ekasmindravye yad dravyaṁ guṇo na tadbhavati, yo guṇaḥ sa dravyaṁ na bhavatītyevaṁ yad dravyasya guṇarūpeṇ guṇasya vā dravyarūpeṇ tenābhavanaṁ so‘tadbhāvaḥ, etāvataivānyatvavyavahārasiddheḥ . na punardravyasyābhāvo guṇo guṇasyābhāvo dravyamityevaṁlakṣaṇo‘bhāvo‘tadbhāvaḥ . evaṁ satyekadravya- syānekatvamubhayaśūnyatvamapoharūpatvaṁ vā syāt . tathā hi — yathā khalu cetanadravyasyābhāvo- ‘cetanadravyamacetanadravyasyābhāvaścetanadravyamiti tayoranekatvaṁ, tathā dravyasyābhāvo guṇo guṇasyābhāvo dravyamityekasyāpi dravyasyānekatvaṁ syāt . yathā suvarṇasyābhāve suvarṇatvasyā- bhāvaḥ suvarṇatvasyābhāve suvarṇasyābhāv ityubhayaśūnyatvaṁ, tathā dravyasyābhāve guṇasyābhāvo yo‘pi guṇaḥ sa na tattvaṁ dravyamarthataḥ paramārthataḥ, yaḥ śuddhasattāguṇaḥ sa muktātmadravyaṁ na bhavati . śuddhasattāśabden muktātmadravyaṁ vācyaṁ na bhavatītyarthaḥ . eso hi atabbhāvo eṣ uktalakṣaṇo hi sphu ṭamatadbhāvaḥ . uktalakṣaṇ iti ko‘rthaḥ . guṇaguṇinoḥ saṁjñādibhede‘pi pradeśabhedābhāvaḥ . ṇev abhāvo tti ṇiddiṭṭho naivābhāv iti nirdiṣṭaḥ . naiv abhāv iti ko‘rthaḥ . yathā sattāvācakaśabden muktātma- dravyaṁ vācyaṁ na bhavati tathā yadi sattāpradeśairapi sattāguṇātsakāśādbhinnaṁ bhavati tadā yathā
ṭīkā : — ek dravyameṁ, jo dravya hai vah guṇ nahīṁ hai, jo guṇ hai vah dravya nahīṁ hai; — isaprakār jo dravyakā guṇarūpase abhavan (-na honā) athavā guṇakā dravyarūpase abhavan vah atadbhāv hai; kyoṁki itanese hī anyatvavyavahār (-anyatvarūp vyavahār) siddha hotā hai . parantu dravyakā abhāv guṇ hai, guṇakā abhāv dravya hai; — aise lakṣaṇavālā abhāv vah atadbhāv nahīṁ hai . yadi aisā ho to (1) ek dravyako anekatva ā jāyagā, (2) ubhayaśūnyatā (donoṁkā abhāv) ho jāyagī, athavā (3) apoharūpatā ā jāyagī . isī ko samajhāte haiṁ : —
(dravyakā abhāv vah guṇ hai aur guṇakā abhāv vah dravya; vah aisā mānane par pratham doṣ is prakār āyagā : — )
(1) jaise cetanadravyakā abhāv vah acetan dravya hai, acetanadravyakā abhāv vah cetanadravya hai, — isaprakār unake anekatva (dvitva) hai, usīprakār dravyakā abhāv vah guṇ, guṇakā abhāv vah dravya — isaprakār ek dravyake bhī anekatva ā jāyagā .
