ननु परमतपोऽनुष्ठायिनां महादुःखोत्पत्तितो मनः खेदसद्भावात्कथं निर्वाणप्राप्तिरिति वदन्तं प्रत्याह –
टीका — आत्मा च देहश्च तयोरन्तरज्ञानं भेदज्ञानं तेन जनितश्चासावाह्लादश्च परमप्रसत्तिस्तेन निर्वृतः सुखीभूतः सन् । तपसा द्वादशविधेन कृत्वा । दुष्कृतं घोरं भुञ्जानोऽपि दुष्कर्मणो रौद्रस्य विपाकमनुभवन्नपि । न खिद्यते न खेदं गच्छति ।।३४।।
ātmabhān vinā agnānī je tapādi kare chhe te badho kāy – klesh chhe. tenāthī chaitanyanī shāntinun vedan nathī. te kharekhar tap nathī paṇ ‘tāp’ chhe – klesh chhe. tenāthī muktinī prāpti kadī thatī nathī, parantu jenāthī chaitanyanun pratapan hoy, chaitanyanā ānandano anubhav hoy te ja kharun tap chhe. tenāthī ja nirvāṇanī prāpti thāy chhe.
māṭe pratham bhed – gnān dvārā svātmānun ja avalamban karī temān ja līnatā karavī te ja ek nirvāṇ – prāptino upāy chhe. bījā badhā upāy jūṭhā chhe, duḥkhadāyak chhe ane sansāranun kāraṇ chhe. 33.
param tap karanārāone mahāduḥkhanī utpatti thavāthī tathā manamān khed thavāthī nirvāṇanī prāpti kem sambhave? evī shaṅkā karanār prati kahe chheḥ —
anvayārtha : (आत्मदेहान्तरज्ञानजनिताह्लादनिर्वृत्तः) ātmā ane dehanā bhed – vignānathī utpanna thayelā āhlādathī je ānandit chhe te (तपसा) tapadvārā (घोरं दुष्कृतं) bhayānak duṣhkarmo (भुंजानः अपि) bhogavato hovā chhatān (न खिद्यते) khed pāmato nathī.
ṭīkā : ātmā ane deh – te bannenā antaragnān – bhedagnānathī je āhlād arthāt param prasannatā (prashānti) utpanna thāy chhe tenāthī ānandit eṭale sukhī thaīne, bār prakāranā tape karī ghor duṣhkarmane bhogavato chhatān arthāt bhayānak duṣhkarmanā vipākane (phalane) anubhavato hovā chhatān, te khinna thato nathī – khed pāmato nathī.

bhāvārtha : jene ātmā ane sharīranun bhedagnān varte chhe, te chaitanyasvarūpamān ekāgra thaī atīndriy ānandamān jhūlato hovāthī tene saheje upavāsādi bār prakāranān tap hoy chhe. tenāthī tene manamān khed thato nathī ane tapashcharaṇanā kāḷe ghor duṣhkarmanā phalasvarūp bāhya rogādi ke upasargādinān kāraṇo upasthit hovā chhatān, tenā ānandamān bādhā āvatī nathī, arthāt te khedakhinna thato nathī.
jem suvarṇa, agnithī tapta hovā chhatān, tenā suvarṇapaṇāne chhoḍatun nathī, tem gnānī karmanā udayathī tapta hovā chhatān potānā gnānīpaṇāne chhoḍato nathī.1
sādhakanī nīchalī dashāmān samyagdraṣhṭine rog, upasargādi āvī paḍe to asthiratānā kāraṇe tene thoḍī ākulatā thāy chhe ane tenā pratikāranī paṇ te ichchhā kare chhe, parantu shraddhā – gnānamān sharīr pratyenā mamatvabhāvano abhāv hoī tene tenun svāmītva hotun nathī. te to phakta teno gnātā – draṣhṭā rahe chhe; tethī svabhāvadraṣhṭinā baḷe te jem jem ātmasvarūpamān sthiratā pāme chhe, tem tem tene vītarāgatā vadhatī jāy chhe ane rāg – dveṣhādino abhāv thato jāy chhe; eṭale jeṭale anshe vītarāgatā pragaṭe chhe teṭale anshe ākulatāno abhāv thāy chhe em samajavun.
svarūpamān ṭharavun ane chaitanyanun nirvikalpapaṇe pratapavun arthāt ātmānī shuddha paryāyamān vīryanun ugra pratapan te tape chhe.2 āvī samajaṇ ane svarūpācharaṇanā kāraṇe gnānī udayamān āvelā pratikūḷ sanyogothī khedakhinna thato nathī.
muni man – vachan – kāyanī nishchal guptidvārā ātma – dhyānamān eṭalā līn thaī jāy chhe ke temanī sthir mudrā dekhī, pashuo temanā sharīrane paththar samajī khūjalī khañjavāḷe chhe, chhatān teo potānā dhyānamān nishchal rahe chhe.3
māṭe atīndriy ānandamān jhūlatā gnānīone tapashcharyādinun kaṣhṭa lāgatun nathī. 34. 1. jyam agnitapta suvarṇa paṇ nij svarṇabhāv nahīn taje,

