krameṇ . yaugapadyen cet, nāsti yaugapadyaṁ, samamekasya viruddhadharmayoranavatārāt . krameṇ cet, nāsti kramaḥ, vr̥ttyaṁśasya sūkṣmatven vibhāgābhāvāt . tato vr̥ttimān ko‘pyavaśyamanusartavyaḥ . sa ca samayapadārtha ev . tasya khalvekasminnapi vr̥ttyaṁśe samutpādapradhvaṁsau saṁbhavataḥ . yo hi yasya vr̥ttimato yasmin vr̥ttyaṁśe tadvr̥tyaṁśaviśiṣṭatvenotpādaḥ, sa ev tasyaiv vr̥ttimatastasminnev vr̥ttyaṁśe pūrvavr̥ttyaṁśaviśiṣṭatven pradhvaṁsaḥ . yadyevamutpādavyayāvekasminnapi vr̥ttyaṁśe saṁbhavataḥ samayapadārthasya kathaṁ nām niranvayatvaṁ, yataḥ pūrvottaravr̥ttyaṁśaviśiṣṭatvābhyāṁ yugapadupāttapradhvaṁsotpādasyāpi svabhāvenāpradhvastānutpannatvādavasthitatvamev na bhavet . evamekasmin vr̥ttyaṁśe samayapadārtha- trayātmakaḥ svabhāvaḥ sattāstitvamiti yāvat . tatra samyagavasthitaḥ svabhāvasamavasthito bhavati . tathāhitathāhi – yathāṅgulidravye yasminnev vartamānakṣaṇe vakraparyāyasyotpādastasminnev kṣaṇe tasyaivāṅgulidravyasya pūrvarjuparyāyeṇ pradhvaṁsastadādhārabhūtāṅgulidravyatven dhrauvyamiti dravyasiddhiḥ . athavā svasvabhāvarūp- sukhenotpādastasminnev kṣaṇe tasyaivātmadravyasya pūrvānubhūtākulatvaduḥkharūpeṇ pradhvaṁsastadubhayādhārabhūt- paramātmadravyatven dhrauvyamiti dravyasiddhiḥ . athavā mokṣaparyāyarūpeṇotpādastasminnev kṣaṇe ratnatrayātmak- niścayamokṣamārgaparyāyarūpeṇ pradhvaṁsastadubhayādhāraparamātmadravyatven dhrauvyamiti dravyasiddhiḥ . tathā vartamānasamayarūpaparyāyeṇotpādastasminnev kṣaṇe tasyaiv kālāṇudravyasya pūrvasamayarūpaparyāyeṇ pradhvaṁsasta- (utpād tathā vināś) yugapad haiṁ yā (2) kramaśaḥ ? (1) yadi ‘yugapat’ kahā jāy to yugapatpanā ghaṭit nahīṁ hotā, kyoṁki ek hī samay ekake do virodhī dharma nahīṁ hote . (ek hī samay ek vr̥ttyaṁśake prakāś aur andhakārakī bhān̐ti utpād aur vināś do viruddha dharma nahīṁ hote .) (2) yadi ‘kramaśaḥ hai’ aisā kahā jāy to, kram nahīṁ banatā, (arthāt kram bhī ghaṭatā nahīṁ) kyoṁki vr̥ttyaṁśake sūkṣma honese usameṁ vibhāgakā abhāv hai . isaliye (samayarūpī vr̥ttyaṁśake utpād tathā vināś honā aśakya honese) koī 1vr̥ttimān avaśya ḍhūn̐rḥanā cāhiye . aur vah (vr̥ttimān) kāl padārtha hī hai . usako (-us kālapadārthako) vāstavameṁ ek vr̥ttyaṁśameṁ bhī utpād aur vināś saṁbhav hai; kyoṁki jis vr̥ttimānke jis vr̥ttyaṁśameṁ us vr̥ttyaṁśakī apekṣāse jo utpād hai, vahī (utpād) usī vr̥ttimānke usī vr̥ttyaṁśameṁ pūrva vr̥ttyaṁśakī apekṣāse vināś hai . (arthāt kālapadārthako jis vartamān paryāyakī apekṣāse utpād hai, vahī pūrva paryāyakī apekṣāse vināś hai .)
yadi isaprakār utpād aur vināś ek vr̥ttyaṁśameṁ bhī saṁbhavit hai, to kālapadārtha niranvay kaise ho sakatā hai, ki jisase pūrva aur paścāt vr̥ttyaṁśakī apekṣāse yugapat vināś aur utpādako prāpta hotā huā bhī svabhāvase avinaṣṭa aur anutpanna honese vah (kāl padārtha)
