धारणीयम् । न च पुण्यपापत्वेन द्वित्वाद्बन्धस्य तद्धेत्वन्तरमन्वेष्टव्यं; एकेनैवानेनाध्यवसायेन दुःखयामि मारयामि इति, सुखयामि जीवयामीति च द्विधा शुभाशुभाहङ्काररसनिर्भरतया द्वयोरपि पुण्यपापयोर्बन्धहेतुत्वस्याविरोधात् ।
kāraṇ chhe em barābar nakkī karavun. ane puṇya-pāpapaṇe (puṇya-pāparūpe) bandhanun be-paṇun hovāthī bandhanā kāraṇano bhed na shodhavo (arthāt em na mānavun ke puṇyabandhanun kāraṇ bījun chhe ane pāpabandhanun kāraṇ koī bījun chhe); kāraṇ ke ek ja ā adhyavasāy ‘duḥkhī karun chhun, mārun chhun’ em ane ‘sukhī karun chhun, jivāḍun chhun’ em be prakāre shubh-ashubh ahaṅkārarasathī bharelāpaṇā vaḍe puṇya ane pāp — bannenā bandhanun kāraṇ hovāmān avirodh chhe (arthāt ek ja adhyavasāyathī puṇya ane pāp — banneno bandh thavāmān koī virodh nathī).
bhāvārthaḥ — ā agnānamay adhyavasāy ja bandhanun kāraṇ chhe. temān, ‘jivāḍun chhun, sukhī karun chhun’ evā shubh ahaṅkārathī bharelo te shubh adhyavasāy chhe ane ‘mārun chhun, duḥkhī karun chhun’ evā ashubh ahaṅkārathī bharelo te ashubh adhyavasāy chhe. ahaṅkārarūp mithyābhāv to bannemān chhe; tethī agnānamayapaṇe banne adhyavasāy ek ja chhe. māṭe em na mānavun ke puṇyanun kāraṇ bījun chhe ane pāpanun kāraṇ bījun chhe. agnānamay adhyavasāy ja bannenun kāraṇ chhe.
‘ā rīte kharekhar hinsāno adhyavasāy ja hinsā chhe em phalit thayun’ — em have kahe chheḥ —
gāthārthaḥ — [सत्त्वान्] jīvone [मारयतु] māro [वा मा मारयतु] athavā na māro — [बन्धः] karmabandh [अध्यवसितेन] adhyavasānathī ja thāy chhe. [एषः] ā, [निश्चयनयस्य] nishchayanaye, [जीवानां] jīvonā [बन्धसमासः] bandhano saṅkṣhep chhe.

परजीवानां स्वकर्मोदयवैचित्र्यवशेन प्राणव्यपरोपः कदाचिद्भवतु, कदाचिन्मा भवतु, य एव हिनस्मीत्यहङ्काररसनिर्भरो हिंसायामध्यवसायः स एव निश्चयतस्तस्य बन्धहेतुः, निश्चयेन परभावस्य प्राणव्यपरोपस्य परेण कर्तुमशक्यत्वात् ।
अथाध्यवसायं पापपुण्ययोर्बन्धहेतुत्वेन दर्शयति —
ṭīkāḥ — par jīvone potānā karmanā udayanī vichitratānā vashe prāṇono vyaparop ( – uchchhed, viyog) kadāchit thāo, kadāchit na thāo, — ‘hun haṇun chhun’ evo je ahaṅkārarasathī bharelo hinsāmān adhyavasāy (arthāt hinsāno adhyavasāy) te ja nishchayathī tene ( hinsāno adhyavasāy karanārā jīvane) bandhanun kāraṇ chhe, kem ke nishchayathī parano bhāv evo je prāṇono vyaparop te parathī karāvo ashakya chhe (arthāt te parathī karī shakāto nathī).
bhāvārthaḥ — nishchayanaye bījānā prāṇono viyog bījāthī karī shakāto nathī; tenā potānā karmanā udayanī vichitratāvash kadāchit thāy chhe, kadāchit nathī thato. māṭe je em māne chhe — ahaṅkār kare chhe ke ‘hun par jīvane mārun chhun’, teno te ahaṅkārarūp adhyavasāy agnānamay chhe. te adhyavasāy ja hinsā chhe — potānā vishuddha chaitanyaprāṇano ghāt chhe, ane te ja bandhanun kāraṇ chhe. ā nishchayanayano mat chhe.
ahīn vyavahāranayane gauṇ karīne kahyun chhe em jāṇavun. māṭe te kathan kathañchit (arthāt apekṣhāpūrvak) chhe em samajavun; sarvathā ekāntapakṣha to mithyātva chhe.

