pa. samvaratattva – jīvanā rāgādi pariṇāmanā abhāvathī pudgalonun na āvavun tene samvar kahīe.
6. nirjarātattva – jīvanā shuddhopayoganā baḷathī pūrve bandhāyelān karmono ekadesh nāsh thavo tene samvarapūrvak nirjarā kahīe. karmaphaḷane bhogavīne nirjarā karavāmān āve te nirjarā mokṣhane āpe nahi.
7. mokṣhatattva – sarvathā karmano nāsh thatān jīvano nijabhāv pragaṭ thavo tene mokṣha kahīe. ā sāt tattvārtha jāṇavān. puṇya–pāp āsravādinān bhed chhe, māṭe judān kahyān nathī ā rīt ā tattvārthanun shraddhān te samyagdarshananun lakṣhaṇ kahīe.
prashnaḥ– ā lakṣhaṇamān avyāptidoṣh āve chhe. kevī rīt? je samaye samyagdraṣhṭi viṣhay– kaṣhāyanī tīvratārūpe pariṇame chhe tyāre evun shraddhān kayān hoy chhe? lakṣhaṇ to evun kahevun joīe ke sarva lakṣhyamān te sadākāḷ hoy.
uttaraḥ– jīvanā be bhāv chhe. ek shraddhānarūp chhe. bījo pariṇamanarūp chhe. shraddhānarūp samyaktvanun lakṣhaṇ chhe, pariṇāmarūp chāritranun lakṣhaṇ chhe. samyagdaṣhṭi viṣhayakaṣhāyanā pariṇamanarūp thayo chhe, shraddhānamān pratīti yathāvat chhe. jem nokar sheṭhano chākar chhe. tenā antaraṅgamān evī pratīti chhe ke ā badhun sheṭhanun kārya chhe, mārun ghar judun ja chhe. pariṇāmo vaḍe to sheṭhanā kāmamān pravarte chhe, te sheṭhanā kāmane ‘mārun mārun’ kahe chhe, napho ke khoṭ jāy tyān harṣha–shok paṇ kare chhe. te pratītine vāramvār sambhārato paṇ nathī. paṇ jyāre te sheṭhano ane potāno hisāb kare chhe tyāre jevī pratīti antaraṅgamān hatī te pragaṭ kare chhe. sheṭhanā kāryamān pravartatān te shakti pratītirūp rahe chhe. kadāchit jo te sheṭhanun dhan chorīne tene potānun jāṇe to tene aparādhī kahīe. vaḷī te nokar sheṭhanī nokarīne parādhīn duḥkhadāyak jāṇe chhe. parantu potānā dhananā baḷ vinā ājīvikāvash tenā kāmamān pravarte chhe, tem gnānī karmanā udayane bhogave chhe.
enā antaraṅgamān evī pratīt chhe ke ā badho dekhāvano ṭhāṭh chhe, mārun svarūp judun ja chhe. pariṇāmo vaḍe audayik bhāvomān pariṇame chhe. udayanā sambandhane kāraṇe ‘mārun–mārun’ paṇ kahe chhe, īṣhṭa–aniṣhṭamān harṣha–vivād paṇ kare chhe. te potānī pratītine vāramvār sambhārato paṇ nathī. paṇ je vakhate te karma ane potānā svarūpano vichār kare tyāre jevī pratīti antaraṅgamān hatī tevī ja pragaṭ kare chhe. vaḷī te

vaḷī te gnānī karmanā udayane parādhīn duḥkh jāṇe chhe. parantu potānā shuddhopayoganā baḷ vinā pūrvabaddha karmane vash thaī karmanā audayik bhāvomān pravarte chhe. ā rīte samyagdraṣhṭine tattvārthashraddhān samyagdarshan pariṇamanarūp to nirbādhapaṇe nirantar ja chhe, paṇ gnānopayog apekṣhāthī jovāmān āve to sāmānyarūp athavā visheṣharūp, shakti avasthāmān ke vyakta avasthāmān sadākāḷ hoy chhe.
prashnaḥ– bhale, ā lakṣhaṇamān avyāpti doṣh to nathī, paṇ ativyāpti doṣh to lāge chhe? kāraṇ ke dravyaliṅgī muni jinapraṇīt sāt tattvone ja māne chhe, anyamatanā kalpit tattvone mānatā nathī. lakṣhaṇ to evun kahevun joīe ke lakṣhya vinā bījā sthānamān na hoy.
uttaraḥ– dravyaliṅgī muni jinapraṇīt tattvane ja māne chhe, parantu viparīt abhinivesh sahit māne chhe, sharīrāshrit kriyākāṇḍane potānā jāṇe chhe, tethī ajīvatattvamān jīvatattva mānyun. vaḷī āsravabandharūp 1shīl, sanyamādikarūp pariṇām tene samvar–nirjarārūp mānī mokṣhanun kāraṇ māne chhe. dravyaliṅgī pāpathī to virakta thayo chhe paṇ puṇyamān upādeyabuddhithī pariṇamyo chhe māṭe tattvārthashraddhān nathī. ā rīte (viparīt abhiprāy rahit) tattvārthashraddhānarūp samyagdarshan aṅgīkār karavun. 22.

