parigrah pāpanun svarūp

या मूर्च्छा नामेयं विज्ञातव्यः परिग्रहो ह्येषः।
मोहोदयादुदीर्णो
मूर्च्छा तु ममत्वपरिणामः।। १११।।

anvayārthaḥ– [इयं][या] je [मूर्च्छा नाम] mūrchchhā chhe [एषः] ene ja [हि] nishchayathī [परिग्रहः] parigrah [विज्ञातव्यः] jāṇavo joīe. [तु] ane [मोहोदयात्] mohanā udayathī [उदीर्णः] utpanna thayel [ममत्वपरिणामः] mamatvarūp pariṇām ja [मूर्च्छा] mūrchchhā chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘या इयं मूर्च्छा नाम हि एषः परिग्रहः विज्ञातव्यः तु (पुनः) मोहोदयात् उदीर्णः ममत्वपरिणाम मूर्च्छा (अस्ति)’ – he bhavya jīvo! je ā mūrchchhā chhe te ja kharekhar parigrah chhe. mūrchchhā eṭale shun? te kahe chhe. chāritramohanīy karmanā udayathī udayane prāpta thayel je mamatvapariṇām (arthāt ā mārun chhe evā pariṇām) tene ja mūrchchhā kahe chhe. 111.

mamatvapariṇām ja vāstavik parigrah chhe e vātane draḍh kare chheḥ–

मूर्छालक्षणकरणात् सुघटा व्याप्तिः परिग्रहत्वस्य।
सग्रन्थो मूर्च्छावान विनापि
किल शेषमङ्गेभ्यः।। ११२।।

anvayārthaḥ– [परिग्रहत्वस्य] parigrahapaṇānun [मूर्छालक्षणकरणात्] mūrchhā lakṣhaṇ karavāthī [व्याप्तिः] vyāpti [सुघटा] sārī rīte ghaṭit thāy chhe, kem ke [शेषसङ्गेभ्यः] bījā parigrah [विना अपि] vinā paṇ [मूर्छावान्] mūrchhā karanār puruṣh [किल] nishchayathī [सग्रन्थः] bāhya parigrah sahit chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘परिग्रहत्वस्य मूर्छालक्षणकरणात् व्याप्तिः सुघटा (यतः) किल शेषसंगेभ्यः विना अपि मूर्छावान् सग्रन्थः भवति’– parigrahanā bhāvanun lakṣhaṇ mūrchchhā karyun temān vyāpti barābar bane chhe. kem ke dhan–dhānyādi bāhya parigrah vinā paṇ mamatvapariṇāmavāḷo jīv parigrah sahit hoy chhe.

bhāvārthaḥ– sāhacharyanā niyamane vyāpti kahe chhe, arthāt jyān lakṣhaṇ hoy tyān lakṣhya paṇ hoy tenun nām vyāpti chhe. tethī jyān jyān mūrchchhā chhe tyān tyān avashya parigrah chhe ane jyān mūrchchhā nathī tyān parigrah paṇ nathī. mūrchchhānī parigrahanī sāthe

vyāpti chhe. koī jīv nagna chhe, bāhya parigrahathī rahit chhe, paṇ jo antaraṅgamān mūrchchhā arthāt mamatvapariṇām chhe to te parigrahavān ja chhe. ane ek mamatvanā tyāgī digambar munine pīñchhī, kamaṇḍaḷarūp bāhya parigrah hovā chhatān paṇ antaraṅgamān mamatva nathī tethī te vāstavik parigrahathī rahit ja chhe. 112.

shaṅkākāranī shaṅkā

यद्येवं भवति तदा परिग्रहो न खलु कोऽपि बहिरङ्ग।
भवति नितरां यतोऽसौ
धत्ते मूर्छानिमित्तत्वम्।। ११३।।

anvayārthaḥ– [यदि]jo [एवं] ām [भवति] chhe arthāt mūrchchhā ja parigrah hoy [तदा to [खलु] nishchayathī [बहिरङ्गः परिग्रहः] bāhya parigrah [कः अपि] kāī paṇ [न भवति] nahi siddha thāy, to em nathī [यतः] kem ke [असौ] e bāhya parigrah [मूर्छानिमित्तत्वम्] mūrchchhānā nimittapaṇāne [नितरां] atishayapaṇe [धत्ते] dhāraṇ kare chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– prashna– ‘खलु यदि एवं भवति तदा बहिरंगः कोऽपि परिग्रहः न (स्यात्)

uttaraḥ– यः असौ (बहिरंगः) नितरां मूर्छानिमित्तत्वम् धत्ते’– ahīn koī prashna kare chhe ke jo nishchayathī mūrchchhānun ja nām parigrah chhe to pachhī dhan–dhānyādi bāhyavastu parigrah na ṭharī. ene parigrah shā māṭe kaho chho? shrīguru uttar āpe chheḥ–ā bāhya dhan–dhānyādi to atyantapaṇe parigrah chhe kem ke bāhyavastu ja mūrchchhānun kāraṇ chhe.

bhāvārthaḥ– parigrahanun lakṣhaṇ to mūrchchhā ja chhe. paṇ bāhya dhan–dhānyādi vastu mūrchchhā upajāvavāne (nimitta) kāraṇ chhe māṭe tene paṇ parigrah kahīe chhīe. 113.

