katakaphaḷ (nirmaḷī) nākhīne kādav ane jaḷane jādun jādun kare chhe. tyān nirmaḷ jaḷano svabhāv evo pragaṭ thāy chhe ke jemān potāno puruṣhākār pratibhāse chhe evā nirmaḷ jaḷano āsvād le chhe. tem ghaṇā agnānī jīvo karmanā sanyogathī jeno gnānasvabhāv ḍhaṅkāī gayo chhe evā ashuddha ātmāne anubhave chhe. koī potānī buddhi vaḍe shuddha nishchayanayanā svarūpane jāṇī karma ane ātmāne judā judā kare chhe. tyān nirmaḷ ātmāno svabhāv evo pragaṭ thāy chhe ke jemān potānā chaitanya puruṣhano ākār pratibhāse chhe evo nirmaḷ ātmāne svānubhavarūp āsvāde chhe. tethī shuddhanay katakaphaḷ samān chhe. enā shraddhānathī sarva siddhi thāy chhe. pa.
āgaḷ kahe chhe ke jo ek nishchayanayanā shraddhānathī ja sarva siddhi thāy to āchārya vyavahāranayano upadesh shā māṭe kare chhe? teno uttar–artha ā gāthamān kahyo chhe. pa.
vaḷī je shrotā gāthānā arthamānnā upadeshane aṅgīkār karavā lāyak nathī tenun kathan kare chhe–
व्यवहारमेव केवलमवैति यस्तस्य देशना नास्ति।। ६।।
anvayārthaḥ– [मुनीश्वराः] grantha karanār āchārya [अबुधस्य] agnānī jīvone [बोधनार्थः] gnān utpanna karavā māṭe [अभूतार्थ] vyavahāranayano [देशयन्ति] upadesh kare chhe ane [यः] je jīv [केवलं]kevaḷ [व्यवहारम् एव] vyavahāranayane ja [अवैति] jāṇe chhe. [तस्य] tene–te mithyādraṣhṭi māṭe [देशना] upadesh [नास्ति] nathī.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘मुनीश्वराः अबुधस्य बोधनार्थं अभुतार्थं देशयन्ति–’ munīshvaro eṭale āchāryo agnānī jīvone gnān utpanna karavā māṭe abhūtārtha evo je vyavahāranay teno upadesh kare chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– anādino agnānī jīv vyavahāranayanā upadesh vinā samaje nahi tethī āchārya vyavahāranay dvārā temane samajāve chhe. te ja batāvīe chhīe. jem koī mlechchhane brāhmaṇe ‘svasti’ shabda vaḍe āshīrvād āpyo. tene (arthanī) kāī khabar paḍī nahi, tenā taraph tākī ja rahyo. tyān dubhāṣhiyo tene mlechchhanī bhāṣhāmān kahevā lāgyo ke ā kahe chhe ke ‘tāru bhalun thāv.’ tyāre ānandit thaīne teno

have asadbhūt vyavahāranayanun udāharaṇ kahīe chhīe. jem māṭīno ghaḍo ghīthī sanyukta chhe tene vyavahāre ghīno ghaḍo kahīe chhīe. ahīn koī puruṣh janmathī ghīno ghaḍo jāṇe chhe. jo koī tene ghīno ghaḍo kahīne samajāve to samaje ane jo māṭīno ghaḍo kahe to bījā koī korā ghaḍānun nām samaje chhe. nishchayathī vichārīe to ghaḍo chhe te māṭīno ja chhe, parantu tene samajāvavā māṭe ‘ghīno ghaḍo’ evā nām vaḍe kahīe chhīe. tem chaitanyasvarūp ātmā karmajanit paryāyathī sanyukta chhe tene vyavahārathī dev, munaṣhya ītyādi nāmathī kahīe chhīe. ahīn agnānī anādithī te ātmāne dev, manuṣhya ityādi svarūp ja jāṇe chhe. jo koī ene dev, manuṣhya vagere nāmathī sambodhīne samajāve to samaje ane chaitanyasvarūp ātmānun nām kahe to bījā koī paramabrahma, parameshvaranun nām samaje. nishchayathī vichārīe to ātmā chhe te chaitanyasvarūp ja chhe. parantu ene samajāvavā māṭe āchārya gati, jātinā bhed vaḍe jīvanun nirūpaṇ kare chhe. ā rīte agnānī jīvone gnān upajāvavā māṭe āchārya vyavahārano upadesh kare chhe. ahīn mātra vyavahār ‘एवं अवैति तस्य देशना नास्ति’– je jīv kevaḷ vyavahāranī ja shraddhā kare chhe tene māṭe upadesh nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ– nishchayanayanī shraddhā vinā kevaḷ vyavahār mārgamān ja je pravarte te mithyādraṣhṭine upadesh karavo niṣhphaḷ chhe. 6.
āgaḷ kevaḷ vyavahāranayanun shraddhān thavānun kāraṇ batāve chhe–

