svarūpe caraṇaṁ cāritraṁ, svasamayapravr̥ttirityarthaḥ . tadev vastusvabhāvatvāddharmaḥ . śuddha- caitanyaprakāśanamityarthaḥ . tadev ca yathāvasthitātmaguṇatvātsāmyam . sāmyaṁ tu darśanacāritra – mohanīyodayāpāditasamastamohakṣobhābhāvādatyantanirvikāro jīvasya pariṇāmaḥ ..7.. vasthānaṁ tallakṣaṇaniścayacāritrājjīvasya samutpadyate . kim . parādhīnendriyajanitajñānasukhavilakṣaṇaṁ, svādhīnātīndriyarūpaparamajñānasukhalakṣaṇaṁ nirvāṇam . sarāgacāritrātpunardevāsuramanuṣyarājavibhūtijanako mukhyavr̥ttyā viśiṣṭapuṇyabandho bhavati, paramparayā nirvāṇaṁ ceti . asureṣu madhye samyagdr̥ṣṭiḥ kathamutpadyate iti cet – nidānabandhen samyaktvavirādhanāṁ kr̥tvā tatrotpadyat iti jñātavyam . atra niścayen vītarāgacāritramupādeyaṁ sarāgaṁ heyamiti bhāvārthaḥ ..6.. ath niścayacāritrasya paryāyanāmāni kathayāmītyabhiprāyaṁ manasi saṁpradhārya sūtramiṁd nirūpayati, evamagre‘pi vivakṣitasūtrārthaṁ manasi dhr̥tvāthavāsya sūtrasyāgre sūtramidamucitaṁ bhavatyevaṁ niścitya sūtramidaṁ pratipādayatīti pātanikālakṣaṇaṁ yathāsaṁbhavaṁ sarvatra jñātavyam --cārittaṁ cāritraṁ kartr̥ khalu dhammo khalu sphu ṭaṁ dharmo bhavati . dhammo jo so samo tti ṇiddiṭṭho dharmo yaḥ sa tu śam iti nirdiṣṭaḥ . samo yastu śamaḥ saḥ mohakkhohavihīṇo pariṇāmo appaṇo
anvayārtha : — [cāritraṁ ] cāritra [khalu ] vāstavameṁ [dharmaḥ ] dharma hai . [yaḥ dharmaḥ ] jo dharma hai [tat sāmyam ] vah sāmya hai [iti nirdiṣṭam ] aisā (śāstroṁmeṁ) kahā hai . [sāmyaṁ hi ] sāmya [mohakṣobhavihīnaḥ ] mokṣakṣobharahit aisā [ātmanaḥpariṇāmaḥ ] ātmākā pariṇām (bhāv) hai ..7..
ṭīkā : — svarūpameṁ caraṇ karanā ( – ramanā) so cāritra hai . svasamayameṁ pravr̥tti karanā (apane svabhāvameṁ pravr̥tti karanā) aisā isakā artha hai . yahī vastukā svabhāv honese dharma hai . śuddha caitanyakā prakāś karanā yah isakā artha hai . vahī yathāvasthit ātmaguṇ honese (viṣamatārahit susthit ātmākā guṇ honese) sāmya hai . aur sāmya, darśanamohanīy tathā cāritramohanīyake udayase utpanna honevāle samasta moh aur kṣobhake abhāvake kāraṇ atyanta nirvikār aisā jīvakā pariṇām hai .
bhāvārtha : — śuddha ātmāke śraddhānarūp samyaktvase viruddha bhāv (mithyātva) vah moh hai aur nirvikār niścal caitanyapariṇatirūp cāritrase viruddha bhāv (asthiratā) vah kṣobh hai . moh aur kṣobh rahit pariṇām, sāmya, dharma aur cāritra yah sab paryāyavācī haiṁ ..7..