shaṅkākāranī shaṅkā

एवमतिव्याप्तिः स्यात्परिग्रहस्येति चेद्भवेन्नैवम्।
यस्मादकषायाणां कर्मग्रहणे
न मूर्च्छास्ति।। ११४।।

anvayārthaḥ– [एवं] ā rīte [परिग्रहस्य] bāhya parigrahanī [अतिव्याप्तिः] ativyāpti [स्यात्] thāy chhe [इति चेत्] em jo kadāch kaho to [एवं] em [न भवेत्] thatun nathī [यस्मात्] kāraṇ ke [अकषायाणां] kaṣhāyarahit arthāt vītarāgī puruṣhone [कर्मग्रहणे] kārmaṇavargaṇānā grahaṇamān [मूर्च्छा] mūrchchhā [नास्ति] nathī.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘एवं परिग्रहस्य अतिव्याप्तिः स्यात् इति चेत् न एवं भवेत् यस्मात् अकषायाणां कर्मग्रहणे मूर्च्छा नास्ति’– arthaḥ– ahīn koī prashna kare ke jo parigrahane mūrchchhā utpanna karavānun nishchayakāraṇ kahesho to (मूर्च्छा परिग्रहः) e lakṣhaṇamān ativyāpti doṣh āvashe, kemake arhant avasthāmān paṇ kārmaṇavargaṇā tathā nokarmavargaṇā–e bannenā grahaṇarūp parigrah chhe tyān paṇ mūrchchhā thaī jashe. to tem nathī, kāraṇ ke kaṣhāyarahit jīvone karma–nokarmanun grahaṇ hovā chhatān paṇ mūrchchhā arthāt mamatvapariṇām nathī.

bhāvārthaḥ– ativyāpti to tyāre thāy jo niṣhparigrahī vītarāgī mahāpuruṣhone mūrchchhā hoy. te to temane hotī nathī, māṭe vītarāgī arhant bhagavānane karma–nokarmanun grahaṇ hovā chhatān paṇ mūrchchhā vinā parigrah nām pāmatun nathī. tethī ativyāpti doṣh nathī. bāhyavastu mūrchchhā upajāvavānun kāraṇamātra chhe tethī tene upachārathī parigrah kahī dīdhel chhe. vāstavamān parigrahanun lakṣhaṇ mūrchchhā ja chhe. 114.

parigrahanā bhed

अतिसंक्षेपाद् द्विविधः स भवेदाभ्यन्तरश्च बाह्यश्च।
प्रथमश्चतुर्दशविधो भवति द्विविधो
द्वितीयस्तु।। ११५।।

anvayārthaḥ– [सः] te parigrah [अतिसंक्षेपात्] atyant saṅkṣhiptapaṇe [आभ्यन्तरः] antaraṅg [च] ane [बाह्मः] bahiraṅg [द्विविधः] be prakāre [भवेत्] chhe [च] ane [प्रथमः] pahelo antaraṅg parigrah [चतुर्दशविधः] chaud prakārano [तु] tathā [द्वितीयः] bījo bahiraṅg parigrah [द्विविधः] be prakārano [भवति] chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘स (परिग्रहः) अति संक्षेपात् द्विविधः आभ्यन्तरः बाह्यश्च प्रथमः (आभ्यन्तरः) चतुर्दशविधः भवति द्वितीयस्तु द्विविधः भवति’– arthaḥ– te parigrah saṅkṣhepamān be prakārano chhe. pahelo ābhyantar, bījo bāhya. antaraṅg ātmānā pariṇāmane ābhyantar parigrah kahe chhe ane bahāranā badhā padārthone bāhya parigrah kahe chhe. pahelo parigrah chaud prakārano chhe, bījo bāhya parigrah be prakārano chhe. 11p.

ābhyantar parigrahanā chaud bhed

मिथ्यात्ववेदरागास्तथैव हास्यादयश्च षड् दोषा।

anvayārthaḥ– [मिथ्यात्ववेदरागाः] mithyātva, strī, puruṣh ane napunsak vedanā rāg [तथैव च] e ja rīte [हास्यादयः] hāsyādi arthāt hāsya, rati, arati, shok, bhay, jugupsā e [षड् दोषाः] chha doṣh [च] ane [चत्वारः] chār arthāt krodh, mān, māyā, lobh athavā anantānubandhī, apratyākhyānāvaraṇī, pratyākhyānāvaraṇī ane sañjvalan e chār [कषाया] kaṣhāyabhāv–ā rīte [आभ्यन्तराः ग्रन्थाः] antaraṅg parigrah [चतुर्दश] chaud chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘आभ्यन्तराः ग्रन्थाः मिथ्यात्ववेदरागाः तथैव हास्यादयः षड् दोषाः च चत्वारः कषायाः –चतुर्दश (भवति)’– arthaḥ– ābhyantar parigrah 14 prakārano chhe. 1 mithyātva, 2 puruṣhaved, 3 strīved, 4 napunsakaved tathā pa hāsya, 6 rati, 7 arati, 8 shok, 9bhay, 10 jugupsā ane 11 krodh, 12 mān, 13 māyā, 14 lobh–e 14 ābhyantar parigrah chhe. 116.

bāhya parigrahanā be bhed

अथ निश्चित्तसचितौ बाह्यस्य परिग्रहस्य भेदौ द्वौ।
नैषः कदापि सङ्गः सर्वोऽप्यतिवर्तते
हिंसाम्।। ११७।।

anvayārthaḥ– [अथ] tyār pachhī [बाह्यस्य] bahiraṅg [परिग्रहस्य] parigrahanān [निश्चित्तसचित्तौ] achitta ane sachitta e [द्वौ] be [भेदौ] bhed chhe. [एषः] [सर्वः अपि] badhāy [सङ्ग] parigrah [कदापि] koīpaṇ kāḷe [हिंसाम्] hinsānun [न अतिवर्तते] ullaṅghan karatā nathī arthāt koīpaṇ parigrah kadīpaṇ hinsārahit nathī.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘अथ बाह्यस्य परिग्रहस्य निश्चित सचित्तौ द्वौ भेदौ (भवतः) एषः सर्वोऽपि (परिग्रहः) सङ्ग हिंसाम् कदापि न अतिवर्तते’– arthaḥ– bāhya parigrahanān chetan ane achetan e be bhed chhe. ā je badhoy parigrah chhe te hinsānun ullaṅghan karato nathī, arthāt hinsā vinā parigrah hoto nathī. 117.

