yo hi pareṣhān shuddhātmavr̥uttitrāṇābhiprāyeṇ vaiyāvr̥uttyapravr̥uttyā svasya sanyaman virādhayati, sa gr̥uhasthadharmānupraveshāt shrāmaṇyāt prachyavate . ato yā kāchan pravr̥uttiḥ sā sarvathā sanyamāvirodhenaiv vidhātavyā; pravr̥uttāvapi sanyamasyaiv sādhyatvāt ..250.. kuṇadi kāyakhedan vejjāvachchatthamujjado yadi chet karoti kāyakhedan ṣhaṭakāyavirādhanām . kathambhūtaḥ san . vaiyāvr̥uttyārthamudyataḥ . samaṇo ṇa havadi tadā shramaṇastapodhano na bhavati . tarhi kin bhavati . havadi agārī agārī gr̥uhastho bhavati . kasmāt . dhammo so sāvayāṇan se ṣhaṭakāyavirādhanān kr̥utvā yo‘sau dharmaḥ sa shrāvakāṇān syāt, na cha tapodhanānāmiti . idamatra tātparyam – yo‘sau svasharīrapoṣhaṇārthan shiṣhyādimohen vā sāvadyan nechchhati tasyedan vyākhyānan shobhate, yadi punaranyatra sāvadyamichchhati vaiyāvr̥uttyādisvakīyāv- sthāyogye dharmakārye nechchhati tadā tasya samyaktvamev nāstīti ..250.. ath yadyapyalpalepo bhavati
ab, pravr̥utti sanyamakī virodhī honekā niṣhedh karate hain (arthāt shubhopayogī shramaṇake sanyamake sāth virodhavālī pravr̥utti nahīn honī chāhiye – aisā kahate hain ) : —
anvayārtha : — [yadi ] yadi (shramaṇ) [vaiyāvr̥utyartham udyataḥ ] vaiyāvr̥uttike liye udyamī vartatā huā [kāyakhedan ] chhah kāyako pīṛit [karoti ] karatā hai to vah [shramaṇaḥ na bhavati ] shramaṇ nahīn hai, [agārī bhavati ] gr̥uhastha hai; (kyoṅki) [saḥ ] vah (chhah kāyakī virādhanā sahit vaiyāvr̥utti) [shrāvakāṇān dharmaḥ syāt ] shrāvakoṅkā dharma hai ..250..
ṭīkā : — jo (shramaṇ) dūsareke shuddhātmapariṇatikī rakṣhā ho aise abhiprāyase vaiyāvr̥utyakī pravr̥utti karatā huā apane sanyamakī virādhanā karatā hai, vah gr̥uhasthadharmamen pravesh kar rahā honese shrāmaṇyase chyut hotā hai . isase (aisā kahā hai ki) jo bhī pravr̥utti ho vah sarvathā sanyamake sāth virodh na āye isaprakār hī karanī chāhiye, kyoṅki pravr̥uttimen bhī sanyam hī sādhya hai .