खेदं गच्छतामात्मस्वरूपोपलम्भाभावं दर्शयन्नाह —
टीका — रागद्वेषादय एव कल्लोलास्तैरलोलमचञ्जलमकलुषं वा । यन्मनोजलं मन एव जलं मनोजलं यस्य मनोजलम् यन्मनोजलम् । स आत्मा । पश्यति । आत्मनस्तत्त्वमात्मनः स्वरूपम् । स तत्त्वम् । स आत्मदर्शी तत्त्वं परमात्मस्वरूपम् । नेतरो जनः (रागादिपरिणतः जनः) तत्त्वं न भवति ।।३५।।
khed pāmanārāone ātmasvarūpanī prāptino abhāv darshāvatān kahe chhe keḥ —
anvayārtha : (यन्मनोजलम्) jenun manarūpī jal (रागद्वेषादिकल्लोलैः) rāg – dveṣhādi taraṅgothī (अलोलं) chañchal thatun nathī, (सः) te (आत्मनः तत्त्वं) ātmānā yathārtha svarūpane (पश्यति) dekhe chhe – anubhave chhe. (तत् तत्त्वं) te ātma – tattvane (इतरः जनः) bījo māṇas – rāg – dveṣhādithī ākulit chittavāḷo māṇas (न पश्यति) dekhī shakato nathī.
ṭīkā : rāgadveṣhādi je kallolo (taraṅgo) chhe, tenāthī alol – achañchal – akaluṣh jenun manarūpī jal chhe [ – man e ja jal te manojal, – jenun manojal chhe – ] te ātmā, ātmānā tattvane eṭale paramātmasvarūpane dekhe chhe (anubhave chhe,) arthāt [te tattvane] te eṭale ātmadarshī tattvane eṭale paramātmasvarūpane (anubhave chhe,) bījo koī jan arthāt rāgādipariṇat anya [अनात्मदर्शी] jan tattvane anubhavī shakato nathī.
bhāvārtha : jenun man rāgadveṣhādi vikalpothī ākulit – chalit thatun nathī te ātmānā yathārtha svarūpane – paramātmasvarūpane anubhave chhe; bījo koī rāgadveṣhādithī ākulit – anātmadarshī jan tene anubhavī shakato nathī.
jem taraṅgothī ūchhaḷatā pāṇīmān andar rahelī vastu dekhātī nathī, tem rāg – dveṣhādirūp taraṅgothī – vikalpothī chañchal banelā manarūpī jalamān arthāt gnānajalamān ātma – tattva dekhātun nathī. nirvikalpa dashāmān ja ātma – darshan thāy chhe; saviklpa dashāmān ātmānubhav thato nathī.

किं पुनस्तत्त्वशब्देनोच्यत इत्याह –
टीका — अविक्षिप्तं रागाद्यपरिणतं देहादिनाऽऽत्मनोऽभेदाध्यवसायपरिहारेण स्वस्वरूप एव निश्चिलतां गतम् । इत्थं भूतं मनः तत्त्वं वास्तवं रूपमात्मनः । विक्षिप्तं उक्तविपरीतं
vastusvarūp samajī atīndriy ātmasvarūpanī sanmukh thatān rāgadveṣhādi vikalpo svayam shānta thaī jāy chhe. tene shamāvavā māṭe ātma – sanmukhatā sivāy bījo koī upāy nathī. upayog antarmukh thatān rāgadveṣhādino abhāv thāy chhe, nirvikalpa dashā pragaṭ thāy chhe ane paramātmatattvano ānand anubhavamān āve chhe. te vakhate bahāranī game tevī anukūḷatā ke pratikūḷatā hoy to paṇ chitta malin thatun nathī. āvo jīv svarūpamān līn thaī akathya ānand – shānti anubhave chhe, parantu bāhya padārthomān iṣhṭa – aniṣhṭanī kalpanā karī jenun chitta rāg – dveṣhādi kaṣhāyothī ākulit thāy chhe tene shuddhātmāno ānand āvato nathī; arthāt tene shuddhātmasvarūpanī prāpti thatī nathī. 35.
vaḷī tattva shabdathī shun kahevā māge chhe te kahe chheḥ —
anvayārtha : (अविक्षिप्तं) avikṣhipta (मनः) man chhe te (आत्मनः तत्त्वं) ātmānun vāstavik svarūp chhe ane (विक्षिप्तं) vikṣhipta man chhe te (आत्मनः भ्रान्तिः) ātma – vibhram chhe (ततः) tethī (तम् अविक्षिप्तं) te avikṣhipta manane (धारयेत्) dhāraṇ karavun ane (विक्षिप्तं) vikṣhipta manano (न आश्रयेत्) āshray karavo nahi.
ṭīkā : avikṣhipta eṭale rāgādithī apariṇat – dehādi sāthe ātmānā abhed (ekarūp)nā adhyavasāy (mithyā abhiprāy)no parihār karīne sva – svarūpamān ja nishchal (sthir) thaī gaelun evun man te ātma – tattva eṭale ātmānun vāstavik svarūp chhe.

