athāsya siddhāgamagnānatattvārthashraddhānasanyatatvayaugapadyātmagnānayaugapadyasanyatasya kīdr̥uglakṣhaṇ- mityanushāsti —
sanyamaḥ samyagdarshanagnānapuraḥsaran chāritran, chāritran dharmaḥ, dharmaḥ sāmyan, sāmyan mohakṣhobh- vihīnaḥ ātmapariṇāmaḥ . tataḥ sanyatasya sāmyan lakṣhaṇam . tatra shatrubandhuvargayoḥ sukhaduḥkhayoḥ prashansānindayoḥ loṣhṭakāñchanayorjīvitamaraṇayoshcha samam ayan mam paro‘yan svaḥ, ayan mahlādo‘yan paritāpaḥ, idan mamotkarṣhaṇamidamapakarṣhaṇamayan mamākiñchitkar idamupakārakamidan mamātmadhāraṇamay- kvāpi kvāpi yathāsambhavamitishabdasyārtho gnātavyaḥ — sa shramaṇaḥ sanyatastapodhano bhavati . yaḥ kimvishiṣhṭaḥ . shatrubandhusukhaduḥkhanindāprashansāloṣhṭakāñchanajīvitamaraṇeṣhu samaḥ samachittaḥ iti . tataḥ etadāyāti — shatru- bandhusukhaduḥkhanindāprashansāloṣhṭakāñchanajīvitamaraṇasamatābhāvanāpariṇatanijashuddhātmatattvasamyakshraddhān-
ab, āgamagnān – tattvārthashraddhān – sanyatattvake yugapatpanekā tathā ātmagnānakā yugapatpanā jise siddha huā hai aise is sanyatakā kyā lakṣhaṇ hai so kahate hain : —
anvayārtha : — [samashatrubandhuvargaḥ ] jise shatru aur bandhu varga samān hai, [samasukhaduḥkhaḥ ] sukh aur duḥkh samān hai, [prashansānindāsamaḥ ] prashansā aur nindāke prati jisako samatā hai, [samaloṣhṭakāñchanaḥ ] jise loṣhṭa (miṭṭīkā ḍhelā) aur suvarṇa samān hai, [punaḥ ] tathā [jīvitamaraṇe samaḥ ] jīvan – maraṇake prati jisako samatā hai, vah [shramaṇaḥ ] shramaṇ hai ..241..
ṭīkā : — sanyam, samyagdarshanagnānapūrvak chāritra hai; chāritra dharma hai; dharma sāmya hai; sāmya mohakṣhobh rahit ātmapariṇām hai . isaliye sanyatakā, sāmya lakṣhaṇ hai .

gnānānuṣhṭhānarūpanirvikalpasamādhisamutpannanirvikāraparamāhlādaikalakṣhaṇasukhāmr̥utapariṇatisvarūpan yatparamasāmyan tadev paramāgamagnānatattvārthashraddhānasanyatatvānān yaugapadyen tathā nirvikalpātmagnānen cha pariṇatatapodhanasya lakṣhaṇan gnātavyamiti ..241.. ath yadev sanyatatapodhanasya sāmyalakṣhaṇan bhaṇitan tadev shrāmaṇyāparanāmā abhāvake kāraṇ sarvatra jisase rāgadveṣhakā dvait pragaṭ nahīn hotā, jo satat vishuddhadarshanagnānasvabhāv ātmākā anubhav karatā hai, aur (isaprakār) shatru – bandhu, sukh – duḥkh, prashansā – nindā, loṣhṭa – kāñchan aur jīvit – maraṇako nirvisheṣhayatā hī (antarake binā hī) gneyarūp jānakar gnānātmak ātmāmen jisakī pariṇati achalit huī hai; us puruṣhako vāstavamen jo sarvataḥ sāmya hai vah (sāmya) sanyatakā lakṣhaṇ samajhanā chāhiye — ki jis sanyatake ātmagnān – tattvārthashraddhān – sanyatattvake yugapatpanekā aur ātmagnānakā yugapatpanā siddha huā hai ..241..
ab, yah samarthan karate hain ki āgamagnān – tattvārthashraddhān – sanyatattvake yugapatpaneke sāth ātmagnānake yugapatpanekī siddhirūp jo yah sanyatapanā hai vahī mokṣhamārga hai, jisakā dūsarā nām ekāgratālakṣhaṇavālā shrāmaṇya hai : —
anvayārtha : — [yaḥ tu ] jo [darshanagnānacharitreṣhu ] darshan, gnān aur chāritra – [triṣhu ] in tīnommen [yugapat ] ek hī sāth [samutthitaḥ ] ārūrḥ hai, vah [aikāgryataḥ ] ekāgratāko prāpta hai . [iti ] isaprakār [mataḥ ] (shāstramen) kahā hai . [tasya ] usake [shrāmaṇyan ] shrāmaṇya [paripūrṇam ] paripūrṇa hai ..242..

