dravyāṇi cha guṇāshcha paryāyāshcha abhidheyabhede‘pyabhidhānābheden arthāḥ . tatra guṇ-
paryāyāniyrati guṇaparyāyairaryanta iti vā arthā dravyāṇi, dravyāṇyāshrayatveneyrati dravyairāshray-
bhūtairaryanta iti vā arthā guṇāḥ, dravyāṇi kramapariṇāmeneyrati dravyaiḥ kramapariṇāmenāryanta iti
vā arthāḥ paryāyāḥ . yathā hi suvarṇan pītatādīn guṇān kuṇḍalādīnshcha paryāyāniyarti tairaryamāṇan
vā artho dravyasthānīyan, yathā cha suvarṇamāshrayatveneyrati tenāshrayabhūtenāryamāṇā vā arthāḥ
ṭīkā : — dravya, guṇ aur paryāyommen abhidheyabhed hone par bhī abhidhānakā abhed
honese ve ‘artha’ hain [arthāt dravyon, guṇon aur paryāyommen vāchyakā bhed hone par bhī vāchakamen
bhed na daṅkhen to ‘artha’ aise ek hī vāchak (-shabda) se ye tīnon pahichāne jāte hain ] . usamen
(in dravyon, guṇon aur paryāyommense), jo guṇoṅko aur paryāyoṅko prāpta karate hain — pahun̐chate hain
athavā jo guṇon aur paryāyoṅke dvārā prāpta kiye jāte hai — pahun̐che jāte hain aise 1‘artha’ ve dravya
hain, jo dravyoṅko āshrayake rūpamen prāpta karate hain — pahun̐chate hain – athavā jo āshrayabhūt dravyoṅke dvārā
prāpta kiye jāte hain — pahun̐che jāte hain aise ‘artha’ ve guṇ hain, jo dravyoṅko kramapariṇāmase prāpta karate
— pahun̐chate hain athavā jo dravyoṅke dvārā kramapariṇāmase (kramashaḥ honevāle pariṇāmake kāraṇ)
prāpta kiye jāte hain — pahun̐che jāte hain aise ‘artha’ ve paryāy hai .
jaise dravyasthānīy (-dravyake samān, dravyake dr̥uṣhṭāntarūp) suvarṇa, pīlāpan ityādi
guṇoṅko aur kuṇḍal ityādi paryāyoṅko prāpta karatā hai – pahun̐chatā hai athavā (suvarṇa) unake dvārā
(-pīlāpanādi guṇon aur kuṇḍalādi paryāyon dvārā) prāpta kiyā jātā hai — pahun̐chā jātā hai
isaliye dravyasthānīy suvarṇa ‘artha’ hai, jaise pīlāpan ityādi guṇ suvarṇako āshrayake rūpamen
prāpta karate hain — pahun̐chate hain athavā (ve) āshrayabhūt suvarṇake dvārā prāpta kiye jāte hain — pahun̐che
jāte hain isaliye pīlāpan ityādi guṇ ‘artha’ hain; aur jaise kuṇḍal ityādi paryāyen suvarṇako
kahānajainashāstramālā ]

tathāhi — atraiv dehe nishchayanayen shuddhabuddhaikasvabhāvaḥ paramātmāsti . kasmāddhetoḥ . nirvikārasvasamvedan-
pratyakṣhatvāt sukhādivat iti, tathaivānye‘pi padārthā yathāsambhavamāgamābhyāsabalotpannapratyakṣheṇānumānen vā
gnāyante . tato mokṣhārthinā bhavyenāgamābhyāsaḥ kartavya iti tātparyam ..86.. ath dravyaguṇaparyāyā-
ṇāmarthasañgnān kathayati — davvāṇi guṇā tesin pajjāyā aṭṭhasaṇṇayā bhaṇiyā dravyāṇi guṇāsteṣhān dravyāṇān
paryāyāshcha trayo‘pyarthasañgnayā bhaṇitāḥ kathitā arthasañgnā bhavantītyarthaḥ . tesu teṣhu triṣhu dravyaguṇaparyāyeṣhu
madhye guṇapajjayāṇan appā guṇaparyāyāṇān sambandhī ātmā svabhāvaḥ . kaḥ iti pr̥uṣhṭe . davva tti
uvadeso dravyamev svabhāv ityupadeshaḥ, athavā dravyasya kaḥ svabhāv iti pr̥uṣhṭe guṇaparyāyāṇāmātmā
1. ‘r̥u’ dhātumense ‘artha’ shabda banā hai . ‘r̥u’ arthāt pānā, prāpta karanā, pahun̐chanā, jānā . ‘artha’ arthāt
(1) jo pāye – prāpta kare – pahun̐che, athavā (2) jise pāyā jāye – prāpta kiyā jāye – pahun̐chā jāye .