मनोभ्रान्तिरात्मस्वरूपं न भवति । यत एवं तस्मात् धारयेत् । किं तत् ? मनः कथम्भूतम् ? अविक्षिप्तम् । विक्षिप्तं पुनस्तत् नाश्रयेन्न धारयेत् ।।३६।। ātmānā bhedagnānathī rahit) man te (ātma) bhrānti chhe, te ātmānun svarūp nathī; māṭe (tene – avikṣhipta manane) dhāraṇ karavun. tene eṭale kone? manane; kevā (manane)? avikṣhipta (manane); parantu te vikṣhipta (manane) dhāraṇ karavun nahi – teno āshray karavo nahi.
bhāvārtha : je man rāgadveṣhathī vikṣhipta thatun nathī – ākulit thatun nathī, dehādimān ātmabuddhi karatun nathī ane ātma – svarūpamān nishchal rahe chhe te ātma – tattva chhe – ātmānun vāstavik svarūp chhe. je man rāgadveṣhādikarūpe pariṇame chhe – tenāthī vikṣhipta thāy chhe; deh ane ātmānā bhed – gnānathī rahit chhe ane ātmasvarūpamān sthir thatun nathī te ātma – bhrānti chhe, ātmānun nijarūp nathī. māṭe avikṣhipta man ātma – tattva hovāthī pragaṭ karavā yogya chhe ane vikṣhipta man ātma – ātmatattva nahi hovāthī hey chhe – tyāgavā yogya chhe.
jyāre gnānasvarūp bhāv man rāgādi vibhāv bhāvothī chhūṭī ātmāne, sharīrādi bāhya padārthothī bhinna, chaitanyamay, ek ṭaṅkotkīrṇa gnāyak svabhāvarūp anubhav karavā lāge chhe tathā temān tanmay thaī jāy chhe tyāre te avikṣhipta arthāt nirvikalpa bhāv manane ‘ātma – tattva’ kahe chhe, parantu jyāre temān vikalpo ūṭhavā lāge tyāre te vikṣhipta arthāt savikalpa manane ātmānun tattva kahetā nathī. te āsrav chhe. māṭe ātmārthīe svasanmukh thaīne nirvikalpa manane ja – avikṣhipta manane ja dhāraṇ karavun joīe. tenāthī ja ātma – lābh chhe.
pratham sva – paranun bhedagnān karī par padārthomān iṣhṭa – aniṣhṭapaṇānī kalpanāno tyāg karavo, rāg – dveṣhādinān kāraṇo taraph upekṣhā – buddhi karavī ane bhāvashrutagnānane antarmukh karavun. āthī par padārtho sambandhīnā saṅkalpa – vikalpo badhā shamī jashe, man avikṣhipta banashe ane ātmasvarūpamān sthir thashe. āvā avikṣhipta bhāv manane ja pragaṭ karavā āchārye upadesh āpyo chhe, kāraṇ ke te ātma – tattva chhe ane te mokṣhanun kāraṇ chhe.
je gnānano upayog rāgādi vikāromān tathā par padārthomān rokāy chhe te gnān nathī, paṇ je gnān gnānamān ja pratiṣhṭhit thāy chhe te ja vāstavik gnān chhe – ātmatattva chhe; māṭe te upādey chhe.
je upayog paramān ja aṭakelo rahevāthī ātma – sanmukh vaḷato nathī, te paranā valaṇavāḷun tattva chhe, ātmānā valaṇavāḷun tattva nathī, tenāthī sansār chhe, māṭe te hey chhe. 36.

कुतः पुनर्मनसो विक्षेपो भवति कुतश्चाविक्षेप इत्याह —
टीका — शरीरादौ शुचिस्थिरात्मीयादिज्ञानान्यविद्यास्तासामभ्यासः पुनः पुनः प्रवृत्तिस्तेन जनिताः संस्कारा वासनास्तैः कृत्वा । अवशं विषयेन्द्रियाधीनमनात्मायत्तमित्यर्थः । क्षिप्यते विक्षिप्तं भवति मनः । तदेव मनः ज्ञानसंस्कारैरात्मनः शरीरादिभ्यो भेदज्ञानाभ्यासैः । स्वतः स्वयमेव । तत्त्वे आत्मस्वरूपे अवतिष्ठते ।।३७।।

ṭīkā : sharīr vagerene pavitra, sthir ane ātmīy (potānun) ādi mānavārūp je avidyā (agnān) teno abhyās arthāt tenī vāramvār pravr̥utti tenāthī utpanna thayelā sanskāro eṭale vāsanāo – te vaḍe karīne avash – arthāt viṣhayo ane indriyone ādhīn eṭale ātmāne ādhīn te man vikṣhep pāme chhe; eṭale vikṣhipta thāy chhe. te ja man, gnānasanskāro vaḍe arthāt ātmāne sharīrādithī bhinna jāṇavārūp abhyās vaḍe, svataḥ eṭale svayam ja tattvamān arthāt ātmasvarūpamān sthir thāy chhe.
bhāvārtha : sharīrādi par padārthomān ātmabuddhi karavī te agnān chhe – avidyā chhe. tenā punaḥ punaḥ pravr̥uttirūp abhyāsathī utpanna thayelā sanskārothī man paravash thaīne – parādhīn thaīne rāgī – dveṣhī banī jāy chhe – vikṣhipta thāy chhe. ā ja man bhed – gnānanā sanskārothī svataḥ eṭale potānī meḷe ātmasvarūpamān sthir thāy chhe.

sharīr jaḍ chhe, apavitra chhe, asthir chhe ne par chhe. temān ātmānī kalpanā karī tene pavitra, sthir ne potānun mānavun tathā gnān ane rāgane ek mānavā arthāt shubh bhāvathī lābh mānavo te avidyā chhe – agnān chhe. ā agnānatāne – ūndhī mānyatā ane ūndhā gnānane vāramvār andar ghūṇṭavāthī ane tadanusār ācharaṇ karavāthī vāsanārūp sanskāro utpanna thāy chhe. ā sanskārothī man potāne vash – svādhīn vartatun nathī, parantu paravash bane chhe – arthāt viṣhayo ane indriyone ādhīn thaī kṣhubdha thāy chhe – vikṣhipta thāy chhe. āvun – rāg – dveṣh ākulit man bāhya viṣhayomān ja pravarte chhe, gnānasvarūpamān sthir thatun nathī.
hun sharīrādithī ane rāg – dveṣhādi vikārothī bhinna, pavitra, sthir ane gnāyak – svarūp chhun – evā svaparanā bhedavignān dvārā utpanna thayelā gnān – sanskārothī te ja man svayam – svādhīnapaṇe – potānī ja meḷe rāg – dveṣhādithī rahit thāy chhe – avikṣhipta thāy chhe ane ātmasvarūpamān sthir thāy chhe.
shuddhātmānī vāramvār bhāvanāthī gnānanā sanskāro utpanna thāy chhe. tenāth man rāg – dveṣh rahit thaī samādhimān ṭhare chhe.
‘hun shuddhagnānasvarūp paramātmā chhun; sharīr – man – vāṇīrūp hun nathī. hun tenāthī bhinna chhun’ – evī vāramvār bhāvanā bhāvavāthī tenā sanskāro draḍh thāy chhe ane tevā sanskārothī chaitanyasvarūpamān sthiratā prāpta thāy chhe.1
māṭe gnān – sanskār samādhinun kāraṇ chhe ane avidyānā sanskār asamādhinun kāraṇ chhe.
gnān – sanskāro dvārā jem jem svarūpamān sthiratā vadhatī jāy chhe, tem tem rāg – dveṣhādi bhāvo chhūṭatā jāy chhe ane vītarāgatā vadhatī jāy chhe. māṭe jyān sudhī man (gnānano upayog) bāhya viṣhayothī chhūṭī ātmasvarūpamān sthir na thāy tyān sudhī ātma – tattvanī bhāvanā karyā ja karavī.

