tr̥uṣhṇābhirduḥkhabījatayā‘tyantaduḥkhitāḥ santo mr̥ugatr̥uṣhṇābhya ivāmbhānsi viṣhayebhyaḥ saukhyānya- bhilaṣhanti . tadduḥkhasantāpavegamasahamānā anubhavanti cha viṣhayān, jalāyukā iv, tāvadyāvat kṣhayan yānti . yathā hi jalāyukāstr̥uṣhṇābījen vijayamānen duḥkhāṅku reṇ kramataḥ samākramyamāṇā duṣhṭakīlālamabhilaṣhantyastadevānubhavantyashchāpralayāt klishyante, evamamī api puṇyashālinaḥ pāpashālin iv tr̥uṣhṇābījen vijayamānen duḥkhāṅku reṇ kramataḥ samākramyamāṇā viṣhayān- bhilaṣhantastānevānubhavantashchāpralayāt klishyante . ataḥ puṇyāni sukhābhāsasya duḥkhasyaiv sādhanāni syuḥ ..75.. sukhādvilakṣhaṇāni viṣhayasukhāni ichchhanti . na kevalamichchhanti, na kevalamichchhanti, aṇubhavanti ya anubhavanti cha . kimparyantam . āmaraṇan maraṇaparyantam . kathambhūtāḥ . dukkhasantattā duḥkhasantaptā iti . ayamatrārthaḥyathā tr̥uṣhṇodrekeṇ honese puṇyajanit tr̥uṣhṇāoṅke dvārā bhī atyanta duḥkhī hote hue 1mr̥ugatr̥uṣhṇāmense jalakī bhān̐ti viṣhayommense sukh chāhate hain aur us 2duḥkhasantāpake vegako sahan na kar sakanese viṣhayoṅko tab -tak bhogate hain, jab tak ki vināshako [-maraṇako ] prāpta nahīn hote . jaise joṅk (goñch) tr̥uṣhṇā jisakā bīj hai aise vijayako prāpta hotī huī duḥkhāṅkurase kramashaḥ ākrānta honese dūṣhit rakta ko chāhatī hai aur usīko bhogatī huī maraṇaparyanta kleshako pātī hai, usīprakār yah puṇyashālī jīv bhī, pāpashālī jīvoṅkī bhān̐ti, tr̥uṣhṇā jisakā bīj hai aise vijay prāpta duḥkhāṅkuroṅke dvārā kramashaḥ ākrānt honese, viṣhayoṅko chāhate hue aur unhīṅko bhogate hue vināshaparyant (-maraṇaparyanta) klesh pāte hain .

isase puṇya sukhābhās aise duḥkhakā hī sādhan hai .

bhāvārtha :jinhen samastavikalpajāl rahit paramasamādhise utpanna sukhāmr̥utarūp sarva ātmapradeshommen paramaāhlādabhūt svarūpatr̥upti nahīn vartatī aise samasta sansārī jīvoṅke nirantar viṣhayatr̥uṣhṇā vyakta yā avyaktarūpase avashya vartatī hai . ve tr̥uṣhṇārūpī bīj kramashaḥ aṅkurarūp hokar duḥkhavr̥ukṣharūpase vr̥uddhiko prāpta hokar, isaprakār duḥkhadāhakā veg asahya hone par, ve jīv viṣhayommen pravr̥utta hote hain . isaliye jinakī viṣhayommen pravr̥utti dekhī jātī hai aise devon takake samasta sansārī jīv duḥkhī hī hain .

isaprakār duḥkhabhāv hī puṇyoṅkāpuṇyajanit sāmagrīkāālamban karatā hai isaliye puṇya sukhābhās aise duḥkhakā hī avalambansādhan hai ..75.. 1. jaise mr̥ugajalamense jal nahīn milatā vaise hī indriyaviṣhayommense sukh prāpta nahīn hotā . 2. duḥkhasantāp = duḥkhadāh; duḥkhakī jalanpīṛā .

saparatvāt bādhāsahitatvāt vichchhinnatvāt bandhakāraṇatvāt viṣhamatvāchcha puṇya- janyamapīndriyasukhan duḥkhamev syāt . saparan hi sat parapratyayatvāt parādhīnatayā, bādhāsahitan preritāḥ jalaukasaḥ kīlālamabhilaṣhantyastadevānubhavantyashchāmaraṇan duḥkhitā bhavanti, tathā nijashuddhātma- samvittiparāṅmukhā jīvā api mr̥ugatr̥uṣhṇābhyo‘mbhānsīv viṣhayānabhilaṣhantastathaivānubhavantashchāmaraṇan duḥkhitā bhavanti . tat etadāyātan tr̥uṣhṇātaṅkotpādakatven puṇyāni vastuto duḥkhakāraṇāni iti ..75.. ath punarapi puṇyotpannasyendriyasukhasya bahudhā duḥkhatvan prakāshayatisaparan sah paradravyāpekṣhayā vartate saparan bhavatīndriyasukhan, pāramārthikasukhan tu paradravyanirapekṣhatvādātmādhīnan bhavati . bādhāsahidan tīvrakṣhudhā- tr̥uṣhṇādyanekabādhāsahitatvādbādhāsahitamindriyasukhan, nijātmasukhan tu pūrvoktasamastabādhārahitatvād- vyābādham . vichchhiṇṇan pratipakṣhabhūtāsātodayen sahitatvādvichchhinnan sāntaritan bhavatīndriyasukhan, atīndriyasukhan tu pratipakṣhabhūtāsātodayābhāvānnirantaram . bandhakāraṇan dr̥uṣhṭashrutānubhūtabhogākāṅkṣhā-