उभयपरिग्रहवर्जंनमाचार्याः सूचयन्त्यहिंसेति।

banne parigrahomān hinsā chhe em batāve chheḥ–

हिंसापर्यायत्वात् सिद्धा हिंसान्तरङ्गसङ्गेषु।
बहिरङ्गेषु तु नियतं प्रयातु र्मर्छैव हिंसात्वम्।। ११९।।

anvayārthaḥ– [हिंसापर्यायत्वात्] hinsānā paryāyarūp hovāthī [अन्तरङ्गसङ्गेषु] antaraṅg parigrahomān [हिंसा] hinsā [सिद्धा] svayansiddha chhe [तु] ane [बहिरङ्गेषु] bahiraṅg parigrahomān [मूर्छा] mamatvapariṇām [एव] ja [हिंसात्वम्] hinsābhāvane [नियतम्] nishchayathī [प्रयातु] prāpta thāy chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘अन्तरंगसंगेषु हिंसापर्यायत्वात् हिंसा सिद्धा तु (पुनः) बहिरङ्गेषु नियतं मूर्छैव हिंसात्वं प्रयातु’– antaraṅg 14 prakāranā parigrahomān badhā ja bhed hinsānā paryāy hovāthī hinsā siddha ja chhe. bahiraṅg parigrahamān nishchayathī mamatvapariṇām chhe te hinsāne prāpta thāy chhe.

bhāvārthaḥ– antaraṅg parigrah je mithyātvādi 14 prakārano chhe te badhun jīvanun vibhāv (–vikārī) pariṇām chhe. te kāraṇe te to hinsā ja chhe, parantu bāhyavastumān paṇ nishchayathī mamatvapariṇām chhe te ja hinsānun kāraṇ chhe. bāhyavastumān je mamatvapariṇām chhe tenun ja nām parigrah chhe. kevaḷīne samavasaraṇādi vibhūti hoy chhe paṇ mamatvapariṇām vinā parigrah nathī. athavā je koī parigrahane aṅgīkār karīne kahe ke māre to mamatvapariṇām nathī to te jūṭhun chhe, kāraṇ ke mamatva vinā aṅgīkār thāy nahi. 119.

jo bahiraṅg padārthamān mamatvapariṇāmanun hovun ja parigrah chhe to badhāmān sarakho ja parigrahajanya pāpabandh thavo joīe.

anvayārthaḥ– [एवं] jo em ja hoy arthāt bahiraṅg parigrahamān mamatvapariṇāmanun nām ja mūrchhā hoy to [उन्दुरुरिपुहरिणशावकादीनां] bilāḍī ane haraṇanān bachchān vageremā[विशेषः] kāī visheṣhatā [न स्यात्] nahi rahe. paṇ [एवं] em [न भवति] nathī, kāraṇ ke [मूर्छाविशेषेण] mamatvapariṇāmonī visheṣhatāthī [तेषां] te bilāḍī ane haraṇanā bachchān vagere jīvomān [विशेषः] visheṣhatā chhe, arthāt samānatā nathī.

ṭīkāḥ– prashna–‘यदि एवं हि तर्हि उन्दुरुरिपु–हरिणशावकादीनाम् विशेषः न।

uttaraḥ– एवं न भवति–तेषां मूर्छाविशेषण विशेषः भवति।’– ahīn koī shaṅkā kare chhe ke jo bāhya padārthamān ja mamatvapariṇām hinsānun kāraṇ chhe ane te mamatvapariṇām sāmānya rīte badhā jīvone hoy chhe to badhā ja jīvone sarakhun pāp thavun joīe. jem ke mānsāhārī bilāḍī ane ghās khānār haraṇanā bachchāmān bhojan karavā sambandhī mamatvapariṇām sāmānyapaṇe sarakhā ja chhe. tyāre āchārya bhagavān tene uttar āpe chhe ke em nathī. bilāḍī ane haraṇanān bachchānnī bābatamān paṇ visheṣhatā chhe, samānatā nathī. kemake bilāḍīne to māns khāvānā pariṇām chhe ane haraṇanān bachchānne ghās khāvānā pariṇām chhe. bas, ā mamatvavisheṣh hovāthī visheṣhatā chhe. 120.

mamatva–mūrchhāmān visheṣhatā

हरिततृणाङ्कुरचारिणिमन्दा मृगशावके भवति मूर्छा।
उन्दुरनिकरोन्माथिनि मार्जारे सैव
जायते तीव्रा।। १२१।।

anvayārthaḥ– [हरिततृणाङ्कुरचारिणि] līlā ghāsanā aṅkur khānār [मृगशावके] haraṇanā bachchāmān [मूर्छा] mūrchhā [मन्दा] mand [भवति] hoy chhe ane [स एव] te ja mūrchhā [उन्दुरनिकरोन्माथिनि] undaronā samūhanun unmathan karanār [मार्जारे] bilāḍīmān [तीव्रा] tīvra [जायते] hoy chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘हरिततृणाङ्कुरचारिणि मृगशावके मन्दा मूर्छा भवति तथा सैव मूर्छा उन्दुरनिकरोन्माथिनि मार्जारे तीव्रा जायते’– arthaḥ–līlā ghāsanā aṅkur khānār

bhāvārthaḥ– pratham to haraṇanā bachchāne līlā ghāsamān adhik lālasā nathī, pachhī khāvāmān ghaṇī sarāgatā paṇ nathī tathā khātī vakhate jo jarāpaṇ bhay prāpta thāy to te ja vakhate chhoḍīne bhāgī jāy chhe. tethī jaṇāy chhe ke tene atyant āsakti nathī. undaronā samūhane māranār bilāḍīne undar khāvānī lālasā ghaṇī chhe, pachhī undarone māryā pachhī tene khāvāmān sarāgatā paṇ ghaṇī chhe tathā je vakhate te undarone khātī hoy tyāre tenā upar lākaḍī paṇ paḍe toye mahāmushkelīe tene chhoḍe chhe, tethī jaṇāy chhe ke haraṇanā bachchā ane bilāḍīnī mūrchchhāmān ghaṇo pher chhe. evī ja rīte ghaṇā ārambh–parigrahavāḷā ane alpa ārambh–parigrahavāḷāmān paṇ taphāvat jāṇavo. 121.