चित्तस्य विक्षेपेऽविक्षेपे च फलं दर्शयन्नाह —
टीका — अपमानो महत्त्वखंडनं अवज्ञा च स आदिर्येषां मदेर्ष्यामात्सर्यादिनां ते अपमानादयो भवन्ति । यस्य चेतसो विक्षेपो रागादिपरिणतिर्भवति । यस्य पुनश्चेतसो न क्षेपो विक्षेपो
‘‘ā bhedavignān achhinna – dhārāthī – arthāt jemān vichchhed na paḍe evā akhaṇḍ pravāharūpe – tyān sudhī bhāvavun, ke jyān sudhī parabhāvothī chhūṭī gnān gnānamān ja (potānā svarūpamān ja) ṭharī jāy.’’
ahīn gnānanun gnānamān ṭharavun be prakāre jāṇavun. ek to, mithyātvano abhāv thaī samyaggnān thāy ane pharī mithyātva na āve, tyāre gnān gnānamān ṭharyun kahevāy; bījun jyāre gnān shuddhopayogarūpe sthir thaī jāy ane pharī anya vikārarūpe na pariṇame tyāre te gnānamān ṭharī gayun kahevāy. jyān sudhī banne prakāre gnān gnānamān na ṭharī jāy tyān sudhī bhedavignān bhāvyā karavun.’’1
ā shlokamān ‘स्वतः’ shabda e sūchave chhe ke jīv svayam potānā samyak puruṣhārthathī potānā svarūpamān sthir thāy chhe, bījā koī kāraṇe nahi. 37.
mananā vikṣhepanun ane avikṣhepanun phal batāvī kahe chheḥ —
anvayārtha : (यस्य चेतसः) jenā manamān (विक्षेपः) vikṣhep – rāgādi pariṇām thāy chhe, (तस्य) tene (अपमानादयः) apamānādik hoy chhe, paṇ (यस्य चेतसः) jenā manamān (क्षेपः न) kṣhep – rāgādirūp pariṇām thatān nathī (तस्य) tene (अपमानादयः न) apamān – tiraskārādi hotān nathī.

अपमानादिनां चापगम उपायमाह — chhe, parantu jenā manamān vikṣhep thato nathī, tene apamānādi thatān nathī.
bhāvārtha : jenun man rāg – dveṣhādi vikārothī vikṣhipta thāy chhe, tene ja mān – apamānādinī lāgaṇī thāy chhe, parantu jenun man rāgadveṣharūpe pariṇamatun nathī tene apamānādinī lāgaṇī udbhavatī nathī. te mān – apamānamān samabhāve varte chhe.
moh – rāg – dveṣhādi vibhāvomān vartato jīv ja mān – apamānanī kalpanāthī duḥkhī thāy chhe, parantu jenun chitta rāg – dveṣh – mohādi vibhāvothī rahit thaī potānā gnānasvarūpamān sthir thāy chhe tene mān – apamānanī kalpanāo utpanna thatī nathī, kāraṇ ke gnānānandamān līn thatān koṇ bahumān kare chhe koṇ apamān kare chhe – evo vikalpa ja ūṭhato nathī. te gnātā – draṣhṭāpaṇe rahe chhe.
gnānīne shatru – mitra pratye, mān – apamānanā prasaṅge, jīvan ke maraṇanā viṣhayamān ane sansār ke mokṣhamān samabhāv – samadarshitā varte chhe.1
‘‘gnānabhāvanā chhoḍīne agnānathī je jīv par sanyogamān mān – apamānanī buddhi kare chhe te agnānī chhe. jene gnānasvabhāvanī bhāvanā nathī evā agnānīne ja bāhyadraṣhṭithī ekānt mānaapamānarūp pariṇaman thāy chhe. gnānasvabhāvanī bhāvanāmān gnānīne gnānanun ja pariṇaman thāy chhe, mān – apamānarūp pariṇaman thatun nathī; jarāk rāg – dveṣhanī vr̥utti thāy, tyān te vr̥uttine paṇ gnānathī bhinnarūp ja jāṇe chhe ne gnānasvabhāvanī ja bhāvanā vaḍe gnānanī adhikatārūpe ja pariṇame chhe.’’2 38.
apamānādine dūr karavāno upāyaḥ — 1. ‘‘shatru mitra pratye varte samadarshitā,
bhav – mokṣhe paṇ shuddha varte samabhāv jo......apūrva0’’......10