bhāvārthaḥ — jem hinsāmān adhyavasāy te pāpabandhanun kāraṇ kahyun chhe tem asatya, adatta ( – vagar dīdhelun levun te, chorī), abrahmacharya ane parigrah — temanāmān adhyavasāy te paṇ pāpabandhanun kāraṇ chhe. vaḷī jem ahinsāmān adhyavasāy te puṇyabandhanun kāraṇ chhe tem satya, datta ( – dīdhelun levun te), brahmacharya ane aparigrah — temanāmān adhyavasāy te paṇ puṇyabandhanun kāraṇ chhe. ā rīte, pāñch pāpomān (avratomān) adhyavasāy karavāmān āve te pāpabandhanun kāraṇ chhe ane pāñch (ekadesh ke sarvadesh) vratomān adhyavasāy karavāmān āve te puṇyabandhanun kāraṇ chhe. pāp ane puṇya bannenā bandhanamān, adhyavasāy ja ekamātra bandh-kāraṇ chhe.

न च बाह्यवस्तु द्वितीयोऽपि बन्धहेतुरिति शङ्कयम् —
अध्यवसानमेव बन्धहेतुः, न तु बाह्यवस्तु, तस्य बन्धहेतोरध्यवसानस्य हेतुत्वेनैव चरितार्थत्वात् । तर्हि किमर्थो बाह्यवस्तुप्रतिषेधः ? अध्यवसानप्रतिषेधार्थः । अध्यवसानस्य हि बाह्यवस्तु आश्रयभूतं; न हि बाह्यवस्त्वनाश्रित्य अध्यवसानमात्मानं लभते । यदि बाह्यवस्त्वनाश्रित्यापि अध्यवसानं जायेत तदा, यथा वीरसूसुतस्याश्रयभूतस्य सद्भावे
vaḷī ‘bāhyavastu te bījun paṇ bandhanun kāraṇ hashe’ evī shaṅkā na karavī. (‘adhyavasāy te bandhanun ek kāraṇ hashe ane bāhyavastu te bandhanun bījun kāraṇ hashe’ evī paṇ shaṅkā karavī yogya nathī; adhyavasāy ja ekanun ek bandhanun kāraṇ chhe, bāhyavastu bandhanun kāraṇ nathī.) āvā arthanī gāthā have kahe chheḥ —
gāthārthaḥ — [पुनः] vaḷī, [जीवानाम्] jīvone [यत्] je [अध्यवसानं तु] adhyavasān [भवति] thāy chhe te [वस्तु] vastune [प्रतीत्य] avalambīne thāy chhe [च तु] topaṇ [वस्तुतः] vastuthī [न बन्धः] bandh nathī, [अध्यवसानेन] adhyavasānathī ja [बन्धः अस्ति] bandh chhe.
ṭīkāḥ — adhyavasān ja bandhanun kāraṇ chhe; bāhyavastu bandhanun kāraṇ nathī, kem ke bandhanun kāraṇ je adhyavasān tenā kāraṇapaṇāthī ja bāhyavastune charitārthapaṇun chhe (arthāt bandhanun kāraṇ je adhyavasān tenun kāraṇ thavāmān ja bāhyavastunun kāryakṣhetra pūrun thāy chhe, te kāī bandhanun kāraṇ thatī nathī). ahīn prashna thāy chhe ke — jo bāhyavastu bandhanun kāraṇ nathī to (‘bāhyavastuno prasaṅg na karo, tyāg karo’ em) bāhyavastuno pratiṣhedh (niṣhedh) shā māṭe karavāmān āve chhe? tenun samādhānaḥ — adhyavasānanā pratiṣhedh arthe bāhyavastuno pratiṣhedh karavāmān āve chhe. adhyavasānane bāhyavastu āshrayabhūt chhe; bāhyavastuno āshray karyā vinā adhyavasān potānā svarūpane pāmatun nathī arthāt ūpajatun nathī. jo bāhyavastuno āshray karyā vinā paṇ adhyavasān