āgaḷ ā prayojan siddha kare chheḥ–

निर्बाधं संसिध्येत् कार्यविशेषो हि कारणविशेषात्।
औधस्यखण्डयोरिह माधुर्य्यप्रीतिभेद
इव।। १२२।।

anvayārthaḥ– [औधस्यखण्डयोः] dūdh ane sākaramān [माधुर्य्यप्रीतिभेदः इव] madhuratānā prītibhedanī jem [इह] ā lokamān [हि] nishchayathī [कारणविशेषात्] kāraṇanī visheṣhatāthī [कार्यविशेषः] kāryanī visheṣhatā [निर्बाधं] bādhārahitapaṇe [संसिध्यते्] sārī rīte siddha thāy chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– हि कारणविशेषात् कार्यविशेषः निर्बाध संसिध्येत् यथा औधस्यखण्डयोः इह माधुर्य्यप्रीतिभेदः इव भवति– arthaḥ– nishchayathī kāraṇanī visheṣhatā hovāthī kāryanī visheṣhatā chhe. jem gāyanā dūdhamān ane khāṇḍamān ochhīvattī miṭhāsh hoy chhe te ja ochhīvattī prīti utpanna kare chhe. gāyanā stan upar je dūdh rahevānī thelī chhe tene audh kahe chhe, temānthī utpanna thayelane audhas eṭale dūdh kahe chhe.

bhāvārthaḥ– evo niyam chhe ke jevun kāraṇ hoy tevun ja kārya utpanna thāy chhe. jem dūdhamān miṭhāsh ochhī chhe ane sākaramān miṭhāsh vadhāre chhe tethī dūdhamān prīti ochhī thāy chhe ane sākaramān prīti vadhāre thāy chhe. 122.

udāharaṇ kahe chheḥ–

माधुर्यप्रीतिः किल दुग्धे मन्दैव मन्दमाधुर्ये।
सैवोत्कटमाधुर्ये

anvayārthaḥ– [किल] nishchayathī [मन्दमाधुर्ये] ochhī miṭhāshavāḷā [दुग्धे] dūdhamān [माधुर्यप्रीतिः] miṭhāshanī ruchi [मन्दा] thoḍī [एव] ja [व्यपदिश्यते] kahevāmān āve chhe ane [सा एव] te ja miṭhāshanī ruchi [उत्कटमाधुर्ये] atyant miṭhāshavāḷī [खण्डे] sākaramān [तीव्रा] adhik kahevāmān āve chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘किल मन्दमाधुर्ये दुग्धे माधुर्यप्रीतिः मंदा व्यपदिश्यते तथा सेव माधुर्यप्रीतिः उत्कटमाधुर्ये खण्डे तीव्रा व्यपदिश्यते’– arthaḥ– nishchayathī thoḍī miṭhāshavāḷā dūdhamān miṣhṭarasanī ruchivāḷā puruṣhane ruchi bahu thoḍī hoy chhe ane ghaṇī miṭhāshavāḷī sākaramān te ja puruṣhane ruchi ghaṇī vadhāre hoy chhe.

bhāvārthaḥ– jem koī manuṣhya miṣhṭarasano abhilāṣhī chhe to tenī ruchi dūdhamān ochhī hoy chhe ane khāṇḍamān vadhāre hoy chhe; tem je manuṣhyane jeṭalo padārthomān mamatvabhāv hashe te te puruṣh teṭalo ja hinsāno bhāgīdār thashe, vadhāreno nahi. bhale tenī pāse te padārtho hājar hoy ke na hoy. ahīn koī ghaṇā ārambh–parigrah karavāvāḷo jīv kahe ke amane mamatvabhāv nathī, paṇ parigrah ghaṇo chhe to em banī shake nahi. kem ke jo mamatvabhāv nahoto to bāhya parigrah ekatra ja shā māṭe karyo? ane jo bāhya parigrah hovā chhatān paṇ te jo mamatvano tyāgī hoy to te ā bāhya padārthone ek kṣhaṇamān chhoḍī shake chhe. māṭe siddha thayun ke mamatvabhāv vinā bāhya padārthono saṅgrah thaī shakato nathī. jem jem āpaṇo mamatvabhāv vadhato jāy chhe tem tem āpaṇe bāhya padārthono saṅgrah paṇ karatā jaīe chhīe. bhāvahinsā vinā dravyahinsā banī shake chhe paṇ mamatvabhāv vinā bāhya padārthono saṅgrah thaī shakato nathī. 123.

bākīnā bījā batāve chheḥ–

प्रविहाय च द्वितीयान् देशचरित्रस्य सन्मुखायातः।
नियतं ते हि कषायाः देशचरित्रं
निरुन्धन्ति।। १२५।।