टीका — मोहान्मोहनीयकर्मोदयात् । यदा प्रजायेते उत्पद्येते । कौ ? रागद्वेषौ । कस्य ? तपस्विनः । तदैव रागद्वेषोदयकाल एव । आत्मानं स्वस्थं बाह्यविषयाद्व्यावृत्तस्वरूपस्थं भावयेत् । शाम्यत उपशमं गच्छतः । रागद्वेषौ । क्षणात् क्षणमात्रेण ।।३९।।
anvayārtha : (यदा) je samaye (तपस्विनः) tapasvī antarātmāne (मोहात्) mohavashāt (रागद्वेषौ) rāg ane dveṣh (प्रजायेते) utpanna thāy (तदा एव) te ja samaye te tapasvīe (स्वस्थं आत्मानं) shuddhasvarūpanī (भावयेत्) bhāvanā karavī. em karavāthī rāg – dveṣhādi (क्षणात्) kṣhaṇavāramān (शाम्यतः) shānta thaī jāy chhe.
ṭīkā : mohathī eṭale mohanīy karmanā uday nimitte, jyāre pedā thāy – utpanna thāy, koṇ (be)? rāg ane dveṣh. kone (utpanna thāy)? tapasvīne, tyāre ja arthāt rāg – dveṣhanā udayakāle ja svastha ātmānī – arthāt bāhya viṣhayothī vyāvr̥utta thaī (pāchho haṭhī) svarūpamān sthit thayelā ātmānī – bhāvanā karavī. tem karavāthī rāg – dveṣh kṣhaṇamān – kṣhaṇamātramān upashame chhe eṭale shānt thaī jāy chhe.
bhāvārtha : asthiratānā kāraṇe mohavash jyāre antarātmāne rāg – dveṣhādi utpanna thāy tyāre chittane par padārthothī haṭhāvī svasanmukh vāḷī shuddhātmāne bhāvavo. tem karavāthī kṣhaṇavāramān rāg – dveṣhādi shānta thaī jāy chhe.

टीका — यत्रात्मीये परकीये वा काये । शरीरे इन्द्रियविषयसङ्घाते । मुनेः प्रेम स्नेहः । ततः कायात्प्रच्याव्य व्यावर्त्य । देहिनं आत्मानम् । कया ? बुद्धया विवेकज्ञानेन । पश्चात्तदुत्तमे काये तस्माद् प्रागुक्तकायादुत्तमे चिदानन्दमये । काये आत्मस्वरूपे । योजयेत् । कया कृत्वा ? बुद्धया potānun svarūp mānato nathī. tene to potānā svarūp taraph ja draṣhṭi chhe. te asthiratānā rāg – dveṣhane ṭāḷavā māṭe chaitanyasvabhāvanī ja bhāvanā bhāve chhe.
māṭe āchārya samyagdraṣhṭione uddeshī kahe chhe ke – jyāre chāritranī nabaḷāīthī rāg – dveṣhādi vikārī vr̥uttionun utthān thāy, tyāre ātmasvarūpanī bhāvanā karavī. tenāthī vr̥uttio shānta thaī jashe. rāg – dveṣhādinā shaman māṭe shuddhātmānī bhāvanā – e ek rāmabāṇ upāy chhe. 39.

अन्तर्दृष्टया । ततः किं भवति ? प्रेम नश्यति कायस्नेहो न भवति ।।४०।।
तस्मिन्नष्टे किं भवतीत्याह —
bhāvārtha : antarātmāne chāritra mohavash bāhya sharīrādi tathā indriyonā viṣhayomān rāg thāy to bhedavignān dvārā upayogane tyānthī haṭhāvī shuddhātmasvarūpamān joḍavo. tem karavāthī sharīrādi pratyeno prem nāsh pāme chhe.
jeno upayog chaitanyanā ānandamān lāge chhe tene jagatanā badhāy padārtho nīras lāge chhe, sharīrādi bāhya padārtho pratyeno utsāh uḍī jāy chhe ane te taraph te udāsīn rahe chhe.
‘‘chaitanyasvarūpamān upayogane joḍavo te ja rāg – dveṣhane ṭāḷavāno upāy chhe. ā sivāy bāhya padārtho taraph valaṇ rākhīne rāg – dveṣh ṭāḷavā māge to te kadī ṭaḷī shake nahi. pahelān to dehādithī bhinna ne rāgādithī paṇ paramārthe bhinna – evā chidānandasvarūpanun bhān karyun hoy tene ja temān upayoganī līnatā thāy, parantu je jīv dehādinī kriyāne potānī mānato hoy ke rāgathī lābh mānato hoy, teno upayog te dehathī ne rāgathī pāchho khasīne chaitanyamān vaḷe ja kyāthī? jyān lābh māne tyānthī potānā upayogane kem khaseḍe? na ja khaseḍe.
māṭe upayogane potānā chidānandasvarūpamān ekāgra karavā ichchhanāre pratham to potānā svarūpane dehādithī ne rāgādithī atyant bhinna jāṇavun joīe. jagatanā koī paṇ bāhya viṣhayomān ke te taraphanā rāgamān kyāy svapney mārun sukh ke shānti nathī, anantakāl bahāranā bhāvo karyā paṇ mane kiñchit sukh na maḷyun. jagatamān kyāy mārun sukh hoy to te mārā nij svarūpamān ja chhe, bīje kyāy nathī. māṭe have hun bahārano upayog chhoḍīne mārā svarūpamān ja upayogane joḍun chhun. āvā draḍh nirṇayapūrvak, dharmī jīv vāramvār potānā upayogane antar svarūpamān joḍe chhe.
‘‘chaitanya – svabhāvanī mahattā ane bāhya indriy – viṣhayonī tuchchhatā jāṇīne potānā upayogane vāramvār chaitanya – bhāvanāmān joḍavāthī par pratyeno prem nāsh pāme chhe ne vītarāgī ānandano anubhav thāy chhe........’’1 40.

