sataḥ sattāyāśca na tāvadyutasiddhatvenārthāntaratvaṁ, tayordaṇḍadaṇḍivadyutasiddhasyādarśanāt . ayut- siddhatvenāpi na tadupapadyate . ihedamiti pratīterupapadyat iti cet kiṁnibandhanā hīhedamiti pratītiḥ . bhedanibandhaneti cet ko nām bhedaḥ . prādeśik atādbhāviko vā . na tāvatprādeśikaḥ, pūrvamev yutasiddhatvasyāpasāraṇāt . atādbhāvikaścet upapanna ev, yad dravyaṁ tanna guṇ iti vacanāt . ayaṁ tu na khalvekāntenehedamiti pratīternibandhanaṁ, ev bhavati, na ca bhinnasattāsamavāyāt . athavā yathā dravyaṁ svabhāvataḥ siddhaṁ tathā tasya yo‘sau sattāguṇaḥ so‘pi svabhāvasiddha ev . kasmāditi cet . sattādravyayoḥ saṁjñālakṣaṇaprayojanādibhede‘pi daṇḍadaṇḍivadbhinnapradeśābhāvāt . idaṁ ke kathitavantaḥ . jiṇā taccado samakkhādā jināḥ kartāraḥ tattvataḥ samyagākhyātavantaḥ kathitavantaḥ siddhaṁ tah āgamado santānāpekṣayā dravyārthikanayenānādinidhanāgamādapi tathā siddhaṁ ṇecchadi jo so hi parasamao necchati na manyate ya idaṁ vastusvarūpaṁ sa hi sphu ṭaṁ parasamayo

pratham to 1satse 2sattākī 3yutasiddhatāse arthāntaratva nahīṁ hai, kyoṁki daṇḍa aur daṇḍīkī bhān̐ti unake sambandhameṁ yutasiddhatā dikhāī nahīṁ detī . (dūsare) ayutasiddhatāse bhī vah (arthāntaratva) nahīṁ banatā . ‘isameṁ yah hai (arthāt dravyameṁ sattā hai)’ aisī pratīti hotī hai isaliye vah ban sakatā hai, aisā kahā jāy to (pūchate haiṁ ki) ‘isameṁ yah hai’ aisī pratīti kisake āśray (-kāraṇ) se hotī hai ? yadi aisā kahā jāy ki bhedake āśrayase (arthāt dravya aur sattāmeṁ bhed honese) hotī hai to, vah kaunasā bhed hai ? prādeśik yā atādbhāvik ? 4prādeśik to hai nahīṁ, kyoṁki yutasiddhatva pahale hī radda (naṣṭa, nirarthak) kar diyā gayā hai, aur yadi hai ki ‘jo dravya hai vah guṇ nahīṁ hai .’ parantu (yahān̐ bhī yah dhyānameṁ rakhanā ki) yah atādbhāvik bhed ‘ekāntase isameṁ yah hai’ aisī pratītikā āśray (kāraṇ) nahīṁ hai, kyoṁki vah

5atādbhāvik kahā jāy to vah upapanna hī (ṭhīk hī) hai, kyoṁki aisā (śāstrakā) vacan

1. sat = astitvavān arthāt dravya .2. sattā = astitva (guṇ) .

3. yutasiddha = juṛakar siddha huā; samavāyasesaṁyogase siddha huā . [jaise lāṭhī aur manuṣyake bhinna hone par bhī lāṭhīke yogase manuṣya ‘lāṭhīvālā’ hotā hai, isīprakār sattā aur dravyake alag hone par bhī
sattāke yogase dravya ‘sattāvālā’ (‘sat’) huā hai aisā nahīṁ hai
. lāṭhī aur manuṣyakī bhān̐ti sattā aur dravya alag dikhāī hī nahīṁ dete . isaprakār ‘lāṭhī’ aur lāṭhīvāle’ kī bhān̐ti ‘sattā’ aur ‘sat’ke saṁbaṁdhameṁ yutasiddhatā nahīṁ hai . ]

4. dravya aur sattāmeṁ pradeśabhed nahīṁ hai; kyoṁki pradeśabhed ho to yutasiddhatva āye, jisako pahale hī radda karake batāyā hai .

5. dravya vah guṇ nahīṁ hai aur guṇ vah dravya nahīṁ hai,aise dravya -guṇake bhedako (guṇ -guṇī -bhedako) atādbhāvik (tadrūp na honerūp) bhed kahate haiṁ . yadi dravya aur sattāmeṁ aisā bhed kahā jāy to vah yogya hī hai .