ab, punaḥ puṇyajanya indriyasukhako anek prakārase duḥkharūp prakāshit karate hain :

anvayārtha :[yat ] jo [indriyaiḥ labdhan ] indriyonse prāpta hotā hai [tat saukhyan ] vah sukh [saparan ] parasambandhayukta, [bādhāsahitan ] bādhāsahit [vichchhinnan ] vichchhinna [bandhakāraṇan ] bandhakā kāraṇ [viṣhaman ] aur viṣham hai; [tathā ] isaprakār [duḥkham ev ] vah duḥkh hī hai ..76..

ṭīkā :parasambandhayukta honese, bādhā sahit honese, vichchhanna honese, bandhakā kāraṇ honese, aur viṣham honese, indriyasukhpuṇyajanya hone par bhīduḥkh hī hai .

indriyasukh (1) ‘parake sambandhavālā’ hotā huā parāshrayatāke kāraṇ parādhīn hai,
parayukta, bādhāsahit, khaṇḍit, bandhakāraṇ, viṣham chhe;
je indriyothī labdha te sukh e rīte duḥkh ja khare. 76.

hi sadashanāyodanyāvr̥uṣhasyādibhistr̥uṣhṇāvyaktibhirupetatvāt atyantākulatayā, vichchhinnan hi sadasadvedyodayaprachyāvitasadvedyodayapravr̥uttatayā‘nubhavatvādudbhūtavipakṣhatayā, bandhakāraṇan hi sadviṣhayo- pabhogamārgānulagnarāgādidoṣhasenānusārasaṅgachchhamānaghanakarmapānsupaṭalatvādudarkaduḥsahatayā, viṣhaman hi sadabhivr̥uddhiparihāṇipariṇatatvādatyantavisanṣhṭhulatayā cha duḥkhamev bhavati . athaivan puṇyamapi pāpavad duḥkhasādhanamāyātam ..76.. prabhr̥utyanekāpadhyānavashen bhāvinarakādiduḥkhotpādakakarmabandhotpādakatvādbandhakāraṇamindriyasukhan, atīndriy- sukhan tu sarvāpadhyānarahitatvādabandhakāraṇam . visaman vigataḥ shamaḥ paramopashamo yatra tadviṣhamamatr̥uptikaran hānivr̥uddhisahitatvādvā viṣhaman, atīndriyasukhan tu paramatr̥uptikaran hānivr̥uddhirahitam . jan indiehin laddhan tan sokkhan dukkhamev tahā yadindriyairlabdhan sansārasukhan tatsukhan yathā pūrvoktapañchavisheṣhaṇavishiṣhṭan bhavati tathaiv duḥkhamevetyabhiprāyaḥ ..76.. evan puṇyāni jīvasya tr̥uṣhṇotpādakatven duḥkhakāraṇāni bhavantīti kathanarūpeṇ dvitīyasthale gāthāchatuṣhṭayan gatam . ath nishchayen puṇyapāpayorvisheṣho nāstīti kathayan puṇya- (2) ‘bādhāsahit’ hotā huā khāne, pīne aur maithunakī ichchhā ityādi tr̥uṣhṇākī vyaktiyonse (-tr̥uṣhṇākī pragaṭatāonse) yukta honese atyanta ākul hai, (3)‘vichchhinna’ hotā huā asātāvedanīyakā uday jise 1chyut kar detā hai aise sātāvedanīyake udayase pravartamān hotā huā anubhavamen ātā hai, isaliye vipakṣhakī utpattivālā hai, (4) ‘bandhakā kāraṇ’ hotā huā viṣhayopabhogake mārgamen lagī huī rāgādi doṣhoṅkī senāke anusār karmarajake 2ghan paṭalakā sambandha honeke kāraṇ pariṇāmase duḥsah hai, aur (5) ‘viṣham’ hotā huā hāni vr̥uddhimen pariṇamit honese atyanta asthir hai; isaliye vah (indriyasukh) duḥkh hī hai .

jab ki aisā hai (indriyasukh duḥkh hī hai) to puṇya bhī, pāpakī bhān̐ti, duḥkhakā sādhan hai aisā phalit huā .

