jībh, nāk ane āṅkh sahit bhamarā, pataṅgiyā vagere chaturindriy jīv chhe. sparsha, jībh, nāk, āṅkh ane kān sahitanā jīv pañchendriy chhe. tenā be bhed chhe. jene man hoy te sañgnī, jene man na hoy te asañgnī. temān sañgnī pañchendriy sivāy badhā tiryañchagatinā bhed chhe. sañgnī pañchendriyanā chār prakār chhe. dev, manuṣhya, nārakī ane tiryañch. emān dev bhavanavāsī, vyantar, jyotiṣhī ane kalpavāsīnā bhedathī chār prakāre chhe. manuṣhya ārya ane mlechchhanā bhedathī be prakāre chhe. nārakīnā jīv sāt bhūminī apekṣhāe sāt prakāranā chhe. tiryañchomān machchhādik jalachar, vr̥uṣhabhādik sthalachar ane hansādik nabhachar–e traṇ prakār chhe. ā bhed tras–sthāvaranā jāṇī enī rakṣhā karavī. 76.
shrāvakane sthāvarahisāmān paṇ svachchhandapaṇāno niṣhedhaḥ–
anvayārthaḥ– [सम्पन्नयोग्यविषयाणाम्] īndriy–viṣhayonun nyāyapūrvak sevan karanār [गृहिणाम्] gr̥uhasthoe [स्तोकैकेन्द्रियघातात्] alpa ekendriyanā ghāt sivāy [शेषस्थावरमारणविरमणमपि] bākīnā sthāvar (ekendriy) jīvone māravāno tyāg paṇ [करणीयम्] karavā yogya [भवति] thāy chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘सम्पन्नयोग्यविषयाणां गृहिणां स्तोकैकेन्द्रियघातात् शेषस्थावरमारणविरमणम् अपि करणीयम् भवति’– nyāyapūrvak īndriyanā viṣhayone sevanārā shrāvakone thoḍok ekendriyano ghāt yatna karavā chhatān thāy chhe, te to thāy. bākīnā jīvone vinā kāraṇe māravāno tyāg paṇ temaṇe karavo yogya chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– yogya viṣhayonun sevan karatān sāvadhānatā hovā chhatān sthāvaranī hinsā thāy te to thāy chhe, parantu anya sthāvar jīvanī hinsā karavāno to tyāg karavo. 77.

anvayārthaḥ– [भगवद्धर्मः] sarvagna vītarāg bhagavānano kahelo dharma [सूक्ष्मः] bahu bārīk chhe māṭe [धर्मार्थं] ‘dharmanā nimitte [हिंसने] hinsā karavāmān [दोषः] doṣh [नास्ति] nathī.’ [इति धर्ममुग्धहृदयैः] evā dharmamān mūḍh arthāt bhramarūp hr̥udayavāḷā [भूत्वा] thaīne [जातु] kadīpaṇ [शरीरिणः] sharīradhārī jīvone [न हिंस्याः] māravā nahi joīe.