ṭīkāḥ– ‘यथा हि अनवगीतसिंहस्य माणवक एव सिंहो भवति’– jem nishchayathī (kharekhar) jeṇe sinhane jāṇyo nathī tene bilāḍī ja sinharūp thāy chhe. tathā ‘अनिश्चयज्ञस्य व्यवहारः एव निश्चयतां याति’– tem jeṇe nishchayanun svarūp jāṇyun nathī temane vyavahār ja nishchayarūp thāy chhe. arthāt teo vyavahārane ja nishchay mānī bese chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– jem bāḷak sinhane oḷakhatun nathī, bilāḍīne ja sinh māne chhe tem agnānī nishchayanā svarūpane oḷakhato nathī, vyavahārane ja nishchay māne chhe. te ja batāvīe chhīe. je jīv potānā shuddha chaitanyarūp ātmānā shraddhān, gnān, ācharaṇarūp mokṣhamārgane oḷakhato nathī te jīv vyavahāradarshan, gnān, chāritranun sādhan karī potāne mokṣhano adhikārī māne chhe. arihantadev, nirgranth guru, dayādharmanun shraddhān karī potāne samyagdraṣhṭi māne chhe. ane kiñchit jinavāṇīne jāṇī potāne gnānī māne chhe, mahāvratādi kriyānun sādhan karī potāne chāritravān māne chhe. ā rīte e shubhopayogamān santuṣhṭa thaī, shuddhopayogarūp mokṣhamārgamān pramādī chhe te kāraṇe kevaḷ vyavahāranayanā avalambī thayā chhe ene upadesh āpīe to niṣhphaḷ chhe. ahīn prashna ūpaje chhe ke āvā shrotā paṇ upadesh lāyak nathī.
to shrotā kevā guṇavāḷā hovā joīe? teno uttar āgaḷ kahe chhe–
प्राप्नोति देशनायाः स एव फलमविकलं
anvayārthaḥ– [यः] je jīv [व्यवहारनिश्चयौ] vyavahāranay ane nishchayanayane [तत्त्वेन] vastusvarūp vaḍe [प्रबुध्य] yathārthapaṇe jāṇīne [मध्यस्थः] madhyastha [भवति] thāy chhe, arthāt nishchayanay ane vyavahāranayanā pakṣhapātarahit thāy chhe [सः] te [एव] ja [शिष्यः] shiṣhya [देशनायाः] upadeshanā [अविकलं] sampūrṇa [फलं] phaḷane [प्राप्नोति] pāme chhe.

bhāvārthaḥ– shrotāmān anek guṇ joīe. parantu vyavahār ane nishchayane jāṇīne ek pakṣhanā haṭhāgrahīrūp na thavun e guṇ mukhya joīe. kahyun chhe ke–
एकेण विणा छिज्जइ तित्थं, अप्णेण पुण तच्चं।।
arthaḥ– jo tun jinamatamān pravarte chhe to vyavahār ane nishchayane na chhoḍ. jo nishchayano pakṣhapātī thaī vyavahārane chhoḍīsh to ratnatrayasvarūp dharmatīrthano abhāv thashe. ane jo vyavahārano pakṣhapātī thaī nishchayane chhoḍīsh to shuddha tattvasvarūpano anubhav nahi thāy. tethī pahelān vyavahār–nishchayane barābar jāṇī pachhī yathāyogyapaṇe ene aṅgīkār karavā, pakṣhapātī na thavun e ja uttamashrotānun lakṣhaṇ chhe. ahīn prashnaḥ–je nishchay–vyavahāranā jāṇapaṇārūp guṇ vaktāno kahyo hato te ja shrotāno kahyo temān visheṣh shun āvyun? uttaraḥ–je guṇ vaktāmān adhikapaṇe hoy te ja shrotāmān hīnatāpaṇe–thoḍā anshe hoy chhe. e rīte vaktā ane shrotānun varṇan karyun. 8.

have granthanun varṇan kare chhe. ā granthamān puruṣhanā arthanī siddhinā upāyanun vyākhyān karashe. tethī pratham ja puruṣhanun svarūp kahe chheḥ–
गुणपर्ययसमवेतः समाहितः समुदयव्ययध्रौव्यैः।। ९।।
anvayārthaḥ– [पुरुषः] puruṣh arthāt ātmā [चिदात्मा] chetanāsvarūp [अस्ति] chhe, [स्पर्शगन्धरसवर्णैः] sparsha, gandh, ras, ane varṇathī [विवर्जितः] rahit chhe, [गुणपर्ययसमवेतः] guṇ ane paryāy sahit chhe tathā [समुदयव्ययध्रौव्यैः] utpād, vyay ane dhrauvya [समाहितः] yukta chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– पुरुषः चिदात्मा अस्ति –puruṣh chhe te chaitanyasvarūp chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– (पुरु) uttam chetanā guṇamān (सेते) svāmī thaīne pravarte tenun nām puruṣh chhe. gnān, darshan, chetanānā nāthane puruṣh kahīe. ā ja chetanā avyāpti, ativyāpti ane asambhav e traṇ doṣharahit ā ātmānun asādhāraṇ lakṣhaṇ chhe. avyāpti doṣh tene kahe chhe ke jene jenun lakṣhaṇ kahyun hoy te tenā koī lakṣhyamān hoy, ane koī lakṣhyamān na hoy. paṇ koī ātmā chetanā rahit nathī.
jo ātmānun lakṣhaṇ rāgādi kahīe to avyāpti dūṣhaṇ lāge chhe kāraṇ ke rāgādi sansārī jīvane chhe, siddha jīvone nathī.
je lakṣhaṇ lakṣhyamān hoy ane alakṣhyamān paṇ hoy tene ativyāpti dūṣhaṇ kahīe. paṇ chetanā jīv padārtha sivāy bījā koī padārthamān nathī. jo ātmānun lakṣhaṇ amūrtatva kahīe to ativyāpti dūṣhaṇ lāge; kāraṇ ke jevī rīte ātmā amūrtik chhe tevī rīte dharma, adharma, ākāsh ane kāḷ paṇ amūrtik chhe. vaḷī je pramāṇamān na āve tene asambhav kahīe. chetanā jīv padārthamān pratyakṣha ane parokṣha pramāṇathī jaṇāy chhe. jo ātmānun lakṣhaṇ jaḍapaṇun kahīe to asambhav doṣh lāge chhe; kāraṇ ke te pratyakṣha pramāṇathī bādhit chhe. ā rīte traṇ doṣh rahit ātmānun chetanā lakṣhaṇ

