na khalu bahiraṁsaṁgadbhāve tuṣasadbhāve taṇḍulagatāśuddhatvasyevāśuddhopayogarūp- syāntaraṁgacchedasya pratiṣedhaḥ, tadbhāve ca na śuddhopayogamūlasya kaivalyasyopalambhaḥ . ato‘śuddhop- niravadyāhārādisahakārikāraṇaṁ grāhyamiti punarapyapavādaviśeṣavyākhyānamukhyatven ‘uvayaraṇaṁ jiṇamagge’ ityādyekādaśagāthā bhavanti . atra ṭīkāyāṁ gāthācatuṣṭayaṁ nāsti . evaṁ mūlasūtrābhiprāyeṇ triṁśadgāthābhiḥ, ṭīkāpekṣayā punardvādaśagāthābhiḥ dvitīyāntarādhikāre samudāyapātanikā . tathāhi — ath bhāvaśuddhi- pūrvakabahiraṅgaparigrahaparityāge kr̥te sati abhyantaraparigrahaparityāgaḥ kr̥t ev bhavatīti nirdiśati – ṇa hi ṇiravekkho cāgo na hi nirapekṣastyāgaḥ yadi cet, parigrahatyāgaḥ sarvathā nirapekṣo na bhavati kiṁtu kimapi vastrapātrādikaṁ grāhyamiti bhavatā bhaṇyate, tarhi he śiṣya ṇa havadi bhikkhussa āsayavisuddhī na bhavati bhikṣorāśayaviśuddhiḥ, tadā sāpekṣapariṇāme sati bhikṣostapodhanasya cittaśuddhirna bhavati . avisuddhasya hi citte śuddhātmabhāvanārūpaśuddhirahitasya tapodhanasya citte manasi hi sphuṭaṁ kahaṁ tu kammakkhao vihido kathaṁ tu karmakṣayo vihitaḥ ucito, na kathamapi . anenaitaduktaṁ bhavati — yathā bahiraṅgatuṣasadbhāve sati taṇḍulasyābhyantaraśuddhiṁ kartuṁ nāyāti tathā vidyamāne vā bahiraṅgapari- grahābhilāṣe sati nirmalaśuddhātmānubhūtirūpāṁ cittaśuddhiṁ kartuṁ nāyāti . yadi punarviśiṣṭavairāgya-
ab, is upadhi (parigrah) kā niṣedh vah aṁtaraṁg chedakā hī niṣedh hai, aisā upadeś karate haiṁ : —
anvayārtha : — [nirapekṣaḥ tyāgaḥ na hi ] yadi nirapekṣa (kisī bhī vastukī apekṣārahit) tyāg na ho to [bhikṣoḥ ] bhikṣuke [āśayaviśuddhiḥ ] bhāvakī viśuddhi [na bhavati ] nahīṁ hotī; [ca ] aur [citte aviśuddhasya ] jo bhāvameṁ aviśuddha hai usake [karmakṣayaḥ ] karmakṣay [kathaṁ nu ] kaise [vihitaḥ ] ho sakatā hai ?..220..
ṭīkā : — jaise chilakeke sadbhāvameṁ cāvaloṁme pāī jānevālī (raktatārūp) aśuddhatākā tyāg (-nāś, abhāv) nahīṁ hotā, usīprakār bahiraṁg saṁgake sadbhāvameṁ