bhāvārthaḥ– koī agnānī kahe chhe ke bījī jagyāe hinsā karavī te pāp chhe paṇ yagnādimān dharmanā nimitte to hinsā karavī, temān kāī doṣh nathī. āvī shraddhāthī hinsāmān pravartavun yogya nathī. jyān hinsā hoy tyān dharma kadīpaṇ na hoy.
prashnaḥ– jainamatamān mandir banāvavān, pūjā–pratiṣhṭhā karavī vagere kahyun chhe tyān dharma chhe ke nathī?
uttaraḥ– mandir, pūjā, pratiṣhṭhādi kāryamān jo jīvahinsā thavāno bhay na rākhe, yatnāchārathī na pravarte, mātra moṭāī meḷavavā jematem karyā kare to tyān dharma nathī, pāp ja chhe. ane yatnapūrvak kārya karatān thoḍī hinsā thāy to te hinsānun pāp to thayun paṇ dharmānurāgathī puṇya ghaṇun thāy chhe athavā ekaṭhun karelun dhan kharachavāthī lobhakaṣhāyarūp antaraṅg hinsāno tyāg thāy chhe. hinsānun mūḷ kāraṇ to kaṣhāy chhe, tethī tīvra kaṣhāyarūp thaī temanī hinsā na karavāthī pāp paṇ thoḍun thayun. māṭe ā rīte pūjā–pratiṣhṭhādi kare to dharma ja thāy chhe.
jem koī manuṣhya dhan kharchavā māṭe dhan kamāy to tene kamāyo ja kahīe. jo te dhan dharmakāryamān na kharchāt to te dhanavaḍe viṣhayasevanathī mahāpāp upajat tethī te paṇ napho ja thayo. jem muni ek ja nagaramān rāgādi ūpajavānā bhayathī vihār kare chhe, vihār karatān thoḍīghaṇī hinsā paṇ thāy chhe, paṇ naphā–nukasān vichāratān ek ja nagaramān rahevun yogya nathī. tem ahīn paṇ naphā–nukasānano vichār karavo joīe. ek sāmānya kathanavaḍe visheṣh kathanano niṣhedh na karavo. āvun ja kārya to ārambhī, avratī ane tuchchha vratī kare chhe. tethī sāmānyapaṇe evo ja upadesh chhe. dharmanā nimitte hinsā na karavī. 79.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘हि धर्मः देवताभ्यः प्रभवति’– nishchayathī dharma ūpaje chhe te devothī ūpaje chhe, ‘इह ताभ्यः सर्वं प्रदेयम्’– ā lokamān te devonā nimitte badhun āpavun joīe. jīvone paṇ mārīne temane chaḍāvo. ‘इति दुर्विवेककलितां धिषणां प्राप्य देहिनः न हिंस्याः’– evī avivekavāḷī buddhithī prāṇīne māravā nahi.
bhāvārthaḥ– dev, devī, kṣhetrapāḷ, kālī, mahākālī, chaṇḍī, chāmuṇḍā ītyādine arthe hinsā na karavī. parajīvane māravāthī potānun bhalun kevī rīte thāy? bilakul na thāy. 80.
इति संप्रधार्य कार्यं नातिथये सत्त्वसंज्ञपनम्।। ८१।।

ṭīkāḥ– ‘पूज्यनिमित्तं छागादीनां घाते कोऽपि दोषः न अस्ति’– potānā guru māṭe bakarādi jīvonā ghātamān kāī doṣh nathī, ‘इति सम्प्रधार्य अतिथये सत्त्वसंज्ञपनम् न कार्यम्’– em vichārīne atithi (phakīrādi guru) māṭe jīvono ghāt na karavo.
bhāvārthaḥ– pāpī, viṣhayalampaṭī ane jībhanā lālachu evā potāne ane bījā jīvone narakamān laī javāne taiyār thanār evā kugurunā nimitte paṇ hinsā karavī yogya nathī. hinsāthī teno ane potāno mokṣha kevī rīte thashe? matalab ke thato nathī. 81.
इत्याकलय्य कार्यं न महासत्त्वस्य हिंसनं जातु।। ८२।।

bhāvārthaḥ– koī kahe chhe ke annanā āhāramān ghaṇā jīvo mare chhe māṭe ek moṭo jīv mārīne bhojan karīe to ghaṇun sārun– em mānī pañchendriy jīvono ghāt kare chhe. tyān hinsā to prāṇaghātathī chhe. ekandriy karatān pañchendriyanā dravyaprāṇ ane bhāvaprāṇ ghaṇā–vadhāre hoy chhe. māṭe ja evo upadesh chhe ke ghaṇā ekendriy jīvane māravā karatān dvīndriy jīvane māravānun anekagaṇun pāp chhe to pañchendriyane māravāthī kem ghaṇun pāp na thāy? vaḷī be īndriyathī pañchendriy jīvane māravāmān to mānsano āhār thāy chhe. tenā doṣh āgaḷ kahyā ja chhe. māṭe ā pramāṇe shraddhān karavun. 82.
anvayārthaḥ– [अस्य] ‘ā [एकस्य एव] ek ja [जीवहरणेन] jīvano ghāt karavāthī [बहूनाम्] ghaṇā jīvonī [रक्षा भवति] rakṣhā thāy chhe’ [इति मत्वा] em mānīne [हिंस्त्रसत्त्वानाम्] hinsak jīvonī paṇ [हिंसनं] hinnsā [न कर्त्तव्यम्] na karavī joīe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘अस्य एकस्य एव जीवहरणेन बहूनाम् रक्षा भवति’– āno ek ja jīv māravāthī ghaṇā jīvonī rakṣhā thāy chhe ‘इति मत्वा हिंस्त्र सत्त्वानां हिंसनं न कार्यम्’– em jāṇīne hinsak jīvano paṇ ghāt na karavo.
bhāvārthaḥ– sāp, vīñchhī, nāhar, sinh ītyādi bījā jīvone māranārahinsak jīvone māravāthī ghaṇā jīv bache chhe māṭe ene māravāmān pāp nathī–evun shraddhān na karavun, kemake ene to enā kāryanun pāp lāge chhe. lokamān anek jīvo pāp–puṇya upajāve chhe, temān āne shun? te hinsak jīvo hinsā kare chhe to temane pāp lāgashe. pote temanī hinsā karīne shā māṭe pāp upajāve? 83.

