitmātra
nivr̥utti nahīn hai

paramātmagnānen na siddhayati, saddahaṇan jadi vi ṇatthi atthesu shraddhānan yadi cha nāsti paramātmādipadārtheṣhu .
saddahamāṇo atthe shraddadhāno vā chidānandaikasvabhāvanijaparamātmādipadārthān, asañjado vā ṇa ṇivvādi viṣhay-
kaṣhāyādhīnatvenāsanyato vā na nirvāti, nirvāṇan na labhat iti . tathāhiyathā pradīpasahitapuruṣhasya
kūpapatanaprastāve kūpapatanānnivartanan mam hitamiti nishchayarūpan shraddhānan yadi nāsti tadā tasya pradīpaḥ kin
karoti, na kimapi
. tathā jīvasyāpi paramāgamādhāreṇ sakalapadārthagneyākārakarambitavishadaikagnānarūpan
honese gnānarūp ātmatattvamen ekāgratākī pravr̥uttikā abhāv hai . (isaprakār unake sanyam siddha
nahīn hotā) aur (-isaprakār) jinake sanyam siddha nahīn hotā unhen 1sunishchit
aikāgyrāpariṇatatārūp shrāmaṇya hījisakā dūsarā nām mokṣhamārga hai vahīsiddha nahīn hotā .
isase āgamagnāntattvārthashraddhān aur sanyatattvake yugapatapaneko hī mokṣhamārgapanā honekā
niyam hotā hai ..236..
ab, aisā siddha karate hain kiāgamagnāntattvārthashraddhān aur sanyatattvake
ayugapatpaneko mokṣhamārgatva ghaṭit nahīn hotā :
anvayārtha :[āgamen ] āgamase, [yadi api ] yadi [artheṣhu shraddhānan nāsti ]
padārthoṅkā shraddhān na ho to, [na hi siddhayati ] siddhi (mukti) nahīn hotī; [arthān shraddhadhānaḥ ]

padārthagneyākārakarambitavishadaikagnānākāramātmānan na tathā pratyeti, tadā yathoditātmanaḥ shraddhān-

kiñch, sakalapadārthagneyākārakarambitavishadaikagnānākāramātmānan shraddadhāno‘pyanubhavannapi, yadi
svasminnev sanyamya na vartayati, tadānādimoharāgadveṣhavāsanopajanitaparadravyachaṅkramaṇasvairiṇyā-
shchidvr̥utteḥ svasminnev sthānānnirvāsananiṣhkampaikatattvamūrchchhitachidvr̥uttyabhāvātkathan nām sanyataḥ syāt

svātmānan jānato‘pi mamātmaivopādey iti nishchayarūpan yadi shraddhānan nāsti tadā tasya pradīpasthānīy
āgamaḥ kin karoti, na kimapi
. yathā vā sa ev pradīpasahitapuruṣhaḥ svakīyapauruṣhabalen kūpapatanādyadi
na nivartate tadā tasya shraddhānan pradīpo draṣhṭirvā kin karoti, na kimapi . tathāyan jīvaḥ

āgamabalase sakal padārthoṅkī vispaṣhṭa 1tarkaṇā karatā huā bhī yadi jīv sakal

ātmāko usaprakārase pratīt nahīn karatā to yathokta ātmāke shraddhānase shūnya honeke kāraṇ jo
yathokta ātmākā anubhav nahīn karatā aisā vah gneyanimagna gnānavimūrḥ jīv kaise gnānī hogā ?

aur, sakal padārthoṅke gneyākāroṅke sāth milit hotā huā vishad ek gnān jisakā
ākār hai aise ātmākā shraddhān karatā huā bhī, anubhav karatā huā bhī yadi jīv apanemen
hī sanyamit (-aṅkushit) hokar nahīn rahatā, to anādi moharāgadveṣhakī vāsanāse janit jo
paradravyamen bhramaṇ
usake kāraṇ jo svairiṇī (-svachchhandī, vyabhichāriṇī) hai aisī chidvr̥utti (-
chaitanyakī pariṇati) apanemen hī rahanese, vāsanārahit niṣhkamp ek tattvamen līn chidvr̥uttikā
abhāv honese, vah kaise sanyat hogā ? (nahīn hogā, asanyat hī hogā) aur asanyatako, yathokta
1. tarkaṇā = vichāraṇā; yukti ityādike āshrayavālā gnān .
2. milit hone vālā = mishrit honevālā; sambandhako prāpta; arthāt unhen jānanevālā . [samasta padārthoṅke