bhāvārtha :indriyasukh duḥkh hī hai, kyoṅki vah parādhīn hai, atyanta ākul hai, vipakṣhakī (-virodhakī) utpattivālā hai, pariṇāmase duḥssah hai, aur atyanta asthir hai . isase yah siddha huā ki puṇya bhī duḥkhakā hī sādhan hai ..76.. 1. chyut karanā = haṭā denā; padabhraṣhṭa karanā; (sātāvedanīyakā uday usakī sthiti anusār rahakar haṭ jātā

evamuktakrameṇ shubhāshubhopayogadvaitamiv sukhaduḥkhadvaitamiv cha na khalu paramārthataḥ puṇyapāpadvaitamavatiṣhṭhate, ubhayatrāpyanātmadharmatvāvisheṣhatvāt . yastu punaranayoḥ kalyāṇakālāyas- pāpayorvyākhyānamupasanharatiṇa hi maṇṇadi jo evan na hi manyate ya evam . kim . ṇatthi viseso tti puṇṇapāvāṇan puṇyapāpayornishchayen visheṣho nāsti . sa kin karoti . hiṇḍadi ghoramapāran sansāran hiṇḍati bhramati . kam . sansāram . kathambhūtam . ghoram apāran chābhavyāpekṣhayā . kathambhūtaḥ . mohasañchhaṇṇo mohaprachchhādit iti . tathāhidravyapuṇyapāpayorvyavahāreṇ bhedaḥ, bhāvapuṇyapāpayostatphalabhūtasukhaduḥkhayoshchāshuddhanishchayen bhedaḥ,

ab, puṇya aur pāpakī avisheṣhatākā nishchay karate hue (is viṣhayakā) upasanhār karate hain :

anvayārtha :[evan ] isaprakār [puṇyapāpayoḥ ] puṇya aur pāpamen [visheṣhaḥ nāsti ] antar nahīn hai [iti ] aisā [yaḥ ] jo [na hi manyate ] nahīn mānatā, [mohasañchhannaḥ ] vah mohāchchhādit hotā huā [ghor apāran sansāran ] ghor apār sansāramen [hiṇḍati ] paribhramaṇ karatā hai ..77..

ṭīkā : yon pūrvokta prakārase, shubhāshubh upayogake dvaitakī bhān̐ti aur sukhaduḥkhake dvaitakī bhān̐ti, paramārthase puṇyapāpakā dvait nahīn ṭikatānahīn rahatā, kyoṅki donommen anātmadharmatva avisheṣh arthāt samān hai . (paramārthase jaise shubhopayog aur ashubhopayogarūp dvait vidyamān nahīn hai, jaise 1sukh aur duḥkharūp dvait vidyamān nahīn hai, usīprakār puṇya aur pāparūp dvaitakā bhī astitva nahīn hai; kyoṅki puṇya aur pāp donon ātmāke dharma na honese nishchayase samān hī hain .) 1. sukh = indriyasukh

shuddhanishchayen tu shuddhātmano bhinnatvādbhedo nāsti . evan shuddhanayen puṇyapāpayorabhedan yo‘sau na manyate

antar mānatā huā, ahamindrapadādi sampadāoṅke kāraṇabhūt dharmānurāg par atyanta
nirbharamayarūpase (-gāḍharūpase) avalambit hai, vah jīv vāstavamen chittabhūmike uparakta honese
(-chittakī bhūmi karmopādhike nimittase raṅgī huī
malin vikr̥ut honese) jisane shuddhopayog
shaktikā tiraskār kiyā hai, aisā vartatā huā sansāraparyanta (-jabatak is sansārakā astitva
hai tabatak arthāt sadāke liye) shārīrik duḥkhakā hī anubhav karatā hai

bhāvārtha :jaise sonekī beḍī aur lohekī beḍī donon avisheṣharūpase bān̐dhanekā hī kām karatī hain usīprakār puṇya -pāp donon avisheṣharūpase bandhan hī hain . jo jīv puṇya aur pāpakī avisheṣhatāko kabhī nahīn mānatā usakā us bhayaṅkar sansāramen paribhramaṇakā kabhī anta nahīn ātā ..77..

ab, isaprakār shubh aur ashubh upayogakī avisheṣhatā avadhārit karake, samasta rāgadveṣhake dvaitako dūr karate hue, asheṣh duḥkhakā kṣhay karanekā manamen dr̥urḥ nishchay karake shuddhopayogamen nivās karatā hai (-use aṅgīkār karatā hai ) : 1. puṇya aur pāpamen antar honekā mat ahaṅkārajanya (avidyājanya, agnānajanya hai) .

viditārtha e rīt, rāgadveṣh lahe na je dravyo viṣhe, shuddhopayogī jīv te kṣhay dehagat duḥkhano kare. 78.

anvayārtha :[evan ] isaprakār [viditārthaḥ ] vastusvarūpako jānakar [yaḥ ] jo [dravyeṣhu ] dravyoṅke prati [rāgan dveṣhan vā ] rāg yā dveṣhako [na eti ] prāpta nahīn hotā, [sa ] vah [upayogavishuddhaḥ ] upayogavishuddhaḥ hotā huā [dehodbhavan duḥkhan ] dohotpanna duḥkhakā [kṣhapayati ] kṣhay karatā hai ..78..