वीरसूसुतं हिनस्मीत्यध्यवसायो जायते, तथा वन्ध्यासुतस्याश्रयभूतस्यासद्भावेऽपि वन्ध्यासुतं हिनस्मीत्यध्यवसायो जायेत । न च जायते । ततो निराश्रयं नास्त्यध्यवसानमिति नियमः । तत एव चाध्यवसानाश्रयभूतस्य बाह्यवस्तुनोऽत्यन्तप्रतिषेधः, हेतुप्रतिषेधेनैव हेतुमत्प्रतिषेधात् । न च
बन्धहेतुहेतुत्वे सत्यपि बाह्यवस्तु बन्धहेतुः स्यात्, ईर्यासमितिपरिणतयतीन्द्रपदव्यापाद्यमान- वेगापतत्कालचोदितकुलिङ्गवत्, बाह्यवस्तुनो बन्धहेतुहेतोरबन्धहेतुत्वेन बन्धहेतुत्वस्यानैकान्तिक- त्वात् । अतो न बाह्यवस्तु जीवस्यातद्भावो बन्धहेतुः, अध्यवसानमेव तस्य तद्भावो बन्धहेतुः ।
ūpajatun hoy to, jem āshrayabhūt evā *vīrajananīnā putranā sadbhāvamān (koīne) evo adhyavasāy ūpaje chhe ke ‘hun vīrajananīnā putrane haṇun chhun’ tem āshrayabhūt evā vandhyāputranā asadbhāvamān paṇ (koīne) evo adhyavasāy ūpaje ( – ūpajavo joīe) ke ‘hun vandhyāputrane (vāñjhaṇīnā putrane) haṇun chhun’. parantu evo adhyavasāy to (koīne) ūpajato nathī. (jyān vandhyāno putra ja nathī tyān māravāno adhyavasāy kyāthī ūpaje?) māṭe evo niyam chhe ke (bāhyavasturūp) āshray vinā adhyavasān hotun nathī. ane tethī ja adhyavasānane āshrayabhūt evī je bāhyavastu teno atyant pratiṣhedh chhe, kem ke kāraṇanā pratiṣhedhathī ja kāryano pratiṣhedh thāy chhe. (bāhyavastu adhyavasānanun kāraṇ chhe tethī tenā pratiṣhedhathī adhyavasānano pratiṣhedh thāy chhe). parantu, joke bāhyavastu bandhanā kāraṇanun (arthāt
(bāhyavastu) bandhanun kāraṇ nathī; kem ke iryāsamitimān pariṇamelā munīndranā pag vaḍe haṇāi jatā evā koī jhaḍapathī āvī paḍatā kāḷaprerit ūḍatā jīvaḍānī māphak, bāhyavastu — ke je bandhanā kāraṇanun kāraṇ chhe te — bandhanun kāraṇ nahi thatī hovāthī, bāhyavastune bandhanun kāraṇapaṇun mānavāmān anaikāntik hetvābhāsapaṇun chhe — vyabhichār āve chhe. (ām nishchayathī bāhyavastune bandhanun kāraṇapaṇun nirbādh rīte siddha thatun nathī.) māṭe bāhyavastu ke je jīvane atadbhāvarūp chhe te bandhanun kāraṇ nathī; adhyavasān ke je jīvane tadbhāvarūp chhe te ja bandhanun kāraṇ chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — bandhanun kāraṇ nishchayathī adhyavasān ja chhe; ane je bāhyavastuo chhe te adhyavasānanun ālamban chhe — temane ālambīne adhyavasān ūpaje chhe, tethī temane adhyavasānanun kāraṇ kahevāmān āve chhe. bāhyavastu vinā nirāshrayapaṇe adhyavasān ūpajatān nathī tethī bāhyavastuono tyāg karāvavāmān āve chhe. jo bandhanun kāraṇ bāhyavastu kahevāmān āve to temān vyabhichār āve chhe. (kāraṇ hovā chhatān koī sthaḷe kārya dekhāy ane koī sthaḷe kārya na dekhāy tene vyabhichār kahe chhe ane evā kāraṇane vyabhichārī — anaikāntik — kāraṇābhās kahe chhe.)