बहिरङ्गादपि सङ्गात् यस्मात्प्रभवत्यसंयमोऽनुचितः।
परिवर्जयेदशेषं
तमचित्तं वा सचित्तं वा।। १२७।।

anvayārthaḥ– [वा] tathā [तम्] te bāhya parigrahane [अचित्तं] bhale te achetan hoy [वा] ke [सचित्तं] sachetan hoy, [अशेषं] sampūrṇapaṇe [परिवर्जयेत्] chhoḍī devā joīe. [यस्मात्] kāraṇ ke [बहिरङ्गात्] bahiraṅg [सङ्गात्] parigrahathī [अपि] paṇ [अनुचितः] ayogya athavā nindya [असंयमः] asanyam [प्रभवति] thāy chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘यस्मात् बहिरंगात् अपि संगात् अनुचितः असंयमः भवति तस्मात् चं अचित्तं सचित्तं वा अशेषं परिग्रहं परिवर्जयेत्’–arthaḥ– jethī bāhya dhan–dhānyādi parigrahathī paṇ mahān asanyam thāy chhe arthāt jyānsudhī parigrah rahe chhe tyānsudhī sanyamanun sārī rīte pālan thaī shakatun nathī. tethī te bāhya parigrah bhale sajīv hoy ke ajīv hoy– banne prakārano parigrah chhoḍavo joīe.

bhāvārthaḥ– bāhya parigrahamān sansāranā jeṭalā koī padārtho chhe te badhā prāyaḥ āvī jāy chhe. tethī bāhya parigrahanān sajīv ane ajīv evā be bhed karyā chhe. rūpiyā, paisā khetī vagere ajīv parigrah chhe ane hāthī, ghoḍā, baḷad, nokar, chākar e sajīv parigrah chhe. eno paṇ tyāg ekadesh ane sarvadesh thāy chhe. 127.

je sarvadesh tyāg na karī shake te ekadesh tyāg kare

योऽपि न शक्यस्त्यक्तुं धनधान्यमनुष्यवास्तुवित्तादिः।
सोऽपि
तनूकरणीयो निवृत्तिरूपं यतस्तत्त्वम्।। १२८।।

bhāvārthaḥ– bahiraṅg parigrah mūḷ sajīv ane ajīvanā bhedathī be prakāranā chhe. bannenā dash bhed chhe. khetar, makān, chāndī, sonun, dhan, chār pagavāḷā pashu, vastra–pātra, anāj, 1 dāsī, dās vagere e bāhya parigrahanā dash bhed chhe. eno jo sampūrṇa tyāg na karī shake to temānthī potānī jarūr jeṭalānun parimāṇ karīne rākhe ane bākīnāno tyāg kare, kāraṇ ke tyāgarūp ja tattvanun svarūp chhe. jyānsudhī ā ātmā 2 tyāgadharmanun ācharaṇ nahi kare tyānsudhī tene mokṣha maḷashe nahi. nivr̥utti nām paṇ mokṣhanun ja chhe. ā rīte hinsādi pāñche pāponun vistr̥ut varṇan karyun. 128.

रात्रौ भुञ्जानानां यस्मादनिवारिता भवति हिंसा।
हिंसाविरतैस्तस्मात् त्यक्तव्या
रात्रिभुक्तिरपि।। १२९।।

anvayārthaḥ– [यस्मात्] kāraṇ ke [रात्रौ] rātre [भुञ्जानानां] bhojan karanārāne [हिंसा] hinsā [अनिवारिता] anivārya [भवति] thāy chhe. svāshrayanā baḷ vaḍe tyāg karāvavā māṭe bāhya padārthanā tyāgano upadesh chhe. vāstavamān to
ātmāne paravastuno tyāg ja chhe paṇ je kāī rāg, mamatvabhāv chhe tenā tyāgarūp nirmaḷ pariṇām
jeṭalā anshe thāy chhe teṭalā ja anshe rāgādinī utpatti thatī ja nathī. jyān āvun hoy tyān te
jīvane par vastunā tyāgano kartā kahevo te te jātanā abhāvarūp nimittanun gnān karāvavā māṭe
asadbhūt vyavahāranayanun kathan chhe. (nishchayasamyagdarshan vinā agnānīnā haṭharūp tyāgane vyavahāre
paṇ dharma sañgnā nathī.)

ṭīkāḥ– ‘यस्मात् रात्रौ भुञ्जानानां अनिवारिता हिंसा भवति तस्मात् हिंसाविरतैंः रात्रिभुक्तिः अपि त्यक्तव्या’–arthaḥ–rātre khānārane hinsā avashya ja thāy chhe māṭe hinsānā tyāgīoe rātribhojanano tyāg avashya ja karavo joīe.

bhāvārthaḥ– rātre bhojan karavāthī jīvonī hinsā avashya thāy chhe. prāyaḥ evān nānān nānān ghaṇān jantuo chhe ke je rātre ja gaman kare chhe ane dīvānā prakāshanā premathī dīvānī (dīpakanī) pāse āve chhe, māṭe rātre chūlo saḷagāvavāmān, pāṇī ādi bharavāmān, ghaṇṭīthī daḷavāmān, bhojan banāvavāmān niyamathī asaṅkhya jantuono ghāt thāy chhe. māṭe hinsāno tyāg karanār dayāḷu manuṣhyoe rātre khāvāno avashya tyāg karavo joīe.

rātribhojanamān bhāvahinsā paṇ thāy chheḥ–

रागाद्युदयपरत्वादनिवृत्तिर्नातिवर्तते हिंसाम्।
रात्रिं दिवमाहरतः कथं हि हिंसा न संभवति।। १३०।।

anvayārthaḥ– [अनिवृतिः] atyāgabhāv [रागाद्युदयपरत्वात्] rāgādibhāvonā udayanī utkaṭatāthī [हिंसाम्] hinsāne [न अतिवर्तते] ullaṅghīne vartatā nathī, to [रात्रिं दिवम्] rāte ane divase [आहरतः] āhār karanārane [हि] nishchayathī [हिंसा] hinsā [कथं] kem [न संभवति] na sambhave?