इति वासनाकृपाणीमादाय न दुःखिनोऽपि हन्तव्याः।। ८५।।
anvayārthaḥ– [तु] ane [बहुदुःखासंज्ञपिताः] ‘anek duḥkhothī pīḍit jīv [अचिरेण] thoḍā ja samayamān [दुःखविच्छित्तिम्] duḥkhano ant [प्रयान्ति] pāmashe’ [इति वासनाकृपाणींः] e prakāranī vāsanā athavā vichārarūpī talavār [आदाय] laīne [दुःखिनः अपि] duḥkhī jīvone paṇ [न हन्तव्याः] māravā na joīe.

anvayārthaḥ– [सुधर्मं अभिलषिता] satyadharmanā abhilāṣhī [शिष्येण] shiṣhya dvārā [भूयसः अभ्यासात्] adhik abhyāsathī [उपलब्धि सुगतिसाधनसमाधिसारस्य] gnān ane sugati karavāmān kāraṇabhūt samādhino sār prāpta karanār [स्वगुरोः] potānā gurunun [शिरः] mastak [न कर्त्तनीयम्] kāpavun na joīe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘सुधर्मं अभिलषिता शिष्येण स्वगुरोः शिरं न कर्त्तनीयम्’– dharmane chāhanār shiṣhye potānā gurunun mastak na kāpavun joīe. kevā chhe guru? ‘भूयसः अभ्यासात् उपलब्धि सुगति साधन समाधिसारस्य’– ghaṇā abhyāsathī jemaṇe sugatinā kāraṇabhūt samādhino sār meḷavyo chhe tevā chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– āpaṇā guru abhyāsamān lāgī gayā chhe (dhyān–samādhimān magna chhe), abhyās ghaṇo karyo, have jo emanā prāṇono ant karīe to te uchcha padane pāme– em vichār karīne shiṣhye potānā gurunun mastak kāpavun yogya nathī. jo temaṇe sādhan karyun chhe to teo ja potānun phaḷ āgaḷ pāmashe. tun hinsā karīne pāp shā māṭe upajāve chhe.? 87.

bhāvārthaḥ– koī khārapaṭik nāmano mat chhe, jemān mokṣhanun svarūp evun kahyun chhe ke jem ghaḍāmān pakṣhī ked thayelun chhe, jo ghaḍo phoḍī nākhavāmān āve to pakṣhī bandhanamānthī mukta thaī jāy. tem ātmā sharīramān bandh thayel chhe, jo sharīrano nāsh karīe to ātmā bandhanarahit–mukta thāy. āvun shraddhān na karavun. kem ke āvun shraddhān hinsānun kāraṇ chhe. antaraṅg kārmāṇ sharīranā bandhanasahit ātmā em mukta kevī rīte thāy? kevā chhe khārapaṭik? ‘धनलवपिपासितानाम्’– thoḍāk dhananā lobhī chhe. vaḷī kevā chhe? ‘विनेयविश्वासनाय दर्शयताम्’– shiṣhyone vishvās utpanna karavā māṭe keṭalīk rīto batāve chhe. māṭe emanā kathananun shraddhān na karavun. 88.
anvayārthaḥ– [च] ane [अशनाय] bhojan māṭe [पुरस्तात्] pāse [आयान्तम्] āvelā [अपरं] anya [क्षामकुक्षिम्] bhūkhyā puruṣhane [द्रष्ट्वा] joīne [निजमांसदानरभसात्] potānā sharīranun māns devānī utsukatāthī [आत्मापि] potāno paṇ [न आलभनीयः] ghāt karavo na joīe.