किमु सत्यमसत्यं वा न जातु

एकान्तवाददूषितपरसमयानपि च
anvayārthaḥ– [इह] ā [जन्मनि] lokamān [विभवादीनि] aishvarya, sampadā ādi, [अमुत्र] paralokamān [चिक्रत्वकेशवत्वादीन्] chakravartī, nārāyaṇaādi padone [च] ane [एकान्तवाददूषितपरसमयान्] ekāntavādathī dūṣhit anya dharmone [अपि] paṇ [न आकांक्षेत्] chāhe nahi.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘इह जन्मनि विभवादीनि न आकांक्षेत्’’ samyagdraṣhṭi ā lokamān to sampadā vagere ane putrādine chāhe nahi. ‘च अमुत्र चक्रित्व केशवत्वादीन् न आकांक्षेत्’– vaḷī paralokamān chakravartīpad, nārāyaṇapad ane ādi shabdathī īndrādi padane chāhatā nathī. ‘एकान्तवाददूषितपरसमयान् अपि न आकांक्षेत्– vastunā ekāntasvabhāvanun kathan karavāne līdhe dūṣhaṇ sahit je anyamat tene paṇ chāhatā nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ– niḥkāṅkṣhit nām vāñchchhā rahitanun chhe. kāraṇ ke ā lok sambandhī puṇyanā phaḷane chāhatā nathī tethī samyaktvī puṇyanā phaḷarūp īndriyanā viṣhayone _________________________________________________________________
1. svāmī samantabhadrāchāryakr̥ut ratnakaraṇḍashrāvakāchār gā 11 mān kahyun chhe ke– tattva ā ja chhe, āvun ja chhe, anya nathī athavā bījī rīte nathī. evī niṣhkampa talavāranī tīkṣhṇadhār samān sanmārgamān sanshay rahit ruchi–vishvāsane niḥshaṅkit aṅg kahe chhe.

anvayārthaḥ– [क्षुत्तृष्णाशीतोष्णप्रभृतिषु] bhūkh, taras, ṭhaṇḍī, garamī vagere [नानाविधेषु] nānā prakāranā [भावेषु] bhāvomān ane [पुरीषादिषु] viṣhṭā ādi [द्रव्येषु] padārthomān [विचिकित्सा] glāni [नैव] na [करणीया] karavī joīe.
ṭīkāḥ– kṣhudhā, tr̥uṣhā, shīt, uṣhṇa vagere nānā prakāranā duḥkhadāyak paryāyo ane apavitra viṣhṭā ādi padārthomān glāni na karavī.
bhāvārthaḥ– vichikitsā nām aṇagamānun chhe, athavā glāninun chhe. tenāthī rahit te nirvichikitsā. pāpanā udayathī duḥkhadāyak bhāvano sanyog thatān udvegarūp na thavun, kāraṇ ke udayādhīn kārya potāne vash nathī. e duḥkhathī amūrtik ātmāno ghāt paṇ nathī. vaḷī viṣhṭādi nindya vastumān glānirūp na thavun kāraṇ ke vastuno evo ja svabhāv chhe. emān ātmāne shun? athavā je sharīramān ā ātmā vase chhe temān to badhī ja vastu nindya chhe. 2p.

शास्त्राभासे shāstra jevā lāgatā, anya vādīoe nīpajāvelā granthomān ruchirūp na pravartavun
समयाभासे sāchā mat jevā lāgatā anyamatamān koī kriyā bhalī jevī dekhīne temān bhalun jāṇīne na pravartavun. athavā samay eṭale padārtha sarakhān lāge tevān anyavādīoe kahelān kalpit tattvo temān yukti jevun joīne satyabuddhi na karavī.
देवताभासे dev jevā pratibhāse evā, arihant dev sivāy anya devomān kāīk chamatkārādi dekhīne vinayarūp na pravartavun च kār vaḍe bījā paṇ je guru jevā pratibhāse evā viṣhay–kaṣhāy vaḍe lampaṭī, veshadhārīo tenā pratye vinayarūp na pravartavun. e pramāṇe yathārtha gnānathī bhraṣhṭa thavānā kāraṇo temān sāvadhān rahevun. 26.
परदोषनिगूहनमपि विघेयमुपबृंहणगुणार्थम्।। २७।।
anvayārthaḥ– [उपबृंहणगुणार्थं] upabr̥unhaṇ nāmanā guṇ arthe [मार्दवादिभावनया] mārdav, kṣhamā, santoṣhādi bhāvanāo vaḍe [सदा] nirantar [आत्मनो धर्मः] potānā ātmānā dharmanī arthāt shuddha svabhāvanī [अभिवर्द्धनीयः] vr̥uddhi karavī _________________________________________________________________

ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘उपबृंहणं गुणार्थ मार्दवादिभावनया सदा आत्मनः धर्मः अभिवर्द्धनीयः’’। upabr̥unhaṇ nāmanā guṇane māṭe mārdav eṭale komaḷ pariṇām ane ādi shabdathī kṣhamā, santoṣhādinī bhāvanā vaḍe sadā potānā ātmāno nij svabhāv pragaṭapaṇe vadhāravo.‘परदोषनिगूहनमपि विघेयम्।’– anya jīvanā je koī akriyārūp doṣh hoy tene pragaṭ na karavā, dābī devā e paṇ karavun.
bhāvārthaḥ– upabr̥unhaṇ nām vadhāravānun chhe. potānā ātmāno dharma vadhāravo. vaḷī ā dharmanun nām upagūhan paṇ kahyun chhe. te apekṣhāe doṣh ḍhāṅkavānun kahyun. bījānā doṣh pragaṭ karavāthī tene duḥkh ūpaje chhe. 27.
anvayārthaḥ– [कामक्रोधमदादिषु] kām, krodh, mad, lobhādi vikār [न्यायात् वर्त्मनः] nyāyamārgathī arthāt dharmamārgathī चिलयितुम्] vichalit karavāne māṭe [उदितेषु] pragaṭ thayā hoy tyāre [श्रुतं] shāstra anusār [आत्मनः परस्य च] potānī ane paranī [स्थितिकरणं] sthiratā [अपि] paṇ [कार्यम्] karavī joīe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘काम क्रोध मदादिषु न्यायात् वर्त्मनः चलयितुं उदितेषु आत्मनः परस्य च श्रुतं युक्त्या स्थितिकरणं अपि कार्यम्।’’ maithunanā bhāv, krodhanā, mānanā bhāv ane ādi shabdathī lobhādikanā bhāv nyāyarūp dharmamārgathī bhraṣhṭa karanārā chhe, māṭe te pragaṭ thatān potāne ane anya jīvone shāstra pramāṇe yuktivaḍe dharmamān sthir karavā te kārya paṇ shraddhānavāḷāe karavā yogya chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– bhraṣhṭane dharmamān sthāpavo tenun nām sthitikaraṇ kahīe. dharmathī je bhraṣhṭa thāy chhe te kām, krodhādine vash thavāthī thāy chhe. tethī jo enā nimitte _________________________________________________________________

anvayārthaḥ– [शिवसुखलक्ष्मी निबन्धने] mokṣhasukharūp sampadānā kāraṇabhūt [धर्मे] dharmamān [अहिंसायां] ahinsāmān [च] ane [सर्वेष्वपि] badhāy [सधार्मिषु] sādharmījanomān [अनवरतं] satat [परमं] utkr̥uṣhṭa [वात्सल्यं] vātsalya athavā prītinun [आलम्ब्यम्] ālamban karavun joīe.
ṭīkāḥ– mokṣhasukhanī sampadānā kāraṇabhūt evo je hinsārahit jinapraṇīt dharma temān ane te dharmasahit evā badhāy dharmīomān utkr̥uṣhṭa vātsalya nirantar rākhavun.
bhāvārthaḥ– vātsalya gāyane vāchharaḍā pratye hoy tevī prītine kahe chhe. jem vāchharaḍā pratyenā premane līdhe gāy sinhanī sāme jāy chhe–evā vichārathī ke mārun bhakṣhaṇ karīne ā vāchharaḍānun bhalun thaī jāy to ghaṇun sārun. evī prīti dharmamān ane dharmātmā sādharmīmān joīe. je tan, man, dhan, –sarvasva kharachīne potānī prīti pāḷe. 29.
anvayārthaḥ– [सततमेव] nirantar[रत्नत्रयतेजसा] ratnatrayanā tejathī [आत्मा] potānā ātmāne [प्रभावनीयः] prabhāvanāyukta karavo joīe. bhāvārthaḥ– prabhāvanā eṭale atyantapaṇe pragaṭ karavun. potānā ātmāno atishay to ratnatrayano pratāp vadhavāthī pragaṭ thāy chhe. ane jainadharmano atishay ghaṇān dān–dayāvaḍe ugra tap karīne, khūb dhan kharchī bhagavānanī pūjā karāvīne, shāstrābhyās karīne tathā nirdoṣh devādinā chamatkāravaḍe (jainadharmanī mahimā) pragaṭ thāy chhe, tethī āvo atishay pragaṭ karavo. ā rīte samyakatvanān āṭh aṅg kahyān te koī samyagdraṣhṭine pūreparān hoy chhe, koīne thoḍā hoy chhe, koīne gauṇapaṇe hoy chhe, koīne mukhyarūpe hoy chhe. parantu samyakatvanī shobhā to tyāre ja thāy jyāre e āṭhe aṅg sampūrṇa mukhyapaṇe, pragaṭ pratyakṣha bhāse. ā rīte samyakatva aṅgīkār karyā pachhī dharmī gr̥uhasthe shun karavun te āgaḷ kahīe chhīe. 30.
ā pramāṇe shrīmad amr̥utachandrasūri virachit puruṣhārthasiddhi upāy jenun bījun nām pravachanarahasya koṣh chhe temān samyagdarshan varṇan nāme pratham adhikār. _________________________________________________________________

ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘इत्याश्रित सम्यक्त्वैः आत्महितै च यत्नेन सम्यग्ज्ञानं समुपास्यम्’’– ā rīte jemaṇe samyakatva aṅgīkār karyun evā potānā ātmānun hit karanār dharmātmā jīvoe je– te upāye samyaggnān sevavun yogya chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– samyakatvane aṅgīkār karyā pachhī samyaggnān ne aṅgīkār karavun. किं कृत्य– kevī rīte sevavun? ‘‘आम्नाययुक्तियोगैः निरुप्य’’ āmnāy eṭale jināgamanī paramparā ane yukti eṭale pramāṇ– nayanā anuyogathī sārī rīte te samyaggnānano vichār–nirṇay karīne tenun sevan karavun.
bhāvārthaḥ– je padārthanun svarūp jināgamanī paramparā sāthe maḷatun āve tene pramāṇ– nayavaḍe potānā upayogamān barābar goṭhavī, yathārtha jāṇe tenun nām samyaggnānanun sevavun. te pramāṇ–nayanun svarūp thoḍun lakhīe chhīe.

pramāṇ nām samyaggnānanun chhe. te pratyakṣha ane parokṣhanā bhedathī be prakāre chhe. tyān pratyakṣhanā be bhed chhe. je gnān kevaḷ ātmāne ja ādhīn thaī jeṭalo potāno viṣhay chhe tene vishadatāthī spaṣhṭa jāṇe tene pāramārthik pratyakṣha kahīe. tenā paṇ be bhed chhe. avidhagnān, manaḥparyayagnān to ekadesh pratyakṣha chhe, kevaḷagnān sarvapratyakṣha chhe vaḷī je netrādi īndriyo dvārā varṇādikane sākṣhāt grahaṇ kare arthāt jāṇe tene sāmvyavahārik pratyakṣha kahīe. paramārthathī ā jāṇavun parokṣha ja chhe, kāraṇ ke spaṣhṭa jāṇapaṇun nathī. tenun udāharaṇaḥ– jem āṅkh vaḍe koī vastune saphed jāṇī, temān malinatānun paṇ mishraṇ chhe. amuk ansh shvet chhe ane amuk malin chhe em āne spaṣhṭa pratibhāsatun nathī tethī ene vyavahāramātra pratyakṣha chhe parantu āchārya parokṣha ja kahe chhe. matignān, shrutagnānathī je jāṇavun thāy te badhun parokṣha nām pāme chhe.
parokṣha pramāṇ– je gnān potānā viṣhayane spaṣhṭa na jāṇe tene parokṣha pramāṇ kahīe. tenā pāñch bhed chhe. 1. smr̥uti, 2. pratyabhignān, 3. tarka, 4.anumān, pa. āgam. ā pāñch bhed jāṇavā.
1. smr̥uti– pūrve je padārthane jāṇyo hato tene yād karīne kāḷāntaramān je jāṇīe tene smr̥uti kahīe chhīe.
2. pratyabhignān– jem pahelān koī puruṣhane joyo hato pachhī tene yād karyo ke ā te ja puruṣh chhe jene men pahelān joyo hato. je pahelānī vāt yād karīne pratyakṣha padārthano nishchay karavāmān āve tene pratyabhignān kahīe chhīe. jem pahelān em sāmbhaḷyun hatun ke rojh nāmanun jānavar (pashu) gāy jevun hoy chhe. tyān kadāch vanamān rojhane joyun tyāre e vāt yād karī ke gāy jevun rojh hoy chhe em sāmbhaḷyun hatun te rojh jānavar ā ja chhe.
3. tarka– vyāptinā gnānane tarka kahīe chhīe. ‘ānā vinā te nahi’ ene vyāpti kahīe. jem agni vinā dhūmāḍo na hoy, ātmā vinā chetanā na hoy. ā vyāptinā gnānane tarka kahīe.
4. anumān–lakṣhaṇavaḍe padārthano nishchay karīe tene anumān kahīe chhīe. jem koī parvatamānthī dhūmāḍo nīkaḷato dekhī nishchay karavo ke ahīn agni chhe.
pa. āgam– āptanān vachananā nimitte padārthane jāṇavo tene āgam kahīe