ṭīkāḥ– ‘रागादिउदयपरत्वात् अनिवृत्तिः अत्यागः हिंसां न अतिवर्तते यतः रात्रिं दिवं आहरतः–भुञ्जानस्य हि हिंसा कथं न संभवति?–अपितु संभवति एव।’– arthaḥ–rāgādibhāv utkr̥uṣhṭa hovāne līdhe rāgādinun atyāgapaṇun hinsānun ullaṅghan karī shakatun nathī. arthāt jyānsudhī rāgādino tyāg nathī tyān sudhī ahinsā nathī, hinsā ja chhe. to pachhī rāte ane divase khānārane hinsā kem na hoy? niyamathī hoy ja. rāgādinun hovun ja vāstavik hinsānun lakṣhaṇ chhe. 130.

shaṅkākāranī shaṅkā

यद्येवं तर्हि दिवा कर्तव्यो भोजनस्य परिहारः।
भोक्तव्यं तु निशायां नेत्थं नित्यं भवति हिंसा।। १३१।।

āchārya teno uttar āpe chheḥ–

नैवं वासरभुक्तेर्भवति हि रागोऽधिको रजनिभुक्तौ।
अन्नकवलस्य भुक्तेर्भुक्ताविव
मांसकवलस्य।। १३२।।

anvayārthaḥ– [एवं न] em nathī. kāraṇ ke [अन्नकवलस्य] annanā koḷiyānā [भुक्तेः] bhojanathī [मांसकवलस्य] mānsanā koḷiyānā [भुक्तौ इव] bhojanamān jem rāg adhik thāy chhe tevī ja rīte [वासरभुक्तेः] divasanā bhojan karatān [रजनिभुक्तौ] rātribhojanamān [हि] nishchayathī [रागाधिकः] adhik rāg [भवति] thāy chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘हि रजनिभुक्तौ अधिकः रागः भवति वासरभुक्ते एवं न भवति यथा अन्नकवलस्य भुक्तौ मांसकवलस्य भुक्तौ इव’–arthaḥ–nishchayathī rātre bhojan karavāmān adhik rāgabhāv chhe ane divase bhojan karavāmān ochho rāgabhāv chhe. jem annanā bhojanamān rāgabhāv ochho chhe ane mānsanā bhojanamān rāgabhāv adhik chhe.

bhāvārthaḥ– peṭ bharavānī apekṣhāe to banne bhojan sarakhā ja chhe. paṇ pratyek prāṇīne anna, dūdh, ghī, vagere khāvāmān to sādhāraṇ rāgabhāv chhe arthāt ochhī lolupatā chhe kem ke annano āhār to sarva manuṣhyone sahya ja chhe tethī prāyaḥ ghaṇā prāṇīo to annanun ja bhojan kare chhe; paṇ mānsanā bhojanamān kāmādinī apekṣhāe athavā sharīranā mohanī apekṣhāe visheṣh rāgabhāv hoy chhe kemake mānsanun bhojan badhā manuṣhyono svābhāvik–prākr̥itik āhār nathī. tevī ja rīte divasanā bhojanamān prāyaḥ badhā prāṇīono sādhāraṇ rāgabhāv chhe kemake divasanun bhojan sarva prāṇīone hoy chhe, ane rātanā bhojanamān kāmādinī apekṣhāe tathā sharīramān adhik snehanī

rātribhojanamān dravyahinsā

अर्कालोकेन विना भुञ्जानः परिहरेत् कथं हिंसाम्।
अपि बोधितः प्रदीपे
भोज्यजुषां सूक्ष्मजीवानाम्।। १३३।।

anvayārthaḥ– tathā [अर्कालोकेन विना] sūryanā prakāsh vinā rātre [भुञ्जानः] bhojan karanār manuṣhya [बोधितः प्रदीपे] saḷagāvelā dīvāmān [अपि] paṇ [भोज्यजुषां] bhojanamān maḷelā [सूक्ष्मजीवानाम्] sūkṣhma jantuonī [हिंसा] hinsā [कथं] kevī rīte [परिहरेत्] chhoḍī shake?

ṭīkāḥ– ‘बोधिते प्रदीपे अपि अर्कालोकेन विना भुञ्जानः भोज्यजुषां सूक्ष्मजन्तूनाम् हिंसां कथं परिहरेत्’–arthaḥ–rātre dīvo saḷagāvavā chhatān paṇ sūryanā prakāsh vinā rātre bhojan karanār manuṣhya, bhojanamān prīti rākhanār je sūkṣhma jantuo vagere chhe tenī hinsāthī bachī shakato nathī.

bhāvārthaḥ– je puruṣh rātre dīvā vinā bhojan kare chhe tenā āhāramān jo moṭā moṭā undar vagere paṇ āvī jāy toy khabar paḍatī nathī, ane je puruṣh rātre dīvo saḷagāvī bhojan kare chhe tenā bhojanamān dīvānā sambandhathī tathā bhojyapadārthanā sambandhathī āvanārā nānān nānān pataṅgiyān, phūdān vagere avashya bhojanamān paḍe chhe ane temanī avashya hinsā thāy chhe. te kāraṇe em sābit thayun ke rātre bhojan karanār manuṣhya dravyahinsā ane bhāvahinsā–e banne prakāranī hinsāne rokī shakato nathī. māṭe ahinsāvrat pāḷanāre rātribhojan avashya tyāgavun joīe. je manuṣhya rātre shiṅgoḍānnān bhajiyān vagere banāvīne khāy chhe teo paṇ banne prakāranī hinsā kare chhe. 133.