be prakāre chhe. ek gnānachetanā chhe, bījī darshanachetanā chhe. je padārthone sākārarūpe visheṣhapaṇe karīne jāṇe tene gnānachetanā kahe chhe.
je padārthone nirākārarūpe sāmānyapaṇe dekhe tene darshanachetanā kahīe. āj chetanā pariṇāmanī apekṣhāe traṇ prakāranī chhe. jyāre ā chetanā shuddha gnānasvabhāvarūpe pariṇame tyāre gnānachetanā kahīe, jyāre rāgādi kāryarūpe pariṇame tyāre karmachetanā ane harṣha–shokādi vedanarūp karmanā phaḷarūpe pariṇame tyāre karmaphaḷachetanā kahīe. ā rīt chetanā anek svāṅg kare paṇ chetanāno abhāv kadī thato nathī. āvā chetanālakṣhaṇathī virājamān jīv nāmanā padārthanun nām puruṣh chhe vaḷī kevo chhe puruṣh? sparsha, ras gandh ane varṇathī rahit chhe. āṭh prakāranā sparsha, be prakāranī gandh, pāñch prakāranā ras, pāñch prakāranā varṇa evā je pudgalonān lakṣhaṇ tenāthī rahit amūrtik chhe. ā visheṣhaṇathī pudgal dravyathī judāī pragaṭ karī, kāraṇ ke ā ātmā anādithī sambandharūp je pudgal dravya chhe temān ahaṅkār–mamakārarūp pravarte chhe. jo potānān chaitanya puruṣhane amūrtik jāṇe to dravyakarma, nokarma, dhanadhānyādi pudgaladravyamān ahaṅkār–mamakār na kare.
vaḷī kevo chhe puruṣh? ‘गुणपर्यायसमवेतः’–guṇaparyāyothī virājamān chhe. tyān guṇanun lakṣhaṇ sahabhūt chhe. sah eṭale dravyanī sāthe chhe, bhū eṭale sattā. dravyamān je sadākāḷ prāpta chhe tene guṇ kahīe. ātmāmān guṇ be prakāre chhe. gnān–darshanādi asādhāraṇ guṇ chhe, bījā dravyamān te hotā nathī. astitva, vastutva, prameyatvādi sādhāraṇ guṇ chhe, bījān dravyamān paṇ hoy chhe. paryāyanun lakṣhaṇ kramavartī chhe. je dravyamān anukrame ūpaje, kadāchit–koīvār hoy tene paryāy kahīe. ātmāmān paryāy be prakāre chhe. je nar–nārakādi ākārarūp athavā siddhanā ākārarūp paryāy tene vyañjanaparyāy kahīe. gnānādi guṇane paṇ svabhāv vā vibhāgarūp pariṇaman je chha prakāre hāni–vr̥uddhirūp chhe tene arthaparyāy kahe chhe. ā guṇaparyāyothī ātmānī tadātmak ektā chhe. ā visheṣhaṇ vaḍe ātmānun visheṣhya jāṇī shakāy chhe.
vaḷī kevo chhe puruṣh? ‘समुदयव्ययध्रौव्यैः समाहितः’– utpād, vyay, dhrauvyathī sanyukta chhe. navīn arthaparyāy ane vyañjanaparyāyanun ūpajavun te utpād, pūrva paryāyano nāsh thavo te vyay ane guṇanī apekṣhāe athavā dravyanī apekṣhāe shāshvatapaṇun tene dhrauvya kahīe. jem sonun kuṇḍaḷ paryāyathī ūpaje chhe, kaṅkaṇ paryāyathī viṇase chhe,

pīḷāsh vagerenī apekṣhāe athavā sonāpaṇānī apekṣhāe sarva avasthāomān shāshvatatā chhe. ā visheṣhaṇathī ātmānun astitva pragaṭ karyun. 9.
prashnaḥ– āvā chaitanya puruṣhane ashuddhatā kaī rīte thaī jethī ene potānā arthanī siddhi karavī paḍe? teno uttar āgaḷ kahe chhe–
anvayārthaḥ– [सः] te chaitanya ātmā [अनादिसन्तत्या] anādinī paripāṭīthī [नित्यं] nirantar [ज्ञानविवर्त्तैः] gnānādi guṇonā vikārarūp rāgādi pariṇāmothī [परिणममानः] pariṇamato thako [स्वेषां] potānā [परिणामानां] rāgādi pariṇāmono [कर्त्ता च भोक्ता च] kartā ane bhoktā paṇ [भवति] thāy chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘अनादि सन्तत्या नित्यं ज्ञानविवर्त्तैः परिणममानः स्वेषां परिणामानां कर्त्ता च भोक्ता च भवति।’’ – te chaitanya puruṣh anādinī paripāṭīthī sadā gnān chāritrarahit je rāgādi pariṇām te vaḍe pariṇamato thako potānā je rāgādi pariṇām thayā teno e kartā paṇ chhe ane bhoktā paṇ chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– ā ātmāne navī ashuddhatā thaī nathī. anādikālathī santānarūpe dravyakarmathī rāgādi thāy chhe, rāgādithī vaḷī dravyakarmano bandh thāy chhe. suvarṇakīṭikā jem anādi sambandh chhe. te sambandhathī potānā gnānasvabhāvanī khabar ja nathī tethī udayāgat karma paryāyamān īṣhṭa– aniṣhṭabhāv vaḍe rāg, dveṣh, moharūp pariṇamyo chhe. joke ā pariṇāmone dravyakarmanun kāraṇ chhe topaṇ e pariṇām chetanāmay chhe. temān ā pariṇāmano vyāpyavyāpak bhāvathī ātmā ja kartā chhe.
bhāvyabhāvakabhāvathī ātmā ja bhoktā chhe. vyāpyavyāpakabhāv eṭale shun te kahīe chhīe. je niyamathī sahachārī hoy tene vyāpti kahe chhe. jem dhūmāḍā ane agnimān sahachārīpaṇun chhe. jyān dhūmāḍo hoy tyān agni hoy ane agni vinā dhūmāḍo na hoy. tem rāgādibhāv ane ātmāmān sahachārīpaṇun chhe. jyān rāgādi hoy tyān ātmā hoy ja. ātmā vinā rāgādi na hoy. ā vyāptikriyāmān je karma chhe tene vyāpya kahīe. ātmā kartā chhe tene vyāpak kahīe. āvī rīte jyān vyāpya vyāpak sambandh hoy tyān kartā karma sambandh sambhave, bījā sthānamān na sambhave. e ja

