‘परिमितपरिग्रहो’ देशतः परिग्रहविरतिरणुव्रतं स्यात् । कासौ ? या ‘ततोऽधिकेषु निस्पृहता’ ततस्तेभ्य इच्छावशात् कृतपरिसंख्यातेभ्योऽर्थोभ्योऽधिकेष्वर्थेषु या निस्पृहता वाञ्छाव्यावृत्तिः । कि कृत्वा ? ‘परिमाय’ देवगुरुपादाग्रे परिमितं कृत्वा । कं ? ‘धनधान्यादिग्रन्थं’ धनं गवादि, धान्यं ब्रीह्यादि । आदिशब्दाद्दासीदासभार्यागृहक्षेत्रद्रव्य- सुवर्णरूप्याभरणवस्त्रादिसंग्रहः । स चाखौ ग्रन्थश्च तं परिमाय । स च परिमित परिग्रहः ‘इच्छापरिमाणनामापि’ स्यात्, इच्छायाः परिमाणं यस्य स इच्छापरिमाणस्तन्नाम यस्य स तथोक्तः ।।६१।। parimAN karIne [ततः ] tenAthI [अधिकेषु ] vadhAre [निस्पृहता ] ichchhA na rAkhavI te [परिमितपरिग्रहः ] parigrah parimANavrat [अपि ] athavA [इच्छापरिमाणनामा ] ichchhAparimAN nAmanun vrat [स्यात् ] chhe.

tattvArthasUtramAn shrI umAsvAmIe paN mUrchchhAne ja parigrah kahyo chhe —
‘‘मूर्च्छा परिग्रहः। ’’ adhyAy 7/17 bAhya dhan – dhAnyAdi padArthomAn tathA antarang krodhAdi kaShAyomAn mamatvabhAv rAkhavo te mUrchchhA chhe.’’
jyAn jyAn mUrchchhA chhe tyAn tyAn avashya parigrah chhe ane jyAn mUrchchhA nathI tyAn parigrah paN nathI. mUrchchhAnI parigrah sAthe vyApti chhe.
koI jIv nagna chhe, bAhya parigrahathI rahit chhe, paN jo tene antarangamAn mUrchchhA arthAt mamatvapariNAm hoy to te parigrahavAn ja chhe; ane ek mamatvanA tyAgI digambar munine upakaraNarUp pIchhI, kamanDaL hovA chhatAn paN antarangamAn mamatva nahi hovAthI te vAstavik parigrahathI rahit ja chhe. dhan – dhAnyAdi bAhya vastu mUrchchhA UpajAvavAmAn nimittamAtra chhe; tethI temAn kAraNamAn kAryano upachAr karIne tene upachArathI parigrah kahyo chhe. vAstavamAn parigrahanun lakShaN mUrchchhA ja chhe.
1antarang 14 prakAranA parigraho hinsAnA paryAy hovAthI temAn hinsA siddha ja chhe ane dash prakAranA bahiranh parigrahomAn mamatvapariNAm ja hinsAbhAvane nishchayathI prApta thAy chhe. (shlok 119).
kevaLIne samavasaraNAdi vibhUti hoy chhe. paN mamatvapariNAm vinA te parigrah nathI. je koI parigrahane angIkAr karIne kahe ke mAre to temAn mamatvapariNAm nathI, to te asatya chhe, kAraN ke mamatva vinA te angIkAr thAy nahi.
