dravyāṇi ca guṇāśca paryāyāśca abhidheyabhede‘pyabhidhānābheden arthāḥ . tatra guṇ-
paryāyāniyrati guṇaparyāyairaryanta iti vā arthā dravyāṇi, dravyāṇyāśrayatveneyrati dravyairāśray-
bhūtairaryanta iti vā arthā guṇāḥ, dravyāṇi kramapariṇāmeneyrati dravyaiḥ kramapariṇāmenāryanta iti
vā arthāḥ paryāyāḥ . yathā hi suvarṇaṁ pītatādīn guṇān kuṇḍalādīṁśca paryāyāniyarti tairaryamāṇaṁ
vā artho dravyasthānīyaṁ, yathā ca suvarṇamāśrayatveneyrati tenāśrayabhūtenāryamāṇā vā arthāḥ
ṭīkā : — dravya, guṇ aur paryāyoṁmeṁ abhidheyabhed hone par bhī abhidhānakā abhed
honese ve ‘artha’ haiṁ [arthāt dravyoṁ, guṇoṁ aur paryāyoṁmeṁ vācyakā bhed hone par bhī vācakameṁ
bhed na daṁkheṁ to ‘artha’ aise ek hī vācak (-śabda) se ye tīnoṁ pahicāne jāte haiṁ ] . usameṁ
(in dravyoṁ, guṇoṁ aur paryāyoṁmeṁse), jo guṇoṁko aur paryāyoṁko prāpta karate haiṁ — pahun̐cate haiṁ
athavā jo guṇoṁ aur paryāyoṁke dvārā prāpta kiye jāte hai — pahun̐ce jāte haiṁ aise 1‘artha’ ve dravya
haiṁ, jo dravyoṁko āśrayake rūpameṁ prāpta karate haiṁ — pahun̐cate haiṁ – athavā jo āśrayabhūt dravyoṁke dvārā
prāpta kiye jāte haiṁ — pahun̐ce jāte haiṁ aise ‘artha’ ve guṇ haiṁ, jo dravyoṁko kramapariṇāmase prāpta karate
— pahun̐cate haiṁ athavā jo dravyoṁke dvārā kramapariṇāmase (kramaśaḥ honevāle pariṇāmake kāraṇ)
prāpta kiye jāte haiṁ — pahun̐ce jāte haiṁ aise ‘artha’ ve paryāy hai .
jaise dravyasthānīy (-dravyake samān, dravyake dr̥ṣṭāntarūp) suvarṇa, pīlāpan ityādi
guṇoṁko aur kuṇḍal ityādi paryāyoṁko prāpta karatā hai – pahun̐catā hai athavā (suvarṇa) unake dvārā
(-pīlāpanādi guṇoṁ aur kuṇḍalādi paryāyoṁ dvārā) prāpta kiyā jātā hai — pahun̐cā jātā hai
isaliye dravyasthānīy suvarṇa ‘artha’ hai, jaise pīlāpan ityādi guṇ suvarṇako āśrayake rūpameṁ
prāpta karate haiṁ — pahun̐cate haiṁ athavā (ve) āśrayabhūt suvarṇake dvārā prāpta kiye jāte haiṁ — pahun̐ce
jāte haiṁ isaliye pīlāpan ityādi guṇ ‘artha’ haiṁ; aur jaise kuṇḍal ityādi paryāyeṁ suvarṇako

tathāhi — atraiv dehe niścayanayen śuddhabuddhaikasvabhāvaḥ paramātmāsti . kasmāddhetoḥ . nirvikārasvasaṁvedan-
pratyakṣatvāt sukhādivat iti, tathaivānye‘pi padārthā yathāsaṁbhavamāgamābhyāsabalotpannapratyakṣeṇānumānen vā
jñāyante . tato mokṣārthinā bhavyenāgamābhyāsaḥ kartavya iti tātparyam ..86.. ath dravyaguṇaparyāyā-
ṇāmarthasaṁjñāṁ kathayati — davvāṇi guṇā tesiṁ pajjāyā aṭṭhasaṇṇayā bhaṇiyā dravyāṇi guṇāsteṣāṁ dravyāṇāṁ
paryāyāśca trayo‘pyarthasaṁjñayā bhaṇitāḥ kathitā arthasaṁjñā bhavantītyarthaḥ . tesu teṣu triṣu dravyaguṇaparyāyeṣu
madhye guṇapajjayāṇaṁ appā guṇaparyāyāṇāṁ saṁbaṁdhī ātmā svabhāvaḥ . kaḥ iti pr̥ṣṭe . davva tti
uvadeso dravyamev svabhāv ityupadeśaḥ, athavā dravyasya kaḥ svabhāv iti pr̥ṣṭe guṇaparyāyāṇāmātmā
1. ‘r̥’ dhātumeṁse ‘artha’ śabda banā hai . ‘r̥’ arthāt pānā, prāpta karanā, pahun̐canā, jānā . ‘artha’ arthāt
(1) jo pāye – prāpta kare – pahun̐ce, athavā (2) jise pāyā jāye – prāpta kiyā jāye – pahun̐cā jāye .