ā rīte ā ashuddha ātmāne arthasiddhi kayāre thāy ane arthasiddhi kone kahevāy te āgaḷ kahe chhe–
anvayārthaḥ– [यदा] jyāre [सः] uparyukta ashuddha ātmā [सर्वविवर्त्तोत्तीर्णं] sarva vibhāvothī pār thaīne [अचलं] potānā niṣhkampa [चैतन्यं] chaitanya svarūpane [आप्नोति] prāpta thāy chhe [तदा] tyāre ā ātmā te [सम्यक्पुरुषार्थसिद्धिम्] samyakpaṇe puruṣhārthanā prayojananī siddhine [आपन्नः] prāpta thato thako [कृतकृत्यः] kr̥utakr̥utya [भवति] thāy chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘स यदा सर्वविवर्त्तोत्तीर्णं चैतन्यमचलमाप्नोति तदा कृतकृत्यः भवति’– rāgādi bhāvothī lipta te ja ātmā jyāre sarva vibhāvathī pār thaī potānā chaitanyasvarūp ātmāne niḥshaṅkapaṇe prāpta thāy tyāre ā ja ātmā kr̥utakr̥utya thāy chhe. kevo chhe ā ātmā? ‘सम्यक्पुरुषार्थसिद्धिमापन्नः’– samyak prakāre puruṣhārthanī siddhine prāpta thayo chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– jyāre ā ātmā sva–par bhedavignān vaḍe sharīrādi paradravyane judā jāṇe tyāre temān ‘‘ā bhalā–īṣhṭa, ā būrā’’ evī buddhino tyāg kare. kāraṇ ke je kāī bhalun ke būrun thāy chhe te to potānā pariṇāmothī ja thāy chhe, paradravyanā karavāthī bhalun–būrun thatun nathī. tethī sarva paradravyomān rāgadveṣh bhāvano tyāg kare. jo avashapaṇe (–puruṣhārthanī nirbaḷatāthī) rāgādi ūpaje to tenā nāshanā māṭe anubhav–abhyāsamān udyamavant rahe. ām karatān jyāre sarva vibhāvabhāvano nāsh thāy, akṣhubdha samudravat shuddhātmasvarūpamān lavaṇavat pariṇām līn thāy, dhyātādhyeyano vikalpa na rahe, em na jāṇe ke hun shuddhātmasvarūpane dhyāvun chhun, pote ja tādātmyavr̥uttithī shuddhātmasvarūp thaī niṣhkampapaṇe pariṇame, te vakhate ā ātmāne je kāī karavānun hatun te karī līdhun, kāī karavānun have bākī rahyun nahi tethī ene

kr̥utakr̥utya kahīe chhīe. tenī avasthāmān puruṣhārthanī siddhi thaī. puruṣhano je artha arthāt prayojanarūp kārya tenī je siddhi thavānī hatī te thaī gaī. āvī avasthāne je prāpta thayo te ātmāne kr̥utakr̥utya kahīe chhīe. 11.
āgaḷ puruṣhārthasiddhino upāy kahevā īchchhe chhe tyān pratham paradravyanā sambandhanun kāraṇ kahe chhe, je jatān je kāī upāy karavāmān āve chhe te kahe chheḥ–
स्वयमेव परिणमन्तेऽत्र पुद्गलाः कर्मभावेन।। १२।।
anvayārthaḥ– [जीवकृतं] jīvanā karelā [परिणामं] rāgādi pariṇāmane [निमित्तमात्रं] nimittimātra [प्रपद्य] pāmīne [पुनः] pharī [अन्ये पुद्गलाः] jīvathī bhinna anya pudgal skandha [अत्र] ātmāmān [स्वयमेव] potānī meḷe ja [कर्मभावेन] gnānāvaraṇādi karmarūp [परिणमन्ते] pariṇame chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘जीवकृतं परिणामं निमित्तमात्रं प्रपद्य पुनः अन्ये पुद्गलाः स्वयमेव कर्मभावेन परिणमन्ते।’’ jīve karelā je rāgādi pariṇām tene nimittamātra pāmīne navā anya pudgalaskandh svayamev gnānāvaraṇādi karmarūp thaī pariṇame chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– jyāre jīv rāgadveṣhamohabhāve pariṇame chhe tyāre te bhāvonun nimitta pāmī pote ja pudgal dravya karmaavasthāne dhāraṇ kare chhe. visheṣh eṭalun ke jo ātmā dev–guru–dharmādik prashasta rāgarūpe pariṇame to shubhakarmano bandh thāy.
prashnaḥ– jīvanā bhāv mahā sūkṣhmarūp chhe tenī khabar jaḍakarmane kevī rīte paḍe? ane khabar vinā kevī rīte puṇya–pāparūpe thaīne pariṇame chhe?
uttaraḥ– jem mantrāsādhak puruṣh beṭho beṭho guptapaṇe mantra jape chhe, tem mantranā nimittathī enā karyā vinā ja koīne pīḍā ūpaje chhe, koīnun maraṇ thāy chhe, koīnun bhalun thāy chhe, koī viṭambaṇārūp pariṇame chhe–evī e mantramān shakti chhe. tenun nimitta pāmī chetan–achetan padārtha pote ja anek avasthā dhāraṇ kare chhe. tevī rīte agnānī jīv potānā antaraṅgamān vibhāvabhāvarūpe pariṇame chhe. te bhāvanun nimitta pāmīne enā karyā sivāy ja koī pudgal puṇyaprakr̥itirūpe pariṇame chhe, koī pāparūp pariṇame chhe evī enā bhāvomān shaktichhe. tenun nimitta pāmīne pudgal pote ja anek avasthā dhāraṇ kare chhe. evo ja nimittanaimittik sambandh chhe. 12.