nāsti tathātrāpi kevalagnānāvaraṇe satyapyekadeshakṣhayopashamagnānāpekṣhayā nāstyāvaraṇam . yāvatānshen
nirāvaraṇā rāgādirahitatven shuddhā cha tāvatānshen mokṣhakāraṇan bhavati . tatra shuddhapāriṇāmikabhāvarūpan

rāgādivikalpanivr̥uttirūpan savikalpachāritramiti trayam
. tattrayaprasādenotpannan yannirvikalpasamādhirūpan
nishchayaratnatrayalakṣhaṇan vishiṣhṭasvasamvedanagnānan tadabhāvādagnānī jīvo bahubhavakoṭibhiryatkarma kṣhapayati,
ṭīkā :jo karma (agnānīko) kramaparipāṭīse tathā anek prakārake bālatapādirūp
udyamase pakate hue, rāgadveṣhako grahaṇ kiyā honese sukhaduḥkhādi vikārabhāvarūp pariṇamit honese
punaḥ santānako āropit karatā jāy isaprakār, lakṣhakoṭibhavon dvārā chāhe jisaprakār (-mahā
kaṣhṭase) agnānī pār kar jātā hai, vahī karma, (gnānīko syātkāraketan āgamagnān,
tattvārthashraddhān aur sanyatattvake yugapatpaneke atishayaprasādase prāpta kī huī shuddhagnānamay
ātmatattvakī anubhūti jisakā lakṣhaṇ hai aise gnānīpanake sadbhāvake kāraṇ kāy

karmoṅke 1uparamase triguptitā pravartamān honese prachaṇḍa udyam se pakatā huā, rāgadveṣhake chhoṛanese
samasta sukhaduḥkhādi vikār atyanta nirasta huā honese punaḥsantānako āropit na karatā jāy

tatkarma gnānī jīvaḥ pūrvoktagnānaguṇasadbhāvāt triguptiguptaḥ sannuchchhvāsamātreṇ līlayaiv kṣhapayatīti .
tato gnāyate paramāgamagnānatattvārthashraddhānasanyatatvānān bhedaratnatrayarūpāṇān sadbhāve‘pyabhedaratnatrayarūpasya sva-
samvedanagnānasyaiv pradhānatvamiti
..238.. ath pūrvasūtroktātmagnānarahitasya sarvāgamagnānatattvārthashraddhān-
isaprakār uchchhvāsamātramen hī līlāse hī gnānī naṣhṭa kar detā hai .
isase āgamagnān, tattvārthashraddhān aur sanyatattvakā yugapatpanā hone par bhī ātmagnānako
hī mokṣhamārgakā sādhakatam sammat karanā .
bhāvārtha :agnānīke kramashaḥ tathā bālatapādirūp udyamase karma pakate hain aur
1gnānīpanake kāraṇ honevāle triguptatārūp prachaṇḍa udyamase karma pakate hain; isaliye
agnānī jis karmako anek 2shatsahasrakoṭi bhavommen mahākaṣhṭase ullaṅghan (pār) kar pātā
hai vahī karma gnānī uchchhvāsamātramen hī, kautukamātramen hī naṣhṭa kar ḍālatā hai . aur agnānīke
vah karma, sukhaduḥkhādivikārarūp pariṇamanake kāraṇ, punaḥ nūtan karmarūp santatiko chhoṛatā jātā
hai tathā gnānīke sukhaduḥkhādivikārarūp pariṇaman na honese vah ka rma punaḥ nūtan karmarūp santatiko
nahīn chhoṛatā jātā