chhīe. jem shāstra vaḍe lokanun svarūp jāṇīe. ā rīte pāñch bhed parokṣha pramāṇanā jāṇavā.
shrutagnānapramāṇano je ansh tene nay kahīe. pramāṇavaḍe je padārtha jāṇyo hato tenā ek dharmane mukhya karīne anubhav karāve tene nay kahīe. tenā be bhed chhe. (dravyārthik ane paryāyārthik) je dravyane mukhya karī anubhav karāve te dravyārthik nay. tenā traṇ bhed chhe.
1. naigam– je sakanlpa mātrathī padārthanun grahaṇ karavun–jāṇavun tene naigam kahīe. jemake katharoṭ banāvavā māṭe koī lākaḍun levā jāy chhe, tene koīe pūchhayun, ‘‘tun kayān jāy chhe?’’ teṇe uttar āpyo ke hun katharoṭ levā jāu chhun. jyān te jāy chhe tyān tene katharoṭ to nahi maḷe paṇ tyānthī lākaḍun lāvī te katharoṭ banāvashe.
2. saṅgrah– sāmānyarūpathī padārthonā grahaṇane saṅgrahanay kahīe chhīe. jemake– chha jātinā samasta dravyo dravyasañgnā–lakṣhaṇ sahit chhe. e chha dravyonā samūhane dravya kahevun te.
3. vyavahāranay– sāmānyarūpathī jāṇel dravyanā visheṣh (bhed) karavā tene vyavahār kahīe. jemake dravyanā chha bhed karavā. ā rīte eṭalā dravyārthikanay kahyā.
paryāyārthikanayanā chār bhed chhe. r̥ujusūtranay vartamān paryāyamātrane jāṇe chhe. shabdanay, samabhirūḍh ane evambhūtanay te shabdanay chhe.
padārthamān ja matignān–shrutagnān to avashya thāy chhe parantu enā visheṣh vaḍe judun ārādhan karavānun kahyun chhe. shā māṭe? ‘‘यतः लक्षणभेदेन अनयोः नानात्वं संभवति।’’ kāraṇ ke lakṣhaṇabhedathī e bannemān bhinnapaṇun sambhave chhe. samyakatvanun lakṣhaṇ yathārtha shraddhān chhe, ānun (– gnānanun) lakṣhaṇ yathārtha jāṇavun chhe, tethī ene judā kahyā. 31–32

bhāvārthaḥ– matignān padārthane to jāṇatun hatun parantu samyakatva vinā tenun nām kumati ane kushrutagnān hatun te ja gnān je samaye samyakatva thayun te ja samaye matignān–shrutagnān nām pāmyun, tethī gnān to hatun paṇ samyakpaṇun samyaktvathī ja thayun. māṭe samyakatva to kāraṇarūp chhe, samyaggnān kāryarūp chhe. ‘तस्मात् सम्यक्त्वानन्तरं ज्ञानाराधनं इष्टम्’– māṭe samyakatva pachhī ja gnānanī ārādhanā yogya chhe. kāraṇ ke kāraṇathī kārya thāy chhe. 33.
prashnaḥ– kāraṇ–kārya to āgaḷ–pāchhaḷ hoy to kahevāy. ā to banne sāthe chhe to kāraṇ–kāryapaṇun kevī rīte sambhave chhe? teno uttar āgaḷ kahe chhe.
anvayārthaḥ– [हि] kharekhar [सम्यक्त्वज्ञानयोः] samyagdarshan ane samyaggnān banne [समकालं] ek samaye [जायमानयोः अपि] utpanna thavā chhatān paṇ [दीपप्रकाशयोः] dīvo ane prakāshanī [इव] jem [कारणकार्यविधानं] kāraṇ ane kāryanī vidhi [सुधटम्] sārī rīte ghaṭit thāy chhe.