किं वा बहुप्रलपितैरिति सिद्धं यो मनोवचनकायैः।
परिहरति रात्रिभुक्तिं

bhāvārthaḥ– rātre bhojan karavāmān ane rātre bhojan banāvavāmān hammeshān hinsā chhe. rātre bhojan karavānī apekṣhāe rātre bhojan banāvavāmān ghaṇī vadhāre hinsā thāy chhe. tethī pahelān ahinsāvrat pāḷanārāoe rātre banelā darek padārthano tyāg karavo joīe. khās karīne bajāranā banelā padārthono to bilakul tyāg ja karī devo joīe paṇ jo pākṣhik shrāvak koī rīte sampūrṇa tyāg karī na shake to pāṇī, pān, mevo vagere ke jemān rāte bilakul ārambh karavo paḍato nathī tenun grahaṇ kare to karī shake chhe, te paṇ jo tene pāṇī vinā chālatun na hoy to. 134.

इत्यत्र त्रितयात्मनि मार्गे मोक्षस्य ये स्वहितकामाः।
अनुपरतं प्रयतन्ते प्रयान्ति
ते मुक्तिमचिरेण।। १३५।।

anvayārthaḥ– [इति] e rīte [अत्र] ā lokamān [ये] je [स्वहितकामाः] potānā hitanā ichchhuk [मोक्षस्य] mokṣhanā [त्रितयात्मनि] ratnatrayātmak [मार्गे] mārgamān [अनुपरतं] sarvadā aṭakayā vinā [प्रयतन्ते] prayatna kare chhe [ते] te puruṣh [मुक्तिम्] mokṣhamān [अचिरेण] shīghra ja [प्रयान्ति] gaman kare chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘ये (पुरुषाः) स्वहितकामाः इत्यत्र त्रितयात्मनि मोक्षमार्गे अनुपरतं प्रयतन्ते ते (पुरुषाः) अचिरेण मुक्तिं प्रयान्ति’– arthaḥ–je jīv potānā hitane ichchhatā thakā ā rīte ratnatrayarūp mokṣhamārgamān hammeshān prayatna karatā rahe chhe te jīv tarat ja mokṣhane pāme chhe. jīvamātranun hit mokṣha chhe, sansāramān bīje kayāny ānand nathī. tethī je jīv mokṣhamān javā ichchhe chhe temaṇe sadaiv samyagdarshan, samyaggnān ane samyakchāritrarūp je mokṣhamārga chhe temān sadaiv ja prayatna karyā karavo. jo āpaṇe

mokṣhanī vāto karyā karīe ane mokṣhanā mārganī khoj karīe nahi tathā tenā anusāre chālīe nahi to āpaṇe kadī mokṣhane pāmī shakīe nahi ane je jīvo tenā mārgamān chāle chhe arthāt samyagdarshan prāpta karī le chhe te jīv tarat ja mokṣhanā paramadhāmamān pahoñchī jāy chhe. ā rīte (–tattvagnānapūrvak) pāñche pāpanā tyāgapūrvak pāñche aṇuvratanun tathā rātribhojanatyāganun varṇan karīne have sāt shīlavratonun varṇan kare chhe. kem ke sāt shīlavrat pāñch aṇuvratanī rakṣhā karavā māṭe nagaranā koṭ samān chhe. jem killo nagaranun rakṣhaṇ kare chhe tevī ja rīte sāt shīlavrat pāñche aṇuvratanī rakṣhā kare chhe. 13p.

परिधय इव नगराणि व्रतानि किल पालयन्ति शीलानि।
व्रतपालनाय तस्माच्छीलान्यपि
पालनीयानि।। १३६।।

anvayārthaḥ– [किल] nishchayathī [परिधयः इव] jem koṭ, killo [नगराणि] nagaronī rakṣhā kare chhe tevī ja rīte [शीलानि] traṇ guṇavrat ane chār shikṣhāvrat–e sāt shīl [व्रतानि] pāñche aṇuvratonun [पालयन्ति] pālan arthāt rakṣhaṇ chhe. [तस्मात्] māṭe [व्रतपालनाय] vratonun pālan karavā māṭe [शीलानि] sāt shīlavrato [अपि] paṇ [पालनीयानि] pāḷavān joīe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘किल शीलानि व्रतानि पालयन्ति परिधयः नगराणि इव तस्मात् व्रतपालनाय शीलानि अपि पालनीयानि’–arthaḥ–nishchayathī je sāt shīlavrat chhe te pāñche aṇuvratanī rakṣhā kare chhe, jem koṭ nagaranī rakṣhā kare chhe. tethī pāñche aṇuvratonun pālan karavā māṭe traṇ guṇavrat ane chār shikṣhāvrat e sāt shīlavrato avashya pāḷavān ja joīe. have tenun ja varṇan kare chhe te sāmbhaḷo. traṇ guṇavratonān nāmaḥ–1 digvrat, 2 deshavrat, 3 anarthadaṇḍatyāgavrat. chār shikṣhāvratanān nāmaḥ–1 sāmāyik. 2 proṣhadhopavās, 3 bhogopabhogaparimāṇavrat, 4 vaiyāvr̥utta. 136.

pahelān digvrat nāmanā guṇavratanun svarūp kahe chheḥ–

प्रविधाय सुप्रसिद्धैर्मर्यादां सर्वतोप्यभिज्ञानैः।

ṭīkāḥ– ‘सुप्रसिद्धैः अभिज्ञानैः सर्वतः मर्यादां प्रविधाय प्राच्यादिभ्यः दिग्भ्यः अविचलिता विरतिः कर्तव्या’–arthaḥ–prasiddhapaṇe jāṇelā je mahān parvatādi, nagarādi athavā samudrādivaḍe chāre dishāmān jindagīparyant maryādā bāndhīne chār dishā, chār vidishā ane upar tathā nīche–e rīte dashe dishāomān javānī pratignā karī levī ane pachhī jindagīparyant ā maryādānī bahār na javun tene digvrat kahe chhe. ahīn pahāḍ vagere tathā havāī jahājathī chaḍavānī apekṣhāe uparanī dishā ane kūvā ke samudrādimān javānī apekṣhāe nīchenī dishānun grahaṇ karyun chhe. 137.