anvayārthaḥ– [नयभङ्गविशारदान] nayanā bhaṅgo jāṇavāmān pravīṇ [गुरून्] guruonī [उपास्य] upāsanā karīne [विदितजिनमतरहस्यः] jainamatanun rahasya jāṇanār [को नाम] evo koṇ [विशुद्धमतिः] nirmaḷ buddhidhārī chhe je [अहिंसां श्रयन्] ahinsāno āshray laīne [मोहं] mūḍhatāne [विशति] prāpta thashe?
ṭīkāḥ– ‘नाम नयभङ्गविशारदान् गुरून् उपास्य कः मोहं विशति’– he jīv, nayanā bhedo jāṇavāmān pravīṇ evā gurunun sevan karīne kayo jīv mohane prāpta thāy? na thāy.
bhāvārthaḥ– jīvane sārā–narasānun hit–ahitanun shraddhān gurunā upadeshathī thāy chhe. pūrvokta ashraddhānī kugurunā bharamāvavāthī anyathā pravarte chhe. paṇ je jīve sarva nayanā jāṇanār param gurunī sevā karī chhe te kevī rīte bhramamān paḍe? na ja paḍe. kevo chhe te jīv? ‘विदितजिनमतरहस्यः’– jeṇe jainamatanun rahasya jāṇyun chhe tevo chhe. vaḷī kevo chhe? ‘अहिंसां श्रयन्’– dayā ja dharmanun svarūp chhe em jāṇī tene aṅgīkār kare chhe. ane ‘विशुद्धमतिः’– jenī buddhi nirmaḷ chhe evo jīv mohane prāpta thato nathī. ā rīte dayādharmane draḍh karyo. e pramāṇe ahinsā vratanun varṇan karyun. 90.
तदनृतमपि विज्ञेयं तद्भेदाः सन्ति चत्वारः।। ९१।।
anvayārthaḥ– [यत्] je [किमपि] kāī [प्रमादयोगात्] pramād kaṣhāyanā yogathī [इदं] ā [असदभिधानं] svaparane hānikārak athavā anyathārūp vachan [विधीयते] kahevāmān āve chhe [तत्] tene [अनृतं अपि] nishchayathī jūṭhun [विज्ञेयम्] jāṇavun joīe. [तद्भेदाः] tenā bhed [चत्वारः] chār [सन्ति] chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘यत् किमपि प्रमादयोगात् इदं असत् अभिधानं विधीयते तत् अनृतं अपि विज्ञेयम्’– je kāī pramād sahitanā yoganā hetuthī ā asatya eṭale būrun athavā anyathārūp vachan chhe tene nishchayathī anr̥ut jāṇavun. ‘तद्भेदाः चत्वारः सन्ति’– te asatyavachananā chār bhed chhe. 91.
anvayārthaḥ– [यस्मिन्] je vachanamān [स्वक्षेत्रकालभावैः] potānān dravya, kṣhetra, kāḷ, bhāvathī [सत् अपि] vidyamān hovā chhatān paṇ [वस्तु] vastuno [निषिध्यते] niṣhedh karavāmān āve chhe [तत्] te [प्रथमम्] pratham [असत्यं] asatya [स्यात्] chhe. [यथा] jem ke [अत्र] ‘ahīn [देवदत्तः] devadatta [नास्ति] nathī.’
ṭīkāḥ– ‘यस्मिन् स्वद्रव्यक्षेत्रकालभावैः सत् अपि वस्तु निषिध्यते तत् प्रथमं असत्यं स्यात्’– je vachanamān potānā dravya, kṣhetra, kāḷ, bhāvathī sattārūpe vidyamān evā padārthano paṇ niṣhedh karavāmān āve ke padārtha nathī; te pratham bhedarūp asatya chhe. draṣhṭānt kahe chhe– ‘यथा अत्र देवदत्तः नास्ति’– jemake ahīn devadatta nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ– koī kṣhetramān devadatta nāmano puruṣh beṭho hato, tyān koīe pūchhayun ke ahīn devadatta chhe? tyān uttar āpyo ke ahīn to devadatta nathī. ā rīte potānā dravya, kṣhetra, kāḷ, bhāvathī je vastu astirūp hoy tene nāstirūp kahīe te asatyano pratham bhed chhe. asti vastune nāsti kahevun te. je koī te padārtha chhe tene to dravya kahīe. je kṣhetramān ekatvarūp thaīne rahe chhe tene kṣhetra kahīe. je kāḷe je rīte pariṇame tene kāḷ kahīe. te padārthano je kāī nijabhāv chhe tene bhāv kahīe. ā potānān chatuṣhṭayanī apekṣhāe sarva padārtha astitvarūp chhe. ahīn devadattanān potānān chatuṣhṭay to hatān ja, parantu nāstirūp je kahyun te ja asatya vachan thayun. 92.