भवति हि निमित्तमात्रं पौद्गलिकं कर्म तस्यापि।। १३।।
anvayārthaḥ– [हि] nishchayathī [स्वकैः] potānā [चिदात्मकैः] chetanāsvarūp [भावैः] rāgādi pariṇāmothī [स्वयमपि] pote ja [परिणममानस्य] pariṇamatā [तस्य चितः अपि] pūrvokta ātmāne paṇ [पौद्गलिकं] pudgal sambandhī [कर्म] gnānāvaraṇādi dravyakarma [निमित्तमात्रं] nimitta mātra [भवति] thāy chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘हि चिदात्मकैः स्वकैर्भावैः परिणममानस्य तस्य चितः अपि पौद्गलिकं कर्म निमित्तमात्रं भवति’– nishchayathī chaitanyasvarūp potānā rāgādi pariṇāmarūpe pariṇamelā te pūrvokta ātmāne paṇ paudgalik gnānāvaraṇādi karma nimittamātra thāy chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– ā jīvane rāgādi vibhāvabhāv potāthī ja (svadravyanā ālambanathī) thatā nathī. jo potāthī ja thāy to te gnān–darshananī jem svabhāvabhāv thaī jāy. svabhāvabhāv hoy to teno nāsh paṇ na thāy. tethī e bhāv aupādhik chhe, anya nimittathī thāy chhe. te nimitta gnānāvaraṇādi dravyakarmone jāṇavun. je je prakāre dravyakarma uday avasthārūpe pariṇame te te prakāre ātmā vibhāvabhāvarūpe pariṇame chhe.
prashnaḥ– pudgalamān evī kaī shakti chhe ke je chaitanyane vibhāvarūpe pariṇamāve chhe.?
uttaraḥ– jem koī manuṣhyanā shir upar mantrelī raj nākhī hoy to te rajanā nimitta dvārā te puruṣh potāne bhūlī nānā prakāranī viparīt cheṣhṭā kare chhe. mantranā nimitte rajamān evī shakti hoy chhe ke je buddhimān manuṣhyane viparīt 1pariṇamāve chhe. tevī ja rīte ā ātmānā pradeshomān rāgādinā nimitte bandhāyelān pudgalonā nimitte ā ātmā potāne bhūlīne nānā prakāranā viparīt bhāvorūpe pariṇame chhe. enā vibhāvabhāvonā nimitte pudgalamān evī shakti hoy chhe ke je chaitanyapuruṣhane viparīt _________________________________________________________________

ṭīkāḥ– ‘स एवं अयं कर्मकृतैर्भावैः असमाहितः अपि बालिशानां युक्तः इति प्रतिभाति’– āvī rīte ā ātmā karma vaḍe karelā nānā prakāranā bhāvathī sanyukta nathī topaṇ agnānīne potānā agnānathī ātmā karmajanit bhāvothī sanyukta jevo pratibhāse chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– pahelān ām kahyun ke pudgalakarmane kāraṇabhūt rāgādibhāv chhe, rāgādibhāvonun kāraṇ pudgalakarma chhe. tethī ā ātmā nij svabhāvabhāvanī apekṣhāe karmajanit nānā prakāranā bhāvothī judo ja chaitanyamātra vastu chhe.
jem lāl phūlanā nimitte sphaṭik lāl raṅgarūpe pariṇame chhe parantu te lāl raṅg sphaṭikano nij bhāv nathī. sphaṭik svachchhatārūp potānā shvet varṇathī birājamān chhe. lāl raṅg chhe te svarūpamān peṭhā sivāy upar upar ja jhalak mātra dekhāy chhe. tyān ratnano pārakhu jhaverī to em ja jāṇe chhe ane apārakhu (aparīkṣhak) puruṣhane satyarūp lāl maṇinī jem lālaraṅgarūp ja pratibhāse chhe. tevī ja rīte karmanimittathī ātmā rāgādirūpe pariṇame chhe. te rāgādi ātmānā nij bhāv nathī. ātmā potānī svachchhatārūp chaitanyaguṇamān virājamān chhe. rāgādi chhe te svarūpamān peṭhā vinā upar upar ja jhalak mātra dekhāy chhe. tyān gnānī svarūpanā parīkṣhak to em ja jāṇe chhe. ane aparīkṣhak jīvone satyarūp ātmā pudgal karmanī peṭhe rāgādi svarūp ja pratibhāse chhe. ahīn prashna–tame ja rāgādibhāvane jīvakr̥ut kahyā hatā. ahīn tene karmakr̥ut kevī

rīte kaho chho? teno uttar– rāgādibhāv chetanārūp chhe tethī eno kartā jīv ja chhe, parantu ahī shraddhā karāvavā māṭe mūḷabhūt jīvanā shuddhasvabhāvanī apekṣhāe rāgādi bhāv karmanā nimittathī thāy chhe tethī karmakr̥ut kahyā.
jem koī manuṣhyane bhūt vaḷagyun hoy to te manuṣhya te bhūtanā nimitte nānā prakāranī viparīt cheṣhṭā kare chhe. tethī te cheṣhṭāono kartā to manuṣhya ja chhe parantu te cheṣhṭā manuṣhyano nijabhāv nathī māṭe e cheṣhṭāone bhūtakr̥ut kahīe. tem ā jīv karmanā nimitte nānā prakāranā viparīt bhāvorūpe pariṇame chhe, te bhāvono kartā to jīv ja chhe parantu ā jīvano nijabhāv nathī tethī te bhāvone karmakr̥ut kahīe chhīe. athavā karme karelā je nānā prakāranā paryāy, varṇa, gandh, ras sparsha, karma, athavā dev–nārak–manuṣhya–tiryañchasharīr, sanhanan, sansthānādi bhed athavā putra, mitra, makān, dhan, dhānyādi bhed–e badhāthī shuddhātmā pratyakṣha bhinna ja chhe. jem koī manuṣhya agnānī gurunā kahevāthī ekānt oraḍāmān besī pāḍānun dhyān karavā lāgyo, potāne pāḍā samān moṭā sharīravāḷo chintavavā lāgyo, ākāsh jevaḍā moṭā shiṅgaḍāmvāḷo mānī hun ā oraḍāmānthī kevī rīte nīkaḷīsh em chintavavā lāgyo. te potāne pāḍo na māne to manuṣhyasvarūp pote banī ja rahyo chhe. tem ā jīv mohanā nimittathī potāne varṇādik svarūp mānī devādi paryāyomān āvyo māne chhe. jo na māne to amūrtik shuddhātmā pote banī rahel ja chhe.
ā rīte ā ātmā karmajanit rāgādikabhāv athavā varṇādikabhāv tenāthī sadākāḷ bhinna chhe. kahyun chhe ke –‘‘वर्णाद्या वा राग मोहादयो वा। भिन्ना भावाः सर्वएवास्य पुंसः।।’’ topaṇ agnānī jīvone ātmā karmajanit bhāvothī sanyukta pratibhāse chhe, ‘‘खलु सः प्रतिभासः भवबीजम्’’। nishchayathī ā pratibhās te ja sansāranā bījabhūt chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– jem badhān vr̥ukṣhonā mūḷabhūt bīj chhe tem anant sansāranun mūḷakāraṇ karmajanit bhāvone potānā mānavā te chhe. āvī rīte ashuddhatānun kāraṇ batāvyun. 14. _________________________________________________________________ 1–ā puruṣh (–ātmā)ne varṇādi, rāgādi athavā mohādi badhāy bhāv (potāthī) bhinna chhe.