ā samyaggnānanun lakṣhaṇ kahe chheḥ–
anvayārthaḥ– [सदनेकान्तात्मकेषु] prashasta anekāntātmak arthāt anek svabhāvavāḷā [तत्त्वेषु] tattvo athavā padārthomān [अध्यवसायः] nirṇay [कर्त्तव्यः] karavā yogya chhe ane [तत्] te samyaggnān [संशयविपर्य्ययानध्यवसायविविक्तं] sanshay, viparyay ane vimoh rahit [आत्मरुपं] ātmānun nij svarūp chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘सदनेकान्तात्मकेषु तत्त्वेषु अध्यवसायः कर्तव्यः’– anekānta chhe svabhāv jeno evā padārthomān jāṇapaṇun karavun yogya chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– padārthanā svarūpane yathārtha jāṇavānun nām samyaggnān chhe. te padārtha anekānta svabhāvane dhāraṇ kare chhe. anek ghaṇā, ant dharma. em potānā anantadharmane–svabhāvane dhāraṇ kare chhe tenun jāṇapaṇun avashya karavun joīe. jo samyak prakāre vastune oḷakhe to karoḍo kāraṇ maḷavā chhatān paṇ ashraddhānī na thāy. ‘तत् आत्मरुपं वर्तते’– te samyaggnān ātmānun svarūp chhe. kāraṇ ke je ā sāchun gnān utpanna thayun chhe te kevaḷagnānamān maḷī shāshvat raheshe. kevun chhe gnān? ‘संशयविपर्ययाध्यवसाय विविक्तम्’– sanshay, viparyay ane vimoh–e traṇ bhāvathī rahit chhe.
sanshayaḥ– viruddha be taraphanun gnān hoy tene sanshay kahe chhe. jem rātre koīne joīne sandeh thayo ke ā padārtha māṇas paṇ pratibhāse chhe ane vyantar jevo paṇ pratibhāse chhe.
viparyayaḥ– anyathā (viparīt) rūp ek taraphanun gnān hoy tene viparyay kahe chhe. jemake manuṣhyamān vyantaranī pratīti karavī.
anadhyavasāyaḥ– ‘kāīk chhe’ eṭalun ja jāṇapaṇun hoy, visheṣh vichār na kare tene anadhyavasāy (athavā vimoh) kahe chhe. jemake gaman karatān tr̥uṇanā sparshanun gnān thāy te. ā traṇ bhāvathī rahit yathārtha gnānanun nām samyaggnān kahīe. ahīn ghaṭapaṭādi padārthonā visheṣh jāṇavā māṭe udyamī rahevānun batāvyun nathī paṇ sansār–mokṣhanā kāraṇabhūt je padārtho chhe tene yathārtha jāṇavā māṭe udyamī rahevāno upadesh āpyo chhe.

anvayārthaḥ– [ग्रन्थार्थोभयपूर्णं] grantharūp [shabdarūp], artharūp ane ubhay arthāt shabda artharūp shuddhatāthī paripūrṇa, [काले] kāḷamān arthāt adhyayanakāḷamān ārādhavā yogya, [विनयेन] man, vachan, kāyānī shuddhatāsvarūp vinay [च] ane [सोपधानं] dhāraṇā yukta [बहुमानेन] atyant sanmānathī arthāt dev–guru–shāstranān vandan, namaskārādi [समन्वितं] sahit tathā [अनिह्नवं] vidyāgurune chhupāvyā vinā [ज्ञानं] gnān [आराध्यम्] ārādhavā yogya chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘ज्ञानं आराध्यम्’ shraddhāvān puruṣhoe samyaggnān ārādhavā yogya chhe. kevun chhe gnān? ‘ग्रन्थार्थोभयपूर्णम्’– shabdarūp chhe, artharūp chhe, ane ubhayathī pūrṇa chhe.

samyaggnān aṅgīkār karyā pachhī dharmātmā puruṣhoe shun karavun te kahīe chhīeḥ–
anvayārthaḥ– [विगलितदर्शनमोहैः] jemaṇe darshanamohano nāsh karyo chhe, [समञ्जसज्ञानविदिततत्त्वार्थैः] samyaggnān vaḍe jemaṇe tattvārtha jāṇyā chhe, [नित्यमपि निःप्रकम्पैः] je sadākāḷ akamp arthāt draḍhachittavāḷā chhe evā puruṣho dvārā [सम्यक्चारित्रं] samyakchāritra [आलम्ब्यम्] avalamban karavā yogya chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘सम्यक्चारित्रं आलम्ब्यम्’– samyakchāritra aṅgīkār karavun. kevā jīvoe samyakchāritra aṅgīkār karavun? ‘विगलितदर्शनमोहैः’– jemanā darshanamohano nāsh thayo chhe ane darshanamohanā nāshathī je tattvashraddhānī thayā chhe. vaḷī kevā chhe? ‘समञ्जसज्ञानविदिततत्त्वार्थैः’– jemaṇe samyaggnānathī tattvārtha jāṇyā chhe. vaḷī kevā chhe? ‘नित्यमपि निःप्रकम्पैः’– dhāraṇ karelā ācharaṇamān nirantar niṣhkamp chhe. grahaṇ karelā ācharaṇane koīpaṇ rīte chhoḍatā nathī. evā jīvoe samyakchāritra aṅgīkār karavun.
bhāvārthaḥ– pahelān samyadraṣhṭi thaīne samyaggnānī thāy ane pachhī nishchalavr̥utti dhāraṇ karīne samyakchāritra aṅgīkār karavānun kāraṇ kahe chhe. 37.
ज्ञानानन्तरमुक्तं चारित्राराधनं तस्मात्।। ३८।।
anvayārthaḥ– [अज्ञानपूर्वकं चरित्रं] agnān sahitanun chāritra [सम्यग्व्यपदेशं] samyak nām [न हि लभते] pāmatun nathī. [तस्मात्] māṭe [ज्ञानानन्तरं] samyaggnān pachhī [चारित्राराधनं] chāritranun ārādhan [उक्तम्] kahyun chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘अज्ञानपूर्वकं चारित्रं सम्यग्व्यपदेशं न हि लभते’ jenī pūrve agnān bhāv chhe tenun chāritra samyak nām pāmatun nathī. pahelān jo samyaggnān na hoy ane pāpakriyāno tyāg karī chāritrabhār dhāraṇ kare to te chāritra samyak nām pāmatun nathī.

