sokkhan vā puṇ dukkhan kevalaṇāṇissa ṇatthi dehagadan .
jamhā adindiyattan jādan tamhā du tan ṇeyan ..20.. nāsti . kathambhūtam . dehagadan dehagatan dehādhārajihvendriyādisamutpannan kavalāhārādisukham, asātodayajanitan kṣhudhādiduḥkhan cha . kasmānnāsti . jamhā adindiyattan jādan yasmānmohādighātikarmābhāve pañchendriy- viṣhayavyāpārarahitatvan jātam . tamhā du tan ṇeyan tasmādatīndriyatvāddhetoratīndriyamev tajgnānan sukhan cha gneyamiti . tadyathā — lohapiṇḍasansargābhāvādagniryathā ghanaghātapiṭṭanan na labhate tathāyamātmāpi lohapiṇḍa- sthānīyendriyagrāmābhāvāt sānsārikasukhaduḥkhan nānubhavatītyarthaḥ . kashchidāh – kevalinān bhuktirasti, audārikasharīrasadbhāvāt . asadvedyakarmodayasadbhāvādvā . asmadādivat . parihāramāh — tadbhagavataḥ sharīr- maudārikan na bhavati kintu paramaudārikam . tathā choktan – ‘‘shuddhaspha ṭikasaṅkāshan tejomūrtimayan vapuḥ . jāyate kṣhīṇadoṣhasya saptadhātuvivarjitam’’ .. yachchoktamasadvedyodayasadbhāvāttatra parihāramāh — yathā vrīhyādibījan jalasahakārikāraṇasahitamaṅkakakakakuuuuurādikāryan janayati tathaivāsadvedyakarma mohanīyasahakārikāraṇasahitan kṣhudhādi- kāryamutpādayati . ka smāt . ‘mohassa baleṇ ghādade jīvan’ iti vachanāt . yadi punarmohābhāve‘pi kṣhudhādiparīṣhahan janayati tarhi vadharogādiparīṣhahamapi janayatu, na cha tathā . tadapi kasmāt . ‘bhuktyupasargābhāvāt’ iti vachanāt . anyadapi dūṣhaṇamasti . yadi kṣhudhābādhāsti tarhi kṣhudhākṣhīṇashakteranantavīryan nāsti . tathaiv kṣhudhāduḥkhitasyānantasukhamapi nāsti . jihvendriyaparichchhitti- rūpamatignānapariṇatasya kevalagnānamapi na sambhavati . athavā anyadapi kāraṇamasti . asadvedyodayāpekṣhayā sadvedyodayo‘nantaguṇo‘sti . tataḥ kāraṇāt sharkarārāshimadhye nimbakaṇikāvadasadvedyodayo vidyamāno‘pi na gnāyate . tathaivānyadapi bādhakamasti — yathā pramattasanyatāditapodhanānān vedodaye vidyamāne‘pi mandamohodayatvādakhaṇḍabrahmachāriṇān strīparīṣhahabādhā nāsti, yathaiv cha navagraiveyakādyahamindradevānān
bhāvārtha : — ātmāko gnān aur sukharūp pariṇamit honemen indriyādik par nimittoṅkī āvashyak tā nahīn hai; kyoṅki jisakā lakṣhaṇ arthāt svarūp svaparaprakāshakatā hai aisā gnān aur jisakā lakṣhaṇ anākulatā hai aisā sukh ātmākā svabhāv hī hai ..19..
ab atīndriyatāke kāraṇ hī shuddha ātmāke (kevalī bhagavānake) shārīrik sukh duḥkh nahīn hai yah vyakta karate hain : —
kan̐ī dehagat nathī sukh ke nathī duḥkh kevaḷagnānīne, jethī atīndriyatā thaī te kāraṇe e jāṇaje.20.