ye khalu shrāmaṇyapariṇatin pratignāyāpi, jīvitakaṣhāyakaṇatayā, samastaparadravyanivr̥utti- pravr̥uttasuvishuddhadr̥ushignaptisvabhāvātmatattvavr̥uttirūpān shuddhopayogabhūmikāmadhiroḍhun na kṣhamante, te tadupakaṇṭhaniviṣhṭāḥ, kaṣhāyakuṇṭhīkr̥utashaktayo, nitāntamutkaṇṭhulamanasaḥ, shramaṇāḥ kin bhaveyurna vetyatrābhidhīyate . ‘dhammeṇ pariṇadappā appā jadi suddhasampaogajudo . pāvadi ṇivvāṇasuhan suhovajutto va saggasuhan ..’ iti svayamev nirūpitatvādasti tāvachchhubhopayogasya dharmeṇ sahaikārthasamavāyaḥ . tataḥ shubhopayogino‘pi dharmasadbhāvādbhaveyuḥ shramaṇāḥ . kintu teṣhān shuddhopayogibhiḥ saman samakāṣhṭhatvan na bhavet, yataḥ shuddhopayogino nirastasamastakaṣhāyatvād- grāhyaḥ . tatra dr̥uṣhṭāntaḥ — yathā nishchayen shuddhabuddhaikasvabhāvāḥ siddhajīvā ev jīvā bhaṇyate, vyavahāreṇ chaturgatipariṇatā ashuddhajīvāshcha jīvā iti; tathā shuddhopayoginān mukhyatvan, shubhopayoginān tu chakārasamuchchayavyākhyānen gauṇatvam . kasmādgauṇatvan jātamiti chet . tesu vi suddhuvajuttā aṇāsavā sāsavā sesā teṣhvapi madhye shuddhopayogayuktā anāsravāḥ, sheṣhāḥ sāsravā iti yataḥ kāraṇāt . tadyathā — nij- shuddhātmabhāvanābalen samastashubhāshubhasaṅkalpavik lparahitatvāchchhuddhopayogino nirāsravā ev, sheṣhāḥ
ṭīkā : — jo vāstavamen shrāmaṇyapariṇatikī pratignā karake bhī, kaṣhāy kaṇake jīvit (vidyamān) honese, samasta paradravyase nivr̥uttirūpase pravartamān aisī jo asamartha hain; ve (shubhopayogī) jīv — jo ki shuddhopayogabhūmikāke 2upakaṇṭh nivās kar rahe hain, aur kaṣhāyane jinakī shakti kuṇṭhit kī hai, tathā jo atyanta utkaṇṭhit (-ātur) manavāle hain, ve — shramaṇ hain yā nahīn, yah yahān̐ kahā jātā hain : —

3. artha – dharmapariṇat svarūpavālā ātmā yadi shuddhopayogamen yukta ho to mokṣhasukhako pātā hai, aur yadi shubhopayogamen yukta ho to svargasukhako (bandhako) pātā hai .
4. ekārthasamavāy = ek padārthamen sāth rah sakanerūp sambandh (ātmapadārthamen dharma aur shubhopayog ekasāth ho sakatā hai isaliye shubhopayogakā dharmake sāth ekārthasamavāy hai .)