एवं बन्धहेतुत्वेन निर्धारितस्याध्यवसानस्य स्वार्थक्रियाकारित्वाभावेन मिथ्यात्वं दर्शयति —
परान् जीवान् दुःखयामि सुखयामीत्यादि, बन्धयामि मोचयामीत्यादि वा, यदेतदध्यवसानं
तत्सर्वमपि, परभावस्य परस्मिन्नव्याप्रियमाणत्वेन स्वार्थक्रियाकारित्वाभावात्, खकुसुमं
koī muni īryāsamitipūrvak yatnathī gaman karatā hoy temanā pag taḷe koī ūḍatun jīvaḍun vegathī āvī paḍīne marī gayun to tenī hinsā munine lāgatī nathī. ahīn bāhya draṣhṭithī jovāmān āve to hinsā thaī, parantu munine hinsāno adhyavasāy nahi hovāthī temane bandh thato nathī. jem te pag nīche marī jatun jīvaḍun munine bandhanun kāraṇ nathī tem anya bāhyavastuo viṣhe paṇ samajavun. ā rīte bāhyavastune bandhanun kāraṇ mānavāmān vyabhichār āvato hovāthī bāhyavastu bandhanun kāraṇ nathī em siddha thayun. vaḷī bāhyavastu vinā nirāshraye adhyavasān thatān nathī tethī bāhyavastuno niṣhedh paṇ chhe ja.
ā rīte bandhanā kāraṇapaṇe ( – kāraṇ tarīke) nakkī karavāmān āvelun je adhyavasān te potānī arthakriyā karanārun nahi hovāthī mithyā chhe — em have darshāve chheḥ —
gāthārthaḥ — he bhāī! ‘[जीवान्] hun jīvone [दुःखितसुखितान्] duḥkhī-sukhī [करोमि] karun chhun, [बन्धयामि] bandhāvun chhun [तथा विमोचयामि] tathā mukāvun chhun, [या एषा ते मूढमतिः] evī je ā tārī mūḍh mati ( – mohit buddhi) chhe [सा] te [निरर्थिका] nirarthak hovāthī [खलु] kharekhar [मिथ्या] mithyā ( – khoṭī) chhe.

लुनामीत्यध्यवसानवन्मिथ्यारूपं, केवलमात्मनोऽनर्थायैव ।
कुतो नाध्यवसानं स्वार्थक्रियाकारीति चेत् —
यत्किल बन्धयामि मोचयामीत्यध्यवसानं तस्य हि स्वार्थक्रिया यद्बन्धनं मोचनं
जीवानाम् । जीवस्त्वस्याध्यवसायस्य सद्भावेऽपि सरागवीतरागयोः स्वपरिणामयोः अभावान्न बध्यते,
potānī arthakriyā karanārun nahi hovāthī, ‘hun ākāshanā phūlane chūṇṭun chhun’ evā adhyavasānanī māphak mithyārūp chhe, kevaḷ potānā anarthane māṭe ja chhe (arthāt mātra potāne ja nukasānanun kāraṇ thāy chhe, parane to kāī karī shakatun nathī).
bhāvārthaḥ — je potānī arthakriyā ( – prayojanabhūt kriyā) karī shakatun nathī te nirarthak chhe, athavā jeno viṣhay nathī te nirarthak chhe. jīv par jīvone duḥkhī-sukhī ādi karavānī buddhi kare chhe, parantu par jīvo to potānā karyā duḥkhī-sukhī thatā nathī; tethī te buddhi nirarthak chhe ane nirarthak hovāthī mithyā chhe — khoṭī chhe.
have pūchhe chhe ke adhyavasāy potānī arthakriyā karanārun kaī rīte nathī? teno uttar kahe chheḥ —
gāthārthaḥ — he bhāī! [यदि हि] jo kharekhar [अध्यवसाननिमित्तं] adhyavasānanā nimitte [जीवाः] jīvo [कर्मणा बध्यन्ते] karmathī bandhāy chhe [च] ane [मोक्षमार्गे स्थिताः] mokṣhamārgamān sthit [मुच्यन्ते] mukāy chhe, [तद्] to [त्वम् किं करोषि] tun shun kare chhe? (tāro to bāndhavā-chhoḍavāno abhiprāy viphaḷ gayo.)

