समयज्ञा आगमज्ञाः । समयं जानन्ति । किं तत् ? मूर्धरुहमुष्टिवासोबन्धं, बन्धशब्दः प्रत्येकमभिसम्बद्धयते मूर्धरूहाणां केशानां बन्धं बन्धकालं समयं जानन्ति । तथा मुष्टिबन्धं
sarva prāṇīo taraph samatābhāv, sanyam (indriy – sanyam ane prāṇī – sanyam) māṭe shubh bhāvanā ane ārtta tathā raudra pariṇāmano tyāg – te sāmāyik vrat chhe.
‘‘rāg – dveṣhanā tyāgathī badhā iṣhṭa – aniṣhṭa padārthomān sāmyabhāvane aṅgīkār karīne ātmatattvanī prāptinun mūḷakāraṇ sāmāyik chhe te vāramvār karavun, tene sāmāyik shikṣhāvrat kahe chhe.’’
‘‘sam’’ eṭale ekarūp ane ‘ay’ eṭale ātmānā svarūpamān gaman – te ‘samay’ thayun. evo ‘samay’ jenun prayojan chhe tene sāmāyik kahe chhe. ā sāmāyik samatābhāv vinā thaī shake nahi.’’1 97
‘आसमयमुक्तिः’ ahīn je samay shabda kahyo chhe tenā arthanun vyākhyān karavāne kahe chhe —
anvayārthaanvayārtha ::::: — [समयज्ञाः ] shāstranā jāṇakār gnānī puruṣh [मूर्धरुहमुष्टि- वासोबन्धं ] keshabandh, muṣhṭibandh ane vastrabandhanā (kāḷane), [पर्य्यङ्कबन्धनं ] padmāsananā kāḷane [चापि ] vaḷī [स्थानम् ] ūbhā rahevānā kāḷane [वा ] athavā [उपवेशनम् ] besavānā kāḷane [समयं ] samay [जानन्ति ] jāṇe chhe – kahe chhe.
ṭīkā : — ‘समयज्ञाः’ āgamanā jāṇanārā – jāṇakār, ‘समयं जानन्ति’ samay kahe chhe. te shun chhe? ‘मूर्धरुहमुष्टिवासोबन्धं’ बन्ध shabda pratyek sāthe sambandh rākhe chhe. 1. puruṣhārthasiddhi – upāy, gujarātī āvr̥utti shlok 148 ṭīkā – bhāvārtha.