1. shramaṇasaṅghako shuddhātmapariṇatike rakṣhaṇamen nimittabhūt aisī jo upakārapravr̥utti shubhopayogī shramaṇ karate hain vah chhah kāyakī virādhanāse rahit hotī hai, kyoṅki un (shubhopayogī shramaṇon) ne sanyamakī pratignā lī hai .
2. shramaṇake 4 prakār yah hain : — (1) r̥uṣhi, (2) muni, (3) yati aur (4) anagār . r̥uddhiprāpta shramaṇ
r̥uṣhi hain, avadhi, manaḥparyay athavā kevalagnānavāle shramaṇ muni hain, upashamak yā kṣhapakashreṇīmen ārūrḥ
shramaṇ yati hain aur sāmānya sādhu vah anagār hain . isaprakār chaturvidh shramaṇ saṅgh hai .

ṭīkā : — jo (shramaṇ) dūsareke shuddhātmapariṇatikī rakṣhā ho aise abhiprāyase vaiyāvr̥utyakī pravr̥utti karatā huā apane sanyamakī virādhanā karatā hai, vah gr̥uhasthadharmamen pravesh kar rahā honese shrāmaṇyase chyut hotā hai . isase (aisā kahā hai ki) jo bhī pravr̥utti ho vah sarvathā sanyamake sāth virodh na āye isaprakār hī karanī chāhiye, kyoṅki pravr̥uttimen bhī sanyam hī sādhya hai .

bhāvārtha : — jo shramaṇ chhah kāyakī virādhanā sahit vaiyāvr̥utyādi pravr̥utti karatā hai, vah gr̥uhasthadharmamen pravesh karatā hai; isaliye shramaṇako vaiyāvr̥utyādikī pravr̥utti isaprakār karanī chāhiye ki jisase sanyamakī virādhanā na ho .
yahān̐ itanā visheṣh samajhanā chāhiye ki — jo svasharīr poṣhaṇake liye yā shiṣhyādike mohase sāvadyako nahīn chāhatā use to vaiyāvr̥utyādimen bhī sāvadyakī ichchhā nahīn karanī chāhiye, vah shobhāspad hai . kintu jo anyatra to sāvadyakī ichchhā kare kintu apanī avasthāke yogya vaiyāvr̥utyādi dharmakāryamen sāvadyako na chāhe usake to samyaktva hī nahīn hai ..250..

shuddhātmabhāvanāvināshakakhyātipūjālābhavāñchhārahitan yathā bhavati . kathambhūtānān jainānām . sāgāraṇagār- chariyajuttāṇan sāgārānāgāracharyāyuktānān shrāvakatapodhanācharaṇasahitānāmityarthaḥ ..251.. kasminprastāve vaiyāvr̥uttyan kartavyamityupadishati — paḍivajjadu pratipadyatān svīkarotu . kayā . ādasattīe svashaktyā . sa kaḥ kartā . sāhū ratnatrayabhāvanayā svātmānan sādhayatīti sādhuḥ . kam . samaṇan jīvitamaraṇādisamapariṇām- prati — jo ki shuddhātmāke gnān – darshanamen pravartamān 1vr̥uttike kāraṇ sākār – 2anākār charyāvāle hain unake prati, — shuddhātmākī upalabdhike atirikta anya sabakī apekṣhā kiye binā hī, us pravr̥uttike karanekā niṣhedh nahīn hai; kintu alpa lepavālī honese sabake prati sabhī prakārase vah pravr̥utti aniṣhiddha ho aisā nahīn hai, kyoṅki vahān̐ (arthāt yadi sabake prati sabhī prakārase kī jāy to) us prakārakī pravr̥uttise parake aur nijake shuddhātmapariṇatikī rakṣhā nahīn ho sakatī .

anvayārtha : — [ih nānābhūmigatāni bījāni ev ] jaise is jagatamen anek prakārakī bhūmiyommen paṛe hue bīj [sasyakāle ] dhānyakālamen viparītarūpase phalate hain, usīprakār [prashastabhūtaḥ rāgaḥ ] prashastabhūt rāg [vastuvisheṣheṇ ] vastu – bhedase ( – pātra bhedase) [viparītan phalati ] viparītarūpase phalatā hai ..255..
