krameṇ . yaugapadyen chet, nāsti yaugapadyan, samamekasya viruddhadharmayoranavatārāt . krameṇ chet, nāsti kramaḥ, vr̥uttyanshasya sūkṣhmatven vibhāgābhāvāt . tato vr̥uttimān ko‘pyavashyamanusartavyaḥ . sa cha samayapadārtha ev . tasya khalvekasminnapi vr̥uttyanshe samutpādapradhvansau sambhavataḥ . yo hi yasya vr̥uttimato yasmin vr̥uttyanshe tadvr̥utyanshavishiṣhṭatvenotpādaḥ, sa ev tasyaiv vr̥uttimatastasminnev vr̥uttyanshe pūrvavr̥uttyanshavishiṣhṭatven pradhvansaḥ . yadyevamutpādavyayāvekasminnapi vr̥uttyanshe sambhavataḥ samayapadārthasya kathan nām niranvayatvan, yataḥ pūrvottaravr̥uttyanshavishiṣhṭatvābhyān yugapadupāttapradhvansotpādasyāpi svabhāvenāpradhvastānutpannatvādavasthitatvamev na bhavet . evamekasmin vr̥uttyanshe samayapadārtha- trayātmakaḥ svabhāvaḥ sattāstitvamiti yāvat . tatra samyagavasthitaḥ svabhāvasamavasthito bhavati . tathāhitathāhi – yathāṅgulidravye yasminnev vartamānakṣhaṇe vakraparyāyasyotpādastasminnev kṣhaṇe tasyaivāṅgulidravyasya pūrvarjuparyāyeṇ pradhvansastadādhārabhūtāṅgulidravyatven dhrauvyamiti dravyasiddhiḥ . athavā svasvabhāvarūp- sukhenotpādastasminnev kṣhaṇe tasyaivātmadravyasya pūrvānubhūtākulatvaduḥkharūpeṇ pradhvansastadubhayādhārabhūt- paramātmadravyatven dhrauvyamiti dravyasiddhiḥ . athavā mokṣhaparyāyarūpeṇotpādastasminnev kṣhaṇe ratnatrayātmak- nishchayamokṣhamārgaparyāyarūpeṇ pradhvansastadubhayādhāraparamātmadravyatven dhrauvyamiti dravyasiddhiḥ . tathā vartamānasamayarūpaparyāyeṇotpādastasminnev kṣhaṇe tasyaiv kālāṇudravyasya pūrvasamayarūpaparyāyeṇ pradhvansasta- (utpād tathā vināsh) yugapad hain yā (2) kramashaḥ ? (1) yadi ‘yugapat’ kahā jāy to yugapatpanā ghaṭit nahīn hotā, kyoṅki ek hī samay ekake do virodhī dharma nahīn hote . (ek hī samay ek vr̥uttyanshake prakāsh aur andhakārakī bhān̐ti utpād aur vināsh do viruddha dharma nahīn hote .) (2) yadi ‘kramashaḥ hai’ aisā kahā jāy to, kram nahīn banatā, (arthāt kram bhī ghaṭatā nahīn) kyoṅki vr̥uttyanshake sūkṣhma honese usamen vibhāgakā abhāv hai . isaliye (samayarūpī vr̥uttyanshake utpād tathā vināsh honā ashakya honese) koī 1vr̥uttimān avashya ḍhūn̐rḥanā chāhiye . aur vah (vr̥uttimān) kāl padārtha hī hai . usako (-us kālapadārthako) vāstavamen ek vr̥uttyanshamen bhī utpād aur vināsh sambhav hai; kyoṅki jis vr̥uttimānke jis vr̥uttyanshamen us vr̥uttyanshakī apekṣhāse jo utpād hai, vahī (utpād) usī vr̥uttimānke usī vr̥uttyanshamen pūrva vr̥uttyanshakī apekṣhāse vināsh hai . (arthāt kālapadārthako jis vartamān paryāyakī apekṣhāse utpād hai, vahī pūrva paryāyakī apekṣhāse vināsh hai .)
yadi isaprakār utpād aur vināsh ek vr̥uttyanshamen bhī sambhavit hai, to kālapadārtha niranvay kaise ho sakatā hai, ki jisase pūrva aur pashchāt vr̥uttyanshakī apekṣhāse yugapat vināsh aur utpādako prāpta hotā huā bhī svabhāvase avinaṣhṭa aur anutpanna honese vah (kāl padārtha)
