sarvathaikatvan na shaṅk nīyan; tadbhāvo hyekatvasya lakṣhaṇam . yattu na tadbhavadvibhāvyate tatkathamekan
syāt . api tu guṇaguṇirūpeṇānekamevetyarthaḥ ..106..
athātadbhāvamudāhr̥utya prathayati —
saddavvan sachcha guṇo sachchev ya pajjao tti vitthāro .
jo khalu tassa abhāvo so tadabhāvo atabbhāvo ..107..
sarvadravyāṇān svakīyasvakīyasvarūpāstitvaguṇen sah gnātavyamityarthaḥ ..106.. athātadbhāvan visheṣheṇ

ekatva hogā aisī shaṅkā nahīn karanī chāhiye; kyoṅki tadbhāv ekatvakā lakṣhaṇ hai . jo
usarūp gnāt nahīn hotā vah (sarvathā) ek kaise ho sakatā hai ? nahīn ho sakatā; parantu guṇ-
guṇī -rūpase anek hī hai, aisā artha hai .
bhāvārtha : — bhinnapradeshatva vah pr̥uthaktvakā lakṣhaṇ hai, aur atadbhāv vah anyatvakā
lakṣhaṇ hai . dravyamen aur guṇamen pr̥uthaktva nahīn hai phi ra bhī anyatva hai .
prashna : — jo apr̥uthak hote hain unamen anyatva kaise ho sakatā hai ?
uttar : — unamen vastra aur shubhratā (saphe dī) kī bhān̐ti anyatva ho sakatā hai . vastrake
aur usakī shubhratāke pradesh bhinna nahīn hain, isaliye unamen pr̥uthaktva nahīn hai . aisā hone par bhī
shubhratā to mātra ān̐khonse hī dikhāī detī hai, jībh, nāk ādi sheṣh chār indriyonse gnāt nahīn
hotī . aur vastra pān̐chon indriyonse gnāt hotā hai . isaliye (kathañchit) vastra vah shubhratā nahīn
hai aur shubhratā vah vastra nahīn hai . yadi aisā na ho to vastrakī bhān̐ti shubhratā bhī jībh, nāk
ityādi sarva indriyonse gnāt honā chāhiye . kintu aisā nahīn hotā . isaliye vastra aur shubhratāmen
apr̥uthaktva hone par bhī anyatva hai yah siddha hotā hai .
isīprakār dravyamen aur sattādi guṇommen apr̥uthaktva hone par bhī anyatva hai; kyoṅki dravyake
aur guṇake pradesh abhinna hone par bhī dravyamen aur guṇamen sañgnā -saṅkhyā -lakṣhaṇādi bhed honese
(kathañchit) dravya guṇarūp nahīn hai aur guṇ vah dravyarūp nahīn hai ..106..
ab, atadbhāvako udāharaṇ dvārā spaṣhṭarūpase batalāte hain : —
‘sat dravya’, ‘sat paryāy,’ ‘sat guṇ’ — sattvano vistār chhe;
nathī te -paṇe anyonya teh atatpaṇun gnātavya chhe. 107.