anvayārthaḥ– [यतः] kāraṇ ke [तत्] te [चारित्रं] chāritra [समस्तसावद्ययोगपरिहरणात्] samasta pāpayukta man, vachan, kāyānā yoganā tyāgathī, [सकलकषायविमुक्तं] sampūrṇa kaṣhāy rahit, [विशदं] nirmaḷ, [उदासीनं] parapadārthothī viraktatārūp ane [आत्मरुपं] ātmasvarūp [भवति] hoy chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘यतः समस्त सावद्ययोगपरिहरणात् चारित्रं भवति’– samasta pāpasahit man, vachan, kāyānā yogano tyāg karavāthī chāritra thāy chhe. muni pahelān sāmāyik chāritra aṅgīkār kare chhe tyāre evī pratignā kare chhe. ‘अहं सर्वसावद्ययोगविरतोऽस्मि’– hun sarvapāpasahitanā yogano tyāgī chhun. kevun chhe. chāritra? ‘सकलकषायविमुक्तम्’– samasta kaṣhāyothī rahit chhe. samasta kaṣhāyano abhāv thatān yathākhyāt chāritra thāy chhe. vaḷī kevun chhe? ‘विशदम्’– nirmaḷ chhe. ātmasarovar kaṣhāyarūpī kādavathī melun hatun kaṣhāy jatān saheje nirmaḷatā thaī. vaḷī kevun chhe? ‘उदासीनम्’– paradravyathī virakta svarūp chhe. ‘तत् आत्मरुपं वर्तते– te chāritra ātmānun svarūp chhe. kaṣhāyarahit je ātmānun svarūp pragaṭ thayun te ja sadākāḷ raheshe, te apekṣhāe ātmānun svarūp chhe, navīn āvaraṇ kadīpaṇ nathī. sāmāyik chāritramān sakaḷachāritra thayun paṇ sañjvalan kaṣhāyanā sadbhāvathī malinatā na gaī. tethī jyāre sakaḷ kaṣhāyarahit thayā tyāre yathākhyāt nām pāmyun, jevun chāritranun svarūp hatun tevun pragaṭ thayun.
prashnaḥ– shubhopayogarūp bhāv chhe te chāritra chhe ke nahi?
uttaraḥ– shubhopayogarūp vishuddha pariṇāmothī hoy chhe. vishuddhatā nām mand kaṣhāyanun chhe. tethī kaṣhāyanī hīnatāthī kathañchit chāritra nām pāme chhe.

कार्त्स्न्यैकदेशविरतेश्चारित्रं जायते द्विविधम्।। ४०।।
anvayārthaḥ– [हिंसात] hinsāthī, [अनृतवचनात्] asatya bhāṣhaṇathī, [स्तेयात्] chorīthī, [अब्रह्मतः] kushīlathī ane [परिग्रहतः] parigrahathī [कार्त्स्न्यैकदेशविरते] sarvadesh ane ekadesh tyāgathī te [चारित्रं] chāritra [द्विविधम्] be prakāranun [जायते] hoy chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘चारित्रं द्विविधं जायते’– chāritra be prakāre ūpaje chhe. kevī rīte? ‘हिंसातः, अनृतवचनात्, स्तेयात्, अब्रह्मतः, परिग्रहतः, कार्त्स्न्यैकदेशविरतेः– hinsā, jūṭhun, chorī, abrahma ane parigrahanā sarvadesh ane ekadesh tyāgathī. chāritranā be bhed chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– hinsādikanun varṇan āgaḷ karīshun. tenā sarvathā tyāgane sakaḷachāritra kahīe ane ekadesh tyāgane deshachāritra kahīe. 40.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘‘कार्त्स्न्यनिवृत्तौ निरतः अयं यतिः भवति’’– (antaraṅgamān to traṇ kaṣhāyarahit shuddhinun baḷ chhe jene tathā) pāñch pāpanā sarvathā–sarvadesh tyāgamān je jīv lāgelo chhe te muni chhe. ‘‘अयं समयसारभूतः’’–ā muni shuddhopayogarūp shuddhātmāsvarūp ja chhe. muni chhe te shuddhopayogasvarūp ja chhe. je shubhopayogarūp bhāv chhe te paṇ ā muninī padavīmān kālimā samān chhe. ‘‘तु एकदेशविरतिः तस्यां निरतः उपासकः भवति’’– je pāñch pāpanā kadāchit ekadesh tyāgamān lāgelo jīv chhe te shrāvak chhe.