digvrat pāḷavānun phaḷ

इति नियमितदिग्भागे प्रवर्तते यस्ततो बहिस्तस्य।
सकलासंयमविरहाद्भवत्यहिंसाव्रतं
पूर्णम्।। १३८।।

anvayārthaḥ– [यः] je [इति] ā rīte [नियमितदिग्भावे] maryādā karelī dishāonī andar [प्रवर्तते] rahe chhe [तस्य] te puruṣhane [ततः] te kṣhetranī [बहिः] bahāranā [सकलासंयमविरहात्] samasta asanyamanā tyāganā kāraṇe [पूर्णं] paripūrṇa [अहिंसाव्रतं] ahinsāvrat [भवति] thāy chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘यः (पुरुषः) इति नियमित दिग्भागे प्रवर्तते तस्य ततः बहिः सकलासंयमविरहात् पूर्णं अहिंसाव्रतं भवति।’–arthaḥ–je manuṣhya ā rīte maryādā karelā dashe dishāonā kṣhetranī andar ja potānun badhun kām kare chhe tene te dishāonī bahār ahinsā mahāvrat paḷāy chhe. māṭe digvrat pāḷavāthī ahinsāvrat puṣhṭa thāy chhe. 138.

anvayārthaḥ– [इति] ā rīte [बहुदेशात् विरतः] ghaṇā kṣhetrano tyāg karanār [विमलमतिः] nirmaḷ buddhivāḷo shrāvak [तत्कालं] te niyamit kāḷe [तदुत्थहिंसाविशेषपरिहारात्] maryādākr̥ut kṣhetrathī utpanna thayelī hinsā visheṣhanā tyāgathī [विशेषेण] visheṣhapaṇe [अहिंसां] ahinsāvratano [श्रयति] āshray kare chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘इति बहुदेशात् विरतो विमलमतिः तत्कालं तदुत्थहिंसाविशेषपरिहारात् विशेषेण अहिंसां श्रयति।’–arthaḥ–ā rīte digvratamān karelā kṣhetranun parimāṇ karīne te kṣhetra bahār hinsāno tyāg thavā chhatān paṇ uttam buddhivāḷo shrāvak jo te vakhate bījā paṇ thoḍā kṣhetranī maryādā kare chhe to te visheṣhapaṇe ahinsānun āshray kare chhe. je manuṣhye jīvanaparyant dakṣhiṇamān kanyākumārī ane uttaramān himālay sudhīnun digvrat karyun chhe te kāyam to himālay jato nathī tethī te dararoj evī pratignā kare chhe ke āj hun ‘chhapārā’ gāmamān ja rahīsh, bahār nahīn jāun. to je divase te ‘chhapārā’ sudhīno ja niyam kare chhe tene te divase ‘chhapārā’nī bahāranā pradeshamān ahinsā mahāvratanun pālan thāy chhe. 140.

trījā anarthadaṇḍatyāg nāmanā guṇavratanun svarūpaḥ–

prayojan vinānā pāpano tyāg karavo tene anarthadaṇḍatyāgavrat kahe chhe. tenā pāñch bhed chheḥ–1. apadhyānatyāgavrat, 2. pāpopadeshatyāgavrat, 3. pramādacharyātyāgavrat, 4. hinsādānatyāgavrat, ane pa. duḥshrutityāgavrat.

apadhyānaanarthadaṇḍatyāgavratanun svarūpaḥ–

पापर्द्धिजयपराजयसङ्गरपरदारगमनचौर्याद्याः ।
न कदाचनापि चिन्त्याः पापफलं केवलं यस्मात्।। १४१।।

anvayārthaḥ– [पापर्द्धि–जय–पराजय–सङ्गरपरदारगमन–चौर्याद्याः] shikār, jay, parājay, yuddha, parastrīgaman, chorī, ādinun [कदाचनापि] koī paṇ samaye [न चिन्त्याः] chintavan na karavun joīe [यस्मात्] kāraṇ ke ā apadhyānonun [केवलं] mātra [पापफलं] pāp ja phaḷ chhe.

ṭīkāḥ– ‘पापर्द्धि जय पराजय संगरपरदारगमन चौर्याद्याः कदाचन अपि न चिन्त्याः यस्मात् केवल पापफलं भवति’–arthaḥ–shikār karavānun, saṅgrāmamān koīnī jīt ane hāranun, parastrīgamananun, chorī karavānun ityādi kharāb kāryo ke je karavāthī kevaḷ pāp ja thāy chhe., tenun kadīpaṇ chintavan na karavun joīe ene ja apadhyān–anarthadaṇḍatyāgavrat kahe chhe. khoṭā (kharāb) dhyānanun nām apadhyān chhe, tethī je vātano vichār karavāthī kevaḷ pāpano ja bandh thāy tene ja apadhyān kahe chhe. teno tyāg karavo te apadhyānaanarthadaṇḍatyāgavrat kahe chhe. 141.

pāpopadesh nāmanā anarthadaṇḍatyāgavratanun svarūpaḥ–

विद्यावाणिज्यमषीकृषिसेवाशिल्पजीविनां पुंसाम्।
पापोपदेशदानं
कदाचिदपि नैव वक्तव्यम्।। १४२।।

anvayārthaḥ– [विद्या–वाणिज्य–मषी–कृषि–सेवा–शिल्पजीविनां] vidyā, vyāpār, lekhanakaḷā, khetī, nokarī ane kārīgarīthī nirvāh chalāvanār [पुंसाम्] puruṣhone [पापोपदेशदानं] pāpano upadesh maḷe evun [वचनं] vachan [कदाचित् अपि] koī paṇ vakhate [नैव] na [वक्तव्यम्] bolavun joīe.