यत्तस्मादविचलनं स एव पुरुषार्थसिद्धयुपायोऽयम्।। १५।।
anvayārthaḥ– [विपरीताभिनिवेशं] viparīt shraddhānano [निरस्य] nāsh karīne [निजतत्त्वम्] nijasvarūpane [सम्यक्] yathārthapaṇe [व्यवस्य] jāṇīne [यत्] je [तस्मात्] te potānā svarūpamānthī [अविचलनं] bhraṣhṭa na thavun [स एव] te ja [अयं] ā [पुरुषार्थ– सिद्धयुपायः] puruṣhārthasiddhino upāy chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘यत्विपरीताभिनिवेशं निरस्य सम्यक् निजतत्त्वं व्यवस्य तत् तस्मात् अविचलनं स एव अयं पुरुषार्थसिद्धयुपायः।’’– je viparīt shraddhānano nāsh karī yathārthapaṇe nijasvarūpane jāṇe ane te potānā svarūpamānthī bhraṣhṭa na thāy te ja puruṣhārthasiddhi thavāno upāy chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– pūrve je kahyun hatun ke sansāranā bījabhūt karmajanit paryāyane ātmāpaṇe– potārūpe jāṇavun tenun ja nām viparīt shraddhān kahīe chhīe. teno mūḷamānthī nāsh karavo te samyagdarshan chhe. karmajanit paryāyathī bhinna shuddha chaitanyasvarūpane yathārthapaṇe jāṇavun te samyaggnān chhe ane karmajanit paryāyothī udāsīn thaī svarūpamān akamp–sthir rahevun te samyak chāritra chhe. e traṇe bhāvono samūh te ja ā jīvane kārya siddha thavāno upāy chhe, bījo koī upāy sarvathā nathī 1p.
je ā upāyamān lāge chhe temanun varṇan āgaḷ kare chhe–
एकान्तविरतिरुपा भवति मुनीनामलौकिकी वृत्तिः।। १६।।
anvayārthaḥ– [एतत् पद्म अनुसरतां] ā ratnatrayarūp padavīne anusaranār arthāt prāpta karel [मुनीनां] mahāmunionī [वृत्तिः] vr̥utti [करम्बिताचारनित्यनिरभिमुखा] pāpakriyā mishrit āchārothī sarvathā parāṅmukh tathā [एकान्तविरतिरुपा] paradravyothī sarvadā udāsīnarūp ane [अलौकिकी] lokathī vilakṣhaṇ prakāranī [भवति] hoy chhe.

lokone potānī pāse māṇasono saṅg–samudāy game chhe. muni bījāno paṇ sanyog thatān khed māne chhe. lokone vastī game chhe, munine nirjan sthān sārun lāge chhe. kayānsudhī kahīe? mahā munīshvaronī rīt lokonī rītathī ūlaṭā rūpe hoy chhe. kevī chhe munīshvaronī pravr̥utti? ‘करम्बिताचार नित्यनिरभिमुखा’– pāpakriyā sahitanā āchārathī parāṅmukh chhe. jem shrāvakano āchār pāpakriyāthī mishrit chhe, tem munīshvaronā āchāramān pāpano meḷāp nathī athavā karambit eṭale karmajanit bhāvamishrit je ācharaṇ temān parāṅmukh chhe, kevaḷ nijasvarūpane anubhave chhe te māṭe ekānt viratirūpā eṭale sarvathā pāpakriyānā tyāgasvarūp chhe athavā ek nijasvabhāvanā anubhav vaḍe sarvathā paradravyothī udāsīn svarūp chhe. ratnatrayanā dhārak mahāmunionī evī pravr̥utti chhe. 16.
तस्यैक देशविरतिः कथनीयानेन बीजेन।। १७।।
anvayārthaḥ– [यः] je jīv [बहुशः] vāramvār [प्रदर्शितां] batāvelī [समस्तविरतिं] sakaḷ pāparahit munivr̥uttine [जातु] kadāch [न गृह्णाति] grahaṇ na kare to [तस्य] tene [एकदेशविरतिः] ekadesh pāpakriyā rahit gr̥uhasthāchār [अनेन बीजेन] ā hetuthī [कथनीया] samajāve arthāt kahe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘यउ बहुशः प्रदर्शितां समस्तविरतिं न जातु गृह्णाति तस्य एकदेशविरतिः अनेन बीजेन कथनीया।’’– je jīv vāramvār upadesh vaḍe batāvavāmān āvel sakal pāparahit mahāvratanī kriyā tene kadāch grahaṇ na kare to te jīvane ekadesh pāparahit shrāvak–kriyā ā rīte kahevī.

bhāvārthaḥ– je jīv upadesh sāmbhaḷavānī ruchivāḷā hoy temane pahelān vāramvār munidharmano upadesh āpavo. jo te jīv munipadavī aṅgīkār na kare to pachhī tene shrāvak dharmano upadesh āpavo. 17.
shrāvakadharmanun vyākhyān āgaḷ je rīt kare chhe te rītathī upadesh na lāge to ā anukram chhoḍīne je upadeshadātā upadesh āpe chhe tenī nindā kare chhe–

ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘यः अल्पमतिः यतिधर्मः अकथयन् गृहस्थधर्मं उपदिशति तस्य भगवत्प्रवचने निग्रहस्थानं प्रदर्शितम्’’– tuchchha buddhivāḷā upadeshak munidharmano upadesh na āpatān, gr̥uhasthadharmano upadesh āpe chhe, tene bhagavānanā siddhāntamān daṇḍanun sthān kahyun chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– je upadeshak pahelān yatīshvaranā dharmano to upadesh na sambhaḷāve paṇ pahelān ja shrāvakadharmanun vyākhyān kare to te upadeshakane jinamatamān prāyashchitarūp daṇḍ yogya kahyo chhe. 18.
āgaḷ ene daṇḍ āpavānun kāraṇ kahe chheḥ–
anvayārthaḥ– [यतः] je kāraṇe [तेन] te [दुर्मतिना] durbuddhinā [अक्रमकथनेन] kramabhaṅg kathanarūp upadesh karavāthī [अतिदुरं] atyant dūr–vadhāre [प्रोत्सहमानोऽपि] utsāhavāḷo hovā chhatān paṇ [शिष्यः] shiṣhya [अपदे अपि] tuchchha sthānamān ja [संप्रतृप्तः] santuṣhṭa thaīne [प्रतारितः भवति] ṭhagāy chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘तस्य अपि यथाशिक्त एवं मोक्षमार्गः निषेव्य भवति’’– te gr̥uhasthane paṇ potānī shakti anusār āgaḷ jenun varṇan kare chhe te prakāre mokṣhamārga sevan karavā yogya chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– munine to mokṣhamārganun sevan sampūrṇapaṇe hoy chhe ane gr̥uhasthe paṇ potānī shakti pramāṇe mokṣhamārganun thoḍuṅghaṇun sevan karavun. kāraṇ ke dharmanun bījun koī aṅg nathī ke jenun sevan karavāthī potānun bhalun thāy. kevo chhe mokṣhamārga? ‘‘सम्यग्दर्शनबोधचरित्रत्रयात्मकः’ – samyagdarshan, samyaggnān, samyakchāritranun trik jenun svarūp chhe. judā judā traṇe mokṣhamārga nathī. traṇe maḷīne mokṣhamārga chhe. 20.
ā traṇemān pratham kone grahaṇ karavun te kahe chheḥ–
तस्मिन् सत्येव यतो भवति ज्ञानं चरित्रं च।। २१।।
anvayārthaḥ– [तत्रादौ] e traṇemān pratham [अखिलयत्नेन] samasta prakāre sāvadhānatārūp yatnathī [सम्यक्त्वं] samyagdarshan [समुपाश्रयणीयम्] sārī rīte aṅgīkār karavun joīe. [यतः] kem ke [तस्मिन् सति एव] te hotān ja [ज्ञानं] samyaggnān [च] ane [चारित्रं] samyakchāritra [भवति] thāy chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘तत्र आदौ अखिलयत्नेन सम्यक्त्वं समुपाश्रणीयम्’’– e traṇemān pahelān samasta upāyo vaḍe jo bane to samyagdarshan aṅgīkār karavun. e prāpta thatān avashya mokṣhapad prāpta thāy chhe. enā vinā sarvathā mokṣha thato nathī. vaḷī te svarūpaprāptinun advitīy kāraṇ chhe. māṭe ene aṅgīkār karavāmān pramādī na rahevun. marīne paṇ ā kāryajem bane tem karavun vadhāre shun kahīe? ā jīvanun bhalun thavāno upāy ek samyagdarshan samān koī nathī. māṭe tene avashya aṅgīkār karavun. pahelān ene aṅgīkār karavānun kāraṇ shun chhe te kahe chhe. ‘‘यतः तस्मिन् सति एव ज्ञानं च चरित्रं भवति’’– te samyagdarshan thatān ja samyaggnān ane samyakchāritra thāy chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– samyakatva vinā agiyār aṅg sudhī bhaṇe topaṇ te agnān nām pāme. vaḷī mahāvratādikanun sādhan karī antim graiveyak sudhīnā bandhayogya vishuddha pariṇām kare topaṇ asanyam nām pāme. paṇ samyakatva sahit je kāī jāṇapaṇun hoy te badhun samyaggnān nām pāme ane jo thoḍā paṇ tyāgarūp pravarte to samyakchāritra nām pāme. jem aṅkasahit shūnya hoy to pramāṇamān āve, aṅk vinā shūnya shūnya ja chhe, tem samyakatva vinā gnān ane chāritra vyartha ja chhe. māṭe pahelān samyakatva aṅgīkār karī pachhī bījun sādhan karavun. 21.
ām jo samyakatvanun lakṣhaṇ jāṇīe to tene aṅgīkār karīe. māṭe te samyakatvanun lakṣhaṇ kahe chheḥ–
anvayārthaḥ– [जीवाजीवादीनां] jīv, ajīvādi [तत्त्वाथरनां] tattvārthonun [विपरिताभिनिवेशविविक्तं] viparīt abhinivesh (āgrah) rahit arthāt bījāne bījāpaṇe samajavārūp mithyāgnānathī rahit [श्रद्धानं] shraddhān arthāt draḍh vishvās [सदैव] nirantar ja [कर्त्तव्यं] karavun joīe. kāraṇ ke [तत्] te shraddhān ja [आत्मरूपं] ātmānun svarūp chhe.