अन्यदपि यदुत्सूत्रं तत्सर्वं गर्हितं गदितम्।। ९६।।
anvayārthaḥ– [पैशून्यहासगर्भं] duṣhṭatā athavā kuthalīrūp hāsyavāḷun [कर्कशं] kaṭhor, [असमञ्जसं] mithyāshraddhānavāḷun [च] ane [प्रलपितं] pralāparūp (bakavād) tathā [अन्यदपि] bījun paṇ [यत्] je [उत्सूत्रं] shāstra–viruddha vachan chhe [तत्सर्वं] te badhānne [गर्हितं] nindya vachan [गदितम्] kahyun chhe.

तत्सावद्यं यस्मात्प्राणिवधाद्याः प्रवर्तन्ते।। ९७।।
anvayārthaḥ– [यत्] je [छेदनभेदनमारणकर्षणवाणिज्यचौर्यवचनादि] chhedan, bhedan, māraṇ, shoṣhaṇ athavā vyāpār ke chorī ādinā vachan chhe [तत्] te badhān [सावद्यं] pāpayukta vachan chhe, [यस्मात्] kāraṇ ke e [प्राणिवधाद्याः] prāṇīhinsā vagere pāparūpe [प्रवर्तन्ते] pravr̥utti kare chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘यत् छेदन भेदन मारण कर्षण वाणिज्य चौर्य वचनादि तत् सर्वं सावद्यं अस्ति यस्मात् प्राणिवधाद्याः प्रवर्तन्ते’– arthaḥ– je nāk vagere chhedavānun vachan, kāpavānun, māravānun, kheñchavānun, vyāpār karavānun chorī karavānun vagere vachan kahevān te badhun avadyasahit jūṭhanun svarūp chhe. enāthī prāṇīono ghāt thāy chhe. 97.
यदपरमपि तापकरं परस्य
anvayārthaḥ– [यत्] je vachan [परस्य] bījā jīvane [अरतिकरं] aprīti karanār, [भीतिकरं] bhay utpanna karanār, [खेदकरं] khed karanār, [वैरशोककलहकरं] ver shok ane kajiyo karāvanār hoy tathā je [अपरमपि] bījā paṇ [तापकरं] santāpone karāvanārun hoy [तत्] te [सर्वं] badhun ja [अप्रियम्] apriy [ज्ञेयम्] jāṇavun.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘यत् वचनं परस्य अरतिकरं भीतिकरं खेदकरं वैरशोककलहकरं तथा अपरमपि तापकरं तत्सर्वं अप्रियं ज्ञेयम्’– arthaḥ– je vachan bījāne arati karanār arthāt būrun lāge tevun hoy, bhay upajāvanār hoy, khed utpanna karanār hoy, tathā verashok ane kalah karavāvāḷun hoy tathā bījun je duḥkh te utpanna karanār hoy te sarva vachan apriy jūṭhano bhed chhe. 98.