ṭīkā :jo jīv shubh aur ashubh bhāvoṅke avisheṣhadarshanase (-samānatākī shraddhāse) vastusvarūpako samyakprakārase jānatā hai, sva aur par do vibhāgommen rahanevālī, samasta paryāyon sahit samasta dravyoṅke prati rāg aur dveṣhako niravasheṣharūpase chhoṛatā hai, vah jīv, ekāntase upayogavishuddha (-sarvathā shuddhopayogī) honese jisane paradravyakā ālamban chhoṛ diyā hai aisā vartatā huāloheke golemense loheke 1sārakā anusaraṇ na karanevālī agnikī bhān̐tiprachaṇḍ ghanake āghāt samān shārīrik duḥkhakā kṣhay karatā hai . (jaise agni loheke tapta golemense loheke satvako dhāraṇ nahīn karatī isaliye agni par prachaṇḍ ghanake prahār nahīn hote, usīprakār paradravyakā ālamban na karanevāle ātmāko shārīrik duḥkhakā vedan nahīn hotā .) isaliye yahī ek shuddhopayog merī sharaṇ hai ..78.. 1. sār = satva, ghanatā, kaṭhinatā .

ath yadi sarvasāvadyayogamatītya charitramupasthito‘pi shubhopayogānuvr̥uttivashatayā mohādīnnonmūlayāmi, tataḥ kuto me shuddhātmalābh iti sarvārambheṇottiṣhṭhate

chattā pāvārambhan samuṭṭhido vā suhammi chariyammi .
ṇa jahadi jadi mohādī ṇa lahadi so appagan suddhan ..79..
tyaktvā pāpārambhan samutthito vā shubhe charitre .
na jahāti yadi mohādīnna labhate sa ātmakan shuddham ..79..

yaḥ khalu samastasāvadyayogapratyākhyānalakṣhaṇan paramasāmāyikan nām chāritran pratignāyāpi shubhopayogavr̥uttyā bakābhisārik yevābhisāryamāṇo na mohavāhinīvidheyatāmavakirati sa kil prathamagnānakaṇḍikā samāptā . ath shubhāshubhopayoganivr̥uttilakṣhaṇashuddhopayogen mokṣho bhavatīti pūrvasūtre bhaṇitam . atra tu dvitīyagnānakaṇḍikāprārambhe shuddhopayogābhāve shuddhātmānan na labhate iti tamevārthan

ab, sarva sāvadyayogako chhoṛakar chāritra aṅgīkār kiyā hone par bhī yadi main shubhopayogapariṇatike vash hokar mohādikā 1unmūlan na karūn̐, to mujhe shuddha ātmākī prāpti kahān̐se hogī ?isaprakār vichār karake mohādike unmūlanake prati sarvārambha (-sarvaudyam) pūrvak kaṭibaddha hotā hai :

anvayārtha :[pāpārambhan ] pāparambhako [tyaktvā ] chhoṛakar [shubhe charitre ] shubh chāritramen [samutthitaḥ vā ] udyat hone par bhī [yadi ] yadi jīv [mohādīn ] mohādiko [na jahāti ] nahīn chhoṛatā, to [saḥ ] vah [shuddhan ātmakan ] shuddha ātmāko [ na labhate ] prāpta nahīn hotā ..79..

ṭīkā :jo jīv samasta sāvadyayogake pratyākhyānasvarūp paramasāmāyik nāmak chāritrakī pratignā karake bhī dhūrta 2abhisārikā (nāyikā) kī bhān̐ti shubhopayogapariṇatise 3abhisār (-milan) ko prāpta hotā huā (arthāt shubhopayogapariṇatike premamen phan̐satā huā) 1. unmūlan = jaṛamūlase nikāl denā; nikandan . 2. abhisārikā = saṅket anusār premīse milane jānevālī strī . 3. abhisār = premīse milane jānā .

jīv chhoḍī pāpārambhane shubh charitamān udyat bhale, jo nav taje mohādine to nav lahe shuddhātmane. 79.

yo hi nāmārhantan dravyatvaguṇatvaparyayatvaiḥ parichchhinatti sa khalvātmānan parichchhinatti, vyatirekarūpeṇ dr̥uḍhayatichattā pāvārambhan pūrvan gr̥uhavāsādirūpan pāpārambhan tyaktvā samuṭṭhido vā suhammi chariyamhi samyagupasthito vā punaḥ . kva . shubhacharitre . ṇa jahadi jadi mohādī na tyajati yadi chenmoharāgadveṣhān ṇa lahadi so appagan suddhan na labhate sa ātmānan shuddhamiti . ito vistaraḥko‘pi mokṣhārthī paramopekṣhālakṣhaṇan paramasāmāyikan pūrvan pratignāy pashchādviṣhayasukhasādhakashubhopayogapariṇatyā mohitāntaraṅgaḥ san nirvikalpasamādhilakṣhaṇapūrvoktasāmāyikachāritrābhāve sati nirmohashuddhātmatattvaprati- pakṣhabhūtān mohādīnna tyajati yadi chettarhi jinasiddhasadr̥ushan nijashuddhātmānan na labhat iti sūtrārthaḥ ..79.. mohakī senāke vashavartanapaneko dūr nahīn kar ḍālatājisake mahā duḥkh saṅkaṭ nikaṭ hain aisā vah, shuddha (-vikār rahit, nirmal) ātmāko kaise prāpta kar sakatā hai ? (nahīn prāpta kar sakatā) isaliye mainne mohakī senā par vijay prāpta karaneko kamar kasī hai .

ab, ‘main mohakī senāko kaise jītūn’aisā upāy vichāratā hai :

anvayārtha :[yaḥ ] jo [arhantan ] arahantako [dravyatva -guṇatvaparyayatvaiḥ ] dravyapane guṇapane aur paryāyapane [jānāti ] jānatā hai, [saḥ ] vah [ātmānan ] (apane) ātmāko [jānāti ] jānatā hai aur [tasya mohaḥ ] usakā moh [khalu ] avashya [layan yāti ] layako prāpta hotā hai ..80..

