paramaḥ nīrāgaparamātmopalambhapariṇatirūpaḥ āgamabhāṣayā paramayathākhyātacāritrarūpo vā yo‘sau paramo dharmaḥ, sa kevalajñānādyanantacatuṣṭayavyaktirūpasya kāryasamayasārasyotpādakatvātsaphalo‘pi naranārakādi- paryāyakāraṇabhūtaṁ jñānāvaraṇādikarmabandhaṁ notpādayati, tataḥ kāraṇānniṣphalaḥ . tato jñāyate naranārakādisaṁsārakāryaṁ mithyātvarāgādikriyāyāḥ phalamiti . athavāsya sūtrasya dvitīyavyākhyānaṁ kriyate — yathā śuddhanayen rāgādivibhāven na pariṇamatyayaṁ jīvastathaivāśuddhanayenāpi na pariṇamatīti yaduktaṁ sāṁkhyen tannirākr̥tam . kathamiti cet . aśuddhanayen mithyātvarāgādivibhāvapariṇat- jīvānāṁ naranārakādiparyāyapariṇatidarśanāditi . evaṁ prathamasthale sūtragāthā gatā ..116.. ath manuṣyādikāryakī niṣpādak honese saphal hī hai; aur, jaise dūsare aṇuke sāth saṁbaṁdh jisakā naṣṭa ho gayā hai aise aṇukī pariṇati dviaṇuk kāryakī niṣpādak nahīṁ hai usīprakār, mohake sāth milanakā nāś hone par vahī kriyā — dravyakī paramasvabhāvabhūt honese ‘paramadharma’ nāmase kahī jānevālī aisī — manuṣyādikāryakī niṣpādak na honese aphal hī hai .
bhāvārtha : — caitanyapariṇati vah ātmākī kriyā hai . moh rahit kriyā manuṣyādi- paryāyarūp phal utpanna nahīṁ karatī, aur moh sahit 1kriyā avaśya manuṣyādiparyāyarūp phal utpanna karatī hai . moh sahit bhāv ek prakārake nahīṁ hote, isaliye usake phalarūp manuṣyādiparyāyeṁ bhī ṭaṁkotkīrṇa – śāśvat – ekarūp nahīṁ hotīṁ .. 116..

nāmākhya karma svabhāvathī nij jīvadravya -svabhāvane abhibhūt karī tiryaṁc, dev, manuṣya vā nārak kare. 117.