durddhar tapanā anuṣhṭhān (ācharaṇ)thī to muktinī siddhi thavāthī te duḥkhano upasham thashe nahi – evī āshaṅkā karanārane kahe chhe – na ityādi.....temān eṭale ātmasvarūpane viṣhe yatna nahi karanārā nirvāṇ pāmatā nathī arthāt sukhī thatā nathī. shun karīne paṇ? – tapīne paṇ. shun tapīne? param tap eṭale durddhar anuṣhṭhān. (arthāt durddhar tap tapīne paṇ teo mokṣha pāmatā nathī.)
bhāvārtha : ātmabhrāntithī eṭale sharīrādimān ātmabuddhi karavāthī je duḥkh utpanna thāy chhe te bhedagnānathī nāsh pāme chhe. bhedavignān dvārā ātmasvarūpanī prāpti māṭe je prayatna karatā nathī, te ghor tap karavā chhatān mokṣhamārganī ke nirvāṇanī prāpti karī shakatā nathī.

तच्च कुर्वाणो बहिरात्मा अन्तरात्मा च किं करोतीत्याह — kāraṇ chhe. sharīrādithī bhinna ātmasvarūpano anubhav karavāthī – svaparanun bhedagnān karavāthī arthāt dehādithī ane shubhabhāvathī paṇ bhinna gnān – darshan svarūp ja hun chhun, bījun kāī mārun nathī – evā ātmagnānathī ā duḥkharūp bhrānti dūr thāy chhe. āvā bhedavignānanā prayatna vagar ghor tap kare to paṇ jīv sācho dharma pāmato nathī.
mukti – prāpti māṭe ātmagnānapūrvak karelun ichchhānirodharūp tap ja kāryakārī chhe. ātmagnānathī shūnya tap te tap nathī. te to sansār – paribhramaṇanun ja kāraṇ chhe. tenāthī ātmā kadī paṇ svarūpamān sthir thaī shakato nathī ane karmabandhanathī chhūṭī shakato nathī. tenī duḥkh – paramparā chālu ja rahe chhe.
pt.. shrī ṭoḍaramallajīe kahyun chhe keḥ —
‘‘jinamatamān evī paripāṭī chhe ke pahelān samyaktva hoy pachhī vrat hoy. have samyaktva to svaparanun shraddhān thatān thāy chhe tathā te shraddhān dravyānuyogano abhyās karavāthī thāy chhe; māṭe pratham dravyānuyog anusār shraddhān vaḍe samyagdraṣhṭi thāy ane tyārapachhī charaṇānuyog anusār vratādik dhāraṇ karī vratī thāy.......’’1
mithyādraṣhṭi jīv ātmagnān vinā karoḍo janma sudhī tap karīne jeṭalān karmono abhāv kare teṭalān karmono nāsh, gnānī potānā man – vachan – kāyano nirodh karī kṣhaṇavāramān sahaj karī de chhe. ātmagnān vinā pañch mahāvrat pāḷīne – muni thaīne te navamī graiveyak sudhī devalokamān anant vār gayo paṇ jarāy sukh na pāmyo.2
agnānī jīvanī kriyā sansārane māṭe saphaḷ chhe ne mokṣhane māṭe niṣhphaḷ chhe ane gnānīnī je dharmakriyā chhe te sansārane māṭe niṣhphaḷ chhe ane mokṣhane māṭe saphaḷ chhe.3 41.

antarātmā shun kare chhe te kahe chhe – tattvagnānī tenāthī chyuti vāñchhe chhe – arthāt tattvagnānī eṭale vivekī antarātmā, tenāthī eṭale sharīrādithī muktirūp (chhūṭakārārūp) chyutinī eṭale vyāvr̥uttinī vāñchhā kare chhe.
bhāvārtha : sharīrādimān ātmabuddhi karanār bahirātmā tapādi dvārā sundar sharīr ane svargīy viṣhay – bhogonī vāñchhā kare chhe ane bhedagnānī antarātmā to bāhya sharīr – viṣhayādinī vāñchhāthī chyut thaī, eṭale tenāthī vyāvr̥utta thaī, ātmasvarūpamān ṭharavā māge chhe.
je agnānī indriyonā viṣhayonī ane svarganān sukhanī ichchhāthī vrat – tapādi āchare chhe, te to mithyādraṣhṭi ja chhe, kāraṇ ke tenā abhiprāyamān shubh rāganā phalasvarūp viṣhayonī ja vāñchhanā chhe. tenān vrat – tapādi bhogahetue ja chhe.
‘‘te bhoganā nimittarūp dharmane ja shraddhe chhe, tenī ja pratīt kare chhe, tenī ja ruchi kare chhe ane tene ja sparshe chhe, parantu karmakṣhayanā nimittarūp dharmane nahi.