duttarottarakṣhaṇakṣhīyamāṇakartr̥ukarmakriyāvibhāgatayā niṣhkriyan chinmātran bhāvamadhigatasya jātasya maṇerivākampapravr̥uttanirmalālokasyāvashyamev nirāshrayatayā mohatamaḥ pralīyate . yadyevan labdho mayā mohavāhinīvijayopāyaḥ ..80.. shuddhachaitanyānvayarūpan dravyan cheti . itthambhūtan dravyaguṇaparyāyasvarūpan pūrvamarhadabhidhāne paramātmani gnātvā pashchānnishchayanayen tadevāgamasārapadabhūtayā‘dhyātmabhāṣhayā nijashuddhātmabhāvanābhimukharūpeṇ savikalpasva- samvedanagnānen tathaivāgamabhāṣhayādhaḥpravr̥uttikaraṇāpūrvakaraṇānivr̥uttikaraṇasañgnadarshanamohakṣhapaṇasamarthapariṇām- visheṣhabalen pashchādātmani yojayati . tadanantaramavikalpasvarūpe prāpte, yathā paryāyasthānīyamuktāphalāni guṇasthānīyan dhavalatvan chābhedanayen hār ev, tathā pūrvoktadravyaguṇaparyāyā abhedanayenātmaiveti bhāvayato darshanamohāndhakāraḥ pralīyate . iti bhāvārthaḥ ..80.. ath pramādotpādakachāritramohasañgnashchauro‘stīti matvā‘‘ptaparignānādupalabdhasya shuddhātmachintāmaṇeḥ rakṣhaṇārthan jāgartīti kathayatijīvo jīvaḥ kartā . jānane par, usake uttarottar kṣhaṇamen kartā -karma -kriyākā vibhāg kṣhayako prāpta hotā jātā hai isaliye niṣhkriy chinmātra bhāvako prāpta hotā hai; aur isaprakār maṇikī bhān̐ti jisakā nirmal prakāsh akamparūpase pravartamān hai aise us (chinmātra bhāvako prāpta) jīvake mohāndhakār nirāshrayatāke kāraṇ avashyamev pralayako prāpta hotā hai .

yadi aisā hai to mainne mohakī senāko jītanekā upāy prāpta kar liyā hai .

bhāvārtha :arahant bhagavān aur apanā ātmā nishchayase samān hai . arahant bhagavān moh -rāg -dveṣharahit honese unakā svarūp atyanta spaṣhṭa hai, isaliye yadi jīv dravya -guṇ- paryāy rūpase us (arahant bhagavānake) svarūpako manake dvārā pratham samajh le to ‘‘yah jo ātmā, ātmākā ekarūp (-kathañchit sadr̥ush) traikālik pravāh hai so dravya hai, usakā jo ekarūp rahanevālā chaitanyarūp visheṣhaṇ hai so guṇ hai aur us pravāhamen jo kṣhaṇavartī vyatirek hain so paryāyen hain’’ isaprakār apanā ātmā bhī dravya -guṇ -paryāyarūpase manake dvārā gnānamen ātā hai . isaprakār traikālik nij ātmāko manake dvārā gnānamen lekarjaise motiyoṅko aur saphe dīko hāramen hī antargat karake mātra hār hī jānā jātā hai, usīprakār ātmaparyāyoṅko aur chaitanya -guṇako ātmāmen hī antargarbhit karake keval ātmāko jānane par pariṇāmī -pariṇām -pariṇatike bhedakā vikalpa naṣhṭa ho jātā hai, isaliye jīv niṣhkriy chinmātra bhāvako prāpta hotā hai, aur usase darshanamoh nirāshray hotā huā naṣhṭa ho jātā hai . yadi aisā hai to mainne mohakī senā par vijay prāpta karanekā upāy prāpta kar liyā hai, aisā kahā hai ..80..

ab, isaprakār mainne chintāmaṇi -ratna prāpta kar liyā hai tathāpi pramād chor vidyamān hai, aisā vichār kar jāgr̥ut rahatā hai :

anvayārtha :[vyapagatamohaḥ ] jisane mohako dūr kiyā hai aur [samyak ātmanaḥ tattvan ] ātmāke samyak tattvako (-sachche svarūpako) [upalabdhavān ] prāpta kiyā hai aisā [jīvaḥ ] jīv [yadi ] yadi [rāgadveṣhau ] rāgadveṣhako [jahāti ] chhoṛatā hai, [saḥ ] to vah [shuddhan ātmānan ] shuddha ātmāko [ labhate ] prāpta karatā hai ..81..