न मुच्यते; सरागवीतरागयोः स्वपरिणामयोः सद्भावात्तस्याध्यवसायस्याभावेऽपि बध्यते, मुच्यते च । ततः परत्राकिञ्चित्करत्वान्नेदमध्यवसानं स्वार्थक्रियाकारि; ततश्च मिथ्यैवेति भावः ।
potānā sarāg-vītarāg pariṇāmanā sadbhāvathī, te adhyavasāyano abhāv hovā chhatān paṇ, bandhāy chhe, mukāy chhe. māṭe paramān akiñchitkar hovāthī (arthāt kāī nahi karī shakatun hovāthī ) ā adhyavasān potānī arthakriyā karanārun nathī; ane tethī mithyā ja chhe. — āvo bhāv (āshay) chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — je hetu kāī paṇ na kare te akiñchitkar kahevāy chhe. ā bāndhavā-chhoḍavānun adhyavasān paṇ paramān kāī karatun nathī; kāraṇ ke te adhyavasān na hoy topaṇ jīv potānā sarāg-vītarāg pariṇāmathī bandh-mokṣhane pāme chhe, ane te adhyavasān hoy topaṇ potānā sarāg-vītarāg pariṇāmanā abhāvathī bandh-mokṣhane nathī pāmato. ā rīte adhyavasān paramān akiñchitkar hovāthī sva-arthakriyā karanārun nathī ane tethī mithyā chhe.
have ā arthanā kaḷasharūpe ane āgaḷanā kathananī sūchanikārūpe shlok kahe chheḥ —
shlokārthaḥ — [अनेन निष्फलेन अध्यवसायेन मोहितः] ā niṣhphaḷ (nirarthak) adhyavasāyathī mohit thayo thako [आत्मा] ātmā [तत् किञ्चन अपि न एव अस्ति यत् आत्मानं न करोति] potāne sarvarūp kare chhe, — evun kāī paṇ nathī ke je-rūp potāne na karato hoy.
bhāvārthaḥ — ā ātmā mithyā abhiprāyathī bhūlyo thako chaturgati-sansāramān jeṭalī avasthāo chhe, jeṭalā padārtho chhe te sarvarūp potāne thayelo māne chhe; potānā shuddha svarūpane nathī oḷakhato. 171.

पुण्यं, विपच्यमानदुःखादिपापाध्यवसानेन पापमात्मानं कुर्यात् । तथैव च ज्ञायमानधर्माध्यवसानेन धर्मं, ज्ञायमानाधर्माध्यवसानेनाधर्मं, ज्ञायमानजीवान्तराध्यवसानेन जीवान्तरं, ज्ञायमानपुद्गलाध्यव- सानेन पुद्गलं, ज्ञायमानलोकाकाशाध्यवसानेन लोकाकाशं, ज्ञायमानालोकाकाशाध्यवसानेना- लोकाकाशमात्मानं कुर्यात् ।
दात्मानमात्मा विदधाति विश्वम् ।
नास्तीह येषां यतयस्त एव ।।१७२।।
puṇyarūp kare chhe ane udayamān āvatā duḥkh ādi pāpanā adhyavasānathī potāne pāparūp kare chhe; vaḷī tevī ja rīte jāṇavāmān āvato je dharma (arthāt dharmāstikāy) tenā adhyavasānathī potāne dharmarūp kare chhe, jāṇavāmān āvatā adharmanā (arthāt adharmāstikāyanā) adhyavasānathī potāne adharmarūp kare chhe, jāṇavāmān āvatā anya jīvanā adhyavasānathī potāne anyajīvarūp kare chhe, jāṇavāmān āvatā pudgalanā adhyavasānathī potāne pudgalarūp kare chhe, jāṇavāmān āvatā lokākāshanā adhyavasānathī potāne lokākāsharūp kare chhe ane jāṇavāmān āvatā alokākāshanā adhyavasānathī potāne alokākāsharūp kare chhe. bhāvārthaḥ — ā adhyavasān agnānarūp chhe tethī tene potānun paramārtha svarūp na jāṇavun. te adhyavasānathī ja ātmā potāne anek avasthārūp kare chhe arthāt temanāmān potāpaṇun mānī pravarte chhe.

भावात्, शुभेनाशुभेन वा कर्मणा न खलु लिप्येरन् ।

‘‘adhyavasān shabda vāramvār kahetā āvyā chho, te adhyavasān shun chhe? tenun svarūp barābar samajavāmān nathī āvyun.’’ ām pūchhavāmān āvatān, have adhyavasānanun svarūp gāthāmān kahe chheḥ —