ṭīkāḥ– यत् अस्मिन् सर्वस्मिन् अपि अनृतवचने प्रमत्तयोगैकहेतुकथनं अस्ति तस्मात् अनृतवचने हिंसा नियतं समवतरति’– arthaḥ– ā sarva prakāranān jūṭh vachanomān pramādayog ja kāraṇ chhe tethī jūṭhun vachan bolavāmān hinsā avashya ja thāy chhe, kāraṇ ke hinsā pramādathī ja thāy. pramād vinā hinsā thāy nahi. jyān pramād na hoy tyān hinsā hoy nahi. ane jyān pramād chhe tyān hinsā avashya thāy chhe. ‘‘प्रमत्तयोगात् प्राणव्यपरोपणं हिंसा’’ इति वचनात्– (pramādanā yogathī prāṇono ghāt karavo te hinsā chhe e vachan pramāṇe.) 99.
हेयानुष्ठानादेरनुवदनं भवति
anvayārthaḥ– [सकलवितथवचनानाम्] samasta jūṭh vachanono [प्रमत्तयोगे] pramādasahit yog [हेतौ] hetu [निर्दिष्टे सति] nirdiṣhṭa karavāmān āvyo hovāthī [हेयानुष्ठानादेः] hey–upādeyādi anuṣhṭhānonun [अनुवदनं] kahevun [असत्यम्] jūṭh [न भवति] nathī.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘सकल वितथ वचनानां प्रमत्तयोगे हेतौ निर्दिष्टे सति हेयानुष्ठानादेः अनुवदनं असत्यं न भवति’– arthaḥ– samasta jūṭh vachanonun kāraṇ pramādasahit yogane batāvīne hey ane upādeyanun vāramvār kathan karavun–upadesh karavo te jūṭh nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ– jūṭh vachananā tyāgī mahāmuni hey ane upādeyano vāramvār upadesh kare chhe; tyān pāpanī nindā karatān pāpī jīvane temano upadesh būro lāge, athavā koīne dharmopadesh āpavāthī kharāb lāge, te duḥkh pāme, paṇ te āchāryone jūṭhano doṣh lāgato nathī. kemake temane pramād (kaṣhāy) nathī. pramādapūrvak vachanamān ja hinsā chhe. tethī ja kahyun chhe ke pramādasahit yogathī vachan bolavān te ja jūṭh chhe, anyathā nahi. 100.

bhāvārthaḥ– jūṭhano tyāg be prakāre chhe. ek sarvathā tyāg, bījo ekadesh tyāg. sarvathā tyāg to munidharmamān ja bane chhe tathā ekadesh tyāg shrāvakadharmamān hoy chhe. jo sarvathā tyāg banī shake to uttam ja chhe, kadāch kaṣhāyanā udayathī (arthāt kaṣhāyavash) sarvathā tyāg na bane to ekadesh tyāg to avashya ja karavo joīe. kāraṇ ke shrāvak avasthāmān anya jūṭhanā sarva bhedono tyāg kare chhe paṇ sāvadya jūṭhano tyāg karī shake nahi, to tyān paṇ potānā bhog–upabhoganā nimitte ja sāvadya jūṭh bole, prayojan vinā bole nahi. 101.
anvayārthaḥ– [यत्] je [प्रमत्तयोगात्] pramādakaṣhāyanā yogathī [अवितीर्णस्य] āpyā vinā [परिग्रहस्य] suvarṇa vastrādi parigrahanun [ग्रहणं] grahaṇ kare chhe [तत्] tene [स्तेयं] chorī [प्रत्येयं] jāṇavī joīe. [च] ane [सा एव] te ja [वधस्य] vadhanun [हेतुत्वात्] kāraṇ hovāthī [हिंसा] hinsā chhe.