ṭīkā :isaprakār jis upāyakā svarūp varṇan kiyā hai, us upāyake dvārā mohako dūr karake bhī samyak ātmatattvako (yathārtha svarūpako) prāpta karake bhī yadi jīv rāgadveṣhako nirmūl karatā hai, to shuddha ātmākā anubhav karatā hai . (kintu) yadi punaḥ -punaḥ unakā anusaraṇ karatā hai,rāgadveṣharūp pariṇaman karatā hai, to pramādake adhīn honese shuddhātmatattvake anubhavarūp chintāmaṇi -ratnake churāye jānese antaraṅgamen khedako prāpta hotā hai . isaliye mujhe

jīv mohane karī dūr, ātmasvarūp samyak pāmīne, jo rāgadveṣh parihare to pāmato shuddhātmane. 81.

evamabhedaratnatrayapariṇato jīvaḥ shuddhabuddhaikasvabhāvamātmānan labhate mukto bhavatīti . kiñch pūrvan gnānakaṇḍikāyān ‘uvaogavisuddho so khavedi dehubbhavan dukkhan’ ityuktan, atra tu ‘jahadi jadi rāgadose so appāṇan lahadi suddhan’ iti bhaṇitam, ubhayatra mokṣho‘sti . ko visheṣhaḥ . pratyuttaramāhtatra shubhāshubhayornishchayen samānatvan gnātvā pashchāchchhuddhe shubharahite nijasvarūpe sthitvā mokṣhan labhate, ten kāraṇen shubhāshubhamūḍhatvanirāsārthan gnānakaṇḍikā bhaṇyate . atra tu dravyaguṇaparyāyairāptasvarūpan gnātvā pashchāttadrūpe svashuddhātmani sthitvā mokṣhan prāpnoti, tataḥ kāraṇādiyamāptātmamūḍhatvanirāsārthan gnānakaṇḍikā rāgadveṣhako dūr karaneke liye atyanta jāgr̥ut rahanā chāhiye .

bhāvārtha :80 vīn gāthāmen batāye gaye upāyase darshanamohako dūr karake, arthāt samyakdarshan prāpta karake jo jīv shuddhātmānubhūtisvarūp vītarāgachāritrake pratibandhak rāg -dveṣhako chhoṛatā hai, punaḥ -punaḥ rāgadveṣhabhāvamen pariṇamit nahīn hotā, vahī abhedaratnatrayapariṇat jīv shuddha- buddha -ekasvabhāv ātmāko prāpta karatā haimukta hotā hai . isaliye jīvako samyagdarshan prāpta karake bhī sarāg chāritra prāpta karake bhī, rāgadveṣhake nivāraṇārtha atyanta sāvadhān rahanā chāhiye ..81..

ab, yahī ek (-pūrvokta gāthāommen varṇit yahī ek), bhagavantonne svayam anubhav karake pragaṭ kiyā huā 1niḥshreyasakā pāramārthikapantha haiisaprakār matiko 2vyavasthit karate hain :

anvayārtha :[sarve api cha ] sabhī [arhantaḥ ] arahanta bhagavān [ten vidhānen ] usī vidhise [kṣhapitakarmānshāḥ ] karmānshoṅkā kṣhay karake [tathā ] tathā usīprakārase [upadeshan 1. niḥshreyas = mokṣha . 2. vyavasthit = nishchit; sthir .

arhant sau karmo taṇo karī nāsh e ja vidhi vaḍe, upadesh paṇ em ja karī, nirvr̥ut thayā; namun temane. 82.

ab, shuddhātmalābhake 1paripanthī -mohakā svabhāv aur usamen prakāroṅko (-bhedoṅko) vyakta karate hain :

anvayārtha :[jīvasya ] jīvake [dravyādikeṣhu mūrḥaḥ bhāvaḥ ] dravyādi sambandhī mūrḥ bhāv (-dravyaguṇaparyāyasambandhī jo mūrḥatārūp pariṇām) [mohaḥ iti bhavati ] vah moh hai [ten avachchhannaḥ ] usase āchchhādit vartatā huā jīv [ rāgan vā dveṣhan vā prāpya ] rāg athavā dveṣhako prāpta karake [kṣhubhyati ] kṣhubdha hotā hai ..83..

ṭīkā :dhatūrā khāye hue manuṣhyakī bhān̐ti, jīvake jo pūrva varṇit dravya -guṇ- 1. paripanthī = shatru; mārgamen lūṭanevālā .

dravyādike mūrḥ bhāv varte jīvane, te moh chhe; te mohathī āchchhanna rāgī -dveṣhī thaī kṣhobhit bane. 83.

(‘dagdha’ tiraskāravāchak shabda hai) 3. indriyaviṣhayommenpadārthommen ‘yah achchhe hain aur yah bure’ isaprakārakā dvait nahīn hai; tathāpi vahān̐ bhī

mohāchchhādit jīv achchhebūrekā dvait utpanna kar lete hain .

evamasya tattvāpratipattinimīlitasya, mohen vā rāgeṇ vā dveṣheṇ vā pariṇatasya, tr̥uṇapaṭalāvachchhannagartasaṅgatasya kareṇukuṭṭanīgātrāsaktasya pratidviradadarshanoddhatapravidhāvitasya cha sindhurasyev, bhavati nām nānāvidho bandhaḥ . tato‘mī aniṣhṭakāryakāriṇo mumukṣhuṇā moharāgadveṣhāḥ samyagnirmūlakāṣhan kaṣhitvā kṣhapaṇīyāḥ ..84.. moheṇ va rāgeṇ va doseṇ va pariṇadassa jīvassa moharāgadveṣhapariṇatasya mohādirahitaparamātmasvarūp- pariṇatichyutasya bahirmukhajīvasya jāyadi viviho bandho shuddhopayogalakṣhaṇo bhāvamokṣhastadbalen jīv- pradeshakarmapradeshānāmatyantavishleṣho dravyamokṣhaḥ, itthambhūtadravyabhāvamokṣhādvilakṣhaṇaḥ sarvaprakāropādeyabhūtasvā- bhāvikasukhaviparītasya nārakādiduḥkhasya kāraṇabhūto vividhabandho jāyate . tamhā te saṅkhavaidavvā yato