ṭīkāḥ — sva-parano avivek hoy (arthāt sva-paranun bhedagnān na hoy) tyāre jīvanī 1adhyavasitimātra te adhyavasān chhe; ane te ja (arthāt jene adhyavasān kahyun te ja) bodhan- mātrapaṇāthī buddhi chhe, 2vyavasānamātrapaṇāthī vyavasāy chhe, 3mananamātrapaṇāthī mati chhe, vignapti- mātrapaṇāthī vignān chhe, chetanāmātrapaṇāthī chitta chhe, chetananā bhavanamātrapaṇāthī bhāv chhe, chetananā pariṇamanamātrapaṇāthī pariṇām chhe. bhāvārthaḥ — ā je buddhi ādi āṭh nāmothī kahyā te badhāy chetan ātmānā pariṇām chhe. jyān sudhī svaparanun bhedagnān na hoy tyān sudhī jīvane je potānā ne paranā ekapaṇānā nishchayarūp pariṇati varte chhe tene buddhi ādi āṭh nāmothī kahevāmān āve chhe.
‘adhyavasān tyāgavāyogya kahyān chhe tethī em samajāy chhe ke vyavahārano tyāg karāvyo chhe ane nishchayanun grahaṇ karāvyun chhe’ — evā arthanun, āgaḷanā kathananī sūchanārūp kāvya have kahe chheḥ —

[तत्] to pachhī, [अमी सन्तः] ā satpuruṣho [एकम् सम्यक् निश्चयम् एव निष्कम्पम् आक्रम्य] ek samyak nishchayane ja niṣhkampapaṇe aṅgīkār karīne [शुद्धज्ञानघने निजे महिम्नि] shuddhagnānaghanasvarūp nij mahimāmān ( – ātmasvarūpamān) [धृतिम् किं न बध्नन्ति] sthiratā kem dharatā nathī?
bhāvārthaḥ — jineshvaradeve anya padārthomān ātmabuddhirūp adhyavasān chhoḍāvyān chhe tethī ā parāshrit vyavahār ja badhoy chhoḍāvyo chhe em jāṇavun. māṭe ‘shuddhagnānasvarūp potānā ātmāmān sthiratā rākho’ evo shuddhanishchayanā grahaṇano upadesh āchāryadeve karyo chhe. vaḷī, ‘‘jo bhagavāne adhyavasān chhoḍāvyān chhe to have satpuruṣho nishchayane niṣhkampapaṇe aṅgīkār karī svarūpamān kem nathī ṭharatā — e amane acharaj chhe’’ em kahīne āchāryadeve āshcharya batāvyun chhe. 173.

पराश्रितत्वाविशेषात् । प्रतिषेध्य एव चायं, आत्माश्रितनिश्चयनयाश्रितानामेव मुच्यमानत्वात्, पराश्रितव्यवहारनयस्यैकान्तेनामुच्यमानेनाभव्येनाप्याश्रीयमाणत्वाच्च ।
कथमभव्येनाप्याश्रीयते व्यवहारनयः इति चेत् —
chhe, kāraṇ ke vyavahāranayane paṇ parāshritapaṇun samān ja chhe ( – jem adhyavasān parāshrit chhe tem vyavahāranay paṇ parāshrit chhe, temān taphāvat nathī). ane ā vyavahāranay e rīte niṣhedhavā- yogya ja chhe; kāraṇ ke ātmāshrit nishchayanayano āshray karanārāo ja (karmathī) mukta thāy chhe ane parāshrit vyavahāranayano āshray to ekānte nahi mukta thato evo abhavya paṇ kare chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — ātmāne paranā nimittathī je anek bhāvo thāy chhe te badhā vyavahāranayanā viṣhay hovāthī vyavahāranay to parāshrit chhe, ane je ek potāno svābhāvik bhāv chhe te ja nishchayanayano viṣhay hovāthī nishchayanay ātmāshrit chhe. adhyavasān paṇ vyavahāranayano ja viṣhay chhe tethī adhyavasānano tyāg te vyavahāranayano ja tyāg chhe, ane pahelānī gāthāomān adhyavasānanā tyāgano upadesh chhe te vyavahāranayanā ja tyāgano upadesh chhe. ā pramāṇe nishchayanayane pradhān karīne vyavahāranayanā tyāgano upadesh karyo chhe tenun kāraṇ e chhe ke — jeo nishchayanā āshraye pravarte chhe teo ja karmathī chhūṭe chhe ane jeo ekānte vyavahāranayanā ja āshraye pravarte chhe teo karmathī kadī chhūṭatā nathī.