rīt nathī evo pratītabhāv te sadaiv kartavya chhe. tevun shraddhān karavā yogya chhe? ‘विपरीताभिनिवेशविविक्तं’– eṭale bījāne bījārūpe mānavārūp mithyātvathī rahit shraddhān karavun. ‘तत् आत्मरूपं अस्ति’– te shraddhān ātmānun svarūp chhe. je shraddhān kṣhāyik samyagdraṣhṭine ūpaje chhe te ja siddha avasthā sudhī rahe chhe. tethī upādhibhāv nathī, ātmāno nij bhāv chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– tattvārthashraddhān samyagdarshananun lakṣhaṇ chhe. te tattvārthashraddhān be prakāre chhe. ek sāmānyarūp, ek visheṣharūp. je parabhāvothī bhinna potānā chaitanyasvarūpane potārūpe shraddhe chhe te sāmānya tattvārtha shraddhān kahīe. ā shraddhān to nārakī, tiryañchādi sarva samyagdraṣhṭi jīvone hoy chhe. ane jīv–ajīvādi sāt tattvonā visheṣhaṇo (bhedo) jāṇī shraddhān kare te visheṣh tattvārthashraddhān kahīe. ā shraddhān manuṣhya, devādi visheṣh buddhivān jīvone hoy chhe. parantu rājamārga (–mukhyamārga) nī apekṣhāe sāt tattvone jāṇavān te samyaktvanun–samyakshraddhānanun kāraṇ chhe. kāraṇ ke jo tattvone jāṇe nahi to shraddhān shānun kare? tethī sāt tattvonun thoḍuṅk varṇan karīe chhīe.
1. jīvatattvaḥ – pratham ja jīvatattva chetanā lakṣhaṇathī virājamān te shuddha, ashuddha ane mishranā bhedathī traṇ prakāre chhe. tyān (1) shuddha jīvatattva – je jīvone sarva guṇ–paryāy potānā nijabhāvarūp pariṇame chhe arthāt jemanā kevaḷagnānādi guṇ shuddha pariṇati–paryāyathī birājamān thayā tene shuddha jīv kahīe.
(2) ashuddha jīvatattva – je jīvonā sarva guṇ–paryāy vikārabhāvane prāpta thaī rahyā chhe, gnānādi guṇ āvaraṇathī āchchhādit thaī rahyā chhe, je thoḍāghaṇā pragaṭarūp chhe te viparītapaṇe pariṇamī rahyā chhe ane jenī pariṇati rāgādirūp pariṇamī rahī chhe te mithyādraṣhṭi jīvone ashuddha jīv kahīe.
(3) mishrajīv– je jīvanā samyaktvādi guṇonī keṭalīk shakti shuddha thaī chhe athavā temān paṇ kāīk malinatā rahī gaī chhe. arthāt koī gnānādi guṇonī keṭalīk shakti shuddha thaī chhe, bījī badhī ashuddha rahī chhe, keṭalāk guṇ ashuddha thaī rahyā chhe, evī to guṇonī dashā thaī chhe ane jenī pariṇati shuddhāshuddharūp pariṇame chhe te jīv shuddhāshuddhasvarūp mishra kahīe. ā rīte jīv nāmanun tattva traṇ prakāre chhe.
2. ajīvatattva – je chetanāguṇ rahit te pudgal, dharma, adharma, ākāsh ane kāḷarūp (–kālāṇurūp) pāñch prakāre chhe. temān (1) pudgaladravya–sparsha, ras, gandh,

varṇasanyukta, aṇu ane skandhanā bhedathī be prakāre chhe. temān je ekākī–avibhāgī paramāṇu tene aṇu kahīe. anek aṇu maḷīne skandh thāy chhe tene skandh kahīe. athavā pudgaladravyanā chha bhed chheḥ–
1–sthūlasthūl– kāṣhṭha–pāṣhaṇ ādi je chhedāyā bhedāyā pachhī maḷe nahi tene sthūlasthūl pudgal kahīe. 2–sthūl–je jaḷ, dūdh, tel ādi drav padārthonī jem chhinnabhinna thavā chhatān pharī turat ja maḷī shake tene sthūl kahīe. 3–sthulasūkṣhma–ātāp, chāndanī, andhakārādi āṅkhathī dekhāy paṇ pakaḍāy nahi tene sthūlasūkṣhma kahīe. 4–sūkṣhmasthūl– je shabda gandhādi āṅkhathī na dekhāy paṇ anya īndriyathī jaṇāy tene sūkṣhmasthūl kahīe, pa–sūkṣhma–je ghaṇā paramāṇuono skandh chhe paṇ īndriyagamya nathī tene sūkṣhma kahīe. 6–sūkṣhmasūkṣhma– ati sūkṣhma skandh athavā paramāṇune sūkṣhma–sūkṣhma kahīe. ā rīte ā lokamān ghaṇo phelāvo ā pudgal dravyano chhe.
(2) dharmadravya– jīv ane pudgalone gati karavāmān sahakārīguṇasanyukta lokapramāṇ ek dravya chhe.
(3) adharmadravya– jīv ane pudgalane sthiti karavāmān sahakārīguṇasanyukta lokapramāṇ ek dravya chhe.
(4)ākāshadravya– sarva dravyone avagāhanahetutvalakṣhaṇasanyukta lokālokapramāṇ ek dravya chhe. jyān sarva dravyo prāpta thāy tene lok ane jyān kevaḷ ek ākāsh ja chhe tene alok kahīe. bannenī sattā judī nathī tethī ek dravya chhe.
(pa) kāḷadravya– sarva dravyone varttanāhetutvalakṣhaṇasanyukta lokanā ekek pradesh upar sthit ekek pradeshamātra asaṅkhyāt dravya chhe. tenā pariṇāmanā nimitte samay, āvalī ādi vyavahār kāḷ chhe. ā rīte jīvadravya sahit chha dravya jāṇavā. kāḷane bahu pradesh nathī tethī kāḷ sivāy pañchāstikāy kahīe. emān jīvatattva ane pudgal–ajīvatattvanā paraspar sambandhathī anya pāñch tattva thāy chhe.
3. āsravatattva – jīvanā rāgādi pariṇāmathī yog dvārā āvatā pudgalanā āgamanane āsravatattva kahīe.
4. bandhatattva – jīvane ashuddhatānā nimitte āvelān pudgalonun gnānāvaraṇādirūp potānī sthiti ane rasasanyukta pradesho sāthe sabandharūp thavun te bandhatattva kahīe.