ab, tīnon prakārake mohako aniṣhṭa kāryakā kāraṇ kahakar usakā (-tīn prakārake mohakā) kṣhay karaneko sūtra dvārā kahate hain :

anvayārtha :[mohen vā ] moharūp [rāgeṇ vā ] rāgarūp [dveṣheṇ vā ] athavā dveṣharūp [pariṇatasya jīvasya] pariṇamit jīvake [vividhaḥ bandhaḥ ] vividh bandh [jāyate ] hotā hai; [tasmāt ] isaliye [te ] ve (moh -rāg -dveṣh) [saṅkṣhapayitavyāḥ ] sampūrṇatayā kṣhay karane yogya hain ..84..

ṭīkā :isaprakār tattva -apratipatti (-vastusvarūpake agnān) se band hue, moh- rūp -rāgarūp yā dveṣharūp pariṇamit hote hue is jīvakoghāsake ḍherase ḍhan̐ke hue khaḍḍekā saṅg karanevāle hāthīkī bhān̐ti, hathinīrūpī kuṭṭanīke sharīramen āsakta hāthīkī bhān̐ti aur virodhī hāthīko dekhakar, uttejit hokar (usakī or) dauṛate hue hāthīkī bhān̐tivividh prakārakā bandh hotā hai; isaliye mumukṣhu jīvako aniṣhṭa kārya karanevāle is moh, rāg aur dveṣhakā yathāvat

re ! moharūp vā rāgarūp vā dveṣhapariṇat jīvane vidhavidh thāye bandh, tethī sarva te kṣhayayogya chhe . 84.

..84.. ath svakīyasvakīyaliṅgai rāgadveṣhamohān gnātvā
nirmūl nāsh ho isaprakār kṣhay karanā chāhiye .

bhāvārtha : (1) hāthīko pakaṛaneke liye dharatīmen khaḍḍā banākar use ghāsase ḍhak diyā jātā hai, vahān̐ khaḍḍā honeke kāraṇ us khaḍḍe par jānese hāthī gir paḍatā hai aur vah isaprakār pakaṛā jātā hai . (2) hāthīko pakaṛaneke liye sikhāī huī hathinī bhejī jātī hai; usake shārīrik rāgamen phan̐sanese hāthī pakaṛā jātā hai . (3) hāthī pakaṛanekī tīsarī rīti yah hai ki us hāthīke sāmane dūsarā pālit hāthī bhejā jātā hai; usake pīchhe vah hāthī uttejit hokar laṛaneke liye dauṛatā hai aur isaprakār vah pakaṛanevāloṅke jālamen phan̐s jātā hai .

uparyukta prakārase jaise hāthī (1) agnānase, (2) rāgase (3) dveṣhase anek prakārake bandhanako prāpta hotā hai, usīprakār jīv (1) mohase, (2) rāgase yā (3) dveṣhase anek prakārake bandhanako prāpta hotā hai, isaliye mokṣhārthīko moh -rāg -dveṣhakā bhalībhān̐ti -sampūrṇatayā mūlase hī kṣhay kar denā chāhiye ..84..

ab, is moharāgadveṣhako in (āgāmī gāthāmen kahe gaye) chihnon -lakṣhaṇoṅke dvārā pahichān kar utpanna hote hī naṣhṭa kar denā chāhiye, esā pragaṭ karate hain :

anvayārtha :[arthe ayathāgrahaṇan ] padārthakā ayathāgrahaṇ (arthāt padārthoko jaise hain vaise satyasvarūp na mānakar unake viṣhayamen anyathā samajh) [cha ] aur [tiryaṅmanujeṣhu karuṇābhāvaḥ ] tiryañch -manuṣhyoṅke prati karuṇābhāv, [viṣhayeṣhu prasaṅgaḥ cha ] tathā viṣhayoṅkī saṅgati (iṣhṭa viṣhayommen prīti aur aniṣhṭa viṣhayommen aprīti)[etāni ] yah sab [mohasya liṅgāni ] mohake chihnalakṣhaṇ hain ..85..

yathāsambhavan ta ev vināshayitavyā ityupadishatiaṭṭhe ajadhāgahaṇan shuddhātmādipadārthe yathāsvarūpasthite‘pi viparītābhinivesharūpeṇāyathāgrahaṇan karuṇābhāvo ya shuddhātmopalabdhilakṣhaṇaparamopekṣhāsanyamādviparītaḥ karuṇā- bhāvo dayāpariṇāmashcha athavā vyavahāreṇ karuṇāyā abhāvaḥ . keṣhu viṣhayeṣhu . maṇuvatiriesu manuṣhya- tiryagjīveṣhu iti darshanamohachihnam . visaesu ya ppasaṅgo nirviṣhayasukhāsvādarahitabahirātmajīvānān manognāmanognaviṣhayeṣhu cha yo‘sau prakarṣheṇ saṅgaḥ sansargastan dr̥uṣhṭvā prītyaprītiliṅgābhyān chāritramohasañgnau