bhāvārthaḥ– potāne chorī karavānā bhāv thayā te bhāvahinsā ane je potāne chor jāṇatān prāṇano viyog karavāmān āve te dravyahinsā. je jīvanī vastu choravāmān āvī tene antaraṅgamān pīḍā thaī te tenī bhāvahinsā chhe ane te vastunā nimitte tenā je dravyaprāṇ puṣhṭa hatā te puṣhṭa prāṇono nāsh thayo, te dravyaprāṇomān pīḍā thaī e kāraṇe paranī dravyahinsā. ā rīte chorī karavāthī chorī karanāranī tathā jenī chorī thaī chhe tenī dravyahinsā ane bhāvahinsā banne prakāre thāy chhe. 102.
anvayārthaḥ– [यः] je [जनः] manuṣhya [यस्य] je jīvanā [अर्थान्] padārtho athavā dhan [हरति] hare chhe [सः] te manuṣhya [तस्य] te jīvanā [प्राणान्] prāṇ [हरति] hare chhe, kemake jagatamān [ये] je [एते] ā [अर्था नाम] dhanādi padārtho prasiddhi chhe [एते] te badhā ja [पुंसां] manuṣhyone [बहिश्चराः प्राणाः] bāhyaprāṇ [सन्ति] chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘ये एते अर्था नाम एते पुंसाम् बहिश्चराः प्राणाः सन्ति यस्मात् यः जनः यस्य अर्थान् हरति स तस्य प्राणान् हरति’– ā je padārtho chhe te manuṣhyanā bāhyaprāṇ chhe. tethī je jīv jenun dhan hare chhe, chore chhe te tenā prāṇane ja hare chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– dhan, dhānya, sampatti, baḷad, ghoḍā, dās, dāsī, ghar, jamīn, putra, strī, vastrādi jeṭalā padārtho je jīvane chhe te jīvane eṭalā ja bāhyaprāṇ chhe. te padārthomānthī koī padārthano nāsh thatān potānā prāṇaghāt jeṭalun ja duḥkh thāy chhe. tethī padārthone ja prāṇ kahevāmān āvyā chhe. jemake अन्नं वै प्राणाः इति वचनात्– (anna te ja prāṇ chhe e vachan pramāṇe.) 103.

bhāvārthaḥ– jo koī jīvane koī kāḷe (–je samaye) jyān chorī chhe tyān hinsā na hoy to avyāpti nām pāme, paṇ pramād vinā to chorī bane nahi. pramādanun nām ja hinsā chhe ane chorīmān pramād avashya chhe. māṭe em siddha thayun ke jyān jyān chorī chhe tyān tyān avashya ja hinsā chhe. 104.
अपि कर्म्मानुग्रहणे नीरागाणामविद्यमानत्वात्।। १०५।।
anvayārthaḥ– [च] ane [नीरागाणाम्] vītarāgī puruṣhone [प्रमत्तयोगैककारण– विरोधात्] pramādayogarūp ek kāraṇanā virodhathī [कर्म्मानुग्रहणे] dravyakarma nokarmanī karmavargaṇāo grahaṇ karavāmān [अपि] nishchayathī [स्तेयस्य] chorī [अविद्यमानत्वात्] upasthit na hovāthī [तयोः] te bannemān arthāt hinsā ane chorīmān [अतिव्याप्तिः] ativyāpti paṇ [न] nathī.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘ये (जीवाः) निपानतोयादिहरणविनिवृत्तिम् कर्तुं असमर्थाः तैः (जीवैः) अपि नित्यं समस्तं अपरंअदत्तं परित्याज्यम्’– je jīvo kuvā, nadīnun, jaḷathī māṇḍīne māṭī vagere vastuo–je sāmānya janatānā upayogane māṭe hoy chhe–tenā grahaṇano tyāg karavā ashakta chhe te jīvoe paṇ hammeshā bījānī dīdhā sivāyanī badhī vastuonā grahaṇano tyāg karavo joīe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘यत् वेदरागयोगात् मैथुनं अभिधीयते तत् अब्रह्म भवति तत्र हिंसा अवतरति (यतः) सर्वत्र वधस्य सद्भावात्’– je puruṣhaved, strīved ane napunsakavedanā pariṇamanarūp rāgabhāv sahitanā yogathī maithun arthāt strī–puruṣhe maḷīne kāmasevan karavun te kushīl chhe. te kushīlamān hinsā utpanna thāy chhe kāraṇ ke kushīl karanār ane karāvanārane sarvatra hinsāno sadbhāv chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ– strīnī yoni, nābhi, kuch ane kāṅkhamān manuṣhyākāranā asañgnī pañchendriy jīv utpanna thāy chhe, tethī strī sāthe sahavās karavāthī dravyahinsā thāy chhe ane strī–puruṣh bannene kāmarūp pariṇām thāy chhe tethī bhāvahinsā thāy chhe. sharīranī shithilatādinā nimitte potānā dravyaprāṇano ghāt thāy chhe. par jīv strī ke puruṣhanā vikār pariṇāmanun kāraṇ chhe athavā tene pīḍā ūpaje chhe, tenā pariṇām vikārī thāy chhe tethī anya jīvanā bhāvaprāṇano ghāt thāy chhe. vaḷī maithunamān ghaṇān jīvo mare chhe, e rīte anya jīvanā dravyaprāṇano ghāt thāy chhe. 107.
बहवो जीवा योनौ हिंस्यन्ते मैथुने तद्वत्।। १०८।।
anvayārthaḥ– [यद्वत्] jem [तिलनाल्यां] talanī naḷīmān [तप्तायसि विनिहिते] tapelā lokhaṇḍano saḷiyo nākhavāthī [तिलाः] tal [हिंस्यन्ते] baḷī jāy chhe [तद्वत्] tem [मैथुने] maithun vakhate [योनौ] yonimān paṇ [बहवो जीवाः] ghaṇā jīvo [हिंस्यन्ते] mare chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘यद्वत् तिलनाल्यां तप्तायसि विनिहिते (सति) तिलाः हिंस्यन्ते तद्वत् योनौ मैथुने (कृते सति) बहवो जीवाः हिंस्यन्ते’– jem talathī bharelī naḷīmān tapāvelo lokhaṇḍano saḷiyo nākhavāthī te naḷīnā badhā tal baḷī jāy chhe tem strīnā aṅgamān puruṣhanān aṅgathī maithun karavāmān āvatān yonigat je jīvo hoy chhe te badhā tarat ja maraṇ pāme chhe e ja pragaṭarūpe dravyahinsā chhe. 108.