शीलतपःपरिपूर्णं त्रिगुप्तिपंचसमितिपरिकलितमहिंसादिपञ्चमहाव्रतरूपं व्यवहारचारित्रं अभव्योऽपि कुर्यात्, तथापि च निश्चारित्रोऽज्ञानी मिथ्याद्रष्टिरेव, निश्चयचारित्रहेतुभूतज्ञानश्रद्धान- शून्यत्वात् ।
तस्यैकादशाङ्गज्ञानमस्ति इति चेत् —
मोक्षं हि न तावदभव्यः श्रद्धत्ते, शुद्धज्ञानमयात्मज्ञानशून्यत्वात् । ततो ज्ञानमपि नासौ [अज्ञानी] agnānī [मिथ्याद्रष्टिः तु] ane mithyādraṣhṭi chhe.
ṭīkāḥ — shīl ane tapathī paripūrṇa, traṇ gupti ane pāñch samiti pratye sāvadhānī – bharelun, ahinsādi pāñch mahāvratarūp vyavahārachāritra abhavya paṇ kare chhe arthāt pāḷe chhe; topaṇ te (abhavya) nishchāritra ( – chāritrarahit), agnānī ane mithyādraṣhṭi ja chhe kāraṇ ke nishchayachāritranā kāraṇarūp gnān-shraddhānathī shūnya chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — abhavya jīv mahāvrat-samiti-guptirūp vyavahār chāritra pāḷe topaṇ nishchay samyaggnānashraddhān vinā te chāritra ‘samyakchāritra’ nām pāmatun nathī; māṭe te agnānī, mithyādraṣhṭi ane nishchāritra ja chhe.
have shiṣhya pūchhe chhe ke — tene agiyār aṅganun gnān to hoy chhe; chhatān tene agnānī kem kahyo? teno uttar kahe chheḥ —

श्रद्धत्ते । ज्ञानमश्रद्दधानश्चाचाराद्येकादशाङ्गं श्रुतमधीयानोऽपि श्रुताध्ययनगुणाभावान्न ज्ञानी स्यात् । स किल गुणः श्रुताध्ययनस्य यद्विविक्तवस्तुभूतज्ञानमयात्मज्ञानं; तच्च विविक्तवस्तुभूतं ज्ञानम- श्रद्दधानस्याभव्यस्य श्रुताध्ययनेन न विधातुं शक्येत । ततस्तस्य तद्गुणाभावः । ततश्च ज्ञानश्रद्धानाभावात् सोऽज्ञानीति प्रतिनियतः ।
तस्य धर्मश्रद्धानमस्तीति चेत् —
shūnya hovāne līdhe, nathī shraddhato. tethī gnānane paṇ te nathī shraddhato. ane gnānane nahi shraddhato te, āchārāṅg ādi agiyār aṅgarūp shrutane (shāstrane) bhaṇato hovā chhatān, shāstra bhaṇavāno je guṇ tenā abhāvane līdhe gnānī nathī. je bhinnavastubhūt gnānamay ātmānun gnān te shāstra bhaṇavāno guṇ chhe; ane te to (arthāt evun shuddhātmagnān to), bhinnavastubhūt gnānane nahi shraddhatā evā abhavyane shāstra-bhaṇatar vaḍe karī shakātun nathī (arthāt shāstra-bhaṇatar tene shuddhātmagnān karī shakatun nathī); māṭe tene shāstra bhaṇavānā guṇano abhāv chhe; ane tethī gnān- shraddhānanā abhāvane līdhe te agnānī ṭharyo — nakkī thayo.
bhāvārthaḥ — abhavya jīv agiyār aṅg bhaṇe topaṇ tene shuddha ātmānun gnān-shraddhān thatun nathī; tethī tene shāstranā bhaṇatare guṇ na karyo; ane tethī te agnānī ja chhe.
pharī shiṣhya pūchhe chhe ke — abhavyane dharmanun shraddhān to hoy chhe; chhatān ‘tene shraddhān nathī’ em kem kahyun? teno uttar have kahe chheḥ —