ṭīkā :1padārthoṅkī ayathātathyarūp pratipattike dvārā aur tiryañch -manuṣhya 2prekṣhāyogya hone par bhī unake prati karuṇābuddhise mohako (jānakar), iṣhṭa viṣhayoṅkī āsaktise rāgako aur aniṣhṭa viṣhayoṅkī aprītise dveṣhako (jānakar) isaprakār tīn liṅgoṅke dvārā (tīn prakārake mohako) pahichānakar tatkāl hī utpanna hote hī tīno prakārakā moh naṣhṭa kar dene yogya hai .

bhāvārtha :mohake tīn bhed haindarshanamoh, rāg aur dveṣh . padārthoṅke svarūpase viparīt mānyatā tathā tiryañchon aur manuṣhyoṅke prati tanmayatāse karuṇābhāv ve darshanamohake chihna hain, iṣhṭa viṣhayommen prīti rāgakā chihna hai aur aniṣhṭa viṣhayommen aprīti dveṣhakā chihna hai . in chihna onse tīnon prakārake mohako pahichānakar mumukṣhuoṅko use tatkāl hī naṣhṭa kar denā chāhiye ..85..

ab mohakṣhay karanekā upāyāntar (-dūsarā upāy) vichārate hain : 1. padārthoṅkī ayathātathyarūp pratipatti = padārtha jaise nahīn hai unhen vaisā samajhanā arthāt unhen anyathā svarūpase

aṅgīkār karanā . 2. prekṣhāyogya = mātra prekṣhakabhāvase -dr̥uṣhṭāgnātārūpase -madhyasthabhāvase dekhane yogya .

shāstro vaḍe pratyakṣhaādithī jāṇato je artha ne, tasu moh pāme nāsh nishchay; shāstra samadhyayanīy chhe. 86.

yatkil dravyaguṇaparyāyasvabhāvenārhato gnānādātmanastathāgnānan mohakṣhapaṇopāyatven prāk pratipannan, tat khalūpāyāntaramidamapekṣhate . idan hi vihitaprathamabhūmikāsaṅkramaṇasya sarvagnopagna- tayā sarvato‘pyabādhitan shābdan pramāṇamākramya krīḍatastatsanskārasphu ṭīkr̥utavishiṣhṭasamvedan- shaktisampadaḥ sahr̥udayahr̥udayānandodbhedadāyinā pratyakṣheṇānyen vā tadavirodhinā pramāṇajāten rāgadveṣhau cha gnāyete vivekibhiḥ, tatastatparignānānantaramev nirvikārasvashuddhātmabhāvanayā rāgadveṣhamohā nihantavyā iti sūtrārthaḥ ..85.. ath dravyaguṇaparyāyaparignānābhāve moho bhavatīti yaduktan pūrvan tadarthamāgamābhyāsan kārayati . athavā dravyaguṇaparyāyatvairarhatparignānādātmaparignānan bhavatīti yaduktan tadātmaparignānamimamāgamābhyāsamapekṣhat iti pātanikādvayan manasi dhr̥utvā sūtramidan pratipādayati jiṇasatthādo aṭṭhe pachchakkhādīhin bujjhado ṇiyamā jinashāstrātsakāshāchchhuddhātmādipadārthān pratyakṣhādi-

anvayārtha :[jinashāstrāt ] jinashāstra dvārā [pratyakṣhādibhiḥ ] pratyakṣhādi pramāṇonse [arthān ] padārthoṅko [budhyamānasya ] jānanevāleke [niyamāt ] niyamase [mohopachayaḥ ] 1mohopachay [kṣhīyate ] kṣhay ho jātā hai [tasmāt ] isaliye [shāstran ] shāstrakā [samadhyetavyam ] samyak prakārase adhyayan karanā chāhiye ..86..

ṭīkā :dravya -guṇ -paryāyasvabhāvase arhantake gnān dvārā ātmākā us prakārakā gnān mohakṣhayake upāyake rūpamen pahale (80vīn gāthāmen) pratipādit kiyā gayā thā, vah vāstavamen is (nimnalikhit) upāyāntarakī apekṣhā rakhatā hai . (vah upāyāntar kyā hai so kahā jātā hai) :

jisane pratham bhūmikāmen gaman kiyā hai aise jīvako, jo 2sarvagnopagna honese sarva prakārase abādhit hai aise shābda pramāṇako (-dravya shrutapramāṇako) prāpta karake krīṛā karane par, usake sanskārase vishiṣhṭa 3samvedanashaktirūp sampadā pragaṭ karane par, 4sahr̥udayajanoṅke hr̥udayako ānandakā 5udbhed denevāle pratyakṣha pramāṇase athavā 6usase aviruddha anya pramāṇasamūhase 1. mohopachay = mohakā upachay . (upachay = sañchay; samūh) 2. sarvagnopagna = sarvagna dvārā svayam jānā huā (aur kahā huā) . 3. samvedan = gnān . 4. sahr̥uday = bhāvuk; shāstramen jis samay jis bhāvakā prasaṅg hoy us bhāvako hr̥udayamen grahaṇ karanevālā;