तत्रापि भवति हिंसा रागाद्युत्पत्तितन्त्रत्वात्।। १०९।।
anvayārthaḥ– ane [अपि] e uparānt [मदनोद्रेकात्] kāmanī utkaṭatāthī [यत् किञ्चित्] je kāī [अनङ्गरमणादि] anaṅgakrīḍā [क्रियते] karavāmān āve chhe [तत्रापि] temān paṇ [रागाद्युत्पत्तितन्त्रत्वात्] rāgādinī utpattine kāraṇe [हिंसा] hinsā [भवति] thāy chhe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘यत् अपि मदनोद्रेकात् अनङ्गरमणादि किञ्चित् क्रियते तत्रापि हिंसा भवति रागाद्युत्पत्तितन्त्रत्वात्’– je jīv tīvra chāritramoh karmanā udayathī (udayamān joḍāvāthī) tīvra kāmavikār thavāne līdhe anaṅgakrīḍā kare chhe tyān paṇ hinsā thāy chhe. kemake hinsānun thavun rāgādinī utpattine ādhīn chhe. jo rāgādi na thāy to hinsā kadī thaī shakatī nathī. māṭe e siddha thayun ke anaṅgakrīḍāmān paṇ hinsā thāy chhe. 109.
निःशेषशेषयोषिन्निषेवणं तैरपि न कार्यम्।। ११०।।
anvayārthaḥ– [ये] je jīv [मोहात्] mohane līdhe [निजकलत्रमात्रं] potānī vivāhitā strīne ja [परिहर्तुं] chhoḍavāne [हि] nishchayathī [न शक्नुवन्ति] samartha nathī [तैः] temaṇe [निःशेषशेषयोषिन्निषेवणं अपि] bākīnī strīonun sevan to avashya ja [न] na [कार्यम्] karavun joīe.
ṭīkāḥ– ‘ये (जीवाः) हि मोहात् निजकलत्रमात्रं परिहर्तुं हि न शक्नुवन्ति तैरपि निःशेषशेषयोषिन्निषेवणं न कार्यम्’– je jīv apratyākhyānāvaraṇ chāritramohanīyanā udayathī (–udayavashe)potānī vivāhitā strīne chhoḍavāne shaktimān nathī teoe (vivāhitā strī sivāyanī) sansāranī samasta strīo sāthe kāmasevan na karavun potānī vivāhitā strīmān ja santoṣh rākhavo. e ekadesh brahmacharyavrat chhe, tathā strīmātranī sāthe kāmasevan karavāno tyāg karavo te mahāvrat chhe. 110.