āgaḷ kahe chhe ke ā pāñch pāp ek hinsārūp ja chheḥ–
अनृतवचनादिकेवलमुदाहृतं शिष्यबोधाय।। ४२।।
anvayārthaḥ– [आत्मपरिणामहिंसनहेतुत्वात्] ātmānā shuddhopayogarūp pariṇāmono ghāt thavānā hetuthī [एतत्सर्वं] ā badhun [हिंसैव] hinsā ja chhe. [अनृतवचनादि] anr̥ut vachanādinā bhed [केवलं] kevaḷ [शिष्यबोधाय] shiṣhyone samajāvavā māṭe [उदाहृतम्] udāharaṇarūp kahyā chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘सर्वं एतत् हिंसा एव’– samasta ā pāñch pāp kahyā chhe te hinsā ja chhe. shā māṭe? ‘आत्मपरिणामहिंसनहेतुत्वात्’– ātmānā shuddhopayogarūp pariṇamananā ghātanā kāraṇ chhe tethī sarva hinsā ja chhe.
prashnaḥ– jo hinsā ja hoy to bījā bhed shā māṭe kahyā?
uttaraḥ– ‘अनृतवचनादि केवलं शिष्यबोधाय उदाहृतम्’– anr̥ut vachan vagere je bhed te mātra shiṣhyane samajāvavānā nimitte udāharaṇarūp kahyā chhe. shiṣhya hinsānā

āgaḷ hinsānun svarūp kahe chheḥ–
anvayārthaḥ– [कषाययोगात्] kaṣhāyarūpe pariṇamelā man, vachan, kāyānā yogathī [यत्] je [द्रव्यभावरुपाणाम्] dravya ane bhāvarūp be prakāranā [प्राणानां] prāṇonun [व्यपरोपणस्य करणं] vyaparopaṇ karavun–ghāt karavo [सा] te [खलु] nishchayathī [सुनिश्चिता] sārī rīte nakkī karelī [हिंसा] hinsā [भवति] chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘खलु कषाययोगात् यत् द्रव्यभावरुपाणां प्राणानां व्यपरोपणस्यकरणं सा सुनिश्चिता हिंसा भवति’– nishchayathī kaṣhāyarūp pariṇamelā man, vachan, kāyānā yoganā hetuthī dravyabhāvarūp be prakāranā prāṇone pīḍavā, ghātavā te kharekhar hinsā chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– potānā manamān, vachanamān ke sharīramān krodh–kaṣhāy pragaṭ thayo. tenāthī pratham to potānā shuddhopayogarūp bhāvaprāṇano ghāt thayo. ā hinsā to potānā bhāvaprāṇanā vyaparopaṇathī thaī, te to pahelān ja thaī. bījā hinsā to thāy ke na paṇ thāy. pāchhaḷathī kadāchit tīvra kaṣhāyarūp thāy ane potānā dīrghashvāsādithī athavā hāth–pagavaḍe potānā aṅgane pīḍā upajāvī athavā āpaghāt karī marī gayo te potānā dravyaprāṇanā ghātarūp hinsā thaī. vaḷī je kaṣhāyathī anya jīvane kuvachan kahyā, marmabhedī hāsya karyun athavā je rīte tenun antaraṅg pīḍit thaī kaṣhāyarūp pariṇame tevun kārya karyun, tyān paranā bhāvaprāṇanā vyaparopaṇathī hinsā thāy chhe. jyān kaṣhāyanā vashe pramādī thayo, bījā jīvanā sharīrane pīḍā karī athavā prāṇanāsh karyā tyān paranā dravyaprāṇanā ghātathī hinsā thaī. ā rīte hinsānun svarūp kahyun. 43.
āgaḷ hinsā ane ahinsānun nishchaye lakṣhaṇavarṇan kare chheḥ–