तत्त्वज्ञानीतरयोर्बन्धकत्वाबन्धकत्वे दर्शयन्नाह —
.......‘‘te karmathī chhūṭavānā nimittarūp, gnānamātra, bhūtārtha (satyārtha) dharmane nathī shraddhato bhoganā nimittarūp, shubhakarmamātra, abhūtārtha dharmane ja shraddhe chhe; tethī ja te abhūtārtha dharmamān shraddhān, pratīt, ruchi ane sparshanathī uparanā graiveyak sudhīnā bhog – mātrane pāme chhe, parantu kadāpi karmathī chhūṭato nathī.......’’1
gnānī to shuddhātmasvarūpanī ja bhāvanā kare chhe. te viṣhay – sukhonī svapne paṇ bhāvanā karato nathī. tene vrat – tapādino shubh rāg bhūmikānusār āve, paṇ tene tenī vāñchhanā nathī, abhiprāyamān teno niṣhedh varte chhe. jene rāganī bhāvanā ja na hoy tene rāganā phalarūp viṣhayonī paṇ ichchhā kem hoy? na ja hoy.
‘‘jem koīne ghaṇo daṇḍ thato hato te have thoḍo daṇḍ āpavāno upāy rākhe chhe tathā thoḍo daṇḍ āpīne harṣha paṇ māne chhe, parantu shraddhānamān to daṇḍ āpavo aniṣhṭa māne chhe; tem samyagdraṣhṭine pāparūp ghaṇo kaṣhāy thato hato, te have puṇyarūp thoḍo kaṣhāy karavāno upāy rākhe chhe tathā thoḍo kaṣhāy thatān harṣha paṇ māne chhe, parantu shraddhānamān to kaṣhāyane hey ja māne chhe. vaḷī jem koī kamāṇīnun kāraṇ jāṇī vyāpārādikano upāy rākhe chhe, upāy banī āvatān harṣha paṇ māne chhe, tem dravyaliṅgī mokṣhanun kāraṇ jāṇī prashasta rāgano upāy rākhe chhe, upāy banī āvatān harṣha paṇ māne chhe. e pramāṇe prashasta rāganā upāyamān vā tenā harṣhamān samānatā hovā chhatān paṇ samyagdraṣhṭine to daṇḍ samān tathā mithyādraṣhṭine vyāpār samān shraddhān hoy chhe. māṭe e bannenā abhiprāyamān bhed thayo.’’

bhāvārtha : bahirātmā potānun shuddhātmasvarūp bhūlīne sharīrādi par padārthomān ātmabuddhi kare chhe, tethī tene gnānāvaraṇādi karmano bandh thāy chhe ane antarātmā sharīrādi par padārtho sātheno sambandh toḍī potānā chidānandasvarūp sāthe ātmabuddhipūrvak sambandh joḍe chhe, tethī te karmabandhanathī chhūṭī jāy chhe.
agnānatāvash jīv sharīrādi par padārthomān ahambuddhi, mamakār buddhi, kartā – bhokatābuddhi ādi karī, rāg – dveṣh kare chhe ane rāg – dveṣhanā nimitte tene karmano bandh thāy chhe, bāhya padārtho bandhanun kāraṇ chhe ja nahi. temān mithyā – bhrāntijanit mamatvabhāv e ja sansār – bandhanun kāraṇ chhe. agnānīne potānā chaitanyasvarūpanī asāvadhānī chhe, tethī tene par padārthomān ātma – bhrānti chālu rahe chhe ane tenā phalarūpe karmabandh paṇ thayā ja kare chhe.
gnānīne rāg – dveṣhādi ane ātmasvabhāvanun bhed – vignān chhe, tethī te upayogamān rāg sāthe ekatā nahi hovāthī te abandh chhe.

अत्राहम्मतिर्बहिरात्मनो जाता तत्तेन कथमध्यवसीयते ? यत्र चान्तरात्मनस्तत्तेन कथमित्याशंक्याह —
टीका — दृश्यमानं शरीरादिकं । किं विशिष्टं ? त्रिलिंङ्गं त्रीणि स्त्रीपुंनपुंसकलक्षणानि लिङ्गानि यस्य तत् दृश्यमानं त्रिलिंङ्गं सत् । मूढो बहिरात्मा । इदमात्मतत्त्वं त्रिलिङ्गं मन्यते
‘‘bandhonā svabhāvane ane ātmānā svabhāvane jāṇīne bandho pratye je virakta thāy chhe te karmothī mukāy chhe.’’1
gnānī potānā svarūpamān sthit chhe eṭale svasamay chhe ane par padārtho pratyenā rāgādi bhāvothī mukta chhe. tethī tene karma – bandh nathī. agnānī ātmasvarūpathī chyut chhe arthāt par padārthomān ātmabuddhie sthit chhe eṭale par samay chhe ane rāgādi bhāvothī yukta chhe, tethī te karmothī baddha chhe. 43.
jyān (je padārthomān) bahirātmāne ātmabuddhi thaī tene te kevā māne chhe? ane antarātmā tene (padārthane) kevā māne chhe? tevī āshaṅkā karī kahe chheḥ —
anvayārtha : (मूढः) agnānī bahirātmā, (दृश्यमानं) dekhavāmān āvatā (त्रिलिङ्गं) strī – puruṣh – napunsakanā bhedathī triliṅgarūp sharīrane (इदं अवबुध्यते) ātma tattva (arthāt mārān) māne chhe ke, jyāre (अवबुद्धः) antarātmā, (इदं) ‘ā ātma tattva chhe te triliṅgarūp nathī, (तु) paṇ te (निष्पन्नं) anādi sansiddha tathā (शब्दवर्जितं इति) nāmādi vikalpothī rahit chhe,’ em samaje chhe.