अभव्यो हि नित्यकर्मफलचेतनारूपं वस्तु श्रद्धत्ते, नित्यज्ञानचेतनामात्रं न तु श्रद्धत्ते,
नित्यमेव भेदविज्ञानानर्हत्वात् । ततः स कर्ममोक्षनिमित्तं ज्ञानमात्रं भूतार्थं धर्मं न श्रद्धत्ते, भोग-
निमित्तं शुभकर्ममात्रमभूतार्थमेव श्रद्धत्ते । तत एवासौ अभूतार्थधर्मश्रद्धानप्रत्ययनरोचनस्पर्शनै-
रुपरितनग्रैवेयकभोगमात्रमास्कन्देत्, न पुनः कदाचनापि विमुच्येत । ततोऽस्य भूतार्थधर्म-
श्रद्धानाभावात् श्रद्धानमपि नास्ति । एवं सति तु निश्चयनयस्य व्यवहारनयप्रतिषेधो युज्यत एव ।
karmakṣhayanā nimittarūp dharmane nahi. (karmakṣhayanā nimittarūp dharmane nathī shraddhato, nathī tenī pratīt karato, nathī tenī ruchi karato ane nathī tene sparshato.)
ṭīkāḥ — abhavya jīv nityakarmaphaḷachetanārūp vastune shraddhe chhe parantu nityagnānachetanā- mātra vastune nathī shraddhato kāraṇ ke te (abhavya) sadāy (svaparanā) bhedavignānane ayogya chhe. māṭe te (abhavya jīv) karmathī chhūṭavānā nimittarūp, gnānamātra, bhūtārtha (satyārtha) dharmane nathī shraddhato, bhoganā nimittarūp, shubhakarmamātra, abhūtārtha dharmane ja shraddhe chhe; tethī ja te abhūtārtha dharmanān shraddhān, pratīt, ruchi ane sparshanathī uparanā graiveyak sudhīnā bhogamātrane pāme chhe parantu kadāpi karmathī chhūṭato nathī. tethī tene bhūtārtha dharmanā shraddhānanā abhāvane līdhe (sāchun) shraddhān paṇ nathī.
ām hovāthī nishchayanay vaḍe vyavahāranayano niṣhedh yogya ja chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — abhavya jīvane bhedagnān thavānī yogyatā nahi hovāthī te karmaphaḷachetanāne jāṇe chhe parantu gnānachetanāne jāṇato nathī; tethī shuddha ātmik dharmanun shraddhān tene nathī. te shubh karmane ja dharma samajī shraddhān kare chhe tethī tenā phaḷ tarīke graiveyak sudhīnā bhogane pāme chhe parantu karmano kṣhay thato nathī. ā rīte satyārtha dharmanun shraddhān nahi hovāthī tene shraddhān ja kahī shakātun nathī.
ā pramāṇe vyavahāranayane āshrit abhavya jīvane gnān-shraddhān nahi hovāthī nishchayanay vaḍe karavāmān āvato vyavahārano niṣhedh yogya ja chhe.
ahīn eṭalun visheṣh jāṇavun ke — ā hetuvādarūp anubhavapradhān granth chhe tethī temān bhavya -abhavyano anubhavanī apekṣhāe nirṇay chhe. have jo āne ahetuvād āgam sāthe meḷavīe to — abhavyane vyavahāranayanā pakṣhano sūkṣhma, kevaḷīgamya āshay rahī jāy chhe ke je chhadmasthane anubhavagochar nathī paṇ hoto, mātra sarvagnadev jāṇe chhe; e rīte kevaḷ vyavahārano pakṣha rahevāthī tene sarvathā ekāntarūp mithyātva rahe chhe. abhavyane ā vyavahāranayanā pakṣhano āshay sarvathā kadī paṇ maṭato ja nathī.

have pūchhe chhe ke ‘‘nishchayanay vaḍe niṣhedhya (arthāt niṣhedhāvāyogya) je vyavahāranay, ane vyavahāranayano niṣhedhak je nishchayanay — te banne nayo kevā chhe?’’ evun pūchhavāmān āvatān vyavahār ane nishchayanun svarūp kahe chheḥ —
gāthārthaḥ — [आचारादि] āchārāṅg ādi shāstro te [ज्ञानं] gnān chhe, [जीवादि] jīv ādi tattvo te [दर्शनं विज्ञेयम् च] darshan jāṇavun [च] ane [षड्जीवनिकायं] chha jīv-nikāy te [चरित्रं] chāritra chhe — [तथा तु] em to [व्यवहारः भणति] vyavahāranay kahe chhe.
[खलु] nishchayathī [मम आत्मा] māro ātmā ja [ज्ञानम्] gnān chhe, [मे आत्मा] māro ātmā ja [दर्शनं चरित्रं च] darshan ane chāritra chhe, [आत्मा] māro ātmā ja [प्रत्याख्यानम्] pratyākhyān chhe, [मे आत्मा] māro ātmā ja [संवरः योगः] samvar ane yog ( – samādhi, dhyān) chhe.