ab, aisā upadesh karate hain kiātmagnānashūnyake sarva āgamagnān, tattvārthashraddhān tathā
sanyatattvakā yugapatpanā bhī akiñchitkar hai, (arthāt kuchh bhī nahīn kar sakatā) :
1. gnānīpan = āgamagnāntattvārthashraddhānsanyatattvake yugapatpaneke atishay prasādase prāpta shuddhagnānamay
ātmatattvakī anubhūti gnānīpanakā lakṣhaṇ hai .
2. shatsahasrakoṭi = 100 × 1000 × 10000000
aṇumātra paṇ mūrchhā taṇo sadbhāv jo dehādike,

shuddhātmadravye sthitvā manovachanakāyavyāpāranivr̥uttiranārambhaḥ . visayavirāgo nirviṣhayasvātmabhāvanotthasukhe
tr̥uptin kr̥utvā pañchendriyasukhābhilāṣhatyāgo viṣhayavirāgaḥ. khao kasāyāṇan niḥkaṣhāyashuddhātmabhāvanābalen
krodhādikaṣhāyatyāgaḥ kaṣhāyakṣhayaḥ . so sañjamo tti bhaṇido sa evaṅguṇavishiṣhṭaḥ sanyam iti bhaṇitaḥ .
pavvajjāe viseseṇ sāmānyenāpi tāvadidan sanyamalakṣhaṇan, pravrajyāyān tapashcharaṇāvasthāyān visheṣheṇeti .

guptaḥ pariṇataḥ . pañchendiyasamvuḍo vyavahāreṇ pañchendriyaviṣhayavyāvr̥uttyā samvr̥utaḥ pañchendriyasamvr̥utaḥ, nishchayen
vātīndriyasukhasvādarataḥ . jidakasāo vyavahāreṇ krodhādikaṣhāyajayen jitakaṣhāyaḥ, nishchayen
chākaṣhāyātmabhāvanārataḥ . dansaṇaṇāṇasamaggo atra darshanashabden nijashuddhātmashraddhānarūpan samyagdarshanan grāhyam,
gnānashabden tu svasamvedanagnānamiti; tābhyān samagro darshanagnānasamagraḥ . samaṇo so sañjado bhaṇido sa
evaṅguṇavishiṣhṭaḥ shramaṇ sanyat iti bhaṇitaḥ . at etadāyātanvyavahāreṇ yadbahirviṣhaye vyākhyānan kr̥utan
ten savikalpan samyagdarshanagnānachāritratrayayaugapadyan grāhyam; abhyantaravyākhyānen tu nirvikalpātmagnānan
grāhyamiti savikalpayaugapadyan nirvikalpātmagnānan cha ghaṭat iti

sanyatatvalakṣhaṇen vikalpatrayayaugapadyen tathā nirvikalpātmagnānen cha yukto yo‘sau sanyatastasya kin
lakṣhaṇamityupadishati
. ityupadishati ko‘rthaḥ iti pr̥uṣhṭe pratyuttaran dadāti . evan prashnottarapātanikāprastāve
1. mardan kar karake = dabā dabāke, kachar kacharake, daman karake .
2. ātmatattvakā svabhāv vishuddhadarshanagnānamātra hai .
aur anubhav karatā huā ātmāmen hī nityanishchal vr̥uttiko ichchhatā huā, sanyamake sādhanarūp
banāye hue sharīrapātrako pān̐ch samitiyonse aṅkushit pravr̥utti dvārā pravartit karatā huā, kramashaḥ
pañchendriyoṅke nishchal nirodh dvārā jisake kāy
vachanmanakā vyāpār virāmako prāpta huā hai aisā
hokar, chidvr̥uttike liye paradravyamen bhramaṇakā nimitta jo kaṣhāyasamūh vah ātmāke sāth anyonya
milanake kāraṇ atyanta ekarūp ho jāne par bhī svabhāvabhedake kāraṇ use pararūpase nishchit
karake ātmāse hī kushal mallakī bhān̐ti atyanta
1mardan kar karake akramase use mār ḍālatā
hai, vah puruṣh vāstavamen, sakal paradravyase shūnya hone par bhī 2vishuddha darshanagnānamātra svabhāvarūpase
rahanevāle ātmatattva (-svadravya) men nityanishchal pariṇati utpanna honese, sākṣhāt sanyat hī hai .
aur use hī āgamagnāntattvārthashraddhānsanyatattvake yugapatpanekā tathā ātmagnānakā yugapatpanā
siddha hotā hai ..240..