दृश्यमानादभेदाध्यवसायेन । यः पुनरवबुद्धोऽन्तरात्मा स इदमात्मतत्त्वमित्येवं मन्यते । न पुनस्त्रिलिङ्गत्तया । तस्याः शरीरधर्मतया आत्मस्वरूपत्वाभावात् । कथम्भूतमिदमात्मस्वरूपं निष्पन्नमनादिसंसिद्धम् तथा शब्दवर्जितं विकल्पाभिधानाऽगोचरम् ।।४४।।
ननु यद्यन्तरात्मैवात्मानं प्रतिपद्यते तदा कथं पुमानहं गौरोऽहमित्यादिरूपा तस्य कदाचिदभेदभ्रांतिः स्यात् इति वदन्तं प्रत्याह —
mānyatāne līdhe ā ātma – tattvane triliṅgarūp māne chhe;
paṇ je gnānī antarātmā chhe, te ‘ā ātma – tattva chhe, te triliṅgarūpe nathī’ evun māne chhe, kāraṇ ke sharīradharmapaṇānā kāraṇe teno (triliṅgapaṇāno) ātmasvarūpapaṇāmān abhāv chhe. ā ātmasvarūp kevun chhe? te niṣhpanna arthāt anādi sansiddha chhe tathā shabdavarjit eṭale nāmādi vikalpothī agochar chhe.
bhāvārtha : bahirātmāne sharīrādi sāthe ekatābuddhi – abhedabuddhi hovāthī, strī – puruṣh – napunsak e triliṅgarūp sharīr je draṣhṭigochar chhe tene ātmā māne chhe; parantu antarātmā māne chhe ke, ‘‘ā ātmā to anādi sansiddha tathā nāmādi vikalpothī rahit chhe. strī – puruṣhādi triliṅg e sharīranā dharma chhe, arthāt paudgalik chhe. te ātmasvarūpamān nathī.’’
agnānī jīvane sharīrathī bhinna ātma – tattvanī pratīti nathī; te strī – puruṣh – napunsakarūp triliṅgātmak drashyamān sharīrane ja ātmā māne chhe.
samyagdraṣhṭine vastusvarūpanun gnān chhe ane sharīrathī bhinna chaitanyarūp ātma – tattvanī pratīt chhe, tethī te potānā ātmāne tadrūp ja anubhave chhe, paṇ tene triliṅgarūp anubhavato nathī, tene to te anādi siddha tathā nirvikalpa samaje chhe.
e rīte gnānī ane agnānīnī sharīr sambandhī mānyatā ekabījāthī viparīt chhe. 44. jo antarātmā ja ātmāne anubhave chhe, to pachhī ‘hun puruṣh, hun goro’ ityādi abhedarūp bhrānti tene kadāchit kem thāy chhe? evun bolanār prati kahe chheḥ —

टीका — आत्मनस्तत्त्वं स्वरूपं जानन्नपि । तथा विविक्तं शरीरादिभ्योभिन्नं भावयन्नपि उभयत्राऽपिशब्दः परस्परसमुच्चये । भूयोऽपि पुनरपि । भ्रान्तिं गच्छति । कस्मात् ? पूर्वविभ्रमसंस्कारात् पूर्वविभ्रमो बहिरात्मावस्थाभावी शरीरादौ स्वात्मविपर्यासस्तेन जनितः संस्कारो वासना तस्मात् ।।४५।।
anvayārtha : antarātmā (आत्मनः तत्त्वं) potānā ātmānun shuddha chaitanyasvarūp (जानन् अपि) jāṇato hovā chhatān, (विविक्तं भावयन् अपि) ane tene sharīrādithī bhinna bhāvavā chhatān (पूर्वविभ्रमसंस्कारात्) pūrve eṭale bahirātmāvasthāmān utpanna thayelā bhrāntinā sanskārone līdhe (भूयः अपि) pharīthī te (भ्रान्तिं गच्छति) bhrānti pāme chhe.
ṭīkā : ātmānun tattva eṭale svarūp jāṇavā chhatān tathā tene vivikta eṭale sharīrādithī bhinna bhāvato hovā chhatān [banne ṭhekāṇe अपि shabda paraspar samuchchayanā arthamān chhe] pharīthī paṇ – punaḥ api te (antarātmā) bhrānti pāme chhe. shāthī (bhrānti pāme chhe?) pūrvavibhramanā sanskārathī – arthāt pūrvavibhram eṭale bahirātmāvasthāmān sharīrādine viṣhe potāno ātmā mānavārūp viparyās (vibhram), tenāthī thayelo sanskār – vāsanā, tene līdhe (te pharīthī bhrānti pāme chhe.)
bhāvārtha : antarātmā ātma – tattvane dehathī bhinna jāṇe chhe tathā tenī tevī bhāvanā paṇ kare chhe, tem chhatān pūrve eṭale bahirātmāvasthāmān sharīrādine ātmā mānavārūp bhrāntithī utpanna thayelā sanskārane līdhe, tene samyak shraddhā rahevā chhatān, chāritradoṣharūp bhrānti thāy chhe. te chāritradoṣh kem ṭāḷavo te have pachhīnā shlokamān batāvashe.
ātmagnānī potānā ātmānun yathārtha svarūp jāṇe chhe ane tene sharīrādi par dravyothī bhinna paṇ anubhave chhe, chhatān pūrvanā lāmbā vakhatanā sanskārono sarvathā abhāv nahi hovāthī tene koī koī vakhate bāhya padārthomān asthiratānā kāraṇe bhram thaī jāy chhe.
dharmīne asthiratāne līdhe rāg – dveṣh thaī jāy, paṇ shraddhā – gnānamān tene tenun svāmīpaṇun nathī ekatvabuddhi nathī. shraddhā gnānanā baḷathī ane bhed – gnānanī bhāvanāthī pūrvanā sanskārone naṣhṭa karavā te sadā prayatnashīl hoy chhe. jo te rāg – dveṣhane shraddhā gnānamān bhalā māne to te pharīthī bahirātmā mithyādraṣhṭi thaī jāy.
avirat samyagdraṣhṭine andar gnānachetanānun pariṇaman chhe, chhatān asthiratāne līdhe
